Starting point is 00:00:00 Society in every state is a blessing. The government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil. The future has already arrived. Welcome into surviving America folks. Thank you for joining me today. We're moving at warp speed. Okay. That's what's happening. We're moving at warp speed. Is it coffee warp? And because of that I thought we'd use episode 30 as an opportunity to kind of
Starting point is 00:00:50 announce the the many many many many many things That are going to too much shit going on long long and short of it There's too much going on here at the prepper broadcasting network. I'm about to announce more stuff right now and I don't know it's just one of those times in life where there's just too much going on and sometimes you got to plant the the sometimes you got to put the the spikes in the ground and drop anchor take stock of what's happening and tell your audience what what to prepare themselves for because I mean in all honesty it's it's wild right now it's all good you know every so often I'm just brought into this reminder of what
Starting point is 00:01:40 the prepper broadcasting network is you know what I mean like? There's nothing like PBN There's there still I look at the daily wire. I look at the blaze. I watch these guys I see what they're doing. There's a French Bulldog in a pit bull that are having a ball right now So you may hear them growling in the background? But I watch it look at all these guys and type of content they put out and yeah They have bigger audiences they you know, whatever the situation is more famous make more money all that kind of stuff those metrics But you can't find anything like PBN any I mean if you can please please show me Show me what you listen to that in a week's time is like PBN, because it's just, there's nothing like it.
Starting point is 00:02:27 So, Pat's on the back, all that kind of stuff. Nothing like the boss showing up and telling his listening audience that his network's the best and everyone else sucks. Just is what it is. Okay, today's show brought to you by, let's see if I can pull this off without breaking the entire show For those of you listening only I'm going To yank something down off the shelf In a very cluttered area Today's show brought to you by Lee Matango Survival folks. This is my bouquet You want to get mom something beautiful for Mother's Day get her the 72 hour EDC kit?
Starting point is 00:03:10 No, I'm sorry the EDC kit by Lima Tango Survival You see I have it set up. It's like a bouquet. It's beautiful. It hangs behind me there We got all kinds of capability if you remember I showed you this bandana a ways back awesome we got the multi-tool we got the chem light we got some food we got we've got the survival bracelet here this this pouch itself is actually you know you use everything up in this kit this pouch is really nice it's high quality more on the back looks like looks like I'm looking for the, looks like could be triple quadruple stitch on the seat on the important seams, you know. There's a mask in here. There's a really great poncho in here. Look, I'm going
Starting point is 00:04:00 to say it like I always say it, like I've been saying it, Lima Tango Survival solves problems guys. That's what they do You know if you're looking to buy any random old kit, you just want to buy a kit because you know kits are cool Do what you want with your money, but if you want to buy a kit from somebody who cares and who really makes makes a difference That's what you want. Oh Mike see over at X. What is up, man? I didn't even know we could get comments from X Jay Ferg have we ever got a comment from X before I
Starting point is 00:04:34 Thought that we didn't get to see those for some reason. I thought maybe that's a stream yard update. Very cool Yeah, I'll take it Mike see though great podcast. Check him out. He's doing a lot of cool stuff. A lot of like, like if you're looking to peak your interest on something relatively random, right? FirewolfForge in chat. What's up, man? We gotta get some FirewolfForge up for our members today. So, I'm gonna hit you now. We got sponsor out of the way. You see what else is up there? You see that little thing? Who knows what that is in the background there?
Starting point is 00:05:09 Anybody? Oh, the places you'll go. Isn't that Dr. Seuss book? We could use a bee guy. I have no idea about bees. I love honey. And I love beeswax candles. Love them.
Starting point is 00:05:26 I love the smell of them. You see, interesting story before we get into the avalanche of announcements. When I smell beeswax, it conjures very fond memories. Because when I was, I think in seventh seventh or maybe even sixth grade no no no no no I'm sorry when I was in eighth grade going into ninth grade I got dreadlocks as hard as that is to believe so I had these dreadlocks and I kept them slicked back it was like the front portion of my hair was all the hair I had and I dreaded all that and kept them slicked back and
Starting point is 00:06:11 Every morning to take care of my dreads I had to put you know beeswax in them to get them going and And and to keep them, you know looking nice and all that So I can when I smell beeswax candles burning and that kind of stuff. I just I can when I smell beeswax candles burning and that kind of stuff. I just I'm transported back to that time, you know, and that was a cool time and my girlfriend at the time got dreads too and she She changed her mind Like and it's not a thing you can I didn't think it was a thing you could really change your mind out of but we wound up salvaging Her hair pretty well
Starting point is 00:06:45 Actually, we salvaged her hair pretty well because like when you get dreads if you're white I don't know how it works if you're black because you have the naturally nappy hair already But if you're white like you teased the hair back to your head And your hair is screwed after that like my sister was in beauty school So it was cake. She did it for me and she did a great job. But I'm at like, like I got this little bit of hair was probably like down to here or something dreaded it up. But my girlfriend at the time had like hair, you know, I mean, like a girl's hair. And she teased all that stuff up. And somehow like,
Starting point is 00:07:21 it was a few days into the process of something shoots like having big regrets and we sat there and just Tried to get it all out as best we could So yeah fun memories from the beeswax and the scent of beeswax and beeswax candles for sure So let's get into it folks. Let's get into it. Okay, I think where we should start Is the world of Ready 2. Okay. Oh, perfect. I have a copy of the world of Ready 1 here.
Starting point is 00:07:52 So, as all great business decisions are made, so this is a children's book I wrote last year, published last year, all about really just a fun story that culminates in teaching your kid how to build a bug out bag and what should go in their bug out bag, basically. The story ends with this list and activity for your kid to do. But it was really fun. I really got super lucky and found an illustrator out of Bangladesh if you can believe it who somehow she just really captured this sort of whimsical wild world of ready that I wanted to reproduce and it it's awesome it's an awesome little read you
Starting point is 00:08:37 know probably like two-year-olds to eight-year-olds something like that you know and for the last year we've been creating the second one and That's all done. It's all wrapped ready to go. It's a new one It's all about really getting lost in the woods and dealing with that for kids And what they should do if they find themselves lost in the woods, which I think is a critical skill Not yeah So I'm skill. Not, yeah. So I'm talking, no, I wasn't talking to Chin actually. This came out of nowhere, right? The way that all well thought out and well planned business decisions are made.
Starting point is 00:09:15 A random audio message at 9.30 in the morning from one of your buddies who says, maybe you should release the new world of ready on Mother's Day. See you. Have a good day. Good enough, good enough for me. So the world of ready 2 will be out on Mother's Day. Maybe I should show you guys the cover. I know I posted in a bunch of places, but let's put the new cover up. Let's show everybody because it is a beautiful, it's a beautiful little whimsical world. There's no doubt about it.
Starting point is 00:09:51 So Camping Safety, the world of Ready 2, the little green guy goes by the name of Uda, and he's kind of the guide. And yes, his name is Uda for the purposes of the Uda know, he was a big part of why I did it that way. And Mother's Day, Mother's Day 2020. What are you doing, buddy? My biggest and baddest dog of them all just walked over here and is sitting here with me like like something
Starting point is 00:10:25 scared what what's your problem see the dogs are hams man like you think they're hams because they like to be on the on like when you bring the camera out some dogs are like real photogenic you know know This dudes a ham Did they kill the puppy what's going on he looks very concerned So world of ready to folks. It's a great book Really fun read. Like I said, there's very few ways that you can like grab a kid's Especially in that sort of like two to eight year old range Grab the kids attention talk to them about preparedness
Starting point is 00:11:14 camping a little easier because you can take them camping, but this gives you the ability to uh, you know Do that kind of thing and that was the whole goal with the world of ready was to create a fun Whimsical kind of book series that would capture kids attention, but also put preparedness in their mind at a very young age because Well, we used to have a we used to have an intro to the prepper broadcasting network that talked about creating a true culture Preparedness starting at a very young age and filtering all the way up and You know, it's just it's a good call, you know
Starting point is 00:11:52 All right folks I've got to go check on the dogs. I'm not sure what they're doing For the podcast audience. This may go a little quiet for a minute. I don't know if I have a Yeah, I don't think there's any audio here on this ad but check it out okay we're gonna run the Lima Tango Oh, I guess they wanted to get outside and go fox hunting. Lima Tango Survival, folks. Life's tough, get a helmet. Awesome sponsor.
Starting point is 00:12:43 Really, awesome sponsor really awesome sponsor well already to Mother's Day okay Mother's Day Mother's Day put it on your calendar if you got kids no kids have kids teach kids you know plan on having kids whatever the situation is and we will Jay Fergie says I pre-order flowers for mom and then I'm good for the month. Also prep ahead. We'll get a pre-order. We'll get a pre-order.
Starting point is 00:13:11 We will most likely do a free e-book giveaway to push that book up to number one, because that's how you get seen out there in the world. It's also a really nice feeling to know that your hard work has it's even Taking you to that position. So that's good world of ready to incoming Should we talk? Well since we're on the subject right because this this whole 18 second literally was an 18 second audio message over signal This whole 18 second audio message from the one and only Chin Gibson also spurred the second book release. So in kind of
Starting point is 00:13:53 like in passing I'd been talking about poems for men and this book that kind of came together faster than I thought. You know for those of you don't know there's books. There's a lot of books in the background. Like, I've written a lot of books. If you look up James Walton, author, page on Amazon, you'll see all the books that I've written. But the, there's always books being written, you know. So you got the PBN, you got the writing, you got the everything that I do in life, and then like there's also this hot plate. And on that hot plate, there's a bunch of books that I'm writing. Just because. Because I'm actually a writer, I guess. You know,
Starting point is 00:14:34 because actually what I am is a writer who just shoulders some other things. At the end of the day, I just really think that's what it is. I really think that I was born to be a writer. Because it's the thing that calls me back all the time. You know what I mean? It always calls me back. It's been in my head for a long, long time. I've been doing it for years and years. And I don't know, there's something about it. You know, there's something about sitting down and writing and editing it and going through and putting together story, putting together facts.
Starting point is 00:15:10 When lines come together just so, it's magic. But there's always books. This year will be probably the biggest publishing year of my life, I have to imagine, barring any cataclysmic events, that I'll publish three books this year. The world already is complete. Okay? Mother's Day release. And another great and well thought out business decision was, well, if we're gonna release a book on Mother's Day, then we might as well release a book on Father's Day. So we'll do poems for men will be out on Father's Day And this is gonna be real easy it's gonna be real easy to market because I'll be starving through the entire month of May
Starting point is 00:15:55 We'll get to that in a minute So I'll be releasing books editing finishing marketing books Podcasting and so, while all simultaneously starving to death in our survival challenge. So, you'll probably see some very interesting sides of the Commander throughout the month, you know, of May into June. Yeah, stay tuned. Stay tuned for that.
Starting point is 00:16:21 It might not always look pretty. That's what we'll go with. So this has been a collection of mostly never released poems. I did throw a book out there two years ago. Yeah, well that's a good point Firewolf Forge, but we'll talk about that in a minute. I did put a book out, The Darker Trails, in 2022, 23, something like that, Darker Trails. That book had some poems in it, right? Poetry is a big thing. Poetry is a big thing in life. It's a big thing in my life. I know it's not the cool thing. It's not really a super cool thing
Starting point is 00:17:10 But it's one of these things that stays ever close by And the reason for writing the book poems for men, um is because You deserve it dude You know what I mean? It's the same thing with art. You know with art and poetry. It's the thing that people read and enjoyed all the time. All throughout time and you know when they could once books became available or access to books became available. Like it was one of the things. You said you read poetry. You read the greats, you know what I mean? And it's been lost. It's been lost to rap fundamentally. I mean, really, like, rhyming
Starting point is 00:17:55 verse has like largely been lost to rap on the youth and on like the majority. So and even if you know whatever the situation, whatever the modern iteration is doesn't matter as much as the fact that there are oceans of great verse out there that will blow your mind. You know literally will blow your mind, will literally shine a spotlight on you like you can't even believe. Like you'll read poetry like rugby chapel and and you'll be like I thought I was suffering this alone. You know what I mean? And you'll find out that people have been and there's something about that right there's something about when you have a problem or a event in your life and you feel like it's just you going through this.
Starting point is 00:18:43 Even if it's love you know it this, even if it's love. It all started for me with love, with poetry anyway, but you feel like all of a sudden, oh, not only am I not the only one going through this, people have gone through this forever. So much so that guys like Dante, Gabriel, Rosetti have crawled out of the ashes of William Shakespeare's work and created amazing stuff about love and death and loss and all that. The other thing that I love about poetry is it's not a story that people write, most of it. It's not a story that people write based on characters that they create. You know, a lot of time it is
Starting point is 00:19:25 like literally like a little thread that comes out of their heart and soul, you know, and then they write with it the situations that they're living through, going through, experiencing. And maybe they'll use metaphor and things like that. But it's just more personal and it feels more personal, you know, and you've been robbed of it, by the way, by the way, a man, woman, child doesn't matter. You've been robbed of poetry in your life. Literally, you've been robbed of it. You've been robbed of it by like crappy books that they make you read in school. You've been robbed of it by crappy and pointless exercises that they make you do in school through literature and through English class.
Starting point is 00:20:04 You know what I mean? I've been robbed. Art class, same thing, robbed. Robbed of the greats, robbed of the opportunity to go out and see, because almost every major city and even not even major city has an art museum and people, because, and it's, you know, the other thing with art is modern art is so shit That it makes people think that all art is that you know like Let me throw together a piece of modern art for you real quick. Let's see we can come up with So modern art tends to be something along these lines
Starting point is 00:20:45 Let's see what we can come up with here. So they'll take like something like this and then, you know, like a random phone holder and a piece of plastic and then they'll set it on fire and then put the lighter, like, and then put the lighter like burn melt the lighter into the plastic and put that and this is what you'll show up to an
Starting point is 00:21:09 art gallery and see and they'll be like yeah that's that's modern art right there is that beautiful you can really feel what the artist was feeling in that you know what I mean it's terrible it's the worst part of any museum you go through the most recent stuff and you're like, what is this? It always felt to me like they didn't learn how to paint the way that the greats learned how to paint. So they were like, let's just melt some stuff together. Let's take some trash and hammer it together.
Starting point is 00:21:40 Horrible. So poems for men, out father's day. The World of Ready 2, out Mother's Day. You deserve it. That's all I'm going to tell you. You deserve it. Your man deserves it. Your son deserves it. Whatever it is. Maybe they'll hate it. I don't know. But they're all about, I think the categories that the book are broken up to are fatherhood, manhood, good and evil, and experiencing life, something along those lines. And we're also going to include some of the greats. A lot of the Victorian poets can be published at your own discretion. So we're going to put some of my favorites in there from some of the greats and I'm telling you right now, it's gonna be a good one.
Starting point is 00:22:26 Do you guys wanna see it? Or do you wanna see the rough draft of the... Hmm, too bad, you can't see it. Oh, because it's a PDF, that's why. I'll show you the rough draft of the book cover for Poems for Men, I think it's pretty good. Same thing, pre-order, all that kind of stuff, you know. Let's see if we can bring this up for you. Oh my god, it's enormous! Hold on. Can I shrink that? I don't think you guys will be able to see it. There we go. This is very, very, very, very, very very very very very
Starting point is 00:23:05 Rough by the way, there's no title on it or anything. This was literally last weekend me kind of putting together What I thought would be a a worthwhile Cover for the book, let's see what I can find for you There we go. Feast your eyes, folks. This is what I'm thinking. This is what I'm thinking. Maybe a little quote from above,
Starting point is 00:23:35 maybe a little James Walton at the bottom, but Poems for Men out on Father's Day will be, I don't know how many books have been published like Specifically with poems for men, but that's exactly what this will be. I got to go through them all again. There are It's it's not well, let me put it this way it's not poems for boys, okay I'm not sure that it shouldn't be read by young kids, but it's definitely not poems for boys a Lot of moving stuff in there Okay
Starting point is 00:24:09 So while we're releasing all this stuff as I mentioned there's a good chance. I'll be starving and That's due to the fact that we're gonna be also conducting our ration or ruin survival challenge starting May conducting our ration or ruin survival challenge starting May. Everybody can do it. Everybody can join us. I can tell you right now just having ration or ruin on the horizon has radically changed my vision. I mean, radically.
Starting point is 00:24:44 Let me close myself off so you can see the. Actually, no, we can put our... I can put myself down in the corner, can I? Can you hear me? Oh, I guess you can hear me. So, Rationer Ruin, folks, is... Thank you, Future Dan, I guess we have to say, right? Thank you, Future Dan. He has largely put to say, right? Thank you, Future Dan. He has largely put us in this position where we're going to suffer yet again. And this is a long-term one. This is a long-term one.
Starting point is 00:25:15 So, Ration A Ruin is a 30-day challenge that will test our ability to eat and provide ourselves with food and nourishment fundamentally for 30 days. The way it's going to work is three days out of every week in May, we get to eat a 2000 calorie diet of survival food exclusively. Okay, 2,000 calories survival food. We have a few different brands and such. So it's it's gonna be an interesting ride because the other four days we're on our own fundamentally. We're on our own. So in other words, whatever you can hunt fish pluck forage whatever Is what what you're gonna deal with now we've decided to break this up into two divisions for
Starting point is 00:26:17 Really for you guys and also for you know, the the fact that I think it makes sense for some people, right? Oh for the fact that I think it makes sense for some people. Right? Oh, Firewall Forge, I like that. My wife asked for money for groceries. It's not shopping day, she said. Or we can practice for next month, I guess. Not bad. We've decided to break the challenge down into two divisions.
Starting point is 00:26:47 You join one of two divisions. That will be the cash bound division, which is like kind of expert, I guess. You could look at it that way. If I had to take the two, well, I guess it's one of the, I don't know if it's a difficulty thing or if it's going to serve as an eye-opening moment for those in the cash-bound division if I had to guess. Cash-bound division is going to have to hunt, forage, trap, fish their way to sustenance through the duration of May on the four days that they're not eating their 2,000 calorie diet should they fail then they're gonna have 6,000 calories for the week
Starting point is 00:27:31 Which I don't even know if you can survive off that to be I mean you can but it ain't gonna be fun Cash bound division I if I were in cash bound division, which I'm not I I'd if I were in cash bound division, which I'm not I Would make sure all my fishing gear was tuned up just just really well tuned up and identify at least one to two locally stocked ponds that you know You're allowed to take catfish and bass out of and pan fish and so on because you can be eating some fish You know unless you're a hunter if you're a seasoned hunter and there's a season that's going on or you've got a lot of land and you can hunt for sure.
Starting point is 00:28:12 But chances are foraging will be a very meager amount of calories. Fishing and fish are going to become the bulk of what it is you eat on those days. They're in for it. Anybody in cash bound has to be tough. The Patriot Power Hour guys are tough. I've seen them go through hell. And I think they're going to go through serious hell. Being in the cash bound division through the month of May. And that's just what it is. So now, cash bound division. The sense behind this whole challenge was the idea that it's going to be an urban survival
Starting point is 00:28:52 sort of challenge. But the reality is the urban survival and urban homesteading world is drastically changing. Thank God. Thank God. So what's been really awesome to see is how many people have gardens front yard gardens backyard chickens and so forth in urban settings like I'm talking around here around me I see it. So because Dave Jones is so homestead it like he's like you know top tier homesteader and because I have my own chickens my own gardens my own
Starting point is 00:29:26 food resources I Said to the guys let's do two two divisions right and well Future Dan really came up with a division idea and We broke it down into two divisions cash bound division and it's cultivator division, right and cultivator division is Same setup three days out of the week 2,000 calorie survival food four days out of the week hunt fish forage trap, you know, whatever But also any food that you are producing throughout the month of May
Starting point is 00:30:05 Right anything you're producing throughout the month of May. Right? Anything you're producing throughout the month of May. So we're trying to stay away from preserved foods that are on the shelf already because that's kind of, you know, that don't really work. So anything you produce through the month of May. So when the eggs pop out, when you butcher the chickens, when you butcher the quails, when you, you know, pluck out the radishes, when you go pick the English peas. I really like the dichotomy here. The dichotomy here is really sweet because it's an eye-opening thing.
Starting point is 00:30:40 Because I can tell you, even being a member of the cultivator division Very concerned Very concerned and I'm going to talk about those concerns on the member side Because it has changed my literal vision though the way I look at the natural world has radically changed over the last 14 days because all of a sudden I'm not looking at the world outside as Should things go wrong I could do X Y & Z, you know, I'll get into it, but I don't I don't want to get into it in this show So that's ration of ruin
Starting point is 00:31:19 as I mentioned I would like all of you guys to participate and if you think it's too much and for many people It probably is too much. You know, I've been we've I'm surrounded by preppers We have done a lot of weird preppery things over the years and I understand if it sounds crazy It is crazy, but we're preparing for crazy times right crazy situations Try for a week if you think that doing it for a month is absolutely insane fine try it for one week for one week of your life go 2,000 calories a day for three days of survival food you should have
Starting point is 00:32:00 survival food right you've got some kind of brand of survival food. Even if you don't have survival food, you could use your own DIY packaged foods. And then for the next four days, just see what you got. Whether you're cash bound division or cultivator bound division or cultivator division rather. You'll learn so much in a week. Because here's the thing. If you go through a week of ration of ruin and you're really bad off, then you know things have to change, right? You know that things have to change. You know that you've got to get better at a handful of things. You'll learn so much.
Starting point is 00:32:37 It's so worth it. And even if you tap out before the week's over, you'll still learn so much. You'll give it a whirl, you know? There's no prizes or anything like that. It's really no winning or losing, but it's just a really great opportunity. Okay. A really great opportunity for everybody. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, rice and beans says Firewolf Forge.
Starting point is 00:32:59 Yeah, that's it. That's it. Go with that three times a day. You'll be sick of them, but you could do it. That's it. That's it. Go with that three times a day. You'll be sick of them, but you could do it. So all that said, one more thing before we head out.
Starting point is 00:33:13 One more announcement before we head out today. I know this is not the sort of news heavy whatever sort of show, so I don't know how you guys feel about it, but it's what you know what I wanted to get into today the final announcement is a We're gonna do a tariff trial membership So since the beginning of our membership, we've had the ability to run trials. I
Starting point is 00:33:38 Was never too interested in running trials I'm not a big fan of like trials. Do our seven-day trial or whatever. But there's a very real situation that's unfolding in the United States, and I think it's a matter of people who are being cautious and conservative with their money and then the very real effects of Joe Biden on the United States are taking their toll and people are struggling. I think a lot of that is real and I've talked to people who have assured me that it is real. Let me go let the dog in
Starting point is 00:34:26 The dogs really know how to screw a live show up. I'll tell you that much. They really They're well trained. I don't know who's doing the training, but they're well trained The Doc! The Doc Forgey, man. What a guy. Longest running sponsor here at the Prepper Broadcasting Network. Incredible. Just an incredible dude. Great story. Unbelievable book. So, tariff trial. I don't know how many people out there listening to the podcast have listened for a long time, have wanted to try out the membership and see what's what. I'll be announcing it in the next few days. I've got to parse out some things because there are layers of the membership that you won't get access to. Sort of like our membership discounts. You can't get all the cool discount
Starting point is 00:35:30 codes and then quit after you member your trial memberships up. Right. But we're going to give a trial out. You know because that is what it is. You know forget, you can join for $5 a month. So that's kind of a trial in and of itself. But I'm not really convinced that everything is coming up roses. I do think that in the long term, if we stay focused, things can come up roses for the United States of America. But I think there are a lot of hard times ahead, folks. I do.
Starting point is 00:36:03 I do believe it. I do believe that we're on a much better trajectory. But yeah. And you know, the other fundamental belief of mine is that what we do here at PBN is serious enhancement of quality of life. I'm just speaking from experience. You know what I mean? What we do here with the preparedness elements, the outdoors elements, the fitness and health elements, all that kind of stuff like entrepreneurship elements, a lot of the things that are really built in to the membership side and really emergency preparedness in general. I just think it's a life enhancement. I think it's the way we are meant to live. These things are supposed to be high priority and when we bury them with other things, I think we wind up in despair because we know in our heart of hearts that we need to be prepared.
Starting point is 00:37:01 We need to be in shape. We need to be taking care of these, we need to be striving to be our very best, we should be bringing some food in from the outdoors, we should have some backup funds, some backup food, some backup things, because the world is a crazy place. And yeah, that's what we focus on over there. And here. So I hope you enjoyed today's show, folks.
