Starting point is 00:00:00 The Commander returned. John Keats. A little bit of prose. Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness. Close bosom friend of the maturing sun. Inspiring with him how to load and bless with fruit the vines that round thatchee's run. To bent with apples, the moss, cottage trees,
Starting point is 00:00:57 and fill all fruit with ripness to the queen. with ripeness to the core. To swallow gourd and plump the hazel shells with a sweet kernel, the set budding more and still more later flowers for the bees. Until they think warm days will never cease, for summer has overbrimmed their clammy cells, PBM family, John Keyes.
Starting point is 00:01:27 City Walk. back happy to be with you it has been uh a long time coming be back live with everybody what's going on here okay oh i've been anonymous now we got to return we're going to return back to uh really hard to put a patch on there we go high five just on just on the camera to stop following me so beware the headlines what's up firewolf quick you know i guess the reality is what i disappeared for a week i didn't tell you if you listen to the audio podcast you know if you're just video fan then you don't know i was gone vacation it was awesome i don't know i don't feel like really getting into that today to be honest with you what's with the funny name
Starting point is 00:02:30 in chat phoenix you got like a weird like a weird Skype name or something i don't know i don't feel like getting into the the whole breakdown of that that might come maybe that'll come on wednesday but it was great it was a good time i'll give you one little sneak peek into some of the fun that we had Anyway, I want to talk about, well, a lot of things, but, um, uh, Firewolf, you're right. You're right. It's a hack job. The whole internet was hacked today. Did you know that? The whole internet shut down. Half the internet. I saw that headline. This is why I'm in the newspaper now. This is why the drudge report is a dead entity. And, why i think the internet itself is a dying uh entity because the headline that was going around this morning that had zero effect on me whatsoever this morning as i got started was half the internet is down because the amazon cloud crashed is the age of like um um what is what's the word
Starting point is 00:03:51 i'm looking for is the knee jerk age over or is it just me do you know what I mean it's one of those things like there was a time when you could put a a striking headline up about a situation and the world would be like oh let me see let me read more now it feels like
Starting point is 00:04:11 it feels like negative magnetism you know what I mean like you see the headlines like that and you're like really I mean maybe it's just distrust in the media you don't trust it so you already right off the bat you read headline and you're like really did that really happen or you're just trying to get me to click
Starting point is 00:04:29 you know what i mean i don't know it's dying it's a dying thing red beacon red beacon is coming to save you don't worry and uh yeah stay tuned stay tuned for it but i woke up this is the big story half the internet shut down it's all back already it's like an hour long headlines like the biggest thing that you could read and it was over in an hour you know what I'm like oh my god half the internet shut down just kidding it's back up we're all good Amazon's not working
Starting point is 00:05:04 Snapchat for heaven's sake is down do you know what I mean Phoenix Survival 1 you know it must be I don't know what it is maybe she is a fed Firewolf you might be right
Starting point is 00:05:22 I read that out of immortal poems of the English language, a book I got from my friend Chin that is falling apart, which means it's great and awesome. You know what I mean? This book right here, if you had like a, if Kamala made it in, right, and they were going door to door, and instead of arresting illegal aliens,
Starting point is 00:05:51 they were arresting, you know, American citizens. Then this is one of those books that would help you through your sentence, through your federal prison sentence for voting for Donald Trump. Like if they started arresting all Donald Trump voters and throwing them into gulags, you could get through your sentence with immortal poems of the English language. That's a good one. I don't know what it is. Hundreds of pages, 600 pages.
Starting point is 00:06:20 Thank you, Jim. Beautiful. Beautiful, wonderful. I got another great one, but it's not here from Jordan. It's hilarious. I don't know where I put it. I'll show you that, too, one day. It's a good one. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:06:34 It's good to be back with you. It'll probably be kind of low-key this morning. You know, the outrage meter is just not there for me today. I'm not all, oh, my God. I can't believe it. I won't believe it. I mean, it is wild. It's funny that Hamas is already.
Starting point is 00:06:51 back to killing. They were like, all right, we're done. We're finished. They took a whole 24 hours off of killing, and they started killing Ghazans immediately, lining them up and executing. And the idiots in the streets, they're out there, you know? All they want is a state if we just gave Hamas their own state. If we just gave Palestine its own place to live, its own place to be, its own corner of the world to exist without the dirty jews around then they would stop shooting everyone and cutting heads off and you know the whole thing it's really just our fault you know it's just our fault they kill and kill and kill and kill no it's just some people kill you know what mean that's it just some people kill they're killers in the world they're a monster evil
Starting point is 00:07:43 demonic killers in the world and you have to strive to uh you know do everything you can to be able to stop that been the physical and in the spiritual that i mean that's as good that's as good a push as i can give you on a monday morning to be honest what's up born to bratt welcome welcome welcome in welcome that's pretty good that's a pretty good call to action uh american strength preparedness is american strength pvian family this is uh the big giveaway that we're doing for the next what is it four days four and a half days almost five days there is a link down wherever you're watching actually if you're on x there is not a link but scroll down in our profile and you'll find because i've been promoting it over
Starting point is 00:08:36 there big time um this is the big giveaway man yeah get involved get involved let's talk about it okay talk about it. What's all in the big giveaway? So click the link. I'm going to put a stream yard's really stepping its game up, by the way. Jay Ferg, I don't know if you've been playing around in here or not, but we've got cool stuff. Probably my most favorite thing they added is an audience. Amazing. It makes me feel what the audience is probably really thinking. So I guess I can come back on the screen. I'm going to put a QR code up for you. Another cool little feature, right?
Starting point is 00:09:21 Boom. Preparedness is American Strength. There you go. Which way is it? This way it is. Bingo. Preparedness is American Strength. Looking good.
Starting point is 00:09:37 Looking good. Click the, you know, do the thing with the phone. Do the thing with the phone. And that's the way. Yeah, the soundboard. It's going to be fun. We can now add whatever we want on a wave sound file situation. But Autumn has arrived here in Richmond, Virginia.
Starting point is 00:09:56 It was nice. We were in Orlando, Florida. We got back. You know, for me, I don't know how it works for you. I've mentioned this in the past a million times. Like, it's good to go, but it's always better to return. And who did we return? I mean, did we ever return?
Starting point is 00:10:13 We returned And yesterday was Just picturesque You know It really was And today's not going to be as beautiful Gusty You know what I mean
Starting point is 00:10:26 Gusty wins The white-topped clouds With the gray underside The trees starting to turn Leaves rolling across the ground Across the pavement and so forth Right Little chilly
Starting point is 00:10:42 In the morning And in the evening, a little rain came in the evening, right? Clouded up, gray clouds, the fall scene. Man, you better enjoy the seasons. I'm telling you right now, you better enjoy the seasons for what they are because it's one of those things. It's tremendous. It follows you through your whole life if you know how to appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:11:05 It makes me, and for the first time I think in my life, it makes me want to go hunt. It's weird. It makes me want to go. I do to flee hunt. because I pay for it and because I know it's a skill that you need to work on but I'm not necessarily a hunter not necessarily a guy who's like I can't wait to get out there and sit in the blind for six hours straight and pick the arm hair out of my arm you know what I mean
Starting point is 00:11:32 in boredom but I felt it man I felt that sort of like I want to get in a field with this whole schematic going on set up the blind sit in it you know watch the crickets jump and all that kind of stuff in the field sun come up the do start to you know the whole thing the mists the winds and oh it's god i hope you're enjoying it as much as i am because it was great to return to richmond in the fall the wood is cut right the wood is cut the fireplace is ready i think we're going to get like a low 40s maybe high 30s on Thursday that might be the first fire of the year but I can't wait for that first Saturday fire of the year you guys split wood got a fire pit out back something along those lines all the little fancy little fire starters and little flint and
Starting point is 00:12:31 steels and all that kind of stuff that you can buy the blackbeards rope or whatever the hell it is Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Sorry, the camera forgot about me. Nothing is going to make you better at fire starting than starting fires and sustaining fires, right? Not starting a quick fire, like with sparks on a sheet of paper or a Tinder bundle and going like, oh, I did it. All right, let's go inside to the warm. But starting fires and sustaining fires, that's what it's all about, right? In North Kakalaki, it sounds like they're going to get down to the 30s.
Starting point is 00:13:16 The Firewolf. I saw you Firewolf, by the way, on the Forge. In fact, we got to get another, I still have several episodes of Hammer Talk to put up from Firewolf Forge on our membership side. We got any amateur blacksmiths in the audience? It's awesome. It's a great time of year for it, too. Great time of year for it, or at least if it's not too cold, where you're at. But it is a good time to bang on some glowing metal.
Starting point is 00:13:48 You know, you could draw out some metal and create some firepokers for your fireplace. I found out a couple years ago that my technique, my hammering technique, was so bad. It really was a game changer. It really kind of changed. game for me the amount of energy that I was using to hammer was so everything about it was wrong for years like two years of just playing around with the forge and hot metal and having some success and that kind of thing I've got things we've done we've had some successes with the with the forge we've got curtains hung on things that I made and towel racks and what else
Starting point is 00:14:39 we've had successes you know what i mean and it's good it's really good oh i would love to see the nailhead or firewolf forge firewolf forge he creates our hammer talk content or has created a large chunk of hammer talk content which is a blacksmithing sort of DIY how to amazing content by the way like top notch what's up prepping patriot in the chat room how you doing my man i need a drone sound that's definitely what we need Thank you, Prep and Patriot. I'm going to put that down right now. Drone wave.
Starting point is 00:15:15 That's what we need. We need a drone wave flying over there. We're just talking about sounds and soundboard stuff that we could add. There's a new functionality in Stream Yard. That's a good one, man. That's a real good one. But anyway, I love the nail header. I really do.
Starting point is 00:15:32 I think the nail header and the process. See, I made a nail header on the forge. I took a, what I did to make mine, my tool set's not great. I think if I had better tools, better vice, I'd do a lot more blacksmithing. Maybe not, though. I don't know. I need time. I need like a whole other life, actually.
Starting point is 00:15:56 But anyway, I took a railroad spike, and I smashed the head of the spike flat, almost like I was making a spoon. Not super thin, but thin enough. and then I just heated that up and then took a what is it what the hell is it and all and hammered the all through to create a hole in the center right and then from there I was thinking I could make nails using smaller pieces of drawn-out metal and I don't know I think maybe my hole was a little too rough in the nail header because I would hammer in the spikes and create the flat head of the nail, then I couldn't get them out. I couldn't get them out.
Starting point is 00:16:48 I'd heat them up, then they melt or bend a little bit too much, and then the head of the nail header would get too hot, and it was all a mess. So I don't know. It almost seemed like what I was thinking is maybe I need a different kind of metal. you know what i mean for uh a different kind of metal for the nail itself something with a lower melting point right i don't know it's fun man it's good you know i don't want to be a blacksmith for a living but i can tell you right now for like 300 bucks maybe maybe like 500 bucks now when i started it was about i spent about 300 bucks and was up and running a hammer a propane
Starting point is 00:17:29 forge a piece of railroad track to smash it on and rebar and you're good you're rolling you're playing you know what i mean that's how quickly you can be blacksmithing you last week or two weeks ago or something we were talking about chopping wood and we're talking about the joys of doing those intrinsically human things and how good it feels to do those things and blacksmithing just another one of them you know you make your kid a knife or you make your dad a knife or something like that on the forge and you give it to them and it's like wow you know what i mean it's really really a good feeling um but it's like anything else takes time takes practice you know the other big thing that i learned about blacksmithing that one of my other big failures um was it takes
Starting point is 00:18:17 planning it takes real planning you know all of my best projects blacksmithing came uh from planning you know from from really going in with a solid plan and saying I'm going to I'm going to use this length of metal I'm going to bend it this way I'm going to put these holes in I'm going to have the tools I need to hold it in place to put these holes in whatever the situation was right we're going to draw this out we're going to turn this you know the whole thing yeah just it's one of those things the better my plan is going into a blacksmithing project the better the outcome every time if I go out there and I'm like I'm just going to make a sword today and just start banging away on stuff yeah it's never really never really works out very well prepping patriot talks about timber framing he's taking some class he's a member here at pb and he's taken a long time member too by the way i love your magatron that's pretty sweet man magotron is sweet um i was watching i god i whatever let's just have fun we haven't been together in a while um i was watching an ad these terrible ads that the the the Democrats are running in Virginia, and they're running these ads that are, I don't know if they get it or not, or maybe it's how starkly divided the nation is, but they're running these ads that are supposed to be, that are supposed to like put you off of the candidates on the Republican side, and they're listing all these things. He's part of MAGA and he's pro second amendment and he's, you know what I mean? And all these kind of, and you start, what I realized last night was watching.
Starting point is 00:19:55 NFL with my wife and I realize like they're they're promoting the best qualities of the Republican candidates on their ads that are supposed to be hit pieces anti-abortion and you know what I mean I'm watching it going like wow I really like this guy I'm like they're trying to defame them you know but the Patriot where's the Patriot the Patriot the Patriot has taken some timber framing classes sent us some pictures we've seen some stuff. I mean, it's, I don't know. I don't have the, I don't have the necessary implements to like practice it. You know what I mean? So I'd have to go do it somewhere like you did, which is cool. I think it's awesome. What's cooler than building your own place to live,
Starting point is 00:20:43 right? What's better than that? L2 survive is in chat. The nub is with us. The nub is with us. L2 Survive. If you're watching on YouTube, go check out his channel, L2 Survive, the letter L, the number two, survive. Great gear reviews. Top-notch gear reviews from a long-time PBN supporter. And yeah, you'd be crazy not to. Crazy not to. Oh, look at that. I like that, Phoenix, that underscore survival dash PBN. That's like an Instagram name. I like it though. It's good. It's definitely a good one. Let's talk about the giveaway. Let me bring it up here. I'll share a screen with you. We've got a lot of cool stuff to give away, ma'am. Let's view. Let us view. How do I view this thing?
Starting point is 00:21:44 Boom. Where's the prize pack? I don't know. I think I have to open an in-private because I entered to see if it was working. Because I'm going to win all the prizes, actually. That's the move. The move is to actually enter your own giveaway and win everything. You don't have to ship anything.
Starting point is 00:22:06 It's pretty cool. Give me one second. I've got to do an in-private window. Can I share an in-private window? I don't even know. We shall find out. Oh, maybe not. Maybe not. All right, whatever. We can talk about it this way.
Starting point is 00:22:28 So this all came to be probably based on the fact that the prepper disk folks didn't get me the prepper disc I was going to give away a prepper camp on time. So then I wound up with this extra prepper disc and I said, I want to give it away because it's sweet. Right. I've talked about it before on the show. We're not going to go too deep in depth on it. But basically, it's your own in-home Wi-Fi accessible, customizable internet, if you will. You know what I mean? A really cool device. You can modify it, add to it, do whatever it is you want to do with it. And, yeah, awesome.
Starting point is 00:23:06 Then we have the Solomon Drive. The Solomon Drive, I talked about this one on Instagram the other day. It's a cool little drive that is laid out really well. They did a great job at sort of the fun. I don't have it, like, put in there nicely the way it's supposed to be. They did a great job with sort of the functionality and interface on it, so it's really easy to search. And there's just so much, so much, there's so much, prepping and survival and homesteading and natural medicine and herbal remedy and, you know, animal husbandry and perennial gardening and food forestry, the whole thing. permaculture you name it this solomon drive has it plugs right into your computer boom and you
Starting point is 00:23:54 got you know a well see a lot of these survival libraries are not laid out very well the interface sodom's kind of hard to deal with the solemn drive's great for that um what else you get what else are you getting why doesn't this thing allow you to really like oh this works this is better I almost just fell out of the chair. I did a hard left. Hard left to find the fire kit almost fell out of the chair. That would have been hilarious. That would have been well worth it.
Starting point is 00:24:34 Lima Tangle Fire Kit packed with all the goods, fat wood, all kinds of waxed up stuff. This little fire starter I showed earlier comes with that kit. Things sweet. It's broken down. Everything fits inside this little box, a little waterproof box. It's got some of those tabs that you fire extender tabs. Cool.
Starting point is 00:24:57 It's an awesome little fire kit. $25 on LemaTango Survival.com. If you want to get one of your own, highly worth it. Throw it in a bag, you're good. I throw that in a bag with a Ziploc bag full of dryer lint. You're getting fire. I've got a cool bugout bag that's not here. That's going to be a part of the deal.
Starting point is 00:25:19 I've got an awesome little biometric lock. If you want something special for your prep or stash, your, you know, whatever it is, this cool fingerprint lock. These are awesome. I have one actually on my microphone. And it's what it is. It's a biometric lock. It's pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:25:37 And you can program it to multiple people. So it doesn't have to be just your fingerprint. It can be you, your kids, your wife, right? What's up, Ender Wins? Starting point is 00:29:13 over at Lima Tango Survive. I'm trying to put their cool video up. Yeah. The hygiene kit's great. It's a part of their bugout bag. You know, I think the hygiene kit came in the gray man bag, which I think is great.
Starting point is 00:29:28 That's the alpha. That's the one-man alpha right there that you're seeing in the video. Awesome bag. More than you could ever really use for one man, 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours if you know what you're doing that's i don't know i don't know how long you can last
Starting point is 00:29:47 in a bag like that if i had the disposable income i would put it to the test i'll tell you that right now code is on the other side oh my mere am i mirrored yeah it's hard it's a weird thing so the other big thing what's the other big thing what is it i don't remember it was on my tip of my tongue. There you go. L2 survives. Got a witty comment. I'm glad you entered though.
Starting point is 00:30:21 Thank you. Appreciate it. No need for anyone to enter. I already did. And I'm hashtag even hashtag blessed. But the autocorrect robots won't let you express yourself the way you want to. So such is life. You can't be as witty as you want.
Starting point is 00:30:38 L2 survive. It's just not going to work. they say no they say no on that one the fall is moving into the one and only I know you guys are looking forward to it you look forward to it every year I look forward to making it every year
Starting point is 00:30:55 I think it's one of the it's one of the best things that we've ever created here at PBN the ultimate preppers black Friday catalog probably two weeks out something like that probably about two to three weeks out max And we'll have the The 2025. This will be like year four, I think.
Starting point is 00:31:16 Year four, 2025, The Ultimate Preppers Black Friday Catalog. If you're watching and you have a prep or business or service that you want to promote in the catalog, just reach out. We do like half page and full page ads. We're going to have a full page for that awesome emergency binder this year. That'll do well.
Starting point is 00:31:37 Excuse me. And all kind of stuff. We do all the host books, all the host little projects and things that they sell, some classes that they teach. Last year's was awesome. There's so many cool products. I got water products. You guys won't even believe.
Starting point is 00:31:54 I don't know if they'll be in it. They should be in it. I'll try to convince them to be in it. But the water stuff is crazy. The technology for purifying and filtering. watering water is so desalination. I'm talking to a guy right now. He's got like a water desalination.
Starting point is 00:32:18 It's a water desalination product that also generates power with fire. So I don't even know how the thing works completely, but I'm going to have them on the show for sure. But it's awesome. Over a fire, you can desalinate water. I guess it distills. but then it also uses must use the salt water itself to generate power. There's another guy we've been trying to get as a sponsor for weeks. I can't get a hold of.
Starting point is 00:32:51 We're going to get him. And he's got this awesome device too. Man, it turns water into chlorine. You know, like you've got your gallon jugs of bleach for water purification stored, I'm sure. You know, the 6886. rule and uh this guy's got this tube you put it in the water and boom right right l2 survive you're right man you are very right we're going to do a show about it maybe we'll do wednesday show about it it's a big one it was he was even just a little chilly
Starting point is 00:33:24 in florida you know yeah he says the winter's going to be harsh get prepped for it now yeah jones always talks about it you know jones always talks about i got eight ways to heat the house seven ways to heat the house or whatever it is and it's a good plan it's a good plan if you have solar and you think you're going to heat the house with electric a powered heaters in an emergency do that now okay do that right now and see what that looks like i tested this a few years ago just out of curiosity and i have a very powerful solar generator sitting next to me and i was like just see you know i mean i know he is just a drain on power so i said let's see what we could really get out of running one space heater modern rotating oscillating space heater um
Starting point is 00:34:19 on a 3 000 watt solar generator and you're not going to be warm for law you know what i mean now if you got it you know lots of solar feeding into your system that's different but if you were on the border you know what i mean and you're thinking that you might have enough solar power you might not now's the time to test that out all right uh phoenix says it's going to be a harsh and wet winter yeah there is something about it the wood is stacked though you know there's more to split but the wood is stacked and i may get more even there i don't know you know i'm a big fan of like i said the head of the show i'm a big fan of the seasons man enjoy them don't live a life of constant longing you know what i mean we're always longing for
Starting point is 00:35:10 what's coming next oh god i can't wait until falls over and christmas time is here oh i can't wait till this horrible winter's over and spring comes oh i can't wait till spring's over in the summer heat returns your l2 survive has super wood stove the super wood stove too powerful so beyond the look out the ultimate prepers uh black friday catalog it is sort of our i grew up with the sears catalog many of you grew up with the sears catalog amazon and walmart for all their uh efforts are trying to bring back sort of the kids catalog you know what i mean for christmas time kids don't have the same you know it's just not the same thing the scarcity doesn't exist that's the problem the real problem and the reason the prepper catalog works well um is
Starting point is 00:36:03 scarcity. I bring products on that you might not have ever heard of or things that the host do that they don't have a website to sell or you don't even know they sell them sometimes, right? J. Ferg with the Ferg, the Ferg, right? Like these things are not things you can go even on Amazon and get, right? The problem with the toy catalogs nowadays is the kids have access to everything immediately. So who cares about a catalog with toys in it? You know what I mean? Who cares? Yeah, we need to, Jordan, we need to get on the phone and figure out like a maybe a two or four-page spread for you for this year's.
Starting point is 00:36:46 At least a two-page spread you can do with all your crocheted stuff, the binder, anything else you want to put in there. Because you've reached that point. Congratulations. You definitely have reached that point. But yeah, for the scarcity aspect of it, it just doesn't. You know, you could go to Target, you can go to Walmart, you can go and pick up all the toys. Plus, this is a weird thing to admit about your kids, but it's the truth. A lot of times you pre, and maybe we were too, we probably were too, but a lot of times you're pre-programmed to what you're about to buy, right?
Starting point is 00:37:27 The kids are buying things that are popular on whatever they're watching. like oh i want that because so and so had it and said i should get it or whatever or i saw a review of it you know what i mean it works on you too by the way it works on you too you watching the urban prepper on youtube you're like oh maybe i need one of those right um so yeah the scarcity thing is gone so the catalogs aren't as fun which sucks because they they were great to mull over those catalogs and you see things oh my god i need batman's bat cave i had never even seen seen that in the store no amazon to go buy it on right yeah something to be said about scarcity in this day and age it's a good thing you know scarcity makes things nice fun fun again all right folks
Starting point is 00:38:18 what else catalog coming let me look through the book let me look de book my my old chef chef jean François Leszance. Michelin Star, Michelin One Star Chef, I used to work under, and I'd come in for work in the evenings at college, and he would say, let's go look de book.
