You're listening to PBM.
You're paying back the stability. Welcome in, folks. James Walton with the Prepper Broadcasting Network. How are you?
Do I need headphones to conduct this situation? I don't think I do, actually.
I feel better with them off. They hit this thing.
Sunday.
The snow is coming.
The world is losing its mind.
You know what I mean?
The world is losing its mind.
The snow is coming.
It's January.
They can't believe it's winter again.
And whatever shall we do?
Xanax.
Clonazepam.
Lorazepam.
Hydroxazine.
Ativan.
Lexapro.
Get your Lexapro. Boost Bar, what does that say, Ectoplasm, Gabapentin, Valium, Diazepam, or no, I'm sorry, Diazepam, Buprupupum, Cymbalta, just a few on a list of 53.
Paxil, Clonidine, Mirtagazakepazapine, Just a list of a handful of some 53 different anti-anxiety medications to help you deal with your life.
Back in 2018, I bought the Prepper Broadcasting Network.
Something was stirring within fitness, health.
building ourselves up as capable people, fitness, health.
I knew this was bigger than just Nat Geo, Doomsday Preppers television. This was bigger than Bear Grylls, Survivorman, Wilderness Survival television.
This was bigger than The Road, and this was bigger than 28 Days Later,
and this was bigger than, you know, whatever.
Insert Prepper movie book theme here.
Last year, it was your path back to stability.
And I think we'll maintain that as our sort of our tagline as things deteriorate. We have proven in our own lives and in the lives of many of our listeners that
doing what preppers and urban homesteaders, however you want to look at it, do,
you find yourself in a more stable position considering the time we're living in.
But what's been really in my head lately, particularly with what's happened
at the beginning of the year already,
is anti-anxiety.
Anti-anxiety, folks.
What are you anxious about?
What are people anxious about?
What are people worried about?
I got a little cough still.
I'm clinging on to this uh china whatever the hell
this bill gates china bezos uh soros fauci created virus that's in my lungs right now my upper
respiratory it is what it is the lizard flu let's go with that. Who are the lizards? Do you guys know who the lizards are?
I found one.
Cheers, PBN family, to a great year in 2025.
Despite the headlines, despite what they want you to believe.
What people seem to have forgotten about anxiety and anti-anxiety is that there are all kinds of steps you can take. You know what I mean? And what I'm quickly realizing is,
let's use the snow as an example. I'm sitting here
excited for the snow, right? I'm sitting here excited for the snow, right?
I'm sitting here excited for the snow.
Literally excited.
The only preparedness stuff I may do is run a generator,
make sure she's ready to go,
make sure that this generator right here at my feet from point zero energy
is fired up to 100
and again i'll move some wood and get some kindling ready and that kind of stuff today but
none of it's anxious none of it's like oh no i gotta get this done you know why because we have water. We have food. We have backup heat solutions. We have answers to the problems that could come. You know what I mean?
comes from. Anti-anxiety doesn't come from a pill, and I don't even think it really comes from a therapist, to be quite honest. I do believe that you have to physically shave a layer of
anxiousness off of you, too. I do believe that, and I know this from getting sick. When you get
sick, when I particularly get sick, i lay around to get better and all the
energy that i'm accustomed to using for fitness and work and stuff like that it uh it manifests
in anxiety and depression it's like clockwork i'll be laying in bed sick and all of a sudden
these weird depressive thoughts come into my head.
Now, I've dealt with it for so many years, and I'm intentional about what happens with
my mind and my body that I see it coming now, and I understand what it is.
Even though it's strong, it's not something you just swat away.
Anybody who's dealt with stuff like that, you know it's not just swatted away.
But what I do is I recognize. I can look at it. at it i can say you know this is all part of getting sick it's all part of this extra energy
built up inside of me it wants to do something meaningful so it's going to sit here and pick
me apart what do i need to do better why are you in this situation what you should be doing with
you know what you failed that way You know what I'm saying?
This is part of life.
As we move into this year and you start seeing things happen that are crazy,
another year of crazy things will happen.
What I will be doing and what many of the people that I call friends and family
here on PBN will be doing is prepping, homesteading, preserving
food, storing food, these kinds of things, building relationships, networking with people
who are of the like mind. We have long established a position and we continue to improve upon it daily.
We have long established a position and we continue to improve upon it daily.
I can't tell you the level of anxiety that we do not feel because of these things that we do.
Which is pretty counterintuitive because back in the day there used to be this sort of mentality that, you know, well, it was the mentality that what preppers are nervous and
scared and fearful and full of anxiety. Right. And that's our situation. And that's what we're
worried about. We're worried about almost everything. And it never really sat well with me.
Right. Didn't really make sense. Even when I was outside of it, looking in,
looking at it, you're like the people making the preparations are the nervous and the scared ones.
Seems seems a little off, you know what I mean? Seems a little off.
So I never really bought it. And then I started getting into it.
And then I put up food for the first time.
And I realized. This has a tremendous effect on your mind, right?
Then I started carrying a concealed weapon.
This has a tremendous effect on anxiety.
The things that you do, right?
Backup power, all that kind of stuff.
Mastering fire.
Tremendous amount, you know.
Sometimes when I'm out, we're going to talk about a fire kit here real quick from our friends over at lima tango survival
get to know them uh lima tango survival.com awesome incredible stuff we'll talk about this
fire kit here in a second i think uh with the freezing temperatures here with the uh you know
what else the snow on the horizon i think it's important to discuss fire kits comfortability
with fire that kind of stuff and you know all that can you go up for about five minutes, buddy? Appreciate it.
One of the youngest has appeared.
The youngest has appeared from slumber.
Pretty good.
10 o'clock.
They've been enjoying their break, man.
They've been sleeping in.
So you want to get into fire kit?
You want to do some gear talk?
Do you want to do some inside the cash some do you want to do some inside the cash folks let's do it okay inside the cash let's get into all right guys inside the cash check it out this little baby's a cache in and of itself, actually.
This is a fire cache by our friends at Lima Tango Survival.
I've got a big box behind me with an even bigger bag that you're going to love.
I don't know if I can get you a good look at the Lima.
I love their little logo.
You'll get another shot at the logo, too too i want to show you something real quick that
came out of this box it's a packing list for everything in the bag very cool very cool idea
see i can't put a head on because of the super light but it is what it is um limaango, the fire kit. Okay. The fire kit, 25 bucks over at limatangosurvival.com.
Uh, the container itself.
I can't say, uh, we're dealing with waterproof.
It's a pretty tight seal.
It doesn't have to be waterproof though, because of the things that are inside of it.
Okay.
Now, one thing in this kit stands out right off the bat that really made me smile.
And this is it.
A revolution in fire's making.
A Lima Tango lighter.
Okay.
A Lima Tango lighter.
Look at that.
Fire.
Just like that.
It's amazing.
Don't overcomplicate stuff, guys.
When it comes to making fire, don't try to be a caveman.
You're not a caveman.
It's 2024.
So some really thoughtful fire tape,
vac sealed.
Okay.
These are,
uh,
pair,
probably paraffin wax.
Let's see if I can get you a better look at it.
They're kind of bright.
Paraffin wax.
You see here?
Soaked cotton discs.
I love wax-coated things for starting fire.
This is about my favorite. On the back side here, we also got some plugs and some jute that are also dipped in wax.
I can tell just by feeling them.
The jute might not be but these plugs are and uh this is good stuff man you know what these might not be either these
might be for tearing up like tinder so you can get sparks going but i love this little detail
of the vac seal, okay?
Fat wood, good quality fat wood.
How do you know it's good quality?
You smell it, and you want to smell that cedar smell, man.
You want that hard cedar smell.
Very cool addition.
I really like this as an addition to a fire kit.
Pencil sharpener.
That's because you want to do a detailed drawing of your fire.
Just kidding.
This thing is great.
This gives you the ability to take a stick about that size and twist off some shavings.
Rain down shavings that you can hit with fire.
We got an awesome little fire starter here in foil protection.
I opened it just to check it out.
We got aluminum foil here for a number of different things.
One thing that you could use this for that's important, if you're in a wet fire situation, this gives you a place to start a fire, start a flame, sit it right on top of all that wet leaves, wet ground, get it going.
Another great little tool here, and this comes in two pieces because it's a little bigger than the kit.
This is a ferrocerium rod protected within this metal
you see we've got this little container here
and we've got the ferro rod here striker you can throw sparks if you're into that kind of thing
i spent a lot of years playing around with these ferro rods.
One thing that you got to do is you got to get something started.
You see that little line there I just got started?
If you try to hit it out of the box and hit this black stuff, you know, the outside coating, it might seem like it's not working.
But once you get that line established, you could throw fire.
But you could throw sparks.
And throwing sparks is a hell of a lot different than sticking a lighter onto something.
Right?
If you want to have success with fire throwing sparks, you need much finer tinder.
Right?
Much finer tinder that's going to catch those sparks.
You need a level of patience.
And that's what you need, folks.
But this is a neat little tool. i don't have anything like this could go on a necklace right if you didn't want to put it in a kit but all this
comes packed away in this kit man and i think it's pretty uh i think it would be more than enough
to help you out these guys would probably probably be where you go the most.
Like if I'm in trouble and it's wet and rainy,
I'm gathering tinder out of trees and kindling out of trees.
I'm going to drop this down.
I'm going to get this paraffin lit underneath of a stack of dry or semi-dry sticks
to get that first fire going and then get some medium-sized fuel working on top of that.
But this is a neat little kit over at Lima Tango Survival.
Pardon me.
Put it anywhere, right?
You can see the size of the thing.
Thing going to go pretty much anywhere, in in any bag in any any spot in your car
truck whatever in your house really cool thing to give your child if they're just getting started
in fire you want it when it comes to fire so visit limatangosurvival.com there's a link down
below in the show description if you're watching the podcast. If you're on Rumble, if you're on YouTube, link down in the description to go right to the Fire Kit or you can just search Fire Kit up on their website.
Fire on their website.
It'll come up.
But a cool little kit, pretty affordable little kit for figuring out what you can do with fire.
A lot of people assume they can start fire.
A lot of people assume they can start and sustain fire. A lot of people assume they can start fire. A lot of people assume they can start and sustain
fire. And a lot of people find out, luckily in their backyard, in a fire pit or in a fireplace,
they don't know the first thing about starting and sustaining a fire. And it is a skill set.
It's a skill set that many years ago I failed at up on the side sustaining a fire. And it is a skill set. It's a skill set that many years ago,
I failed at up on the side of a mountain. It's a skill set that I've heard many grown men lament
who never learned it. It's not as easy as you think. You know what I mean? Particularly if
you're in a situation where all elements are not working in your favor. Add cold, add rain,
elements are not working in your favor add cold add rain add hunger right add fear add darkness add whatever gets gets difficult so i found that i found that it was really good to sort of practice some of these tougher methods of making fire ferrocerium rod uh what else i mean i
really really fundamentally focused on ferrocerium rod uh frenal lens great too did a lot of that in
the midday um but i really focused a lot on ferrocerium rod because I like the idea.
I mean, just think about how many fires you would start with that.
That's a little ferro rod.
I have great big ferro rods in our bags.
Ferro rods, you would have trouble wearing out the rest of your life.
That's why I like it.
You know what I mean?
It makes sense.
You'll make fire forever with the thing if you know how to make fire with it and for a good two three years
that's the only way i made fire fireplaces fire pits campfires you know it was that and typically
dryer lint or some collection of dry tinder and And I played that game long enough.
Until I understood that I got it.
And once I had it.
I had it.
You know what I mean.
And now I rarely do it.
I do it from time to time.
I do it with my kids.
So that they can get it.
I think it's very important.
And now it's lighter.
Lighter.
This Lima Tango lighter is going on my keychain i love this thing
some nights i walk outside with my older dog
and we walk up the hill a bit and we get cold start getting cold you know i won't bundle up
just go out there in a t-shirt or a hoodie. And I started to get real cold and I look around
and I say, okay, what would you grab first? You know, what would you do first? And if you had
nothing, what would you do? And if you had a lighter, what would you do? You know what I mean?
Cause to be honest, if I'm in the woods with a lighter, as long as I'm not like debilitatingly injured, it's an, it's a 99.99% chance I'm going to have
a fire. So, um, I think about that stuff in the cold, in the dark. All right. You're out here.
Your whole family's out here for some reason. What happened? Doesn't matter what happened,
what you're going to do, uh, now, what are you going to do now? What comes next? What comes
first? Where are you grabbing? What kind of grasses are you gonna do now what comes next what comes first where you grabbing what
kind of grasses are you looking for and right now there's a lot of like tufts of dried stuff
you know grasses with tufts up top that just you can grab a bunch of those man and even with a
ferro rod you'll you'll make a fire you'll start a flame okay starting a flame and making a fire are two different things.
But the cold season is a great season to hone in that fire making capability.
Because the warmth of a fire is like nothing else.
Right now our fireplace is going and it will probably be going until the end of the week.
As cold as it's going to be around here. This whole prepping and survival
thing, this whole homesteading and old skills, this is the solution, the best solution to
anxiety. You've got like.
The more comfort and convenience we got as time went on, the higher anxiety went.
Right.
Things got a little too easy and we got real comfortable and all of our survival energy force went into this anxiety thing, you know, and then the news got a hold of us and the headlines got a hold of us and then the social networks got a hold of us.
And now it's just all every single day you wake up on this on this hamster wheel of threats and price and economy. And what am I going to do?
What am I going to do is the only question you should,
and we have the answer. You know what I mean? What you're going to do is take control of your
life again. What you're going to do is look, you're going to go back six steps. That's what
you're going to do. You're going to go back a few paces and you're going to find yourself in a situation where, oh, I have control of the
food that goes in my body. I have protein in the backyard. I have water stored in a variety of ways
and places, right? You're going to step away from the convenience and comfort of modern society.
I'm not saying you're going to live in a barrel out back and take baths in the creek.
You're just going to take a few steps back away from Uber Eats, which is bleeding you dry with money.
You're going to take a few steps back from deliver everything to my front door.
I get stuff delivered all the time.
This T-shirt, this beautiful Warhammer 40,000 T-shirt I had delivered. deliver everything to my front door. I get stuff delivered all the time.
This t-shirt, this beautiful Warhammer 40,000 t-shirt I had delivered.
Stick, dorky stuff. You know what?
I got some earrings for my wife the other night.
Delivered.
It's not to disconnect completely from this day and age.
It's just you have to understand. We've built.
A torture chamber for ourselves.
That's what we did.
We didn't know we were doing it.
But we've built a torture chamber of ourselves.
For perpetual stimulation and pleasure.
And it ain't working.
And that's why at the head of the show.
I read you 53 medications.
Or I read you some of 53 medications designed
to ease the human mind in a life like this. What are you talking about? It's like 20 degrees
outside. I'm as warm as can be. Got a great hat on. I bought this hat for like two bucks.
I don't even know. It might even be wool. The world is yours for the taking, my man.
It's yours for the taking.
But you're being bogged down because you're not prepared.
You are in a world of disbelief and you're in a world of misbelief.
You were probably born and raised at a time where everyone told you life was going to be sweet and secure and safe and the police were going to help and the army was going to keep you safe no matter what else you didn't know about
pandemics you had no idea about some of the threats that we face today and now you're awash
in this high anxiety lifestyle where you you know, the other thing is you're on a roller coaster of chemicals.
Because when you play video games or look at social media, you get a big bunch of chemicals.
And then in order for your body to deal with all those chemicals, you get off the game, you get off of whatever it is you're doing and you drop down.
Right.
And then an up and then a down and then up, and then down.
So you're on that coaster all day.
And then you're also trying to deal with the fact that while you were on that coaster,
you came face-to-face with some real demons.
Like, oh, there's some real monsters out there in the world I got to be prepared for.
Folks, it's all real the beauty of it all is prepping homesteading
really becoming something in here really becoming something here too
dude i can't explain how little anxiety you will have. Now, I got a working class guy.
I still got plenty of things to worry about.
Don't get me wrong.
But when people start getting shot in the French Quarter, guys start blowing cyber trucks up.
I'm not sitting here.
I don't have a gun.
I don't know how to do anything.
I don't know how to.
What happens if society falls apart?
What happens if this stuff starts happening all the time?
What if I have to go to war?
What if I have to do this? Whatever. Be ready. The best thing you can do right now,
what is the quickest route? What is the quickest route to the January routine?
You got to go find the podcast on the January routine. It was just a couple of days ago.
You got to go find the podcast on the January routine.
It was just a couple days ago.
It's your quickest.
We got fitness in the routine.
We got firearms training, dry fire in the routine.
We've got meditation in the routine.
We've got prayer in the routine.
You can literally prep your way out of all this anxiety.
I'm telling you.
And you're either going to do it now or you're going to do it later and you're going to wish you did it sooner.
So get to it, man.
Get to it.
Listen to the Prepper Broadcasting Network.
Get very familiar with our hosts. We're all doing the same things.
We're all out here living this lifestyle.
When threats like these happen, we talk about them.
But we also understand inherently if we got to stay put because things are getting crazy, we're more than prepared to do it.
We're more than prepared to do it. Right. If things get crazy and we got to go somewhere more than prepared to do it.
If we need people more than prepared. This is where you want to be.
This is where you want to be. Whatever else you got going on in your life, fine.
But cut a segment out for this, okay?
And I guarantee you, you'll have less anxiety.
All right, folks.
I'm getting out of here.
