Starting point is 00:00:10 Welcome in Red Beacon Daily News, June 1st, 2026. This is James Walton. U.S. moves to restrict China's access to advanced AI chips. The AI war carries on. The guidance comes amid broader debate over Nvidia chips, sales to China and U.S. efforts to protect advanced semiconductor tech. This, an article by Evgenia Filamaneova from the Epic Times. U.S. Department of Commerce has issued new guidance to prevent Chinese companies from obtaining advanced U.S. artificial intelligence chips, such as NVIDIA's most sophisticated blackwell processors.
Starting point is 00:00:53 Why is everything black rock and black stone and blackwell and... I don't know. Can we get a little brightness in the world? The May 31 guidance clarifies that export licenses are required for entities headquartered in China or Macau, regardless of where they're effective. affiliates are located. The U.S. Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry Security said that licensing requirements for advanced computing items destined for China or Macau headquartered entities were first established in November 2023 and remain in effect. Yeah, this is a war, you know. It's what it is. Got to look at it for what it is. It's a war. Speaking of ongoing U.S. self-defense actions, quote, self-defense actions in the South.
Starting point is 00:01:41 But talks in Qatar continue. This is an Iran update. Iran claims 20 plus ships have passed through the straight under the Revolutionary Guard coordination, while the U.S. maintains its blockade on Iranian ports. Again, the big news in the great big blue world, what? What's it have to do with you, largely, right? What's it to have to do with you largely? Your capability to stand on your own two feet?
Starting point is 00:02:11 the very literal amount of time you get to live your free life outside in the sun with the trees, with the plants, with the children, right? These are the metrics, right? The amount of ships that have passed through the Strait of Hormuz probably not a metric you should worry about. Right? The average child spends seven minutes or less of unstructured outdoor play a day. You a parent? Nephew, uh,
Starting point is 00:02:47 aunt or an uncle? These are, these are metrics to think about. These are metrics to think about. What? Well, let's keep on AI. Your AI assistant here. We've got a bit of a good news
Starting point is 00:03:08 for a new situation. Looks like AI is moving from, you know, crappy artwork to useful execution. Research just solved one of science's toughest math problems with the new molly, what is it, mollifier layers in neural networks, making complex equations stable and efficient. Elsewhere, an open AI reasoning model is already outperforming doctors in emergency diagnostics, using nothing but patient records.
Starting point is 00:03:45 And the AI for Good Global Summit, I had no idea this existed. it. The AI for Good Global Summit is rolling out real world applications to put silicon in service of humanity instead of the other way around. That is the great test, right? That is the great test. There's no doubt you can use it for good. People use it for good every day. They're making better lives, better things, better, you know what I mean? But it's not just, you know, the reality is it's not just about how we decide and choose. to use it.
Starting point is 00:04:21 You know, that's not what it's all about. That's not what it comes down to. It also comes down to, like, who people with big money and big power, how they decide to use it. Right? Because humanity can be as responsible and wonderful and, you know,
Starting point is 00:04:39 virtuous as possible with AI. But if two militaries decide that they're going to, you know, use AI to kill each other, and wind up doing something that ends the entire world. You know? So let's not make believe, I guess. What I'm saying is let's not make believe that there is this world where it's all up to the people just to be virtuous with their use of artificial intelligence on their laptop.
Starting point is 00:05:12 It's my point, right? We're going to do a preper tech spotlight today, but I want to give you an email at the top of this segment. NBC guy at protonmail.com. All right. NBC guy at protonmail.com because we're going to talk about the Dave Jones thumb drive. We're going to talk about the Dave Jones drive that contains some of the best information on the web. We're talking about a great how to build a bunker in your backyard for 500 bucks. Yeah. Yep, you heard me right.
Starting point is 00:05:52 We're talking about his incredible classes on viral preparation for pandemics, largely, and his nuclear war class, which is, is NBC, what is it practical NBC in a collapsing environment or something? I don't know it off the top of my head, but it's the preper camp class. It's a great class. It's amazing. In fact, I think. I think I have his movement class I gotta give him. I gotta tell him that.
Starting point is 00:06:27 He did a movement class at a family movement in ShtF. Man, it was so fun. It was so good. But he's got all that on his thumb drive and then all kinds of other great prepper documentation also. So for today's Preper Tech Spotlight, I want to talk about the NBC guy's thumb drive that he sells with his great classes on it
Starting point is 00:06:49 that you can get nowhere else. Well, if you're a member, you can get them. Good luck finding them. If you really want them and you remember, just let me know and I'll get you a link to it. Actually, you know what? We may not have his class anymore because of YouTube. It depends on where I posted that last run. See, sometimes the old stuff, our last YouTube channel that got banned,
Starting point is 00:07:15 no big deal because we didn't have any member content on it anyway. But anyhow, Dave Jones, the NBC guy. incredible, incredible thumb drive, full of great prepper, knowledge, information, checklist, that kind of stuff. But also, you know, the real, the real sort of main course is his nuclear class, his pandemic class, and his how to build a bunker spotlight, which is, you know, it's a great story. It's a great, you know, amazing. Bunker, hidden armory. could use this build for a bunch of different things.
Starting point is 00:07:56 And I've been inside of it. It's like, it's sweet. There's a lot of, there's a lot of capability. I have been inside of this thing. It is not a fallacy. It's the real deal. So I think that is our closing beacon for the day, right? It's that time.
Starting point is 00:08:18 It's that time we lend our ears to the creators of the American Renaissance today. right today we will listen to ralph wado emerson one of the light keepers of your now i want to hear from you guys i want to hear i want you to go to our substack and i want you to answer our writing prompts honestly and i want to read them online and in fact i do have one that i could read online
Starting point is 00:08:48 because as much as i love reading these sort of closing beacon poetry and prose from from great authors of the past great literary figure heads, great poets. I really would like to read The Light Keepers. I really would like to read your thoughts on this modern age. Yeah, any way you get it to me, any way you want to, right? The best bet is to go to our substack, which is linked down below in the show notes, and answer the writing prompts or just send us something over there.
Starting point is 00:09:23 So from self-reliance. From self-reliance. Sorry, I'm looking at the wrong excerpt. society no this is not it either we've read this one where is my latest from emerson trust thyself that's the one trust thyself every heart vibrates to the iron string except the place the divine providence has found for you the society of your contemporaries the connection of events great men have always done so and confided themselves childlike to the genius of their age, betraying their perception that the absolutely trustworthy was seated at their heart,
Starting point is 00:10:16 communicating through their hands and dominating all things. We are now men and must accept in the highest mind the same transcendent destiny and not minors and invalids in a protected corner but guides, redeemers, and benefactor, obeying the almighty effort and advancing on chaos and the dark. That's lofty. That's lofty for sure, but that is Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Starting point is 00:10:45 And this has been Red Beacon Daily News for June 1st, 2026, folks. We will see you tomorrow.
