Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to PBN. Your path back to stability. Welcome into PBN Daily News, everybody. It is January 8th. I want to open the show and talk about EDC clothing. I want to talk about functional clothing. I want to talk about prepper clothing. I want to talk about functional clothing. I want to talk about prepper clothing. Do you dress functionally for your preparedness lifestyle day to day? I'll tell you that through the summer months, I love wearing basketball shorts with the tie at the top. I just do. There's a lot of outdoor working out going on, a lot of outdoor running going on,
Starting point is 00:01:02 and play and all that kind of stuff. And it's just something wonderful about a summer in Virginia with a pair of basketball shorts on and it's 80 degrees in the morning. The functionality, though, my level of preparedness changes dramatically. Right now, I know there's a bunch of ways that you can carry guns nowadays and sweatpants and so on, all that kind of stuff. I'm telling you right now, your capability changes based on what you wear, right? Do you go to work in a suit with flat bottom shoes where you slip all over the place and you can't run? Can you run? Can you jump? Can you kick? Can you fight? Can you do those things in the clothes that you wear day to day?
Starting point is 00:01:46 For the ladies out there who are in those big high heels, you look great, you feel great. But can you do anything besides take them off and run barefoot? Yes, things have changed in our world. And I want you to think about the functionality of your clothing. It's not to say that you have to dress that way all the time every day, but it's also at least to be honest with yourself and say, hey, today I'm going to be less functional. So what I'll do is I'll add a pouch. What I'll do is I'll add a bag. What I'll do is I'll bring
Starting point is 00:02:18 something extra and keep it stored in the car just in case, Okay? It's not that we have to forfeit our life to tactical pants every day. It's just that we have to understand we need contingencies in place based on what we're wearing and what the capabilities of the clothing that we wear are. I like 5.11 tactical pants.
Starting point is 00:02:43 They're nice. I like stretchy tactical pants. You know what I mean? That look like they should be tight and uncomfortable or actually really, really forgiving. Swiss Tech pants. I don't know if they exist anymore, but I've had a couple pairs of those
Starting point is 00:02:56 for probably 10 years now almost. Amazing. Light. Thin. Stretchy. I could throw a high kick in Swiss Tech pants. They're awesome. Last week, I got a couple pairs of LA Police gear pants that were on sale. Not so forgiving, you know? Not so, a little tighter than I like. Plenty of capability,
Starting point is 00:03:20 though, okay? So, think about your clothing, all right? It's very important. Let's get into One Threat, One Solution, shall we? All right, big thanks to our friends at the Gray Man Brief for bringing us this intelligence report. December 2023 saw 302,000 plus illegal immigrants encountered at the U.S. border, making it the highest month on record. It's a tide that we're not going to stem. It's something that we're not going to stop. We have a make-believe world in our heads about a
Starting point is 00:04:01 Donald Trump presidency and a wall across the southern border and all those kinds of things. How far out are we from that? You know what I mean? How many more millions of people will be in this country? So the one threat is, of course, the fact that there's an invasion happening at the southern border and it's impossible to manage now. Well, it's not impossible to manage now, but we're not willing to put the resources down there and do the things necessary to manage it. What's also important to understand is that you're not having enough babies to replace you and the people that you know and love. It's not just you, you know what I mean? It's all of us. We're not having big families. We're importing big families. And I'm telling you right now, this might be hard for you to understand, depending on what you've read and what you know, but you're not going to so much regret the young people coming into the United States are going to basically be the population that intermingles with your own children and carries the nation.
Starting point is 00:05:16 Barring collapse, you know what I mean? Barring collapse, you need a certain amount of young people to balance out the amount of older people. amount of young people in to balance out the amount of older people and as americans no matter what um no matter what race you're talking about i'm not race no matter what what's the word i'm looking for yeah race no matter what race you're talking about I started thinking there's only one race, the human race. That's what I literally was thinking in my head. Nobody's having kids like they used to, okay? So the replacement situation is in danger. Not a lot of nations have the ability to import a bunch of youth, but we're also importing murderers. We're also importing enemies of the state. We're also importing combat-ready troops from other armies, I think, too. And I don't need to tell you guys that.
Starting point is 00:06:12 You know it. So two things. I mean, when it comes to One Prep, One Solution, the first one is wrapping your head around the reality, understanding this is happening, 300,000 people a month. That's how many were encountered. 500,000 probably came in, right? So your world is changing. There are areas in the country where your world is going to change a lot. Ask New York, right? Ask California. California decided under the unbelievable Gavin Newsom that they would pay, starting the first of the month,
Starting point is 00:06:51 they would pay for all illegal immigrants' health care for free in California. And somehow they're going to do that with a $3.1 million budget and taxpayer funds. budget and taxpayer funds, yeah, they're going to use $3.1 million to pay for all illegal immigrants in California's free health care per year. If it weren't terrifying, it would be hilarious. $300,000 came across last month. What are you going to do with $3.1 million?
Starting point is 00:07:28 I hope that was supposed to be billion. I hope that was written wrong. Because $3.1 million is not even going to scratch the surface. Have you been to the doctor lately? Have you been to the ER? $3.1 million. I know Americans who have $3.1 million in medical bills. No, I don't.
Starting point is 00:07:48 But I'm sure they're out there. I am sure they're out there. Let's get into the SHTF, shall we? I got to mop this thing up pretty quick because I'm kicking it out bright and early. I wanted to get it out bright and early today, but I got things creeping up on me, man. Life is creeping up on me. So you know what? We'll leave SHTF Chef for tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:08:13 What we're going to do today, we're going to end a little quickly. We're going to go right to the reading. And we're going to read something simple from the Biblai. And I want you to dwell on this today from Thessalonians. We're going to talk about braising tomorrow. We're going to revisit braising and braising a beef shank. Okay, so a cross cut of a cow leg. We're going to talk about braising and the importance of braising in January. I don't have time and I want to get into it. I want to get deep into it. But I don't have time, and I want to get into it. I want to get deep into it, but I don't have time to do it today.
Starting point is 00:08:47 This is actually take two. I screwed up the first take. Don't tell anybody, okay? Don't tell anybody. I'm going to let everybody know. Rejoice always. Pray continually. Give thanks in all circumstances.
Starting point is 00:09:11 For this is God's will for you in Jesus Christ. All right, Thessalonians 5, 16 through 18. No matter the circumstances, right? I want you to understand this. No matter how your Monday morning started, rejoice always. Pray continually. Give thanks in all circumstances.
Starting point is 00:09:34 For this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Gratitude is everything, PBN family. The older you get, the more you understand it. Gratitude is everything. The younger you are, the more you understand it. Gratitude is everything. The younger you are, you can't understand it. But the older you are, you understand that the balance of your resentment and your anger towards the world, the only thing that you can actually do, there are no drugs, there's not enough sex, there's not enough video games,
Starting point is 00:10:02 there's not enough anything out there. There's not enough video games. There's not enough anything out there. The only thing to combat your anger and resentment is to take the time to dig deeply into what you're grateful for in your life. And even if you're sitting there on the edge of your bed alone and you can't find a mate and you can't find a job and you can't find a this and you can't find this and you can't find that. The day is pregnant with opportunity for you and you must be grateful. I'll talk to you guys tomorrow. Don't miss Preppers Live tonight, 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. No, I don't know what we're talking about or who's going to be on it, but we'll have ourselves one hell of a show. See you....funged into darkness. SCOM says it expects to continue with Stage 6, running blackouts for the rest of the week.
