Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening here to pay the end. You will pay us of the game today. But we do have breaking news pretty wild breaking news that has led to a subtopic of today's show that will kind of play into what it is we're going to talk about with food storage. But it is nonetheless severe. And let's do it. Israel launches massive strikes on Gaza. Israel's got their motivations. Hamas has their motivations. It seems like the more I understand about this part of the world, the less I understand about this part to it, but it seemingly come out of nowhere You know it seemingly come out of nowhere To some degree right more than 400 Palestinians killed in surprise is real Israeli airstrike across Gaza
Starting point is 00:01:41 You know the Few weeks ago and they put let the hostages out it seemed like Hamas was rolling right back into power They showed up, you know looking like the foot clan from Ninja Turtles Their little foot clan outfits their AK 47s their RPGs and you know, it's just gonna go back to business as usual I don't understand how the Palestinian people or the Gazans could be Happy with that, but you've seen a lot of cheering. I don't understand how the Palestinian people or the Gazans could be happy with that, but you've seen a lot of cheering. I don't understand it really very well.
Starting point is 00:02:13 It doesn't make sense to me, but I was born and raised in the beautiful United States of America. One of the defining factors of living in the doesn't matter how you feel about it, what you think about it, but one of the defining factors about living in the United States of America is that you can fill your house with firearms. And there's a good chance that your neighbor's done the same. And that makes all the difference. It makes all the difference. You know, there's no way you have a group like Hamas take a foothold over an entire nation when
Starting point is 00:02:47 you have an armed public. People like to discredit it this day and age because terrible things happen. Violence and guns go hand in hand. Death and guns go hand in hand. So they like to blame this sort of gun-happy, gun happy gun crazy culture in the United States but in many ways it's like you know you you When things are safe and lovely and wonderful and you can worry about your transgender reassignment surgery because you don't have to worry about Hamas throwing you off a church roof or a mosque roof
Starting point is 00:03:21 You don't appreciate the fact that one of the big reasons it is that way is because, not because we have a big giant and scary military, but because we have firearms hidden under every pillow across the country. So that is what it is. Morning Jay Ferg in the chat, what is up? We are on Rumble, Instagram, and YouTube today. We are really aligning with the dark forces today. Took the day off of Twitter with the live show, but the podcast auto-post to Twitter anyway, so they'll get it. No big deal. Unfortunately, this news,
Starting point is 00:04:11 This news, combined with news that I was listening to out of Mexico, really kind of brought me to a conclusion that's a terrifying one. And it's the conclusion of urban warfare through the 21st century. You look at the things that are happening, you may not quantify this stuff the way that I do. It may not sit in your head the way it sits in my head, which is why I do what I do. So, talking about drug cartels, talking about rooting out drug cartels, talking about the Mexican government, I was listening to a podcast about this on the way. You know, something real nice to drive your kids to school with.
Starting point is 00:04:46 They're not paying attention. Well, maybe they are. But it's reality, you know what I mean? Listening to and it's all stuff that is just being reinforced in my mind, things that I already knew about the corruption. But then the rubber starts to meet the road and you start thinking about how do you deal with it? How do you really take care of it? Right? Donald Trump has his ideas. We know there's gonna be sort of
Starting point is 00:05:17 military-esque action against the drug cartels. It going to happen. And you know, what does that look like? What is that going to look like? Well, unless it's targeted, extremely well targeted with boots on the ground, it's going to look like dead people in urban areas, most likely. And what really smacked me in the face today was this might be the only solution to dealing with the problems, the most devious problems of the 21st century. In other words, and it's kind of the way humanity works, right? It's kind of the human irony of it all.
Starting point is 00:06:05 We get more technologically advanced, but the truth of the matter is it might be, it might even be much more terrible an outcome all over the world. And what do I mean? Because urban warfare is quickly becoming either what's happening or the next step in what's going to happen everywhere. Just think it through, right? Just think it through. Think about Mexico.
Starting point is 00:06:35 How do you root a drug cartel out in Mexico City and various towns and places in Mexico, or if things go extra kinetic, they start responding in the United States, something that we're very worried about. They start responding in the United States, we start responding into Mexico, and maybe even the Mexican military gets involved, you would hope. Not with us, but with the cartel. People die. Urban warfare, ugly. Soldiers, innocents, the whole nine yards, right?
Starting point is 00:07:08 People will die. It will look similar to what's happened in the Middle East, Gaza and Palestine, right? Maybe not to that extent, but it's the same concept. It's the Middle East urban warfare concept. Our military has been training urban warfare since the whole time I've been doing a podcast. The entire time I hopped on to do my first podcast,
Starting point is 00:07:30 I remember reading stories. Remember Jade Helm, Operation Jade Helm, all kinds of different urban warfare training scenarios. The military knows what they're going to be dealing with. Think about Europe. Think about the UK. Now, again, this is rubber meets the road. The UK is being taken over by Muslims. It just is what it is. It's the up and down, the left and right of the issue. If militant factions of radical Islam take root in London and the UK, how do you get that out? This isn't a land war. They're not going to show up with
Starting point is 00:08:12 tanks on your border on an island nation and large swaths of military. No, they're going to be in houses living next to other Brits. It's already that way. These things have already set up It's already set up that way Right, maybe mosques. Maybe maybe France France is in the same boat, right France Belgium, I mean there's tons of places that are in this the same situation all across Europe I mean there's tons of places that are in this the same situation all across Europe
Starting point is 00:08:48 Asylum Seeking peoples have just taken root in these nations in a very big way The idiotic liberal government said come come as many of you as can come just keep coming Please just all of you come and set up. We'll take you in our bleeding hearts. We'll make sure What's gonna come next is leadership like Donald Trump to these Places and it'll either come because it's trending or it'll come because it's necessary Because these European nations hopefully have enough backbone that they're going to say,
Starting point is 00:09:27 we're not going to be taken over. Right? We're not going to be taken over. So when you find yourself in that situation, again, militaries have to go in. Where are they going in? If you have an insurgency in your own nation, do you think that's going to be pretty? And how ugly will it be if the British military has to kick doors in and wind up killing their own people? This scene and setting is everywhere except Ukraine and Russia right now like Ukraine and Russia Really feels like one of the last
Starting point is 00:10:10 Really big land wars where there's a clear line in the sand and good guys on this side bad guys on that side Right to me and look at the United States the same situation just hasn't happened yet To me and look at the United States. It's the same situation just hasn't happened yet The same said we know that there are monsters in this country need we know that people when when Joe Biden decided a Let's just let everybody in we know that China got people in here that want to do terrible things You know Russians are in here that want to do terrible things. They're they're just waiting and sitting and saying Well, let's see how this ceasefire works. Let's see how far the Americans want to go. Let's see how far the Europeans want to go.
Starting point is 00:10:52 These forces are embedded in nations. I really do think that I don't see another way. I don't see another way outside of urban warfare that you root these people out. Because you have to root these people. There's not going to be some kind of stasis or balance between a growing Muslim population in European nations. It's not going to happen. Because radicals are there already already and they're already committing
Starting point is 00:11:26 violence. They do not respect the women. They do not respect the men. They do not respect the governments. How do you think that's going to work? You know what I mean? So unfortunately, watching what's happened this morning in Gaza, thinking about the next steps in Mexico, if we are to see the end of the drug cartels, if someone is going to
Starting point is 00:11:51 step up and do something about the drug cartels, then it's hard not to look forward 10, 20 years and see rashes of urban warfare throughout Europe throughout the United States You know and maybe the police Swat those types of people could take on the sort of rooting will will take out the sort of rooting out of these radical factions Bloody Bloody bloody Bloody and terrifying to really wrap your head around South America, you know,
Starting point is 00:12:32 what does Taiwan look like? Maybe that could be an actual, one of the only other actual real big wars, you know what I mean? Good guys, bad guys type war. But the rest of these things, particularly on the backs of drug kingpins and cartels and radical Islam are, they're going to be urban warfare. They're going to be urban warfare in places you're not used to seeing. On the streets of Europe, right? In the streets of the United States. We have not seen much of anything in the United States, in my opinion, based on, you know, just see what they do in the Middle East. Not
Starting point is 00:13:12 seeing a lot of that. Not a lot of people walking into stores blowing up bomb vests, you know, you don't, it's not like your average target gets a suicide bomber from time to time. Doesn't really happen. I think it might, you know. I do, I think it might. And then the response to that's what's even more terrifying, right. So because of all of this we find ourselves in a situation where, you know, what is one to do? The reality and the reason so many people are turning to prepping and homesteading, the reason so many people want chickens, the reason you go on Instagram or you go on your favorite social media app and you see at least one post a day where somebody's saying, all
Starting point is 00:14:00 I want is 40 acres, a log cabin, some chickens, some goats in gardens, and leave me the hell alone. Is because those people I think see the world for what it is and everybody has a different response to it and their response is get me the hell out of here. Get me the hell out of here before this all goes sideways, you know? You know, I'm in the minority of preppers when I say that's not how society survive, you know what I mean? So I'm not a big fan of that modus operandi. I understand it. I wouldn't hold it against anyone. I wouldn't begrudge anybody for wanting to get away from it. But there has to be a certain amount of people around to sustain things, right?
Starting point is 00:14:51 Or else you might as well just hand the keys over to China and the radical Islamists now. But that's just what it is. One thing and one of the biggest things that has changed the way that I live my life in terms of preparedness is food storage. Food storage for me was probably one of the biggest epiphanies in prepping of all. It... When I really went through with the process, and look, food storage can be handled, you know, many different ways. There are great companies out there, like Ready Hour, which I think is... I think Ready Hour is about the best overall food storage if you're gonna buy it. From a price perspective, from a quality perspective, from a variety perspective, and just so you know I was paid three
Starting point is 00:15:50 years ago to test every kind of food storage that you can buy except like super small producers. But all the main guys, the ready wise, the valley food storage, the emergency essentials, the ready ready hour the four Patriots all of them I tested them all reviewed them all and Based on price based on taste. I Mean to me ready hour was always the best. It was always the standout wasn't the best tasting Right. I think ready wise was the best tasting But that's their they're expensive. So to me, overall, the
Starting point is 00:16:27 best is Ready Hour because it's the balance of all characteristics you're looking for. Just my take, you know what I mean? You might think it completely differently, but that's my take. I'd say if you're looking to do something similar, then Ready Hour is a good place to start. It's a good place to start and say, I like this, but X, Y, and Z. I like this, but A, B, and C. Nothing changed my life more. I had bought food storage before I packed my own DIY food storage. Now's a good time to talk about PackFreshUSA.
Starting point is 00:17:06 OK, go to PackFreshUSA.com. Check them out because they provide me all the things I need to pack my own DIY food storage. Right outside of the buckets. I buy the buckets from Lowe's because they cheap. That's why. And I've been doing it for years no rodents have eaten into the buckets no water has seeped into the buckets you know I know
Starting point is 00:17:29 the people out there are very particular about their buckets and their gamma lids and all that kind of stuff whatever I could tell you right now the $5 or $6 $8 whatever it is buckets at Lowe lows will serve you perfectly. But the first time I packed up a 50 pound bag of white rice and 225 pound bags of black beans and pinto beans, I remember laying in bed that evening and just feeling really good. Is the camera focusing on the microphone and not my face? I don't know I remember laying in bed and feeling really good about
Starting point is 00:18:10 Food like really good about the idea that we will eat You know what? I mean in most situations we will eat With water and the ability to cook, we will eat. And water's never been an issue for us. But I had guns, I had scary black rifles, you know what I mean? All that kind of stuff. But for me, the real difference maker was food storage. It really was knowing not only do I have food stored,
Starting point is 00:18:44 but now I can go out and buy exactly what I want to store. I want to store flour, I can store flour. I can go buy it. I can put it in mylar bags. I can put oxygen absorbers in there appropriate to the size, right? And seal that up with a heat sealer and put it in a bag. I mean put it in a bucket rather. And now this is an insurance. This is an inflation insurance. It always helps. I never regret it. My kids, they harp on me a little bit now. It's fun. It actually is kind of fun and funny. But you know, when there's sort of of we're a cynical family, we are a
Starting point is 00:19:26 sarcastic family, you know what I mean? We're funny. And so we pick on each other all the time. And when they're picking on me or picking on their upbringing and they're like yeah it's real easy to explain why there are blue buckets in everybody's closet, you know what I mean? Garden Girl in chat says, I was able to get 20 pounds of whole wheat flour at Costco yesterday for 15 bucks. It's awesome. That's awesome. I'll tell you what though. When I was working in the pretzel factory, I used to run a pretzel bakery up in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania. No, that's not right.
Starting point is 00:20:09 Is that right? Chad's Ford, Pennsylvania. And man, the flour was so cheap back in those days. Back in the 07s, you could get a 50 pound bag of flour for like $10, $ 7 bucks sometimes because it used to Fluctuate then it went up to 20 and it was like oh god this business model suffering just you know, just a thought But yeah, you can you can pack up flour you can you know, one of the things that I started packing up And you have to cycle through this stuff. Okay, you have to cycle through it
Starting point is 00:20:45 but one of the things I started packing up is Bisquick and I have read that Bisquick bags will blow up Puff up and pop right And it's never happened to me maybe In the early days you get into this idea of just putting the core basics together, beans, rice, flowers, sugars, salts, macaroni, those kinds of things. Mylar bags, buckets, bucket up food, right? As you start to progress in your food storage, you might think more strange basics could be effective, right? And you might also think more particular and more convenient type of food storage.
Starting point is 00:21:32 Something like a Bisquick is great. Something like a yellow cake mix is great. That's one of those things. Like a yellow cake mix, man, is probably going to sit around a long time with oxygen absorbers in mylar bags. A long time before you have any issues with it. You start to put these things away for the convenience of it and it makes sense. It makes sense. Before long, you're going to have months of calories if you start doing this before long
Starting point is 00:22:05 You're gonna have months worth of calories. You might wind up with years worth of calories It's a lot. You need a lot of space to do years worth of calories, right? It's like a million calories a person per year I think that's off the top of my head. I think that's it, right a Million point one or point two or something like that I'm pretty sure is the amount of calories a person, one person, will need for a year. One of the things that we have at pbnfamily.com that is really simple, I created it myself, it's really simple.
Starting point is 00:22:39 It looks like, it's not an impressive looking document. But if you get into food storage, it makes your understanding of how much food you have way easier. I basically went through all the buckets of five-gallon-sized foods, or five gallons worth of a food, and broke it down into calories. So in other words, if I've got a five gallon bucket of white rice, what do I really got, calorically speaking? If I've got a five gallon bucket of macaroni, what do I got?
Starting point is 00:23:18 You know, and I'm telling you right now, I look at it over real quick and I'll tell you all the things that are on there. Because it's a big deal. When I tell you that becoming a member here at PBN, the initial email that I send you when you sign up is worth the cost of entry, 60 bucks for the year. I'm not kidding. I'm not saying it to sell you on it. I'm telling you because it's literal.
Starting point is 00:23:47 If you use the Preparedness Master Schedule, if you use the Ultimate Preppers Group Calorie Homestead spreadsheet, which is right there when you go to pbnfamily.com, it calculates how many animals you need, how much feed, how much food, how much meat meat all that kind of stuff. It does it automatically It's an awesome little little spreadsheet And then of course you have the food storage calories per five gallon bucket And like I said, it's just a list. It's nothing incredible But it is incredible. It doesn't look incredible, but it is incredible. I guess I could make it I don't know. I'm not gonna make it look better. Why would I make it look better. It doesn't look incredible, but it is incredible. I guess I could make it. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:24:25 I'm not going to make it look better. Why would I make it look better? It's phenomenal. It does exactly what you need it to do. It's amazing. I'm very proud of it. And there's no need for me to put stickers on it or something like that for you.
Starting point is 00:24:45 So I've got long grain rice, five gallon bucket. All of these are calculated for how many calories are in a five gallon buckets worth, all right? So five gallon buckets worth of long grain white rice, black beans, pinto beans, flour, sugar, olive oil. I don't know why I put salt, but it says NA next to salt. Clarified butter, shortening. Like you want to pack the calories in, man.
Starting point is 00:25:11 The five gallon buckets of fat are a big deal. I do kind of like the shortening. I know it's not great for you, but it'll last forever. It'll last forever. Um, spaghetti, oats, cornmeal, potato flakes. Potato flakes, cornmeal, that's a good one. And very quickly, when you look this thing over, like when I tell you, you need a million calories plus for a year's worth of food storage for a person in your family. One person in your family, right?
Starting point is 00:25:48 When I tell you that, that's like, oof. Oh, here you go. Three for four. See, apparently, when you do what I do as long as I've done it, you forget all the cool things that you come up with. And at the top of the document, it says, remember the food storage rule of three Three for four three million calories feeds a family of four for one year. There you go So I was a little off Firewolf I saw you message me over there on meta What are you playing over there, man? We're gonna get into the old VR world with the... If you're blacksmithing in virtual reality, I'm gonna be very upset with you
Starting point is 00:26:31 at any way. So yeah, the rule... 3 for 4. 3 million calories feeds a family of 4 for one year. That sounds crazy, right? That sounds like one of those things. It's like three million calories, dude. Where? How? What do you mean? Like you pick up a box of food and it's like 340 calories. What am I? If you look at these five gallon bucket breakdowns, you'll start to see, oh, tens of thousands of calories in a five gallon bucket of food. Now all of a sudden, hmm, okay, I see how we can get to a hundred, I see how we can get to half a million, I see how we can get to a million. And this is sort of the best way that I came up with having the ability to do that and then also being able to count that quickly. You know, because you could even round. Like I'll give
Starting point is 00:27:22 you one. A long grain white, a five gallon bucket of long grain white rice is Right around 30,000 calories. I mean, it's so negligible that you could you could call it 30,000 calories So now if you have buckets of white rice, it's really easy for you to say to yourself I just count by threes and I know how much how many calories I have in white rice. Simple, right? Pretty simple. So yeah, that sheet's up there at pbnfamily.com. If you're already a member, just go download it. Use it as you see fit. You can very easily inventory your calories that way. You know it's in your buckets, I hope. You've marked marked your buckets I hope. That's one thing I did leave out. You put the Mylar in, sealed, boom, all that kind of stuff and then you you got to put a you know
Starting point is 00:28:14 some kind of marker on the bucket itself. Don't write directly on the bucket because you're gonna reuse that bucket right. So if you write real big rice on the side of the bucket and then you know in In a couple years you have sugar in it. It's gonna mess you up But go to PBN family comm if you're a member and Check out that sheet. I'm telling you just print it out Just print it out put it somewhere easy to get to or save it on your phone or something like that And if you're not a member What are you waiting for?
Starting point is 00:28:45 Right. Sign up. Sign. Like I said, the intro email that we send the bug out, uh, link the, um, the link to the spreadsheets, the, the. All the members, I mean, the, the links within that first email are well worth the sign up. L to survive is with us. What is up? Let me throw you in the sign up. L2Survive is with us. What is up? Let me
Starting point is 00:29:06 throw you in the chat here. How many calories do you allocate for what job? Oh that's a really cool one. Well first, I mean that's a good that's a really good question and I think I don't have an answer for that. But what I because it's just per person in my mind, you know what I mean? But and it's per person and every person's an adult, right? We just we just said the the rule of three for four three million calories for four people for a year. The rule of three for four. Wrap your head around that.
Starting point is 00:29:42 I guess there was a time when I used to say that all the time because it was most important enough that I thought it would become a rule, like the 6-8-8-6 rule. But I forgot. You forget things. You know, when you're doing this day in and day out, you forget things. What I would say is important, though, maybe more important than how many calories do you allocate for what job, sex, or age? I would say that, sorry, Garden Girl's comment just threw me off a little bit. I had to read it while talking. What you will have to have is a breakdown of jobs, a breakdown of responsibilities. And even if you and your family already have a sort of responsibility breakdown, like you know what you're responsible for, they're responsible for, so on and so forth,
Starting point is 00:30:31 you have it written down or you have it assigned somehow. I encourage everybody to do this. This is my fundamental answer to the question of what happens when people come to my house during SHTF, during, you, during the real big problem. Whatever that is. Tio Tewaki. The whole thing has gone a mess. A lot of people have questions about this. A lot of people have platitudes on this. Nobody's coming in my house. I'll shoot them. Yeah, doubt it. You know what I mean? Really doubt it. Have a problem with that. Have a big problem with that.
Starting point is 00:31:07 You know, I don't think anybody's gonna do or very few people are gonna do that. You know? But what I will tell you is this. If you want us, if you want there to be as little friction as possible, have your sheet. Maybe I need to show you guys my sheet. Have your, we'll do it for members. That's fair. It took work to put together. Have your sheet, right? Spreadsheet, simple, printed out, list of tasks. Just simple spreadsheet, tasks, duties, chores, whatever. Whatever has to be done in your world. sit down and think about what SHTF would look like security, gardening, the hunting, foraging, cooking, cleaning, digging, whatever, right? Think it all through and then say to yourself, all right, I'm going to
Starting point is 00:31:55 lay it all out on a spreadsheet. There's going to be a place for a name, maybe times and days, something along those lines. And, uh, this is what you hand to people when they want to come join. They come, they show up, right? We didn't prepare properly. What are we gonna do? Can we have some help? Can we have some food? Can we stay with you? The answer can almost always be yes. The answer can almost always be yes, as long as you have the sheet and you can go here. I need somebody to go into the back there with the machete and clear out all that poison ivy
Starting point is 00:32:35 and deal with whatever else is out there. And once that's all clear, then we can talk about whatever. Then you can stay if they're family people you trust or you do that day's work and I'll pay you in food because we want to put a greenhouse over there. To me it is very much the cleanest way. There's really no need to argue, right? If it's an argument, oh, I don't want to do that, okay, well, mosey on down the road and see if somebody else
Starting point is 00:33:10 has something free to give you. If it becomes an angry situation, that's bullshit, we're starving out here, okay, here are your options. Here are your options. Way better than just saying, no, get the hell out of here or we're gonna kill you, right?
Starting point is 00:33:27 And that's it So you as long as you have it's just like neighborhood security build out your neighborhood security now Just build it out. Have a sheet and I've shown this before but have a sheet You know, where's your desired security perimeter going to be? Where are you going to take people who are injured? Where are you going to, you know, all those kinds of things, the layout of the community, where security is going to be, and then just have it. If you ever are in a situation where you're gathered together out front of homes, people
Starting point is 00:34:01 are freaking out, there's guns going off in the distance and shit has gone haywire Then you could say well look I wrote this up Everybody take a sheet and I think we should talk about security of our own neighborhood You know now if you're at zero you're starting to get to a point where in other words if you're the average like Suburbanite mother who's watched the Walking Dead or something like that and you're like I don't know what we're gonna do. We're gonna get overrun now. You can at least look at that sheet and go This kind of makes sense. Okay, we have security perimeter here
Starting point is 00:34:34 We've got roads coming in that need to be defended or blocked or barricaded whatever it all starts to make sense there's something they can hold on to and then when you have guys in the neighborhood who are like gonna interject and You know try to become the leader real quick. It's fine Maybe they have what maybe they have what it takes to be the leader Maybe you don't want to be the leader at least you have your two cents in paper form All right, let's talk about mine and let's add to it. Let's take away If you sit there like this
Starting point is 00:35:04 Things are gonna get bad. You know what I mean? You guys watching me have too much information, too smart. You're too well versed in this stuff to remain quiet in a situation like that. L2 Survive, what's he talking about? I plan for our neighborhood to get breakfast at my house. That way we get at least one meal per day. We build community and I get information.
Starting point is 00:35:25 L2Survive is he's right on the money. Watch his YouTube channel. Go subscribe. I'm telling you right now he's right on the money with this one. Mine is similar. My plan is similar. My plan is built around coffee. I'll let the neighborhood sustain or bring because we'll have a barter or trade situation for coffee and then we'll have a daily meeting Okay, it's it seems to make a lot of sense, right people gonna wake up. They're gonna eventually run out of coffee and We go to disaster coffee calm look at the bunker beans We're talking about food storage. You can store bunker beans the same way that you store everything else. Bunker beans at disastercoffee.com they're green unroasted coffee beans you can roast them yourself you grind them every day you got coffee and all of a sudden you're the coffee kingpin people come to you for
Starting point is 00:36:18 their caffeine high and and then you have their ear for a minute. We'll be serving coffee between 9 and 9 15 8 and 8 30 whatever you want to do, right? I have a DIY off-grid coffee video that shows like Exactly how I run a coffee station at Prepper Camp Produce coffee for three days straight. No inputs You know, it's how we do it straight, no inputs. You know, it's how we do it. Think about these things, you know. All of these, like L2 Survives Plan, My Plan with Coffee, none of that stuff happens unless you have stockpiles of food or, you know, ingredients. And that's what food storage is all about. In the beginning, food storage is about, I don't want to starve to death,
Starting point is 00:37:03 I don't want to look at my kids and say we don't have any about, I don't want to starve to death. I don't want to look at my kids and say, we don't have any food. I don't want to go beg or kill someone for something, right? That's how food storage starts in the minds of most people. And trust me, there's a lot of people who have that in their mind. I talked to guys, regular dudes working regular jobs in 2020. And we would stand out on that porch right out on my front porch. And I'd be like, man, it's getting crazy out there I would they don't know what I do you know what I mean they don't know what I do I tell them I'm a
Starting point is 00:37:30 writer when they come in because it's you know partially true oh well you know what's your plan I mean if they you know know the food in a grocery store and that kind of I had several guys that year working- class dudes, good dudes came in, did a great job for me with home maintenance stuff. Several dudes just say, well, I just have to go take it from other people if we need it. So in a lot of minds, that's step number one. That's not a good plan. That's a direct route to leaving a widow. You know what I mean? So Firewolf Forge says, which meal, if you get only one, is the best do you all think? I'd say by far it's breakfast.
Starting point is 00:38:17 Or by far it's the egg and meat based high protein meal. You know what I mean? Like the high protein high fat meal Is going to be the best one in my opinion um because There I mean i'm just speaking from experience like if I i'm gonna have a huge. Oh no This discussion went so well, we're gonna have to save the shtf chef for tomorrow Oh, well, see we're having fun. Who cares? um the SHTF chef for tomorrow. Oh, well, we're having fun. Who cares? Um, I'm speaking from experience.
Starting point is 00:38:47 There are days when I eat, uh, you know, like four eggs, scrapple, buttery toast in a glass of milk. And I'd be fine not to eat anymore for the rest of the day. I mean, completely fine. Like I feel the pangs of boredom hunger. I feel the pangs of like, you know, it's getting around dinnertime and habitual hunger. You know, like the family's here and this is going on and you're cooking dinner so you might as well eat. But I know from fasting and I know from what I've taken in that day, I'd be
Starting point is 00:39:22 underserved. I wouldn't have all the calories I need, but I know for a fact that I'd be feeling good. You know, I've just done it so many times. I've had those big breakfast meals. Like I said, four eggs, some kind of meat, some kind of fatty meat. I like Scrapple the best because it's Scrapple is hearts and livers and cornmeal and delicious and and You know, it's kind of like a meat carbohydrate combination and then you have your you know, your buttery toast a little milk boom L2 survives two cents on that one
Starting point is 00:40:10 L2 survives two cents on that one. Potatoes and vegetables in the ground and chicken egg from the coop. Breakfast for everyone is pretty easy. Oh, I like that. I like that. That's a good way to do it. Yeah. Potatoes and vegetables in the ground. Probably potatoes from the root cellar though, to be honest, right? because potatoes in the ground aren't really gonna help too much but yeah You get them and you know put them out in the Sun whatever it is cure them into the root cellar and Yeah, don't forget a multivitam shgf food is usually missing vital minerals. Yeah multivitamins good you do the the milk, like I said, with the vitamin D and the added nutrients. You do the omega-3 fatty acids. I do that
Starting point is 00:40:52 every day. I was listening to Rhonda Patrick the other day, who is my nutritionist. Everyone should listen to Rhonda. Rhonda is the real deal. I mean, she really is. If you're into nutrition, if you're into real nutrition and fitness and how they work together, she's the best. She's been the best. She's still the best. She was talking to Chris Williamson on the Modern Wisdom podcast about nitrites and nitrates and bacon and that kind of stuff. nitrates and bacon and that kind of stuff. And it turns out people eating breakfast and drinking vitamin C orange juice have been on to something for a very long time. High levels of vitamin C with foods that contain nitrates, like a lot of breakfast foods and nitrites,
Starting point is 00:41:44 high vitamin C prevents the process that turns those nitrates into carcinogens which is what creates cancer which is why people are most nervous about eating those foods. So, I don't know, that was cool. That was something I never knew about. It really opened my eyes. It really made me happy because I'll eat 2,000 milligrams of vitamin C if I get to eat bacon too on top of it guilt-free Food storage folks food storage, okay. I Like I said a lot of things come from food storage a lot of things. Yeah, what's up Lord Fairfax prep? I'm sorry guys over at Instagram. I have not really been watching the the Instagram chat too much this morning. We got a lot of people chatting over and rumble and
Starting point is 00:42:31 YouTube and it's just Yeah, my bad We're gonna go out today with Today's sponsor Lima tango survival. Let me make sure that my microphone is not muted This is Lima tango survivalcom folks. I'm telling you the the benefit of having one of these bags really changes things in terms of like Problems the word that always comes to mind for me is problems because you wind up in a situation where problems because you wind up in a situation where maybe an extra bag is exactly what you need and you think that what you're going to do is build that bag out perfectly.
Starting point is 00:43:12 You're going to create that bag. It's just a few months away. It's another bag. It's another thing on the to-do list. I have found playing around with the Solo Kit from Lima Tango Surv survival that it's plenty. It's plenty. It's a $150 solution that is plenty. Is it the first bag I'm going to grab?
Starting point is 00:43:38 No, because I've made my own, especially to those of you out there who have no bags, who are new to this prepping thing and who are like, I need to get my bug out bag created, my get home bag created my get home bag my inch bag my whatever bag right I need to get an emergency bag created that's going to be effective I've gone through this thing I've gone through it I've rifled through it if you remember you can go to family gear our review series and watch the full review of the bag like it's plenty bag. Like, it's plenty. It is plenty for one person. And it solves that problem. It's a bag you will have to get into it and open everything up and see how everything works and that kind of stuff. But once you do that, it's a problem solver. Everything they do over there is a problem solver. Because what the difference is with Lima Tango is a lot of people put out pre-made bags that they create from Tmoo, they create from
Starting point is 00:44:31 Alibaba, they put a bunch of crap in there that is crap and that's what it is and and there's no desire beyond that. There's no desire beyond saying well you got a knife and you got a lighter and you got a shelter. There's no desire for that aside from profit. Bill from Lima Tango is an amazing dude and he's a guy who for all that I can tell is really intent on creating bags that he can sell at a reasonable price that are the ultimate. Right? Because there's always a balance when you're creating backpacks for survivalists and preppers and people who want to prepare for emergencies. The cost can go up and up and up. Right? Like I can create a bag for you in about an hour that'll cost $5,000 and it'll be the coolest thing you've ever seen, but nobody's going gonna be able to afford it, right? You'll be completely prepared for most everything, you know? My $10,000 model will be even better. But what good is that?
Starting point is 00:45:35 $150 backpack like the Solo, which is sitting right here next to me, is way more valuable, way more effective because you're actually going to buy it. You know, so LimaTangoSurvival.com. Check them out. Guys, thanks for everything. I really do appreciate you. It was a fun show.

I mean, it was literally like two, three years ago, Biden running amok over the country, people worried about the cost of everything was going up. Remember gas went up like crazy. I was saying, if people don't have 60 bucks for the year, if that's too big an investment,
Starting point is 00:47:33 there's nobody in modern America, hardly, that has a job. Well, even if you don't have a job, I guess, nowadays, they can't shell out five bucks a month. You're already doing it. You're already shelling out five bucks a month. You're already doing it. You're already shelling out five bucks a month. You're buying a Dunkin' Donuts drink $5. You're buying a Starbucks drink $5, $7, whatever, right? Once a month, five bucks.
