He's getting snowed in over there on the mountain. Again. Yeah, I don't know that it's really stopped, right? No, it kind of slowed down a little and then picked back up.

And here he sits. Well, you look at Soundgood so far, usually when I ask you a point in question, that's when the internet goes out. Exactly. Maybe I'll hold all them till after so here and here at richmond we got very little snow very little like i don't know if we got three inches maybe wow but timing you know even with three inches just for those of you who live in the northeast or the northwest or the midwest, this is a southern city and it's not really prepared for snow of any kind. They didn't do bad. You know what I mean? But there's tons of power outages and stuff like that. Really?

Oh, yeah. And then roundabout, I'd say probably about 2.30. No, no, no, no. This was later. It was probably about 4 o'clock. My brother-in-law calls us up and tells us that they didn't announce it yet, but there's a boil water notice coming because a pump malfunctioned at the water treatment facility. at the water treatment facility and what happened is people north of us north of the james river actually wound up with no water so yeah they're dealing with a no water situation over there

they recommend it's a recommended boil water situation everywhere else um and what really stuck with me through all this stuff is just like how ho-hum it is at our house now don't get me wrong we we we called a bunch of people neighbors one of my most prepper neighbors i was so happy because i called him first and I said, hey, man, this is going on. And he said, you know what? My wife already heard about it. And he was actually when I called him, he was filling up a water bob. Hey, you remember those?

They go in the bathtub and you fill them up and clip and they have like an outflow. Yeah, I was happy about that um but what really struck me and it was perfect timing because i've been talking about this prepping as anti-anxiety you know what i mean like the like a real legitimate anti-anxiety is prepping and i'm sitting here watching all this stuff unfold and reading online and talking to people and they're all like you know go great now what now we got to deal with it and you know we got water and in the house water outside the house we so much water to nothing to worry about really and it just was it furthers driving home this point folks that like this is where you want to be even even if our power it's going to go down to something like 17 or something tonight and even if our power goes out even that is like a so what you know what i mean that's how prepared we are

right now i moved some things around brought some heating systems in you know what i mean just minimal stuff i'm talking like 15 to 20 minutes maximum to get everything going and i don't know there's just immense value in it compared to smashing your head into the wall worrying about what could happen what am i going to do if this happens what am i going to do with that you know and it was just i I don't know. It is the ultimate anti-anxiety. We've reached a point in society where you guys got to understand these types of things are always going to happen, and worse things are going to happen.

And if you're prepared, even remotely prepared, then I don't know. You'll just be a lot less worried. It truly is the ultimate anti-anxiety. Dave Jones, you probably have a similar story up there on the mountain right now, right? Absolutely. After we went to see the movie, we swung by Walmart to pick up some more ground beef for clover. And, you know, they're like four or five

times a day. Yeah. And, you know, we got we got the I haven't even fired up the wood stove. I mean, I did the other night. But, you know, if we lose power, got the generator right there, got the wood stove ready to go. I mean, it's nothing. We have water. Yeah, and not anxiety here.

No anxiety. We are happy. That's a beautiful thing. Happy we have two days out of school.. Happy we have two days out of school. Yeah, we got two days out of school. Yeah. Yeah, that was good. We were out until about an hour ago.

We have a middle school down the street from our house, and the running track is in a i'm not kidding like a decline of land let's sort of like this yeah it goes down into the running track and then it comes snow man it's the best sledding there is around and we could walk there so we all walked up there and we spent the evening doing that my yeah you know i had i had what i wanted to be wearing at azure or no at gotham get out on if i wasn't thrift shopping for my gotham get out gear i had i had the real stuff on they ever never even got remotely cold you know what i mean not once just having fun my one son slid.

My older son, he's at that age where he doesn't want to wear a coat. I don't know if you remember that. I was like that in my teens. And as fate would have it, he went over a depression in the ground that was all water. And he came out of the sled and his whole back went into the cold, icy water. He had a few more sleds left in him, and then him and the wife went home after that. Absolutely. I'm usually okay as long as my feet don't get wet or cold.

My feet get wet or cold, I'm done. That's it. I'm going in. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know i don't i don't play with it man you know but the feet are a game yeah they are a game changer the gloves the feet when we did gotham get out it was cold and and i was good to go man i was good to go the whole night there was a point around probably 11 p.m where i sat down to check my map because i was a little lost and i was taking layers off and putting them in my backpack yeah because i was humping it you know what i mean i was moving and I had a backpack full of stuff, man.

After a couple of them Jones caches. So, yeah, I remember taking layers off. But, you know, it comes with age, I think. Well, you know what it comes with? It comes with being being done with being cold. Yeah. That with that point when you're like, dude, I am I'm not going to be cold. I'm going to make sure I got the things on them that work they're important but uh yeah so here we sit enjoying the winter wonderland right you too yeah hey now i'm gonna click off my video every so often because i don't want to lose connection and i think if i video every so often because I don't want to lose connection and I think if I decrease the bandwidth

it might help so I'll keep the audio going okay so when you said about the boil water advisory people sometimes don't understand that the water pressure itself is what keeps the pipes from collapsing and water mains breaking and all that kind of stuff. So once the pump failed, the water pressure decreased and that allowed crap to get in the water system. So, yeah, they had backflow problems. Yeah, they had backflow problems and yeah, all that. Yeah. These reminders are great, man. They really are.

You know what I mean? The water systems, the power systems, all this, it's always a reminder of like as terrible as New Orleans was. These are things always remind me like, yeah, let somebody get into that water system who wants to do some harm. And then you'll really see something crazy happen, you know. We've been talking about that for a long, long time. Oh, absolutely. Water attacks and all that food, you know, that kind of stuff. But, yeah, I wanted to talk about

yeah and then we just invited us tonight for a meal yeah and everything Justin invited us tonight for a meal. Yeah. What did they have? Oh, it was, well, kind of. Everything is fasting. So it's just vegetables, no meat, no cheese, no egg, no dairy at all. So that's what it is. And everything has meaning

That's a pill I know I'm bad off, man if i'm eating garlic raw then i'm i've been sick a while i had a garlic a mixed garlic and rosemary uh tablespoon of medicine when i was feeling real bad i just minced both up and just ate them out of a tablespoon and i was like yeah getting into the real medicine now but i'm still coughing yeah well it's a natural antibiotic oh yeah oh it works yeah it works i rub it on cuts oh i always use garlic on stuff man it works it's brutal you could tell it works it's like when you drink robitussin and you're like oh my god how can this stuff taste so bad because it

works it's like garlic and ginger they're wicked you know what i mean horseradish yeah wicked yeah i know they work mustard seeds you know things like that you can just feel it but um yeah yeah yeah no on this big thing. Yep. On the 6th. How weird. What a great day for the Canadians, huh? Absolutely. And if they become the 51st state, it will be even better. That's my question.

Do you think that when Trump and him met, he had something to do with it? Do you think he was like, look, if you want this to go well, you got to resign on the 6th because the 6th is my day of celebration. It's interesting to think about that. They did meet, and I'm pretty sure the conversation was kind of one-sided. Now we got Pierre Poilevert. Yeah. Now we got Pierre Poilevier. Yeah. I got to get the tool man on to give us the Canadian scoop, but that guy is so busy traveling all the time.

The audio drama will still be around we're all going to keep working on the audio drama but sarah's just uh well she i mean she's got a great thing and she wants to get to the moon and it should be to the moon and you know there's a bunch of crap out there that's not anywhere near as good as the Changing Earth series would be on television. Yeah. I was laughing because, I don't know, you probably deal with this too, Dave. Me and my wife always laugh about this.

We'll be watching television before bed, and most of the time we're either watching hockey, football, or The Office, right? Yeah. The commercials that are between them. They always say, like, the most talked about television show on the air today or the most popular show or the most this show or whatever, you know, like the. And I always get a chuckle because i get excited when they say it because i know they're gonna say a show i've never heard of yeah what i mean yeah my my other favorite thing is when a show comes on it's like season finale for the for the massive hit show prime time and then they name the show and i had no idea it existed let alone had five

seasons and was on a grand finale i always think that and then i think of sarah after i laugh about that i think about sarah and i say now if if if they could find if they could take the block of the drag queens dating their pets and move that and put a real show in like the changing earth then i'd watch television you know what i mean yeah but now that we're talking about sarah i owe her some lines and i totally forgot about it yeah and i gotta i gotta jump on she she said i need them ASAP. And I'm like, oh. Me too. She hunts me down at the end of every season. I'm so bad at it. Every time I get the lines, Dave Jones, I swear, I look at them,

I look them over, and I go, I'm doing these early. And every time, I'm always like the guy right in at the end. My son's got lines. I got to get his ass in gear too yeah we gotta get him knocked out but yeah well and deanna has lines too so that pretty much the whole house except for maria so uh she uh last time i did them early and then there were some lines that were missed and i don't know if it was my printer didn't print them out or or what but i had to re-record and i had to get them to a really quick no yeah and then now this time i said oh i got two weeks christmas break this is gonna be easy

now it's over oh yeah man it happens i know trust me i'm always in that boat i'm always in that boat i'm gonna get this done early well and the puppies kind of kind of messes you up because you gotta you gotta schedule everything around the feeding time so you know i get i get yeah this the sleep i get is in increments and then i usually take a nap during the day it's just it's whacked out until we get them puppies on some solid food i didn't have no uh puppy excuse i didn't get sick I got sick as a dog. It was brutal. Yeah. But I had plenty of time prior to get them done. It's just one of those things. But

yeah, man. January 6th. I have a feeling January 6th is going to be a thing. I was talking to my son about it and I was telling about the... He's asking if he knows about the nicotine. About the what is it? Well, I see. He heard you.

Nicotine patches to block the... Protein spikes. Protein spikes. So I'm trying to make a thing, you know, to have everything on hand for us because they're gonna go back to school and they're gonna get very sick and i want to have everything in hand like vermictin yeah yeah yeah ivermectin you know about that so you're worried about it yes because it's going to be out there. I mean, everybody is complaining of it. Quite a few groups and everybody say they got it and it's terrible.

What was the sickness you had? I think I had the China virus already. Yeah, I think I had that. It really sounds a lot like it. What is HMPV? What to know about the virus as cases take up in China and the US? I think that it sounded exactly like what I had. It's high fever. It's cough. It's cough that lasts

after you're better. I still have coughing. I really think that's what you have. Yeah, Maria did research. I'm going to laminate it, put it in the kitchen cabinet inside and have everything on hand. Oh, beautiful.

Yeah, I love it. Yeah, I don't know. All these respiratory things seem pretty similar in terms of the overall symptoms. But when I started reading up on HMPV, just because

of, you know, everything's a thing. You what i mean everything is this is the big one it's coming you know what i mean and i'm like well let's just see if it is or not you know because i saw the pictures of chinese hospitals that they're showing they're showing videos of like packed chinese hospitals yeah i got i got news for you dave jones there's a hospital close to me real close if i go in that hospital right now it looks exactly like these chinese hospitals wow exactly well actually it's so bad in richmond right now well this this hospital's not affected but they closed the hospitals right now to new patients because of this water issue.

They're redirecting people to other hospitals because of the water. Yeah. Bad news. This is what I have seen. Say it again. This is what I have seen across the United States. This is what I have seen across the United States. I told you I'm part of some groups and everybody said that this new COVID is kicking butt for everybody.

And this is why I come up with this protocol and I'm trying to put it in place. I like it. I think it's a great idea. But these are the hospitals all the time. Oh, yeah, this is all the time. You could could go in the summer you can go in the winter you can go on into spring you got drug addicts illegal aliens yeah uh metal detectors at the front door wow that'd walk through metal detector yeah when my mother was in there not long ago i had to walk through a metal detector to get into the er to go see her you know what i mean yeah uh it's the joe biden er that's all just to do yeah it's the biden admin er you know what i mean you got homeless you got drug addicts

you got illegal immigrants just the whole thing's filled with it. You go in there, there's people. They got gurneys in the ER waiting room sometimes. It's that packed. So what I'm getting at is when I see China, I don't go, oh, my God, something crazy's happening. And I go, oh, well, that's just what it looks like. Yeah, that's what it looks like here. Yeah. And it is bad with the respiratory illnesses right now, you know, all across the country. Yeah.

It's a real thing. But, you know, my youngest had something before I got it. He had a pretty rough time. Oh. I don't know. You know, it's just one of those, I think, pre-COVID. Go ahead. Well, we made it to January 6th.

They certified the votes. So this is one more hurdle. Yeah, let's see. Let's see if we make it to the 20th. And Trump actually gets. Yeah, he actually gets to take the vote. I was explaining to my son the predicament that the Democrats had put themselves in by lying today. Yeah.

My oldest son, I was saying, you know, Kamala Harris has to eat crow today and certify this election. And they can't do anything to stand in the way of democracy now because they put their foot in their mouth for four years straight about what a nightmare january 6th was you know the worst thing that ever happened to the republic and how important it is to have a smooth transition of powers and all that so you know it could have been gangas khan getting the election they would have certified it because they had cornered themselves like fools so badly you know what i mean yeah and i just wanted him to understand that because it was uh it's an interesting moment in history you know that they're this guy that they hate with everything and they trumped up charges on them and the whole thing and now they still have to sit down and

certify him as president because they turned democracy in january 6th into such a talking point i don't know yeah you know the only person that died on january 6 was ashley babbitt and she was shot to death For trespassing. Yeah. Yeah. By an officer that, that didn't not, did not get charges brought up on him. He actually got promoted because of it. Can you imagine? And it's, it's insane. That is insane. I can't. There's only one instance where an officer shoots someone in the neck and kills them and gets a promotion for it.

That's about the only instance. Yeah. And he was a black guy who shot a white woman. Yeah. Like I said, there are only a certain number of incidences. Yeah. And instances where something like that's going to happen. But yeah, man. I'm glad it went nice and easy.

I'm glad we didn't have some rogue group of morons mess it up. Get it in, get it done. Yeah, but they still put the fences up. Of course. They put the fences up when Joe got in too, remember? Because they thought we were all coming. Yeah. Well, they had to make a big show.

How ironic that they put up the fences and then they cut the fences apart to let people in. Yeah. Yeah. They cut the old zip ties to let people in. I'll never understand that one. Well, I think we all understand that one now. Yeah, it was a total setup. Exactly.

Setup. The FBI was busy. Instead of watching Yousef over there in New Orleans, they were busy watching the Truth, what are the guys called? The Oath Keepers. The most dangerous organization in america the oath keepers yep uh and what was it proud boys probably another group of people who are just endless horror in the nation yeah their leader was put in jail for 20 years, and he wasn't even at January 6th. Yeah, he was a white supremacist who wasn't even white.

Awesome. Yeah, yeah. How did that happen? I love it. Yeah, that really is a shame for him. I hope those guys get out. I really do. those guys get out i really do it's a there's yeah you know it's the biggest kick in the nuts of all time following the summer of uh george floyd where kamala harris is paying bail for

I find it hard to believe it made it all the way across the Pacific with this nuke on board. But these guys, these two guys, they get within 15 nautical miles and that's the you know the trigger for the coast guard and um so they're they're gonna set it off and this guy says remember your oath think about your family that's you know you know there's something like the Arabs do and yeah themselves yeah I see I see yeah is there is the martyring speech yes yes so the guy sets his nuke off and it blows a big mushroom cloud of water in the air, which is, which is very visible.

And, uh, they did, they didn't show hardly any of the destruction. They just, they just showed like the panic, which as you've been to my classes, you know,

that I always, I say it will be pandemonium. And it will be. And they did a good job of showing that. Well, that's good. Yeah. And how things changed in the country after uh because of the chaos that ensued and it was it was total chaos i mean there's this grocery store scene you know some people argue oh it won't be that way but if you it's been

almost that way just with the snow the things in the grocery store are gone no bread at Walmart and it was like wait a minute did I miss something here because

it's January it is supposed to snow if the news says it's snow though then you buy everything yeah and it was crazy i mean it was crazy busy this was sunday i think a lot of that also has to do for you guys i bet a lot of it has to do with new people moving to your area you know what i mean because i know the people who've lived there a while they're not like yeah oh we better go get bread yeah most of the people now at costco it's uh categories very little whites a lot of china a lot of indians a lot of the other things Now it's kind of, you have to

clarify the white. Yeah. What do you guys have going up around there? Do you have condos being built or something around there, or it's just people moving to old homes? Yeah, but the influx

of immigrants is what they call it. We have a lot of homeless kids. You know, the influx of immigrants is what they call it. We have a lot of homeless kids. Yeah. A lot from Ukraine. You didn't see that when Trump was in. Yeah, a lot of Ukrainians, because they speak the language,

and Marie and I are pretty good at deciphering which language they're talking. You got a good hold on the Eastern Bloc, right? Yeah. In the movie, they wind up at some kind of survival community, right? Yeah, similar to fortitude ranch but different that's what i thought when i read the uh yeah the synopsis i was like yeah that sounds familiar yeah but this guy this guy is like a super rich guy. He knew something was going to happen. He wanted his family to be squared away. So he built this

compound and did all this stuff, stored all this food, has all these guns. He did all the things ahead of time. He just did not have the people so he hired the top he hired military guys yeah and he was gonna hire security so this guy had yeah this the the other part of this is the the security guy you know combat, worked for the CIA. His wife worked for the State Department. So they probably met that way.

And a mixed race. And they have a kid that I think is a foster kid. It's an interesting dynamic. What's important is that me and David, we argued last night a lot because of this movie, because of our situation. It wasn't an argument.

I was getting yelled at. That's what it was. They did a lot of things wrong uh but there were a few topics uh you know uh which one you want to start with let's start tesla first of all don't get a test so is this woman with her kids which have a tesla she of course she ran out of electricity and she had to steal a she stole a car this never came up again in the movie yeah but they were supposed to meet her husband

I guess he was a pretty well off guy he was in an office building in Los Angeles and this bomb this bomb was detonated close to LA so he calls that's another thing if this happens the cell phones are are not gonna work ain't no calling happening no

what we learn yeah not much i can learn but there are a few things. Yeah. And the EMP effect was not even considered. I mean, it was so small and so localized. I mean, when you come to my class, it's a 20 kiloton bomb set off my scenario mine is uh set off at at ground level and the emp goes out about five miles so you know if you're 15 miles yeah if you're 15 miles off the coast, there won't be a large EMP effect on anything, but the systems collapse all on their own because of, you know, people seeing a mushroom cloud. Right. This is everybody on the phone. Yeah.

Do you remember the hurricane that happened? Not hurricane. Earthquake. Earthquake. The earthquake. Yeah. yeah do you remember the hurricane that happened not hurricane earthquake earthquake earthquake yeah oh yeah and and there was no making phone calls nope and and that happened it uh in virginia it was felt in washington dc and and truly uh I was, what, maybe a month or two at the new job, you know? So I couldn't call Maria. She couldn't call me. We did get one phone call through before the phones went completely over. So definitely we are going to get satellite phones. Yeah.

And we're going to get, you know, for all our kids, like Alex, because it's the only way to be able to send a message to say, where you are, are you going to come? Do you need help or whatever? So that's a thing which we learned from this movie so far. You know where Alex is living is right where

Gotham Get Out was. No way, really? Really. Every time I go there, I see all the landmarks that we passed in Gotham Get Out. So he lives right there. Data world yep right inside data world man it's a weird so yeah so you know how far it is to my house from there yeah and that's Would he? Because he has a Tesla.

Yeah, the Tesla doesn't go very far if you don't charge it. It was in the movie Portrait very well as well. Yeah, she was supposed to generate it to keep in the Tesla. Yeah. Yeah. An inverter. Well, that was another thing because you just can't plug them into the wall you know oh that's right if you don't have one of those charging stations you can't get a charge why would people another thing which was uh why do people want this I don't know exactly

which was uh why do people want it i don't know exactly so another thing which i didn't even have time to talk with david it's have your plan put it quite good down i know if something happened i'm staying home and david the kids from school they are going to come home yeah everybody comes here yeah you need to have that yeah because this family they have a plan and then the guy went to he was at work place that they were supposed to meet up was a gas station in the middle of the desert and and everybody was trying to get gas, okay? And she pulls in with her Tesla running out of electricity. Of course, there was no charging station there. So she ends up having to steal a car. And that was kind of-

And then when the guy opens up his case full of money, goldbacks are in there right next to 100 yep right next To $100 bills I know I do like them

Oh, I see. That was a big problem for them. Yeah, they stored wheat in an outbuilding. It kind of looked like a... Plastic. Well, it kind of looked like a cargo container. And the door was wide open, which they never discussed why the door was wide open. You know, did someone leave it open

did someone get in there get in there yeah but the wood let's get into it i don't know if you know what is that we have them here in the forest as well we didn't know about them until here. So wood rats are smaller. Their tail is as big as their body. They make such a image and they live up in trees and in your attic. And they will go through the plastic. So what they did,

An aluminum metal frame. Like 90-gallon, 200-gallon. Exactly, exactly. IBC totes is what they're called. There you go. Yeah. Another mistake, big mistake. They put two young boys together to do the watch.

So they had different spots around the perimeter. So the guy that was in security, he brought, what did he say, 15 guys with him? Kind of, yeah. And he knew right away 15 guys wasn't enough. And we've talked about this. Yeah. Every time've talked about this. Yeah. Every time we talk about security. And that was probably what we argued about most last night.

Not only food. We don't have enough food. This movie, me is the guy and david is the woman yeah yeah so this guy's wife um she wanted to uh be generous with the food and you know stuff that they were going to throw away because people were lining up at their gate they were not in the middle yeah it is what david does he is telling you are show that i'm not telling anybody that jeez so um they were not out in the middle of nowhere as a matter of fact a hard stand road kind of went through their property oh wow and they had a gate and you could see the town whatever town this was from their property so they yeah this was not a very good location for a survival retreat.

So they were definitely going to have some force on force sooner or later in that location. Yes. And unlike Fortitude Ranch, which is out in the middle of nowhere. Yeah, nobody's going to even make it to it. Yeah. If you get to the gate of Fortitude Ranch, wow. You really

made a trip. You might deserve a pass in. Yeah. When the people are hungry and they don't have nothing, they will go. Yeah. There were probably 100 people at the gate of this thing.

Oh, wow. Yeah. And the security guy. Oh, he screwed up big time. Yes. Jesus. And everybody knew that he had this stuff. Yeah, of course.

You got a big gated compound. They know what you got in there. Well, the one couple was a guy guy worked on his fireplace so he had been in the compound and did work for the guy and he knew what this guy was doing and he said you know when his kids and his family was threatened hey we'll go to this guy's house he'll let me in and of course he didn't but um yeah okay what was the discussion between me and david this guy he didn't have a gun the last meal in his plate was macaroni half uh ramen yes and the uh cucumber you know yeah So that's what he has. So he has nothing.

How the heck you prep, and then you prep, you... Yeah, but this guy was a prepper. He was just the guy. They were staying in their house. Let's go to this guy because David Jones does everything. Let's go to him. No. No one knows.

corn the wheat i come up with some ideas those were tips the satellite phone was the best yeah but a tractor supply for example so you cannot go to a regular store because people is gonna be in there and kill you cannot go in right but if you go to a tractor supply where it's corn organic corn non-gmo Organic corn. Non-GMO. Whole corn for $17 for 50 or 40 pound bag. I got some. You can grind it. You can boil it. You can do anything you want. Sprout it.

Exactly. We have a guy which has non-GMO. We can go and get wheat from there. Like 10 bags, $14, 50 pound a bag. You have 10 bags. You can do a lot with that. It's a good price. Yeah.

Well, we go right to the guy. We go right to the granary. It's about like an hour from our house. He's in Maryland, right across the line. Okay. From West Virginia. from our house he's in maryland right across the line okay from from uh west virginia so uh it's it's not far and we go there with the cargo trailer that i sleep in when we're at rubber camp and we we load up oh did i lose you here. Oh, okay. I saw the screen change. That's what we're going to do. Yeah.

And then a few things I can do it with. Yeah. So in the movie, they had some stores that they had and and their big plan was to try and plant them sprout them and this kind of stuff to make more food and some of the things they already had established like their grapevines and stuff like yeah but they are heavily on uh planting yeah and we didn't see any livestock in this. He's not going to go out of the door with no vest on him. And if it's needed, I'll strike him in the head, put the vest on him or go and stay there. You remember the other day when I said, we're going to have pegs by the door with your belt and the things that were on it. This guy

goes out. I don't even think he had a gun. No, he had a gun because they shoot each other with the other guy. So what happened? From the town, they come to get his food. So it will be like in Winchester, they find out, oh, Dave

Jones or 42 Drudge, they have some food in there and we have shit. Yeah. And the guy goes and says, equitable distribution amongst the population. They're going to come and confiscate your stuff that you spent years and years accumulating for equitable distribution. Yeah, but that's what happened with the SWAT

group and everything. Another thing, as a husband and wife, you have to be together in the same will. Because they were not. Just like these two were not me and dave we are not she thinks we're not she thinks so he he was trying to calculate for his wife that we have

this amount of food the the winter is gonna put behind. If we get more people in, then we're going to have to starve our kids. Same here. David cannot understand that. I'm in charge of food and I know what I have under my roof. He doesn't know because he doesn't know. I don't know shit. How much you have

downstairs? I know as much as you know. Oh my gosh. We need to take him to court. Now you can see why we fight last night. So what was the... This is the confusing part about this movie for me. Okay. What was the point of him creating this shit show

for his family and himself to deal with? Like, if he was a rich dude... Yeah. If he was a rich guy then why why on earth would you want a bunch of random people to deal with i'm not talking to people at the gate i'm talking about the people he invited in to take care of yeah he needed protection yeah well he had put the word out okay that he needed security he was hiring the people that he wanted to be part of the compound unlike fortitude ranch where it's a membership this guy was actually wanting to build a compound of people that he paid hired so yeah the guy for security and and this was another thing during during their talks okay the security guy said hey these other people

they need to be trained up they need to know how to shoot a gun, defend this place, blah, blah, blah. And they ended up striking a deal where the other guy said, okay, these people will learn that. You'll train them, but your

guys need to know how to plant, grow food, you know, harvest, all that kind of stuff. They start the deal. One of the security guys goes to the head of the security guy and he says, hey, let's just take this place over. He says,

let's take it over because these guys are clueless. Yeah, that's the whole thing about high purity. You put yourself in danger in so many ways. Yeah. Not knowing who you will bring in your... Not to say when the head, when the dad was shot in 10 days, you know in coma the wife left the other one seen you're gonna see what's happening you're giving away way too much in this movie yeah that's what you're gonna do i'm gonna this summer i'm gonna get so good at shutting shooting whatever. I'm already good.

Yeah. Yeah. As a matter of fact, I shoot the bear, he fall down. He should run another 50 meters. Okay, none of that's true, but... It's true. Okay, yeah, yeah. You're a better shot than I am. We need some tax money back from that army if that's the truth

yeah there there was just a it's it's not a movie that preppers will go and learn anything from okay it's a it's a movie for the general population. And it's kind of like... But you can learn from their mistakes. Yeah. Like we did. It's the interaction and human factor more than the what you need to do to prep, what you need to do, you know, X, Y, Z, blah, blah, blah. You won't learn any of that so what you can learn is yeah learn from their mistakes

that's a sad one uh i'll tell you what i watched the other day that was good yeah second time or maybe the third time it was uh take shelter with michael shannon you ever watch that no that's like the birth of a prepper movie really yeah you know michael shannon yeah he uh he plays this guy i think they're out in kansas or i don't know where they're they're somewhere flat and big yeah he keeps having these dreams like these visions about the end of everything. And he starts renovating his storm shelter. They got like a tornado shelter out back because they're clearly in the Great Plains. Yeah.

Yeah. And he starts getting totally obsessed with getting this shelter open. And he winds up putting a connex next to it and expanding it out. And, you know know he kind of starts to go nuts to be honest with you he's taking out all kinds of books prep or books from the library yeah it's a good book movie yeah we all know it can happen oh yeah especially in them early stages man, where you get crazy and you're like, ah. What do you like?

Do you like the setup? Like, I always think there's, like, three types of prepper movies. There's post-apocalyptic, it's all over. Yeah. There's disaster core, which is, like, it's all happening right here and now you know what i mean so instead of like mad mac it's like the day after tomorrow or whatever that movie was yeah and then there's sort of the uh the suspenseful kind of um you uh what was contagion the oh yeah the movie that i'm talking about, similar to that

style. Contagion is very similar to that style where it's basically the build-up to the big moment. Sort of like Deep Impact. Yeah. Deep Impact is like all build-up. You know? Those are kind of my favorite.

I'm not a big fan of the big multi-billion dollar graphics disaster. The whole world's falling apart movies. Right. I used to like them. I did used to like them. Oh, yeah, I did tell them. The president didn't step down.

Oh, okay. Yeah. You know, I kind of like the deep impact one and the post-apocalyptic one. Because, you know, I think of the road. The road didn't tell you exactly what happened. Yeah, the road. I mean, yeah. And it was there, you know, and the wife couldn't take it anymore she just

goes out in the snow and dies yeah and yeah and it uh well this is what i'm keeping telling to david i can't go there out in the forest especially when it's such a uh you know terrible outside i if i go there and i stay for two days, I'm going to die. I have lung problems. Okay. My mini bug out plan. I love it. I know. She can't do that. And I'm like, you can't do that?

Oh, yeah. We'll go up over the hill and go to the old man's shack. Yeah. Bury a cache with the freaking wood stove and a tent in it. Everything will be good to go.

Yeah, I love that plan. That's definitely part of our plan. I think I'll just stay here and I'll do what I do. I'll do such a good stew. As a matter of fact, I have one tonight. You know what she told me one time and this really rings

true. She said nobody kills the cook. I'm like, wow, that's right. James, I'm going to make two nice loaves of bread and a nice stew, put a few drops of pork root, which I have, and we'll kill them right out. That's the way to do it. And they'll die happy.

That's the way to do it right there. Yeah, you can put whatever you want in the food. Lure them in. Come on in try this it's like it's like hansel and gretel exactly what happened in ukraine a lot of women did that not that they killed them with poke root i don't even know if you know what that means poke root oh yeah i mean i don't know if the audience does. It's poisonous. You've definitely walked by poke berry

and you've seen it before. It will kill you. Yeah, it's dangerous. One drop, it will heal you. Five drops will kill you. Poke root. Everything in the damn poke is deadly, isn't it? It's not a good plant.

Yeah, it's not. Don't yeah it's not don't eat those berries don't eat those leaves and you know what if you don't know and if you're new to foraging yeah you might think it's a damn elderberry so be careful because they start putting off these purple berries late in the season and if you don't know what you're doing you might say look honey we found elderberries let's make some cough syrup we're good to go yeah you should give them to your quails they love them and they are good for them poke berries or elderberries poke berries oh really yes good to know for the future they will form colonies under the porkberry stuff oh good to know

we got tons I got pogo over this freaking creek bed everywhere you live down there close to the creek there they grow wherever there's a lot of water the pork leaves and shots you can eat them

but you have to boil and throw the water and boil again and boil again in other words i can't eat them yeah i wouldn't even try i mean there's too many other things that can be yeah that definitely especially you guys you guys got a forest of raspberries around you yeah in the right time of year but yeah there's a ton of good ones man there's a ton of good prepper movies out there you know i was watching that movie prisoners the other day and i forgot the dad's just a total prepper in it i don't know if you remember that movie prisoners with uh jake gyllenhaal and hugh jackman it's not a prepper movie the movie's all about this little girl gets taken by a lunatic I don't know if you remember that movie Prisoners with Jake Gyllenhaal and Hugh Jackman.

It's not a prepper movie. The movie's all about this little girl gets taken by a lunatic and they try to find her. But he's a straight up and down prepper. He goes down in his basement. He's all outfitted. It's a weird little wrinkle in the story that I forgot all about. Yeah. You know?

Yeah. in the story that I forgot all about. Yeah. You know? Yeah. Well, you know, I'm kind of not able to talk about prepper movies without thinking about it and making some notes and stuff like that. But I did want to talk about things you never had a bad one of. I have never had a bad cold steel knife.

Oh, I see what you're saying. Every cold steel knife I've ever had, great steel, sharp, does whatever it's supposed to do. Cold steel, if I had to, is a winner. There's never been a bad one. Smith & Wesson. I have never had a bad Smith & Wesson. Never had Smith & Wesson, and I bought through the years as a police officer, bought several different Smith & Wessons.

Never had one that jammed, didn't work right, broke. Smith & Wesson. Yeah, that's a good one. 5.11 boots is one. Ah, I've had a lot of 511 yeah i've had some 511 gear that uh i i thought i paid too much for you know it didn't hold up but you say the boots yeah i always get the 511 boots now now. They were, I got a pair. You know, my wife might have got me a pair first. And I don't know. They just blew me away.

I bought another pair after that one. Actually, after that one, I bought a Wolverine pair that are really nice. But the 5.11s, man, they go and go and go like i i didn't wear them out i got new a new pair like i gave the 511 blue ones to my son i say well you can i mean whenever you need boots just wear these they're fine and i mean yeah you know put miles on them but yeah i like the 511 boots they're they're one one of those. They're a good example of that for sure. So what's another thing that you've never had a bad one of? Ruger.

Yeah. I've got some pretty good experience in the Ruger arms, and they always seem to do me good. Yeah. I'll tell you one that's cheap and kind of dumb but i never had a bad one and that's a shamag they just are what they are i mean i guess you could buy one cheap enough that it wouldn't you know it would rip or something when you use it but they're one of those things that it seems like you know they always seem to work they always do what you need them to do when you need them to do it they're a winner for sure uh what else

see now i'm thinking i'm thinking brand but it's also important to think about tool itself. Yeah. Let me think. This is a weird one. Well, I've only had two, so I don't know if that counts. What's that? I was going to say pop-up tents. I really like those. Oh, yeah.

But I've only had a couple. Yeah. those oh yeah but i've only had a couple yeah i don't know if they're i don't know if that's a good enough uh you know test base yeah let's see let me think about the old edc well even even uh multi-tools you know uh for me uh it's a it's kind of a flip of the coin uh Leatherman and Rue or Gerber yeah uh when the Leatherman came out I carried a Leatherman for the longest time and then uh when Gerber came out with their one-handed opening that was approved by the military, I carried that thing. But Gerber, I have had bad Gerbers that I don't know, steel or, you know, they're just not, you know, I can't say it's 100%. But cold steel, that is 100%. A winner.

A winner. O-Lights. Every O-Light I've ever had has still worked and has just always been great. Yeah. The rechargeable O-Lights, they they're the best you can't beat them the battery life on them is insane i don't know what what they do with their rechargeables but their battery life is crazy on the o lights the output is crazy they were one of those like flashlight brands early on that really had the lumens edge like they were that they were one of those earliest flashlights that you could turn on full power and people would go like dude

what the hell do you have in your hand yeah i've never even seen a flashlight do that before yeah yeah they're they're always good that's a tough one to be i'll tell you what um in the folding knife world uh let me go over all these knives i've had i'm a kershaw guy in the folding knife world man yeah yeah kershaw kershaw i don't i don't know if i've ever had a bad one i've had some i've had some that The design was a little weird Yeah Didn't lend itself to functionality As well as I liked

But they always last You know what I mean They're always great Yeah Marie is trying to look up Something Oh you know what's a good one uh rick austin books rick austin books oh my gosh yes yes yes if you're talking books rick any one of rick austin books pictures. They are 4K and man,

they are just... You name it. You pick it. That book is worth every penny. I think there's four in total and they're definitely worth having. I got all of them. Yeah, they're great, man.

They are phenomenal. Never had a bad Rick Austin book. That's a good one. There you go. What else? Let's see. Maybe we should come up with categories. You know what we should do is get like five of the hosts on, come up with categories, shotguns, pist would be fun. Come up with categories.

Shotguns, pistols, rifles, knives, multi-tools, you know, basic prepper tools, and then go round robin. You know what I mean? Oh, yeah. I'm going to put one on camera real quick. Oh, I turned my camera off. Turned the light off. I'm sipping this number right now since we're talking things and products and promotions. Nice.

And I get it. Rayman. I can see it.
