Beautiful day down the PBM family
I hope you are all doing well today
What I bestowed upon you today
Is the month of first routine
If you're in element, it's in the open chat room.
If you, uh...
Shoot, that might be it so far.
It'll go out via email.
It'll go out on social media.
Sign up for the email, PBNfamily.com if you want it.
It turned out great.
It's phenomenal.
It's an incredible month.
I want to thank Dave Jones for, you know, putting that idea in my head.
And over the years, really sort of instilling.
that in me.
It's a difference maker, man.
Not only is it a difference maker in your skills, but it also makes you feel really good.
You'll feel good.
You know what I mean?
You'll feel like a hundred million bucks.
You'll be like, wow, I did that.
I'm ready now.
At least I know how that thing works.
At least I know that I can do that in that kind of a situation.
The other thing you find out too sometimes is, oh, I can't do that.
I better not rely on that.
That was me with quails last year.
I put quails everywhere.
Fed them all kinds of stuff, put them everywhere.
Something was not right.
It might have been that batch of quails.
You know, it was my first one and that they weren't from babies,
so I don't know how old they were or what the situation was.
But one thing I learned, at least with that batch of quails,
was I don't want to depend on them.
You know what I mean?
I definitely don't want to depend on them.
We'll probably give them another go, though, because that was...
They were cool.
They were cool little birds.
They got fed to...
something we still don't know what ate all my chickens ate all my quails not my first time dealing
with that but today the uh the month of firsts we i give you 30 days okay you got 30 days worth
the third day in already so you can bounce around if you want but today is uh source filter and
boil water and you're going to run into a lot of these in the month of first that seem like
here's the danger.
Here's how you screw up the month of first.
I'm going to tell you your pitfall.
Here's your big pitfall.
You're going to see things on here and you're going to go,
I already know I can do that.
Source, filter, and boil water.
Maybe you haven't done it, but you look at it.
On the face of it, it's like, eh, I can do that.
You're going to see things like put your bugout bag on and rock two miles.
You're going to see things like put your peck up bag on and rock two miles.
Like, put your pistol on in the holster and jog for a mile.
Right?
You're going to see things that look on the face of them look like, that's real easy.
I don't need to do that because I know I can do that.
But there are all these little details when you actually do that.
You know, one of the most important things about a ruck with the bugout bag is not,
it's not being in a situation where you feel accomplished because you made it two miles.
You physically made it two miles.
A lot of times it's about how the bag is filled.
It's about how the bag feels after that first mile.
How it, one thing that, so when I carry a bag, I'm pretty laxadaisical.
Okay?
Like I carry a sling bag for fishing from time to time I put a gun in it and carry it.
And that thing hangs, man.
It's low. It's not tight on the body. Nothing. It's real laid back, you know. But over the years of bug out simulation, of long hiking and figuring out what I need from a backpack, I need that thing tight on my body. I want it to be barely an extension of my body. You know what I mean? Like, I wanted to be a part of me. I want it tight. I want the clips around the waist, clips around the chest. And I want that thing zes.
zipped like pulled up tight high or high on my back.
You know,
the worst thing for me is to have a bag that really sits the way that I normally carry a backpack,
which is pretty loose.
I can just move quicker, better, the whole thing, right?
All these little details, like I said, they come out.
They come out.
Even if you think I have a really easy hand pump water filter, right?
What's the big deal?
if you have never used it, then you don't know what the big deal is.
You better try it.
You know what I mean?
You might find out something detrimental about it.
I'll tell you one thing I found out.
And this was not a first.
But it was a first.
Is I was out in the woods in the wintertime.
It was like late winter, almost spring.
And I had my Caded and Hiker Pro with me, right?
And I was there
It wasn't like an adventure
I think I was taking pictures
For something I was writing
Probably five, six years ago
Maybe longer
And I pulled the hiker pro out
I was gonna get some pictures of filtering the James River
Right filtering water
Set it all up
Boom boom boom boom
Pulled I
Pulled the pump out
Pulled the pump out
Right
Now this thing has been sitting in my car
because it's in my get-home bag at the time.
Pool out, right?
I can't push it back in.
Something happened.
Something froze in such a way.
I don't know what it was,
and I still don't know to this day.
But something happened where I pulled the pump out,
and I couldn't get it back.
You couldn't go back.
So the water filter is done.
It's over.
Filtration is over.
Right?
And these are the things that you just don't know.
Now imagine, you like,
You know, you could see how that could go really bad.
So you're going to get a month of first.
You're going to get a month of great quotes from the Bible to read and ruminate on.
And you're going to get a month of workouts, you know, varying degrees of intensity.
Handle this thing the way you want, guys.
You know, handle this the way you want.
You can do it, you know, in order.
You can do it from day one on.
You can do it from the date that it is on.
You can do it however you want.
You can bounce around, you know?
I highly recommend you digging into this one.
I mean, I think everyone is vital.
And we've got it down now to a really, it's really not a big investment, man.
You know, that 18,000 train killers routine was a dog.
That thing was crazy.
But we've got it down now to where it's,
depending on the workout you know what i mean it can be 15 20 minutes of your life and done so
there's some navigation stuff in there it's just a lot of firsts you know just a lot of firsts
and uh there's one i forgot to put in that i should have put in dang it i might throw that one at
you as a bonus later in the month but suffice it to say pb and family we're back in action
tomorrow i mean we're not that we're ever really out of commission here i am in
action. We're back to the weekly grind tomorrow, medical Monday, tactical Tuesday, right? Women's
Wednesday. Women's Wednesday has just risen to one of the best days of the week. It was, I don't
know how I missed it, but I started it out as like Water Wednesday. And then I'm like, duh,
women's Wednesday. It's phenomenal. But it was an incredible week of shows last week, guys. Incredible
week of shows, you know, pick and choose and spread the words, share them around because like,
look, my main quam right now, you want to know the Intrepid Commander's main issue right now, is,
I don't want to get into the YouTube thing.
But suffice it to say that we really are going to struggle to ever exist on YouTube.
Now, YouTube is really, they're really pissed off at us.
So just to even throw a podcast up under a different.
they might be trouble. But we'll have to see. I'm not saying I'm going to stop. But what's really
got me lately, guys, is... And it's sort of the same old problem, but it just is what it is.
It's like, I'm holding on to this thing. I'm holding on to this tesseract. And it has all the
information that people need for a moment like this, for a time like this, for a life like this.
And it's not even just me. You know what I mean? It's all the great hosts. It's the
archival shows, it's week in, it's week out, hitting people with information that they need to hear.
And, you know, I just want to get there. I just want to get to, you know, 20, 30,000 people every day.
You know what I mean? That's what I want to get to. I want to get to even beyond that, really, to be quite honest.
I mean, I don't think it's that much of a stretch this day and age to really.
reach many, many more people and to find that they are interested in all the things that we talk
about, right? Not only the things that we talk about, but now the things that we do.
So the problem is, I think, is that we are, we're pretty quickly moving out of the world of
the yappers, you know what I mean? Like the yappers are the people that, the mimeograph readers,
You know what I mean?
They get a sheet.
They get the talking points.
This is the big story of the day.
This is the mid-story of the day.
This is the funny quip of the day.
And you go over all these things and, you know, make some jokes about the left.
And bingo, right?
We hit bingo.
For some reason, these guys seem to get incredible amounts of traffic.
But here's the thing.
Like, we're never going to be that.
We're never going to do that.
We're never going to be that.
There might be glimmers of that, but that's not.
never going to be PBN. I would vomit.
And nausea just thinking about it.
I'll tell you what we are going to do. I'll tell you what we are going to do.
Which is way cooler than all of that.
We're going to take a look at this secret service thing. I haven't really looked into it.
I've been counting on others to give me intel on it, right? And that's fine.
But we're going to look into it, man. We're going to look at it from a prepper's perspective.
I'm going to try to get, it'll be an evening show something.
time this week I'm going to try to get a handful of people on to discuss it.
Because it sounds crazy to me.
And not only does it say, it doesn't just sound crazy to me, it sounds deadly to me.
Because I think not since Abraham Lincoln, have we had a president that was more in danger,
in danger of losing his life, maybe Reagan, maybe Reagan, right?
But we have a guy here who's in really in big trouble, this guy.
Like, I feel like Donald Trump would be dead before his four years.
I really do.
With or without the Secret Service doing their job.
I just think there's a lot of opportunities.
You know what I mean?
And the people, you know, this is.
And I think that how the nation reacts to that will be the, really will be the future of the nation.
It will show us a lot about the future of our country.
Right.
I mean, just think about the morning after.
Think about Donald Trump does get shot.
poison blown up in mid-air, a drone hits air for it, whatever, right?
Whatever could possibly happen to the man.
And we find ourselves in a situation where we're waking up the next day.
Are we going to have a Charlie Kirk Fest from the left?
Are we going to have a Charlie Kirk situation where everybody's dancing around and hollering and saying,
well, he was a Nazi anyway, he deserved it?
Right?
And if that happens, then what happens?
happens to the nation. And that kind of is, really is sort of the scary situation. But from a
prepper's perspective, from a personal security, home defense, community security, skills,
elimination of threats, identification of threats. I mean, there's so much to mine off of this
big old fat failure, basically. Now, obviously, it didn't seem like a failure because nobody
got shot but it was not pretty from what I hear. It wasn't a pretty situation. It was not a group
of guys. Like, I'll tell you this much, I could pick three, four guys, maybe less, but I could pick
three, four guys from Preper Camp. In fact, if it were me and the Virginia contingent,
that guy would have been in pieces. You know what I mean? And I could,
probably find multiple places, multiple spots along the way where we would have found out
about that guy. But it was just us and if it was just the Azure Force, as we're called, right?
Myself, Dave Jones, the NBC guy and the Patriot Power Hour fellas, that dude's getting shot.
That's, I promise you, that dude's getting shot. There's no way. You're not making it through that
hail of gunfire. Especially not if, like, I got shot in the chest with a shotgun. You know what I mean?
Like somebody's dying.
So it's really, there's just a lot to pull apart.
You know what I mean?
Enough bravado.
But there's enough to pull apart there and do a whole show on.
And not just to say, and the show will not be, hey, the secret service really screwed up.
It will be the secret service really screwed up.
But what can we learn from it as prepers?
What can we take away from that and go like, wow.
Here, here, here, here are things that you can, you know, put into place.
right now that we'll assure that doesn't happen, right?
It just makes me very nervous because, you know, this is it.
This is the wall between death and the president.
And we know that there are plenty people, probably some in every single state of the union,
that if given the opportunity, would take a shot at the man.
So, you know, I don't know what it'll be an evening,
but I'm not sure what evening it will be.
But it'll be good.
And I hope you're there for it.
You know, Keith wouldn't be bad either.
I might give Keith a call.
He's had some years on the force,
and I'm sure he's done some kind of security detail, too.
You know what I mean?
So, all right, folks.
The week begins.
Before you know it, look for the month of firsts,
and, you know,
I hope all is well for you.
I hope you having a wonderful Sunday.
