Starting point is 00:00:00 Good afternoon, PBN family. The Iranian president has gone down in a helicopter crash today. It's being mentioned that foggy conditions had to do with the situation. There are 40 search and rescue teams deployed to find the current president, Ibrahim Raisi, of Iran who has gone missing after the crash. That's all. Nobody's assuming him dead or anything like that that I've read about. I don't know. Oddly a little bit of an interesting feeling in terms of World War I.
Starting point is 00:01:01 When these big heads of state and other important people in the hierarchies of nations have crisis befall them, you wonder whether or not it was by design. And you wonder whether or not it might be what leads to the next phase of whatever it is we're in. phase of whatever it is we're in. I titled this podcast Talk Them Off the Ledge because we are dealing with a lot. We are dealing with a lot. And there's a ton of things out there. I mean, if we wanted to here at PBN, we could have headlines, terrifying headlines, four times a day. And we'd clickbait people like crazy, I'm sure, and drive you absolutely out of your mind. You know? And pretend like we're informing you.
Starting point is 00:02:05 And maybe to some degree that is is informing. But the reality is. There's a limit to what we can affect. Particularly if we've limited. What we. Will do to affect the world. On top of it. Right. I mean.
Starting point is 00:02:22 It's one. I would caution anyone. Who's losing losing sleep over the condition of the world to spend copious amounts of time sifting through the news for another reason, to get nervous. But I was contacted by someone very close to me. Feeling it. You know, feeling it. Feeling it. Feeling the... I don't know. Some days you just feel it.
Starting point is 00:02:53 You feel it in the air. You feel like it's close. Like there's a heaviness up in the sky that's weighing down. Sagging into our life. You know, like something's about to ru a prepper is that you never quite know when your last day of prepping is. Could be today, right? Could be next Fridayiday could be never never could be never you could prep the rest of your days disappear off this planet into the off of this plane into the next and uh that'd be the story you know You know?
Starting point is 00:03:52 I was listening to some updates about ChatGPT and AI and things of that nature. You know, it's become abundantly clear to me, while we're hoping AI can be used to save this and save that or do this and do that, this is going to be a tool largely for subjugation. Distraction, convenience, and subjugation and the dulling of the human being on a whole. You know what I mean? In the same way that an iPhone debilitates your memory because all you have to do is search Google for the answer rather than sit there and figure it out or go find a book or use your memory. You know, who was that guy in that movie? Let me Google it. This is about to happen like a tidal wave. The wars, the pandemics
Starting point is 00:04:46 The tyrannical rule of governments The collapse of society The crushing and destruction of the US dollar Which will undoubtedly affect generations to come All of these things All of these things Depend on the people's ability to realize and recalibrate. The success of all these terrible things depend on the people's ability to realize what's happening and recalibrate based on the conditions and the situations. and recalibrate based on the conditions and the situations.
Starting point is 00:05:30 The entirety of the prepping movement is based on people who have realized the situation or situations and have recalibrated and reestablished their way of life because of it. And it's like I always tell you, you're part of one of the most important groups in history. Believe me or not, it doesn't matter. In 2018, I used to think that it would be something we'd have to expose. But now it's become abundantly clear that that's what this group of people is. We are the recalibrated. We are the recalibrators, right? When people have their aha moments, they come to the preppers to figure out what kind of life they want to live. What do they want to
Starting point is 00:06:11 be? What do they want to do? And each and every one of you out there is a living, breathing example of a way out of whatever system people feel they're stuck in. Of whatever system people feel they're stuck in. They're a way out of what seems like a doomed future. Right? One of my favorite examples of this is Lisa T. Of SoCal Prepper fame and now the host of Through the Veil. The SoCal Prepper was living in a 128 square foot room In Orange County Doomsday was upon her
Starting point is 00:06:48 Right? And she hightailed it all the way across the country To Tennessee To create a new life She recalibrated She looked at the situation and said This is not sustainable It's just sustainable.
Starting point is 00:07:05 It's just not going to work. We all have that in us. It's all part of us. It doesn't mean that hard times won't come. It just means that in hard times, and this is why I always talk about adaptability. In hard times there are those that adapt and there are those that don't. We are part of the adapting class. That's what we do.
Starting point is 00:07:32 We see things from afar. We voice our concerns. We shake them around in this group that we have come to know as the PBN family. And each and every one of us finds out our next best course of action. I want to read something to you
Starting point is 00:07:54 that I think is important for you to understand as we look to escape the future and the trials of the future. It's 2 Timothy 3.12 from the Bible and it says, in fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. We see hardships on the horizon. There are hardships on the horizon
Starting point is 00:08:24 that will eventually wash ashore here in the United States. And depending on where you are in these United States, you're already dealing with the hardships. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
Starting point is 00:08:45 Romans 8.35 What's your answer? What's your answer in that? Matthew 5.11 says, Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and fals you don't stand with Jesus as strongly as others. But the reality is if you stand with truth and if you stand with life, then you stand with Jesus. And he doesn't matter where you fall on the spectrum. Romans 12, 14 goes as far as to say,
Starting point is 00:09:42 Bless those who persecute you. Bless and do not curse. That's deep Christianity right there. That's a very rare concept you really only find in Christianity. I'm telling you these things because I want you to understand it. I'm telling you these things because I want you to understand it. Just like I always tell you that the war of liberty is perennial. The battle of liberty for liberty is perennial. So too is hardship.
Starting point is 00:10:22 The history of human, period, right? The history of mankind is hardship. All of us are blessed in an amazing way in that we grew up in a time, for the most part, that was peaceful and for the most part that was prosperous. I don't know that we will usher in a time where prosperity is no longer. But I do think a time where prosperity will be very different. Where simplicity will return. I do think that's what's coming. And I look at humanity in this life, right here and now, in 2024, and I wonder if we are even headed in the right direction in the type of prosperity that we are having today.
Starting point is 00:11:19 In other words, are we to have our front of an iPhone and make dancing videos of ourselves to become to some degree rich and famous for a short period of time? Are we to live this hyper-convenient and comfortable lifestyle? And is it the way to be human? Is it the best way to do this thing, this life in general? Because based on depression and suicide and the relationship between men and women right now, it looks to me that we've overshot the pinnacle of humanity. We went a little too far. The pinnacle of humanity.
Starting point is 00:12:03 We went a little too far. And I don't know what the next 20 years looks like. But I know for a fact. I have ideas. But I know for a fact that the simplification of life. The return to hard work. And effort passion and meaning is inevitable. Whether it comes through a post-apocalyptic starving settlement of, you know, sparse survivors or a slow change in the United States and the world,
Starting point is 00:12:44 a slow change in the United States and the world, we are going to get away from this hyper-convenient and comfortable lifestyle. Because the burdens of hardship, the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, as Shakespeare said. Is you know. It's more of a life worth living. We need to have a challenge.
Starting point is 00:13:16 We don't want a time. Laid before us. Where everything is fine. And everyone will be happy. And everything will be easy. And there will be no troubles. This is a Christmas carol, you know what I mean? This is to happen in December only and then back to the struggle of what it is to survive. So the future is undoubtedly ominous, right?
Starting point is 00:13:41 Right? 2 Corinthians 12.10 says That is why for Christ's sake I delight in weakness In insults, in hardships In persecution, in difficulties For when I am weak Then I am strong Now I don't understand that all the way
Starting point is 00:14:02 But I can tell you that I sure do delight in difficulties and hardships. And a bit of persecution. Now, I'm going to leave you with this, PBN family, because this is our enemy. This is our enemy. This is who we stand against. And in order to understand the landscape of the future, in order to talk someone off the ledge, we have to look at this swirling storm of what-ifs, this swirling storm of could-bes. And we have to say to ourselves, what are we really facing here? What are we really facing here?
Starting point is 00:14:47 Now to those of you that this will ring true to. You should feel good about yourself. You should feel good about your root. It's Matthew 13 21. And it describes our enemy. It says but since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word,
Starting point is 00:15:16 they quickly fall away. But since they have no root, these people who have no faith in God, they don't believe in God, they don't believe there is a God, they believe they are God, they believe they're making God. It says they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. Oftentimes when we get overwhelmed and excited about the prospects of suffering in the future, the struggle that could be, it's because we're losing faith in Jesus Christ and the things that he has power over. And it's because we're losing faith in ourselves and our loved ones and our process. Many, many, many, many years we've been on this earth adapting and adjusting and recalibrating.
Starting point is 00:16:41 And I can tell you right now, if you're listening to my voice, then you've never been in a better position to weather the storm of the future. You've never been surrounded by more people who understand exactly what you're talking about, doing the same things that you're doing, having the same struggles that you're having, fixing the same problems
Starting point is 00:16:55 that you're having. So I say it all the time to new listeners, but I want to say it to all listeners. If you found the Prepper Broadcasting Network, it's for a reason.
