Welcome back to the Changing Earth podcast with author Sarah F. Hathaway and co-host
Chen Gibson, blending survival, fiction, and fact to bring you entertaining education
that will help you dream, survive, and thrive.
And now here's your host, Sarah F. Hathaway and Chen Gibson.
Hello, I'm welcome back to the Changing Earth podcast.
This is episode number 483.
We're somewhere in season 18.
I don't know.
It's been where we got a lot of seasons.
Hey, Jim, what's up?
This is what happens when you get to 18.
Yeah, 18 and it all fell apart.
I'll figure it out again.
I'm thinking that as soon as I catch up on all my.
audio drama videos and audio production that we can go back to more of a weekly,
biweekly, and read the Las Vegas years.
So, yeah, so when we do that, we'll start a new season and we'll bring it back together.
We'll bring it back together.
Oh, because we take so long catching up pre-show all the time.
It's true.
We do.
We do take a long time.
we try you know uh today i was literally in the scramble i was like we were outside building a new
woodshed we've been at it for all weekend trying to get ready for christian's birthday parties having all
the boys over you know it's going to be a big to do so uh we've been setting up badmintonets and
all this stuff we never made it that far but we are cleaned up and ready to go so yeah so i literally
came in from the yard uh i threw on a new hat not my work hat and a clean shirt and here i am i was
like i'll brush my hair for the audience yeah that's literally hell went down today so welcome everybody
who's out there uh view and live happy to have you with us i got my new webcam so i don't have to
sit right on the top of my computer so you can see a little bit more of me I guess and
my wall you don't have to look at my office clutter so and then Chin's got his hat there
you lost my head all the time though you lost my duck man I did I honestly did I don't know
where he went sorry I'm gonna have I've got him stored somewhere I'll send him back over to
you uh we've got some big
stuff going on this month. I was close, man, to being like, are we just going to call this month
off? Because Prepper Camp, I know you get into planning and all of the goodies there. And,
you know, we're going strong. And all the boys' birthdays are right on top of Preper Camp and all
of that. So it's quite a month for us to say the least. But I was out in the camper,
checking stuff out, pulling stuff in to go through it and start getting everything.
Yeah, that's after the party.
The cover will come off.
We're right on top of it, though, after the party.
I think we have one weekend and then we're out.
Yeah, that's what.
And then I'm going to have to get into, I got to do some work on the utility trailer to help Rick bring stuff over to the campground.
I figured all that would be going down.
Switch gears from homeowner to pre-game.
A vet organizer?
yeah uh jb too you know she's getting ready yeah she's all over the place she is she's going to be
doing like a big event in nashville and then rolling out of nashville to go to prepper camp so
she's just a busy gal and we all got hit with uh i guess it's covid or whatever i don't know
you get a cold nowadays and they're like oh no you got the covid have you done the test and i'm like
no i've never done any test ever sorry but i'm not
buying what you're selling so did you hear dave's rant no put out a rant about the vaccine and everything
it's pretty fun yes yes dave represent um no so we've been really sick though i've been so sick so
if i am coughing more than normal or whatever uh forgive me but yeah i was it was really bad um
fevers and just mad chills i still have an earache and um we've had sinuses and allergies and
they've had uh whatever what's it pollen alerts oh yeah on the on the uh phone and the weather apps
yeah it's crazy yeah brock's got the allergies on top of whatever we got and um so it's just
been a nightmare but you know kids go back to school and
And life has to go on.
You just got a nut up.
And that's what we've been trying to do.
So, let's see what else we got going.
The audio drama.
We are into season three now.
The videos are really cool.
And I've been putting in some, like, educational videos as well.
Because, you know, me, I'm always trying to teach through my fiction.
So I was like, oh, learning moment.
Let's go ahead and put some in.
The video I'm working out right now is just,
been so labor intensive because it's like action scene after action scene so it doesn't have a lot of
the educational videos in there but it's going to be a lot of fun turn out really good so um those are
dropping every thursday they drop live and uh some cool shorts as well to go with it i've been making
songs for the changing earth uh yeah i saw that yeah they've been turned out really fun so
we'll have that rocking at prepper camp i got some new speakers and we'll be able to rock
the change in earth music.
Everybody will be sick of me by the time
camp's over.
Not unusual though.
Las Vegas years on Amazon,
go get it.
You can also get signed copies
if you go to my website and buy one there.
I'll sign it and send it out to you.
If you're coming out to Preper Camp,
I'm going to have some great deals on books out there.
The new one,
One's, you know, pretty much standard price, but I've got some old ones still hang out at my bargain bin.
They're collector additions, Sarah.
They're not old ones.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, that, see, oh, what do you call it?
Like, original covers?
What's the, what's the word for it?
Yeah, say, I told you I'm going to be coffin today.
I'll do my best to work through.
I got my water right here.
but it's inevitable this has been really bad um yeah so Las Vegas years go get it my mom's
read it she uh you know if it's mom approved she's like my worst critic I'm not kidding
she's like oh well um I think the chapters were a little short I'm like oh yeah where's
your book like yeah so no she liked it uh so mama longer than your chapter ma yeah right
i haven't seen any of those how many series do you got out yeah yeah um it's now an 11 book
series so i'm at an odd number i swore i was going to stop writing then but now i'm in an odd
number it's like the graphics don't look right i don't know we'll see what happens
happens. You never know. You know how much time I have on my hands? I'm sure I can pop
something else out like real quick. Uh, prepper camp. Obviously, uh, huge topic. I'm not even
sure. Are they sold out now? Um, I'm not sure if they're sold out or not, but I got
email that with the 15th, it's the last day of tickets. So yeah, if they're not sold out
already, get them because they're going to be shut down anyway.
so yeah and uh it's gonna be a really great crew out there's a week from monday when we're recording um we only have a couple of holes in like the pbn crew you know as far as that goes of uh folks who can't make it this year
doug's got to go to a wedding so bummer have to throw them in the pot make up any excuse i know right
whatever you know a wedding that's important
Prepper camp is much more important.
And then my personal big news is I started another martial arts form.
I saw.
Yeah.
I started training crab maga.
I'm sure I say it wrong.
Everybody said, that's not how you say it.
I'm like, I don't care.
I'm from Michigan.
You can have to put another wing on the house to store all your belts.
That, well, I really love training crab.
MMA.
Yeah.
craft um mima still has a little bit of the sport um aspect of things going so like you can't do
that because it's part of the sport but crab has really it's like take all of your martial arts
and combine them together and then do that also with weapons systems and knives and um it's
more like street fight it's very much more like street fight self-defense um yeah after
Man, I've been training now, Coach Trey is, it's Agogi, A-G-O-G-E, the school's out of Houston.
And Bingo was his name?
Yeah, right.
Phenomenal instructors, phenomenal lineage.
Are you going to different, whatever, gyms or what do they call it, or is it all at the same place with different instructors?
Well, I train MMA at one gym and without an instructor, and then I train Krav at another gym with another gym.
instructor so yeah i just bounce back and forth um my mma instructor he um started a job um you know
they're increasing security around uh churches and things like that much yeah right so the he got
a job with a private um defense contracting company and so he's been involved in that a lot more
So, you know, it's more hit and miss over there where a crab, you know, is real steady.
Also, the crab, the way the instructor teaches is very much for anybody.
So I'm really advanced, obviously, martial arts and whatnot.
And I'm getting just as much of my out of classes as people who aren't.
And also on the physical level, like my instructor wrote at MMA,
He will toast you.
I mean, you just feel like you want to throw up after every class.
It's not even, not even funny.
Like, Brock would just keel over in that class.
But at Krav, it's to the level that, you know, you can really perform.
You can get stronger.
You don't have to be as in shape to get started, in other words, right?
So now, you know, after all of the different styles that I've done,
I would really recommend
that people train craft
it really brings it all together
and it's much more practical
for... I was going to say, yeah, is it like more of a
for self-defense?
Yeah.
Not for like an art form or exercise.
Right. You're never getting confused by
this is what we do in our sport and our tournament.
Uh-huh. Yeah.
And you're not, you know, and you're not allowed
to do like stuff you would do on the street there so you know once you have to retrain your brain
to actually like um now i'm going to punch through somebody now you know this is real like i don't
want to just tap who your friends are right but when you're like training of course everybody has to go
home at the end of the day you know yeah so if you're always training that way though that's how
you perform in a real life situation
So there has to be a balance there.
Excuse me.
I'm going to be apologizing all day.
So yeah, start trying to craft, having a blast with it.
Great community, great people.
So I would recommend that school or, you know, a craft school in your area.
They're everywhere.
And I would recommend that style a lot.
It combines the jujitsu and the stand-up as well.
So.
And then come to find out when you're training in Jiu-Jitsu, like 90% of what you do in
Jiu-Jitsu is a felony if you do that on the street.
Huh?
Yeah.
Like 90% of the moves that you learn in Jiu-Jitsu.
If you do that to somebody in self-defense on the street, it's a felony.
That's crazy.
Yeah.
So I was like, Jiu-Jitsu is not really the answer.
Plus, going to the ground.
is not always the best idea, especially if it's like a mob of people, right?
So, but it's good.
You got to know your ground skills, too.
I mean, you have to have defense there.
So you got to know how to get yourself out of that.
So yeah, fun, fun, good stuff.
Today we're talking about it's National Preparedness Month.
And so it's always a good thing.
to stop spring and fall and really go through your preps although i haven't even bought my list
from the spring cleanup so yeah that is uh that is cool all right l2 survive is in there
i'm sorry guys with my new webcam i'm a more i'm further away from the uh from the keyboard so i can
answer questions out loud, but I won't be typing as much, or else I'll look like a freak
leaning down there. Oh, but he went out to Observer Ranch, met Ben, awesome. That, I actually,
one of the guys that I'm training with at Crave, he's on the observer's founders list. I was like,
no way. That's so cool. Yeah. Yeah. So we're going to be doing some preparedness events,
putting that together through that school.
Like I say, just a really good community.
It's always good to have community, you know, and I needed that.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
All right.
So today we're talking about 10 basic items.
Well, we're going to have more than that.
But some basic items to get ready for our winter fall time prepping.
the your multi-hazard emergency kit okay that's a it's a standard guys but um there are some things
that are interesting like maybe stocking up on more n95 masks because of the wildfire risk in
your area the smoke volcanic type stuff pollen fair enough fair enough when you're out there man
I'm finally learning that when you're out there, like, mowing and doing weed whacking and stuff, put a freaking mask on.
Right.
So I feel much better at the end of the day than I used to just go out there and, you know, whatever.
Work through it.
You know, we don't need that crap.
Yeah.
And I just feel like, crap.
Yeah.
I was like, no, face mask works.
Brock was always that way with the ear protection, right?
Oh, yeah.
And since you turned me on to those shooting the earbuds, right, that are the noise cancels, but also wearing those same ones.
Because he was even using like traditional earbuds, but because your equipment's so loud, he's turning up the music louder.
Yeah.
That doesn't help you're hearing.
Yeah.
So those are great.
And they have a good battery life.
What are they called?
Razor.
I think their razor makes them.
And highly recommended.
Yeah, those are good.
Whistle.
So earthquakes, especially if you're on the West Coast.
Like, I would have one around my neck, you know, like, I would, like, by your bed, stuff like that.
You know, even I was just seeing, so you got floods and landslach.
A whistle, you see all these stories.
Remember the scout camp in Texas got washed away from the flood?
Yep.
If those kids had a whistle with them, blown away.
whistle up in the tree. Exactly. And I bring all those little ones to Prepper Camp. I mean,
yeah, you did. I'm restocked. Trust me. I'm bringing in. But they're not expensive guys.
And you can buy ones that make a lot of noise and aren't a big deal to carry around.
You look like the boating section of any sporting goods store and they have those orange ones that are really loud for like boating.
emergencies yeah and these ones are like tiny you know they're just small ones you have
they're good keychain one exactly or to wear around your neck um have next to the bed after all
these stories of these people that are just trapped in the debris and you know waiting for somebody to
help them if you had a whistle you you know you can just literally oh who on that thing you know
I would be.
Yeah.
Also, life vass is not something that we normally think about.
Great idea to have on hand,
especially if you're in any kind of an area that you think might have flooding.
You should definitely have one on.
You know what else in that same mantra is a helmet.
Either like a hockey helmet or a bike helmet or, you know,
skateboard.
whatever you got because you get caught up in a in a floodwaters you know you're going to be
bombed in the head or something else or earthquake as well um that was one i've been re listening to
my podcast yeah the earthquake ever since we did the uh the 10 the 10 show the 10 year show and that was
one of the things in the very first episode that survival mom talked about was having a helmet
nearby for that type of thing i was like yeah why not put a hold on if you got one put it on
your head yeah i got hockey helmet ski helmets like stuff everywhere yeah so why not i was already like
you know if we have to work during the apocalypse i'm getting out my hockey gear i'm putting like
some of the spikes on the shoulders and all that yeah call you mad acts i'll be state far i'll be
working my job you know working it out in my mad max gear yeah i don't know if i should say
yeah don't give sarah hug you'll get entailed yeah yeah so um of course your food supplies guys
come on this is basics um go to prepare with changing earth dot com they got the 72 hour kids
you get a deal you help to show out um um um um some of the food you know do your research
some of it is just loaded with sodium you're going to have to drink so much water so like do your
research um oxen farms things you can get as a single product is pretty cool you know you can just
get dehydrated butter dehydrated peanut butter you know instead of having to do like a meal deal
but the meal deals are great too yeah granny pam had that book on like how to cook with all the
dehydrated foods and whatnot.
Yeah, they got some really great stuff.
So water, I know it's a pain to store, and it's just a pain to store.
It gets dirty and dusty.
You have to find a spot for it and containers leak or whatever, but come on, this is essentials.
The waterfall system, my waterfall system that I got is still working great.
It's water full, F-U-L-L.
it's like 30 gallon it might be more but it's a big tank that you can put out behind your house
by your spicket and then your hose runs through it's constantly giving you fresh water refill there
so that's a great system for to have potable water on hand um the Alexa pure water filter yeah that's what
I'm going to always lean to uh not only is it a great filter on a toe
own but you can turn it into like a homemade system if you had to yeah we've got the big countertop
one and then we've got the smaller picture that goes in the fridge too um the water bottles even
the the water bottles are squeezing yeah so you can squeeze the water through the filter you
don't have to suck it is what i'm saying like if you get stressed out you can just take your water
model and squeeze it and get hydrated and stress relief well um you don't
don't want to eat spit soup okay a lot of the filters like the survival straws and that you
can't get water out of them unless you pull it through with your mouth and then you have to spit it out
right but if you can squeeze the water bottle it's going to put it right through so elixapier's
water bottles they are squeezable yeah i need to look at those they're pretty good okay
inspecting maintaining your home this is where you were keying in big time
so let's go through some of the stuff there um yeah your furnace hasn't been running all summer
the time you figure out that it doesn't want to run is not when you need it right so um go through
all your filters stuff like that switch it over turn on the heat make sure it's not going to start
fire uh firewood having firewood stocked always good
That's what we were doing today was building the woodshed, because it's a season.
It's funny, a couple of years ago, some guy that does, like, tree removal and stuff,
he, like, gave me, like, a trailer full of logs.
And he keeps asking me, do you need some more?
Do you need some more?
I'm like, dude, I have so many down trees on my property right now.
Oh, for me.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So you do want to wait, like, at least one season.
yeah because we were burning way too much greenwood one time yeah and we had a double-walled chimney
you know the double wall double wall on it yep and it was still weeping down the uh the inside
like whatever it was giving off right was still weeping down the inside increase yes thank you um
so that's when we learned our lesson like uh you need seasoned wood we didn't have an option we needed
to stay warm and that was it that's all we had and we didn't have money for anything else so
that's just how it goes right but uh yeah we did learn our lesson that time to like okay um let's
prioritize trees and figure out during this time of the year well it's coming into fall kind of nice
but we're not desperate for it figure out what trees we're using and get that ready to roll
instead of having to go out on the side of the mountain side and pouring rain and the freezing
cold and try and get wood, right?
Just be ready ahead of time.
It's going to go a long way.
Shoring your house up.
Some of us don't get a lot of rain during the summer,
except for this year was pretty moist, I think,
across the whole country.
Even California was kind of moist.
But still, you know, going around,
making sure seals are good.
Sometimes sunshine hits your seals during the summer.
It can cause a lot of problems there.
And if we have any kind of flooding,
one of the things I was very happy that I wasn't correct about
was this summer was moist and cool kind of up north.
And we got a little warm for a while there.
But we did not have the wildfire outbreak that I thought we were going to have
like in the Midwest area.
And I thought we were going to have.
We had some wildfires run around here with the spring.
So we were all nervous.
Yeah. And we had a lot of material come down over the winter last winter. So I was really concerned. But didn't see that. So I mean, that's great. I'm not going to complain at all. Your CO2 detectors, those kind of things. Of course, if you have backup generators, check those out. Make sure everything's running good. This is the time when you're going to need them.
insulation things like that sandbags if you think you're going to need them better to have them
ahead of time and not need them then need them and not have them um they're doing some really neat
things with flood protection now some of these systems that they have like you can put it around
your whole house and it's like a blow-up system that blows i mean if you can afford it man go for
it you know authors don't make that much though so
I don't eat it where I'm at either, God willing.
It's going to have to be pretty big to affect me.
Storms for the plywood, plywood for wind events.
The windows, yeah.
Yeah. Hurricanes, I mean, tornadoes, stuff like that.
Tornadoes are kind of quick.
It either hits you and it doesn't kind of deal.
But like hurricanes, you can definitely prep up for that.
Big wind events.
know they're coming ahead of time but yeah the generator it probably hasn't been running all
summer so you probably want to give that a good once over uh get all the cobwebs out of it and
everything like that you got more oh yeah changed fuel you got more tips and tricks in there
the smoke alarm you didn't call that it's the CO2 so I had the smoke alarm and the other thing is
On all your preps and kits and stuff, you might want to go through and switch over to cold weather supplies and clothing as opposed to warm weather supplies.
So more socks, thicker socks, sweaters, some jackets, gloves, gloves, not just work gloves, but thicker.
So, you know, just we had done a show on this before where we talked about having seasonal kits where, you know, you'd have a winter kit and
summer kit or whatever so you might want to go through your stuff and make sure that the clothes are
temperature appropriate for the season we're heading into no that's legit i try to keep like a minimal
amount because i just never know like if i'm going to take that bag and walk out of my house forever
um i'm going to need to have it with me you know for eventually right you know the layered system
yeah but um for sure you're going to be colder so you're going to want things
like too long underwear right if you could have multiple layers of clothes is going to be better
than in the summer when you're not really worried about that kind of thing um oh one of the things
they said was you know have a stock of hand warmers and things like that was like oh that's a great
idea when i was in michigan they make it for your shoes too yeah yeah you can pack them in
everywhere these days yeah in the back of your jacket everything so though that was a great idea
and the solar blankets.
You know, we get them, I don't know,
if you've ever bought like a generic 72-hour kit or whatever.
Sometimes those kits are really nice to, you pick,
it's like a grab bag, right?
And then the rest of stuff, whatever.
But you're like, half of that stuff is really nice.
And I probably couldn't buy it all individually
for what they have it in the pack, right?
So I've done that before.
And the solar blankets, it's just, I don't know.
for me it's just not something that i um put as much faith into you but man if you need it in the
winter time also if you're in a wildfire area they have the fire blankets now too that you can
climb into and they work they do work so we're far they make them for the house too we've fire blankets
in both for our bedstand nightstands right you never know might might be that have you seen
the uh the bed that like folds in and yeah earthquake oh no man i was like no way my bed's just
going to eat me one night and i'm going into a tomb if no how are you supposed to open that
thing up and everything falls on it yeah who's going to hear your whistle then i don't know i'm like
i don't know i don't know um it's like i swear sir went to bed last night i don't see your
right she just zipped in there i was like oh um batteries lanterns that kind of stuff oil if you have
oil lamps make sure you have oil it's super cheap on uh amazon these days i couldn't find it anywhere
besides ordering it online really that lamp oil yeah we've got a lot of lamps we got a lot of
lamps i've seen it oh maybe you like those tractor supply i
kind of places. I've seen it someplace.
Yeah. I was like, this is crazy.
They should have it more, but I guess people
are getting away from it.
Everybody's doing the solar and battery power
to lamps, so they're getting away from the
fire. The crank ones are cool.
That's crap.
I had one I liked.
I don't have kids, so I have to crank it
myself. That's why.
If you wanted to keep it going,
good grip strength.
I'm working on that right.
now. So one of the other things I was talking about was for your vehicle and I knew Chin would love this
one. Oh man. So your vehicle is really important. You know, this is the time of year when a lot of
batteries go dead, cracks that you haven't got fixed in your windshield start to crawl because of the
hot cold, hot cold, and a freeze. I've had lots of. I've had lots of
of trucks where we were burning antifree so much we had them just loaded with water instead of
antifreeze and then I would go up into Tahoe I froze my whole engine block one time yeah
would you pull the head gasket or something no it blew out the plugs um there's like little
plugs in there to protect it from getting seriously damaged if it were to freeze so I think
they're called freeze plugs huh I don't know I'm not the engine gals
that's yeah I know basics I taught myself basics so I wouldn't be a retard when I walked into I'm sorry if you know but when I walked into an auto place or whatever yeah you didn't want to get swindle yeah yeah because oh here comes a female no you know what I did I changed the terminals on my um the battery wires the cables oh my tractor oh my gosh that thing starts like this now ran way better yeah one of the
terminals was cracked and I didn't know it and I couldn't get it off. I thought I had bad
battery so I couldn't get it off. So I had to cut it off and then and I had to get new terminals
to put on the end of the cables. And new terminals made such a big difference. Yeah. And what an easy fix.
And a lot of people don't ever think about that. I know we don't. We've been working tractors for a long
time. And it starts, you know, the diesel tractors are tough to start sometimes, but it starts so much better
now yeah good call uh chains stuff like that uh some states allow it some states don't but you know what
if you're stuck or you need to get out of a tight spot put those damn things on and worry about it later
yeah sometimes it's better to ask for forgiveness and permission yeah and they're better to have
than not have so chains i was i told you about driving up on spring break one year i drove
Denver down to
or
Phoenix, Arizona. Oh, yeah.
And got caught in a blizzard and Flagstaff.
Yeah. Yes.
And we pulled it to the hotel and they're like,
how'd you get here? The road's closed. I'm like,
where it was open when I came through.
But that would have been a good time to have chains in the car.
Yeah. I didn't. Absolutely. Stupid college kid.
Right. Right.
It would have a perfect time.
The first time we drove to Texas.
I was thinking, you know,
we're going to Texas.
It was like deserts down there, right?
Yeah, we get down there, and it's all blizzard and everything.
I was like, oh, shoot, I didn't even know this happened.
I don't even think I had a sweatshirt.
I had to buy a sweatshirt because I was that dumb coming down.
Yeah.
The girl from Michigan.
I know, right?
In Michigan, you got to carry like three outfits all the time because the weather is always changing.
So, yeah.
that was my bad so advanced car kit chainsaw okay oh yeah chainsaw shovel fuel we learned that we learned that
it was funny i was just talk with you know ken golf cart ken yeah i was talk with him yesterday
i was like we need to pack chainsaws this year yep i've already told brock too i'm like we're
not going anywhere without the chainsaw anymore what brock didn't like use my hand saw
yeah we had our hand saws from our go bags too yeah right yeah and that's why i had two folding
hand saws that stay in my truck all the time and um we had a hatchet uh yeah ellen had bought a hatchet
i don't know if you can't get those in australia or what but ellen had bought a hatchet and
uh morgan jb's significant other yeah he was an animal
he this was like it was like this big
this tree I'm not even kidding
and he took it in like 20 minutes man
just bam bam bam bam bam bam damn done I'm like
all right that's impressive that's impressive
there was one that we couldn't get through
and we would not have been able to get through it
without somebody coming up with a chainsaw
so again chainsaw even if it's a small blade
I need a box through my chainsaw
I actually bought a nice nicer
I was just thinking the same thing.
I need a carry box, so when it's in the back of the car, it's not going to all, the bar oil and everything.
And then if we put it in the back of the truck, then you're worried about when you stop, is somebody going to steal it or whatever?
I was just thinking the same thing, like where in the trailer could we kind of secure it that it wouldn't be a big mess.
Yeah, my trailer doesn't have a whole bunch of those like under storage things.
so I don't have those lockers
outside lockers so
we have a big one in our trailer
but of course it's full of books
but we have a lot of storage inside as well
they built
they built a lot of storage
the previous owners actually added
oh they did yeah which was really nice
so yeah
okay the
so we kind of went through that
your house your your auto
started thinking about the
list and just make a list we have a whiteboard in the garage so like as mom thinks the things
right right on board put it on the white board and then the boys go i'm bored i say well you're not now
you're not now because i can help you out with that board a whole list of things that need to be done
yeah and then we also have like our lows list um you know things that maybe are obscure that we
to get and we don't think about all the time.
I just put it on the whiteboard.
No, it's not the whiteboard.
It's the anti-bordom board.
That's right.
Grandma always had her silver spoons, you know.
So.
They always had to get polished.
Yeah, exactly.
You never told Grandma you were bored or else you're polishing all that silver for days.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You're like, I'm sorry, Grandma.
okay um create your family communication evacuation plan guys see now there's some good stuff right
there yeah absolutely essential um you've got to know how to everybody has busy days
everybody's going in different directions uh you've got to know how to centralize and then
if that centralized place becomes compromised what's your secondary location so really really
important stuff. I've got tons of shows on doing your family communication plan. So I'm not going
to jump into it too deep. There's even really good info from like FEMA and stuff like that.
I mean, if you want to go. The FEMA really has some decent lists and stuff. They do. They do.
I mean, it's not rocket science here. I mean, it's not, you know. I like to use the FEMA sites
when I'm dealing with people that aren't like totally in line.
Kind of in the know.
Because it's like here's the government site and they kind of take it easier.
It's easier for them to digest than me sending them to whatever prep or camp site, whatever.
And here's eight other like obscure locations for you to go check out.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Here, read this novel about a girl stuck in a wine cellar.
Yeah.
my first book is a great intro book a lot of people have been like holy crumb i never even
thought about that i should probably have some basics on hand probably yeah rifle through everybody's
purses to get the lighter and yeah the smokes okay um research and monitor local and global
hazard so guys um you got to have noa radio that is just the tip of the iceberg hit chin up he will
immerse you and communication you don't have to have a license to buy a ham radio or one of these
other scanner and listen listen listen all you want you don't need a license to go to amazon and order
that crap or go into a store and buy it also for like how bad it is watch um what's the waffle
house. Waffle houses will not close unless it's like really bad. Yeah. And if for like national
events, um, if you watch the amount of pizzas ordered and D.C. Oh, you saw that. I did. Yeah. That's
some crazy stuff right there. Like man, you need to quit ordering pizzas. Like, and they,
they went to all the different pizza plate. It wasn't just like one pizza. You could see the spike in all the
pizza places around town especially dominoes though that was yeah you know there's stuff crossed oh man
get out of town all right i'm not endorsed by dominoes and anyway i don't even really like pizza that
much um your important documents i can't say this enough like they need to be i could literally
go to my file cabinet right now and grab my folder for you and pull it
out and be like here's my important documents um that got to be in one spot it's got to be easy
to grab that is the last thing you want to be thinking about when you're worried about losing your
house or your family or anything like that is oh my gosh i have to find my birth certificate
what you know my marriage license uh the titles for my vehicles what's my insurance information
you know some people don't even know like who their agent is that kind of thing right policy
number time no i deal with them all the time so um yeah it's really important that you have your
your just at least your old documents like obviously your birth certificate's not going to go bad
your passport um i think does go as an expiration aid on it yeah it does um but it's still
yeah form iD exactly even if it's expired it would still suffice yeah your marriage certificate's
never going to go out the title for your vehicles
They are such, you know, you're going to have to pay the DMV or whatever, all this money, just to get a new title.
Oh, is it stolen?
Blah, blah, blah, you know, when you could just grab it and go.
So, of course, I'm going to harp on that a little bit.
And then staying informed.
The other key piece, guys, you cannot carry a go-back.
You cannot do any of this physical stuff if you are just,
on the sofa all the time
or in front of a computer
researching the stuff all the time
you have to exercise
you have to
like you you have to
if you've ever exercised
you know that you get sore
if once you start getting stronger
you don't get as sore and everything
you can do more
and the endurance training is where it's at
you don't have to become a power lifter
or anything like that I would actually
not recommend that at all.
Body weight is all you need and you do multiple reps and you do a lot of them because
you're looking at endurance.
How long can you go for?
How long can you carry that for?
How much can you carry?
Yes, but how long can you carry it for and how long is going to be a lot bigger factor.
As you get older, you start to lose balance.
You start to lose nighttime vision.
Both of those happen.
you're in big trouble if you're out in the woods and stuff you know you got to have balance
when you can't see as well especially grip strength starts to go that's what I'm working on
you know you've got to stay on it so if you can't carry your go bag and you really really like
okay I've loaded up my go bag now it weighs 60 pounds you know and you've never put a backpack on
that weighs that much and walked a mile
that's going to be one heck of a learning curve so you've got to got to got to exercise in some form
it just has to be done everybody everybody type i don't care what's going on uh long-term illness or
whatever i get it ask your doctor make sure it's safe whatever but if you can't do exercise today
surviving tomorrow are probably not as great and unfortunately that's the curve we've got self-defense
training absolutely essential so essential right now there's so much going on and you just don't know
when these types of events are going to affect you the amount of adrenaline that hits you when you're
in a self-defense situation is going to give you that fight-flight or
freeze.
I watched a video
just the other day of a woman that
turned and ran, the guy
grabbed her by her hair and drug her
across the whole parking lot.
You can get scalped
from that kind of stuff.
You can't turn and run.
I mean, unless you're a sprinter, unless you've been
running a lot lately.
You know, it's just not a smart move.
And you can't freeze because then
you're done. You're in a secondary location.
You have to fight. And you have to
know how to do that.
You have to know effective skills that are going to defeat your opponent.
And most of the time, most of the time, anybody who trains a fighting style, those are not
the people out taking advantage of other people because you learn a respect with that skill.
Right.
So the good news is most of the time they don't have the skills to defend you as long as you
no defense. And as soon as they see that you're able to do that, typically they're going to back off
and be like, I don't want to play with this hornet's nest. Right? There's other easier targets out there.
So I'm going to harp it forever. Man, I don't want to see anybody in PBN community or in the
changing earth community get taken advantage of for a second. I don't want to see anybody become a
victim. There's no need for it. You just, you got to learn to fight.
You just have to.
I don't care how girly girl, how young, how old.
We've got a lady in our crav class who's 65 years old just starting.
And one of Coach Trey's favorite students, you know, one of the best students, he started when he was 65.
He's 75 now.
And he's like as fit as a teenager and will rip your head off.
There's also like a lot of really great skills that you can learn to do as somebody
who doesn't have as much strength or things like that.
The thing is you've got to get involved,
you got to get out there,
and you got to start learning them.
Because the threats are real today in this world.
And from what I've seen only in our country.
In our country, right.
Yeah.
And only getting more prevalent.
Yeah, you can carry a gun.
Great.
And yeah, you can shoot somebody, okay?
but the repercussions that happen within our law after that incident happens your life is never
going to be the same the other problem is there's so many gun-free zones right so many gun-free
zones yeah where you can't always carry in and out of certain areas yeah yeah so um you know
even with self-defense like i say jiu-jitsu like 90% of what you learn in jiu-jitsu is actually a
felony um which is crazy so there's ways of properly defending yourself as well but you've got to have
the strength you've got to be in shape and you have to just know what to do you have to just have
those skills and it takes time this isn't something that you can push a magic button and be like
oh information assimilated i'm ready to go it doesn't work there's not there's not a version of
AI for self-defense?
No.
I don't know.
Maybe Grock's teaching it nowadays.
The Grock AI defense class.
But yeah, it's really, really, really essential right now.
Very important.
Also, tactical training.
So, yeah, everybody thinks firearm, right?
That's the first thing you're thinking about.
But this builds operational skills for if you,
you have to evacuate, right? How to move as a team, how to work together, how to stay fluid,
navigational skills. What if your GPS is not working? You know, we're talking about solar
events and things like that that could take it out. What if your GPS is not working? Do you know
how to read a compass, right? So do you know how to administer first aid under stress? You know,
there was a there's a big plume of smoke across the valley from my house on the on the opposite ridge
so i called the non-emergency fire department line i said hey you know is it did anybody call this in
or did anybody and they said can you give me some landmarks so i gave him a compass reading
i said well from my address it's this bearing they didn't know what to do with it i used a compass right
there. Did they know what to do with it? Yeah. And they actually had a forest, the forest
whatever guy came over. Very cool. Went there, found it, went there, and just made sure it was
okay. And these are law skills. Like a lot of people don't even know how to read a map in the
Forestry Department. You know? So I mean, it's really important. The class that we did in Vegas
with um oh yeah that big one with dale yeah with dale uh yeah duff duff uh Brian yeah
Brian Duff did the um the the uh bleed stop the bleed a stop the bleed class did he have like
trauma involved and like yeah yeah yeah stress stress seduce so we like we went through our first
initial ones but then like later they were all stress test and like before we
we were even allowed to come out there you're hearing like boom boom like all these explosions
and things going off yeah smoking when you come in stuff work for that training center out
there yeah yeah the north american yeah something north of north i forget any so it's there's a lot
equipment you can buy it was crazy cool so if you ever get the opportunity to do a stop the bleed
class that has like that aspect of it going on and you
know duff was way worse on us because he like dale and everything oh he gave dale so much crap
like dale's trying to do his rap and stuff he's like come on dale go on he's going to get
like in his ear i was like oh my gosh like boot camp yeah yeah because you know that brian did a bunch of
that so uh okay so for now for you advanced preppers it's going to be it's going to be a long show
tonight um the deep audit of your gear okay so it's not enough just to have stuff once you get to
this elite preparedness person right you have to actually know how that stuff works and not just
have it in a bag how all your tent works how all your gear works you know everything is it worth
having it in your bag yeah a lot of quality over quantity yeah you know if it doesn't serve like two
purposes then probably get rid of it you don't need that weight because you're up against like
how much weight am i going to carry and that's not even including like any of the tactical stuff
as far as like ammunition and weapons systems and all that yeah so that's what's on the weight
quick yes yeah last i'll say it again and again my favorite
is the Hollywood movies where they're like,
I've got the ammo and they pick up the duffel bag.
Like, yeah, right.
Yeah, right.
That is so heavy.
Once you're to this elitist stage,
diversifying your food supply.
So we're not just storing, you know,
our long-term food supplies and buying two at the store,
but you're actually learning how to do, you know,
pressure canning.
fermenting, collecting heirloom seeds,
learning how to seed from your own plants.
That's what I've been doing a lot of,
is like letting those cucumbers get overripe
because those are the ones that grew good
so we can grow those next year
and really diving into the wild forageables
of your area, what you could eat,
you know, to supplement, like I said earlier,
a lot of those long-term food supplies
can have a lot of sodium and whatnot.
So you're going to want to supplement that off.
so that's kind of like the advanced
if you're like oh this is a boring list
I'm way past that well here you go
level up
we've always got more
upgrade your off grid
power solutions right
so going into
the modular solar systems
if you're by water using the hydro
getting stuff like that set up
simulate extreme scenarios
so lights out guys you know let's let's simulate a 24 hour blackout period how would our family do
what do we need to stock up on what we have enough of what didn't we have enough of those kind of
things and then monitoring earth changes uh it's kind of I don't think it's talked about enough
in media and whatnot of what's going on on our planet right now we're definitely going through
the polar shift it's definitely affecting the manic shielding of our planet and just our planet's ability
I mean we're just in an exciting it's going to be an exciting time to be alive no matter what you
how you want to look at that so staying on top of that social I don't know how much I I always think
like if you were on a beach in the middle of Tahiti would you care about
what's going on now you got to care about what's going on because it's going to affect you right
but also I'm not so sure that we should be so easily swayed as far as like oh cracker barrels
doing this and yeah it's it's getting stuck in the quagmire of it right yeah so instead of
just monitoring it the whole they really waste your time yes and there's so many other things
things you can be doing with that time in that mental headspace, right?
Getting all fired up about news events and, you know, cracker barrel and the lady who's
arguing over a ball, you know, I mean, that was classic, but, okay, pay attention to the big
things, the important things, what's going to affect us, where do we really need to throw
our time and our energy in
to make sure that
we're not being invaded. Watch for trends.
Yeah. You know, trending stuff.
If people are all starting
get crazy at sporting events and concerts,
well, that's something to watch for.
Yeah. You know, that crazy lady going
after the baseball, does
it really affect your life? Right?
Maybe not. That's what I was like.
All right. Well, whatever.
All right.
Let's go ahead. I've got
actually click here.
get another change in earth news and i know we're running over guys i'm sorry but this is what
happens we have all this stuff to throw in just one month well if you average it by the month
right we're just covering all these multiple days and one of all these multiple weeks and one day
right here we go you're listening to p bn your path back to stability
I'm quite concerned about what's coming next.
Personally, I think we'll probably see food shortages and other disruptions.

news okay so the big news last month
when we did our episode was that the Kamcheca earthquake had just happened.
The 8.8.
Wow.
I don't know.
I watched them upgrade.
That's neither here nor there.
But that was the big news, right?
So there was a tsunami that hit Japan.
There was one person that died in that event.
Two million people were evacuated because they were really, really scared.
It was going to be a much bigger event than that.
500,000 people in northern Russia were evacuated.
I didn't realize there was that many people living on the Camcheca Peninsula.
You know, I was thinking like Siberia, right?
Like, I don't know how many people are living over there, but I guess there's a bunch.
Injuries, you know, some basics.
It wasn't really a big event, not like as huge as what they were really, really concerned about.
So, but then Chris, I'm going to just.
slaughter this name just so you know christianivnikov erupted um the third to the fifth that one has
been dormant for 600 thousand six hundred years just 600 not thousand um had another eight
pointer there big ash plumes so that was pretty exciting we don't normally see that wait
till you see the volcano numbers crazy times we're in
um it's it's not so uh fourth the fifth there was flash flooding in india uh it was the uter
now you get to guys watch you guys get to watch me struggle with these uter kakhan
area of there and uh they had 11 deaths from this event so over a dozen people missing big flooding
event um these are just happening more and more across our planet
So that's why we really and really need to stay flooding prepped.
It damaged mostly subsistence farmlands.
Not a lot of livestock was destroyed or anything like that.
It was a lot of urban flooding.
So again, it was people that were affected.
Hundreds of people were displaced by this event.
On August 9th, hail storms hit Central United States.
12 states were affected by this, 943 cities.
The hail was less.
an inch big so we like to see that um but it did do some significant crop damage to corn
soybeans and wheat hopefully um because man it's like harvest time right about now for these
crops so hopefully it wasn't too bad too bad but it was 5,000 acres of farmland affected um livestock
not as affected as bad as the actual farmland and all that August 11th there was a 6.1
earthquake that hit Western Turkey. This was kind of the precursor to what's been going on over
there in Afghanistan. It was about 200 miles away. Unfortunately, one person did lose their life
in that event. It was an 81-year-old who died in a collapsed building. There was 29 injuries
and about 1,100 search and rescue missions were conducted during that event. No real impact
to crops or livestock.
Then on August 14th to 16th, there was more flooding in Pakistan.
These are the monsoonal rains that are coming through there.
There was a big landslide that happened over there as well.
But about 4,000 homes were damaged.
674 schools were damaged.
So this is some major infrastructure damage that went on over there.
344 deaths so this is you know they get monsoons every year i'm going to say if you're losing this
much of your infrastructure homes lives this is some unusual eventing going on 209 people missing
over a thousand people were injured and thousands of people were displaced then on august 16th there
was a 6.0 earthquake in indonesia that's a pretty big one even for indonesia they get a lot of
earthquakes because of their volcanic islands makes sense but um two right two people died in that
incident 44 were injured 89 people were evacuated and then there was some significant structural
damage that happened august 21st to september 7th the island creek fire in western idaho kicked off
it was started on the 21st fueled by hot dry conditions it reached 20,000 acres
by September 7th.
It was one of,
we haven't, like I said,
the wildfire has been pretty good.
So it was one of the biggest
in the United States this year.
No impact on lives, though.
500 residents were evacuated.
A thousand acres of like range land,
you know, just for cattle and whatnot,
was impacted.
But the livestock were okay.
Everybody was good.
I mean, as far as big fires goes, it's a pretty good scenario.
August 21st to September 7th, just worsening drought here
in the northeast and mid-Atlantic United States.
So it looks like the upper corner over there
just hasn't been getting as much activity.
It's just a moderate drought, so we'll just keep our eye on that.
It's affecting mostly like Maine, New York,
which is surprising because they were having some mega flooding in the spring.
but they've had some hot weather up there
that's why I was concerned about the wildfires up there
August 22nd 2025 there was a 7.5 earthquake
this one happened offshore in between
South America and Antarctica so not you know no loss of life
going on just a big hit to our planet it'll definitely
swirl around our planet August 22nd 2025
the glacial lake outburst flood
I thought this was kind of interesting.
Happened in Pakistan.
And it is from a glacial lake that is flooding the area because of the monsoons.
It destroyed 600 houses and killed 18 people.
Thousands of people were displaced.
And this is where we saw those great big landslides that were taking people out as well.
Scary stuff.
I'm all for the whistles now.
I'm going to have a whistle like everywhere
because it makes sense, right?
I mean, why not?
I would be more apt to look
if somebody was blowing a whistle
than if a car alarm went off.
Yeah, you're so...
Right?
Car alarms are...
Desensitized.
Especially in like suburban and urban areas.
Uh-huh. There, they're going off all the time.
Losses to high altitude farming.
So this is interesting.
This is where they grow like apricots
and wheat over there.
So they saw a lot of damage to those crops.
August 24th, the September 7th, the Kingston fire happened in Canada.
It's Newfoundland and Labrador.
It began August 4th, August 24th grew to 9,500 hectares or 23,475 acres.
It was just dry conditions that started it and fueled it.
2,000 residents were displaced, but no loss of life.
They did have a significant impact to berry farming
and small-scale livestock operations because of the amount of smoke.
August 26th to September 7th,
Punjab in Pakistan, they were hit by flooding.
At least 56 deaths since August 26,
123 total in Punjab for the August over 800 nationwide for the 2025 floods so these are big events
guys that are happening we just watch it happen to our country and then it just rolls into the
other side over two million people affected 760,000 people evacuated 516,000 animals evacuated
20 plus million people rescued and relocated.
That is crazy amounts of numbers.
That is moving some people.
Biggest crops, it really hit their bread basket over there.
148,000 hectares.
It's like double that for acres.
We're submerged.
And this is rice, sugar cane, corn, cotton, vegetables.
This would be like California kind of getting wiped out
by massive floodlands through the whole growing area
or like the Mississippi Valley taking it.
This is a big deal.
So it caused rice prices to go up about 50 to 70% over there.
Cotton losses, over 5,500 livestock drowned,
405,000 people evacuated.
The Philippines and East China Sea were hit by a cyclone Bavi, and they saw two injuries,
10,000 people evacuated.
It's really been a minor year.
There was rice crops that were damaged over there.
And then August 28th, Shin Modake eruption in Japan.
It was a big, big, big volcanic eruption.
No fatalities or injuries, though.
just ashfall affecting local farmland
mostly like sweet potatoes, tea, and livestock.
August 28th of September 3rd,
monsoonal floods in India,
they're getting ahead with it.
At least 33 people died there.
350,000 plus affected.
1,400 villages were inundated with water.
We definitely have to be on the lookout
for this rising flooding situation.
140,000 acres of farm.
land submerged these are paddy crops so like rice things like that um they probably do a fair amount
of shrimp farming over there i'd assume as well um Indonesia volcano eruption minor ashfall no fatalities
that happened on august 29th august 31st was that 6.0 in afghanistan i don't know if you
guys heard about that but at least over 1100 people dead in that event they have a lot of those
paddy cake buildings that don't do well and that was a very shallow earthquake so it um it was felt
really really far away 2,938 injuries due to that event 12,000 people uh affected or displaced
so it's it's a lot of deaths for um actually the few amount of people.
people it's affecting right we have some that that affect hundreds of thousands and we don't see
that many deaths so that's that's a tragic event right there um just exposure to problems happening
in agricultural land because of that event as well because it was felt so so wide far and wide
um september 2nd to 3rd there was a severe windstorm tornado event in the upper midwest in the
United States. It was thunderstorms, 60 to 80 mile an hour, and three EF 1 to 2 tornadoes
touching down across Minnesota. No fatalities, thank the Lord due to that event. 12 injuries
from debris, over 5,000 households lost power. That's really tiny up there. Thousand people
displaced because of the wind damage. It did damage corn, soybean fields, about 10,000 acres
affected and then also 200 cattle and livestock, poultry, chicken farms, things like that affected.
September 2nd to 7th, there was the lightning complex fires. Lightning this time of year
in California is really bad. It's not what you want to see. This happened in the Calaveras
and Stanislaus counties. Lightning strikes grew, gosh, I was trying to, they gave a
number 6,500 California fires burning and 425,000 acres on fire right now.
I just really hope it doesn't go to any of the occupied areas that it just keeps burning
woodlands because we don't need to lose any more homes in California this year.
500 residents have been evacuated though and then grazing lands and orchards affected.
have a lot of orchards over there for almonds and nuts and things like that.
California, the land of fruits and nuts.
It is.
September 3rd, very large hail event in central Kansas.
This is hail up to three inches in diameter.
So that's one you want a helmet on your head when you're going out into that.
Yeah.
We had one of those down here.
It wasn't that big.
it was just like quarter size and I was scared I was like I want to put something on my
had to go out there I just never know um five minor injuries from the hail 2,000 properties
damage so this is hail coming through windows things like that 500 residents displaced impacts
on agriculture and livestock wheat and corn this like I say where they're coming up into harvest
time so it's not the time you want hail to hit all your crops not a good idea 15,000 acres affected
um no injuries to livestock that kind of thing September 5th to 7th Hurricane Carlotta
impacted Mexico it reached a category two strength 100-pound hour winds and made landfall near
Puerto Vallarta heavy rains caused flooding there was four deaths two from the flooding two from
falling trees, 37 people injured in that event, over 15,000 people were evacuated,
2,000 homes were damaged.
They see a lot of flooding and things.
Part of a yarta, the sidewalks are like three feet above the road to allow for the flooding
and make it so you can still walk through the town.
Yeah, you don't want to like, if it's a big crowd, you can literally fall off the edge of
the sidewalk.
So you have to be careful.
the roads become canals
yes exactly
to allow for the flooding and whatnot
and allow people to still have their businesses
and other people to still walk around
you can't drive in it obviously
but yeah so that surprises me
it shows that it's just a big
inundation of water
when you're seeing it start to have that kind of effect
um September 6
hailstorm in Massachusetts
Maryland New Hampshire
Hampshire, less than an inch big, 12 reports logged of the hails coming in, no fatalities
are injured, lots of window damage, that kind of thing, probably vehicles.
Again, harvest season, so we're talking corn, apples, vegetables affected, 2,000 acres affected.
Early snow event happened, which is crazy.
Northern Rockies gets hit with snow.
and this was up in Idaho
and we were talking about at the beginning of August
the fires that were up there
and now they're having snow up there
so that's kind of nice
hopefully they get some more precipitation coming down
then on September 7th there was a 4.9 earthquake
this was in northwest Turkey
it occurred late September 7th
depths unspecified
this is really kind of a breaking news on that one
I do have to tell you that usually I
research the
earthquakes that are 4.0 or bigger
there was so many I had to increase it up to
a 5.0 or bigger
because there was that many that happened
so that's a little crazy
we had a total of
20,608 earthquakes
that were 2.0 or bigger
in the month of August
that's up from
20,000
530 in July so not a big uptick there only like 70 years out but June was only 18,881 so you can see the
overall trend is continuing to uptick and that is definitely the same with our volcano numbers
guys I can't tell you I've been watching these numbers for so long so many years and it used to be like
wow 27 you know 27 on the list
that is just incredible um 27 erupting i can't believe it kind of thing then we're like
29 then went to 30 we have one major eruption going on right now luatobi and indonesia
um 42 volcanoes erupting on our planet right now 42 that is it's just crazy i mean i've just watched it for so long
I've just never seen that amount, that uptick ever.
So I'm blown away.
Not only that, but back that up like, okay,
so maybe all of them that were just in like the lower levels before just up there.
No, 42 erupting, 42 showing minor activity right now.
Campy Flagray is still on the list.
Pele is still on the list.
Campi flagray is a super volcano that's over in Italy.
Um, and Pele is a volcano that's down in South America.
I watch Pele because the Edgar Casey prophecy, he said like one of Vesuvius and
Pele are erupting at the same time.
Nevada better watch out.
So I always keep like, uh, that's always in the back of my mind as I'm looking at things.
Can't be flagray though, super volcano.
It's been making more noise.
Um, it has calmed down again recently.
But, um, that is the one that you don't want to see erupt.
That's like a yellow stone with no natural venting going on.
So we don't want to see that.
There's also 23 volcanoes showing unrest right now.
So total on the list, which was like we've never been above 100 till, you know, the beginning of this year.
And now we're at 108 total on the list.
We're going to start cooling down.
Our planet's going to start cooling down.
You can't have all these, this volcanic activity.
spewing ashen of the air
and not expect that
we're not going to see a cool down
and honestly
this year has been one of
the most comfortable years that I've
spent in Texas during the summer
it was like 80 today
it's been rainy all year
it's been really nice so I'm not going to complain
trust me
but that's some interesting
stuff going on with our planet I think
it's still worth keeping an eye on
I think that the west coast of the United States still should be on pretty high alert as far as seeing volcanic activity over there, seeing more earthquake activity over there.
There's been such a large amount of severe movement and volcanic activity on the ring of fire that comes around to the United States and really just stops.
and yeah you get like little tremors and stuff they had a little tremor in LA you know but not we're not
talking six points we're not talking the big ones like we're seeing in other areas of the ring of fire
that that energy has to go somewhere and what I'm most afraid of is that it's just locking up
and then when it does finally go it's going to be pretty severe so I would definitely still
be on high alert if I was on the West Coast right now until I saw at least a couple of,
you know, good 5.0s, something like that, that really shows that the stress that is building
in that area is being released because it's definitely getting locked in there, which is our
worst nightmare. So make sure you have your whistles. Make sure you're listening and you're
preparing for all the earthquake activities. If you're anywhere around like Mount Rainier,
and hood and um god what's the one that erupted in the 80s i just had it on the tip of my tongue
um come on now oh yeah at west yeah um come on helen yeah uh
is it is it Mount St. Helens
St. Helens yeah um i knew her when she was just you know before she was yeah before she was
sated.
Yeah.
So I would just be on high alert if I was up in those areas.
We're, like I say, it's going to be a fun time.
I would definitely, you know, the backbone of your preparedness is you.
And your physical preparation of you.
So get on it.
Join some martial arts classes.
I'll see you on the mat.
I got a cool video, actually, that I did of all my martial arts training,
so I'll have to share that sometime with everybody.
We'll put it on the air or something.
It's a couple minutes long.
If everybody's interested in that, just let me know, guys.
All righty.
Well, that is the Changing Earth News,
and getting you're ready for National Preparedness Month,
started out with a bang.
Hope to see you all at PreparCamp.
I can't wait to see you at PreparCant Chen.
We're there.
Yeah, we're going to be hanging.
Brad Skissmas, five times August.
He's going to be back.
I try to get Joe Rogan to come out, you know.
But we'll see.
I'm not putting my eggs in that basket,
but that sure would be cool if he did.
Oh, my goodness.
Right?
I was like, come on, Joe.
Have you ever heard of Preper Camp?
Come on.
come on out so yeah um and then if you guys are driving anywhere out of like the texas area and
that i always like to caravan up you know strength and numbers it's easier to to hang out or not
you know stay safe along the way so if you're driving out from this area a lot of people fly
i just can't i got all the books and everything you know too much gear too much yeah that's your
excuse. Yeah, I hate flying. I know. I hate flying. I'll probably be on a plane in November.
Maybe. I'm going into L.A. for some stuff. So, yeah. But, uh, yeah. All right, guys,
well, thank you so much for joining us live. Oh, Firewar Forge. Come on. You're just coming in at the last
