Urban Survival Simulation. This is Gotham Get Out.
Well, PBN family, this Urban Survival Simulation just got a hell of a lot better.
I'm getting a little paranoid, in all honesty.
This is something I didn't foresee.
Some interesting things.
Ooh!
Some very interesting things that I did not foresee.
I'll tell you one that's really interesting.
Actually, you know what? I'm going to save it for a Reflections talk.
Because I got a long trek back to base.
So I'm going to save that for a Reflections talk.
But my night just got tremendous because I found a pack of weatherproof
matches in cash too, thank you Dave Jones, the NBC guy, and enough cordage to, uh, I
don't know, enough cordage to do some real damage, and on top of that a beautiful black
trash bag. Um, we've definitely got some work to do
back at camp and we haven't even opened our third cache yet but i can tell you i'll tell you this
much these caches have really served us well they really have served us well, we got a lot to do still, long way to go,
but with the items I got in this beauty, man, I'm feeling good, I'm feeling good,
that was a pretty straightforward symbol cash, which is good, because my bag's getting a little hefty. I got this incredible bag that opened up to a blanket
from, had to be from Maria. Oh, oh, oh, oh, and then in the last bag, I also had all kinds of
cool stuff in baggies that I didn't tell you guys about. There was a baggie full of different kinds of little foodstuffs, anchovies, some coffee bean bombs, which I'm going to tear up once we get back to where we're going.
And then there was another one with like toilet paper and hot hands and just really, really nice stuff, stuff that I was not expecting to be in the boxes.
Stuff that I was not expecting to be in the boxes.
So, yeah, I haven't done really anything by way of crafting.
And, well, that's not true.
I did craft a, like I was saying, that bag I turned into a bedroll so I could take it out of my backpack.
Which has saved me so much space.
I have committed to a couple things in my backpack, one is a license plate, the other one is a, uh, the other one, did I get rid of the license plate,
I may have actually, I don't, yeah, I think I did actually, yeah, I haven't committed to a lot in my
own personal, um, of my own personal scavenging, and my reason behind that is,
I think I'm saving this backpack for cardboard and wood from dumpsters that is dry, and I think
I'm gonna load this thing up in the last leg of the trip to make sure that we have fire. Because to me, that's it, you know?
That's really it.
I'm not even necessarily that concerned about shelter.
I don't know what the other guys got.
But I can tell you this much.
We got enough.
Well, if I can't start a fire with 25 matches and a candle, I don't deserve to be who I am.
I think I could safely say that.
I'm going to pack this rope up and I'm out.
What am I going to craft with this rope?
What am I going to craft with this wood?
What am I going to craft with all this stuff?
I don't know.
A lot of it's already put together for me.
I didn't keep a lot for crafting.
So I may not do well in that leg of the competition,
but you've got to understand, like,
in my head, it's in two places.
Number one, get everybody to camp. Number two, make camp as hospitable as possible.
Making a zombie killing weapon out of some things in a cache is third on that list.
So, like I said, I may not do well in that portion of the event, and, you know, the reason I think
that I'm not going to do well in that portion of the event is, oh, you know what else I did that
was pretty interesting, and it worked really well for me in the early stages, and it might work
really well for me later, when I went by the dog crap stations, I grabbed a couple of those dog crap bags.
And I put my gloved hands in the bags and put the bags in my pockets.
And what I may do, you'll see what gets colder first.
I might put them on my feet if I need to.
I don't know.
We'll see.
But I'm heading out,
all right, cache number two is found, now it's time to work my way back, I'm gonna go back the way that
I came, um, because I stuck to a back road that was really nice, and then, uh, work my way through the
last leg of this thing, I'm going to talk more philosophical reflections on this urban
survival simulation in just a minute. Once I get going where I'm going and comfortable with where
I'm going, there's a last leg of this thing that's going to be boring. And I think I'll talk to you
then a little more. Okay. Because I've had a couple revelations. One is about paranoia and
one is about video games. Okay. I'll talk to you soon. See ya.
