This one's for you pup up, okay? And subsequent shows they're in. I want to talk about Margarita Island today. I don't know how many of you heard about this. Last week, you know, everybody's kind of got their opinions about what's happening with Venezuela, with the, you know, the warships and the fighter jets and the whole nine yards. It's looking pretty warish over there. And there's more to it than the just drug busts. I don't think anybody, you know, because you got to remember, like the Central Americans and the South Americans, the good and the bad, Biden was indifferent to them.

And what's going on with Venezuela? The reason America has such a problem with Venezuela is manyfold, many fold. And I want to talk about that today, okay? So let's get into it. So if you didn't know it, folks, this Margarita Island is basically a safe haven. Oh, I meant to throw the geography up there for you. You're just going to have to watch the end of the world in the background. It's a safe haven for Hezbollah.

It's a place where they're allowed to operate sort of duty-free. They go over there. They get all kinds of things to help them. Traffic drugs, traffic people, go back to the Middle East and rocket Israel into another dimension. Iran is heavily tied to this Margarita Island as well. There's a great article, where can I put this? I guess I can put this in the chat for everybody. There's a great article from a website called the Iran Wire.

and it's iran wire is a lot like china what is it china today i think it is china today is one of those sites where it really just focuses on all the crazy commy stuff that's happening in china and what american should be aware of um but suffice it to say yeah this this is an old article and you know let's bring it up we've got the we've got the power to do so so let's bring it up and we'll read from it a little bit because you should know You know what I mean? A lot of this relationship happened because the Venezuelans took over an Iranian airline.

In a surreal turn of events last month, the plane carrying 23 Iranians described as a tour operators and influencers, as tour operators and influencers touched on a Margarita Island. Known for its crystalline waters, sandy beaches, tax-free status and being a key strategic meeting point for Hezbollah to usher in a new dawn for relations between the two countries, right? I mean, what do you want? You like it? Media reports said the group were due to stay two days and attend business roundtable at the island's Venetor, Venetor Hotel. came five days before direct flights were due to begin between Caracas and Tehrah officially to promote tourism, trade, and cultural exchange. Yeah, that sounds about right. When I think Hezbollah, I think tourism, trade, and cultural exchange. That's what I think.

When I think Iran and when I think Venezuela as well. So, formerly, the property of Iran's sanctioned Mahan Air, transferred to Venezuela's Amtresor, was grounded in Argentina after flying covertly from Buenos Aires to Cordoba, with its transponder turned off. That sounds like tourism, trade, and cultural exchange, right? transponder on board was a mixed Iranian Venezuelan crew, including the IRGC Kudes Force Commander. Your guess is as good as mine. Gallum Gossamy. We'll just call him Ghalem Gossamy. I don't even know if he's alive anymore.

Iran Y reveals that the plane that landed in Margarita, Santigo Marino Airport, an Airbus A3-4600, also previously belonged to Mahanair, then registered. to E.P. MMI. It was later handed to Conviasa, the Venezuelan state airline. Mahan Air is blacklisted by the U.S. office for allegedly supporting the efforts of the Iranian regime to foment regional violence through terrorism and its

weapons program. Now, that's a little that's a little rough. What evidence do we have that the Iranian regime is fomenting regional violence in the world? Sounds off base, if you ask me. Sounds a little off base if you ask you.

ask me yeah so that's what we're dealing with you know what i mean that's the bigger picture over there it's great it's true and it's great and uh you know keeping the drugs out of the country is a serious issue but we're over there for a lot more than fentanyl we're over there because forces and uh axes are being built up in our own backyard basically good morning j fern good morning. going to be flying in and in no way you know what i mean that's the full story i don't know i don't know if you're interested i don't know if you were wondering about it i don't know if you were just sitting there over the weekend watching or last week watching those drug boats blow up and go on hallelujah which is fine by me it's good enough but that's the whole story you know what i mean the whole story is it's a lot bigger than just fentanyl because who knows where else these fleas are hiding you know what i mean all up and down central america i just think it's important you know i mean because the the acts of war and the warlike posture of the united states right now in different places it tires people out and they start to get critical right and

what who doesn't get tired are the enemy you know what i mean the enemy never tires right and you got to remember we oppress them because of their behavior without our military right through sanctions and things like that we don't allow them to play the financial games that we play and all that kind of stuff so they're always pissed they're always trying to figure a way in and then you got to you know that's when the warboats show up i guess off the coast i don't know read the article if you want the full story on margarita island and and what's been happening over there that article's from 22 so that's you know this whole operation is three years in the making. It's not like some kind of new thing. You know what I mean? So, I want to do a little,

Anybody The Kami 5 spice is actually phenomenal And that's what it's made up Was Sejuan Peppercorn Anis Corriander Uh Huh?

What are you talking about J-Fair? I don't even have a beard the commie five spice baked apples okay coriander anis five star anus up there cinnamon um sejuwon peppercorn which is great

and all these guys really lend themselves to it's called Chinese five spice that's what it is you can buy it all ground you know what I mean and uh and looking good ready to rumble my favorite thing actually to do with the Chinese five spices

to put it on all that squash that's coming in, not the yellow, I'm talking about the fall, right? All that fall squash that's coming in. That is, that's the goods, right? The acorn squash, halved, seeded, butter in the center, chunks of butter in the center, Chinese five-spice sprinkled, salt and pepper, boom in the oven, till it's tender, man, like that.

outside of maybe duck confi and if you don't know we need to do a duck confi for sure but outside of duck confi like that's one of the key recipes of the fall you know what I mean and this guy this guy is a little different than like the popular pumpkin spice thing you know what I mean it's similar though it's similar enough because of the cinnamon

and the anus that it's that kind of fall thing but yeah it lends itself just as good to the baked apples the baked apples you that so that uh what do you got third cup of pack brown sugar three tablespoons of butter and teaspoon of five spice powder can also you can also mix like wheat flour in it you can mix oats into it something along those lines and that'll make it more like sturdy you know what i mean so it'll sit there in the center of the apple because what you're doing is you're having it cooring the apples and then you're putting this which is basically a compound butter right compound butters any time you take butter and soften it makes good taste and stuff into it stick it on top

of steak fish whatever you can do it for desserts too and that's what this guy is it's a compound butter um but if you want stability in it so it kind of sits there and has some texture then you can add the oats you can add steel cut oats right that's a cool one or both kinds and the wheat flour the wheat flour is really good in this i mean i've never done it with just the regular old white flour but the wheat flour is good and you know walnuts pecans whatever that kind of stuff you know the recipe calls for a third cup of chopped walnuts for the podcast audience that's listening and two tablespoons of honey and if you've never done like to have baked apple you're just heating these things in

until they're baking them until they're soft, 350. You know what I mean? 350 degree oven. Lay them out on a sheet pan. You could use like a tablespoon measure or like a small ice cream scoop. And you're going to take your butter. You're going to take your spices and your brown sugar. Any of those flowers, oats that you want to add, walnuts,

mix it all up in a bowl and then scoop out into that cord center of the hour. I'll lay them out, boom, bake them. I know it's about that time. I don't know, maybe a little early. But before long, a lot of people are going to be inundated with apples. And this is what the Kami Five Spice Bake Apple is all about. You can also set aside this compound butter and just keep that, right? You can make the big bowl of compound butter, roll it in, like, wax paper, something along those lines.

I used to sell compound butter at a farmer's market And I would take them Do like a cinnamon sugar I used to do a I don't remember anymore I definitely did a cinnamon sugar one And I did another one I don't think it was like a garlic herb or something And you just roll them in wax paper

Right? Because the way you do it is you got to soften the butter Enough that you can beat it around Almost like you're going to make a cake Or something like that Then you add your ingredients Scoop it all out into wax paper rolled up into a big log then store it in the fridge you know what i mean and then any time

you want to do a little you know something different because you know you could get away with nah not with the brown sugar if you if you omitted the sugar you could definitely get away with the five spice butter and the honey on like a duck you know what i mean of like a duck breast or like a roast duck or goose or some kind of gamey bird like that really good that's a good one so yeah we do i mean we will get there j fergan chat says uh make some make some baked apples could we could we bake some apples at prepper camp we could pull that off right i could bring the compound butter ready to go have cord that's pretty easy oh you know what we could do we could do them in the sun oven yeah we could we could bake apples in the sun oven at prepper cam that's a good

call we could pull that off that'd be kind of fun baked that but you can't see but you can't like they're kind of like a morning thing and uh that ain't going to happen you had a dutch oven over over a good fire that could work too that could work let's see what we can do it's going to be a good year i wanted to look at the weather with you i haven't checked the weather um oh you're bringing your cast iron that works bringing a dutch oven we'll figure it out then we'll figure it out i haven't done the any any menu planning for prevar camp yet at all but what i wanted to do because i keep waking up here in richmond and going oh it's cold i keep going oh my god it's cold and it's early september and what i'm thinking about is what do we

need to prepare for in uh at prepper camp which is basically a month away or 20 days away and higher elevation you know it may be a prepper camp we're bundling up is a thing. Saluda. Let's check out what Saluda North Carolina temperatures are looking like. Oh, it's warmer here than it is. I'm warmer there than it is here right now. Funny enough. Tonight, 50 degrees in Saluda. Yeah, I think we're going to, I think we're going to have a hoodie, maybe even a little beanie kind of prepper camp, which seems kind of fun. I like the idea of it we're not quite close enough to get the real to get the real deal but i don't know it looks like low temperatures looks like temperatures are pretty low right now like lower than normal but

only by a few degrees the average 76 high 50 low pretty nice pretty nice what i was thinking is are we going to get to like 45s 40s overnight I know some of people are like, God, I hope so. I love it, like a 40 degree night and a tent. I'm not a huge fan of a 40 degree night and a 10. I got to prepare for that, right? I got to make sure I have everything I need for that because I hate sleeping cold, especially what I got work to do the next morning, right?

Jay Fergan chat says it's a little too cold at the moment, a little too cool at the moment. Yeah. I don't know. From what I'm seeing, you know what I mean? and what I feel here. Because this time of year in Richmond, it can be devastatingly hot. And there's nothing like that lately. I think it's going to be chilly.

I think the coffee guy is going to do real good. I think he'll be just fine. I think the coffee will sell well. And I think it might do you good. Like I said, to pack a hoodie, to pack a beanie maybe, something along those lines. Because I think it'll be chilly at Preper Camp this year, which it's nice. there's something real nice about that you know waking up on the lake cold maybe like even some of that some of that fog coming up off the lake and it's real cold hot coffee you know you stop by

my booth you get the coffee and then you head off to uh your first class right i'm thinking about making cocoa bombs oh hot cocoa could do really well that's a good idea Hot cocoa could do really well. You could get the... Can you get the hot water off of me? Maybe I'll get another, what's it called? And we can do hot water. Why am I out of focus?

What's going on? Hello. I think I have like global focus on right now on my camera. I don't know. I took the camera to my son's game. Born to Brapp in chat, what is up, my man? 42 degrees in Northeastern Ohio last night. Yeah, there's a big difference.

You go to sleep and it's like 50. 55 degrees out and you wake up and it's 42 degrees out, that's a different kind of morning. We may not have to deal with as much of that lake effect moisture that we deal with at PreparCamp, though. That'd be kind of nice. But we'll see. We'll see. In a way, I hope for it. In a way, I hope that many of the people coming are not prepared for it because, man, those are the lessons that stick.

You know what I mean? you spend three nights in a tent shivering being like god we need this this this and this for next time then that that's really it you know i haven't been to the prepper campsite in a while is is anything cool up they they usually put like class schedules up and don't tell you but usually it's like the week before no not quite yet They got the map up? Sometimes they put the map up. No.

Not yet. Give it another week. Give it another week or two, and I'd say we'll have our class schedule out. I'll put it up here so we can plan our day out together, see what the hell's going on, what we're going to go see. I don't know how many of you out there listening are going. I know quite a few, but now is the day. time to plan for the next go round you know what i mean now if you're not going now it's the time to plan for the next go actually now's the time to put away 45 measly dollars i'm pretty sure it's

forty five dollars you put away that 45 dollars now don't touch it hide it so that when black friday comes around you can buy your prepper camp ticket for like half price they start selling on on black friday you get them for half price and then you can sit there and listen to these shows and listen to me talk to everybody about the price is going up the price is going up and you'll be like oh i got my good i don't know makes good sense to me makes mighty good sense to me oh yeah i have a feeling they'll be selling tickets all the way up till the day of but you can't get them if you just show up unless they change that this year i'm not sure but it's going to be sweet man text dad in chat over there at rumble thank you man for watching us over at rumble the only
