sweating it's hot it's beautiful it's wonderful i feel great the breeze is blowing and uh you know it's
about 90 some degrees out this is this is this is this is my workout okay but my message to you is
is you don't do what i do unless you want to you do you do so many times people get wrapped up
around this idea that get a workout means go to the gym and then if you're
wind up not going to the gym because they got to drive there they got to change they got to get a
shower after they got to do x they got to do y they got they just want to go home it's been a long day
i don't want so then i didn't work out i tell the prepper fit and health members over at pbnfamily
dot com make a plan to work out every day but do what you want just write a list of the workouts that
you have always loved doing and the physical things that you always love doing right you want to
spend an hour in the woods foraging with a book and a foraging bag and time to look around.
It's a hot day. You'll cover some miles. You will feel great. And that is a workout.
You want to sit down. You had a long night. You don't want to work. Yeah, you want to sit down.
You want to stretch your back. You want to stretch your legs. You want to stretch your body out.
Just stretching for 30 minutes is a workout. It is. It takes your fitness to another level.
Look, I'm a crazy person, okay?
It's 95 degrees here in Richmond.
Humidity is like at the Amazon.
And I just got back from flipping a gigantic tire up and down a field, doing sit-ups, running the track, running to the, you know, running crazy.
Just crazy.
I'm a crazy person.
You know what I mean?
My wife is crazy.
We're crazy people.
You don't have to do the stuff that I do.
You can.
You can.
and if you do it will feel good. You'll feel good in many ways. You got to work up to it, though.
You know what I mean? I hurt my back flipping that tire. You got to be careful, you know, with what you're doing.
You can't come off the blocks like a maniac. But there's a lot that you can do. There's a lot of things that I, like, so I do that crazy stuff.
But I'll stretch. On days I don't feel like working out, I'll just do a stretch. Maybe I'll do yoga, right? Maybe I'll take a walk by myself in the woods.
Not even a power walk, just a walk in the woods. That's mental health.
That's physical fitness.
It doesn't have to be a knockdown, drag-out nightmare every day.
You get yourself a personal trainer.
What's going to happen?
You know they're going to beat you half to death and you're going to be sore for two,
three days after you're not going to want to work out.
Try to work out every day.
And if you fall short, you're still going to work out plenty.
But what's way more important is understanding the diversity of workouts
and redefining what a workout is to you.
right maybe going to a certain park and walking that park at night with your husband is a workout because guess
what it is a workout it shouldn't be your only workout but it is a workout maybe you like to ride your
bicycle right this is a workout maybe you just like to run nothing else maybe you like to lift
free weights do kettle bells maybe you're a weirdo who likes to box people in virtual reality
I know a guy this this is your fitness plan
You do what the hell you want.
Don't go on TikTok and Instagram and be like,
how did Arnold Schwarzenegger work out?
That's how I wouldn't work.
You know what I mean?
You do what you want to do.
That's the beauty of this life.
But do something, right?
Commit to doing something every day.
If you do something physical every day,
you know, there's a season for splitting wood.
I think splitting wood is a workout.
You get out in the sun, you split wood for a while,
you stack it, you move it, you put it in the wheelbarrow,
whatever you got to do.
that's a workout. I'm done. I worked out today. I feel great. Just get that physical activity. Try to get that physical activity every day. And the best way to do it, listen to me, is to build that repertoire of exercises that you really enjoy, right? That you really, that you can wake up and look at that list and say, today, I'm going to do X. I'll give you one of my secrets. It's called the 50. All right. And the 50 is very simple.
It's 50 reps of three different exercises, typically calisthenics, okay?
For example, you wake up, all right, today, I'm a little tired, I'm going to do the 50,
and that's what we're going to do for our workout.
We're going to do 50 push-ups.
We're going to do 50 sit-ups.
We're going to do 50 body squats, body weight squats.
You don't have to do them all at the same time.
You don't have to do 50 push-ups in one shot.
You can do two sets of 25.
You can do five sets of 10.
Whatever you've got to do.
Knock them out over time, and you're done.
Figure out what works for you, but don't do zero.
