Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to PBN. Your path back to stability. Happy Tuesday, PBN family. What is going on? Glad you can join me here. PBN Daily News, your path back to stability. Make sure you share this thing with 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 people. The world is prepping, whether you realize it or not. On the show last night, I mentioned that 40% of people in several different states admitted to buying preps for the apocalypse. It's real, man. I mean, it's real. It's happening, okay?
Starting point is 00:01:02 They're starved for knowledge like this. They're starved for something like the Prepper Broadcasting Network. Spread the word. And if you're new, subscribe. Leave us a nice little review over at iTunes. Even though iTunes seems we have 70 or we're nearing 100 reviews over there. Most of them are good. But for some reason, they only post up the ones that suck.
Starting point is 00:01:25 Change that for me. It's cold out. It's cold out and it's got me thinking about you. The disaster coffee is warm, but the wind is howling out the window. The leaves are being kicked up. The holly trees are bending. It happens in fits and spurs, but it's happening. And I'm looking around at the world and thinking to myself,
Starting point is 00:01:51 what happens if the power goes out? What happens if the power goes out? I've tested several stand-up electric heaters on my.0 energy Titan. Let me throw them a bone real quick. The Titan, the original Titan right now over.0 energy is 50% off for the module, not the batteries. You need a battery and a module. But the module itself is $895.
Starting point is 00:02:21 This is a powerhouse solar generator. Check it out. 50% off right now. So it's an insane deal. The one that I have, I tested out with several stand-up heaters, and I came to realize that should you want electric heat, like electric backup heat solutions, you better have a gas generator. The solar power generator, you could use it. Don't get me wrong. And if it's a short-term blackout and it's very cold,
Starting point is 00:02:48 it's going to make a world of difference for you and yours, particularly if you don't have other heating methods. But it's a lot. I mean, it definitely... Oh, that's what I'm feeling. I just realized I got a window cracked. I thought I had cold air coming in. The cold air had inspired me such
Starting point is 00:03:11 because I opened this window the other day and the top portion of the window's down a little bit. And even with the storm window, I mean, it's, you know, it's a howling. You need gas power, though, if you're going to power the home through electric generation. I always talk about, unless, of course, you've got tremendous solar panels. You've got a ton of solar panels and a lot of sun.
Starting point is 00:03:35 It's a sunny day. It's not snowing or whatever. Solar's cool, man. I've been playing with it now for a while, but it's like everything else that depends on the sun. You know what I mean? The sun's not always out. And when things suck, a lot of times the sun ain't out. So I mean, just keep that in mind. It's not to say it's not viable. One thing about it, it's awesome. It's definitely a cool thing to to do it's definitely capable of saving you money when i click this thing on in a power outage particularly in the summertime or in the spring
Starting point is 00:04:11 or fall even uh it can do almost everything i need to do even even refrigerator power you know as the as appliances get better and better energy efficient, these solar generators are highly effective. But when it gets cold here in Casa Liberty and we don't have power or something like that, some kind of an emergency like that, like if that were to happen today or into the evening. It's kerosene heater time. It's fireplace, roaring fireplace time. The other thing, too, guys, that people discount is blankets, Sherpa-lined blankets, real good blankets. And real good blankets don't necessarily mean expensive.
Starting point is 00:05:03 Real good blankets don't necessarily mean expensive. I'm telling you right now, the fake fur blankets and the Sherpa line blankets make all the difference. See, I buy, one of the things I really like to do, and I'd recommend that you do it too because it's a twofer, is I buy seasonal Sherpa blankets in seasons that I really enjoy. You know, so like when the fall kicks in and we're getting close to Halloween, I like to buy everybody in the house a, like a Halloween Sherpa line, fresh, new blanket. You know, with some kind of stupid Halloween design on it.
Starting point is 00:05:45 I give one to the wife and I give them to the boys. I don't know. It's just one of those things. You know what I mean? It's like having a blankie. It's nice. I do the same thing at Christmas time, you know? And if you do these things regularly, you know what happens? You wind up with a bunch of Sherpa line blankets. And then when it gets cold, it's like, oh, two of them blankets. Three of them blankets. You know? But we've also bought, one time we took a trip, and the wife and I, we bought a faux fur, almost like a mink, like a fake mink fur blanket a big one like a king-sized giant right because we were going to a place where there was heat but it was cold and you know whatever
Starting point is 00:06:32 and we brought this big thing to cuddle up under and it you know we still have it of course on the couch right now actually and this thing just you know, some blankets are more equal than others, and this thing just holds your heat like crazy, no matter how cold it is out. So don't discount that stuff, man. Don't discount good hats like the Ferg. Don't discount good wool hats and gloves and good socks. You know what I mean? A lot of times these types of things are really what wind up keeping you warm anyway,
Starting point is 00:07:12 as opposed to, like, some crazy technological advancement that blows heat, right? Those are my thoughts on the cold weather, preparedness, heat, heating the home. You know, be careful if you use kerosene, propane, heat in the home. It can be dangerous. you got to make sure you crack a window sort of like the one that's cracked here running my power bill up one threat one solution let's do it brought to you by the gray man brief this is one threat one solution a peer-reviewed study published in a curious journal on january 24 2024 found that for every 100,000 persons vaccinated with the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, two lives were saved due to the vaccine's effectiveness. However, for every 100,000
Starting point is 00:08:13 persons vaccinated with Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine, 27 died of serious adverse effects from the vaccine. Similar results were found for Moderna. According to researchers, the estimated harms outweigh the rewards. For every life saved, there were nearly 14 times more deaths caused by the modified mRNA injections. This is a peer-re-S Journal, January 24th, 2024. What do I mean when I say one threat, one solution? What's the threat here? What's the threat? I don't mean the vaccination itself.
Starting point is 00:08:55 What's the threat? Well, the threat is an overbearing, an overarching government. That's the threat. What's the solution? If we're doing one threat, one solution, right? What's the solution? Number one, I think we all have to become much more charitable with our finances.
Starting point is 00:09:24 much more charitable with our finances. No, in all honesty, it's crazy to say this out loud, but I really do think it's one of the things that we have to truly consider, and that is we've got to have less money to give to the government at the end of the year. We've really got to take a good, hard look at taxes. Not like the way that conservative hosts
Starting point is 00:09:44 would do 10 years ago and rattle off tax, tax, tax. I pay this tax, and I pay that tax, and I pay this tax. It's crazy all the taxes I have to pay. It's time to get smarter
Starting point is 00:09:57 with how we make money, how we spend money, and how we fund this massive bloated government that doesn't care about us at all. That's it. Do you know what I mean? I mean, that's part of the deal.
Starting point is 00:10:12 That's a serious part of the deal. We have to really look at how much money do we want to give to the government. Because my father, when I was young, he always used to say something that gets truer by the year. And I was young. I didn't even, I wasn't even getting paid with a paycheck when he used to tell me this. You know, I was working under the table, probably 13, 14. And he would say it constantly. He would say, Jim, the government doesn't want some of your money. They want all your money. And he would say it just like that all the time, my whole life growing up. I think that might have formed me into something. I don't know. What do you think?
Starting point is 00:10:54 So anyway, ordained ministry, 501c3, whatever it is, whatever it takes. You really need to wrap your head around keeping more of your money or giving more of your money to charities that you believe in rather than to the government. You know, that's something you can do all the time. If you know you've got an outstanding tax bill coming your way, maybe you're an entrepreneur or something like that, donate money throughout the year. Do you know what I mean? Donate money throughout the year to organizations like Preborn Or organizations that you believe in
Starting point is 00:11:28 Let's keep it out of the hands of these people Who are absolutely out of their minds You know It's important Where's the The article I mean, no, I'm sorry The bill
Starting point is 00:11:43 For The bill for the freaking border is so insane. The Defend Our Borders, is this Defend Our Borders from Armed Invaders Act? No. No, this is not. This is another one. This is what happens, though. A bill like this, lawmakers in the U.S. House have introduced the Defend Our Borders from Armed Invaders Act, which grant the National Guard forces to take such actions as may be necessary to include lethal force to repel persons attempting to enter the United States from Mexico who are carrying weapons and for other purposes. The reason a bill like—see, a like that hits hits the ground in the house and everybody goes the republicans are racist and mean and nasty and i don't like what they're doing
Starting point is 00:12:33 but the truth of the matter is uh people are pushed to that point that's what they need to understand. People don't wake up and, well, most people anyway, they don't wake up and say, you know what, I just want to go shoot all the Mexicans crossing the border. It's not how it goes. What happens is years and years of border crossings without any law and order, no one to stop it. Taxes going up, up and away in cities all across America, crime going up, resources going down, quality of care going down. Talk to Jay Ferg about quality of care. You'll hear about that this Saturday probably on our Phoenix Survival Show. probably on our phoenix survival show and then you have a bill that comes out the u.s senate on sunday unveils a uh or unveiled a hundred one hundred and eighteen billion dollar bipartisan border security bill um right but you say bipartisan border security this sounds like we're moving in the right direction somebody's's woken up. They get it, right? 118 billion.
Starting point is 00:13:48 118 billion, okay? Imagine how well you could secure the border if they gave you 118 billion dollars, right? 20.23 billion dollars of the 118 is going to go to the border. $20.23 billion out of $118 billion. $60 billion is going to go to our buddies in Ukraine to protect their border. $60 billion to Ukraine. $14 billion in security assistance for our buddies at Israel and their border. How about that? 2.4 billion? U.S. Central Command to deal with the Red Sea. What else?
Starting point is 00:14:39 What else to help the southern border? 4.83 billion to support U.S. partners in the Indo-Pacific facing aggression from China. This is why people get upset. This is why people go absolutely insane. This is why the House puts a bill on the floor that sounds crazy, because they go, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. We're dropping $118 billion for a border security bill, and most of the money is going outside the border. I don't understand what they expect from the average person who's paying attention. What type of response do you expect? In other words, if they could propose a
Starting point is 00:15:27 bill like this and explain it in front of the American people, right? Do you think the American people would applaud that? Because while we struggle, while we struggle, while the people of New York and New York City struggle, it's announced that the city will begin a $53 million pilot program that provides prepaid credit cards to migrant families and illegal immigrants that are already housed in hotels. And you're paying for it, particularly if you're in New York. You're paying for it. What if you're in New York. You're paying for it. What do they want out of us? Seriously. What kind of...
Starting point is 00:16:12 What are they trying to incite in a population? Where everything could be so backwards. Deportation, idiots! That's what you have to do It doesn't matter how upset Mexico gets with you These people walk the length of the nation of Mexico Untested Wound up in our country
Starting point is 00:16:38 Deportation Yeah, come on in I mean, look, you're halfway right Come on on in we'll give you a room in the four seasons then a bus is going to pull up everybody's going to get on the bus we're going to go across that southern border and drop you off in mexico and they can figure it out oh that's so mean what about the children what about our children what about our children what about our veterans what about our children? What about our children? What about our veterans? What about our seniors? Are you kidding me? What about the— are living in New York City right now have to be, they have to be so out of their mind.
Starting point is 00:17:28 They have to be so out of their mind. Even the middle class, they're throwing kids out of schools to put illegal people in the schools. Now they're going to give them prepaid cards, right? You're sitting here trying to figure out how to pay the electric. They're getting prepaid cards to sit in a hotel. Sitting the Four Seasons in order enchiladas up to the room. This stuff can't go on. This is literally how you make domestic terrorists.
Starting point is 00:17:59 Think about it. If you had to run the administration in such a way that you could produce domestic terrorists, this is exactly how you'd do it. You'd take the population. You'd push their back against the wall. You'd tell them that we're going to let the nation be invaded both through cyber attack and through the southern border. We're going to do nothing about it. If anybody tries to do something about it, we'll attack them. If anybody tries to do something about it, we'll attack them. Then, while you're struggling to get on your feet or whatever it is you have going on,
Starting point is 00:18:33 we're going to start handing out money in hotel rooms to people who don't even live here. We got people all up and down the streets of America holding signs. We got veterans in squalor. We've got children who can't read in the school system. And now we're going to throw—to make a child—because, you know, the Democrats love children so much. To make the children's life easier, we're going to take our already packed and stressed and overwhelmed public school system and dump illegal immigrants on the public school system who can't speak English and then look at the teachers and say, ESL, we'll figure it out. Yeah, don't worry. We love teachers too. Teachers union.
Starting point is 00:19:09 Yeah, yeah. Do what we say. Vote the way we want you to vote and we'll take care of you. Oh, they'll take care of you all right. Keep voting blue and they will take care of you, okay? You'll just be as happy as a clam, okay? You'll be stuffed in a gutter somewhere, lifeless, and all you'll be able to think about, I guess, in your last moments is,
Starting point is 00:19:33 well, maybe they didn't take care of me as good as they said they would. It's no laughing matter anymore, though. You know, the reality is it's no laughing matter. It's not. People, the reality is it's no laughing matter. It's not. People, the consequences are here. How can you wake up as a representative of the United States of America and understand that the children are being left behind and understand that the groups of people that you have wrung your hands about for so long and said, we're here to represent the minority.
Starting point is 00:20:07 We're here to represent the African-Americans. We're here to represent the Hispanic vote and the women and the teachers. How can you wake up and believe any of that when you look around the country and see that now we're moving into a point in history now where those groups of people are going to suffer the most. We warned that this would happen at the border. For many years, many people warned that the communities that will suffer the most will probably be minority and black communities. Right? Same thing, right?
Starting point is 00:20:47 It is what it is. The poor people will suffer because they'll take the resources that are utilized to help the poor and spread them even thinner. And the Democrats said, oh, no, we need a borderless world. We need a world where there are no borders. No one is illegal. We love all. Love.
Starting point is 00:21:11 Love saves all. Love. Love. How come I can't pay my oil bill with love? PBN family. The government's too damn big And too damn powerful And that's all there is to it It's time for us to do good
Starting point is 00:21:34 With our money And our taxes It's time to do good With charitable donations and the like If you say to yourself They take my money before I even get it, this is why I've told you for years that survival, I mean, entrepreneurship is a survival imperative. Okay?
Starting point is 00:21:52 It's what it is. You need control of that money. What's better than a cradle-to-grave existence where the government automatically taxes your paycheck before you even get a chance to say or do anything with your money. You could still have an effect, but, you know, get a little more control, all right? Let's do some SHTF Chef. Looks like there's some turbulence up ahead.
Starting point is 00:22:23 It's a good thing you found us. We are the Prepper Broadcasting Network. Newer path. Back to stability. All right, so I want to talk. That's my brief SHTF Chef intro for the time being. I want to talk about cooking with wine. I want to talk about something
Starting point is 00:22:47 that I don't see a lot of people do as much anymore. Maybe they do, I just don't know about it, but I don't think it's a thing. I see a lot of people drinking wine, but I don't know a lot of people cook with wine. Do you know the process of deglazing a pan and how vital it is? You cook something in a pan or a pot, you sear it or you
Starting point is 00:23:07 cook it on high heat to brown it and you brown beef or you brown chicken in a pot or in a pan. It leaves behind what's called fond or what the French call fond. And that fond is just, it's the basis of flavor. And to take a dish and to deglaze a pan with red or white wine, depending on the kind of dish you're creating, all of that fond then lifts up. All that flavor lifts up and marries in with the wine. And you create the base of something that can be incredible. One of my favorite things, seafood seafood related is to take some good shrimp
Starting point is 00:23:46 shell on thawed and to sear them in a pan on both sides with a little oil or a little butter right you know cook not serum too hard but you know get them nice and pink on both sides. And then you hit the pan with white wine. And you reduce the white wine down. Add maybe some oregano. I like oregano. So I'll add chopped oregano and chopped green parsley. Flat leaf parsley. And then, you know, once that all reduces down and starts to thicken just a little,
Starting point is 00:24:26 you take that pan off the heat and you mont au beurre. You know what mont au beurre is? It means mount with butter. Okay, so then you put a lot of butter in that pan. Butter, butter, butter, butter. I forgot to tell you to put minced garlic in before you deglaze. And you wind up with a delicious shrimp scampi, a buttery, delicious shrimp scampi. And, man, that's just a phenomenal dish.
Starting point is 00:24:55 But it is a cold season right now, so really what you want to reach for in this season is the red wine. Now, from the prepper's perspective, the reason you want to start cooking with wine if you're not already is because then you have, even if you aren't a wine drinker, you have a reason to store wine. You store wine. Store cheap wine for cooking because people aren't going to be looking for the 1990 Bordeaux if you're in a barter situation and they want some booze. You know what I mean? They'll take the $9.99 Australian vintage 2024 without issue. Get to cooking with wine. The best dish that you can do is the coq au vin right now, this time of year.
Starting point is 00:25:44 The coq au vin is a phenomenal dish, man. I mean, really, it's an amazing dish. It's designed for, I mean, you could cook any chicken, but it's designed for cooking roosters. And that's really what it is. It's rooster in wine, coq au vin, rooster in wine. But you can do it with any chicken. And basically
Starting point is 00:26:08 you just break the bird down. If you can get, if you can keep the bones on most of the meat, like a bone in breast, you know, bone in thigh, bone in drumstick, wing, that kind of stuff, that's what you're really after for traditional
Starting point is 00:26:23 coq au vin. And and you're gonna sear that all those pieces of chicken in a nice big pot right nice big pot sear all your chicken um get that good fond all in the pan then you're gonna add some garlic and maybe some some uh bacon lardoon some pearl onions is a big one, but you can use regular diced onions if you don't have them, and deglaze that pan with, this is a lot. I mean, you're going to use a lot of wine in this dish. You're going to use about a half a bottle of wine.
Starting point is 00:26:59 Deglaze that pan with about a half bottle of wine. Try to cover your chicken maybe about three quarters of the way if the wine i mean the wine's probably not going to do it so because it's going to cook down a little you add chicken broth the rest of the way chicken stock something like that and then you simmer that cockle man man you man. You simmer it for, I don't know, 45 minutes, something along those lines. And you get an amazing dish. I finish it with fresh thyme. I finish it with fresh rosemary.
Starting point is 00:27:33 I finish it with frozen green peas, rather. You can also add mushrooms to this if you're into mushrooms. I'm a big mushroom eater, so i like some weird mushrooms in there i put them in before uh before the deglaze you know what i mean and that's the deal man so get into cooking with wine you know the french have done it for a very long time a lot of people have done it's not just a french thing germans you know but get into it man it's a big deal i'm a i'm a fan and again it puts a stockpile of of cheap wines into the housing that can go a long way right do you guys hear this nonsense coming through maybe you don't i'm getting like uh one of those
Starting point is 00:28:19 skype conversations by from hackers you know what i mean i don't know if you get these i get these all the time it's like a girl that's trying to convince you that it's actually a girl talk to me i want to talk to you all i need is uh i don't know what they even would ask for but it's you know it's fake right off the bat. It ain't working, guys. You need a new technique. All right. Let's get into words, and then we'll wrap this 30-minute show up. Good God, I wasn't planning on doing a full-scale podcast this morning. Since we're working through our routine, I'm on day B today. I don't know where you're at, but I'm on day B today. 50 kettlebell cleans, dry fire practice, proverbs and meditation, okay? Intermittent fast is still going strong. I'm probably not going to eat breakfast till 10, but it's going to be a monster.
Starting point is 00:29:18 Let the wise listen and add to their learning and let the discerning get guidance. For understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and the riddles of the wise. Let, you know, obviously let the wise listen and add to their learning. Kind of straightforward, but let the discerning get guidance. You know, we need guidance. We need some guidance around here. No doubt about it. Oh, that's nice.
Starting point is 00:29:47 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching. They are a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck. My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them. Oh, God, that's scary. like those who go down to the pit.
Starting point is 00:30:24 We will get all sorts of valuable things and fill our houses with plunder. Cast lots with us. We will all share the loot. My son, do not go along with them. Do not set foot on their path, for their feet rush into evil. They are swift to shed blood. How useless to spread a net where every bird can see it.
Starting point is 00:30:41 These men lie in wait for their own blood. They ambush only themselves. Such are the paths of all who go after the ill-gotten gains. It takes away the life of those who get it. Let's end with that. That's a creepy line, though. My son, if sinful men
Starting point is 00:31:00 entice you, do not give in to them. As a father, as a fallen man. That's very interesting to me. My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them. What if that sinful man is dad? Anyhow, what's up, PBN family? I hope everyone is having a good time i hope you're not letting the
Starting point is 00:31:28 world beat you down i know it's uh it's a wild wild ride out there right now stay with us stick with us hang with us enjoy the rest of your day we have uh l doug Douglas Hogan today with Died Suddenly Part 3 on the Prepper Broadcasting Network.
