Starting point is 00:00:00 Society in every state is a blessing. The government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil. The future has already arrived. Good day, BBN Family. Welcome into Surviving America, episode 31. It is I, the intrepid commander of this space hulk, and we're gonna have ourselves a show. Probably pretty news heavy. I took the day off yesterday of news and spent the whole day out writing at another location rather than here.
Starting point is 00:00:51 In a day's time, the news is so brutal that in a day's time, you really do go through some pretty severe... You go through some pretty severe... I don't know. it's a good thing. But the next day you realize like, oh, I'm behind. Or maybe I'm not behind. Maybe I'm healthy. It's the old, it's not necessarily an old quote either, but it's the old, what's his
Starting point is 00:01:23 name? Duncan Trussell line. of my favorite lines man? I look Duncan Trussell if you can handle him. He's so much fun And his head is he's in the pocket man But anyway, it's the old Duncan Trussell line that goes Some poor fool is sitting in front, no, some poor phone-less fool is sitting in front of a waterfall somewhere with no idea how terrified he should be. I always love that.
Starting point is 00:01:54 I love that line. It speaks volumes of kind of what we're dealing with. I'm trying to go live over at Instagram right now for that crew. I don't know if it's going to work. It doesn't seem like it's going to work. Whatever is what it is. You got one more chance. Oh, there we are. We're on.
Starting point is 00:02:16 Okay. Not sure what that was. Nothing works well anymore. It seems like that involves internet or connectivity. I feel like real serious concerns about connectivity in the future. But don't worry, you know, we'll go to, we will go radio broadcast if we have to, you know what I mean? Yes, Firewolf in chat, I am dawning a year, damn near a year in the making. This was supposed to be given to
Starting point is 00:02:43 me at Prepper Camp, but I didn't go go I didn't face down Helene and this hoodie here was was given out to all the voice actors in the changing earth audio drama from the one and only Sarah Hathaway the writer of what is the best survival series you've never watched or heard of, unfortunately, for you and the rest of the world. And we hope it changes that, right? I really hope it changes. There is so much garbage on television and elsewhere
Starting point is 00:03:16 that it would be a magic thing to see Sarah Hathaway's series take off. Get a shot. Get a chance. Get some eyes on it and take off. You know what I mean be huge absolutely huge So it is what it is. Welcome everybody over there 12 stones homestead. How are you?
Starting point is 00:03:32 Fida Phoenix is doing double duty heaven is possible. Thanks for joining us over at Instagram This will go away. So enjoy it while you have it for the rest of you podcast audience Rumble YouTube and so forth you guys can like share subscribe Write me a letter. What? whatever else You know we could use this week we got a lot of things in the works a lot of fun stuff I'd like to do a lot of things happening on the back end. It would be We need some new members. That's what we need. We need a nice little wave of new membership over at PBN family.com
Starting point is 00:04:12 That'd be a big help So go to PBN family comm check out the membership website tremendous amounts of stuff man just all kinds of things from documentation to podcasts to trainings to courses, of course you join the ranks of the continuity and you know Basically become a part of that community To meet and discuss the real continuity of civilization once a month Faced down by some sort of epic disaster scenario this month or, or next month, May rather, is going to be, it's going to be one of those ones that everybody kind of
Starting point is 00:04:50 feels like is coming. Hasn't happened in a while, but feels like it's coming. So I'm, when we first started the content, or restarted the continuity, I started thinking that it, this is going to be a means to expand on disaster preparedness, probably in your local area with police emergency services, that kind of thing, the takeaways from those meetings. And the first meeting that we did was a little regional, tailored to certain regions, so we didn't get to experience that.
Starting point is 00:05:23 But this one, very different. This one will be very different. You don't get to experience that but this one very different this one will be very different you don't want to miss out on go to PBN family calm become a member it's as affordable as anything in your life okay if you've been with us a long time you really should take advantage of the lifetime membership you could be a lifetime member now right off the right off the curb too. I mean it's the best deal by far. It's essentially like a four-year membership basically. A little more than a four-year. So many of you have already paid for it. Many of you in the long
Starting point is 00:05:56 boat have been paid for us as a lifetime member and god. You start scrolling through those long term members, man. And it's like, wow. All this stuff that goes on at PBN, this is you guys. This is you guys. This is those members who have been in it since we came to the shocking realization that we were never going to be paid
Starting point is 00:06:24 by one of these social networks you know what I mean like this idea that I'm creating something and the hosts you are creating something that is gonna be mass digestible and all that kind of stuff it's just it's not us you know what I mean but what is us is the membership you guys make the world go around but without further ado We got stuff to talk about today. We have got Well, we're gonna see what's out there. I did want to brief everyone on the the neophytes Also, the logo is on the back. I don't know where you get these
Starting point is 00:06:58 I guess you could probably buy one at the changing earth Say author Sarah Hathaway comm let me check I got to do justice to my sister off sister Sarah here Changing earth I have a feeling Would be the deal Nope author Sarah Hathaway will get you there author Sarah F Hathaway will get you there Sarah s a ra Where is the oh no, maybe not. Hmm. Yeah, there it is. There's some gear get your gear Beautiful sights there by the way, it's always changing I feel like or I don't go there enough one of the other garden girl is over there in Instagram. What is up? I'm gonna be coming back to Instagram in a few
Starting point is 00:07:49 Maybe like 10 ish. You know what? I mean? I'll be back here with a with a real live stream. I Got some things to show you guys that I haven't showed off yet that are are prepping Okay fire wolf forage got a Pace webinar today. Pace, Pace, guys, Pace, listen. Pace is actually an upcoming character in the World of Ready series, by the way. Yep, we have a character named Pace, we have a character named Murphy, our last character, our character that's in the new book that's coming out that you can pre-order on Mother's Day, or you can pre-order on Mother's Day Or you can pre-order now. It's coming out on Mother's Day. Um, is a character named craft
Starting point is 00:08:31 But yeah pace is huge Pace is probably the simplest way to build out preparedness in your life, you know, because you can apply it to everything Your coffee can have a pace plan. You know what I mean? Some guys have a pace plan. You know what I mean? Some guys have a pace plan with their women Who gets that how many see only on on PBN are there people laughing about that, right? Some women have a pace plan with men. It's true. So Man it's fun to be a part of this I can I tell you that like that's a joke that bounces off
Starting point is 00:09:09 95% of people in the world. Probably they don't even get it. They're going like what's that mean? You should know what that means if you're if you're new you should know that you need a primary alternate contingency and emergency that's the acronym primary alternate contingency emergency and Whatever you apply that to you're going to be way more prepared. You know what I mean? Like most people's primary flashlight is that. You know what I mean? Alternate contingency emergency. You need three other options. You can apply it to food. You can apply it to communications. You can apply it to things like fire making pace pace works with everything I mean it really does and it can work to improve the every aspect of your life if you apply it, you know
Starting point is 00:09:53 You go out you're loaded for bear I mean I even apply pace to things like Like paintball, you know what? I mean mean? You can apply it to everything. Strategy the whole nine. And it probably is the single, like Murphy's Law, sometimes I use Murphy's Law to get through the day. Anybody else do that? Anybody else like, everything's going to go wrong today,
Starting point is 00:10:20 so just mentally prepare for that. You know what I mean? But PACE to me is probably, yeah, it's better than the OODA loop, I would say. PACE is the single best acronym for improvement in preparedness by far. By far. Because it's just simple.
Starting point is 00:10:39 You just look at a thing, and you go, could this be a problem? OK. What's my alternate to this thing? What's my contingency if the alternate doesn't work? Okay, what's my emergency if all three others have failed? What's my emergency? And then immediately you're in a good situation like immediately you're in a much better situation and you know the real the real lost benefit, the benefit that's lost on the average American, the benefit that I would like to convey, that's probably going to be my next sub stack or something like that.
Starting point is 00:11:14 My next sub stack piece needs to be prepping for mental health because it's done such a 180 in the world. When I first got into prepping, it was like, preppers are mentally ill. That was fundamentally it. Like you didn't hear mentally ill as much back in 2010. But when I first got into prepping, that's what it was like. It was like, you know, they're these crazy, uh in these these hoarding, paranoid, militant, you know, survivalists and preppers out there, they're absolutely nuts.
Starting point is 00:11:48 They believe, they're so insane that they believe that a bad thing could happen. In our incredible utopian society, they believe that a bad thing could happen and could disrupt your life. That was what it was to be a prepper back in 2010, right? Now it's a total 180. Everyone's on SSRIs and insane. And we, the preppers, are like, you really got to start prepping. It's way better than antidepressants. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:12:28 I'm telling you right now. And the reason I'll explain for that, I mean, many of you out there listening, you get it. Many of you out there have been listening to us for a long time, you understand. But for those of you listening going like, how's putting 50 pounds of rice up in my closet going to help my mental health. It's not that. It's not one thing. You know what I mean? It's building out your base
Starting point is 00:12:51 level preparedness. It's being prepared for having pace plans for numerous things because we... I don't even know that we live in a less stable world, but all the instability is presented on A tray every day right and that tray is your news feed your Google feed your drudge report Whatever it is like every day the instability is delivered to you front and center We were watching the sunset last night in a parking lot and I was thinking to myself everything in the natural world We were watching the sunset last night in a parking lot and I was thinking to myself, everything in the natural world, like aside from injury and illness,
Starting point is 00:13:34 and maybe starvation if you didn't know how to survive out there, but like everything in the natural world just goes, it just continues. None of it sucks. None of it, It's so rare That it drags you down into the depths of depression that the human way does You know what? I mean? And I remember what like we walked into the store might be my sons and there was a son The Sun was getting close to setting but I told my oldest son I said because he brought it up said oh look at that sunset and I said sunset. And I said, Oh, by the way, now we're going to get into tangent, tangent, tangent. By the way, if you marvel at the sunsets, then your kids
Starting point is 00:14:13 will learn to marvel at the sunsets. And that that fits everything. Never underestimate your attention and what you give your attention and time to and how much more that affects your kids than you sit in there going and what you need to do is this and you need to get yourself in shape, you hear me? And you need to get, you know what I mean? What you give your diligence and your attention to when you're raising kids that is what the kids become in my experience because for years my kids 13 the oldest for years I have go because it's just out of sheer like enjoyment. I turn and oh god. Look at the sunset man's beautiful and
Starting point is 00:14:57 I think it's probably the first time or maybe you know handful but one of the first times that he's gone Oh, look that sunset. It's beautiful And you just hear it, you know handful but one of the first times that he's gone. Oh look that sunset. It's beautiful And you just hear it. You know it you're like mission accomplished But when we came back out man, it was even it was really a sunset, you know, it was What the hell did it look like It looked like a pink. It looked like a grapefruit colored heaven with like a band of smoke in the background, right? That's what it looked like. Like this, there was like these smoky pink clouds. And then beyond that there were clouds with so much texture
Starting point is 00:15:40 that it was like, it looked like a little city, you know up there in the sky Firewolf Ford's is getting getting boys to say something as beautiful as a milestone. Well, their dad is like a gushy You know a Gushy thing. Let's go with that Never forget that guy those of you out there watching like never forget that the the commander Did not Did not sit down in front of this microphone a fully formed thing You know what? I mean, like when I started this prepping stuff. I was such a waste Like when I started getting in front of a microphone and talking about prepping I was so unprepared
Starting point is 00:16:23 I was such a different thing, man. And only through like the magic of consistency. And the really another huge part of my preparedness is the like the family. And I don't mean my family. They pushed me here. Right. My family definitely pushed me into prepping. Not physically, but like just me watching it all come together and being like, oh, I got to take care of all this. This is important. I mean, the PBN family. I mean, Jordan. I mean, Dave Jones. I mean, people like Firewolf Forge in chat. I mean, the community. What most people would call the tribe. Right. This PBN thing really has given
Starting point is 00:17:08 me the greater tribe, the greater American tribe of preppers. That's really what it is. My tendrils would never have reached out to as many people and hopefully I affect them in a positive way. I hope when James's email or phone number hits the phone or the inbox that they're like, oh, cool, it's James. But what I'm getting at is those people, Ryan Buford, Dave Jones, Dane D, like these guys have really fast tracked my whole situation in prepping in more ways than I could mention in one show,
Starting point is 00:17:47 you know what I mean? But they have really fast-tracked. The greater American preppers tribe has fundamentally fast-tracked me. So when you look upon the commander, if you ever are like, that guy looks like he's got it together. Just understand it certainly didn't start that way and It is by the hands of many you know what I mean that I've gotten where I'm at which is hardly you know, I went to Dave Jones homestead the other day and you go to Dave Jones homestead and like You can't walk two feet without food in numerous ways. You can't walk two feet.
Starting point is 00:18:27 And if you can recognize wild edibles like I can, then you see the Dave Jones homestead even. You see the potential of it. It's even greater than what the average person sees. But when you walk on the Dave Jones homestead, you can't walk around the perimeter of his house without moving from food. There's food over here. Okay, there's food over here okay there's food let's walk around this food there's food back there there's food up the hill there's more food you know what i mean it's just diabolical um and again people like that are important you know you don't i don't think in the prepping and homesteading thing you want to be at the top of the heap I don't think in the prepping and homesteading thing you want to be at the top of the heap.
Starting point is 00:19:11 You always want to go somewhere or see something that is like, oh, I need to step game up because you know, just is what it is. How in the hell did we go from, hey, let's look at some news today to this talk, which is way better than news, by the way. Way better than news. Let me check in here. I don't even know if i can scroll through these instagram comments i have no idea how a bunch of people in here thanks so much for joining us guys listen if you're in the instagram thing uh you really should follow me over there because i do lives and the lives will be there for you Like if you're watching this and you're like, oh, this is cool. This guy's kind of fun You got to follow me because when these when these lives go away, they're gone. I Can't do the podcast and have it stay up on Instagram. They don't allow it
Starting point is 00:19:57 so if you want to get The full scope and I will be on probably in an hour from now on Instagram. You got to follow You understand follow and what would really help is if you told everyone about it, too. You said hey look there's this guy He don't look like He's graying. You know what? I mean the world's had his way with him a bit, but he knows this stuff So So what else? Should we get into some news? What else do I have on the I got like three notes fundamentally, so I don't want to forget them.
Starting point is 00:20:31 And nothing, nothing pressing at the moment. We already talked about membership. I may talk about Jordan Peterson on Joe Rogan yesterday said some interesting things That kind of got me going But welcome in only on Thursday's that Tiano warrior MMA The the Phoenix is holding it down in there. I appreciate that The Hoff Hell's Runner welcome in Instagram suite. It's good time Let's take a look where we want to go Let's go to the Chinese bought known to a good time. Let's take a look. Where do we want to go? Let's go to the Chinese bought and owned Drudge Report. Let's do that. The Drudge Report used to be awesome, but now it's so predictable.
Starting point is 00:21:15 I believe that if the person who owns it isn't Chinese, then he is taking money from them. Tesla profits plunge, doge days over. That's the main headlines. And they've got what looks like an AI artwork of everything's AI. Abominable intelligence. Everything is AI. Everything will become AI this is one of the reasons why you if you're new you should really dig into PBN you know what I mean in all transparency some of my show backgrounds
Starting point is 00:21:58 and and and whatever they're called this shit me. Some of that I use AI to make, particularly if it's like an idea. But you know what? I've been doing it less and less because they're more targeted kind of show concepts. But you'll never, you know, there's going to come a time, folks, where I could be sitting right here talking to you.
Starting point is 00:22:22 Like this stuff happens already. But I'm sitting here talking to you like this stuff happens already but I'm sitting here talking to you and you'll be like I don't know if that's him or not I miss James I wish I knew that was James because I'm not sure anymore so the main headline Tesla profits plunge and we got an AI Tesla with like ice coming off the tires because it's AI and fire burning on the back and on the hood. I don't even want to read that one. I'm not going to read most of them. I'm just going to remark. I'm just going to have fun remarking. But whoever's on the game, whoever's on the ownership here, they're, you know.
Starting point is 00:22:59 DeSantis faces growing storm over Hope Florida controversy. Everybody's always going to kill Ron DeSantis, but it never seems to happen. Right? DeSantis is losing to Disney. DeSantis is losing to this one, that one. That's a dude I'd like to clone. I'd like to put a few clones, put a few orders in for some Ron DeSantis clones. Trump walks back. Powell attacks. Floats China tariff cuts.
Starting point is 00:23:28 Ooh, interesting. See, now that's an interesting article. We might look at that one. Far right shift on anti-Semitism sparks unease even among Jews. That is worth talking about. I personally, I'd like for you guys to be, you know, you know, when I say you guys be out on the look for it, you know, the crew, the are you feeling lucky, the crew, you know what I mean? The those of you who bring us news, those of you who are just so dug in. Oh, why the hell are we looking at the Drudge Report for news?
Starting point is 00:24:11 When we have the incredible back channel and we have the incredible element chat room. I always forget to go to these We're gonna go via phone How about that? Let's we will work our way through this but there is something going on There is something going on for a long time. Oh my God, what the fuck? What is this? See, this is where we're going to kill ourselves. This is where we're going to kill ourselves. Okay, please. We are going to kill ourselves. The Telegraph, Sarah Napton. I need to talk to the person who's doing this. Experiments to dim the sun will be approved within weeks.
Starting point is 00:24:50 You realize we're going to freeze to death. We're going to turn this planet into an ice ball. What the hell are we doing? Experiments to dim the sun to fight global warming will be given the green light by the government. Who's the government government by the way? Anybody who decides to a blot out the Sun to dim the Sun Every other country should go to their Congress you suppose and they have one and say
Starting point is 00:25:18 declaration of war This is deck real declaration of war what the hell government gets to say we're going to block out the sun? Outdoor field trials, which could, see I think this is happening already, I think we're already doomed. I really do. This aerosol injecting bullshit into the atmosphere to reflect the sun's rays, I think we're doomed. I think some retards over in California with lots of money and tech money and movie money have already been injecting aerosols into the Sun Climate's gonna drop and for a very short period of time. They're gonna go we saved the world and then we're gonna be thrust into an ice age and It'll probably be around like the 60s or like 70s for me. That's what I'm thinking. I've always had this like weird fear that cold was coming
Starting point is 00:26:10 because I hate it. And in my weakness and my frailty of old age, I'll just have to suffer the cold, the constant cold. If you want a storyline for a book or novel or comic, you can take that one. It would do well. Outdoor field trials have, which could include injecting aerosols into the atmosphere. Isn't that sweet? How many years have they said like, you know, the aqua net is gonna burn a hole, it's gonna mess everything up, don't do it. Or brightening clouds to reflect the sunshine are being considered by scientists as a way to prevent runaway climate change.
Starting point is 00:26:48 How could we ever stop it? ARIA, that's funny. The government's advanced research and invention funding agency, DOGE, where are you at? Oh no, no, this must be in the UK, okay? Has set aside 50 million pound, right? Isn't that what that, yeah, for projects which will be announced in the coming weeks. Professor Mark Simes, the program director of ARIA, we're just going to do small, quote on quote, small controlled outdoor experiments on particular approaches. Now remember, to you this might seem crazy. If you're a regular person watching or all that, you might just be thinking to yourself,
Starting point is 00:27:36 they're just doing a little bit of this and that. If you think, if you woke up every day of your life, you went to school for it, you heard it from your teachers, you made it through the college thing, you got yourself a job in ARIA, and your whole life you've been told, the end is nigh. Because the planet is warming, and you're all gonna die. The floodwaters are gonna come, the glaciers are gonna crash into continents, everything's gonna happen, your whole life's gonna be ruined, The generation after you is going to blame you for not doing anything.
Starting point is 00:28:09 You can't tell me they're not doing this stuff already. We'll be announcing who we have given the funding to in a few weeks. When we do so, we'll be making clear when any outdoor experiments might be taking place. One of the missing pieces in this debate was physical data from the real world. Models can only tell us so much. Yeah, we need some physical data from the real world. How about there are almost 9 billion people on the
Starting point is 00:28:36 planet living? Living. Most aren't even starving anymore. How's that for some real life data? Now if you make the world just a little too cold, I'm not even talking snowpiercer, I'm talking you make it just a little too cold, everybody starves. If the world gets a little hotter, if there's a little too much carbon dioxide in the air, the plants freak out. They love it. They're like, oh, God, let's get huge. Let's get huge. Let's
Starting point is 00:29:13 grow more. The food, the food. The food gets excited and bigger, growing seasons longer. Talk to someone in Wisconsin. They'll tell you how nice it'd be to get another month or so out of growing food. That's what happens. The world gets a little hotter. In terms of eating, which is pretty important, you got to do it three times a day. If the world gets a little little just not even that much cold, a little colder, lots of people die quickly Quickly. Very quickly. You start cutting down on the amount of food that US farmers can grow, which in turn is going to cut out on the amount. We're not going to starve ourselves to send food to Asia and Africa, right? So then you cut down on the amount of food that we export. You know, let's take a look. Let's see how much food America exports a year.
Starting point is 00:30:07 Just to get a feel for it. No, I didn't ask for what types. I said how much. How much food America exports a year in tons. Tons Yeah, not that big a deal 2023 US food exports were worth 178 point seven billion dollars, I guess they don't have a Yeah, they don't have to so 20% of what we create or what we grow what we rear soybeans corn nuts dairy wheat is exported, okay 20% so soybeans, corn nuts, dairy, wheat is exported. 20%. So, you know, think about it. Think about what happens if all of a sudden America says, you know what?
Starting point is 00:30:59 Growth is down 20%. So the world doesn doesn't get anymore. Sorry, good luck. Good luck! They've sprayed too much bullshit aerosol into the air and now the sun's rays are being reflected rather than utilized by the planet and all the food that we grow. Particularly you should be unnerved if you're vegan or vegetarian because this is your one and only, right? And that's it. And the other thing that really sucks when you ruin the atmosphere by reflecting all the sun's rays and making it colder, let disease run through the growing apparatuses of today, right?
Starting point is 00:31:38 Let the topsoil go awry and all that kind of stuff. It is a disaster. It is a nightmare. And it's something that we have to be worried about. The big difference though is all I got to do is walk my ass out into the backyard, put seeds into the soil, make sure the soil is decent, right? Keep watering it, protect it from things that want to eat it, and I could grow my own food. If we screw up,
Starting point is 00:32:04 which is what we do when it comes to manipulating environments and species. When have we done a good job with this? You can look at a number of different places across the world where we decided we need more of this animal because this animal will eat that animal and then we find out, oh, but nothing will eat that animal. So now we're going to struggle. And we destroy whole situations. We killed off the wolves. Look what happened there. Then we went, oh, let's reintroduce wolves. Oh, we reintroduced the wrong kind of wolf. Now it's eating everything. How crazy must scientists be? I mean, I appreciate the scientific method and the people out there doing things that really change the world. But how crazy do you have to be to go, I know it's taken billions of years for us to get this whole planet thing right distance from the sun pH
Starting point is 00:33:06 Everything in the environment like it's taken a hell of a lot species Have moved in and out of places have evolved in various ways We're just gonna do it by spraying some shit in the atmosphere we'll fix everything And then a bunch of smart people way smarter than me, went to school way longer than me, sit around a table and go, I think he's right. I think if we spray some shit up in the atmosphere, it'll be just fine.
Starting point is 00:33:35 This is a terrible move, folks. I mean, I can't impress upon you enough what these terrible, terrible, terrible ideas about spraying stuff up in the atmosphere to reflect the life-giving sun away from our planet is. The biggest factor that makes the Earth work for life is distance from the sun. You know what I mean? I mean that's the biggest factor. You take Sun out of the picture, none of it matters. Nothing else matters. You know what I'm saying? There's nothing you can do. I did not expect to run headlong
Starting point is 00:34:16 into a story like this. I've heard about this years and years ago and for a long time I figured they're just gonna to geo-engineer us into hell, a cold, miserable hell, and that's it. Geo-engineering projects which seek to artificially alter the climate. It's like the beginning of a sci-fi novel. And then we starved and froze. The climate have proven controversial with critics arguing they could bring damaging knock-on effects as well as being an unhelpful distraction from lowering emissions
Starting point is 00:34:50 lower emissions lower emissions Shipping fumes seeding cirrus clouds. Yeah, here we go Currently the wispy high-altitude clouds act as a blanket trapping the heat. We don't want heat. We want to freeze to death and die. Every time you fly sulfur, which is naturally present in jet fuels emitted into the lower atmosphere causing a small cooling effect. Similarly aircraft contrails cause accidental cirrus cloud modification, but in this case accidentally causing rather than preventing or thinning cirrus cloud modification, but in this case, accidentally causing, rather than preventing or thinning cirrus clouds. OK, I don't feel like reading.
Starting point is 00:35:29 You don't need a biology. If you want to read it, go ahead and read. It's from The Telegraph. Type in, the idiots are going to kill us all. And this article will pop up. OK? See, now I want to keep exploring the China run drudge report to see what the hell else is hiding.
Starting point is 00:35:43 See, now I want to keep exploring the China run drudge report to see what the hell else is hiding. Istanbul took a beating. Istanbul got a, a 6.2 quake with 51 aftershocks. I did want to talk about the far right shift. I think we have to be very careful about the, I don't want to call it the far right. We have to be careful of people who, you know, we all felt emboldened, even here at PBN with the release of the January 6th footage on the Patriot Power Hour. There's a level of freedom, a level of emboldenment that has come because we
Starting point is 00:36:18 feel like the apparatus that was throwing people in jail and silencing people over political beliefs is gone, or at least subdued. But what this also seems to be doing, keep an eye out for it, you'll see it, what this also seems to be doing is giving people who are straight-up racists, right, straight-up lunatics, maybe even, you know, psychos, the ability to straight up lunatics, maybe even psychos, the ability to turn the volume up. And we're seeing it on the left. We know it's there.
Starting point is 00:36:52 We're seeing it on the right now. It seems like they're crawling out of the rubble and are like, yeah, I told you about those Jews. Like, be careful. Be careful. Five-minute EV minute EV no I'm done with this I don't feel like reading them anymore what else is going on in the world folks we're just doing a little news wrap today having fun you, I do see this. This is a good one.
Starting point is 00:37:27 Let's look at the 12 signs that US consumers are experiencing far more financial stress. I'll put this up because this is our man, although his site is riddled with ads. This is our man from the Economic Collapse blog, Michael Snyder. And we can look at the 12 signs. This is a thing. You know, this is a thing. For the first several years of PBN's membership, I don't think we lost a member.
Starting point is 00:37:59 And we've had a lot of people tap out, like on financial things. Like, we're really Tightening things up around here and the membership something has got to go Which is surprising to me because it's you you can get in for five bucks a month. So I'm not sure like I Don't know, you know, I don't know how that $60 per year thing Maybe it helps every dollar helps at the end of the day, but it is one of those things, right?
Starting point is 00:38:31 It's happening. Americans are rarely pessimistic about the economy. The consumers sent them and pledged 11% this month to a preliminary reading of 5.0. Don't know what that means. The University of Michigan said it's the latest survey. Low numbers. Americans are growing increasingly uneasy about the state of the U.S. economy. 73% of the poll's respondents said they are financially stressed. That's a thing, man. 67% of Americans feel behind on their savings goals with nearly 47% believing they'll never reach their targets for savings. That's rough.
Starting point is 00:39:10 What happened? Student loans out of control. For the first time in about five years, the Department of Education will resume collections of its defaulted federal student loan portfolio. The US Department of Ed announced its Office of Federal Student Aid will resume collections of its defaulted federal student loan portfolio on Monday, May 5. Right after May the 4th be with you?
Starting point is 00:39:40 Come on. So the department is not collected on defaulted loans it's March 2020 resuming collection protects taxpayers from shouldering the cost of federal student loans of borrowers willingly undertook to undergo their financial post-secondary judgment on the way seems like bad timing the average credit score in the United States just dropped at the fastest pace since the Great Recession from 717 to 715. Yeah, there's a lot of indicators out there, right?
Starting point is 00:40:18 Store closings, the whole nine yards. The only thing I'd tell you, you know what I mean? Your life will change in dramatic ways if you stick with prepping homesteading, self-reliance, independence. Like there are a lot of things to sink money into. There are a lot of things to pull back on. Right. But if you turn your backyard into a garden in a small urban homestead, even if you don't have room or don't think you have a room. Like, it's not just.
Starting point is 00:40:46 Going to save you money, it's going to save you mentally, you know what I mean? Because now everything's not just as we live in a time, man, where your whole life can hinge on polls, polling data, surveys, percentage points. Right. There's a real world out there that's happening all the time, right? There's food growing up out of the ground. And if you're in the news all the time, or if you make all the decisions in your life based off of news and economic data and economic outlook, then you get into a situation where you like you forget that there is a real
Starting point is 00:41:26 world just outside and there's a lot of capability out there and maybe the the most important capability of all is its ability to touch you. You know what I mean? Either you know what I mean or you don't know what I mean. We talked about the sunset already. But the real world that we are of, right, the dirt and grime and roots and leaves world, it can touch you in profound ways. You know what I mean? And it doesn't give a half of a cuss about Your credit score or America's Outlook on financial stability or the economy
Starting point is 00:42:19 These are all made up things by us, right? There's no squirrel running around outside in my backyard right now like the Tao is doing shit today. You know what I mean? And when you're out amongst it you feel it. When you're out amongst it you start to see the human world for what it is and you're like God we've created a lot of headaches. We create a lot of headaches for ourselves. So, you know, my recommendation dig deep into this homesteading, urban homesteading thing. You don't have to become a pioneer, right, in your own woven dresses.
Starting point is 00:42:59 But it sure as hell helps and feels a lot better. And it is the fundamental shield against news in general. News, right? And then, of course, if that news proves to be right and turns into real economic problems that affect you personally, you have all this stuff in place. You know what I mean? You have food. You have the capability to share and trade and barter for things that really matter. You have all this stuff in place. You know what I mean? You have food. You have the capability to share and trade and barter for things that really matter.
