Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to PBN. It's always a good day when the communists bend to the will of capitalism. Welcome in PBN Family. How's it going? Hey, I need your help The world already to is out Get to Amazon comm get yourself a copy give it to your you can't get one like this But you can get one without this ugly gray band in front of it Give your Kids teacher a copy the preschool whatever the situation is everybody who
Starting point is 00:01:06 Who sees the book loves it. It's just it's a timely thing. You know what I mean? So spread the word the world already to out Yesterday keep the momentum going. I appreciate you guys Let's talk about some things something some comm, some comms things, some tariff things, some solar things and whatever the hell else things happen. We are live today on Instagram. Nope, not quite yet. Not quite yet.
Starting point is 00:01:39 We are live today now on Instagram. I forgot to hit the button. X and YouTube. I don't know I let I gave rumble the day off rumbles very weird they all this social media stuff is weird I think I don't know I don't want to say there's something nice about podcasting through podcast apps only I'll tell you that this this whole social network media management thing feels like I Don't know it feels like you have people working for you and sometimes they do a good job sometimes times. They don't what's up
Starting point is 00:02:18 WRX for off-road over at Instagram garden girl, thanks for joining us over at Instagram to Over at Instagram garden girl. Thanks for joining us over at Instagram to Hidalgo The Phoenix is over at Instagram as well see Instagram I don't know what they do with their notifications and stuff But they hit people right off the bat and then boom they start coming into chat like boom real quick So it's Monday Monday where we are talking about the fact that the CCP has tapped to tariffs. The people layoffs and business closures and pissed off Chinese in the streets.
Starting point is 00:02:55 As we kind of thought, right, have forced the hand of the communists to say, all right, all right, all right all right all right fine fine we'll stop at least in the short term we'll stop screwing the Americans over I think my best advice though on all that is pretend like the tariffs exist pretend like they exist we're gonna feel feel the effect still cuz there's all there's this blip in shipping right so like there's like blip in shipping, right? So like there's like ship, ship, ship, ship, tariffs hit, things get a little wonky, product inventories get low, and then they'll, you know, as long as everything goes well with the talks and the agreement is, you know, inked and all that kind of stuff,
Starting point is 00:03:40 then I imagine that inventory will go up. But I think something, you know, maybe not 100%, but it might be kind of cool to live in this 50% world of maybe the tariffs really are still 125% and everything from China does also suck and cost too much money. I don't know. It's something to consider. It reminds me a lot of the mentality for ration a ruin right now in my head, right? Garden Girl in chat lets me know something wonderful. This is this is I didn't know about this but this is wonderful. The DOJ is now investigating the epic city in Texas, which is this is really good news. I mean, make no mistake about it, like we talked about the Muslim enclave that is being built a thousand person is a thousand person or a
Starting point is 00:04:36 thousand square mile, whatever it is, this giant sort of Muslim community that was being built Muslim exclusive to if I go knock up and built, Muslim exclusive too, if I go knock up and say, hey, you mind if I move in? Like that ain't gonna happen. It being built in Texas and one of our listeners is real close by. So that means people are real close by like regular Americans. But aside from like, just aside from the sheer amount of people, why did not ask for you to follow me? Why can't I talk? I did not ask for you to follow me.
Starting point is 00:05:05 Why can't I talk? I got to turn this off on this camera. You're a little overzealous, Johnny Five. Take it easy. Aside from what could happen, building a small Palestine-esque sort of place in the United States, it's hard for me to imagine a place like that if they start putting things in place like Sharia law, which I don't have all the details in front of me, so I can't go too deep into what exactly it is. But when you start thinking
Starting point is 00:05:35 about like radicalized sort of, what's the word I'm looking for? Doctritorial is not the word. Devout. Devout to the practices of radical Islam even just from the religious sense and the sort of the treatment of women. You start thinking about like an entire community, an isolated community like that in the United States, and there are probably some already but a new one right thousand people Men women children All I can think about is like inside that Community the horrors that will happen, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:06:24 Not that you know, America is not free of the horrors in our own right, but do we need to build more horror shows? I'm glad to hear it, Garden Girl. Yeah, it doesn't. It seems like literally like nothing good. You know what I mean? Prove me wrong. Prove me wrong. How about that? I see rockets flying out of it, to be quite honest with you. It's way too close to cities in Dallas. I just see. I mean and also in Texas, really really cool convenient spot in Texas because if you can get your ass over the border you can run right into that town and then you're kind of you know you're amongst the the crew if that's what it is. I know it's all so mean to make these assumptions brutal, right? But it is what it is. So I'm glad to hear that they're investigating it
Starting point is 00:07:11 The jiu-jitsu welcome in Let's talk about this thing though because because the CCP has tapped the tariffs it's important its preparedness related though a Celebratory as it is. I do think there's benefits to saying to yourself, maybe I continue on my life pretending the Chinese goods are either unavailable or aren't as cost economical. I think in the long term, you'd be better off. Like I said, not everything, but consider it. Some things, most things, as many things as you can. What I've noticed through ration or ruin so far for those of you who have been paying attention to ration or ruin is
Starting point is 00:07:50 And if you haven't been paying attention to ration or ruin then go listen to the subsequent Podcasts whether you're listening to this through podcast through I think on on YouTube on X on Instagram. We have Updates on ration to ruin on all those platforms right and it fundamentally is just a survival food and food in general challenge you know what I mean like a restricted eating challenge fundamentally but one of the things that I've noticed is snacking stuff it's pretty easy to just pretend like that stuff doesn't exist.
Starting point is 00:08:27 It's pretty easy to pretend that things don't exist, especially when there's benefits, like when you feel the benefits of it. So in other words, we've had this sort of restricted model of eating with foraging and things that you grow and things that you hunt and things that you fish and nothing else and then Exclusively survival food, you know what I mean? certain days of the week and What's become apparent is like How you how quickly you forget that certain things are food options just because you know
Starting point is 00:09:02 It's off the table and you're saying to yourself. can't have it so what's the point of thinking about it you know what I mean and I think you could apply the same thing to this Chinese tariff deal if if you're in that boat you know I know there's a lot of people who carry like a certain level of guilt with them I know you're out there I feel it sometimes you carry a certain level of guilt with you because you're thinking to yourself, you know, could... I just have to see who's going absolutely out of their mind on the messages that it's been the breaker of the banksters and the rationed, ruined crew. Let's put them on blast. Some good, some good updates from the rationed, ruined crew. I'm supposed to be keeping track of my weight apparently. But I don't even have a scale in my house to be honest with you.
Starting point is 00:09:48 I don't even have a weight scale. I'm not buying a weight scale just for this because I don't think anybody will use it. So let's get into the details, shall we? US and China agreed to slash reciprocal tariffs in major step toward easing trade war Where's the good stuff US tariffs on Chinese imports will be cut 30% to one from 145 All right, so Chinese imports were cutting from 145 down to 30% and and China is
Starting point is 00:10:31 Has been did to the 10% like every nation right the 10% So they're down from 125 Everything that comes into our country was They had to pay a tariff of 145%. Now it's only 30%. Everything that we sent to their country, we were paying a tariff of 125%. Now it's cut down to 10%. Or this is the deal that they are working on. Or they've agreed to a 90-day pause on most tariffs. So Where we're at right now is a 90-day pause with these 30% and 10% tariffs in play. So fundamentally, we got what we wanted, you know what I mean? We got a higher tariff on China, at least for these 90 days, and I have a feeling it'll iron out just like this. I mean, how does China
Starting point is 00:11:20 say, let's go back to riots in the streets, I think. I think we need some more riots and some more layoffs and some more economic upheavals. So yeah, Phoenix Survival in chat over at Paracord Instinct Costa Rica. You got you a welcome in. You got a lot going on in your name, dude. You literally caught my ADHD brain with that name in chat but anyway Phoenix says she'd love to see our overall results. Yeah, maybe maybe what I'll do is a weekly Way at the gym. I can hop on the scale at the gym. I
Starting point is 00:12:00 Don't know if I'm gonna lose weight or not. I don't eat way more than these guys Because of the cultivator Privilege I call it cultivator privilege because I think that's funny, but I really do have a cultivator privilege for example today They have the mountain house, which isn't bad I mean mountain house is probably the second best option we have We've got some MREs to come and then we've got some Jones Homestead food to eat for the fourth week but today they're essentially eating Mountain House foods on the days that they're allowed to eat without foraging and
Starting point is 00:12:37 Since I they're in the cash bound division. I'm in the cultivator division. I have Incredible food to eat today. I have incredible food to eat today I have amazing I mean giant brown eggs that are so I haven't eaten eggs my own eggs in four days which is really long time for me I eat those things every day so I'm looking forward to that I'm also looking forward to breaking in the gooseberries already out there I don't know if you guys had those. They're a really cool little easy to grow perennial food, the gooseberry. The gooseberry is a thorny perennial bush that puts off a kind of like a blueberry sized green grape looking thing, right? It's a little fruit. It's a little perfectly spherical fruit
Starting point is 00:13:28 Kind of swedish sour It's good. They're good. You know, i've never made a gooseberry jam and I don't know if I ever will because Right now I don't have enough gooseberries not to chew through them all like I just like to eat them Um, maybe if we expand on that Which we could really good perimeter fruit producer like if you're looking to build perimeter thorny kind of pain in the ass perimeter They wouldn't be a bad option because they're a little thorny and
Starting point is 00:14:00 Food producer right now. I don't know how the deer would do with them. The deer might eat them down to nothing They definitely would eat the fruit. I could promise you that but anyhow 90-day pause on the tariffs us down to 10% and China down to 30% Announcement comes after the two countries met in Geneva, Switzerland, you know, I don't think this is the biggest news It's gonna happen today though
Starting point is 00:14:27 I really don't I think that there's another announcement coming out today on medication prices And I think that's going to be the big one I I foresee that being the biggest announcement of the day Coming from donald trump. It just seems like the one Okay, don't forget the world of ready folks, um The world of ready two is out. We now have a two book series. This is a big deal This is uh should be in the libraries of all preppers should be in the library Well, it really should be in the library. These books should be in the library of everyone's home, you know what I mean? In America. If you bitch and moan about climate change, there's no reason
Starting point is 00:15:09 why you shouldn't read your kids The World of Ready, right? If you bemoan the lack of preparedness in the United States and there's no reason why you shouldn't buy The World of Ready for your grandkids or your kids or your neighbor's kids, right right like this is the gateway This is the the gateway. That's what this was designed for. I mean fundamentally here's book one But this is what this was designed for This was designed for the gateway To preparedness for the youth, you know what I mean pop-up pop-up pop-up And they're awesome. They're fun're fun you know you get to meet
Starting point is 00:15:46 OODA the little creature OODA OODA stolen direct from the military's observe orient decide act complete theft because it's a great process that everybody should understand and they're fun man you know what I mean so get your hands on them buy both and Buy them now. Remember I said stay a season ahead buy them both for your kids for Christmas put them in the Put them in the pile for Christmas just in case who knows What else folks what else going on there can't wait to get the new book itself Oh Phoenix, thanks so much I appreciate it. You know, I'm gonna give you extra probably a prepper camp, right?
Starting point is 00:16:25 If you might say probably if you want extra, but I've still got copies of the original from Let for that was supposed to go to last year's prepper camp. So Yeah, it's a good thing man. It's a good day We have to create a true culture of preparedness starting at a very young age and filtering all the way up and that was the the recommendation of Coming from FEMA back when FEMA was worried about things other than whose political signs are in the affected front yard Story I'll never forget a Story that I will never forget folks
Starting point is 00:17:01 Let's do the comms thing real quick. You want to do that? Talk about today's sponsor a little give some love to a guy or a organization but fundamentally a guy who is really kind of doing a service to all people who are interested particularly those of you who are new in emergency communications, because it's electronics. Electronics is electronics is electronics. And in the world of electronics, you know that it can be a needle in a haystack out there, right?
Starting point is 00:17:39 I mean, everybody knows phones and everybody knows like Video game consoles and that kind of thing. But once you get into radios, that's when things get like All right. This is a cheap one. This is a not so cheap one This one seems to have a lot of features This one's lying to me and telling me I can work 30 miles away, right? You know how it goes. Well What coms depot does for you is they've gathered together all the the best Fundamentally, they've gathered together all of the best products in the comms world in the emergency comms world in particular So that you don't have to guess you go to Amazon you type in emergency radio best of luck
Starting point is 00:18:25 You know what? I mean, if you go to Amazon you type in ham radio best of luck What they have done here is they've gathered together brands that you know, these are brands that like I'm buddies with on social media and they're great guys and guys I've talked to literally like myself personally talked to they're real people they're Americans the Off-grid WX comms depot What we got here, where's our friends over at ZMB I know they're there and our friends over at mad Actually this for this segment, let's throw the mad hat on
Starting point is 00:19:06 Let's do them I love these guys actually I got their shirt on to on top of it it's so goofy I don't even know if I can buy their shirts anymore that was a funny look I hope that becomes the thumbnail I hope this is the thumbnail for the show anyway coms depot comm check them out If you've got aspirations, like I said, they got all kinds of great. They got the mesh-tastic that we're always gushing about here on PBN. They've got standard radios, antennas like crazy, 3D printed party. Got it all, man. Here they're sellers.
Starting point is 00:19:39 Ham gear, 3D, 3D printing ham, reed wireless barber technologies grid base, right all quality stuff because It's become clear to me that you know People recognize the fact that they want some emergency comms. They want an emergency comms solution but Where do I begin? Where do I end? What do I do? Which brand is retvis? Good is you know what I mean? Who does what I need them to do coms depot gazzards all together so you got one place to shop you don't have to guess fundamentally all right let's move
Starting point is 00:20:13 on I appreciate you guys over there at coms depot look at all these people in this chat over at Instagram what's going on guys say something tell me something. What do you know about what? All the names are so crazy when you're trying to read an Instagram name while doing a live show, it's like It's like trying to solve a puzzle for 50 million dollars You're like if I can just get these letters to make sense. They don't make it easy on you You know what I mean, you know, I Don't know how I got on this topic in my head. But I was thinking about solar power. I think it's because of the Spain situation.
Starting point is 00:20:56 You know, it's come to light, the blackout last week. It was the last week of the week before the Spain blackout was like, and, and I got the final breakdown from Peter Zion, who is, you know, super pro solar and green tech and all that kind of stuff. So I want you to know that because, and I want you to know that there's serious value in listening to people who say things you don't agree with all the time. So this guy, if you never heard of him, he wrote a good book. It's that white one right here. It's kind of out of place. But it's called The End of the World is Just the Beginning and I thought it was really good book. Sort of about a lot of things. A brief history of
Starting point is 00:21:40 the US's, you know, responsibility to the world, followed by kind of what is happening in the world with demographics and economies and nations and you know, all that kids, good, good read. But he hates Trump. There's no getting around it. He's a little lefty from my taste on a lot of things, but he's smart and he knows, he knows some stuff. So I listen to the guy a lot. And why all that's viable is because when you take an issue that can be immediately divisive, like what happened with the Spain and Portugal power outage, immediate divisive political, what really happened?
Starting point is 00:22:19 Was it the coal? Was it the solar? Was it the wind? What? I don't even know if they have wind. What, what was it? The sun? Was it, you know Was it the wind? I don't even know if they have wind. What was it? The Sun? was it you know, what was and
Starting point is 00:22:26 he fundamentally said that their connection to fossil fuel power generation is Wasn't strong enough to support the switch over that needed to happen when the power was disrupted In other words, they're running on the sunny wonderful, you know sun over there Solar power over there and and then they find out that they don't have enough to get it done You need a large amount of power to switch over back to the fossil fuel power generation that didn't happen. So the lights went out So whatever the disruption was, you know the atmospheric anomaly The UFOs the aliens struck down.
Starting point is 00:23:08 They couldn't switch over. So I started thinking about it and also the concerns overall about solar power and solar generation and the continued sort of yuck that goes along with solar power. You know what I mean? Like that continued sort of like, in other words, the thing about solar power that is funny to me is you can put solar panels out in your yard and get power from them from the sun for nothing. They're expensive, you know, but you even get a tax write-off for it. Yet so many people are kind of like, eh, right? Like, eh. And I started thinking about it. I'm like, why? What is the deal? And how would you get the
Starting point is 00:24:00 public to be much more supportive of something like solar power? Now for me personally, I'll tell you, I've been looking at solar power as an investment, like not as an investment, but I've been looking at what it means to invest in solar power for our own house. Does it make sense? Does it not make sense? One of the things that always bothers me about investing in solar which I think Would be a great business model. Hello. If you're out there is I don't trust the pace of technology
Starting point is 00:24:34 Enough to invest big money in in solar panels. So in other words, it's like If ten years ago when I first got into this stuff if I spent money on those solar But you know how much they would suck right now compared to the ones that are out now So now imagine I invest in today and put a bunch of solar panels out in ten more years They're gonna be like paper thin. They'll probably be built into the into the roofing tiles You know what? I mean, which is what somebody needs to figure out just build the solar into the roofing tile But it was more than that, you know what I mean what somebody needs to figure out. Just build the solar into the roofing tile. But it was more than that. You know what I mean? There's more than that to it and here's what the real thing is. The real reason right? Solar power isn't gaining
Starting point is 00:25:13 massive support amongst everybody because it's free. It's free. Free! I mean like you can go fill your car for free. You know I mean people if it was done right, if it was done well, if it was possible, people would love it. How much is your energy bill? How much has your energy bill changed in the last 10 years? I think this is the underlying thing that makes people sick when they hear solar power. Because the amount of solar power, let's see it by thousands of gigawatt hours, actually I'll share this with you. Let's see. What's up L2 Survive? We got a we got a really cool
Starting point is 00:26:00 announcement from L2 Survive or a cool sort of video wrap up of a great event. Yeah, just look at that. US and solar wind power. You guys got that right? Yeah. US solar and wind power. Thousands of gigawatt hours from 2015 to 2024. See the, see the rise.
Starting point is 00:26:24 This is what makes a lot of people sick, I think, about it. We keep hearing about this city, this state is running X amount percentage on solar now. Let's have a round of applause. And we've gone up from what? Way less a hundred gigawatts per hour of solar power in 2015 to almost 300 gigawatts of solar power gigawatt hours of solar powers in 2024 and what really bothers everyone is they look at that power bill and they go Oh something's amiss. Seems something isn't changing. In fact, it's only getting worse. So when the government tells you that everything is good,
Starting point is 00:27:17 Lord Fairfax Prep, how you been my man? Welcome in. Everything's going well. We're generating tons of solar energy. We're generating exponentially more solar energy than we have in a decade past. Power companies are making all kinds of advances in solar power and generating a lot of your good percentage of your power is coming from the sun. And you say, why is my power bill cost the same or more than it did 10 years ago? Because my house is filled with energy efficient appliances now in comparison to what it was 10 years ago.
Starting point is 00:28:00 So I've got energy efficient appliances. I've got a power company that's producing more free energy than ever before. And I get the power bill. What's going on here? Meanwhile, the overhead for places like Walmart and the overhead for a bunch of these larger square footage, you know, big box retailers are putting all kinds of solar
Starting point is 00:28:21 panels on their roof. So their power costs should go down, which means their overall cost should go down, right? The power company's cost to them should go down too. And then the prices go down. There's something missing. There's a wire cut, if we're going to stick with our electric sort of metaphor here. There's a wire cut and something doesn't seem to be adding up.
Starting point is 00:28:45 You follow me? Now, I think if you cut the power bills of the average American and said, well, this is because all the solar power, then I think the average person would be able to make the connection and go, solar is pretty sweet. I got a hundred more dollars in my pocket a month thanks to the Sun. But when nothing changes for the middle-class working man, you know and woman it's just like Cool. We love hearing about your great project where you save a bunch of money and none of it gets filtered down to the people paying the bill. Really cool. Save the planet more. I don't know just my thoughts Because it seems like an easy thing
Starting point is 00:29:30 It seems like a very easy. Well, we have L to survive in the chat folks in the YouTube chat and He's got a great video It's the Thrivalous fair from this year So there's like a bunch of cool events that happen every year for preppers and homesteaders and such. And in Addy, Washington, the video went up about four days ago. And it's a really great overview of what some of these outdoor shows look like, you know. So go to his YouTube channel, L2Survive. L, the number two, survive.
Starting point is 00:30:03 And check out the Thriveless Fair video. You may be seeing a little more of it here on PBN but check it out because these these are great options and opportunities for you guys. Seriously sir particularly the outdoor ones. I've done survival and prepping events indoors and outdoors. It really lends itself to the outdoor thing. Nice time of the year, nice for travel, right? And it's great. L2Survives has so far this year I've used 7,000 kilowatts at my house for the whole year. Dang. Dang. I remember L2Survives doing some upgrades. We'll leave it at that. But yeah, it's a good time, it's a
Starting point is 00:30:47 good time of year to check out the sort of running list of Prepper and Survivalist and Homesteading and Self-Reliance events around the country. They are kind of growing. You know, here at PBN it's all Prepper Camp all the time. That's the one. You know what I mean? I really think like I Think it helps to see Prepper camp and then explore out to the other events Because it helps to see like what's really possible at an event like that. That's on full horsepower 65 classes per day, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:31:23 65 classes per day a great know what I mean? 65 classes per day, a great vendor area, awesome products and services, and then of course the brother and sisterhood of camping out together. Multiple campsites, it's in a gigantic campsite. It's very common to see myself out in the canoe with the fishing rod between serving coffee and classes because there's a nice lake right there with some nice bass in it. And yeah, it's really kind of kids are like a, they're just easy there. There's places to swim, there's places to play, there's open fields, it's a great time. But I've never went to a Prepper or a survivalist event and not come away with
Starting point is 00:32:12 something amazing, you know, and I don't even mean a purchase. I'm talking about, you know, purchases are purchases. I don't weigh a purchase as... I don't often weigh purchases as something really incredible that I make it a show, you know what I mean? But I've almost always come away with information that is just change life-changing Literally life-changing. I mean the show I did in Dozwell, Virginia. I came away with Dave Jones the NBC guy How do you weigh that? How do you cost that? What's the cost? benefit analysis on that?
Starting point is 00:32:45 Right. So, um, check them out. Even if you're kind of fringy, even if you're kind of like looking at this prepping thing from afar, you know what I mean? You should definitely consider checking out the, the nearest prepper and survivalist show to you. Right. I need to go over the people I met in Ohio. Yeah definitely Phoenix. Phoenix what's the name of that show?
Starting point is 00:33:12 Tell us what the name of that one is. I can't keep up. Is that the old survival school, old school survivalist camp or what's it called? There's a ton man. I think what's happening right now for me in the background is a bunch of hosts and people who listen are going to these shows and I'd say probably within the next three to four years. I'll be doing more of these shows I was kind of Happily anchored. You know what I mean here at home with the kids and everything and it's nice But I think yeah
Starting point is 00:33:49 Now that we've run a bunch of them the heartland of self-reliance Conference happened in Ohio and Jay Fergie was there Phoenix survival doing her fibers thing so Kind of filtering out what's good and what's bad There's a lot of people out there seeing which ones to go to which ones are kind of a pain to get to or audience ain't there whatever the situation is and then we'll Will devise a little tour I think it would be kind of fun. You know what I mean? I think that's about it folks. I'm getting hungry you guys have been great phenomenal don't forget to support
Starting point is 00:34:27 our great sponsor coms depot comm today's show sponsor and Visit l2 survives YouTube channel subscribe. He is one of us a longtime listener member Great, dude knows this stuff. I think the whole YouTube channel is like Fundamentally worth checking out if for nothing else but the charging station he built for his rechargeable Really awesome another great video over there And a the world of ready amazon.com go pick up the book you can get the Kindle for like six bucks the the heart of the paperback for 9 10 something like that
Starting point is 00:35:09 We could do a hardcover, too I guess if sales start going really well, we'll do hardcovers for both Maybe when we get to a three book series, we'll do a do a hardcover The next book is going to be great. I already got it got it worked out in my head. So The next book is going to be great. I already got it got it worked out in my head.
