Starting point is 00:00:00 Society in every state is a blessing. The government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil. The future has already arrived. And now you understand what surviving America is all about. Now, after the results of last night's election, I think what I'm going to do is I'm going to take this entire bottle of wild lettuce tincture and drop it underneath my tongue so that I can have hallucinations about what it might be like to have a New York City again. Welcome into Surviving America, folks.
Starting point is 00:00:58 it is uh well it's a wednesday we'll go with that it's a wednesday night uh surviving america will be on wednesday nights for those who like to imbibe on the live okay it has been a long day's journey into the night i'll tell you that much and uh suffice it to say that we are lost here in the state of virginia and stay tuned because I'm sure some really interesting times are coming in the near future. Look, before we get really rolling, big topic in the prepping world, in the emergency preparedness space, emergency communications. Okay, we've got a couple big things going on here at PBN with emergency communications.
Starting point is 00:01:53 Now is the time. why if you can hear what's happening upstairs the moment i go live you would you would die it sounds like like someone is stuck inside of a toy box maybe i don't know emergency communications okay pace plan everybody's looking for the thing is it the sat phone is it the pop link is it the but be how fang is it you know what is it and uh one of the things that should be in that pace plan one of the things that a lot of our hosts members have put into their communications pace plan is the meshtastic system the meshtastic node system basically if you are uh aversion to the concept it's being able to text between devices off grid fundamentally no cell signal
Starting point is 00:02:51 the whole nine right and there's a lot there's a lot there's a lot there particularly locally there's a lot there uh if you can really motivate yourself to build that mesh network with more than just you or maybe not it's a concept that's been around a long time um probably about two years and it's been in the prepper sphere pretty heavily what we got last sunday uh was our comms wizard our chief communications executive officer shin um we got his whole presentation on meshtastic now you can go and you can watch the full podcast on youtube or rumble um but what we're going to do is friday i trimmed it up so that it rather than have the podcast itself in its entirety it has just because it was in the Changing Earth podcast. So rather than that, being
Starting point is 00:03:53 included in there, this is just the mesh-tastic masterclass fundamentally. PowerPoint, great pictures, PowerPoint, the whole thing. You know what, let's give you a little taste. The reason I'm telling you all is because this thing, well, it's so good that it's going to live on our website forever. It's going to live on our members website forever. It's going to be a course that you can pay for or it's going to be a course that you can take advantage of as a member. I'd highly recommend. Look, if this is a thing, if this is an important thing to you, like now is the time to become a member because comms is about to be a monthly event here at PBM. So like I said, You could find this thing.
Starting point is 00:04:47 What I've learned about the membership website is, you put out a lot of podcasts, you put out a lot of content, things disappear. The value of a membership website is being able to find some of those important things. Do you know what I mean? So this is a slide direct from the presentation, okay? I'm going to go up, like I said, on the membership website, PBNFamily.com. You can get access to it there whenever you want. Just sign up for a membership. It's five bucks a month.
Starting point is 00:05:25 Five bucks a month is what is five bucks a month? Someone in chat tell me one thing you bought in the last month. It cost $5.5 even. Five, not $5 in some chain, $5 even. a soda you know like a i mean so five dollars to get you in there and it'll also get you what else i want to talk to you about before we start whining about the election results if you want to do that i'm not i'm pretty wide open tonight to be honest with you i do want to talk about the election and i do want to talk about america at large and what this sort of whole
Starting point is 00:06:05 outcome really makes me think what it really makes me think about america at large we're also going to be starting a monthly comm sim okay this for a long time we've had two big problems with comms here at pbn how do the hosts communicate off grid far away we live all over the country number one number two how do we create a network of communications in an emergency, off grid, on grid, whatever, where we can touch base regularly. Where we know that when a disaster strikes and maybe we can't get on a new podcast or maybe we can't do this or can't do that, that we can still reach one another, right? Well, welcome to ComSim. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:57 So we have our monthly continuity meeting, which meets Monday. We're going to be talking Civil War 2.0. really very interesting considering the election results we just dealt with just faced should i move this down a little sometimes like when i'm putting the show together you see behind me and above me is my christmas row of of wonderful things right there's a little micky disney christmas there's my book of the uh christmas hook the christmas This hook itself is right there. I don't know how many of you have ever seen the Christmas hook.
Starting point is 00:07:38 One day, I'll show it off. I'm not going to show it off right now. I'm dressed for bed, basically. There's a VHS tape of how the Grinch stole Christmas. We could talk about that. And then there's a bunch of other books that we like to read during Christmas time. There's a cool Christmas photo right there. So sometimes when I'm setting the show up, I get like, I see it up there.
Starting point is 00:08:01 And I don't want to, I don't want to not see it. But then I get halfway through the show and I'm like, I feel like I'm like on the chin up bar doing the show. Hey, everybody. You know what I mean? So, anyhow, let's get the wife's hockey bag out of this front and center here. So, suffice it to say, calm, sim. You want to get involved in a month-to-month meetup. where you can set aside the time to do whatever comms you want,
Starting point is 00:08:35 play with the comms, you know, whatever radios, touch base, that kind of thing. The main goal is going to be to make connections and then talk about it. Ideally, over time,
Starting point is 00:08:47 we'll start to make those connections with more and more people at PBN, more and more hosts at PBN. And this will be our time. This will be our monthly comms test to be able to say, we know how to use our radios we know how to use our whatever devices we decide on and we practice every month right and when I say we I don't mean me and the host I'm talking about the network because this is what's going to make the difference right this is what's going to make all the difference so we'll probably play with some different radios we'll probably play we'll have a lot
Starting point is 00:09:23 of failures and then before long the month to month commsim will turn into the month to month off-grid communication check-in and we'll check in each and every month it'll probably be a short meeting it won't be like the continuity the continuity can go hours at a time um it'll be a pretty quick check in hey how's everybody anybody got any new cool interesting comms news yes no maybe so all right let's uh let's do a round robin maybe what we'll do is we'll play that game what's that game whisper what's that game where you i'll talk into my i'll say a phrase into my radio and then we'll have it go around to everybody and make it back to my headphones we'll see how how the comms sim works it's really that i mean you know i don't know everything is reps do you know what i mean
Starting point is 00:10:13 everything in life is reps and uh if you if you know you're if you're if you know you're suffering in a certain area which we have been trying to fix this for a long time chin is like largely disgusted with the fact that we have a prepper broadcasting network and the hosts are incapable of reaching each other off grid i can just sense it from him right um it's just something we got a you know we got to fix so and if you want to be a part of all that pbmfamily com see that you can scan that guy with your phone you can visit pbnfamily com become a member that's it that's it let's move into the uh let's move into the big question of the night the big question of the night not for you necessarily you can
Starting point is 00:11:02 answer it i'd love to get your take on it for sure but the big question in the night right you watch what happens the blue wave the tidal wave the tsunami of blue with a little red in it, a little communist red in it. Washes over the United States, right? Pounds, New York, somehow makes it as far inland as New Jersey, who I really thought was going to go red. And my state, we, you know, stood no chance whatsoever, no chance. Nobody in the lineup stood a chance.
Starting point is 00:11:40 I said yesterday it would be, really, I thought that, you know, Jason had a chance against Jones because of the texts I don't think people care what I do want to know though is and what I have been thinking about is does America have the stomach to be a nation anymore the stomach
Starting point is 00:12:08 I mean like really because in order to be a nation there are a bunch of things that are happening. There are a bunch of really tough things that are happening right now. One of them is the border. One of them is addressing illegal immigration. And it's very clear to me that America does not have the stomach for that. The other thing is that we have all kinds of people who would love to see the size of government decreased.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Yet every time we try to decrease the size of government, people start waving the white flags man and that's what this looks like this looked like a reactionary outcome based on what trump is doing so what is trump doing what's he doing he's doing he's doing things that i don't think the nation has the stomach for i think the idea of it's cool i think posting about it's really fun on x i think getting in arguments about it i think being snarky about it is really cool but i think the average american this is what i'm talking about when i say is cool i think what the average american thinks is not cool is when it really happens when it really happens when you say oh there's
Starting point is 00:13:31 how much i got where was that that was zero hedge today right i got i got to look this up because this is monumental. Zero hedge, yeah. I think it's really cool to publish an article that came out on the third. Let's put it up. Let's play with it together, huh? I have very little agenda for tonight's show. We're going to hang out for a little bit, at least.
Starting point is 00:14:05 In other words, it's all fun in games when you post. Post an article like this that says 700,000 ineligible SNAP recipients purged after USDA and covers wide spread food stamp fraud. Illegals accused of stealing more than $150,000 in SNAP benefits in Ohio. We see what's happened, right? That's a tremendous number. 700,000 ineligible SNAP recipients purged after USDA uncovers widespread food stamp fraud. Basically,
Starting point is 00:14:48 118. No, it's bananas. So, all fun in games until they actually start to, you know, people start to be affected is what it looks like to me. Right. We want everybody bad out of the nation. Rubber meets the road. You got people in the streets with masks on, pulling people out of cars and jobs and throwing them out of the country. And it just feels to me after what happened last night that America doesn't have the stomach for it, they'd rather see some balding, whatever he is, want to be tough guy. Talk about shooting another candidate in the head. They'd rather elect a guy like that and avoid.
Starting point is 00:15:33 I don't know what they're going to avoid. I know what they're avoiding. You elect someone like that. Anything can happen. So the big question, you know, borders, like Michael Savage used to say, borders language culture, still does say borders language culture. If you're looking to manage those three things that define a nation, and if you're looking to assure the long-term survival of the nation by not spending
Starting point is 00:16:02 $20 trillion a year then you got to do stuff that people don't like stuff that make people uncomfortable do you know what I mean and that's what's happening all over the country right now and we're blinking that's also what's happening that's also what's happening
Starting point is 00:16:26 you voted a guy in you wanted them to do a thing he won the popular vote he won the electoral vote and then all of a sudden this comes around and everybody's voting for blue now at least here in Virginia
Starting point is 00:16:43 well in New York too the candidates on the red side they were ho-hum right we had a radio host as for lieutenant governor right i thought jason was one of the the most qualified i think slywa in new york blew it i think he blew it
Starting point is 00:17:14 for new york i think when they decided on on having him run it was the done deal i think momdani the sultan of new york the son i seen he's in communication with like the socialists of mexican Chin sent me a I think it was from the Ford Observer or something like that let me find it you have no idea what that's
Starting point is 00:17:44 what they're in for I mean you just have no clue how bad it's going to get in New York it gets unbelievable to really think about where we yeah yeah DSA builds ties with Mexico's
Starting point is 00:18:02 Morena Party. The Democratic Socialists of America Mamdani, communist, socialist, Islamist, you name it. The Democrat Socialist of America Internal Committee recently began a nationwide effort to connect Mexican elected officials from the Marina Party with Mexican communities in the United States. The DSA and Marina Party held a political exchange
Starting point is 00:18:28 in late September to discuss strategies that allowed the Morena Party to transition from a civil association to a political party. DSA leadership met with Morena Party members during an October Migrants Rights Conference in Mexico. So I jokingly told Chin that basically it would be, you know, Nuevo, Yorkistan, run by, you know, the Sultan Mandani. Mamadani. This is why we do what we do, folks. You know that, right?
Starting point is 00:19:14 You know that, like, it's nauseating to do this right now. But I have, the only reason I wanted to do the political was to put out in the light a couple of things. One of the biggest things being that the whole government shutdown is not worth. the way Trump thinks it's working. Do you know what I mean? The government shutdown thing might actually be the reason the Democrats won so handedly.
Starting point is 00:19:42 It might be it. It might just be that. It might just be the fact that even though Donald Trump gets up there every day and goes, it's the Democrats' fault. And even though you watch them, some of you, and go like, yeah, that's right, the Democrats. in the back of my head before the election it always felt kind of funny right now i see with the
Starting point is 00:20:07 results of the election like i don't know don't think anybody's buying it buddy i don't think anybody's buying it i think they think you're holding up the snap benefits and shrewing up the flights and they're pissed i think you're holding up the page checks to the government employees and I think people were pissed and I think they went to the ballot box to explain that and I also think like I said the candidacy across the nation was pretty lackluster but with so many delegates and so many smaller elections just going blue at least in Virginia it makes me think like yeah they just ain't happy they just ain't happy with the shutdown they're more emboldened because of the shutdown and because of ice and so on
Starting point is 00:21:01 republicans always have trouble getting people out to vote in these kind of elections especially in cities you know what i mean because a lot of people on the right side of things in cities i think walk around with this idea that like they've lost so many elections that you get i think they get to the idea that like it's a lost cause dude don't worry about it You know what I mean? Like, it's a lost cause. Who cares? Why bother voting? Which to me is insane. I've lived here in Richmond, Virginia, for like 15 years now. And, right, 2009. And I don't know. It just makes sense to me. Do you know what I mean? 16. It just makes sense. It's your right to get out and vote. You know, whatever. Does the nation have the stomach to be a nation? Does it have the stomach to keep and maintain a secure border?
Starting point is 00:22:06 Does it have the stomach to cut back on government spending knowing that people are going to suffer? Do we have the stomach to be a nation? Or will we live in this sort of... And look, our diversity is tremendous. It is amazing. It is what makes this country the greatest country on earth. So don't get me wrong.
Starting point is 00:22:32 But at the same time, it's like it's not a free for all. And it can't be a free for all. And we can't have maximum empathy for all because we can't afford it. You know? And the key thing that we have to remember in inciting all this chaos and trying to give everything away for free, one of the key things to remember is the more chaotic things get the less people care about fringe elements fringe groups diversity all these kinds of things all these kinds of things that really do make america great rapidly go out the window the harder it becomes to get a paycheck the harder it becomes to get a date the harder it becomes to start a family the harder it becomes to walk from point A to point A to point Point B without violence. You get to that point, man.
Starting point is 00:23:28 And all of a sudden, all these protections and protected groups and all these kinds of things, that stuff goes out the window fast. It's one of the first things it goes out the window. Women's safety. You know what I mean? Well, you know, just watch New York. Watch New York. Give it a good year, six months, something along those lines. We'll see the
Starting point is 00:23:50 We'll see how the sultan does over there In Nuevo Yorkistan What else you want to talk about? I don't know if I can do To be honest with you, I don't know if I can do politics anymore It's late You know what I mean? It's late for me
Starting point is 00:24:09 I'm drinking filtered water out of a candy cane glass Nothing wrong with that But that's just the vibe right now You know what I mean I'm ready to reach for a book, a newspaper, something Anything to get my mind off the fact that They're going to come try to take my firearms
Starting point is 00:24:35 And then they're going to tell me that my Political affiliations are all wrong And that, you know so instead we can go a little early into the epic times if you'd like reach out for me to the epic times tell them you want james walton to be a writer i mean it send him an email tell him you love the epic times and you'd love to see a column by james walton on prepping and survival and homesteading z struggling for military control
Starting point is 00:25:10 analysts say can diet transform your ADHD answered no I suffer and I've done all kinds of diets I've not eaten I was listening to Orthodox Christians today I try to fill
Starting point is 00:25:30 my time with as much God talk as possible now there was a time when I would fill my head with lots of other stuff and uh i came to realize that if you if you fill your head with lots of god talk everything gets better fast whoa we got silver on the back here yes we do u.s zip codes turn up silver for residents what's that mean let's read on see you guys asked like why Why does he read?
Starting point is 00:26:14 Is this an ad? This looks like a big old ad. Oh, it is a big ad. The U.S. residents cash in calls are pouring in from state residents who are trying to get their hands on the jumbo silver ballistic bags pictured above before the deadline ends. Who gets the silver vault bags listed below are the zip codes that could declaim the silver vault bags. if you find the first two digits of your zip code below
Starting point is 00:26:43 call immediately oh no yeah mine's in there too so what is it silver vault bags as they can get their that's because the state minimum set by Lincoln Tread has been reduced to $39 for each solid silver
Starting point is 00:27:02 one quarter ounce bar for everyone who gets the vault bags they're up for grabs but all those really want to cash in taking jumbo silver ballistic bags containing a hundred state silver bars before the deadline no no no no no state minimum set by leading rinder five i don't know 10 pristine state silver bars 390 dollars so what are there well how much is it there a quarter ounce or there now what are they a quarter ounce or there now what are they a quarter ounce solid fine silver so a quarter ounce
Starting point is 00:27:39 of silver for $39 is a rip-off that's a that's don't buy it don't do it don't buy it that's a rip-off it's a bad deal it's a bad deal just a guy on it who paid the epic times he's trying to make some money that's all that is don't fall for it the Wyoming ranchers won a regenerative revolution how about US and Japan. U.S. and Japan signed critical minerals deal. I'm trying to get out of this shadow, if you can't tell. U.S. President Donald Trump met with Japanese Prime Minister Sanai Takaiichi, maybe. In Tokyo on October 27 for bilateral talks on security trade and other issues. I know what one issue was.
Starting point is 00:28:37 Are we going to smash China? If they decide to take Taiwan, that was one issue. Social Security benefits to rise 2.8% in 2026 for 75 million Americans. The government is going to come off a whopping. A whopping 2.8%. Can you believe it, PBN family. 2.8%. This is another.
Starting point is 00:29:09 PR nightmare, and it doesn't matter how Trump or you feel about it. But I could tell you right now, another big reason. Two things that make me cringe, okay? When I look at the situation in this country, two things that make me cringe. Every time Donald Trump opens his mouth and says how much money he's made in tariffs. okay every time he opens his mouth and says how many trillions he says america is the hottest country in the world we're making trillions upon trillions of dollars and uh in tariffs and the tariffs are the best thing that ever happened to this country every time i hear that i cringe
Starting point is 00:29:56 because i know there's a bunch of people listening who are going well that's great i'd like to go to the supermarket uh and i have no money right and i'm not talking snap i'm talking people who are struggling right now like legitimately you talk about all the money we're making from tariffs you talk about your big beautiful classical beautiful ballroom people who are struggling get a certain kind of taste in their mouth right and i can feel it i can feel it in them i can feel it makes me cringe every time he says the word tariff and how many trillions and billions and hundreds of trillions we've taken in u.s must demand CCP released jailed pastor i don't want to get involved in that a bipartisan group of u.s.
Starting point is 00:30:52 lawmakers human rights advocates and family members of detained Beijing pastor ezra jin mingri called for his immediate release october 24th i know does that move you i don't know doesn't really move me this is an interesting one luck oil moving to offload holdings in europe predictions of climate catastrophe loses some steam imagine that imagine that i like this idea though that like should we all decide that maybe the whole entirety of of the world is not coming to an end because of climate change i love the idea that they think like what that means is everyone's just going to start you know dumping their trash bags in the local lake you know what i mean like instead of having them picked up by the by the trash man
Starting point is 00:32:00 they're just going to dump garbage directly into the nearest creek and you know empty the oil Ted Nordhaus, founder of the Climate Focus Breakthrough Institute Road in 2007, if we continue to burn as much coal and oil as we've been burning, the heating of the earth will cause the sea levels to rise and the Amazon to collapse. Thanks, Ted. I love it. They got a picture of Bill. They got a picture of Bill. They got a picture of King Lizard. himself bill gates you see him bill gates did about the biggest flip-flop of all time he said look whatever we do we have to save the world from climate change whatever we do this is priority numeral uno and then they were like yo bill people are making a killing off of artificial intelligence right now it's going into militaries it's going into big business the average
Starting point is 00:33:07 A hole is making pictures of political candidates fighting UFC fighters. It's phenomenal, Bill. And Bill goes, maybe climate change not so bad. The media until recently is at a stranglehold on what gets put out there. And most of the public have only heard extreme alarmist scenarios of climate and planetary doom, wrote Greg Wrightstone executive director of the CO2 Coalition which challenges the so-called consensus regarding climate change we've been saying all along that once the damn breaks and hopefully it's breaking now
Starting point is 00:33:52 we'll be able to get the truth in front of or not just we'll be able to get the truth in front of not just the American people but the world where they talk about my buddy bill You need Bill. Hello, Bill the billionaire. Hey, everybody, it's Bill the billionaire. By almost every metric, we look at Earth's ecosystems are thriving and prospering, right? Stone's set.
Starting point is 00:34:16 It's quite obvious that there are huge benefits that are due to climate change. Longer growing seasons, crop productivity is outpacing population growth year after year. This is the problem that you have to avoid. this is the problem that scares me the most and has scared me the most about all this madness over climate change. You know what I mean? There is no bigger problem. You talk about sea level rise, right? Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:34:48 We got to move from the coasts. Sure, that's a pain. It's not happening. It's not happening. I was talking to my father the other day. I said, I bet if I took you to the Jersey Shore today. day and we went down there that ocean he's born in 1950 that ocean would look exactly the same as it did when you would go down there as a kid i guarantee it you know what i mean
Starting point is 00:35:20 sea level rise i mean while politicians are where do politicians build their their little places their little home away where's joe biden all the time down at the beach that Down at the shore, living it up. What's better, right? Just think about it from the cynical side of things, the cynical politician elitist mentality. Tell the peons that the oceans are rising. So they won't come down here and build their little shacks around my mansion on the coast
Starting point is 00:35:54 and I don't have to smell them. Now we're talking. But the big worry, of course, is what? It gets so cool. We cool the climate so much because this idea that we've heated the climate up by burning stuff and we're going to stop it and we're going to stop it just so. Like we're going to stop it, the perfect amount. The idea that we're going to pull something like that off, which is cosmic, right? We're going to pull that off and not starve to death.
Starting point is 00:36:30 you've never heard the story of Australia and the bullfrogs have you look it up Australia and the bullfrogs and the rabbits and you just see what happens when we go don't worry we'll fix it a 2024 report by Fred Pierce published by Yale School of the Environment stated that despite warnings that climate change would create widespread desertification
Starting point is 00:36:58 many dry lands are getting greener because of the increased CO2 in the air a trend that recent studies indicate will continue however Pierce also notes the downside to this namely that vegetation may soak up scarce water supplies I mean look PBM family you know we elected them again right they've been lying to you for years democrats lying to you for years
Starting point is 00:37:40 lying to you for years there's nothing going on at the border there's no problem at the border we got this border thing shored up joe biden he had a plan from the get-go just needed the republicans to help him out with it remember get this border things sewn right up it's not even really that much of a problem the only people coming through are uh highly high level intellectuals who just rather than going into the sciences decided rather cut the grass no big deal you know what i mean they just decide they'd rather wash the dishes in the restaurant you go to there's no gang members coming in none of that don't you worry about any of that these people lie all the time man they these perpetual lie
Starting point is 00:38:28 we'll see i mean you'll see right abigail got up there and tried to play it off like she wasn't for boys playing in girls sports oh that was then this is now or whatever the situation give it time but i don't want these people to ruin my night because it is a beautiful night i mean here in richmond it is pristine okay it's about 60 degrees by now The trees look like, I mean, it's like a treasure chest has opened on my block, and all the leaves are gold coins. And some of the trees, and this is what makes it the best this time of year, some of the trees are like skeleton hands rising up in the blackness of the night. You know what I mean? Really pointy, no leaves on them, they're bare, and they look great.
Starting point is 00:39:25 and it's just one of those kind of nights where you can go sit out back and just look up and then these big heavy winds right the autumn leaves blood or the autumn winds bluster and uh bunches of leaves come falling down and it's what it really what i really want is another Halloween it makes me want like Halloween part do i don't know why something eerie out there Something creepy, something delightfully eerie and creepy is happening outside in the natural world. Maybe we should read the road. You want to read the road? We've been off the road for a while, but we just got back on it.
Starting point is 00:40:17 Now, pretty soon, I'm going to start, oh, do you guys want to see the new shirt? Do you want to see the new shirt? we might as well why not what the hell so the wow look at the microphone the uh the black friday catalog
Starting point is 00:40:37 will be releasing Wednesday no Friday the 14th look for the PBN Ultimate Preppers Black Friday catalog okay it's an annual thing we do every single year now year
Starting point is 00:40:53 year over year, I've been selling one Christmas sweater, one ugly Christmas sweater by design. And it's a great one. I mean, it's called Baby It's Cold Outside. This was a design that we created with Chin, the comms wizard here at PBM, the man behind the master class. He said he wanted a shirt, and he wanted that shirt to say, not my first radio,
Starting point is 00:44:02 but he wanted it to look like it said, not my first rodeo. So I sat down and I put this together. I get a cowboy on a buck and bronco. He's got a big antenna coming off the back of the steed. And, uh, yeah, man. These are fun. making merch is fun merch never really does well um mostly because i never do this stuff okay this is the stuff that i never do i hardly ever promote the merch for those of you listening in the audio podcast um sorry this is probably terrible because you can't see any of it but you can go to the pbn store it's just uh what's the best way to get here did i put it back up on pbnfamily.com i think i might have i think if you go to pbnfamily
Starting point is 00:44:57 dot com i put the merch store back up there it was there for a little bit and then i took it down and in you know you know what i'll put it up there how about that the enemy will know i have to explain that one i don't want to explain it right now all right folks let's uh let's do a little the road shall we let's do a little a little the road so this book darker trails it's kind of coming out of season to be honest with you i guess we need to go a little bigger this book's kind of going out of season oh there are those trees i was telling you about you see them you see them trees that i was telling you about look my my oh look bowser stop following me johnny the same idea with the trees right darker trails by yours truly i wrote it uh 2018 2022 20 2018
Starting point is 00:46:00 copyright 2018 now this book was published december 22 so the whole idea here is post apocalyptic stories scary stuff freaky stuff and uh dedicated to my lovely sister what i'm looking for is an early entry on page 27 called the road and the road folks is old i mean it's an old poem i wrote years ago and uh it's sort of all about a road that leads to a certain place and i'm going to read it to you now and any time we find ourselves drowning in blue if you know what I mean I return to the road
Starting point is 00:46:53 so let's read it let's get into it you don't need to watch me read because that's really weird let's put the background on let's put the old PBN background on where is that thing PBN with the
Starting point is 00:47:10 yeah there we go I am the road ancient and worn. With different colored masks, they come. I am the road of David Starr, the road built by Pharaoh, the road of the Armenians. They come to me weary and without a voice, confused and abandoned by the world. The road of the Kulaks, or the Azidis, paved by the failures of man painted with marred souls of the forgotten. My lure is one of power, one of dominance.
Starting point is 00:47:52 I am the road, inescapable by man. To fools I'm most appealing, you've read about me in text. How I led to Gulag, to the ovens, to the firing squads, where I expire skulls pile like mountains. from the streets and the campuses they approach me again desperation burning like fire in their eyes blinding them changing them numbing them as history again becomes a stranger
Starting point is 00:48:31 their next step will carve out a villain this was before Donald Trump by the way their next step will carve out the villain a villain who cannot speak who is words have been outlawed I welcome a traveler in the shackles of silence I am the road that leads to the end warn them all I am traveled again and that is I am the road PBN family from darker trails from the one and only darker trails of the writing of many books there is no end and there's a new one coming oh there's a new one coming for the
Starting point is 00:49:18 holiday season and it is called let your heart be light okay let your heart be light is not a prepping book it has nothing to do with prepping it doesn't have a single thing to do with preparedness at all because every so often i get the uh the jitters about christmas time and i get driven, you know, pretty much insane over it all, to be honest with you. It really does drive me crazy. What is going on here? What is up Sloan?
Starting point is 00:49:51 What is up Firewolf? What is up Nub? I literally just got one notification just now that there was a comment. You guys have been in here since 950?
Starting point is 00:50:07 I'm sorry. Stream Yard, you really let me down there. We're talking about books and writing and poems and all those kinds of things. I already bitched for a while about the election and asked the question, and I'd love your guys take on it, Sloan and Firewolf and L2 survive. Does America have the stomach to be a nation? Does it have the stomach to protect its borders and to deport the monsters? Does it have the stomach?
Starting point is 00:50:41 to be a nation anymore because what I saw from the election was that maybe not so much maybe not so much maybe it's really cool to say the things that we need to do but not necessarily do the things we need to do you follow me do you follow follow your heart so what should we get into right over yonder is is a collection of books that are so good and I'm tempted to go over there and grab them. We could do some poems for men. Let's talk about Let Your Heart Be Light for the moment, right? Because I should give you a little taste.
Starting point is 00:51:28 James is talking about his adult Christmas book again. That is true, Nubb, that is very true. Yeah. Do you know how it all came to be? It's a very funny story, man. you know i fight off christmas like an addiction every year and usually by about may june it's like kind of reaching its limit and one year i'm laying in bed with lady liberty and i had this idea for a christmas story in my head right and i told her i said like i never done anything like
Starting point is 00:52:02 that before. And I told her, should I write this Christmas book in May so that it's published in time for Christmas? Should I write it? Should I? Because in doing so, then I have to fall completely into Christmas through the whole summer. I have to be there. You know what I mean? And that's how it went. That's how it went. Then I said, spent the last couple of that's how the Christmas hook came to be you know what I mean that's how the Christmas hook came let's talk about it how do I get myself off here check out prepare the homeland uh fire will forge what do you mean by how much can mesh-tastic handle elaborate while I grab oh let's grab the
Starting point is 00:53:02 book? What else should we grab while we're up? Hmm. Dante? Dante? Yeah, why not? Why not grab a little Dante? These are the kinds of nights. This is the time of night that you reach for Dante anyway, or at least I do. You know what I mean? You want to stream with us? oh you want to stream on mesh-tastic that's impossible mesh-tastic does not do video
Starting point is 00:53:37 mesh-tastic is strictly text messaging you know what I mean um so no can't handle that can't handle that at all look at this beaut my adult Christmas book no this is book one no it's not a series actually this is just what it is
Starting point is 00:53:57 is that a gorgeous cover or what If I'm not for myself who will be Okay Sorry Firewolf what are you looking to do my man Are you looking to stream When the grid is down You're going to really get a kick out of the Christmas hook
Starting point is 00:54:15 Firewolf Forge because it is Beautiful It's a beautiful Construct Chapter 8 The Mean Elf This book has a lot to do with with my life actually it's a little bit of a life story but it's told um
Starting point is 00:54:36 it's told about three children who live in the row homes of barcoso pennsylvania where i grew up and uh the adventures they have when they find this strange hook in a place called the process the process is what we used to call it there's an illustrated version too but when I had the idea to write the Christmas hook the first thing I had to do was figure out like
Starting point is 00:55:02 what is the Christmas hook going to be I had the idea they find the hook they have the nightmares it has some strange eerie value to it because I like the Christmas and the scary and there's another character in the in the book that really takes the whole thing to another level his name is crispy Jimbo but I had to find the hook first right I had to find the hook first right Had to, oh, Firewolf, you've got a video for us about a hook. You the man. You the man. I've got to get to work on Hammer Talk.
Starting point is 00:55:37 I had to find the hook first. And I had to find just the right kind of hook that would become the Christmas hook, man. It had to be cool. It had to be weird, right? It had to be kind of creepy. It had to be kind of Christmassy. And I found this thing on eBay. what do you think that is firewolf i already know what it is but what a beautiful little artifact right
Starting point is 00:56:06 i don't even remember where it came from i mean i bought it from ebay but i don't remember like where it came from it's got this little quaver end right sort of like a music note end and this is where it actually hangs right it's a meat hook basically i mean that's what it is it's a meat hook it's just beautiful it's well crafted i don't even know if it's one piece firewolf you might be able to tell better than me do you think this is one piece do you think this part was split away from the metal like if i'm making this thing in my head with my limited blacksmithing experience it kind of feels like they cut into the hot metal here pull this piece out and then drew it out right pretty awesome craftsmanship so this this is the hook that they find
Starting point is 00:57:04 in the book called the christmas oak and i actually had a dream right not a dream but like a hope a vision that one day if the christmas hook were ever popular like super popular a lot of people read it probably won't happen until i'm dead that's how these things usually work you know one makes money until they're dead unless they're selling women and children seems like anymore or fossil fuels or cryptocurrency right it's horrible but i had a dream that like uh we'd have a bunch of these in small version that you could hang on your tree you know what i mean find a guy like firewall forge ah how do i do that ah was looking like kind of like one of those things you put up to your eye um To make a bunch of miniature versions of these that you hang on the tree, right? Pretty cool. L2 survives as in the collapse. I'm going to have a pirate radio station on Shortwave.
Starting point is 00:58:02 I'll be the Christian Slater of the Apocalypse. Okay. I'm following you. I'm following. I'm picking up what you're putting down. So anyway, that's it. Now, the second book in the James Adult Christmas series, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:58:21 you know christmas sort of like christmas uh sort of like christmas ornament size so maybe the whole thing it's intricate right it's got the excuse me it's got the twists in it it's got the hook part itself then it's got this you know folded portion here but ideally you know maybe about that size something that would hang on a tree and look nice wouldn't be too gaudy wouldn't be too crazy you know something like that no i definitely don't want yeah maybe like a quarter of the size something like that we do live trees only though definitely not a fake tree do you guys want to see the cover for let your heart be light
Starting point is 00:59:08 it's a cool it's a cool idea good concept let me double check and see if i even have it um in my downloads i should I don't know, though. This is a totally different type of book, though. The first one largely follows three nine-year-olds around the Roe Homes of Christmas, or the Roe Homes of Marcus Hook at Christmas. The new one, Let Your Heart Be Lights, very different. Family issues, adult children, you know, love and marriage and heartache and breakups and the,
Starting point is 00:59:51 the whole thing, you know, all sort of in the Christmas atmosphere. I don't know. You meet a lot of cool characters. You see a lot of fun things. Oh, there it is. Yeah, let's play around. I'll show it off on this late night surviving America, right? I'll send Megan a reference.
Starting point is 01:00:20 Don't worry. not a problem all right image file I guess oh no no no window window is there a window window window
Starting point is 01:00:33 bingo bango window there it is wow looks great I don't know I think I put myself
Starting point is 01:00:49 through the arduous task of writing a book like i'll write an entire book for the opportunity to make the cover i think that might be what i do i really to write the book it's fun you know what i mean but i think like the the real fun is making the cover and that's a gorgeous cover does that one look like a spellbook i don't know i was going for kind of the same kind of you know represent the same kind of gold and except this one being green, that one being red, you know. Anyhow, you'll meet Zeke, and Zeke falls in love with Mary, and you'll meet, well, you'll meet, can I tell you his name? I don't know if I can tell you his name, or it may, it may blow up thing.
Starting point is 01:01:39 Sloan says it also looks like a spellbook, my inner warlock. You'll meet Zeke. You'll meet Mary. You'll meet Rose. You'll meet Jonah. Jonah and Rose a married couple. Jonah just wants the perfect Christmas. He wants all the decorations. He wants the live tree. He wants the caroling and the, you know, the whole thing. And his wife, Rose, is like simmer down. Okay. And Zeke, Zeke, Zeke, is a really cool guy who is looking for love and finds it in a very strange girl named Mary and you know their relationship comes together over the holiday season's pretty fun and then you meet Deborah and Deborah is the loner in the book for many reasons plays a very important role and she's a very interesting character with one of the coolest businesses on the planet to be quite honest with you and it's look it's the thing about let your heart be light is it's a lot you know what i mean it's a lot there's a lot about life in the book like it's kind of a bit
Starting point is 01:03:02 of an advice self-helpish marriage councilish relationship helpish family problem mitigation is book wrapped up in a Christmas setting basically largely you know and it's fun so that'll be out
Starting point is 01:03:25 I don't know when do you want to release it somebody throw a date out there let's get into James epic marketing capabilities okay when the audience want to release the book
Starting point is 01:03:36 I don't know maybe like December 1st something like that we could release I get like excited I didn't release books on stupid dates that have nothing to do with anyone. December 9th, we could do December 9th, Firewolf. Black Friday, that's a good idea.
Starting point is 01:03:55 I like that. How about we split the difference? We'll split the difference between the nub and the wolf. I'll put a pre-order for the book in the Black Friday catalog, and then we'll release it on December 9th. Let me write that in my book. Because if I don't, I'll forget it. I release it today.
Starting point is 01:04:20 See, that is something I would do. No, that is something silly that I would do. You get real excited and be like, oh, I'm just going to release the book now. And then I'll sit there and look at the numbers and go, well, hell, this thing's not doing as well as I thought it would do. I thought it would do much better. That's because I told no one and just decided to release it one night when I was. was bored and ran out of coffee i've done that guys like i've i've yeah one of the biggest things i like i try to do nowadays to be honest to stay so far ahead of things and take my time
Starting point is 01:04:58 with things you know what i mean really uh november ninth is no good firewolf i can't do that the old me could do that but i can't do that you know i got to set up a uh a pre-order i got to sell out I send out, rather, like, 150 emails to different people to help me, you know, in order to sell a book and to actually sell a book and to sell copies and make some money, which I could argue is not really my motivation with this one. well done nub well done that one's going in uh that one's going into the into the live because that's too good nob says how did you run out of coffee don't you own a coffee company it's a very good point i'll tell you what if i run out of coffee it's a problem like it's been a long time since anybody's had coffee um i meant like the cup right i don't have to explain my you know what you're doing this is why we love
Starting point is 01:06:04 you uh but yeah you got to send out all kind of emails to people hey i'm gonna release a book on the ninth would you mind would you please could i beg you to please tell somebody tell your wife at least for god's sakes you know what i mean one of those things and uh you do enough pandering and like people buy the book you know what i mean all right firewolf have a good night my man I, uh, I'm not far behind. I promise you that. I'm not far behind. I hope you guys are having a good time. I don't know. It's a slow kind of stream. Not slow like, you know, we got great people in chat. It's fun. I feel slow and not in a bad way. Relaxed. You know, like I don't have to jump into the next thing immediately. It just is what it is. You know, it's one of those nice.
Starting point is 01:06:59 nights. It's one of those nights. We'll leave through old Dante. 1933 first edition. I found this book in Yorktown. 1933 first edition. Poets in brief. This is the Dante Gabriel Rosetti anthology. One of the cool things about this book, man. It has a bunch of the author put together. like a bunch of poets that would have inspired Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Poets of Dante's Circle. Of course, the first being Dante Alligieri, right? The purgatory, heaven and hell, you know, the whole thing, right?
Starting point is 01:07:48 The divine comedy. Sino da pistola, Pistoya. Sino da Pistoya. Eko Angiolevi de Siena. Giovanni Bochachio? Giovanni Bochacho. Wow. What a name.
Starting point is 01:08:10 What a name, by the way. Who's the lucky lady that ran into the poet by the name of Giovanni Bochacho? Oh, yeah. He's really handsome and has a great tan. What's his name? Giovanni Bochacho. Pretty good I don't know
Starting point is 01:08:32 I don't read these Italian poets I really don't I've never read any of their poems I go right to Old Dante Oh wow Look at this
Starting point is 01:08:43 My father told me a secret Let me tell you a secret I'm not going to show you the photograph Because my son would be mad My dad Has a bunch of fishing books You know and he marks the pages like this, the important pages,
Starting point is 01:09:02 with photographs of his kids, little school ones like that. And I carried that on. And I marked this. I didn't even remember I marked it. We might as well get into it. This is an original by Dante. It's the second poem in the anthology of originals called My Sister's Sleep, which is awesome, first of all, because his...
Starting point is 01:09:27 his sister's arguably more famous than him, Christina Rosetti. She wrote a poem called The Goblin Market that is, it's up there. You know what I mean? But look at this. How long is this? I'm not going to read to you and read to you. But I'm going to read. I think we're going to end on this, actually.
Starting point is 01:09:47 Let's end on this. I'm going to put the, what should we put up to end? I did zero promotion of sponsors tonight. I am very sorry. I mean it. It is what it is one of those. It's one of those shows. So we'll end with little Dante Gabriel Ozzetti.
Starting point is 01:10:12 My sister's sleep. This is, I never read this. I never read this, I guess, until I found it. And then I read it once through and said, oh, my God, I can't believe it. And put Carter's picture in the book page so that I would find it again in the future in a moment just like this when we spent the end of the show talking about Christmas and then we happened into the anthology of Dante Gabriel Rosetti
Starting point is 01:10:40 my sister's sleep she fell asleep on Christmas Eve at length the long ungranted shade of weary eyelids overweight the pain not else might yet relieve our mother who had leaned all day over the bed from chime to chime then raised herself for the first time and she sat her down to pray her little work table was spread with work to finish for the glare made by her candle she had care to work some distance from the bed
Starting point is 01:11:19 without there was a cold moon up of winter radiance sheer and thin Ooh, Dante, the hollow, the hollow halo it was in was like an icy crystal cup. Come on, dude. Oh, let's, can we do that one more time? Without, there was a cold moon up, a winter radiant, sheer, and thin. The hollow halo it was in was like an icy crystal cup. through the small room with subtle sound
Starting point is 01:11:56 of flame by vents the fire shine drove and reddened in its dim alcove the mirror shed a clearness round I had been sitting up some nights and my tired mind felt weak and blank like a sharp strengthening wine it drank the stillness and the broken lights twelve struck that sound by dwindling years
Starting point is 01:12:22 heard in each hour crept off and then the ruffled silence spread again like water that a pebble stirs. Our mother rose from where she sat, her needles as she laid them down, met lightly in her silken gown,
Starting point is 01:12:44 settled, no other noise than that. Glory unto the newly born. So as said Amiens, she did say, because we were in Christmas Day, though it would still be long till morn. Just then in the room over us, there was a pushing back of chairs, as someone who had sat unawares, so late now heard the hour and rose. With anxious, softly stepping haste, our mother went where Margaret lay. Fearing the sound overheard, should they, have broken her long watched for rest.
Starting point is 01:13:25 Oh, so it wasn't Christine, it was his other sister, Margaret. I didn't even know he had another sister named Margaret. She stooped an instant calm in turn, but suddenly turned back again, and all her features seemed in pain, with woe and her eyes glazed and yearned. For my part,
Starting point is 01:13:47 I but hid my face, and held my breath and spoke no word. word. There was none spoken, but I heard the silence for a little space. Our mother bowed herself and wept, and both my arms fell, and I said, God knows I knew that she was dead, and there all white my sister slept. Then kneeling upon Christmas morn, a little after twelve o'clock, we said air the first quarter struck Christ's blessing on the newly born
Starting point is 01:14:23 Not bad Dante Not bad What I'm not 100% sure about is whether or not She died or not To survive says we should have a cold brew coffee called icy crystal cup I don't know if it would work in the disaster coffee world Yeah
Starting point is 01:14:51 It sounds like pompous and annoying But I am a man of many worlds And I got to be careful Because You know Sometimes they mix and sometimes they don't And I've learned that over the years You know what I mean
Starting point is 01:15:08 But on surviving America I do whatever the hell I want and it's free that's the beauty of it you can you don't have to stick around right all right we're getting out of here folks i do appreciate you let's do a little uh let's do a little something let's do a little preppers medical handbook folks written by william w forgy md listen you're going to want something to turn to you're going to want something to turn to you're going to want Something to turn to one of the most, one of the, like, most popular things to search up when it's, when you start getting into preparedness is kind of how to build a first aid kit, what to put in a first aid kit in an I fact, which first aid kit do I buy? I've never bought, well, not never, but it's rare that I've ever come across a first aid kit that really blew my mind.
Starting point is 01:16:06 in my opinion it's much better to build a first aid kit and build it out of things that you need and start with really good cloth band-aids you know what i mean really good not bandages i'm talking about regular old band-aids but the cloth band-aids are just the band-aid you know what i mean the preppers medical handbook um gives you all the information you need to build your own medical cash first aid kit whatever i called a medical cash because it's going to be a lot if you if you buy the things that are recommended in the modules in that book it's going to be a lot more than just a first aid kit okay yeah the book's like 20 bucks it's like 20 dollar book it's worth its weight and gold there's antibiotic information in their dosage amounts for antibiotics the whole thing i
Starting point is 01:17:03 mean it's an amazing book even book even information about dealing with with fallout and radiation. It's amazing. It's amazing. And the amazing doctor who wrote it practiced off-grid medicine in Haiti, saved lives. It's a beautiful thing. And it's our longest standing sponsor, really. The Preppers Medical Handbook has been our sponsor for like six years now or something like that.
Starting point is 01:17:28 And ever grateful for you, Dr. Forgey, I'm out of here. PBN family.
