Society in every state is a blessing.
The government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil.
The future has already arrived.
Welcome into Surviving America, folks.
Let's get right down to.
it. James Walton with you. Bored to death of the news.
Like, not even mulling over it. Like, just looking like nauseated by it all. You know what I mean?
Just nothing peaking my interest whatsoever. Morning to the Phoenix in chat. Welcome.
We're going to do something that I so rarely do. It really is probably a missed opportunity.
but I never do it.
I don't know what it is.
Maybe because it's set up.
Maybe because I'm not like really super gear guy.
It's not that I'm not super gear guys.
I'm not let me show you my gear guy.
You know what I mean?
That's really not kind of my thing.
I don't know.
I don't get off on that.
Oh, let me show you the new thing.
I like to tell you about the new thing.
That I really like to do.
You know what I mean?
But to show you the new thing.
I don't know.
But I'm in the mood.
I feel like a wife.
I'm in the, honey, I'm in the mood to talk about gear.
Are you sure?
Let me hop in the shower.
So that's what we're going to do today.
That's what we're going to do today.
Talk some gear.
I have two backpacks next to me.
And we're going to go through, did I really get rid of the God almighty I did?
We're going to go through really whatever's at arm length.
That's really what got me today.
What got me today was looking around and going like, what's it?
What's at arm's length?
And the rare thing is like I have a bunch of books, always at arm's length.
And none of them really were moving me.
You know what I mean?
None of them were like, oh, let's read out of this.
Let's talk about this.
Let's do this.
Let's do that with the books, with the literature, with the fiction, with the nonfiction, whatever.
None of it really moved me.
And like I said, today it seemed like the gear.
It seemed like a gear kind of day.
I don't know. It seemed like the kind of day to talk about some cool gear.
And so we're going to do that.
I'm winter level caffeinated, okay?
And that's a thing.
Like, that's a definite thing.
Winter level caffeination is different.
It is a whole other level.
Is that Jay Panetto in the chat?
What is going on?
The Firewolf is with us.
The Master of the Christmas Hook himself, the Firewolf.
Before we get into gear, okay?
Before we get into gear, I got to do it.
I got to do it.
I got to show it.
I got to show you the deal.
I got to let everybody know who hasn't heard within the sound of my voice, okay?
And the reason is because Chin did an amazing thing, right?
The comms wizard here at PBN did an amazing thing.
He put together this mesh-tastic hour-long class for Preper Camp.
Sarah Hathaway did an amazing thing.
She invited him on to do it and record.
it on the changing earth i clipped it the video put it uh on our website as a course essentially
but within an hour's time suffice it to say you'll be able to understand what all this meshtastic
radio node network business is right you'll understand the the the process of going from
buying this to be well you probably had to buy more than that but buying at least that um
I'd say get at least two if you want to play, right?
You're going to need at least two.
Well, that's not necessarily.
If you want to play with someone in your house, right?
But if you want to play with the larger mesh-tastic world at large.
But taking that little radio and then being able to send a message via text to someone without any cell signal whatsoever.
Okay?
No cell signal whatsoever.
It's kind of one of those sort of like built for prepper, built for.
for off grid communication things, okay?
Go to the website, PBNFamily.com.
You can register for the course.
If you're a member, then you could just go watch the video, right?
All our membership courses are called, all of our courses are membership included.
And for those of you who are unaware, it costs five bucks a month to become a member, okay?
You can become a lifetime member for 250 bucks and never think about it again.
But five bucks, you know, gets the access to this and everything else.
on the membership website most importantly for those of you who are members you should go watch
this because every prepper should see chin's mesh-tastic course i mean i'll be honest with you
if you're smart enough driven enough you can watch this for free i'll just leave it at that
but i know what i've learned over the years convenience rules right convenience rules so that's why it's a
masterclass it's not a masterclass i didn't take the original podcast video well it is what it is
if you're smart enough if you're driven enough you can find this for free um but for the vast
majority of you well many of you are members already so it is free enjoy okay enjoy
please check it out please watch it because you you know everyone should know it everyone should
watch it everyone should at least be able to say this is something i want to
add to my pace plan this is not something i want to add to my pace plan it's really that simple
you know one thing about the mesh tastic that's really awesome we were talking about new york city
on monday night is uh sort of underground comms networks or behind the scenes comms networks or
off the grid comms networks right for resistance am i allowed to say that word anymore it's
another word that's been captured resistance i don't know so look um i guess i probably should
show you this the right thing to do not all the gear that we're playing around with is going to come
out of this this double backpack set and like i said this is purely one of those situations
where like you know i i just drug these bags of gear over here and said you know let's talk about
some gear. But we're going to be pulling from the gray man packs. Okay. I talk about the gray man
kit from Lima Tango Survival. Yes, they are our incredible sponsor. No, I cannot find the
kit. Come on, man. Am I spelling it wrong? Oh, Lima Tango Survival. Your website search
bars a little bit of a pain you might want to upgrade that or hmm we're going to have to bring it up
via Google there we go came right up so largely we're going to be pulling out of this kit right
here 48 hour survival kit if you would have bought it when I first introduced it
bought it when I first told you about it, it would have saved you some money.
It looks to have changed in price.
I was worried about that.
There was a time when this bag was going for about $3.90.
See, one of the things that happens, I guess I should tell you about this because this is a thing.
This is a trend in survival gear, survival food.
Just pay attention, okay?
This is a trend.
It's not a trend.
It's just the nature of doing business, I think.
many times we get a sponsor and the sponsor's brand new
and they want to offer a great value
and they're like putting things out at prices
like you look at and go like, how's that work?
And when I got this kit
and we laid everything out from this kid on the ground
at Dave Jones Homestead
after we did our Appalachian Apparach and me and Ben
the breaker of the banksters, we laid everything out and looked at it all
and I told them what it cost and they both looked at me
And we're like, how?
There's how pricing.
There's how question mark pricing that happens in the early stages of a business.
Most of the time, they're just getting their, you know, getting their head on straight.
They've done some calculations.
They figured stuff out to some degree, pardon me.
And it's how question mark pricing.
So when I bring a new sponsor on, a lot of times, you know, a lot of times you,
you will, you'll see a price that doesn't make sense. And sometimes that price might not make
sense. Sometimes that price might be an incredible deal for you. You know what I mean? Because the
business itself hasn't figured out that that price doesn't make sense. And then the bills start
coming in. And then, you know, all these weird costs that you didn't factor in start coming in.
And you go, oh, okay, I guess now we need to raise a price a bit. So this back.
bag has gone up in price, you know, by what, 65 bucks, 75 bucks almost, and actually at
455 for two, this is two bags now, it's two backpacks filled with great gear.
Now it kind of looks like it makes sense to me.
So these adjustments happen.
I'm just telling you because a lot of times we wind up with sponsors who come in to the game
and you know they're at a certain price point and i'm looking at it going like that's pretty
nice right there i'm talking to somebody right now actually who's kind of in that boat i'm looking
at their product i'm going like i'm going to show you guys don't get me wrong but it's what just
it's one of those things i mention it i don't take advantage of anybody i'll say man you guys
prices are crazy low you know what i mean it's just one of those things so and also i never
underestimate anybody i'm never like because i'm no genius with pricing and business right i sell
overpriced coffee well not overpriced but it you know just the price point it has to be for the
way we do business um and the quality coffee that it is so you know it is what it is i just want
to give you a little heads up and let you know there comes a time in every man's life when he
sees a price and goes i think that's a deal right you throw a price like that at dave jones he
can barely resist by the way he's a he's the deal master so let's do it let's get into some
gear what should we talk about whatever piques the interest is what we're going to get into
okay you guys got comments questions what have you uh and we'll get into it okay incredible sponsor
by the way lemitango survival lima tango survival i think we should probably talk about one of my
favorite and most affordable little lifesavers here let's see if this guy is just like mine
the emergency sleeping bivvy probably one of the most underrated pieces of survival gear there
is in terms of staying alive right it's unassuming it's really hard to make like a tricked
that one. It's really hard to make like a super expensive one. I've seen them like 35 bucks.
But, you know, the thing about it is some of these things, they just work. Oh yeah, this is a good one. This one's
illuminated plastic. Helps retain body heat. Yeah, the whole thing. So you guys familiar with the
emergency bivvy? I imagine the majority of you are. I guess we could pull it out if we really
want to make a mess for the commander to deal with later i'll tell you from personal experience
um you know you want to throw like i was talking about this the other day i think i even mentioned
it uh about preparing for winter you know what i mean and preparing a vehicle for winter like
covers and candles and all that kind of stuff cool nothing wrong with it but these guys right here
this little basically what it is is one of those emergency blankets largely just in the shape of a sleeping bag
without a zipper on the side more like you climb into the inside of the thing you know what I mean
and this this is sacrily right here by the way like this is the worst thing you can do you
have an you have an emergency bivie like the last thing you want to do is open that thing up
because look at it you're never getting it back there's no way i'm going to get this thing back to the way
that it was but i just want to show you kind of what the deal is it's like a big human it's a big
insulated human trash bag basically you see this is how it works you get up inside this thing
not head first probably suffocate but you get you get inside of it basically huge this one
is huge you could get two people in here but you put your feet in that thing man
climb inside of here and uh i'm telling you right now you will be sweating my biggest
problem with the survival bivvy is that it's sweat you know what i mean let's get in why
they're dirt cheap like i said they take up zero space
you could put four of these in your console in your car four of these in your glove box in your car and you wouldn't even recognize the fact that they are like there like we wouldn't say to take up no space you're seen with the package that they come in and if you found yourself in it's how annoying is this crinkle if you found yourself in a situation where like you know you were uh in a winter's you know
a winter car breakdown you would it would be none issue i'm telling you it's i did one year i was
waiting for my buddy to get to a campsite and sitting there like freezing you know basically
the fire was going out it was getting late and i was he he was the guy with the tent i made that error
he was the guy with the tent um and you know he was behind schedule and we're up on the side of the
mountain in virginia and you know the whole thing and the campfires going down and i'm getting tied
and I'm like I guess I'll go to sleep in the car and when he shows up we'll set
everything up in the still of the night right and to me it was like way too cold to
get comfortable sleeping and I pulled out the old who's the company that used to
make them I can't think there's a company that made these bivies and they did a
great job and everybody had them for a short time can't think of it doesn't matter
They all work the same.
You know what I mean?
Like I said, there's little, like little nuances.
Some of them have hoods.
You know, you want to pay a little more money.
You get a hood.
I'm so cozy right now, man.
It's crazy how quick this technology holds your body heat.
You know what I mean?
An essential, by the way, for like hypothermia situation, you know, tip over in a canoe this time of year situation.
Anything like that, man, you can cozy up with somebody.
one of these things if their body temperature is dropping this what it is the reason you don't
hear about these the reason people don't talk about the bivy is it's too cheap so like if i were
to put an affiliate link in it all everybody buy the bivie with the affiliate link like i make like
a penny and a half per so item sold you know what i mean so there's no monetary value and the
other thing is um they don't hold sort of the uh i don't know like the tacticalness it's not like
a super lightweight ultra light backpacking sleeping bag that you could fit down into the wrapper of a mars bar
you know what i mean it's like nothing it's nothing like that it's just super simple and it works
and i like i want to go to bed in it right now like no doubt about it i i
I could just curl up and sleep in this thing right now because it literally, it just dominates your body heat.
It just holds it so well.
I don't know.
Like top three pieces of gear, literally, literally like top three, top five pieces of gear.
Like if my kids were set out against harsh conditions, well, they all have them in their bags.
And when I put their bags together, even when they were little, right?
They all, like, get the, it works too good.
Do you want to be cold?
Do you want to freeze?
you know what i mean now forgive me but i want to get out of this thing and it's going to be
loud i wanted to get in it because i'm likely never going to be able to fold it back up to
what it was ever again right but that's it's all this light weighs nothing that i don't even know
two ounces what does a bivvy weigh okay have a good day guys that's it that's cool enough
What else we got?
One of the standout things about the gray man kit,
I don't want to turn this into a gray man kit review
because I'm not really interested in reviewing anything.
I just want to talk about gear.
But a lot of bags, you go and search like a pre-made bag,
and you'll see the difference in gloves.
You know what I mean?
What gloves come with a bag.
Sometimes they're halfway decent.
Sometimes you get those Undertaker,
those Undertaker yarn.
lawn gloves that are just absolutely like they're the worst my dog they're so bad they're like
raw hide like my dog ate them like raw hide i think we got to cheat this down a little bit to show stuff
off and get back in the center oh johnny johnny johnny see you touch johnny too much he files a
sexual harassment claim and goes away he gets upset he's like yeah think you're gonna put your
hands all over me in front of a live studio audience okay come back to me johnny i cannot perform a show
about survival gear without a cap on i'm sorry buddy oh it's not coming back
let's see let's see what kind of uh massaging i have to do to get him back
Oh, there he is.
You see?
Finicky, nice and easy.
All right, I promise.
I'm just going to touch you briefly.
So these are cool.
You know, this little weird little thing here, the knuckle.
I think, like, people think it's like Batman, so you can punch people.
It really is kind of just, like, protect your knuckles.
I don't know.
They're nice gloves.
They're good, you know?
Yeah, there's no doubt, like having a nice pair of gloves is essential.
it's one of those things most people don't really appreciate it until you like you start to get this number you ever get the number right here after you're like swinging an axe or digging a hole or something like that where the skin starts to work off and you're like oh maybe maybe gloves the standard here is what i like right the standard these are excel size gloves i'd highly recommend if you order one of these kits make sure you get an excel because my hands ain't
big so make sure you get yourself in excel what else we got in the old bag in the old bag pack
these are good man these n95s they were uh kind of turned into a laughing stock during covid
and everything like that but you know i'm always reminded of 9-11 and the dust clouds billowing through
the streets right i'm always reminded of
reminded of 9-11 and what a difference this would have made if you had to traverse the streets in
that situation right because that was a very real thing that was a very real thing so n95s another
thing like like the bivy dirt cheap right dirt cheap way nothing easy to pack how many of these
could you pack in a glove box how many of these could you pack into a small um you know like a
small little pouch and put them in your car put them in your you know your carry bag everyday
carry bag oh the woken the woken now look these things get a lot of love um because we all daydream
about sort of building our own wilderness survival shelters and you know loving it living that
life disappearing into the
into the great unknown
I'll tell you this much about
this guy's a little loose
for some reason
I can't remember what I used it for last
I'll tell you one thing about the folding saw
though like
this is a maintenance tool that everyone should have
in their house
they really I mean if you have
anything in your yard that ever needs
trimming that's made
you know that's foliage
right anything
would yeah i mean i've even cut like woodwood with these like lumber you know just reach for it real
quick and lop a piece off for one thing or another the teeth on this baby are they are a marvel
and i think that's what most people don't appreciate about these folding see if i can get it's got
it's got to be like super close to pull this off but the teeth if you see the teeth up i don't
think i don't think i have the device for it oh it's so close it's so close it's so close
the teeth are double uh beveled they're two edges on them can't see it
if you look up close the teeth have two edges on them and uh it's just great I mean
these are just hyper efficient man they're they're hyper efficient any bug out
bag any kind of outdoor camping you know survival bag that you're going to use like
definitely doesn't have to be awoken it's just what came with
bag but the folding saw man the fold and good luck making a folding saw you know like there's a lot
of stuff as a like baseline prepper survivalist bushcrafter that you can finagle together right
good luck throwing a saw together okay good luck throwing together a saw this massive just
absolutely ridiculously oversized they
This is what the
I guess this is what the New York voters
will be wearing in the midterms, right?
You pull up to the midterms
that look like this, just a big line of this.
Right, everybody lined up.
Okay, let me move up.
Do you have ID?
Of course I don't have ID.
You can't even see my face anymore.
What the hell do you need ID for?
Mamdani.
Al's Wahiri.
Whoever
Whoever's on the ticket.
I'm a big fan.
I went through a, I went through a serious shemog phase, man, like a, like a real, uh, wrapping my head up like a, I don't know, whatever.
But I'll tell you one thing.
The net coverage in the winter is everything.
And if you, you know, if you don't want to pull off a, you know, like a legitimate scarf, these guys are great.
And these guys are great for all kinds of things.
I don't want to be like that guy and go over like,
Use it as an arm sling or you can use it as a
But suffice it to say man
You can do tons of stuff with this thing
Tons shoot I used to pull
I used to pull these babies out
When we were out and about and the kids fell asleep
You know what I mean like the kid like we'd be out and about
And the kids would fall asleep
You know on a bench or in the grass or in the back of the car
Whatever the situation I'd pull out not this because this is new
But I had another one the one that Jay Ferg actually made me
and throw it on them.
I used to have some 3V gear ones that I'd pull out.
A square of cloth.
Like a big square of cloth.
This is one of the reasons.
My affinity for this kind of stuff, this kind of stuff, right?
Gloves, socks, schmogs.
Like my affinity for this type of survival gear is probably the real reason that I'm not survival gear.
do you know what i mean it's probably the the biggest reason why because these are the things
that actually work these are the things that actually worked for me and have worked for me the
most over the years like i've got cool flashlights you know what i mean like oh lights and uh who's the
other company i don't you know you got the stuff right the sort of
trendy flashlight, the trendy tactical flashlight of the time.
And what I realized about those flashlights, barely use them, barely use them.
I mean, if you're really honest about it, you know what I mean, barely use them.
I go out there with it sometime, you know what I mean?
Like, you use it, but don't get me wrong, but you barely use it in comparison to how much
I'd use something like this in a year, how much I'd use something like this in a real survival
situation, right, in a real camp out.
Like, how long did you walk around at a campsite with this on?
If you're smart, you put a headlamp on it costs you $6.99 and you're good to go for the weekend, right?
Like, I don't know.
This is why this is why I don't gush over new and improved and updated survival gear.
You know what I mean?
It just doesn't move me.
It don't move me.
This is cool, though.
tried these. These aren't bad. These are a cool little, little meal. It is like a May Day bar in texture, but with a hell of a lot more going on. Right. Hell of a lot more going on. High energy bar multivitamin. These come in the in the gray man kit as is, right? And they got calcium and zinc. The five milligrams of zinc in this thing is a big deal, actually.
that's probably the biggest benefit of all i don't know if we can get that close but
that's probably about the biggest benefit of this whole thing vitamin d i don't know if your
body's absorbing that or not but you got your b vitamin niacin another big 4.5 milligram niacin
why immune system immunity right you're in a survival situation you want to eat you want to have
energy and you want your immune so you probably didn't sleep that great you know who goes
camping and sleeps that great let alone in a survival situation you want to eat you
situation so you have that kind of energy uh from the food itself and also from the uh the supplements
that are inside the high energy bar and it's you know it is what it is it's wheat it's milk
it's vegetable oil it's sugar you know what i mean it's it's just one of those things it's just
compressed calories and fats or compressed flowers and fats um what is it total 125 grams
491 calories
491 cows so you know
almost a quarter of your daily intake
nice
nice little food option food item
oh man I was looking for these the other day
I feel silly even showing you
like the the competitor in me doesn't even want to show you this
but it's a really nice it's a really nice little
thing that you could make yourself um we got instant coffee we won't talk about the brand
we've got sugar aquatabs electro light coffee mate again like this this is what i'm talking
about guys it's black rifle coffee for those of you are listening and i guess those of you
are listening are probably going to have a pretty bad time with this show i don't know
What I will do in the audio podcast, I guess I should do this for all of them.
What kind of an idiot, am I?
For the audio podcast, there's a link down below in the audio notes that will be the video.
Okay, it will be the video.
I trade this for almost anything in the bag.
Have you ever been in a situation where you need something like that?
you know what i mean like you i understand that and you should understand that if you are a desk jockey
and you do a job that requires you sit down for six hours a day or something along those lines
like you have to understand you're jumping right into a different kind of fantasy a different kind
of S-H-T-F, T-O-T-O-Tawaki fantasy than the average.
And then what you're going to deal with immediately, right?
So you're jumping into a sort of tactical, cool, cool guy fantasy where you're surviving.
And it's like 15 days into it and you're on your grind and you're setting up defensive
perimeters or having a firefight with marauders or whatever.
I don't know.
However it lays out in your head.
But what I can tell you from like real struggles, real challenges that we've put ourselves through at PBN, this is what you want.
In fact, you want more of this.
Do you know what I mean?
Because every survival day, every day, every challenging day in a survival situation, you're going to wake up and be like, oh, God, if I had a cup of coffee right now, this would be a hell of a lot better.
And the aquatabs are huge.
The electrolyte, listen, you can't make a survival series or a survival movie or a survival novel or anything along those lines and make electrolyte the main character.
You know what I mean?
It won't sell.
It won't do good.
It won't be fun.
You can't do it with a video game.
But when we were hiking the Appalachian Trail, we would have done anything.
for electrolyte and after we got the first sip of liquid IV like I brought some liquid
IV because I knew what it's going to be didn't I or did we use this we may have actually used
this same electrolyte out of this exact bag because we carried these same bags when we stopped
and kneeled and got water and put electrolyte in that water and had that first taste because
with with electrolyte when you've been hustling
hiking, sweating, and you get that first taste of the electrolyte, your body knows instantly
what's going on. Like, it instantly knows what's going in there and knows that, oh, my God,
we're going to be all right. We sat down a second time when we were nearing the end and refilled
water again and electrolyte. We've done anything for that electrolyte. You know what I mean? Like,
really like anything because we our bodies and our minds and the whole mission was like
this is what's going to get us through you know what i mean it wasn't the the tactical
flashlights it was it wasn't the the cool knives it definitely wasn't the night vision goggles
or the plate carrier that was going to get us through that right nothing wrong with any of that
stuff i'm not knocking it i'm just saying this type of
base level prep when you're when you're in a situation that's high stress high energy whatever
high exertion like that leads to everything like that makes everything better almost instantly
you know what i mean you're under serious exertion and you can get a cold drink with electrolyte in
it or you're waking up from a nightmare of an evening and you can have a hot coffee maybe with
some creamer in it for you guys who bastardized coffee um it's just this is survival gear to me
do you know what i mean this is too and i'm not even like a veteran i haven't even been in
the military i can only imagine to like somebody like the firewolf or the phoenix who've been
in the military or probably born to brap too like what would you guys have done on mission or
whatever for a pack like that i if you have
haven't had that kind of stuff in a while you know what i mean because to me that's just what makes
the world go around you know the day to day the day to day not if you're like under fire you know
what i mean then i guess you got different priorities what else we got in here should we talk about
the humble cordage the humble cordage is important this is a really cool feature by the way
Like, I can talk about Limitango, Survivals, Gear.
They are a sponsor, right?
They're a paying sponsor of the network.
So all that to be transparent.
But at the same time, I want you to understand the guy that puts these kits together, like,
there are details that are unbelievable in the kit.
Here's another type of detail.
You know what I mean?
You know what it is?
It's the, like, there's no assumption that.
that everybody's going to get it and i really like that there's no assumption that somebody's
going to have a background in survival gear what i'm showing off right now is a hank of uh
o d green paracord and what they've done is marked the end of the hank right so that you
could pull it and start using it you know without like which one of these is and messing the
whole thing up it's really cool i don't know just a super cool
little detail that I love you do all kinds of stuff with this do I have to go over
it I have to tell you why cordage is essential well here's here's my challenge to you
if you think not having like bank line or paracourt is important like really
top of the heap importance then go make cordage right now you know I mean go make
reliable cordage here you go here's a great challenge
because we all are into wilderness shelters and building shelters and all that kind of stuff right you know what a ridge pole is or a ridge line right i'm assuming the vast majority of you know what a ridge pole or ridge line is right it's kind of the basis of like every lean to right it's what you lean on the basis of a tarp shelter is a ridge line right most of the most of the time um go make me some cordage or make yourself some cordage
out of whatever you can find out in the woods,
and then set up a ridge pole between two trees
and lash that ridge pole to the trees
using the cordage that you've found slash created.
Do you know what I mean?
And number one, see how long that takes.
And number two, see how confident you are
in that ridge pole staying up
because this could be your your shelter right and then think about how easy it is to throw this
in your backpack and know if you know what you're doing if you know how to lash properly like
i could do pull-ups off of a off of a ridge pole that's lashed with paracourt you know what i mean
so again not flashy not fancy we've got a total of right now we have a total of like
We're 38 minutes into a survival gear show.
Between the Bivie, the Yum Yum Pack, the Paracord, the high energy bar, the gloves, are we at 40 bucks?
I don't know what the gloves cost, but are we at 50 bucks?
You know, we've got food, we've got water, we've got coffee.
We don't have water, but we have everything we need to make water potable, right?
with the aquatabs in here.
We've got food, we've got water,
we've got one of the toughest parts about making shelter, right?
We've got a temporary shelter.
So you make a lean-to and then you make it low to the ground
using your cordage and saplings, whatever, branches that you find.
You sleep under it.
You get insulated as you see fit.
I don't want to go into it.
But you sleep under it in your bivvy.
put your gloves on for good measuring
in case you have a nightmare
and you got food
this is all random too
I didn't even plan to pick these things out
it's just at random you know what I mean
but at random for about 50 bucks
if you know minimal amounts
of stuff
you have like a basic basic level
survival kit you don't even really need these
I mean maybe
the saw would help the woken saw would probably
put us closer to a hundred bucks and I would like to have that but if you had a survival
knife you could wing it another emergency blanket if you wanted this could go over your
your lean-to shelter another another layer of protection there what hell we got here's a
great piece of gear and one that you would have to have or else
You wouldn't necessarily have to have it, but it would be kind of a pain to make your coffee and do your aquatabs without it.
Now, you could take one piece or two.
You know what I mean?
One piece or two would be fine.
Basically, what I have is a steel bottle, single-walled steel bottle, which is essential, with plastic lid that's on really tight.
Ew.
We used this one, and I never cleaned it out.
And now there's a strange, like this is like one of those horror movie moments where something jumps out.
I can still smell the electrolyte in it.
You got to clean that guy.
But anyhow, the Rover Camel, 1050 milliliter, single wall is essential.
If it's got insulation in there, it can do all kinds of bad stuff, not the least of which is like pop or, you know.
this guy right here though the roval 750 milliliter uh steel cup this is how it all goes down this is how you
make your this is how you heat up your little meal this is how you boil your water this is how
you make your coffee and take it in the morning this is really cool it even has a uh i didn't notice
this in the dark but it even has a little measurement on the inside
again i don't know what they cost but a single you know this kind of stuff's dirt cheap guys
like i'm sure like one of the flashlights i have costs more than every piece of gear that we
talked about here thus far you know what i mean and it's just a reminder like what really matters
you know what really matters um i don't know is anything else move me today i hope you
I hope you enjoyed the episode.
It's a rare one.
It's a very rare one.
It's not something I get into on a regular basis.
We've got our big old emergency ration blueberry.
3,600 calorie, baby.
You know, one of these bags has a...
This is a really cool benefit.
This is another Lima Tango special.
Not something that I would necessarily want to, like, kill myself for.
um but still like just a nice detail do these things fit me now we're going superhero mode baby
some legitimate goggles you know what i mean a lot of kids come with those like i'm starting
to become like a superhero in my own right um a lot of kids come with those
terrible like science class goggles they throw them in there like you know you're in a bad
a bad place when you've got the science class goggles and the hardware store like
gardening gloves like you know you're in trouble you bought something you probably
shouldn't have purchased you know is what it is it's the thought that goes into these
kits that's pretty cool we get a little windio radio I don't know at the end of the
Today, you know, what it all comes down to is I'm talking about the gear that moves me,
and I'm talking about the gear that really makes the difference, like, when I'm out and about,
the things that I've had to use, the things that have helped me out a lot, right?
Oh, a beanie with goggles built in is pretty cool.
Yeah.
Yeah, again, you know, fashion is the last on the list when you're throwing goggles on, right?
you're not like oh i hope i look hot with my goggles so there's a ton more stuff in this bag like i said
i didn't this was not a show that was designed to sell you on survival gear anything like that
it was really just frankly like something what did i want to talk about today you know what i mean
like i did not want to get into donald trump talk and all that kind of stuff this morning
or you know there was stuff that came over the wire that was somewhat interesting but none of it was
really something that moved me and i was looking around and i was going oh this was kind of some cool
stuff around which you probably talk about i didn't think it would be so basic um i mean we were really
sort of like basic basic but what i liked about it is again what works what's going to work
what are you really going to call on in an emergency situation you know what i mean
because it is the holiday shopping season and you're going to see survival kits you're going you know
first aid kits are the worst first aid kits are the absolute worst when it comes to a bunch of
survival gear or a bunch of gear packed into a thing and like 90% of it you won't use you know what
i mean because i would argue to be honest with you i would argue that i could pull out a handful of
fire starters nothing wrong with striking a ferro rod but if i have a lighter i'm not touching a
ferrow rod. All right, folks, I'm hitting the road. I'm like literally about to pee my pants.
I drank way too much coffee today. So visit pbnfamily.com, guys, sign up for a membership.
Go to lemitangosurvival.com. Do some shopping. Do some holiday shopping. Check out their
EDC kid. I think that's one of the best gifts you can give someone who's completely unprepared.
You know, slip the EDC kid in the car. They've got capability. All right. I will talk to you guys soon.
It's the proper broadcasting network.
I hope you enjoyed surviving America.
