Starting point is 00:00:00 Society in every state is a blessing, but government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil. The future has already arrived. Welcome in folks. Our bodies are gardens to which our will our gardeners. Who knows it? Anybody? It's a weird quote from a pretty important character of Shakespearean play that I read back in high school, but not because they wanted me to because I had to basically for survival look into it it's it's from all those things are interesting because they're from the 1500s and when you read quotes like that it's always like still the same damn thing it's Iago I'll give you that much, and he goes on to talk about the things that you plant in your garden, and one of them is stinging nettle. And when
Starting point is 00:01:11 I read over that stanza, I don't know if it's good or bad in the way he talks about nettle. You know, I don't know, I'm imagining that they probably didn't know or did they know about the healing about the nutrient dense Stinging nettle. Did they eat it in the 1500s? I don't know to be honest with you Welcome into surviving America folks, it's I've been sort of like hit with a bunch of things from a bunch of different people in a bunch of different places and We're gonna try to spin them all into one show today episode 28 Episode 28 surviving America one per week
Starting point is 00:01:55 Yeah, how do we start? Where do we want to start? How is the chat room looking? It looks like we blew up over on X I wonder if I can remove that and add one Something's wrong over there. They're not allowing us to go live we're gonna jump to Instagram I was gonna open the shop with a Quote like an audio quote from tombstone
Starting point is 00:02:25 Because it's pretty rare that I care about Celebrity deaths, you know, but I do feel like that that character that he played in Tombstone was you know top notch Val Kilmer passed away was you know top-notch Val Kilmer passed away. What's this about Doc Holiday? Sorry I'm doing 40 things at one time here trying to trying to literally take the show and put it on a different platform while doing the intro to the show which not that big a deal. I got news from the NBC guy yesterday He comes to me like I don't know seven o'clock or something in the evening and tells me that The the Ukrainians are conscripting Romanians for the war and
Starting point is 00:03:16 Then just kind of like disappears after that leaves me with that and on my mind and heart And It leaves me with that on my mind and heart. And I get that kind of stuff all the time from people. Maybe it's one article. Maybe it's several. Maybe it's one instance or whatever the situation is. But when I get it from Dave Jones
Starting point is 00:03:39 and it has to do with Romania, I know that it's more than that. I know that it's information that that. I know that it's Information that's coming probably from Romania, right because it filters through the friends and the relatives and then into the The family like into Maria's family Dave's wife from Romania So that's when I got to start digging, you know, that's when I got to start digging and I happened upon The fact that as hard as it is to believe it is real now they're conscripting their own citizens Supposedly But undoubtedly they're they're pooling people from a born to brap. Good morning, man. Thanks for joining us today
Starting point is 00:04:32 without a doubt they're pulling people out of you know, it'd be like you work with a guy from Ukraine and all of a sudden like Military garbed up dudes show up and pull him off of the manufacturing line or off of the construction site or whatever and gone. And they say, you're sorry buddy, you got to come home. You got to come home and fight. Just what it is.
Starting point is 00:04:54 I'm not know too much about the loop at ecpr.eu. It's EU, right? It says, as Ukraine faces an urgent need to mobilize focus, it's shifted to enticing the Ukrainian diaspora to enlist, using population data from various sources. Iban Raymond explores the multifaceted legality of Ukraine's repatriation initiative. Yeah, this article out when? they don't give me a date Eban Raymond, thank you for the article. But what this is back in 2024 they were moving in this direction and We've talked about the martial law situation look
Starting point is 00:05:43 The whole story is important, you know, when we're talking about wars and particularly wars that we have a high likelihood of being drug drug into, you know. I will remind you from a personal perspective, one of the adages or some of the ethos of PBN here, Some of the ethos of PBN here real war Equals off-grid War equals off-grid and that's what you have to put put your in your head and prepare yourself for you know what I mean Should you find whether you're listening to us in Europe or whatever it is? Brave hearts in Instagram says they should get their little sawed-off leader to go fight.
Starting point is 00:06:28 You mean Voldemort Zelensky? We'll see. Who knows? Who knows what the future may hold? But I can tell you that from reading this article and validating the fact that Ukraine is heading into Nearby nations to pull out Romanian citizens who fled the war There's a bunch of takeaways, you know what I mean it
Starting point is 00:06:55 and When you're doing things like that What is preventing you from pooling people? What is preventing you from pooling people? What is preventing you from pooling people who... I got a question mark message from future Dan. I just want to see what's coming next. Oh, I think this might have to do with... Oh God, do we have stuff for you guys to do?
Starting point is 00:07:25 Oh my goodness. You know, to take full advantage of this network, I mean, it kind of is a handful. I'm going to be honest with you. It's kind of a handful. So let's see. So like I said, it's an interesting wrinkle in the whole war phase and situation. What's stopping Ukrainian forces from showing up and saying, hey, I thought you were the guy we needed, but turns out you're not.
Starting point is 00:07:59 But since you're here, you might as well fight anyway, right? The Germans are moving eastward putting soldiers in the east, you know, you could argue that the United States is Good at conducting wars in faraway places and when I say good at it, I don't necessarily mean victory. I mean You know, we we got a lot of experience happens pretty often We got a lot of experience, happens pretty often. Nobody starts world wars like Europe, man. That's what makes me the most nervous. But at the same time, I do like the military deterrent being built up in the EU. I like it. Another story that caught my eye that is one of the most sort of silly things that I think I've seen in a long time
Starting point is 00:08:46 first of all Cory Booker silly to begin with in my opinion just a silly guy to begin with like I it's a sad it's actually sad really for the left wing in the and the Liberals of the country that this guy is I can't look at the article at Forbes. I guess it's gonna have a seizure But the best response That the Democrats could come up with To deal with Donald Trump doing things, you know with the foot with with Potentiality for the benefit of American the American people was to have a have Cory Booker get up there and record it and the American people was to have a have Cory Booker get up there and record it basically a 25-hour long speech blasting Donald Trump and breaking
Starting point is 00:09:31 the record for the longest speech as if breaking a record means anything in the face of you know what it is we're dealing with in the world today. You know, it's one of those... Here's what it is. Well, there's two things about this story that really bug me, okay? The first is what could Cory Booker and his buddies have achieved if they spent 25 hours trying to actually make a difference, particularly in Democrat run cities across the country. So if instead of griping and crybabying on the Senate or the Congressional floor, if he took 25 hours to sit down and really brainstorm how to fix things in the United States, what
Starting point is 00:10:23 kind of effect did you have? Rather than reading letters from constituents and taking questions that you already know the answer to, you know, to sit there in the mass of people who are listening to a 25-hour speech from a guy like Cory Booker, you have to already recognize you're in just a massive chamber of echoes, right? Like nobody's gonna say anything profound Nobody's gonna say anything Interesting where you go like oh, wow. I Never would have imagined that that's that's really thought-provoking Cory Booker Donald Trump evil Right, Elon Musk dumb. That's my new favorite
Starting point is 00:11:03 Elon Musk is stupid He's an idiot. I Just love that. I hope people say that forever. I can't wait to just sit around and listen to people You know struggling with Getting out of bed in the morning tell the world that Elon Musk is an idiot. I just it's it's indicative of what we're dealing with. But anyway this guy this guy Cory who he's been a laughingstock for a long time. I mean he said the craziest things back before he was of note you know. You know he's a representative out of Jersey, so you kind of figure it.
Starting point is 00:11:47 Where's his line here? I rise with the intention of getting in some good trouble. I don't know what that means. I rise with the intention of disrupting the normal business of the United States Senate for as long as I am physically able. I rise tonight because I believe sincerely that our country is in crisis. Which brings us to problem two, Corey. Problem two is we had a husk of a human being at the helm for four years.
Starting point is 00:12:26 A man with dementia, a man who was incapable of being prosecuted because his mental acuity wasn't there. Yet Cory Booker never rose. He did not rise and say, I am rise with the intention of getting in some good trouble I believe sincerely that our country is in crisis we had no president we had no president we have a president now you don't like so you you know there's a lot of rising going on. But Corey, we had no president for four years.
Starting point is 00:13:17 We were damn near a nuclear war and we had no president to go meet with Putin. There was nobody to go. There was there was nothing. You see, these are the things. The truth has a certain ring to it. Integrity has a certain smell to it. That's what happened in Wisconsin, by the way. Elon Musk did make a dumb move in Wisconsin and gave money away during an election He made himself too much of a priority in Wisconsin and that's why they lost
Starting point is 00:13:52 Because Truth that's a certain ring to it and integrity has a certain smell to it. And that's just the way that it is And I think enough people got put off by what was happening there. Like what's happening here? Who is this guy? Why is he handing out checks? You know The moment I read that musk was handing out checks in wisconsin to people who showed up There was only two people but it's it doesn't matter. Don't you understand what matters is the reverberation in the mind of the average american? Right what they hear what goes in the head and what bounces around in the head. Why is this guy paying people off to vote? Why is this rich guy paying people off to vote?
Starting point is 00:14:34 And I think in that moment it was done. I think in that moment it was done and Yeah, just is what it is. It just is what it is. It just is what it is. So let's talk about you for a little bit. Let's talk about you for a little bit. It is April. I will be, we will be running for our lives in April. Okay, we will be conducting a sort of a fitness schedule if you will, a routine, one of our monthly
Starting point is 00:15:05 routines that will be based around running. That's the title, Run for Your Life. I'm going to offer you up a variety of ways to keep yourself engaged because I know for some people running can be hell. I will tell you that it's merely a matter of repetition like anything else right so the more you do it the more you start to enjoy it and and once you really start to enjoy it it becomes almost essential but when that routine goes out which will probably be in this week's email list and I'll put it in element and and you know on Instagram and I'll try to get it as many places as I can Probably the best place to get it will be PB and family calm
Starting point is 00:15:52 But you know, that's what we're gonna focus on the weather is gonna be nice Maybe a little chilly in the mornings chilly in the evenings great great running weather There'll be some other things on the routine, of course as always When I ask a lot of you over these next few months, you know, in May we're going to be, we're building right now sort of a framework for this ration or ruin challenge. Okay, and the ration or ruin challenge is going to test the might of your willpower, it's going to test your ability to go without food possibly. It's going to test your body's ability to deal with real survival food. We have this idea that we're going to eat survival food, we store survival food, everything's
Starting point is 00:16:40 going to be fine, we'll eat that survival food for weeks on end and and and that'll be that What's really gonna happen What's really gonna happen to you after a week of eating that stuff what's gonna happen to your body What's gonna happen to your digestive tract your GI tract, right? So fundamentally there are things we know about Rashin-ur-ruin that we've established and the things we don't know, okay? We're kind of building it out, but what we do know is we're gonna have successive successive sort of situation scenario where there'll be days where you eat
Starting point is 00:17:21 only the survival food that you have, and then there will be days where you eat only the survival food that you have and then there will be days where you eat only that which grows in the wild or can be harvested in the wild. I'm going to try to push the guys to, and it'll give me an edge so it's kind of cheating a little bit, but I think it's important. And it's an important aspect of survival. I'm going to push the guys to allow for other long-term food storage items that are DIY packaged, like the staples that we store, and also to allow for eating. On the days when we're not eating survival food
Starting point is 00:18:01 and we're supposed to be foraging uh for those days We could also eat from our gardens from our uh homesteading outputs I I kind of like that. I'm not saying it'll get the vote. You know what I mean? I'm not a tyrant and this was not even my idea. This is the uh future danger guys They always do an amazing challenge every year and I just you know Put my two cents in and and try to survive it but uh It's going to be a good time and for the first time the framework and everything is going to be available to you
Starting point is 00:18:39 To do exactly the same thing, you know gotham get out was fun But it wasn't something you could pull off without help and scheduling and that kind of stuff. But this right here, this is going to be very personal. It'll be tough. It'll be tough if you are concerned about your beach body. Conduct a rash in a ruin run. And I can guarantee you might not be as muscled up as you'd like to be but you'll struggle
Starting point is 00:19:11 Phoenix in the chat says I'm going completely refined sugar-free again. Oh, that's tough Natural sugars for the win. Yeah, that keto business is tough. I remember not that you're doing keto, but I remember the doing it. You know what I mean? I remember the feeling of eliminating sugar and carbs for a while. And like the keto flu and all that kind of stuff. It's real.
Starting point is 00:19:36 It's real. So the Ration to Ruin Challenge in May. Prepare yourself. If you want to test yourself, if you want to test, if you really want to see where you're at. I think at the very least, I would conduct ration or ruin for a week. We're going to go for the month.
Starting point is 00:19:58 In a week's time, you'll know everything you need to know about your survival, your family's survival. Do you have enough food? Do you have enough skills? Do you have the right equipment? You know what I mean? It really only will take about a week Once you see the framework, you don't have to go the whole month. You don't have to test your might But you can if you want I'll tell you what Maybe we'll put together and I'd have to take you on your word, so it's not going to be something astounding.
Starting point is 00:20:33 But I have seen some relatively affordable challenge coins made of wood, you know what I mean, through Etsy that are pretty affordable to buy and if If you go the length of ration a ruin I'll commit to sending you out a challenge coin with ration to ruin on it and Yeah, that'll be the thing. That'll be the deal All right, so we'll set it up. We'll get it all worked out I may make a critical error right here and now. I'm gonna go let my dogs in
Starting point is 00:21:08 because the little puppy sounds like he's getting his entrails pulled out from his belly button right now. He wants to come in so bad. So give me a minute. I'm gonna run this Lima Tango ad and let the dogs in, okay? in okay Ah Lima tango man, whoo They got it. I'm telling you right now. They got it visit them visit the website pick you guys one of these up Throw it in all your bags. Okay, the Lima tango fire kit
Starting point is 00:22:03 It's got all the goods man I'll tell you this much if you buy a Lima tango kit This is probably one of my favorites right the wax soaked cotton swab We get the fire tab if if you pick up a Lima tango fire kit And you can't make a fire with what's inside fat wood You got a lot of you got a lot of work to do it's a really good measure of where you're at with your fire craft with what's inside. Fat wood. You got a lot of work to do. It's a really good measure of where you're at with your fire craft, you know? And these are cheap, they're 25 bucks.
Starting point is 00:22:33 They also come with a lighter. They come with a pencil sharpener for shavings. All kinds of great stuff, man. My favorite is the Lima Tango lighter because I like lighters. There's also a Fire Striker in there too a little orange one cool Leave a tango comm folks, you know get hey look at me What am I gonna be am I gonna be I
Starting point is 00:22:58 Really don't want to tell this thing to you know, we could do a zoom in number I bet that'll help see Johnny five will zoom in He'll get me and if I give him the l he'll zoom back out boom Uh Okay Modify keto j ferg in there talking giving me the perfect segue you are by the way Because something another thing we're going to be working on because we don't have enough going on there's not enough going on in life we need more things to do more challenges more crazy stuff if you haven't noticed right I
Starting point is 00:23:36 take my personal interests and lay them on you and like and you know, it's like I toss them up in the air you pull down what you like and and keep it anything you don't like let it filter on through but this is how I've always done it here at PBN right I'll tell you the things that I'm doing maybe test you to do the things that I'm doing and from doing all that you'll come away the things that I'm doing. And from doing all that, you'll come away with things that really work. You know what I mean? Really work.
Starting point is 00:24:10 It might even change your life. It's not like a game plan that I came up with. It's what I do with other things that I listen to. So let's talk for a minute about another aspect of things that we'll be testing. Now, I guess the timing on this will have to play out through April, which is fine. I'm calling it Commander Creatine.
Starting point is 00:24:37 Commander Creatine. Creatine is one of these things that I have always thought was bad Bad for you I don't know. It always had like a negative connotation. You know what I mean? It was always one of those things. It's attributed to Bodybuilders and a variety of problems there and it felt steroid even though, you know, it wasn't um, and it's been on my mind a lot lately because I wasn't. And it's been on my mind a lot lately because in certain podcasts I listen to, I've heard
Starting point is 00:25:06 sparingly people talk about the cognitive benefits of taking creatine. More study, more research has shown that this stuff goes, it doesn't just go to muscles and fill them with water and help in recovery of muscles. It goes to the bones, it goes to to the brain it helps with things like sleep Deprivation and it helps older people who have cognitive decline What it's been shown in Studies out of Germany is that it gives the brain more energy to do the things that it's supposed to do as the brain begins to age
Starting point is 00:25:49 Now it's supposed to do as the brain begins to age. Now whatever you know all of that is cool all that is you know fundamentally hearsay to you right now until you do your own research right. I'm coming to you with it having I don't know probably three months six months something like that hearing it as part of different Podcasts and you know it turning my head in that kind of thing and then I kind of doubled down Maybe over the last month Something like that on on figuring out is this legit? Is this another fat? Is this a keto is this you know what I mean? Not that there's anything wrong keto, but you know how things go
Starting point is 00:26:23 Yeah, right like when it comes to fitness and health they're just number one you got to find out what works for you right but in you got to try stuff you know what I mean like you got to try stuff to see what works so this is the thing that we're gonna try and see what it does see what it's all about. The real kicker for me, and you guys have heard the name a million times, but the real kicker for me was it was almost like destiny. It's really weird.
Starting point is 00:26:57 But it's almost like destiny. I am sitting there having just bought two bottles of creatine gummies. See, they have gummies out. I don't know if they're going to work. We're going to see. It'll be pretty easy to measure for a guy like me. It'll be pretty easy to measure within two to three weeks' time whether or not they're making a difference or not.
Starting point is 00:27:19 But all that said, creatine gummies in route to the house. And I'm still kind of on the fence but I'm like you know let's give it a whirl well you know it's one of those things like I said that'll be pretty easy to measure pretty quickly work out a lot run a lot do a lot of physically demanding stuff it'll be pretty easy to say oh I feel a lot. I feel like I have a lot more energy in these workouts than normal If it doesn't work you stop if it you know, whatever but the real kicker for me was literally yesterday like the
Starting point is 00:27:55 The gummies will either arrive today or tomorrow um And i'll show you the brand and all that i'm going to do a deeper dive on in prep or fit and health on this And I'll show you the brand and all that I'm gonna do a deeper dive on in prep or fit and health on this Because it's something that I want you guys to get into too if you feel so inclined and Not necessarily like hurry up and buy some creatine to start taking it I want you to look into it and I'll talk to you about the the people that I've watched in detail over at prep or fit and health so you can do the same kind of research. But fundamentally when it comes to nutrition largely, there is one voice above all for me and it's Dr. Rhonda Patrick from foundmyfitness.com. Because Rhonda started
Starting point is 00:28:38 as a scientist who never worked out and then she started working out and then she kind of got obsessed with like the science of fitness and the science of nutrition combined and it's yeah, you know Look in the world There are people you go to There are people that you seek out when you really want to find who's like buried in this thing like I watch this guy When you really want to find who's like buried in this thing like I watched this guy His name is Jay and he has a YouTube channel called eons a battle and he talks like
Starting point is 00:29:16 He's got a really sort of feminine kind of talk Not a typical to what I want to hear But he's got long hair. He wears a brown apron. And he's like balding at the top of his head. He's got long black hair. He looks almost like somebody out of a fantasy game. But he's the guy. He's the guy you go to when you want to talk
Starting point is 00:29:46 When you want to hear about something as dorky as Warhammer When you want to see a person who's totally wrapped up in the world of painting miniature figurines of warfighters space Marines and such there's a guy right like there's a guy out there in the internet waiting for you and He's the guy and I found them years ago I realized this because my son wanted to learn how to play Pokemon like all kinds of kids They trade Pokemon cards, but really very few kids play Pokemon anymore I don't even know if they do it anymore, but when he was coming up, it was big to trade him
Starting point is 00:30:19 It was big to buy him. Oh, I got this most powerful one And I remember telling him let's learn to play it and play it and I'm so happy we did because we had so much fun playing Pokemon. Until he until he really upgraded his deck and I kind of just had a run of the middle deck because I wasn't like into it like that. I was just playing with him to play to learn how to play but we found a guy in a cape with long hair
Starting point is 00:30:44 and he but we found a guy in a cape with long hair and He on you he was the guy like he was the Pokemon guy you you seen him and you're like I'd never watch this guy in a million years But I need to learn how to play Pokemon and he was the dude for that You know and that's what you know when it comes to nutrition. That's what Rhonda is So it comes down to finding those people sometimes for me, the legitimacy of it. Good call, Hunter. Hunter, the man behind Hammer Talk says,
Starting point is 00:31:14 I wear a brown apron too. What's that have to do with anything? No, it's the whole look and the fit and the background and you just gotta see it. Go if you want, if you're curious, just go watch a video by eons of battle and you'll be like you might get through 10 You might get through 30 seconds of it. Okay But again, I it's just finding the person who is the perfect combination of passion and expert you know what I mean passion and expertise and
Starting point is 00:31:42 That's that dude for that particular thing so yesterday, like I said, I, it's middle of the day. And Rhonda literally releases an hour and a half podcast with an expert on creatine. And it was just one of those things like, it's time. It's time to see what's what. So what I'll be doing, I'll talk more about what I'll be doing over at Prepper Fit and Health but it's it'll be a you know it'll be an
Starting point is 00:32:10 exploration of that. Okay it may be your thing maybe not I don't know. Not too worried about it in terms of how many people you know go to bat that way. What else folks? What else, folks? What else? I've got some article stuff up. Let's look at Com's Depot real quick. Let's look at it. We'll wrap the show up with a little look at Com's Depot
Starting point is 00:32:40 because it's such a great resource. It's such a great resource, and there's a lot of good stuff coming. It's a question that a lot of people have. Right, it's something that a lot of people want to get into and it can be a bit intimidating. Fundamentally, the Comms Depot website is important to us because it's got you know, American-made Communications emergency communications products listed our buddies. I'm wearing a mad gear shirt right now our buddies from mad gear company
Starting point is 00:33:14 They you know, they put out good stuff. They're making crazy innovative products 3d printed stuffed inside of those weird nicotine boxes and You know, he's one of those guys that it feels like this is really just the beginning You know what? I mean, that's what it feels like It feels like like our man over there at mad gear cuz when I first met the guy he was making Like 8-bit t-shirts with nuclear bombs on them like nuclear explosions and now he's pumping out really cool contingency planners and Awesome like legitimate Meshtastic nodes and radios and doing great content on Instagram too, but I want you guys to go to comsdpo.com. Check it out
Starting point is 00:34:01 See what's what man? I mean the education section is one of those things, if you can nerd out on that kind of stuff, you know, and get into it. 3D printing ham, radios, there's a whole prefab and 3D printing section, I think, right, yeah, weather meters, 3D printed parts, field computers, antennas, mesh-tastic, radio, solar,
Starting point is 00:34:23 and again, this is a veteran owned business a guy who's deployed right now Good guy. He's gonna put some really cool stuff together for our audience And uh, he knows his stuff. He's the guy, you know again, we're back to that thing We're back to who do you go to for your emergency comm stuff? Why do you think I don't talk about it in detail because I go to people for it I'm just trying to be the conduit for all these weird subsects of the prepping world and bringing you the experts and the you know the people who inspire me and
Starting point is 00:34:56 in in their way or improve my life and you know what through their expertise and their passion because it works if it didn't work I wouldn't talk to you about it. You know what I mean? So check them out coms depot.com Folks I'm gonna call it today. There's a little bit too much activity in the house. It's It kind of obnoxious to try to do a podcast. You know what I mean with it? The dogs are going crazy There's a kid upstairs the wife's wandering around all that kind of stuff. So it's just it's one of those days I'm a little distracted. I do apologize for that. Maybe you noticed maybe it didn't either way I think we touched on some great stuff today
Starting point is 00:35:34 Stay tuned What I don't know if anything's coming on later tonight, actually, I forgot the Patriot power Our guys were Tuesday night. They were last night. they had an amazing show hitting on all the big stuff listen to the yesterday show on the Trump tariffs if you haven't heard it yet because today's the day it's Liberation Day as they say we'll see about that as you can tell I'm not too sold on the tariffs but we'll see we'll see all right folks visit PBN family calm and listen we talked about the routines, we talked about Ration of Ruin, we talked about Commander Creatine.
Starting point is 00:36:10 Do something new man, try something out, you know? Do something new, explore something. It might turn out that it all sucks. No harm, no foul, but at least you broke up the monotony of life, right? Alright, talk to you guys
