Starting point is 00:00:00 Maybe you know what a zombie is. When a person dies and is buried, it seems a certain voodoo priests who have the power to bring him back to life. Horrible. It's worse than horrible because a zombie has no will of his own. You see them sometimes walking around blindly with dead eyes, following orders, not knowing what they do, not caring. You mean like Democrats?
Starting point is 00:00:30 It seems the zombie Democrats have decided to capitulate a bit, and the government shut down could be in the first stages of its end, which it really was tough for me to imagine a world where Thanksgiving happened without benefits and, you know, the whole nine yards. So here in America anyway, you know, even just from the corporate side, We had some intel come over the wire about the difference, the drastic difference in the money that Walmart made. I think it was in the first week compared, you know, year over year, without snap, with snap. And it was just kind of like jaw dropping, jaw dropping, really.
Starting point is 00:01:19 I don't have all the details in front of me, but it was, it was a lot. It was a hell of a lot. It was a lot more than you could ever imagine. And it was, it wasn't half, but it was close. So, you know, as you can imagine, big, big, big shopping, big food shopping days coming. Even if the constituents who don't matter as much of the Democrats were upset about the shutdown and wanted it to come to an end. And they wanted them to do something about it. Something tells me that, you know, Walmart and Target and Amazon and yada, yada, yada.
Starting point is 00:01:57 get in the years of those people and all of a sudden we got to make a vote but you know it's a big story it is but if i'm 100% honest with you i haven't really thought about it that much i've been out and about i haven't seen anything crazy i you know i don't know big story on paper in real life i'm sure there's some people suffering and that's a sad thing uh I know that the food banks were reacting, were reacting and giving out a lot more food than normal. From those that I know who are involved in that aspect of food. And so, you know, I think it wasn't nearly the crisis that we thought it would be. You know, and that's happened in the past.
Starting point is 00:02:48 That's happened in the past. It just is what it is. I certainly haven't seen anything with my own eyes. Now, I haven't wasted inordinate amounts in my life. on the you know social media platforms looking for bad behavior i don't know if that's my job i don't think it is to be honest with you this uh life is too short to watch animals running out of stores with cards full of whatever so instead we've been working tirelessly to bring you the ultimate preppers black friday catalog and i will reveal uh that
Starting point is 00:03:27 cover that catalog this week pretty good not a bad design no AI involved and in fact our catalog is AI free for those of you who have just about had it with AI everything and uh yeah some awesome stuff in there man some awesome company spool tenna for all of you comms wizards out there check out spool tenna chin I haven't told you I haven't dropped the spultena line on you yet I think you're really going to like that. So, of course, we'll have our disaster coffee offerings, all kinds of great stuff. There's a rumor that just started whirling about the PBN world this morning. Rumor.
Starting point is 00:04:12 It's only a rumor. It's far too far out to confirm. But there's a rumor of a Preppers Advent calendar. A PBN Advent calendar, digital, a digital advent calendar through the month of December. Now, the month of December gets real crowded here at PBN, but it is what it is. But there's rumors of a digital advent calendar coming to your inbox via the newsletter. A free, awesome, timely piece of preparedness, something or other, each and every day in the month of December. Now, there's just a rumor. It's swirling at the highest levels of the prepper
Starting point is 00:05:00 broadcasting network. It may have been whispered. It may have been sent back and forth in an email stream. It may be something that happened at a board meeting. Who knows? But it's just a rumor for now. I will certainly keep you up to date. In December, though, I know it's, I plan far, far ahead now as a business owner it helps um well let's not get into that just yet kettlebell's in christ don't forget get your kettlebell out that you put away after last december you silly person you prep or fit in health folks you got to stay fit it's not an option it's as important as food storage on the shelf um so that shall return in december as well i love it It's one of my favorite routines that we do, kettlebells in Christ.
Starting point is 00:05:56 And it's, you know, it's a special year for it. So, more importantly than all of that, particularly for the members, we will be moving the continuity meeting, which was supposed to be tonight to next Monday. We will still be doing two back-to-back continuity meetings in the month of November. However, we are doing an impromptu. Preppers Live, two night, 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and impromptu Preppers Live. J. Ferg, the NBC guy. I haven't heard from Carl B. So he probably won't be on. But I did email Carl B to try to get him to come on.
Starting point is 00:06:35 Because we're going to talk New York City. We're going to talk New York City and prepping for a communist takeover, prepping for a communist tyrant. And, yeah, steps that you should take. You know, because this is a model. This is one such model that could appear in many places. I mean, it will be very different in New York, because New York is very different. The cynic in me says it'll all be pinned on regular people anyway, right? It'll all fail in the face of the Sultan Mamdani. And, you know, because it's doomed to fail, always fails. It always fails.
Starting point is 00:07:17 It always fails. It's just a matter of the damage. you know that's kind of what it is there's no surprise when communist policies fall apart as we're seeing with what what's the what's the what's the current socialist slash communist policy that we're we're seeing crush people right now oh government run health care imagine that right the big hold up the reason people didn't get their snap benefits which is also you know largely communist in and of itself is because what because we're socializing communizing. Sorry about all the sniffles. I'm a little sniffle-y this morning.
Starting point is 00:07:55 Communizing the food in the country and the health care. So like I said, it's never a matter when the government runs something, particularly in a communist style, that it's going to fail. The real question, oh my God, look at that hickory tree. Wow. Sorry. Squirrel. I mean, sometimes the leaves get so gold that it's breathtaking. It look fake. Anyway, it's not a matter of if it will fail. It's a matter of the blast radius, right? Communism is all about, it's like a nuclear weapon.
Starting point is 00:08:33 What's the blast radius going to be this time? And we look at New York City and we're all wondering the same exact damn thing. What's the blast radius going to be of the Sultan Mamdani? And that's it. You know, that is what it is. So we'll all have to wait and we'll all have to see. I don't know. It's a shame. It is a shame. It's a shame that they'll vote anything but Republican in New York. I heard someone over the weekend talk about the fact that what are you surprised for that he got in?
Starting point is 00:08:58 Did you think that a Republican candidate was going to win in New York City? It's a valid point. Valid point this day and age. So, I don't know, folks. I'm sipping coffee. I'm doing an audio podcast. I'm happy, man. It's fall. It's beautiful. It's gorgeous. It's going to get cold tonight with this rumor we've been. might even see some flurries you know what i mean cold weather preps guys how are you looking really how are you looking cold weather preps you got kerosene for the kerosene heater you got wood split and ready even if you don't need it just to have a fire going on a morning like tomorrow because to here in virginia i don't know it's going to be like where you're at but here in virginia we are set to be in the in the high 20s in richmond tomorrow morning
Starting point is 00:09:44 something man that's something that's something Something. So we'll see. You know, we sell it shall see. Or maybe it's, we might be 30s tomorrow morning and then 20s the next. I'm not 100% sure. My son was telling me the weather report on the way to school today. Either way, now's the time. Now's the time to prime that vehicle, right? One of the best things you can do is get that vehicle ready for cold. Because we've seen it in this country. We've seen it and we see it almost once a year. this country now the highways become slush ice uh problems people are stuck in their cars for 12 hours at a time and and you know maybe more 24 hours we saw in virginia one year was that two three years ago and uh you know there's you've got problems you're stuck out in the cold particularly at night i take the cold very seriously i hate it i tell you this every year i hate the cold it's the worst
Starting point is 00:10:45 I take it very seriously. On yesterday's live, I did an introduction to the FERG. I was showing off the FERG, the incredible creation by the Phoenix. It is, I mean, it's an essential for winter for me, but if you want to, like, seriously upgrade your potential to stay warm, cover that neck. Get something that you like that covers that neck, man. When it gets cold, you cover the neck.
Starting point is 00:11:13 Everything changes. For me, anyway. I mean, that's really how it's been. J. Furr started sending me, she sent me this giant, um, Shamog-esque thing that I still have to this day. But then she started sending Fergs. Then she sent the Woolferg. And I was just, you know, you cover the neck, man.
Starting point is 00:11:34 And you're good to go. But outfit that vehicle. Outfit that vehicle with some hand and feet warmers. Fold up a good blanket. Get yourself a good Sherpa lined blanket. Okay, these things are real. You know, you could even throw some bivis. Bivis are dirt cheap.
Starting point is 00:11:54 You know, good bivie. Throw it in the, oh boy, what are people swerving around up here? Those bivis sacks, they will hold your heat. They will hold your heat. What you have to be worried about with a bivis sack in the car when you put one on is sweating. I mean, that's literally the problem that you're going to run into because it will hold your body heat like crazy. They even sell two-person bivies if things get real bad, climbing there together. Or maybe if things get really good, who knows? But yeah, outfit the vehicle, man.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Outfit the vehicle for those things. You know, another great thing to have in the vehicle, super cheap. You can get yourself some jet boil propane and, you know, one canister, those little canisters. I don't know what they are, two ounce, four ounce, something like that. Um, little jet boil canister and then for like another five bucks or eight bucks whatever it is you get the little the little uh stove that goes on top they call it a stove and i hate to call it a stove because it's it's basically a tiny little foldout platform with a starter and uh and that's basically it and a knob to control the amount of propane coming out of your jet boil but these things are tiny you could fit them in the corner of a of a uh you should you could
Starting point is 00:13:15 fit it in a glove box you could fit this whole setup a little jet boil and one of these little stoves they come in a little orange case maybe i'll link to it down below for you um and now you got hot food i mean real food as long as you keep some water in the car now you got hot food you got hot drinks right throw some instant coffee in there do some cowboy coffee whatever you want to do you got hot drinks you got hot food everything changes in the cold when you got hot food and hot drinks you know what i mean it's just it just changes i remember i took my son up the skyline drive uh when he was real little and we didn't know what we were doing in the mountains and we get up there it's not bad you know what i mean we get the day off here at school but we get up there and it
Starting point is 00:13:59 the whole thing's shut down there's nowhere everything's covered in ice everything's covered in snow we couldn't believe it the whole you know so we're in there and we're walking i said you know let's just walk and we'll go to a lookout and then we'll turn around and go back and he's cold and his feet are getting wet and all that kind of stuff and what you know whatever we're going to do it we're just going to go through it i know you know what to look for i know he's not going to get hypothermic or anything like that we weren't that far from the car but we walked maybe a mile or something like that and then he got real cold and i said you know what let's cut through off of this main trail and we'll walk through a little more snow and then we'll go sit on this log
Starting point is 00:14:37 and I'll make some tea. And, you know, I had the bag. I had the same setup, the exact same setup I'm talking about right now. And I pulled it out, my son don't drink tea, right? I pulled it out and I made, I think I made like some Earl Grey tea or something like that in a titanium cup. And he sat there with his gloves on and had on and drank that tea and his feet were up off out of the snow from the high tree that had fallen over we were sitting on.
Starting point is 00:15:04 And I remember him just being delighted. You know, at the warmth in his hands and at the warmth of the tea itself. And he was just so happy. And it's all right, man, let's head back home. And it always stuck with me as, like, just a total morale booster. Hot food, hot drink in the cold. It's a lot like when you make it to Dave Jones' house after a 12-mile hike overnight and you wake up to find cold, chilled watermelon with sea salt on it.
Starting point is 00:15:35 It's delicious. So, you know, those things. Morale's a thing. But keep warm, man. Keep warm. Get the right hats. Get the right gloves. Gloves.
Starting point is 00:15:48 You got to have the right gloves. The thin slate gloves. The gloves with insulation to protect them from the water is the key. The thin slate technology, I love it. I love it. I don't buy gloves unless they have it. I need to be able to throw a snowball at my kid and not have wet fingers after. you know what I mean
Starting point is 00:16:07 not because it's about snowballs but because it's about it's about every it's about dexterity in the cold you know what I mean that's what matters to me it's dexterity in the cold one of the things you may laugh you may laugh but it does make a difference and these are something you can travel with too that would make a world a difference in a car situation they sell and I have one now I have a jacket my wife has a jacket
Starting point is 00:16:36 also. My wife buys these jackets now that are lined in mylar. They're really nice. They're like puffy, you know, puffy jackets and they're lined. She opens them up. You could see it. It's like a mylar lining inside. It's covered by like a material, but you can see it. It's clear and you can see the mylar in there. But she bought us both coats last year with battery packs that had heaters in them. And I'm telling you, man, they make a difference. They make a big difference. so winter you know that nub one of our listeners and members is always talking about how his woodstove overperforms he's got like an over performing woodstove and i get that i understand what he means um so you know the winter you can dominate you can dominate the cold right for the most part
Starting point is 00:17:27 like you if you're listening to me in south dakota i don't know what the hell i'm talking about You know what I mean? I have no clue what you go through. I have no idea with the people in, you know, the great lakes areas that get, you know, lake affects snow and are buried. I don't know. But what I do know is how to keep cold in the mid-Atlantic or how to keep warm in the mid-Atlantic and some of the most population dense areas. And, you know, a lot of these things apply to everybody, right? It's definitely better to have a heated coat no matter how cold it is than not to have a heated coat, right? I mean, they're cool.
Starting point is 00:18:00 They work. They're easy to manage. They don't run a long time. It's not like you're going to have a heated coat for like a week, right? You're going to have to plug the battery. And the other thing is if you don't need it, you have a, and they run off of a power bank, right? They run off of a particular power bank that fits into a zipper pocket. But if you don't need the thing, now you've got to back up power bank on top of everything else.
Starting point is 00:18:21 You could call for help if you're on a side of the road in the winter type deal. So you could slay this dragon PBN family, but the same. The cold is coming. It's going to be a cold, at least where I'm at. It's going to be a cold and snowy winter, I do think. There's a chance we could have flurries tonight. So we shall see. I'll be looking.
Starting point is 00:18:41 I'll be looking out the window at midnight, hoping to see a little flash of snow hit the street light. And then, you know, maybe a glimmer in the sky that I can pretend. Could be maybe Santa on his dry run. Who knows? All right, folks. Before I go. PBNFamily.com, the mesh-tastic course is up right at the top of PBMFamily.com.
Starting point is 00:19:06 It's literally the first thing. I had it buried down below and I said to myself, I'm going to be talking about this for at least a week. Why not move it all the way up to the top? Why not move it? Give it its own home right at the top of the website so people can show up and go, oh, there's what James was talking about. Go to pbmfamily.com. Many of you went. Many of you, I got emails such and such as starting their course, such and so.
Starting point is 00:19:26 Whenever people start courses, I get an email notification. and a lot of you moved in to take advantage of that course that course is a la carte if you want to spend 40 bucks and you're not a member I wouldn't recommend it but hey if that's what you want to do it's well worth the money it's worth probably double that to be honest with you it's an hour long course you'll walk away going
Starting point is 00:19:49 oh I can mesh testic now I could do this literally and you can refer back to it it's you know there's the whole flashing process the programming of the radio which is really easy um it's all in there it's all in there it's all easy um or just sign up to become a member five bucks a month you know five bucks a month gets you access to that course and every other course and every other piece of membership content and every other bit of documentation every member discount that's offered on the website it's you know it's all there for you and it's
Starting point is 00:20:22 we don't mean come on as i said it used to be popular to say things like you spend five dollars a month on coffee probably spend five dollars a week on coffee i don't i don't like to use that phraseology because coffee's a beautiful thing you know what i mean so i don't want to discount your coffee i'll take it one step further you lose five bucks a month i can almost guarantee you that i can almost guarantee you got five bucks a month going out the door right now you have no idea where it's going or you lost a five dollar bill or you even whatever like in a month's time or or or you spend five dollars on a bit of something that's so trivial you can't even wrap your head around it so when when i tell you you can have access to pbnfamily.com particularly this meshtastic course
Starting point is 00:21:08 for uh five bucks a month i mean what are you waiting for right tis the season to be jolly talk to you soon folks i'll see you tonight live on x youtube rumble live okay for preppers live J. Ferg, Dave Jones, the NBC guy, and we will be discussing the Sultan Mandami and how to survive them. Talk to you soon, folks. See ya.
