Good day, folks, back, one day rested.
Little, little, still a little raspy, I guess.
PreparCamp 2025 in the books.
What a day.
What a collection of days.
This is the PreparCamp.
2025 recap by myself. We may do a roundtable recap, too. I'm just realizing now.
Today's title slaying demons and saving souls. Okay. Slaying demons and saving souls. And we'll talk about that.
A lot in this. But I did forget before I went live. Yesterday I was real. Right? Today, it might be the same thing.
So suffice to say, we might not go for a super long time.
But there's a lot to cover, a lot to talk about for a three-day weekend for the public, four-day weekend, sometimes five-day weekend for the prepping community.
I hear a lot about things, you know, I hear a lot about events.
I hear a lot about the events I should go to from other people and the things that they do differently than prepper camp and all that kind of stuff.
And right up front, what everybody has to understand about this personally for me is prepping.
Camp is the one time a year where I and the hosts and listeners and so forth all come together in one place.
You know, so the fact that it is the biggest and the best outdoor prepping show, prepping homesteading, prepping homesteading, tactics, information, no show, right?
anywhere in the world almost comes second to be honest to me personally right like it's awesome
and what we do and what we pull off there every year is awesome um but you got to understand
well many of the host this year kind of dubbed it the family reunion i think either dave jones
or the phoenix dubbed it kind of uh the family reunion first and that's really what it is
for us you know so it's that first it became a way of
for me to get into the prepping community back in 2018 or whenever I went to the first one.
But after that, it became the family reunion, and that's what it is.
It's the PBN family reunion.
Firewolf Forge, welcome, be safe on the road.
The Phoenix is with us.
The Phoenix, let's give a round of applause to the Phoenix and her other half.
What they pulled off this weekend was they built the home.
they fundamentally built the home for preper cam for pbn that's what they did they they set up two tents
tables a bunch of other fun and uh also that we could convene in one place together comfortably
happily and and j ferg you guys knocked it out of the park you know you created that home base
for us and that was the hq for sure you're
tent all put together by you guys painstakingly put up and taken down and i hope chris wasn't out
too late dealing with all uh with my gigantic enormous gift from faraday containers to you guys
with that i think you both appreciated and hated in equal parts right um yeah maybe we'll talk
about that later i don't know uh you guys did it you guys gave us a home this year
Prepper Camp 2025 and that was that was huge you know I think it was Saturday night yes
Saturday night it was it was huge it was everything um so yeah we were all coming together
all doing our thing at Prepper Camp like no one else right at L2 survive welcome to the show
also he says I'll be at the Panhandle Preparedness Expo October 4th through the 5th in
sandpoint Idaho for you Pacific Northwesterners okay
Sandpoint, Idaho.
We might run into Ryan Buford up there.
Never know.
If you want to see pictures of various things right now early,
like if you really want to see them really bad early,
follow Phoenix Survival over at Instagram, okay?
Because she put up the first batch of stuff that I saw from anyone.
She's got great pictures up there already of the event.
So follow her over Instagram, Phoenix Survival.
and let's talk about the weekend.
That's what I want to do today.
No ShtF chef, no inside the cash, none of that kind.
If you're here for that stuff and you're not here for PreparCamp talk,
To-Doo, you might not want to stick around because this is what we're going to do.
I got stuff, great stuff from the people I love who, and some of it's got stories,
some of it's just amazing.
I've got a binder here from the Phoenix.
that everybody in the audience should buy and own and share and buy several wrap them up for
like if you want a Christmas gift for your family that speaks to preparedness
I'm talking brothers sisters aunts, uncles mom dad whatever you know what I mean the people
in your life who are watching news going like and but they also don't want to hear from you
about like you need to store the rice and you need to get the gun like this thing right here
Well, this emergency binder next to me that I'm going to show you is, I mean, head and shoulders better than my own personal emergency binder, right?
And thank you, J. Ferg.
So, why don't we start there?
Why don't we start with kind of, pulling up, pulling up 6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
What expression?
Oh, that one was just for you anyway, so perfect.
I knew that would make you laugh.
Anyway, pooling up to PreparCamp 2025, it's like kind of gloomy the whole ride.
You know, for me, it's like a six-hour ride.
So it gets about after four hours, I kind of get antsy, you know.
I'm pretty well programmed for four hours on the road about that.
I get kind of, you know what I mean?
But I pool up, park the car, and it starts raining, and then boom, thunder goes off, right?
And that was like a really good start.
for me. I was like, oh, okay. There it is. It's like the gun at the race, right? We're off.
How do we want to go about this? I want to simultaneously promote the things I have that are
promotable and also talk about the gifts that I got because, yeah, well, let's talk about the
amazing chin who did a mesh-tastic class that he was kind enough to give us access to
the what's it called the slides he gave us access to the slides we're going to get those slides
on the membership side oh today is the last day by the way if you've been waiting waiting
okay today is the last day to get the membership discount membership discount membership discount
membership discount and he's going to give us the slides to his mesh-tastic course which was amazing
Like, if you want somebody to teach you about radios and mesh-tastic, there's no better guy.
He's peak-interested.
He's peak-informed.
You know what I mean?
The passion is peak.
He's doing it all the time.
He's using it on his homestead.
Like, this is it.
You know what I mean?
This is the top of the top.
And he also said you want to DM through signal.
I don't know how exactly, but this is what he said this morning for anybody who wants to DM through signal.
He'll talk to them too.
So maybe get in touch with me if you have questions about the slides.
Sign up for membership, man.
These things happen all the time.
Okay?
They happen all the time.
Sign up for membership.
Take advantage of that.
But anyway, he comes up to me and gives me one of the most intrepid commander gifts that you could give me, really.
This thing, I haven't read it all naturally because it's huge.
It's, what are the, 600 pages probably?
Yeah, 600 pages.
I haven't read it all.
This book right here has the potential to rival the Victorian poets.
I don't know.
I wrote a whole book off of some of those Victorian poets.
So I don't know.
But I think the collection overall, well, I know for a fact,
the collection of poets in this book overall is definitely, definitely bigger.
So it's called Immortal Poems of the English Language.
And he's got a few heavy hitters, right?
T.S. Eliot, William Shakespeare, Walt.
Whitman. I'm going to tell you the ones that I like. Robert,
uh, Robert Frost, I always quote his one poem, but I don't read a lot of them.
Keats, awesome. Uh, Tennyson, awesome. But it's got, it's got everybody, man. It's got so
many people in here. I don't even know half of them. Emerson.
Edgar Allen Poe has several entries.
Anyway, I love it because he picked it up, like at a thrift show.
shop it's used it's somebody's loved it right somebody took a bite out of it or i might have ripped
that off by accident in travel but it's just man come on 600 pages 600 pages and of course
dante gabriel rosetti's in there right the one and only so chin thank you so much chin
also gave me uh what is that i think it's up there in front you can barely see it but up there in front
of uh how do i do this again up there in front of the book poems for men i don't have the big light on
in the back up in front of there is the guts of five mesh-tastic nodes okay and uh so oh j ferg your book is
so good you're going to love that thing i mean when i got that thing like you were just top of mind
It was like, I'm going to give this to J. Ferg for sure.
This is so good.
Anyway, it just combines so many of your worlds.
You know what I mean?
Anyhow.
So we got the guts for five mesh-tastic nodes.
We've got the 3D printer.
I think what we're going to do or what we're going to try to do.
I don't know if we could do it.
We could do it.
I don't know how quickly we'll be able to do it.
But I think what we're going to try to do is make some mesh-tastic nodes with the PBN logo on them.
and start
selling the PBN
mesh testic node
basically
why not
you know what I mean
we got Chin who's who's
you know
sort of the antenna of it all
Jay Ferg has really been
she's even teach classes about it
and she's kind of taken ownership of that too
and it just seems like one of those things
so we shall see
we shall see there's a little bit
of blender technology that I'm not
too familiar with but luckily the guy
who sits to the left of me at work
he's at school today
but the guy in the cubicle to the left
he's got a good handle on that stuff
he might be able to help me get it in there
and who knows maybe that becomes part of his deal
so
the Joneses
the Jones is rolled up we got to give a round of applause
to the Joneses who largely catered
the Prepper Broadcasting Network event
or the Prepper Broadcasting Network angle
of the event right we rolled up
there we had the uh they know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who might distill
alcohol that might have been flavored with elderberries and blueberries and that kind of stuff
it might have been something like moonshine maybe um and that was a bottle of that on the table
and there were the incredible romanian hot pockets and if you ever come to prepper camp you'll
probably see a romanian hot pocket in your travels and then there was another
dessert that started with a pea that was like a glazed sweet bread with raisins in it and
i think it was fed of cheese right and it was tremendous it was just great and throughout the
weekend maria would come over hand us a plate you lift the plate and this is giant hunks of
breads and meats and delicious you know what i mean and it was what yeah it was wonderful um but
they had a table full of homemade tinctures and creams and all this kind of stuff and
look for it in the future.
The problem is, the problem right now is, I can't remember what the name was.
That's my fault.
And it's not on any of the bottles.
So she hands me this one, the wild lettuce tincture, right?
I don't know how many of you know about wild lettuce, but it is like a nature's pain reliever, morphine-esque in when it's prepared appropriately.
Now, she came and was looking out for me, and she said it'll help you sleep.
You do a, you know, you do one, what's this?
What's this squeezy thing?
Full under the tongue before you go to sleep and it'll help you sleep.
And then she says, but don't do any more than one, because if you do two or three, you might hallucinate.
So then I'm getting it.
Then I'm getting excited.
I'm like, well, I do got to wake up for coffee in the morning, so I better not spend too much time hallucinating.
But I look, I didn't even open it.
I didn't even open it.
And the reason I didn't open it is because I didn't trust my, no, I'm just kidding.
The reason I didn't open it is because Prepper Camp's exhausting.
Preper Camp's exhausting.
It's usually topped off with like.
maybe a little whiskey at the end of the night, you know what I mean?
So it's one of those things where you're like, I get in the tent and, you know, it's over.
It's a wrap for me.
But she also had this cool stuff.
It's called Pearl Eye Serum.
And it is literally extract of Pearl and numerous other things.
Really cool.
Really cool stuff.
And she said like the main use for it is that it can heal like glaucoma.
look i gave them a big book of apothecary book that with pictures and all the kinds of stuff i don't know
how much of it she knows and doesn't know but i'll tell you this much she had more tinctures and
creams on that table than i've ever seen anywhere like and and this stuff is made you you roll up
to the jones stead and it's the densest world of homesteading i've ever been to you know i mean you
think homesteads sometimes you think like these wide open spaces and over yonder we have
our pond and down yonder we have our herb garden and this kind of thing like these guys are
i guess it's probably like the military efficiency of dave jones combined with the homesteading
and the and the uh what is it um the the concentration camp like pace that is kept there right
Those things combined sort of have created this, like, the most dense homestead I've ever been to.
Like, everywhere you turn, there is wild herbs, planted herbs, plants, raised beds, animals, pigeons.
What the, you know what I mean?
Everywhere there's a thing.
And I think a lot of that has to do with sort of, so long story short, this stuff is either foraged right there or grown right there and then processed by Marie.
and turned into the real thing.
And I think the only thing that they're probably missing
is like the educational course on how to do all this stuff
because then they could really probably mop up on that.
So, yeah.
Then, of course, and look, I'll do a whole review of this beautiful thing here.
I'll do a whole review of the emergency binder
over the top view.
We'll take the camera, we'll put it up,
and then we will go page,
by page there's a couple pages in here though that i want to show you that i was looking at and
said i think i might need i think i'm a little lacking on that this is not one of them but this
is one of my favorite pages just a simple emergency supplies kind of checklist for you but it on
the back end of it which is really sweet and thoughtful is this guy so then you fill out those
things that are not on the other side.
This emergency plan for safe places is one of the best.
This is one of the best.
This is what, if you could do one thing this week, like if you're coming from a position
of unprepared, or even if you're, you are prepared to some degree, but you feel like
these are the things you worry about, emergency communications and so on.
um these emergent these safe places and emergency meeting places this is like an exponential
increase in preparedness right here don't worry j ferg i'm not going to show the whole thing off
so everybody steals it but you see what i'm talking about just filling these five things out right
here man you're in good shape you're in real good shape now all of a sudden it's something
something crazy happens. We got important documentations list, something to keep you on track
with your emergency fund. It's a great book. In your heart of hearts, sit down and say to
yourself, like, am I going to put together a legitimate emergency binder that my family is going
to be able to read and understand? See, I wrote up some emergency plans with some shared
responsibilities and that kind of stuff, but they came from...
It's just not that easy to understand.
There's directions and things like that.
Firewall forges a mess.
So anyway, yeah, that's the deal.
That's the deal.
J. Ferg, where are they for sale?
Or do they get...
Well, just reach out to me or Phoenix Survival,
and we'll get one in your hands because they're awesome.
Jay Ferg got, I mean, she gave me too much stuff, to be honest with you.
I don't even want to go over at all, but God bless you, and it was a great weekend.
What's the best, Phoenix Survival at ProtonMail.com, proton.me?
What is it?
You got to understand, like, I press the P button in Gmail and you come right up.
You know what I mean?
Well, actually, I don't even email you because.
you're on my signal chat and I can just contact you right away.
She gave me this amazing book holder here.
It was for recipe books, but I turned it into like the book to showcase the books.
Phoenix dash survival at proton.me.
Phoenix dash survival at proton.
Dot me.
Get the emergency binder.
And like I said, it's early.
You want to get Christmas wrapped up.
You might think that it's not that good a gift like you want to get somebody something colorful and flashy and silly.
In their heart of hearts, your family wants this.
They're not going to tell you.
But nobody's going to call you up and say, dude, what I really want for Christmas is an emergency binder.
But I'm telling you right now, you show up, plus they're big, too.
Isn't it fun to get a big-ass gift?
Like, these things are big.
So you get them, you wrap them up, you hand them out at work gifts and whatever.
And I'm telling you, people are going to look at it.
The state of affairs in this nation has changed and the state of people's minds has changed.
they know it's crazy out there they know it's crazy out you give them something like that see
they don't even know where to get something like that you got to remember most people have no
idea that something like that even exists leave through that thing one time and they're going to
go oh my god it's amazing it's incredible it's perfect especially if you got people in your family
who are like they're never going to listen to b bn they're never going to watch preppers on
youtube and all that kind of stuff right i'm telling you
uh j ferg says the incognito version oh yeah that's sweet yeah so she's also built these guys out
in really cool binders that don't say emergency binder on the front you know what i mean
really cool designs fun designs too um i'll probably be kicking myself forever for not getting
that one before i left with the with the unicorn pugs on it half the audience just you know i
like that guy up until the unicorn pug comment um and trapper keepers too she's gonna put a build
them out and trapper keepers awesome awesome i think we had about the best stuff i really do
i think we had prepper cam 2025 i think our group had about the best stuff the stone pot
looked pretty cool the floating body armor was cool um but really i think this year the only
thing that was what seemed in short order was like real survival gear you know what i mean real like like a place to go
get good knives axes pouches that kind of stuff right we see typically dave jones takes care of that
but they adjusted to like the medicinal side they had a little bit of that stuff but it was kind of yes
usually we have a bunch of knife guys we have a bunch of gear guys don't get me wrong the vendors
were great we had the canning diva to the left of us she was phenomenal the canning diva could be
could be a like a closet pbn host to be honest with you she's she fit right in with our group
she fit right in um and the classes man the classes mine went over really well i was happy about that
I'm going to do it for the members.
Well, I'll just do it sort of.
Actually, I might do it live with you guys.
I might do my class live because the input for my class almost made up about 25% of the class.
So it's probably worth doing together.
I did my class for Volcanas, one of our lifetime members, Prepper Group, even before Preper Camp.
But the classes, man, amazing.
The Canning Diva showed up.
and she jumped right into another class she had a class somebody dropped out she you know rick came
up to her ask if she could boom she jumped right in classic pbn style by the way right that's like so pbn
i remember one year dave jones had three classes crazy um i want to talk about kerry alsner
oh yeah i want to talk about kerry alzner for a minute i had him on the speaker series so if you're
watching this on YouTube, go to the playlist PBM speaker, or PreperCamp speaker series,
and look for the CQB training costs, okay?
Kerry was, I walked in on two of Kerry's classes.
I didn't watch the whole classes, right?
He had a guerrilla warfare class, which, God, I hope he does that next year, because I want
to definitely watch that whole thing.
I was, I was stuck in that thing right before my own class.
And then he did Urban Break Contact class.
And these are classes where the content is awesome, but the presenter is essential.
You know what I mean?
Like his mindset in the world and his background and his take on it all was just top notch.
You know what I mean?
He was, you know, like Dave Jones, Dave Jones, J. Ferg, they teach these classes.
Like fibers for survival and homesteading is, it is.
there's one person for that class and it's the phoenix you know what i mean and and and same
with the nuclear biological and chemical class there's one person for that class dave jones
when you listen to carrie do guerrilla warfare and and you know urban break contact you
realize like this is the guy for this class you know lifetime of experience in the real
shit and in the real uh training world teaching all these things
and it's just it's one of those things man you watch them and you go like oh man
man, I want to watch this class a couple times.
He was phenomenal talking about how to fight from a vehicle, get out of the vehicle, while fighting, get away from the vehicle, get people away from, you know, the whole thing.
And it was just in a moment like this, it was really, really timely.
And the, I mean, I, here's the, I even blushed in the guerrilla warfare class.
Like I walked right up on the guerrilla warfare class.
And Kerry was talking about the limits and no limits to guerrilla warfare in a way that made me like double take.
Like, I was like, what?
It was great.
It really was amazing class.
Like anybody who made it to the urban warfare class got, or yeah, the guerrilla warfare class, they got something special.
And just tremendous classes throughout, man.
I'm looking over our list of, list of speakers.
We had drones flying around, guy teaching drones.
Of course, we had our amazing Joel Riles with the canines.
Herbal medicine class was awesome.
Survivor Jane is always good if you're ever thinking like you want to be a posh homesteader.
You've got to go to Survivor.
Trapping class.
I didn't go to this year.
I really wanted to, but I didn't.
The mesh-tastic class with Chin was probably one of the best.
Oh, Jonathan Glouzer's mushroom.
From forging class, phenomenal.
Sarah Hathaway, of course, her classes are always good.
She does avoiding abduction in my body, my weapon, two essentials.
So, where do we go next?
So, yeah, so Saturday, well, let's rewind, okay.
something happened at preber camp that i probably should have said at the beginning of the show
but it's you know it's between me and him more than anything right i didn't mention this
for for the purpose that i didn't want to seem theatric in any way okay and you can ask j ferg
in the chat you can anybody who was there nobody knew about this this was a thing that i was
trying to do kind not necessarily on the down low but i had an insecurity about it becoming this
spectacle all right i reached out to rick early in the year and i said uh you guys know like
2025 right 2025 particularly that's been a very maybe the most important year of my life like
i said maybe the hardship and and you know not just the hardship but also when the reinforcements
arrived during the hardship from my hosts and listeners like it's been an amazing year it's been
probably the most important year my life like i said just just feeling the whole world around me
and seeing like oh like it's been a rough year but then it then here come uh the reinforcements like
i don't know it was that was an amazing sort of thing but i reached out because i knew
I think about the end of last year to the beginning of 2025.
I knew for a fact, really after I baptized my nephew, Leo, no, Luca.
After I baptized, he's going to be forever Leo in my head.
But after we went to his baptism, right, my second newest nephew, I pretty much knew leaving
the church that day that I was going to get baptized.
Didn't know when, but I kind of knew, right?
it was it was that thing i'd never been baptized but i knew at that moment it was like just being there
you know the whole thing just was like come on like what what are you doing um so i reached out to
rick and i told i knew that you always had dr rex is there every year and and he does his thing
with the sermons on on sunday and i was like you know there's churches and there's you know places
and just factoring in all the different things
and how it would go and how it could go.
And I said, you know what, man, to me,
I think that lake at Orchard Lake Campground
that I stand behind and have some of the best times of my life
was the best people in my life, right?
You know, outside of legitimate blood family,
I think that's the place.
Right? Those are the people. That's the place. And it just became this sort of thing where it was like, yeah, that was the decision. So now I had to reach out to Rick and say, Rick, can we do that? Don't tell anybody. Don't put it on the flyer. This is not a thing. You know what I mean? I don't want it to be an event. This is just at some point, maybe Sunday, whatever it is, sneak on off and do this thing and, you know, make it, make it a reality.
Go to the point of no return in terms of my commitment to God, right?
That's really what it was.
Get my ass in heaven with the rest of my family because that's what they always are worried about, you know,
because everybody in the house and the family are all baptized.
And they're like, Dad, what are you doing?
You know?
So suffice it to say, I talked to Rex, Saturday rolls around.
He put it on a white board at the event, and he did that,
because he well this is what he told me he did that because he said you know sometimes these
things have a way of compelling others and actually it did it wound up catching the eye of one
other guy who showed up for the baptism too and uh just so you know because this is prepper camp
so the priest priest is that the right name the priest fundamentally he uh hold on we'll get the camera
I don't know what happened there.
The priest's name was Rex, okay?
And the, uh...
Hey, what happened?
Oh, I wonder if my camera died.
Oh, that won't be good.
That could have happened.
So the, uh, the priest's name was Rex, and the guy who...
The guy who baptized me's name was hot sauce.
Just to give you an idea.
They were both great guys.
I mean, phenomenal guys, really, amazing.
And it was an honor, you know, to meet them and to hang with them.
And I could talk about kind of what happened with that whole situation a bunch of times over.
But I don't know, you know, it was an amazing little time.
We get out to the water.
It's very, you know, all the PBN family had to eventually find out, right?
all the hosts had to eventually find out because it was like James is going to be going away from his
booth for a while, you know. And I guess really at the end of the day, it was just, I don't know.
Truth be told, I was just real insecure about talking about it, you know?
Thank you.
not really sure i'm not too sure what happened there we uh had some technical difficulties
I think a camera got mad at me or something
Anyhow
If we can't do it with
We'll just put the pretty background on the back
We'll put the pretty
Prepare the Homeland background in the back
If we can't get the camera to work
But suffice it to say
Well maybe I was supposed to be quiet
About this whole thing, right?
Start talking about it
I start talking about it and the whole thing goes dead
it very well could be that sort of situation now you know what i think having i think my camera
because it was out all weekend died on me fair enough works for me i'm good i don't need to be seen
any way to pool this thing so long story short here i am standing in the lake hot sauce
asking me the questions i'm looking up there's a bunch of people there right bunch of people
there but the most important people there are the hathaways jade ferg and her crew the joneses
and uh it it was wild man it was absolutely crazy to be dunked in the living waters and to come out
baptized and to have it done at the prepper camp you know and my son's sixth grade teacher was there
and her awesome husband too which was really interesting little ripple in it all um god only knows what
those people think of me. I don't know. I'm a weird guy, man. But anyway, so what the punchline in
all this, first of all, you know, everybody out there who has kept me on track, everybody
out there who is kind of guiding, and this is many of you out there listening also.
This is not just PBM hosts. I'm talking the Stephen Men, Kings of the world. I'm talking
and all the people who, you know, talk to me on a regular basis about faith or even with faith.
See, what you don't understand, maybe you don't understand or maybe you do understand,
but what you really need to understand is evangelizing is not always about, hey, you need to come to Christ.
For me, for a guy like me, I don't like authority.
I don't want anybody pushing me in a direction.
You know what I mean? The moment you start pushing me in a direction, I want to do the opposite.
But what I can't deny is when someone comes to me and you see that the faith is just woven into their life.
It's woven into their emails. It's woven into their conversations, right? And you know, you see it.
You know, it's the whole, buy their fruits. You will know them.
And all those people over all these years, you know, that's what got me there.
got me standing in that lake you know now i'll give the credit the overall credit to lady liberty
because she was the one who's put up with me and and never faltered for so many two decades
you know what i mean and she got me at my most heathiness like she if there's not a special
seed in heaven for that woman then there ain't for anybody but she really did she really got me at my
worst, my most cynical, my most terrible, and held on to me while simultaneously like holding
under her own faith and that, I'd never got to you guys, if not for her. I'd have never been
able to receive all that you put out if it wasn't for her. I'd have just been, you know, latched
onto some girl like me back then and, you know, off to off to the flames of hell we would have
road so what i want to tell you about that is sort of the miracle that was that was along with it right
fire will forge no warhammer games are only going to get better dude yeah yeah they're only
going to get better there's a faction in warhammer called the gray knights and they're sort of like
special operations and all they do is kill demons so i think uh i think they'll be great to be
honestly i pull up to prepper cam remember nobody knows okay by design i pull up the prepper
camp as i mentioned at the head of the show thunder clap rains falling all right this thing has
begun it's time to unload set the 10 up you know get ready it's thursday people will be here
Friday morning they'll be ready for coffee so Sarah Sarah buzzes me she says
where are you at we want to you know we want to see you whatever she said we got
something for you too on top of it and I'm like okay cool great looking forward to
it I
Now I can show you, which is really good.
Let me zoom in real quick on the video.
Because this is hard to believe, frankly.
They come running up to me in the car.
It was heard Christian.
And they got something like covered up hidden from the rain, right?
And they hand me this cross, man.
Now remember, they don't know, right?
They don't know.
Nobody knows.
And what this cross says is crazy.
It's absolutely crazy.
I know.
I don't want to tell him.
I'm going to tell him when the timing is right.
You know what I mean?
So they hand me this cross and it says,
God blesses the man who does his job with dignity,
treats his friends with loyalty,
lives his life with honesty
and loves his family wholeheartedly.
And I'm standing there in the rain,
reading it, staring at this thing like,
holy macro.
You know what I mean?
Like, wow.
to pull up, you're at Prebercamp, you're at the place where you decided, or maybe you did.
My camera's dead, guys, that's all there is to it.
Sorry. But you get, you know, you're getting to this place.
where you decided, or maybe you didn't decide,
maybe God decided ahead of time,
that you are going to,
you're going to get baptized here.
But you decided it months ago
and you didn't tell anybody.
And then all of a sudden,
here comes Sarah Hathaway,
who, you know, is basically, like,
she is basically your sister.
You know what I mean?
Like, really, at the end of the day.
And she hands you this thing.
And what's even more amazing about this cross, guys.
What's even more amazing about this cross is that she didn't pick it out.
One thing if Sarah, you know, we've had some conversations this year, Sarah and I about struggles and things like that.
One thing if she's walking through this store and sees it and goes, oh, this is James right here.
Brock, her husband Brock found it.
Her husband Brock found the cross out alone.
I know you guys don't know Brock.
Brock is a superhero.
I mean,
I've told you that from the time I met him.
And I don't mean Eddie Brock, okay?
But he's a superhero, man.
And he's not,
but he's not the type of guy who's out shopping for crosses for podcast hosts.
You know what I mean?
So something walked him to that cross.
And he saw it and he said,
oh, I got to get this thing.
I got to get this thing for James.
This is, this is what he needs.
so then that thing travels from Texas to North Carolina
and winds up in my hands
two days before I'm about to be baptized right there
and they had no idea about it
I mean you know
you could play around with coincidence if you want to
you know what I mean
sorry about that that's signal chat
you could play around with coincidence if you want to
I'm not going to
all right
I'm not going to do that anymore
Saturday night rolls around
We have the impossible
That was incredible
Okay
The baptism was amazing
Jay Ferg
Thank you so much for coming
Bringing your family
Sarah bringing your family
Dave Jones
Bring in your family Rex
Hot sauce for getting it done
Oh and by the way
So the two guys who planned on getting baptized
Get baptized by myself and one other fellow
I'm not going to mention anybody's names
and then this other guy comes up compelled hops in the water and then sarah's oldest son comes up boom hops in the water right after that
and you know the weight of it all was tremendous it was amazing really was and we carry on then we get stormed on
like crazy like immediately after the baptism i'm completely soaked coming out of the out of the lake
and it starts pouring down rain thunder lightning the whole nine yards so i just sit in it
I'm saying, well, with just no point doing anything.
Different.
Just stick with the soaked.
But eventually the storm passed, and the night gave way to the Saturday night festivities five times August, the whole thing.
And gave myself and Jay Ferg and the rest of the PBN hosts the impossible task of choosing the winner of the tinfoil hat contest.
And when I tell you how impossible that was.
you can't really understand it.
I mean, it's really kind of almost impossible for you to understand
without having been there.
I guess what I could do if it doesn't take...
No, I can't do it on the fly.
You can't understand the level of...
Well, the level of competition was so stiff
that we had to award four different prize winners.
Okay?
Like, that had to be...
That just had to be.
I wound up taking this Bravo kit.
You see this Bravo one-man kit on the video?
If you're not on video,
it's the Lima Tango Survival Bravo one-man kit, okay?
I think almost everything was in it.
Most things that you see were in.
I don't think the MRE was in there.
But I basically see, like,
usually we grab a couple things from each other's booth
and give it off to one person who wins.
Here you go.
Great job.
You made an amazing.
And usually there is one standout.
tinfoil hat that's like amazing right we start getting hit with these tinfoil hats pb and family
and it's like we got to give everyone something like everybody's got to get something crazy it took
us first second and third place and an honorable mention to give everybody what what what at the
bare minimum was deserved right a bare minimum j ferg even threw into the prize uh the prize pack i mean
It was crazy.
Like to meet the demand, we had, I'm trying to think here.
I'm almost tempted to go over and grab my phone so I can get into Instagram
so that I can go onto Phoenix Survival's Instagram to show you guys the pictures
because I think they are worthy of your attention.
but we had you know the first people that roll up have these amazing
some young kids who at one has an amazing Viking hat on
I mean we got to do it we got to do it hang on a minute
especially since we got the
the cameras gone we might as well get into the tin foil hat section of it all
I just I just need to have my cell phone for a verification code to get in the Instagram
nobody lets me into anything anymore
without like doing the six back flips
and two front flips and a side roll
you know what I mean
that's the only
it's the only way you get into anything anymore
so let me log in real quick
we'll go over to Phoenix Survivals
Instagram so that you guys know where to go to
follow her
and then
yeah what's this it
848 no here we go
365071
and then I'll share this with you guys
you'll be able to see them
so this Bravo One Man
that was an amazing kit
I've had this kit for a while
I brought it
to show it off
like I brought this kit literally
to show it off at the event
and then it was pretty clear like
you ain't showing jack off
buddy you are
you are pretty much just
giving this thing away to these incredible people is what you're going to do and that was it
now you know that was the deal that's what it all came down to so let's see what we got here
oh yeah okay we got all the goods j furg you're awesome thank you so much look if you see
this this kit here you like this kit this lemitango survival bravo go to lemitangosurvival
and uh get your hands on it man it's it's an amazing one-stop solution
everybody starts rolling in right everybody starts rolling in uh i mean tremendous right which the kids
show up i'll show you all the stuff let's share the screen real quick let's bring instagram up for
those of you in the um for those of you in the podcast only go to phoenix underscore survival right
Yeah, Phoenix underscore Survival at Instagram.
Check it out.
Oh, very cool, L2 Survive.
I'll check that out.
So our number one winner came from Jasmine Biondi, J.B.,
the one and only J.B.Andi.
We watched her build this thing out, and it was amazing.
Like, we watched her.
We sat down and we watched her take aluminum foil.
And over about a 30-minute period, molded into a drive.
Dragon. She literally molded it into Shenron from Dragon Ball Sea. It was like that.
We had to give her first place. She put eyes on it. She put mustache on it. I mean, it was, it blew us away. But it was very hard. It was very hard.
Because literally like the progenitor of the tinfoil hat contest showed up. And it was this lady here.
she showed up with this tinfoil hat it's kind of hard to see like can you see the flowers
the flower design on this thing was unbelievable this hat was amazing this was not a hat made
over top of a hat this was literally like created for the purposes there you go there's a great
shot of the flowers that she molded and unbelievable you know this was our this was our this
This was our third place winner right here, which is, I know, it's saying a lot, right?
You look at this thing and you say, this is third place.
Are you kidding me?
I mean, it's an incredible hat.
I mean, amazing.
Absolutely amazing.
So, and we had to do an honorable mention for this one because this, for those of you listening,
someone modeled aluminum foil into a COVID mask.
I mean, they modeled it perfectly into a COVID mask.
It was so amazing that it was like, it's not a hat, but it's so incredible.
We've got to give her something.
You know, we've got to give her something.
So suffice it to say that the tinfoil hat contest this year was it was next level.
You know, it was next level.
And the whole event was next level, in all honesty.
In all honesty, the whole thing was next level.
and it was uh you know the recap is important for the memories but really to recap is to tell you
that black friday will be here before you know it black friday will be here before you know it
and you will once again be sitting there hearing us yap about the prepper camp event and oh my god
these guys you know now is the time to start thinking of
about prepper camp 2026 it really is now is the time right you got plenty of time to think about
vacation plenty of time to save some money to get there i mean you don't even got to save that much
money to get there to be honest campsites are less than 100 bucks tickets are less than 100 bucks
for all three days right we'd love to see you we'd love to have you now is the time to wrap
your head around that and uh and really consider it you know we don't get any kickbacks
we're not looking to make money in terms of like ticket sales and that kind of stuff but really
for your sake you know to and and you know what maybe one of the biggest things maybe one of them
and these days it's more important than ever is to regain your confidence in massive amounts
of people regain your confidence in humanity at large you know 50% under under the tent on
Saturday. Rick Austin said, how many new prepper campers do we have? How many first years do we
have? And usually it's about, I don't know, 15 to 20 percent, something like that. We turned
around, we sit up front because we're loud and obnoxious and happy and excited. We turn around
and look out back, look behind us, and 50 percent damn near, 45 to 50 percent of the audience
was new. New people. That's incredible.
And here's the thing, all the new people, not a lot changed in terms of the quality of the event and the quality of the audiences.
Some things, Dave Jones mentioned it.
Some questions were very basic.
Some things were very basic.
The understanding of certain things you could tell was coming from a more sort of basic understanding of prepping.
You know, what's an EMP?
That kind of question Dave said came up, which is what we're there for.
Not typically the norm.
But what I'm getting at is we still, around that group, around that audience, like, you still feel like a million bucks.
You still feel like there's so much hope.
There's so many good people in this world.
There's so many good people doing good things.
Incredible.
That's PreparCamp, you know?
So come see us in 2026.
Put it on the calendar.
Last weekend in September.
Start making plans now.
And I guarantee you you'll roll out.
after those three days you'll have a whole new outlook on things that you need to do and want to do you'll have a whole new outlook on people
