Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to P.B.N. You're passed back to stability here. Welcome in PBN family what is up? How is everyone doing on this Thursday? Thursday here the weather is, well the creek is flooded, the weather has turned a bit. I'm here with you today, this cup of disaster coffee is fueling my treachery and I want to talk to you today about a piece of PBN history that has long died off and withered on the bone and you know the whole in the vine rather and could be making a serious comeback. Years ago it might be behind Jay Fer I'm not sure what's going on with Rumble lately.
Starting point is 00:01:19 Rumble's weird it's a weird platform I've been messing with it now for a while. So anyway, let me bring up the story from the Greyman brief. Get a lot of threat alerts and things like that from our friends at Greyman briefing. And you should check them out. You should check them out. It's very cheap service. The continuity, let's talk about that first. So the continuity way, way back when we first started our membership was a tongue-in-cheek secret society. Okay? We only met a few times. It was a tongue-in-cheek secret society. We would meet in my dark shed, do a live stream, talk about... Well, we had a few different procedures the three cookie ceremony It was fun
Starting point is 00:02:09 It was meant to be goofy and fun and poke fun and secret societies and all that kind of stuff We had we had you know, a few meetings we had fun with it and then it kind of morphed into some other things and and the continuity itself always had like a really good ring to it in my mind and you know the name always lent itself to kind of what prepping and preppers are all about right the continuity you know I'm saying what's up anarchy television how are you it had that sort
Starting point is 00:02:42 of ring to it right that sort of things will continue. It's the whole concept. And it kind of died off. You know, we created a flag and a symbol and that's the sort of the show. The show image is the continuity symbol that we shared amongst members and we had fun with we were going to get rings made the whole thing, right? It long died off Turned into a couple things like I said, but long died off and I had been wondering for a while What I've been wondering for a while is to live stream with you guys members most of you who watch and listen are members, but you know the the idea was, or the thing on my mind lately has been,
Starting point is 00:03:29 how to do a live stream that is members only, that is something that we all can work on. I talk preparedness, I talk news, I talk politics, I talk interests and all that kind of stuff, like five days a week here. Truly. And to do that again for the members, I don't know, seemed kind of goofy, right? Then out of nowhere, I get a story that makes me wonder,
Starting point is 00:03:58 do we bring the continuity back? For a while I've been talking, well, no, not for a while, but for the last week or so, I've been talking about the new Homestead Act, right? The tax breaks for raising chickens and producing food and being more self-sufficient, fundamentally, right? Tax breaks, maybe some other benefits. I'm one man, I haven't thought it all the way through, okay? All that said, thinking to myself, you know, how can this all play together? I wake up this morning. I don't- I haven't checked the Grey Man Brief a lot. I used to do a segment, you guys remember it, it was called
Starting point is 00:04:39 One Threat, One Solution. I need to create some new video for One Threat, One Solution. We may get to it. The vast majority of the audience right now is jubilant and feels like there are no threats anymore, I think. You know what I mean? Because of Donald Trump and his onslaught. One Threat, One Solution is still very relevant. The threats are still very relevant out there in the world. And just, you know, it's beautiful. It's wonderful what's happening in our country right now. relevant, the threats are still very relevant out there in the world and just
Starting point is 00:05:05 you know it's beautiful, it's wonderful what's happening in our country right now, it couldn't be better. Things that are happening in our country right now if you asked me six months ago could they ever happen? You know like just the Department of Government efficiency at large I'd say hell no there's no way there's no way they would let you do that. And I'd say probably the biggest takeaway for me for the they, for the lizards, for the people in power, for the congressmen and women, for the heads of these four letter organizations and so on. The biggest takeaway for me is how much power they don't have. Do you know what I
Starting point is 00:05:43 mean? That's the biggest takeaway for me. You always think, and it's early, people could be killed. You know what I mean? People could be sickened by plutonium sushi, but it's early. All that said, you know, it is kind of rather surprising how little power these people do have to stop what Trump is doing. And the other thing, you know, with the people behind them yelling, you know, yippee-ki-yay, keep it up. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:06:15 I want to read you something, see what it spurs in you, if it spurs the same thing. Government oversight preparedness. President Trump has indicated that the Federal Emergency Management Agency should be quote unquote terminated. FEMA terminated. I'm literally writing an article about FEMA right now. While saying that it operates as part of the deep state quote unquote against US interests, Trump is advocating for a shift of disaster response responsibilities to individual states. Debrief, this stance emerges amidst internal controversies. I love the way the British say controversy. Controversies.
Starting point is 00:06:57 I lost my place. Within FEMA, notably the dismissal of four employees, including the chief financial officer. The chief financial officer, what did he do? He unauthorized, four unauthorized payments totaling $59 million to New York City for housing illegal immigrants and migrants in luxury hotels. These actions were deemed a significant misuse of funds, leading to immediate terminations. Homeland Security Secretary Noem has expressed support
Starting point is 00:07:33 for dismantling FEMA in its current form, proposing disaster resources be managed locally. However, the proposal is faced opposition. And, you know, to some degree they're right the opposition about large-scale disasters and a state's state's ability to handle them the debate centers around misuse of taxpayer funds and you know you know you know why else he's pissed at FEMA's because they went down to Florida and said was it Florida yeah I think they went to Florida and said hey any of those people with Trump
Starting point is 00:08:01 signs in the front yard don't go help them Happened that that actually happened, right? Um The only way that works there's a way that that works I think stayed in local for some disasters You know what? I mean, I'm like watching a disaster take place right now My the creek of behind my house is literally growing as I do the podcast. But anyway, there's a way that that works, but it has to start at the public level. It has to start at the individual level. In other words, people have to be incentivized to prepare. They have to be incentivized to prepare. It has to be easyized to prepare. It has to be easy and a base level of preparedness has to be established, not recommended, but established. It's recommended that you have a week's
Starting point is 00:08:53 worth of supplies. You know what I mean? So why the continuity popped back in my head? Coffee pause. Is for the concept of working together, you, me, you, me, to discuss what that would look like. Like what would it really look like to lay out a program, a policy, whatever it is, to hand to the average citizen, to get them up to speed, to be able to stand on their own two feet following some disasters, or at least to be able to effectively evacuate, maybe recover their home, and so on and so forth.
Starting point is 00:09:40 It would be different state to state. But I think with this being an initiative and FEMA being you know front and center and the idea that we're going to move all of this emergency management back to the states even though a ton of it's there already, what does that look like? What does that look like for people like grindstone ministries too by the way? Like organizations like that that literally gather up volunteers, head off to a disaster site, get the job done, and so on. To me, I mean, it's great that they get their 501c3
Starting point is 00:10:15 and they can write a bunch of stuff off. To me, it seems like those people should get a paycheck. You know what I mean? Why not? If they show up and do the work, there's a lot of companies that do that. There's a lot of people that do that on the 501c3 side. Maybe the tax breaks could be even better.
Starting point is 00:10:33 I don't know. What would be really fun? Members listening. What would be really fun is to meet on a designated night as the continuity. If we want to keep our crazy alter egos, we could do that too. We could drape ourselves in the continuity flag and hoods and candles and infant blood and the whole nine...adrenalized plasma and the whole nine yards. But I think it would
Starting point is 00:11:03 be fun to kind of start to build the framework of that. Maybe it goes somewhere, maybe it doesn't, maybe we use it to help. Because civil defense falls into that too, right? There's this whole sort of missing thing that the invincible American belief system doesn't allow us to get into right this disorder like American invincibility keeps us from wanting to really delve into this civil defense that we used to have and Keeps us all from really delving into preparedness at large, right? we find ourselves in this situation where we are like a big pop is gonna come and make everything better or nothing bad's ever is going to come and make everything better or nothing bad is ever
Starting point is 00:11:45 going to happen to me. And that puts us in the situation we're in. Of course, you hear a story about $59 million going to luxury hotels for illegals. And you can't help but think about the darkness that is the mountains of North Carolina, the propane lines, the freezing, the winters without walls that people are going through right now, that people have gone through. The absolute abandonment. I don't know what the abandonment must have felt like. That's probably one of the hardest things for those people, right?
Starting point is 00:12:25 the people of that area to Now a lot of them are already sort of anti maybe not anti government but but pro self You know what? I mean, like I've been doing this on my own a long time never needed the government, but there's still an Abandonment Feeling that has to be going through them an abandonment feeling that has to be going through them. Dealing with what they're dealing with and then turning on the news and seeing how much money is going to places like Israel, Ukraine, illegal immigrant hotels and housing. Yeah. So anyhow, the continuity. Think about that. Think about that for me on the
Starting point is 00:13:02 membership side. Is there a day or time? Is there a benefit to gathering together and talking about preparedness at the public level that can be maybe, I don't know, categorized or you know, built out in a way that it's, it's the same all across the board. I can't think of the word I want to use, uh, the same all across the board. You know what I mean for everybody so that there's a framework there that can be put into place we can get.
Starting point is 00:13:35 Instead of just having one day a year for tax cuts on preparedness is, you know, you just cut the sales tax off of all things preparedness related, uh, and maybe until par levels are established. I don't know All the self-reliance and independence to the urban homesteading and all that kind of stuff that can be done the same thing sort of That's new homestead act idea concept. I Think it's got legs folks I thought it had legs before I saw this story and now that I see. And look, the theme for me in all of this, to be honest with you, this whole sort of tidal wave of Donald Trump is power. And it's not power for Donald Trump. It's not
Starting point is 00:14:17 power for the conservative right. It's not power for... It's your power. It's all of the sudden the weight of the cloaking government is being somewhat lifted off of our shoulders, right? We don't feel like we're suffocating due to a nightmarish regime in office. We don't feel like we're suffocating due to the fact that we pay money into a system we know nothing about and it's going to you know millions of dollars are going to people who stare at something and say it works while you're you know killing yourself to make a living. Some of that anxiety and all that's starting to be lifted off of us and you know the reoccurring theme in my head watching all this stuff happen, watching the forces
Starting point is 00:15:08 of good get into the government and go, this is such a mess. Watching the forces of good reestablish just common sense, just very basic common sense stuff. We should have a border. There should be a girl and a boy. You know what I mean? Really, like basics It all
Starting point is 00:15:28 When I think about myself, which is how I think about you guys, right? I think about what I feel I think about what I should be doing. What's the best use of this moment It's to power up it's it's to exact your power It's to build on your preparedness and self-sufficiency strength because I think on the other side of all of this For this to really be a true victory for America All of this right all of this on the other side Has to be a much stronger and more self-reliant population. Stronger in all kinds of ways, mentally, health, right?
Starting point is 00:16:11 Self-sufficient, self-reliance, and independence. Probably like education. And I don't just mean like education of the kids, but you understand what the hell is going on in your world. Economic smarts, business smarts, all that kind of stuff, now is the time to sharpen the sword. It really is. It's the time to sharpen the sword, to hone the edge, so that as this continues, should Trump die, should his reign come to an end, either in four years or after? Should even should Vance take over or some other Republican take over with the same sort of mindset? What is the American population like on the other side of that?
Starting point is 00:17:06 What does the American population look like on the other side of that born to brap in chat? Over at YouTube behind enemy lines Says I feel like energy costs are going to stabilize and not continue to double triple makes me feel like there's hope. Yeah Yeah, I like that How do you how do how do you become more powerful in how you handle energy costs? In other words, Donald Trump's going to do his part. I guess we'll see, right? He sure looks like he wants to drill baby drill, right?
Starting point is 00:17:39 Energy costs go down at the personal level though. energy costs go down. At the personal level though, can you buy gas and store gas and rotate gas in larger quantities to take advantage of low prices and to make sure that you're prepared for a disaster when both the gas pumps are shut down, the ATMs are shut, whatever it is, short term disaster. Can you better insulate your home? Can you put new windows in? Can you do the things that will reduce energy costs across the board so that on the other side of all of this doge, on the other side of all of this new stuff, you're better off with or without president. I mean, that really is, that really is sort of the home run in my opinion and I think this is a good idea, right?
Starting point is 00:18:32 I mean I really do think this I Haven't really heard people talk about it because it's most people are overwhelmed by everything that's going on I think you know and it's a beauty. it's like I said don't be like me it's a beautiful time to be overwhelmed it's things are happening you never thought would happen and who wouldn't love it who doesn't love it enjoy it I'm just telling you what's going on in my crazy head and what's going on in my crazy head is I don't, it's like we're fighting this giant monster, you know? And he's got mechanical jaws and servo-powered hydraulic fists in the whole nine yards and he's just this monolith, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:19:21 And what happened is the Emperor's champion flew in and hit this monster with such force. And the monster is the, the overreaching, overpowered, overfunded, bloated government, right? And the emperor's champion ran in and put a devastating wound onto this monster. And now the rest of us are watching, you know, and we're kind of like fists raised in the air. What happens next? That's where my head is.
Starting point is 00:19:53 What happens next? What happens next is the infantry have to get as powerful as possible. They have to get as powerful as possible, as self-sufficient as possible, as tethered into our ability to convey our disgust and distaste for what happened in the past in our government, and to be sure that it never happens again, no matter who's in power. That's where we have to be right now. You know what I mean? Here's an example. The phoenix, as per usual, always giving us great preparedness examples of what the average person with indomitable will can pull off, right? So, minimizing power use. Again, this is the whole thing, right? She also says having alternative means for our needs there's a variety of things I'm just using power because born to brat
Starting point is 00:20:49 brought it up and I think it's a good way to look at right affecting sort of boosting the people boosting the efforts of those in power now who want to do the right thing by Americans right taking this sort of rocket-propelled grenade and making it even more effective. It just makes sense to me. It just makes sense to me. We've been on this path for a long time. We, the hosts of the Prepper Broadcasting Network, many of the listeners out there have been on this path for a long time. We've been pushing to really, you know, become more self-sufficient and independent, more strong as people, better as people all around. That's the revolution. You know, the revolution is against you. It's against the
Starting point is 00:21:39 you of yesterday. Right? That's what I see anyway. That's what I see from that so the continuity shall it return or shall we leave it in its grave? I'd love to hear the more remarks from our membership here at the prepper broadcasting network Yeah, very interested very interested to hear what you have to say if you'd be interested in discussing a preparedness framework for the people as say, if you'd be interested in discussing a preparedness framework for the people as a collective, hashing out ideas, and if we come up with something worth presenting, then we present it. And we say, this is what FEMA has done. This is what our plan could do.
Starting point is 00:22:15 We're preppers. We talk and think, who better to figure this stuff out? I have all kinds of people that can join us on the livestream, too, all kinds of people who work in emergency management People who have worked in emergency management people who never worked in emergency management or just living on their own off-grid We could do really good stuff Really fun stuff with the continuity if we want to do that Jay Ferg gives us our vote
Starting point is 00:22:44 Yeah, well, we'll just have to see. I'll put a member's email out as well. We're going to do a Inside the Cash today for something that I found out. It's kind of an embarrassing one, to be honest with you. But I do want to tell you that over at YouTube, who's over at YouTube? Born to Braap, Anarchy Television, several of you who watch us over at YouTube. We could, I took a risk yesterday. Probably within the next week, I'm
Starting point is 00:23:15 going to hit a switch over at YouTube that could nuke us entirely. So stay with me on that, and we'll see how it goes There's a reason I always say we are broadcasting behind enemy lines at YouTube You know, it is not a fun place for us to exist of all the things I see on YouTube It's not a it's not a place of free speech yet It's just not that you know, you got to play by their vocabulary games and all that kind of stuff Yesterday I attached the prepper broadcasting network RSS feed of our podcast to our YouTube channel
Starting point is 00:24:00 What that means is all of you who watch us on YouTube will be able to get all of our podcasts on YouTube maybe Or what's gonna happen so sometime next like I said, I'm gonna hit the switch. One of two things will happen, right? Number one, we hit the switch, boom, all the podcasts go up on YouTube, everything that we do going forward, auto posts to YouTube so you can stay up to date, not just with our live streams, not just with me, not just with Jay Ferg, not just with the Patriot Power Hour guys who will be live tonight by the way, the Patriot Power Hour, don't miss it. But also all the other hosts will be on YouTube then, you know, so. And that'll happen and people will be able to
Starting point is 00:24:41 say what they want to say and YouTube will shut the hell up and let us do what we do. And and who knows what will come of it. We'll get more followers. We'll get more members, which is always a great thing. And the message of preparedness will spread further. The other thing that could happen is I hit the switch and like turning on a black hole, everything gets sucked sucked in to you know, we're hit with 6-7 Strikes from YouTube they they suck all of our content in that they have over there and it all disappears
Starting point is 00:25:15 the channel gets muted and destroyed and C'est la vie so that can happen too Maybe we'll flip the switch live on air and see what happens sometimes next week. It's got to be next week because we have so many. I only did 2024. I could have put everything from our RSS feed up on the podcast side, but I only did 2024. Because we got like hundreds of shows.
Starting point is 00:25:42 Hundreds of shows. They have to be uploaded and It takes time it would took like two months to probably put everything up So it'll probably take a week and by the end of next week. We'll flick the switch see what happens. Okay? Your guess is good as mine PB and family. I don't know. We'll see They don't like what we do. I can promise you that. You know. Now, let's talk about the most embarrassing episode or segment of What's Inside the Cat. So this is going to be interesting. This is going to be a little interesting. So this is gonna be interesting. This is gonna be a little interesting.
Starting point is 00:26:33 Lima Tango Survival, LimaTangoSurvival.com, one of our incredible sponsors. First of all, go to their website, check them out. They've got these amazing little fire kits for 25 bucks. They've got amazing little EDC kits for 75 bucks. You've seen pieces of that kit on this show. kits for 75 bucks. You've seen pieces of that kit on this show. Sent me a kit, the solo 24 hour one-man bag. I'll show you it. This guy, if you are a member, then you've seen the ins and outs of that thing. Or if you haven't seen the ins and outs of that thing and you are a member, you can't. Just go to familygear at pbnfamily.com. You can see the full review of everything inside. It's a great bag. Remember, it's better than the bag you don't have. If you're one of these people who has big plans about building out the ultimate bug out bag, get home bag, EDC, whatever, just buy a bag. Go to Lima Tango.
Starting point is 00:27:26 We've given our input on these bags. They've asked. You know what I mean? So these are thoughtful and well-put-together products. I get that bag. I pull this thing out. I look at the list. See, every bag and every kit that they have
Starting point is 00:27:39 comes with a checklist, by the way, which is really cool. Exactly what's inside of it. It's probably as much for them as it is for you But it gives you a real quick reference and I saw a handkerchief Bandana, whatever it said and I took this out and I put it down and I said cool Bandana handkerchief. It's a good piece of gear a lot of things you could do with it Not until a week ago Did I open this thing?
Starting point is 00:28:04 I open up this thing to find out that it's like, it's a survival cheat sheet right on the handkerchief. And it actually gave way to an Instagram live that I was talking about, survival reference. It kind of gave way to it. So I'm going to show you the thing. And I hope you can see it. So I'm gonna show you the thing. And I hope you can see it. I can't really see if you can see it all or not. But there's a ton of stuff on here, man. And a lot of it is stuff that I think is so important because in a bad situation you're probably not gonna remember it all. Up here they've got a whole section on when you're lost. Why
Starting point is 00:28:47 is the camera searching for me now? I did not ask for that buddy. Maybe it's looking for me anyway. So anyhow, entire sections on basic survival necessities. There's a section on the hydration tools that are available within your kit. The rule of three is on here. As you can see there's several knots, a bowling, clove hitch, two half hitches. What's the final one? Oh, the square knot. They've got the
Starting point is 00:29:22 the rule of three on here. Where's the one where you're lost? Yeah, this is a really good one So you're lost, right? And they've got this great section here about being lost don't panic retrace steps. Can you even hear me so far away from them like fun Don't panic retrace steps if unable to stay put and stay dry find shelter be visible use reflective items use whistle three short blasts I don't know man oh here's a good one airway airway breathing airway breathing CPR I'm sorry airway breathing CPR deadly bleeding ABCD of first aid probably one of the best and then what the average person would really benefit from is the section on this thing about hypothermia prevention.
Starting point is 00:30:09 This is all on a bandana. Remove wet clothing, thermal poncho or bibi, fire shelter, body to body contact, hand warmers, dry clothing. Oh, and then it has a collection of uses for the bandana itself. It has a whole section on bandana use See So you got this piece of gear? You don't know what to do with it other than read it, right? It's like a book. I'm lost in the woods. Let me sit here and read my bandana survival guide
Starting point is 00:30:38 breathing mask, right signal flag Pretty good for a signal flag actually right this thing actually would do you know how handy this would come when you set up your hunting Blind during firearm season and you're like, oh, I forgot to put something on my blind anyway towel water filter Bandage trail marker wet bandana cooler. Yeah, you get lost man You could tear this thing up into tiny strips tie them to trees tie them the branches to know you're not working in circles I
Starting point is 00:31:11 Don't know so the funny thing about it is it's been around it's been sitting here in my possession for at least a month and I looked at it and I saw the logo little awesome Lima tangango logo, and I said, you know, this thing is, I guess what this thing is, is a handkerchief. You know what I mean? So I'm going to run the Lima Tango commercial while I finish up, okay? Yes, because I love the logo, man. The logo is so sweet. It looks like a boss in a, like a boss battle or a faction of some kind of video game or something like that But yeah, I just thought this thing was a straight-up bandana had no clue and
Starting point is 00:31:52 It comes in. I think it comes in. I don't know what kits it comes in Altogether, but I know I have one and I know that I have I might have another one. I don't know. We'll see Anyhow anyhow you buy the solo one-man kit you get the cool bandana on top of it that that I wanted to show you for all that was available to you on it and yeah that's what's inside the cache today okay that's what's inside the cache today all kinds of surprises from Lima Tango survival check them out. Seriously Pre-made bags pre-made. I mean you could buy kits for your entire family
Starting point is 00:32:33 you know you could buy kits for your entire family from Lima Tango and And sleep better knowing you're prepared What else? Oh, I've got a I've got a real good freebie for you today. Oh my god. Do I got a freebie for you? we're gonna talk freebie and then we're going to talk commander's challenge and that's it for the day. Okay. Our buddy L2 survive, who is a YouTube, a YouTuber on the live stream. He's a long time listener, but L2 survive is a YouTube channel over there at the two behind enemy lines, if you will.
Starting point is 00:33:06 In the, in the show description down down below you're going to see herb and tinkerture class right herb and tincture class rosemary gladstar is uh somebody I should know more about but I don't she knows her stuff okay there's a link to a two hour class, a two hour Rosemary Gladstor class from the Thribolus Fair. I don't know what year it's from, but it's two hours on herbs, herbal medicine, tinctures. 100% free over at the L2 Survive YouTube channel. The link is in the description below.
Starting point is 00:33:39 You're welcome. You're welcome. You're welcome. Um, while you're there, do me a favor. Subscribe to him. You know, while you're welcome. While you're there, do me a favor. Subscribe to him. You know, while you're there, subscribe to his channel. Help him out.
Starting point is 00:33:51 But that's a free class on herbs and tinctures. Okay. Enjoy it. Enjoy it. If you haven't got into herbal medicine, herbal remedies, that kind of stuff, you know, I really, I really think it's one of those things that you're never going to get it till you follow it through. You can watch all the videos, you can buy all the books, until you follow it all the way to fruition, like you're not going to get
Starting point is 00:34:17 it. What really changed the game for me was going outside, scraping the bark off a cherry tree some years ago while black cherry and making an infusion with the bark when I had a cough adding some honey and Using the medicine that that really kind of set everything in motion because then you have the confidence then all of a sudden You have this idea like oh I can make that kind of stuff. It's easy you know, but most people have never really, I don't know, they never really have done that kind of stuff. Jay Ferg says, speaking of books, guess which one I just ordered yours from Amazon. Oh, which one? Did you order the big herbal compendium that's not in color?
Starting point is 00:35:05 I really do apologize if you did. I wrote a book with a guy and it's a great reference for wild foraging, but the guy wouldn't print the book in. It was not like a book deal. It was just like I was writing it for him and he was like, hey, do you want your name on it? Like I was ghost writing. And I said, yeah, sure. We'll put a lot of work into it and all that kind of stuff.
Starting point is 00:35:27 I got paid for it. Um, but you know, I couldn't, I can't get ahold of him anymore. He's going, he's ghosted me and he won't put a book out with color pictures. So I'd, I'd push it a lot more if it had color pictures. I'm not a big fan of foraging books without color pictures. I think it's dangerous. Truly. Which one did you order, Jay Ferg? Fill us in. So, uh, oh, you ordered Darker Trails.
Starting point is 00:35:56 Yeah, I bet. Oh, you ordered, oh, you ordered the real book. Okay. You ordered the super power book. Yeah, that's the one. That's the one right there. No grid survival projects change your whole life. Well, thank you for the support.
Starting point is 00:36:18 I really do appreciate that. Let's talk commander's challenge and get out of here, okay? I got a busy day, got all kinds of stuff to do. Let me bring up the Commander's Challenge. We are 13 days into February. I personally and several of the people here at PBN believe in routines and such. Can I get my face out of here? Because it's just gonna mess with it. I want it bigger. No, it's as big as I can get it. Okay, so the
Starting point is 00:36:56 Commander's Challenge is something I do every February super easy. Okay, I literally designed it for me because February sucks the most. I'm not a big fan of winter. We got our snow, we had our Christmas, and now I'm ready for the pond. I'm ready to be casting to the largemouth bass who will be warming up and absolutely voracious. But I got to get through February and maybe even summer March and it's a nightmare for me every year And my birthday is in February my father's birthdays in February the Phoenix's birthdays in February You think it would be a month to celebrate but you know, I'm 40 years old almost. It's like birthdays are what they are
Starting point is 00:37:43 So I created this challenge to stay dialed in mentally, fundamentally, right? Really that's what it's all about. It's fundamentally to stay dialed in mentally, not to fall too deep into the winter depression, lack of sunlight, the whole thing, right? The post-mortem holiday situation. And it works. I can tell you that much. It works. It really works. I should add something to it and what I might add to it next year. I didn't realize it until last year, but what else really helps is to do one grand suckfest. You know what I mean? Like a grand
Starting point is 00:38:28 run a marathon, do a wilderness cold weather camp for like the weekend and really freeze your ass off while you're doing it. Keep warm as best you can. These mega challenges take time out of a terrible month like February and they also give you like a boost of Gratitude for you know like this sitting in a room. That's heated with hot coffee and so on and so forth Because it's very real folks, you know, you're inside more than ever February You don't get the sunlight that you used to get you certainly don don't get the sunlight you get in like August, July, right? Hopefully you get sunlight and This is just what I do, you know 30 days the sadhana in the morning is
Starting point is 00:39:15 Breathing and stretching look into it. I'm not gonna explain the whole thing right now. The fasting is uniquely yours Alright, you do you do some kind of time restricted eating, how hours fasting, maybe days fasting if you want to do that. I don't know whatever you want to do. But it's in create a fast, you know what I mean? My phone is exploding. I have to look. I've got to imagine it's. Oh, oh, no.
Starting point is 00:39:43 Worse than everything. a child from half across the The county here needs a delivery Rats oh And I've been getting so many requests for people to come on PBN. We've got some really good ones coming man We've got a guy who is all about Repopulating planets Richard Anderson he's gonna be on on the 24th. We're gonna talk about surviving on Mars. But anyway the 50 here that you see here next to me is
Starting point is 00:40:20 50 reps of three exercises, whatever you want to do whatever you want to do 50 reps of three exercises, whatever you want to do. Whatever you want to do. You can do 50 sit-ups, 50 push-ups, 50 squats and be done for the day. Okay? And it's just, that is just one of those things where your body needs some kind of workout. You do the workout, come home, or finish up whatever, and you're better off mentally. Because your body has physical requirements, you got to meet mentally. Because you know your body has physical requirements you got to meet them. And the other big thing is the gratitude
Starting point is 00:40:48 prayer. The gratitude prayer man before bed for those of you have trouble falling asleep. The gratitude prayer is essential. It is essentially a long list of the things that you're grateful for in life and you know broaden your horizons broaden your thinking when you do this okay my wife my kids my mom my dad yeah they're good and you could put them in your prayer and you probably should but broadened like like back out look at the day from start to finish in deep detail you know what I mean you might have a cover that you're in bed with you know what I mean like you've got this cover
Starting point is 00:41:24 and when you get under this cover it's's like, oh my god, this is the best cover for winter. Thank you God for this amazing cover. You know what I mean? And do a nice long list and just continue to go down the list and challenge yourself. I do this in bed with my eyes closed and this is how I fall asleep. Particularly in particularly in the winter months. And it's just a good way to touch base with all the beautiful things in your life and then wake up the next day on a positive note. Most people fall asleep like this I think. Right? Most people are like until
Starting point is 00:41:58 they can't see straight anymore and then boom. right. So that's it. That's the that's the commander's challenge. That's the end of the show. I'm pretty sure I hit everything. I'm supposed to hit if not, oh well tomorrow folks. We will be audio only the Friday audio only podcast one of my favorite parts of the week.
