So thank you for your service, service bro god bless the whole lot of you where would we be without the vets man you know so be in big trouble a few weeks ago uh i took a trip with i took a field trip with the 9th 10th andth grade. And we went to the Marine Corps Museum. And at the entrance to the exhibits, they give you an experience like basic training for the Marine Corps. Get out of here. Yeah, it was good. This is the one you told me about with the trenches, right? Yep. I got to take my kids here.

It was good. It was really good. And then there was this, there's this display where they're pushing, you know, you see the uniform and it's all decked out, has all this stuff on. And the student that was there was pushing the buttons and it was pass or fail. And I explained to them that they come out with a ruler and they measure your rank and your insignia and all that to make sure you put it on right and she says oh i i can't believe someone wants to do something like this and then she says i really appreciate the people that actually want to go through this yeah yeah well we all i mean i wish we all did i know i do what's up garden girl in chat yeah it is it's a thing you know it i never i always told

told you this story my mother said you're just you're no way you're joining the military you're not going over there and getting killed by some foreigner she didn't say foreigner you're joining the military you're not going over there and getting killed by some foreigner she didn't say foreigner you're not going over there getting killed by some foreigner i'd rather kill you myself than see that happen so that's when i was kind of like oh okay other other career paths i guess we'll have to open up what's up jayberg i uh told my mom and she said, no, I am not letting you join. Oh, so she said the same thing. Yeah. I said, mom, I'm 18.

I don't need your permission anymore. No, that's true. That's true. And then she was like, oof, I can't. What can I do? You know? I was like 10. Oh.

What she told me. Because I was so obsessed with the air force i had like you know f-18s and f-14s and stuff all over my walls yeah my dad was in the air force and so you know i was like yeah that's what i'm gonna do join the air force and then by the time i got the 18 i was already you know fully chefed up and ready for that career man yeah it's already halfway down the line on that one but yeah man it's you know what i was saying on the podcast today was what i didn't understand about veterans when i was younger was how how the just the fighting force of the american military itself is the deterrent and how much you know what i mean

like when you when i used to think a veteran i would think that guy who went to war and came back and survived and um and he you know he's the one like that's the reason and then i started to the more i started to understand the military and our presence around the world you start to realize like oh no every one of these soldiers is a part of this thing that the rest of the world goes okay let's behave let's be with them yeah yeah well that's kind of when i heard you say that that's kind of what i used to say to the guys that i was training up to be nbc guys and we were keeping up with the Soviets, you know, and it was, oh, my gosh, they outnumbered us like eight to one, you know, whereas we had one guy that was actually trained as an NBC guy in a whole battalion. So in a battalion, it was one NBC guy. One guy. And then when we found out that the Russians were using chemicals and all this kind of stuff, then the force structure was changing and we wanted to put it one per company. So it'd be like one per hundred guys as opposed to one per like 500 guys.

Yeah, sure. like 500 guys yeah sure yeah so in that process i got to train a whole bunch of guys to become an nbc guy and uh i would tell them that it doesn't matter how many bullets you have or missiles or jets it how it matters how many people you have ready to go at a moment's notice when the balloon goes up. four beds of potatoes we're gonna let them go until next spring and um so they'll grow they'll grow all winter and then gosh we did so much today it was nice weather so took advantage oh it was good go go go well you guys know it's gonna get cold soon man and it gets cold yeah yeah i haven't even lit my uh wood stove yet though i will tell you this dave of the few winter days i've spent on the mountain with you, I've never been cold once. Yeah. But I think that's because of what we do when we're up there, you know? Yeah.

Moving things around. Well, the first time, I guess, the first real day I spent with you, we played with a blowtorch most of the day. So that probably had a lot to do with it, too. Yeah. Remember? Yeah. That was blowtorch day day so that kept us warm well uh we're we're gonna get a pig uh probably the 29th of this month and we're getting a whole pig and this this thing's

gonna be we want his smallest one but his smallest one is probably going to dress out at about 250 pounds so yeah it's it's going to be big so you don't have to chase this one around right no he's going to have it this is the amish guy this is before i found the amish butcher you know yeah our amish butcher is moving up to pennsylvania yeah he's heading back to his Trump voting coalition up there. Yeah. Right? Yeah. Trump brought out the Amish vote.

Wild. I didn't even know they voted. I had no clue the Amish even voted. Very rare. Very rare. But since Pennsylvania did this mail-in vote thing, perfect. Yeah. Oh, so they were the mail-in vote. They didn't actually go into town and vote. No.

Oh, I got it. Okay. Yeah. How about that? Yep. Campaigned to get them registered and voted. And, you know, that was quite a bit for Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania has the largest Amish in the country. Ohio's number two. Dang. I want to talk about Old Grouch's military surplus.

Go ahead. Because today, well, let's first talk about them. They are from Clyde, and they were part of the absolute. Can you turn my volume down a little, Dave? Sure. I hear myself going a little bit. Thanks. So they're from Clyde.

They got smashed by Helene. They got everything up and running, and they opened up on Veterans Day today. I got the update from Jay Ferg. She sent the article over, and it's actually an article in the Asheville Greenville WLOS ABC 13 News. They got a lady out there doing the whole thing but you know it's just amazing that he pushed to get it open today and got it open today and now some semblance of uh you know society is back up and running over there well yeah as a chief warren officer yeah three with 24 years in the army and uh i guess he just did what soldiers do you could probably remark on

that right dave jones yeah it depends upon what kind of warrant officer he was warrant officers was a rank that was uh developed uh in after well during world war ii because they had so many different technologies that were coming in and they would train these NCOs up and then they'd get out because, you know, they had this training, let's say radar because radar was brand new. Oh, that's right. Yeah. Yeah.

So it was highly valuable too, I guess. Yep. So they created this rank warrant officer, which allowed the NCOs to transfer to be a warrant officer. They would get more pay, more benefits, and they would have none of the responsibilities as an officer. Whoa. So it was kind of the best of both worlds. It's a no-brainer. Yeah.

And then later on, helicopter, pilot you know there were there were all kinds of warrant officers now and they have more more duties than they did back then so they are more like a commissioned officer i got you. So them guys, the old grouch's military surplus I saw for the first time at Prepper Camp, I think it was year two. And they'll always stand out to me because Jay Ferg got two all-wool sleeping bags with holes at the bottom for the boots to come out.

And I just thought they were so cool, man. Do you know what I mean? I'd never seen them before. And it was just really cool to see the, first of all, the 100% wool sleeping bag and then the little, you know, get up and go hole in the, in the bottom for you to put your boots out. And he had all kinds of stuff there, man, that year. I was half tempted to get some wool blankets myself, but I didn't move on it.

It was a rough year. That was the rain. Oh, yeah. You know, the first tropical storm before the actual hurricane. That was a warm-up for you guys. Yeah. That was a warm-up. He would bring bins and bins

Of stuff out there I mean if you Like rummaging through stuff To find the hidden treasure That's his booth right there Yeah I ain't seen him there since though No Nope that was the last time I went

But he's up and running in Clyde He's recovered from Helene. He opened the doors on Veterans Day. I just thought it was a good story for today. What did you hear about FEMA? About the, my wife told me, about the don't go to Trump houses. Yeah. Don't go to the houses with the Trump signs.

And then they tried to blame it on equity. They tried to say, oh, no, we're just doing that because it was equitable not to service the people. So for those of you who don't know that. There you go. But what I didn't know was I thought I read about it in Florida. She told me it was in North Carolina. No, it's it was in Florida is where they exposed it because of Milton. in florida is where they exposed it uh because of milton but now the governors of those states uh that was affected by helene are going back and looking to see they're doing an investigation each

governor is investigating yeah so they're probably gonna find it they're gonna find it in a lot of places that is what's gonna happen so this supervisor specifically told them that. And then when this reporter found out about it, he wrote the article, wanted a comment from FEMA, no reply. Okay. And then just as he publishes the article, because they tried to transfer this person to somewhere else. Oh, they were trying to cover tracks. Exactly. So once the article hit and everybody found out about this, now they're fired. It's amazing that they'll come out and say, like, Trump's crazy and he's going to, like, do all this crazy stuff.

And then all Trump's trying to do is make sure that lunatics like this aren't sitting in office going, don't go to the Trump sign, go to the Kamala flag. Just leave you out there in the middle of a disaster like that. It's just insane. And then they turn it on their head and try to say, no, we were doing it because of equity. It had nothing to do. Like, we're idiots. You know what I mean?

Like, the people are so dumb, they can't figure out what happened garden girl says glad he got booted so i guess he got fired over it yeah actually it was a sheet you know what's terrible dave jones this is terrible of me what's that my wife tells me the story yeah and i immediately said so what happened to her? I did. I didn't know Jack. I didn't know if it was a man or a woman, but my left-wing loony instinct said it was a woman. I don't know why.

In my head, it just clicked. I knew it was a she from the get-go. I don't know. It just seems more pervasive. You know't know. It just seems more pervasive. You know what I mean? It seems more pervasive. I think it's because the left-wing dudes are so tamped down by the women on the left. You know what I mean?

Like, they have no—they're not allowed to say anything but, like, I'm a male feminist. Yeah, yeah. I was at one of my favorite places in the world today. My favorite little cafe working, right? Yeah. This is unbelievable see the thing about richmond is it's like it's it's like i'm starting to realize i live in the california of the south that's that's where i live it's like not quite san francisco or la it's not bad like that yeah but the mentality is there. And when I see what happened on election night, I was like, oh yeah, okay.

So I'm sitting in my favorite cafe, man, and I love this place, and finishing up the work day. And a dude gets up and walks out the door, and before he leaves, he turns to this other old guy. They're both probably in their 60s or something. 50s, I don't know. They were gray-haired,

so I'm going, I'm giving the uh benefit of the doubt so he turns to the guy and he goes well guess it's gonna be a rough four years man i don't know what else to tell you and and he and the other guy looks at him and goes with an even more alarmed look it says it's gonna be a rough rest of our lives under this guy and and then he leaves and the guy leaves behind him and i was just like oh what do they think is going to happen yeah exactly and what are these people that were screaming and crying and just going you know bat guano crazy yeah what are they they gonna think when trump doesn't do anything that the media told him he was gonna do they're gonna say wow we really lost our

minds for no reason yeah here's the funny one ready i'm watching i'm watching the girl. I have been avoiding the lunatic people screaming responses because I feel like it's clickbait. But what intrigued me was the girl saying they're not going to have sex for four years. Yeah. So I watched a compilation of that, and there's girls, like, they're cutting their hair off now. And I'm sitting there watching and then i realized uh the left-wing women solved abortion with abstinence for the next four years there you go they they took my body my choice all the way to the highest level you could take it

and i was just hilarious to like and they didn't realize it like they have yet to realize that they for the next four years have solved a large part of the abortion problem by simply not engaging you know what i mean and i was like wow what a crazy circumstance to watch these girls say after saying like we want the right to have sex and abort babies. They took half of that out of the equation. Now they don't have to worry about either. Yeah. But they don't realize it. You know, they're using it as a punishment, I guess, to punish the left-wing guys.

This is going to get back at all you men that voted for Trump. Well, I got news for you. You probably wouldn't have sex in the next four years anyways oh god just from the ones i saw okay i'm like no no and and i imagine they'd probably rather be with left-wing guys who voted for kamala so they're the ones losing out yeah it's a majority. Yeah, exactly. It's not like you're withholding because they wouldn't mess with a Trump voter anyway. Right. Oh, and that's like, you know, do you what is it that you want in a man? Do you do you want, you know, a guy that's going to come in, take charge, you know, solve problems?

I did see that People that blow themselves up Want peace Well they gotta give the hostages back though Yeah They've come to the table a couple times But they gotta come with the hostages back though yeah they've come to the table a couple times but they got to come with the hostages yeah if there's any alive i mean it's over a year now does that make any sense to you they're more afraid of what trump will do

than blowing themselves up oh for sure i yeah no doubt no doubt they know that they've been getting uh well i don't know you know what i think i think a lot of it has to do with the source i think they look at biden and the administration and even israel's military as this is an attrition thing where you know they'll kill a lot of us but we have the backing of iran and as long as we have iran with the billions we can keep this caliphate going and they know what trump's gonna do trump's gonna say good luck starving iran and he's gonna take all that money and sanction them and and everything i mean he may even dominate him with oil on the world stage you know i have to imagine that's part of his strategy is to say who's getting iranian oil okay you're getting from america now absolutely i mean he he can turn the switch on now

and another good thing about trump he already knows now what he didn't know then oh yeah it's gonna be crazy with him in there he had like two different staffs and one staff would be with him for the first. Like as soon as he got up until like two or three in the afternoon and then the second staff would come in and they get with him to a client. He would wear two staffs out in a day with the stuff that he was going. He he did more in the first hundred days than any president ever. How many staffs do you think Joe Biden's wearing out a day? Yeah. Yeah.

How am I to get water out of this thing without the electric well pump? So I said, I have some ideas, obviously. Dave Jones has some tissues. Yeah, I know But I thought I'd unleash Dave Don't get the wrong idea I'm using them as napkins That's why he turned the camera off

For the sake of you all So I thought Since you're One of the hosts that's on well And one of the guys that I think Probably would have some answers to this question that you could talk about. Well, well pumps. What happens in the Jones homestead when the electric goes out and you need water? And how is the well doing anyway?

It's been dry as all get out in Virginia, man. Uh-oh. And on that note, he froze. uh-oh and on that note he froze well while we wait to get him back i don't know what happened there we're still going we're still live oh we got comments in here too oh mr x navy what's up we they need real consequent let Let me message Dave real quick and let him know. But they create hole enclosures for this kind of a process where they're doing a generator, a well pump hooked to the generator and the well itself and pulling water up through there. If I were to do it, if I were in his shoes, if I woke up and I was in a well situation, I would invest in a 0.0 energy solar generator, a Titan, which is a 3,000 watt solar generator. Solar panels on the roof, solar panels off to the side, wherever you get the good sun. hooked up to the rest of the electricity in my house, good on it, wouldn't need the backup generator until the time came,

or if it was off-grid altogether, that would be my power source. And that's not to say that you would... You back, Dave? Yeah. Okay. I don't know what happened. Again, I wonder how long you'll be with us nope gone again uh no biggie off grid oh you're there i hear you now are you still there

I didn't even think about that yeah i have one how it works yes it's specifically designed for deep well uh so if you have like you know a normal well pump won't suck the water up that far so if you have a deep well that you're going to have to suck it up you know like 200 feet or so flow jack will do it it's a progressive pump you pump for a while and the water keeps coming up up up up and it's a hand pump and they're way better now than when i bought mine so they'll do a much better job now it, it is a little bit of an installation. You got to put the PCV by, you got to use their PCV because it's different from other PCV. It's more rigid.

rigid and you got to put it together and then let it uh cure overnight before you put it down in your well so you glue it pieces together something like that yep yep and then you put it down in the well and hook the jack up to it you need a cap so you got to buy the cap from them so your well can fit on top of the cap and then pump away man pump away i like the hand pump man it's a two hand yep it's got like some kind of coating on it rubberized coating something like that yep oh yeah and it'll it'll pump like a maniac so uh you know if if you can't get the power to the pump or your pump just burns out or breaks, you know, that happens. Okay. If you got to lift 250 feet, you're going to be spending. Oh, no.

Here's a 50-foot pump length. Yeah. Let's go with the deepest just to see what the investment is here. So it's two grand. Yeah. On a four-inch. Let's see if we wanted a six-inch. Okay, so the width of the cap doesn't matter.

Okay. Well, it's a lot better than dying. Well, yeah. If your well is your primary source of water You want to have a backup You better, right? About getting it out Yeah, you better

I'm with James I have two generators I have a solar Generator And I have the hand pump. The pump house. That's the word I was looking for 10 minutes ago.

Oh, okay. The pump house. Yeah. If I were on a well, that's something I would build, the pump house out there, and put the generator inside, whether it were gas or whatever fuel you wanted, and I'd have that thing set up and ready to go. So if power went out, boom, hit the pump house. I'd go out to the pump house and get it rocking.

So, yeah, appreciate that, Dave Jones. That was a question on the mind of the man with the well. And I think we pretty much shored that up. The Flow Jack seems like a great answer. The Flow Jack. If I was Trump, I would put out, I want every general to submit their resignation the day of my inauguration. They can all retire. He can select who he wants to. Yep. How would that work? You know what I mean? Like, if I wanted to be a general right now, I'd be doing what? As my step before general. Besides like kissing ass. What's the actual military rank? Yeah. Well, you go to the war college. That's the next big step so that you can make colonel and if you're a colonel

you know that those are the guys that are in charge of large units and that kind of thing and then from the colonel to general the the pyramid gets a little smaller in that if you make full colonel, there's only like a one in eight chance or a one in 10 chance that you'll make general officer. One in 10 is not bad. Yeah, but here's the thing. During Obama, he did, you can Google this, fast track. There were generals that he put, he promoted ahead of time because these are the ones like Milley. Equity. Yes.

And those generals are in place because of Obama. And these are the, this is the problem. of obama and these are the this is the problem maybe this is why my prepper sense is tingling because i i have been on edge since the election it's like ben said in the back channel they made it too easy and it's like and then and then biden and says, we are going to have the peaceful transfer of power. And this is the time, if you remember last time Trump got elected, Obama got with his DOJ and Comey, the FBI director, and did this Russian collusion thing to get him impeached in the House of Representatives. Trump finishes up, Vance does eight years. If things go really well, why would you vote him out? Why would you not vote for Vance? And who's the left going to put up that's going to make you go really well why would you vote him out why would you not vote for vance and who's the left gonna put up that's gonna make you go well things are great right now but imagine what gavin newsom could do for us yeah exactly well that's what happened during reagan so reagan you know he he was in there for eight years and then bush bush ran yeah and you know it wasn't until clinton came along that he was able to garner enough votes to win and yeah so it was it was 12 years of republican rule

and even clinton had to contend with you know a house uh i think the senate he had to work with republicans to get anything done yeah the problem is clinton is a conservative comparatively speaking yeah you know what i mean like yes like if he ran against kamala he'd be the conservative candidate by a long shot yep so yeah it's they've changed it too much they've pushed it too far but yeah all that said and all that hunky-dory and everything's going to be wonderful as i said last week and as dave jones has alluded to with his instincts it's a pedal to the metal movement moment for preparedness and self-sufficiency and all that kind of stuff like prices drop great use that money wisely right feed costs come down great get the chickens get the quail get the pigs whatever it is that you want to do don't let up you know the trump slump was real and the trump

slump may be what cost us so much you know what i mean it may have been a factor be what cost us so much. You know what I mean? It may have been a factor in what cost us so much over these last few years because people looked at him as he'll do everything. Yeah. You know, and you got to look at it as we'll do everything to make this country great because that's really how it works.
