I notice a lot are predisposed preppers. They're of the prepper mindset without ever even thinking about being preppers. Kind of what it is. Kind of what he was like. And he was fun, man. But he bought this enormous sweatshirt for my wife. Because we used to take him to Disney with us.

We used to third wheel him to Disney with us. And he liked it, to be honest. He liked it, to be honest. And what I mean by exposing everything is. Oh, I'm glad this I am very glad that I just happened upon this article because this is something that I wanted to talk to you guys about. It gives, it empowers the information too much. And he said the way that we take the power from the information is to give it out to the people. I don't know. I thought that was a cool take. But we'll have to see. You know what I mean? Who knows? There's a lot of platitudes and stuff going on right now that could wind up being just absolutely nothing. We'll have to wait and see. You know, so. There's an article from the economic collapseapseblog.com that is very interesting. I was thinking about how Trump had formed this team of popular people, whatever you want to call it. He had formed this team, and obviously it's worked for him. We'll see how it works in real time, but it's worked for him. It's worked for him. And I'm looking at the Democrat side of the ball, and they went from being this sort of entity of the future, the progressive entity, to now being like, who exists in that party that anybody would want to run anything? And that's not the nerve-wracking part.

But that's not what made me the most concerned. You know, what made me most concerned was thinking, all right, there's there's obviously horsepower for this movement. There's obviously a lot of money, you know, whatever you want to designate as the movement. right? The sort of like left-wing movement. And what got me nervous was starting to think about who are the masterminds, the leaders, the free thinkers, you know, the real horsepower behind this movement. So what that led me to think about, what that led me to believe is that we're dealing with people behind the scenes now. We're dealing with people who have decided the win ain't in the politics. The win is in something else. They lay the zone, says I don't have any one person in mind. So when an article comes out like this from the Economic Collapse blog, Trump nominees are targets of bomb threats as radical groups plan massive protests for Inauguration Day. This came out the 27th.

This is exactly what I'm worried about. This is exactly what I mean. In other words, you have a guy who's intelligent, who's smart, articulate. In other words, you have a guy who's intelligent, who's smart, articulate. He may believe in things that are absolutely insane, but he could articulate a message, push a movement forward. This type of person goes into politics, becomes a Democrat, runs against people like Trump and Vance and maybe has a chance, right? I think a lot of people have decided, you know, forget it. Let's do, we need, there's no time anymore for politics, and that's a scary thing, right? Multiple of, where's this from?

On Wednesday, it was being reported that multiple individuals that have been nominated for positions in Trump's cabinet have been targeted with violent threats. Where is this out of? Let's see. And to think that. If you if you told those tribal peoples, if you told people, probably even in the 14, 15 hundreds that one day we'll take the Muslims, we'll take the Christians, we'll take the Jews, we'll take the muslims we'll take the christians we'll take the jews we'll take the hindus we'll right we'll take them all and we're going to put them in this place where

you can do almost anything you want and on top of that you can own as many guns as you want and we're going to put them all in this same place together and they're going to thrive put them all in this same place together and they're going to thrive that's america take all the bullshit out of it take all the corruption and government out of it take all the things that everybody likes to say are bad about america what will happen in america tomorrow 100 is all these different people will wake up they'll take kids to school they'll take kids to school, they'll go off to work, maybe they'll stay home and take care of the house, go into the community, right? You found yourself in a situation where multiple cities and towns in your area were being affected by some sort of riots or destruction to some degree, hostile forces. What are you prepared to do and how long could you comfortably do whatever it is you're doing? In other words, you're going to bug out. You're going to leave the area. That's your game plan. And how long can you comfortably do that? Or perhaps you're in a position where you say, I'm going to stay put. I'm going to stay right where I'm at. How long can you comfortably bug in with what you have on hand right now? That's the question, right? That's what you want to figure out. That's what you want to address.

to be able to sit where I'm at for X amount of days. My goal is to be able to live off the food I have, live off the water I have, because the water doesn't have to turn off to be a problem. All that has to happen is you have news come across that we think something has been, amid all the chaos that has occurred. We think that something's been done to the water. Like how many announcements do you have to get before you decide we ain't drinking no more tap water? You know what I'm saying? Like how you don't got to get a lot of news reports saying we think the tap water might be affected. You may

want to boil the water you may want to avoid using and drinking a certain amount of water now you're done with the water so garden girl in chat says several months i think several months is a great number i think that a lot of things can happen in several months. I think a lot of things can blow over in several months. I think that's a great goal. On the lead up to the election, I was telling everyone three months, set up your three-month par level. Be in a position where you can stay where you're at for three months, whatever that looks like. You know what I mean mean if you're not going to work if you're not you know all that kind of stuff who are you why some people make names in instagram that are so long and it looks like they just slap their keyboard or just like mash the phone. Water is tough until it's not tough. That's the weird part about it hold on I need some water water is definitely tough until you figure out what makes sense once you get an understanding of what makes sense in terms of water

for you that's when it becomes kind of cake when you get to a situation where, okay, I've got space to store tap water in larger containers like water cubes, right? Or like water bricks. You know, I'll tell you something I used at Prepper Camp this, no, not this year, last year. Really great product. Really worth looking into. Five gallon water cubes by Wolverine Tough Bottles. Wolverine Tough Bottles, man, I'm telling you, like, if I had to do a bunch of them, how would I do it?

This is the question. So the bottle itself is great. It's great for moving water around. It comes with a spout on the side of it, right? Just turn it, boom, water comes out. The problem I'm running into right now is how would I efficiently stack sufficient water for my family if I had just those things. But then again, don't look for the singular answer to everything in preparedness. You know what I mean? Don't look for the singular solution. D-Zone says, either way you go, be ready for anything. However, my goal is to stay

strong and positive, stay safe. I've've been practicing preparing for things to pop off from food to water to straps i thought straps are illegal in dc d zone your secret safe with me buddy uh lord prep says walmart has three gallon and five gallon stackable water containers yeah like that right and those can be filled up with tap water. Until you establish it, like I said, until you build it or until you establish it or until you get it figured out, water can be one of those things that's really nerve wracking. My whole my whole sort of concept, my whole motto with preparedness is like multitudes of layers.

You know what I mean? So it's layers and layers of options. I just heard a log roll. I put like a big the fire is so good at the moment. I put a big the fire is so good at the moment i put a big log it was probably like a birch or something like that so i put that on the fire round uh bark on right on the fire before i

started i just heard it roll so i'm just checking to make sure it didn't roll onto the living room floor lord fairfax says i have two 20 gallon water barrels that i can load into the truck if we bug out very nice uh jerry cans the jerry cans are nice, easy. Fill them up with tap water if you got to go, right? But look for multitudes of solutions. Example, not everybody's going to have this, but I'm going to mention it because it's what it is, right? I have a creek outback, so that's an option, right? It's a year-round number so that's an option rain barrels rain water catchment however you want to do it that's another option right we have access to a well not on this

property but on another one right that's another option another thing do, which I don't love, I don't even use them hardly, but it's something that my wife likes, is we buy water bottles. And you know what? If we're ever in a situation, particularly a short-term emergency, one of the first things we're going to do is drink out of them water bottles. I mean, we do it already, but you know what I mean? The thing about the convenience of water bottles, if you're not like frozen in fear from microplastics, which you're never going to avoid anyway, but do you? One of the things about those is they're convenient and they're easy.

And in the short term, you know, they're cake. Hey, whoa, whoa, whoa. What the heck is going on? Sorry, I saw the NBC guy and I started. Hey, what's up, Southern Happy Me? Good to know. Oh, very good. Sorry, I stopped.

Five-gall gallon jugs is i mean sorry one gallon jugs is the way to go from a retail perspective like you want to read you want to stock up via retail five gallon or one gallon jugs is the way to go because you can pour it in a glass you can dump it in a pot for cooking right you can do all kinds of stuff out of a one gallon a 16 ounce water bottle is a real pain if you're cooking pasta you know what i mean um another thing that you can get at like sam's club and costco hold on like getting dried out in the back of my throat i don't know why

but another uh great option you can buy a pallet you can buy what are the what size are the water jugs that go in those water machines that get delivered and you tip upside down i have no idea what they're what the quantity is there what's up peak readiness thanks for joining us we're talking uh the many layers of water preparedness at the moment we're just having a preparedness survival hangout cooking whatever bushcraft foraging whatever you guys want to get into. It's like 20 degrees out. I'm all kind of cozy.

And it was essentially a month's worth of water for a family of four you did the calculations you look at the way the pallet set up how many per layer i don't remember i have the picture in my phone still but i sat there when i was at sam's club and i counted it out and i said look at that there's a a. water like i said is an option you know it you know what i don't store anymore is like water like survival water you know what's up made joey um water bags like water baggies never store them cans you know they'd be like emergency essentials made like these cool cam waters i have some but i did i got them like they i got them for free never something i buy you can buy cases of that stuff flats of it you know what i will i'm i've not added this to our preparedness but i'm going to specifically water preparedness um carbonated water i never liked it growing up i thought it was about the worst thing in the world and this summer i don't know why i i was hanging out with these libyan guys i was hanging out with these libyan guys at my favorite pizza shop in town

it's a wonderful place i can't mention the name of it on for opsec reasons right but it's a wonder and it's run by this libyan family that if you squint your eyes and turn your head a little bit, they're Italian. You know what I mean? They're like that. Actually, what I learned from them is that that's pretty common. It's pretty common for the people in Libya to spend a lot of time in Italy. They're right across the pond.

You know what I mean? They're very close by. The food sort of transfers a little bit. This is what they told me you know what i mean and i'm hanging out with those guys and you know they're really nice people they're really nice people they're really normal like fun you know what i mean i don't know what it is you know the other thing that they are really that makes them so cool first of all their pizza is the best around

so that's number one that's why we go but i chat up the sons and the dad all the time because they're honest they don't have the american uh shield of um perfect like they have no desire to be perfect you know and that is so nice dude like when you're having real conversation with a person and you realize like there's no show like this person is not putting a show on this person has no concern uh that like they're gonna say something that you might not like. So, yeah, one of the things that I will add undoubtedly, and I don't know the shelf life on it, I have no clue, it's probably not a big deal anyways, is carbonated water. I would prefer to do like a Perrier, you know what I mean, carbonated water. I tried one. It's the first one I had in a very long time. I really enjoyed it, man. Really, I really enjoyed it. It was nice. It was refreshing. It was good to know. Really, I really enjoyed it. It was nice. It was refreshing. It was good to know. It was good to get the cold and the refreshing water and to get the bubbles and to know that it wasn't like 46 grams of sugar in it. Don't get me wrong. I'll drink a Coca-Cola. I got no problem with it, but it was nice to know.

And it was refreshing. It was good, man. It was good. But like I said, think about all those layers now, right? We're from the water sources to the wells, to the tap water, to the rainwater, to the purchased water, to the, you know what I mean? And so on and so forth. And I didn't even, you know, you don't even get into like purification yet. Right? I say you should have at the very least two methods of water purification, water purifying filters that you can call on and that will do – and these water filters should be able to do large amounts of water. Dave says two years – Dave Jones, the NBC guy, says two years on the carbonated water. OK. So that's sort of my take on water filtration. Right. So in other words, you get your water from the creek or if you get your water from the rain barrels or if you get your water from somewhere where it's not where it has to go through some layers of sanitation. It has to go through some layers of sanitation. You want at least two means to really filter that water in a large batch. You don't want to depend on a water filter that does anything less than a gallon. I'll tell you what's on the rise, by the way guys what's on the rise yeah i do have the james river very close by as well dave jones that is true um the rise of electronic pumps is happening in other words like when i first got into preparedness and building a bug out bag and i just really got lucky i bought a katydine water filter a katydine hiker pro it's an amazing hand pump water filter and it does it all you know what

i mean it's it's one of those things that can filter massive amounts of water really quick well you know like it wouldn't take me long to fill this up. You know what I mean? It works great. I've drank water directly out of mountain streams into, you know, a water bottle like this through that filter and had no issues whatsoever. what's on the rise now are filters that do the exact same thing but are usb well rechargeable battery powered so in other words they can be powered using like a power bank they can be charged taken repowered using a power bank repowered using solar panel probably and that's new that's pretty new And that's going to be a thing man That's definitely going to be a thing Like the idea that I'm going to hand

It really is time to get away from the one week, two weeks worth of stability.

weeks worth of stability. You should be planning for much longer durations. And here's why. It's not even just about like, it's not just about if you're living the prepping lifestyle and building it around something bad that could happen and me wanting to be able to survive it. If you're living it that way, you're missing out on a lot. You know, you're missing what you're missing is the fast lane. You're sort of like in the right lane. You know what I mean? You're sort of like in the right lane. You know what I mean?

You need to merge at least to the middle lane of preparedness and self-reliance. Once you get outside of prepping for disaster, then you can start to really gain control of your life and gain power as you get into raising food, food preservation, foraging food, catching rainwater like we talked about. You get to the point where you have all these neat things and then you start folding people in, right? Then you have communities starting to take shape. This is where – this is the path back to stability. So when we say you're listening to PBN, your path back to stability, that's sort of our tagline now.

The other thing that's a huge step back that we do and I have to do very soon before my wife just has had it with me, you can go buy prepackaged rice all you want. You can go buy it. You could buy it at a great cheap price in a nice see-through plastic bag. What we do, we take a step back in some degree, in some sense. We buy our rice in bulk.

I turn my brother on from the Ashen Hollow, and I listen to him tell me about the Orc legions, and I go right to bed. It's nice. And he said that it was virtually impossible to get any substance substantial water into his mouth now it wasn't primed or anything right like that garden girl in chat has a great solution for you though the sawyer water bottle is 10 times better than the life straw and it gives you the ability to fill a water bottle from the water source you know what i mean so now the the biggest problem with the life straws you can't take it you can't take water with you and if you're gonna be if you're gonna be traveling traversing some place it's way better to take water with you than it is to like hit a creek use your life straw and then damn, I hope I find another creek or puddle before, you know, the next time I need water.

But I'll tell you what, man. If you have it and it's in your backpack and you get lost in the woods, you're going to be super happy you have it compared to not having it. You know, so they're definitely not worthless. It's definitely a thing where if you're in a bad situation, you can get some drinks or water out of it. But if you're going to be traveling, if it's part of a bug-out bag or bug-out plan or a get-home bag or something along those lines and you've got quite a distance to cover.

Filtration, larger-scale filtration, you know. Yeah, that's nice, man. The Sawyer Mini's great. Like I said, the Hiker Pro's great. There's a lot of good ones out there. But like I said, it wouldn't be my first choice, but I'd sure as hell be happier To be drinking through a LifeStraw Even if it was a pain

I didn't know that i don't i don't really take them out uh to play very often i i go with the katyd and hiker pro when i'm doing larger scale stuff i use a product nishanda you might be interested in this too it's a product called the uh uh what's it called the pressurized jerry can by Hydro Blue. Okay. Hydro Blue produces one of the coolest prep or water products on the market. It's a three and a half gallon jerry can handle pressurized with a pump, pressurizes the water right through a really high quality filtration system.

You can even screw on a virus filter. Right through that filtration system. You can just twist the cap and the water comes spurting out regular. Or it even comes with a little tube that you can feed onto it. And then it has like a dishwasher sprayer on it. It's good stuff. it's a highly effective and uh very worthwhile tool to have the pressure it's expensive it's like 170 bucks or something like that um the pressurized jerry can by hydro blue awesome folks i think we're about to call it a night i uh to be quite honest i'm tired i was tired when i started i wake up very early you know i wake up very early i uh
