Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello. Welcome to the podcast. Present your vaccine passport. Enter your social credit score. And be sure you have enough remaining carbon credits to enjoy today's show. Be me and family. Your garden is the resistance. Be me and family. Your garden is the resistance. People sometimes ask me, does my podcast network have a political leaning? Well, I don't know that it's necessarily a political leaning. See, that's the issue, right? I don't know that we have a political leaning here at the Prepper Broadcasting Network. We just lean towards freedom and liberty.
Starting point is 00:00:50 Think about that. Is talking about which human being would a social credit score benefit? Which human being's freedom and rights would benefit from a vaccine passport? Which human would benefit from being limited in their endeavors by something as silly as carbon credits? Who? Who and what, right? Who and what group of individuals? Who and what group of individuals Excuse me while I'm stuffing my face And I do a pot I never eat on the air
Starting point is 00:01:31 But I just hopped in It's cold There's snow on the ground here in Richmond, Virginia It's as beautiful as anything could ever be The coffee and the muffin from my favorite joint is just right on point this morning. You know, there's a story within my favorite bakery that's so funny. But I can't tell it because I don't want everybody to know where my favorite bakery is. Maybe one day.
Starting point is 00:02:06 But it's absolutely hilarious. But I can't get into it for OPSEC reasons. More than you could ever know. Right. So, yeah. Are we a politically leaning, we're not essentially political You know, we don't talk about politics a whole lot But we do have leanings towards liberty
Starting point is 00:02:34 And in this day and age When you have a suicidal segment of the population that is, you know, they have their wrists out for manacles. It's like put the wrists out for manacles. That's part of their political orientation. You tell me what to do. You tell me how to talk, which words I should say. You tell me where to go, where I can't go. You tell me how to talk, which words I should say. You tell me where to go, where I can't go. You tell me who to hate. Give me my list of approved hatreds. And, you know, I'll handle the rest.
Starting point is 00:03:16 I'll be your foot soldier against the evil Donald Trump. The greatest threat to the world since uh Genghis Khan PBN family I don't know I'm a little silly this morning I have a baby at the house right now which is interesting um not ours well not directly ours right in the family and I don't know I'm a little silly I'm a little silly this morning I don't know what it is you know i i think it was this i think it's the sort of the equal and opposite reaction to the playoff nfl playoffs like barely watching the eagles hardly rooting for the eagles because they're so bad it's unbelievable and And the seriousness in all of that, and then the seriousness in Iowa, even though everybody knew it was going to happen in Iowa.
Starting point is 00:04:14 You know, I don't know. It's not... See, the difference, I think, between the PBN hosts and many other preppers, the difference I think between the PBN hosts and many other preppers, particularly the most prepared is, uh, we're still in this game, this game of America and this game of American life. You know what I mean? We're all still very much wrapped up in it. Is that because we have children or is that because, I don't know what everybody's reasoning is for it, you know? I'm a big fan of society. I'm a huge fan of Western society.
Starting point is 00:04:50 I'm not only a fan of Western society and civilization. But I am a big fan of it. I believe... You know, if not for it... With Western society comes undeniable freedoms. Undeniable freedoms, and for some reason the Westerners also have a, I don't know, they have a propensity to fight and die for those freedoms. Not only that, Americans in particular have a propensity to die and fight for other people's freedoms. Not even in the West.
Starting point is 00:05:29 So, I wake up on a day like this. You know, we're about to enter a cold phase here in Richmond that is uncommon. I think it's going down to about 17. All of the things in place, You know, wood cut for fire Point zero energy generators powered Propane, kerosene, whatever Whatever we need, we got it You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:05:58 And we got it in mass So that should the power go out tonight By the time Saturday or Sunday of next week comes and the temperatures start to go up a little, we'll be fine. That's just the life of a prepper. A lot of people will say it's not, or they'll come from a rural background and say, no, I mean, you know, it's not just pre's not just prepping. It's not just preppers. That's how I grew up. And I get that. I get that there are people from the rural areas that grew up
Starting point is 00:06:31 with all this preparedness stuff in mind. I didn't grow up that way. People who grow up in cities and suburbs don't grow up that way. And I think that's the value of prepper. You know what I mean? But it's plain to see people are frustrated. You know what I mean? But it's plain to see. People are frustrated. You know, I had this in my head the other day. I'm going to write it down for later use. I've started writing down sort of these one-liners and these things that come up in my head.
Starting point is 00:06:57 And I've only recently started plugging them into things I'm actually writing. But I had this thought in my head. you know, I was thinking about women and men. I was thinking about men and women. I was thinking about Venus and Mars. And I was thinking about the struggles with depression and such right now. And what popped into my head was, the women are angry and frustrated and anxiety-ridden because they can neither be men or women in today's society. The men are frustrated and angry and anxiety-ridden because they're not allowed to be men and they don't want to be women in today's society. And I think that pretty much sums up the struggle for the average man and woman. Right?
Starting point is 00:07:52 The lies that were told to women have thrust them into some sort of a weird gray area that's no fun. Right? I am neither man nor woman. I'm playing somewhere in the middle. And it's very uncomfortable. And it's very hard to explain to people. And it's very hard to be happy. It takes...
Starting point is 00:08:16 And if you don't understand that, like, if you don't under... When I say be a woman, I mean the whole feminine aspect of it, right? The whole powerful feminine That the world requires In other words I feel like women are in a position
Starting point is 00:08:36 Where they can't be 100% one thing or the other And it's terrible for them It's gotta be horrible You know what I mean? And not all women. Some women are in a position where they are, you know, living a traditional life. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:08:52 I feel like no other group has been lied to more than women. The men were disciplined and subjugated as boys onward. The women were lied to. That's the difference. The women were lied to and told you can do everything your brother does. You can do everything your father did. And you can do everything your mother did that you liked. And that was kind of the feminist message, right? You could be a CEO and a great mom. And you can. but not everybody can. And what they also didn't mention is you might lose everything in the pursuit of such things.
Starting point is 00:09:32 Right. So, in other words, in the pursuit of trying to be great work and mom leadership role, influential and also, you know, powerful feminine energy at home, mom. You lose things. You might lose things. And I think the frustration for the average woman is just that. They're trapped in this gray area between man and woman where they have to fight with their masculine energy to survive at work. And then they are thrust into a life at home where there's a man there requesting their feminine energy and a family requesting that feminine energy and all that goes along
Starting point is 00:10:11 with that. And, you know, it's probably a little bit like schizophrenia. And the men, the men have had masculinity and manhood beaten out of them since they were little. Don't make a finger gun. Whatever you little. Don't make a finger gun. Whatever you do, don't make a finger gun. Don't be so loud. No, no, no, no fighting, no bullying, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:10:31 Don't clench your fist. Don't clench your teeth. No yelling. Still be quiet like Susie. If not, we're going to tell your parents. They're going to put you on a pill. And then you have the boys who, you know, the vast majority of boys have no desire to take on that feminine energy. Like, they don't want to be girls.
Starting point is 00:10:50 They don't want to take on the roles of the feminine, of the female. But they also don't know how to take on the roles of the male, you know, or they're not allowed to to some degree, right? Or they have been narcotized by the society that we created which is a society designed to narcotize the male and the masculine energy so they're stuck playing video games until they find some sort of inspiration to get them you know somewhere else yeah i don't know it's fun to diagnose the relationship between men and women and it's fun to diagnose the situation that men and women find themselves in. Ever since I've had kids, I've been fascinated by these things. You know what I mean? I've been fascinated by the dating world nowadays and those kinds of things, you know, the job markets and such.
Starting point is 00:11:48 world nowadays and those kinds of things you know the job markets and such i um you know i also really i think you got to know you got to know what environment you send your i have a buddy here in the in the community who was who had the same thing happily married having a kid and all of a sudden spurred into this world of like studying modern dating rituals and methods. Right? Zero interest in doing anything even remotely close to dating anyone. But sort of understanding the landscape of what everybody's up against. You know? So you're looking at two sexes that have been. That have largely lost control of what it is that they are. The population is riddled with anxiety because they've lost control of their life. Or at least they feel that they are. The population is riddled with anxiety
Starting point is 00:12:25 because they've lost control of their life, or at least they feel like they have. Nobody's really lost control of anything. It's just the game they play. It's what they tell you. They tell you you've lost control of your children, you've lost control of your children's education, you've lost control of your food, your water,
Starting point is 00:12:43 your, you know, everything. of your children's education. You've lost control of your food, your water, your, you know, everything. Fundamentally, the mass of American anxiety comes down to that idea that you've lost control of everything. You've given control over and lost control of everything in your life. So take this anxiety pill to deal with it. Take this Ambien to fall asleep at night. Chemicals, chemicals, chemicals,
Starting point is 00:13:05 chemicals. You've lost control of your relationship with your wife because she's domineering because she's an MBA or whatever. But the truth of the matter is, man, gaining that control back is very simple. It just starts with you. It starts with you. It starts with a routine. It starts with goals. And it starts with... It starts... I'll tell you what it really starts with. And this is Aristotle. Aristotle said that he...
Starting point is 00:13:36 I don't know the quote exactly, but... He prided the man more who was capable of controlling his own desires than the man who could conquer foreign armies because... No, he said it was braver. Braver is the man who can conquer his own desires. Rather than conquer armies. Because the greatest battle is within. Now I can tell you, PBN family, this is hard to do. This is hard to do. This is hard to do.
Starting point is 00:14:06 And I think Aristotle was on to something. But what I can tell you is, particularly for men, I don't know if it's the same for women. The moment that you focus on what's actually important, the moment that you begin to recognize, first you have to recognize and be honest about what your desires are that are distracting you from everything, right? The desires that make you assume you're out of control. That could be scrolling the internet. That could be playing too many video games. That could be, you know, all kinds of things. The moment you realize what those desires are, you begin to conquer them. Well, what most people don't tell you is that there's a level of discomfort that comes along with that.
Starting point is 00:14:54 And my journey into manhood and into fatherhood has taught me that you need to embrace discomfort. Like you have to. You have to almost develop a rewarding relationship with discomfort. Where it's like, ooh, I'm uncomfortable. That means things are working towards an end that is beneficial to me and my family. Do you know what I mean? You have to beware of comfort. We went sledding last night.
Starting point is 00:15:23 There wasn't much snow, but we went anyway. We said, to hell with it. We're going to go have some fun. And we got in from the cold. And I sat down. My son and I walked home from the little sled area. I sent my wife and older son home because they got too cold too fast. I sent my comfort and discomfort.
Starting point is 00:15:44 You know what I mean? I got home i i put warm pajamas on there was a raging fire in the fireplace i ate a bowl of this incredible chicken chili kind of thing that i made with black beans and uh you know diced tomatoes and jalapeno pep fresh jalapenos sliced on it fresh lime squeezed in it fresh cilantro on top and I'm eating that bowl of delicious with that fire and comfy clothes and there's pit bulls all over the place laying on big comfy blankets on our couch and I was just like I told my wife I said like this almost doesn't feel right. And she doesn't understand most of the time when I have these weird moments. And she's like, what do you mean?
Starting point is 00:16:32 Because she, my wife looks at things as earned, which is true. I mean, she's a hardworking woman. You know what I mean? It's completely understandable. She's an earned mentality. Like, of course, it makes sense that we have a house and we have a fire and we have good food and we've earned these things. That's sort of her mentality. And it's a good one.
Starting point is 00:16:53 I'm glad. You know what I mean? That she can build that into our own children. There's no guilt. You know what I mean? When it comes to the things that we've earned in her mind. A lot of people will tell us all the time, you guys are so lucky.
Starting point is 00:17:07 You know, like our relationship. You guys are so, you're just lucky. Anybody married is like, yeah, luck. It's all luck. And I just remember having that feeling like, God, this is too good. Like it's too good to be true. There's too much comfort here.
Starting point is 00:17:24 There's too much warmth and love and comfort in this. And I think that's a good feeling for a man. I think it's good for a man when he is marinating in comfort to sort of be like, I'm stumbling into something that's dangerous. And I'm going to enjoy it. I'm going to sit back and I'm going to enjoy it. I'm going to sit back and I'm going to enjoy this comfort, but I'm also going to understand that there might be some danger here. I might, if I stay here too long, it becomes like Pleasure Island, you know what I mean? Any one of those places where, you know, in old tales that men go and wind up getting stuck.
Starting point is 00:18:04 where in old tales that men go and wind up getting stuck. It's just like that. And you have to get back on to the discomfort. You have to do those uncomfortable things. Grab a hold of your life, PBN family. See, that's the value of a prepper. Not a survivalist. Not a, I don't know, whatever, a homesteader.
Starting point is 00:18:27 That's the value of being a prepper. Because a prepper looks, it's a river of many tributaries. Prepping is a river of many tributaries. And before you know it, as you start drifting down that river of preparedness and going into those various tributaries, you realize how much control over your life you have gained.
