Urban Survival Simulation This is Gotham Get Out The crackling fire, PBN family. I guess the skies are clear. You know, funny enough, I don't think any of us have actually been cold at all tonight. My feet got a little cold for a little while there, actually. But I don't know. To me, it's been a pretty warm affair.

So I took a picture of the tarp shelter i'll make sure you guys get a chance to see it we're all bundled up we got multitudes of different wood burning we were lucky enough to find a lot of fallen cedar wood so the fire is warm um we're munching a little right eating a little bit of food should have some baked beans here in a little bit looks like they're about to simmer i don't know man i'll tell you what this is my take on it you guys can give your take on it. But sort of this setup right here and now is more... It's less wilderness survival-y to me and more homeless encampment. Very much so. Definitely.

Well, complete fugitive. I like complete fugitive. If you didn't hear Dan hear Dan said complete fugitive yeah he does own bitcoin or who knows why but um not that i endorse or myself do anything illegal where i need to run away but things he does own bitcoin this country these days you really get persecuted for stuff you know they can set you up i don't know well you know i was arguing the fact with with a little bit with dan about being out here in this this kind of, but you bring up a good point, Ben.

People come and kick the door in and you head out the back door, you could find yourself in a situation quite similar. Or they come get you at work and you take off, you know. Who knows anymore the way the nation is. So, yeah, I guess. One thing you said was if you get to this situation, that means you pretty much already failed. Well's possible first off but second maybe you just need to be in the situation for a couple days and then you can move on that's a good point other place to go you just needed one two three days yeah move out and then kind of disappear you know maybe not start a fire in the

forest that no but that's a good way to look at it though and that is where this skill would really come in handy or this set of skills or whatever it is we're doing here would be in route yeah you know you're in route and i don't know though you know because well i guess if you're in route and it's in the woods then yeah because i found several places along the way that I would have slept in. I don't know if you guys found any of them. But I definitely found, like I was telling you about, that cinder-blocked-in, double, it was like a two-dumpster-blocked-in area.

Oh, it was beautiful in there. I think you crossed the same place we did. Was that on the way to your second cache? Yes, it was beautiful in there i think you crossed the same place we did i made it on the way to your second cache yes it was all right we went through that on the way oh okay the first cache to go in the other direction okay yeah yeah i stayed in there for a while i spent about an hour in there for a half hour at least Yeah, I was playing around with this thing. Okay. Trying to get it set up perfectly so I could carry it without it taking up the space in the bag. I couldn't get rid of it, though, for just this reason.

Because I knew I'd be by the fire wrapped up in it. And I wasn't willing to trade that. So, yeah, PBN fams, it's been fun, man. It's 1.30 in the morning, for those of you who will listen to this at a later date. And we've got, what, five and a half, six and a half hours. Four and a half. Less. Four and a half?

It's 1.30 right now? Six and a half in, four and a half to go. Four and a half to go. Four and a half to go. But and a half to go. Four and a half to go. But Dave, what time is Dave coming? Six, I think. Oh, is he? I think he's coming later.

I told him to come at seven because he's not going to be able to see anything at six. But knowing him, he probably will be here at six. Hey, that's fair. We're set up nicely now. Four and a half sure as hell sounds better than six and a half. So I'll take that but uh what else we got i guess i can give you the overview we found a uh set of set of trees to tether to i guess the biggest win came from the cache as far as shelter is concerned because we each got a tarp.

In our final cache, each one of us got a tarp. And that's a pretty big difference maker thus far. Actually, this one could probably go lower. It might be even better. But, yeah, so we're surrounded by tarp we are uh we had more cordage than you ever could have imagined and uh to be honest with you even the wood was not an issue i was a little surprised by that yeah the wood was basically a none issue. A lot of standing dead evergreen wood. A lot of fallen evergreen wood.

And we're living it up with the heat right now. Dan has committed to Overwatch for the whole night. No, I'm going to. Yeah, I mean. Dan's asleep. I thought I was sleeping. I may fall asleep. I don going to. Yeah, I mean. Dan's asleep. I thought I was sleeping. I may fall asleep. I don't know.

We'll see how it goes. But it's been fun, man. Many of you will probably get this tomorrow. But this likely will be our final check-in until the sun comes. But it's been a good time. I'll tell you this part about it. That I think is important to mention. When my kids.

Sometimes my kids. When they're at home on the couch. And we have to go somewhere. They fight with us over it. Right. And I call that. And sometimes it makes no sense to me at all, but I call it the spell of the house.

And I think it's just a matter of having a house that's nice and comfortable and homey and all the things you want are there already, so why ever go anywhere? And I fall victim to the spell of the house too. And I certainly was in that sort of condition about 24 hours ago. Take care of those leaves, man. You good? The fire wants to get a little closer. So anyway, about 24 hours ago, I was in that same boat.

I was thinking, you know, I don't know if I really want to do this. I'm going to do it anyway. Whether I don't want to do it or not, I'm going to do it anyway. And naturally, with anything that sucks and is hard, especially when you don't have to do it alone, it's always awesome. Once you do it you know and now we can talk about it for the next 75 podcasts so have fun with that guys all right i'm gonna eat i think i'm gonna eat some of these baked beans i will talk to you guys later appreciate you all see ya
