about tariff money, about 28 billion in tariff money in July. Where is it going? That's the question. Okay, you pulled up, you did your tariff thing. You gathered all this billions of dollars. What makes me real nervous is Donald Trump is saying that maybe we'll pay out some dividends to the American people. Some dividends, you know.

Maybe we'll pay out a little dividend to the American people or some of the American people. Hopefully they mean taxpayers. I don't know. As I said last week, keep the dividends, cut the taxes. Keep the dividends, pause the taxes. million dollars per month, right, on average, then I think the IRS stole around five trillion dollars from Americans last year through taxes, five trillion dollars in 2024. That's what they stole. Remember, that's what they stole.

Remember that's the IRS, right? That's how much money the Americans paid. That's how much money Americans paid last year just to federal, right? That's bananas, man. That's crazy. So yeah, you know, the tough thing about these tariffs is something has to happen in terms of what the people get in return for it all. Good, give Donnie a pat on the back, that whole thing.

He pulled it off. But we also want something. We are going to shoulder the burden of these tariffs. Good morning, Jordan. We are going to shoulder the burden of these tariffs for sure and have been. And it's important that we wind up with a little something also. Some kind of old polypore here. I don't know what it is.

It's old. It's old. It's old. I don't want to mess it up because it's liable to, or maybe in the process of sporing right now. And I want it to come back and come back bigger and better than ever. So yeah, I got tariffs on the brain. I got taxes on the brain. That's a big, big core thing in my head right now. How much better could the American people be doing if, at least if we met in the middle, if we halved, if instead of us giving $5.1 trillion of our hard-earned cash to the United States government, we only had to give $ 2.5. You know? You can't tell me it wouldn't make for a better

situation across the board. It wouldn't be better for businesses. It would be better for the average American, right? And that's all, right? And we should be going into a tax season where we don't have the same kind of burden that we had last year, right? How can we have the same burden after DOJ? How can we need to gather all that tax money if we cut off all kinds of employees, all kinds of programs, USAID, we cut all kinds

of stuff. Like I said, we've gone through a lot of the round of applause phase, a lot of this sort of round of applause-y. Like, yay, we pulled it off. The thing about cutting, and cutting spending, and cutting government, the thing about making a bunch of money through tariffs is, eventually somebody is going gonna say, hey, where's all that money going now? Who's gonna get a taste of that, right? Born to brat in chat,

I hope the generals are watching it. The United States generals. I hope they're all watching. Taking notes through their satellite cameras. What the hell's going on? What they're up to? How good or bad they look. You never know anymore, you know? Growing up, I always thought like these foreign militaries were, you know, proficient, at least. Now I don't know anymore.

You know, I don't know. We'll have to see. We may see, we may find out just exactly what they're capable of in the very near future. Who knows? Yeah. I guess the gimbal is the next purchase, huh? This ain't going away.

This podcasting outside thing is not going away. I did an evening podcast with the one and only Jay Ferg last night and yeah, that looked great. That was a great little situation despite the mosquitoes. Yeah, it's just one of these things, you know. It's a good freaking thing to get out, do a little walk. But I'd like to carry it on through the winter as well. I found out about the joint drills through Epic Times.

I've really been driven to Epic Times because the Trump report, which used to be the Drudge report, is pretty much a dead news outlet at this point. It really, I mean, it's so biased, it's unbelievable. And I needed something to turn to, you know, in the mornings. I go to Future Danger and Future Danger is always great, you know, but they're, you know, they have sort of like the cream of the crop stories. And sometimes I'm looking to digest more than that. And that's what I go to Epic Times for now. I'm all in on the old epic. Got the, you know, we got the whole shebang, the newspaper, the, our first paper hasn't arrived, but we got the the whole shebang the newspaper the our first paper hasn't arrived but we got the newspaper we got the all the dynamics to the phone thing right yeah we're all glad that the firewolf is here of course i'm glad that all of you are here i'm grateful man

there's a lot of gratitude when it comes to the old PBN audience and the chat and all that. You guys, it's a whole different show. It's just a whole different sort of scenario, a whole different show. James, I got ideas for it. The newspaper. Oh, well, yeah.

I mean, that'll be be coming I can't wait It's so strange this world of ours this this moment in history How do you guys feel about the nuclear submarines? I never got on and talked about the new subs going out the nuclear subs going out to Well, were they going out or were they not going out? Were they just already there? I saw a lot of people remarking about that. I saw some of our people remarking about that. Subs have been there.

There's no movement going on. It's nothing new. It's just an announcement. I never really thought that war and peace were so much about bargaining, so much about the art of the deal, right? I never really thought about it that way. It finally stormed all morning. It's almost cool, cold out, 75 degrees. Yeah, it's beautiful here in Richmond. almost cool, cold out, 75 degrees.

The story is that the subs went out to tell Vladimir that we ain't playing, which is a weird play in my opinion. Gets beautiful, Firewolf. It really is. You know, soon, soon the hook, what is the quote from, soon, in a book I wrote years and years and years ago,

you can get the e-book. It's called Seasons in the Valley. You read Seasons in the Valley. Anybody who really watches me a lot should read Seasons in the Valley. You should, anybody who really watches me a lot should read Seasons in the Valley. I don't even know what it costs. It's a Kindle book only now. But it was pre-Intrepid Commander era.

It was pre-podcast era. This was a cookbook. This was a gushy, romantic cookbook about the Brandywine River Valley. But I took a quote, I took four quotes about each season because the book was broken up by season. And I used to remember them all. I used to remember each and every one of them, but I don't anymore.

I know Herbst, the Herbst quote for winter was, every step in winter is two. And that was just perfect, you know what I mean? That was the best one. Now the sky, now the autumn leaves something and something in the, the trees are aflame. It's a beautiful quote, I can't think of it. But that's a good book.

It's a good book. The recipes are a little a little Fancy, you know what? I mean, they're a little to do but they're all local. They're all from local Farms and they're all seasonally broken up What a life what a life it's been you know I'll tell you when you go from being a chef to a podcaster, it's pretty good. To an author, to a... It's pretty, pretty good. Own a coffee business on the side. There's worse professions to deal with, right?

Oh, this ain't gonna work. Bear with me for a minute. We've got the sun at our back. The wind is supposed to be at my back, not the sun. So yeah, I don't know about the submarine chess moves. You know, what's next after that, right? What comes next after you tell somebody we're moving subs close to you that have, I think they have the capability of wiping out like 160 cities or something like that it's an insane number don't quote me but look it

up because it was something insane like 160 cities can be taken out by these subs we're gonna do this view for now Because the Sun is at our back and it's blowing your guys eyeballs out. I apologize But what's the next step you know what I mean, don't you mess up lad or we're gonna start launching nuclear weapons at your nation Yeah, I don't think that'll end well Now I don't know what else is going on. No, what other kind of I'm really kind of upset that the two of them haven't sat down yet together. One of my biggest gripes and it's probably a good thing that it never happened anyway.

But one of my biggest gripes with Biden was that they never sat down. They never sat together talked. You know, the US president never met with the Russian dictator, oligarch, whatever Putin is, and said hey we got to get this war done you know or you need to stop doing what you're doing and so on. And it still hasn't happened and I thought it would happen by now. I really want to see them two together again. That's it. I don't know if he's saving it.

I don't know if Trump's saving it for something special. You know what I mean? It's sort of like a A, B, and C plan didn't work, so now we're moving into the in-person. Provide him to Mar-a-Lago, surround him with, yeah I don't know, pull a Zelensky job on him, bring him into the White House, you know, give him a few whacks upside the head in front of the in front of the world. I don't know that might that might turn nuclear also, figuratively and literally. So folks, you know, all this to say it's Monday.

All this to say it's Monday and there's a hell of a lot going on in this world that has nothing to do with war and taxes and tariffs. I'm out here in the actual world, spying mushrooms and wild edible foods and all that kind of stuff. We could get into the wild edible foods as we do these walks. I just personally have been sort of delighted, enraptured, entranced. Good, great, on we go. What movie is that from? Anybody know? Anyway, I've just been wrapped up in the chantrel hunt. The chantrel hunt has really changed the game for me.

And this little stand of woods here is like, well, it's just another one of those features in life. It's another one of those coffee businesses, podcasts, careers type of thing. I'm a laid-back guy and now more than ever I feel like I owe it to the world to be a laid-back guy because it's been a cool journey for me. You know what I mean? It's been a very journey for me, man. You know what I mean? It's been a very cool journey. I feel weird bitching about stuff, especially life stuff.

Well, that's not gonna work. What we have here? Anybody in chat know? What do we have here? I'll give you one hint. If you could find the tree that it fell from and you can make a pretty good axe handle. I'll give you another hint. If you could find the tree that it fell from that you could smoke up some bacon as well. Anybody? I'm going to do something I wouldn't recommend, but I only got one hand. Oh, I don't know if I can do that talk at the same time. There's serious tannins in the in the hull of the hickory nut. That's what you're dealing with here, a hickory nut.

And there was a nut in there. And I'm not going to show it to you because I'm not getting into that whole thing. But a lot like a walnut, it's below the pith. Gotta get the pith off. You know, I've had varying experiences with these guys, but if you've got hickory trees like this one right here, this is a little baby hickory at the back. Nope, not him. Him.

Him. How do I do this? So mirroring is so stupid. Right behind my head, that. That is a big old hickory. They've got a short man. They've got these big sort of like sphere shaped leaves. They're not usually eaten up like that though. And yeah, they give

off great wood, good hardwood for fires, smoking, wood handles, that kind of stuff. And then they put off these hickory nuts that are edible. Protein, you know, the whole thing. Everything that a nut has. Healthy oils, fats. One of the rare sources of fats in a situation where like nobody's milking canola, milking olives for you of their precious oil. We were talking about foraging yesterday on the podcast, the Changing Earth podcast. And it really is one of those things. You have to take it all the way through to fruition.

And it's so wild to me that the preppers have become, or at least on our network, have become some of the people who are doing the remarking on the beauty of life. You never saw that one coming. It's getting there. Can you see the tiny? I don't know how well this thing is like without the sun, how well it'll focus. But if you look at the bottom of it, it's got these tiny. They get almost sort of like seafoody in texture

and smell. This one's kind of covered in some bugs. It's probably a day or two old. Here's one that's been around a while. See the difference. But yeah, those things sliced up sauteed, good, good, good, good. You're looking under there for gills, you know, if something big like that's got gills under it, leave it alone. Well, I don't even think anything that big has gills. But yeah, I am no, I am no pro teacher.
