I don't want to set the world on fire.
Indeed, the American Revolution cannot be understood without taking into account the religious teachings that motivated patriots to action.
But freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.
When I decided they'd go kill some Americans, what difference at this point does it make?
We are the Prepper Broadcasting Network.
Welcome everybody to the Rising Republic.
It's L. Douglas Hogan, author, podcaster, a conservative voice in southern Illinois.
And I will not be silenced.
I know that's the dream.
That's the plan, the motive.
That's exactly what they want on the left is for just for people that are on the right,
for conservative voices, just to throw their hands in the air and say,
you know what, we've been beat.
You win.
We'll shut up.
If you want to believe there's an unlimited number of genders,
if you want to confiscate my guns here,
Take them. I give them up freely.
If you want it to regulate firearms, you want new gun legislation, you can have it.
No.
Not doing it.
That's the dream of the left.
That's exactly what the left wants.
But guess what?
It's not going to happen with me.
And I know it's not going to happen with a lot of conservative voices out there, especially the big names who are pulling the weight.
Charlie left really big shoes to fill.
And I'm not sure who's going to step out and be able to do what he did.
We still have Turning Point USA.
I think it's a fantastic movement, reaching out to college campuses and universities
and touching the hearts and minds of young voters and young people
and putting the word of God into their hearts and instilling conservative values into them.
That's exactly what we need.
and we need more of it and the left would rather shoot you than have you have you do that
than to have you have a voice to have you with an opinion they don't want that at all
because after all we're the fascists right the right wing the conservative movement
they're the fascists, which is obviously backwards because you've seen what happened.
Let's look at George Floyd for a second.
A drug abuser, a criminal.
He was a lifetime thug.
He made a career of it.
And he did not die because the police officer killed him.
If you're unaware of that, go back and reexamine the facts that came out of that court,
down to the examiner's office.
He was hyped up on so much drugs.
Laying face down,
makes it hard to breathe anyway.
It did not help that that officer had his knee in his back.
Don't get me wrong.
I'm not trying to vindicate that officer.
That he deserved to be convicted of murder.
Or even manslaughter.
No, because there is no intent.
In order to have a crime, you have to have intent.
And that's where I stand on that.
but look at what happened with George Floyd
they erected a monument to him
they built
kind of like a miniature city
and put walls around it
and people with guns on the walls
and this was the movement of the left
it was Antifa Black Lives Men
I can't remember who the group was
but the values that they seek to take down
and to destroy
they were actually utilizing
and that's exactly what's happening now
the people on the right
when one of their own gets assassinated
we don't take to the streets
we don't burn down mom-paw stores
we don't run into Nike stores
we don't run into
any seers
anything like that
and loot and pillage and plunder
no we don't do that
what we do is we hold vigils
we hold peaceful
get to
But that's not what happens on the left.
When the left loses their mind, people die.
And we've now had a movement and this growing movement of violence from the left.
And it seems to me the only way to stop gun violence is to not allow Democrats and liberals in particular or transgender persons to have guns.
Because these school shootings, these murders, these mass shootings,
these are not happening at the hands of right-wing conservatives.
They're not happening at the hands who are trained in the use of firearms.
They're not happening at the hands of people with Christian values and morals.
No, they're happening at the hands of atheists, at socialists, and entitled little brats.
People with mental illnesses.
That's the real problem here.
We don't have a gun problem.
We have a mental illness problem.
And it's something that needs to be addressed.
I just can't believe the stupidity, utter sheer stupidity coming from the people on the left.
And it's completely, some of the stuff is just completely bonkers.
Completely so far out there, so far gone that they're absolutely crazy.
And there's one in particular that I saw Facebook post on.
And I thought, how stupid are you to post something like this?
It's bad enough.
We got idiots on the left celebrating the death of somebody who believed in free and open debate.
A father and a husband celebrating his death.
There was people in that crowd that jumped up in utter jubilation.
And you see these videos, lots of them,
and I'm so glad that people are getting fired for it.
I'll cover that in a little bit.
But one post in general that I thought was disgusting,
absolutely disgusting,
was that when Charlie Kirk leaned in one direction,
his shirt kind of hung down a little bit,
and you could see the strap of his vest,
because Charlie wore a bulletproof vest.
but somebody saw that strap on his vest
and thought that it was the edge of a mask
or some kind of something that they put
inside of the movie magic stuff
to have like fake blood spray or whatever
and they believe that he faked his death
faked it
to spread
more discontentment, more division.
It's just that is crazy to me
that that is actually what's going on out there.
And I'm not going to cover the videos of these idiots
that are on the left that are posting
to social media celebrating.
They got coming to them, what they got coming to them.
I'm glad they got fired.
You can do a simple Google search.
Just a simple Google search.
Google search.
Fired for celebrating Charlie Kirk death.
Teachers, firefighters, this is from the independent.
Teachers, firefighters, and other workers celebrate Charlie Kirk's death.
CNN, people are getting fired for, and they put allegedly, celebrating Charlie Kirk's
death.
They have to put their little twist on there, allegedly.
USA Today.
Marine fired over Charlie Kirk Post.
Good.
And it's not actually called fire.
It's called Discharged.
He was relieved of his services.
West Ada, this is from Idaho Patch.com.
West Ada fires Meridian School employee for Charlie Kirk death comments.
Fox Business, workers fired for inappropriate Charlie Kirk assassination comments.
The Hill.
Multiple professionals punished for Charlie Kirk.
Punished, really?
Insider, I'm sorry, inside higher ed.
staff members fired, grad students punished for cheering Charlie Kirk assassination.
The Washington Examiner.
Rapid Retribution.
Republicans get those who celebrate Charlie Kirk assassination.
NPR, Charlie Kirk critics are being targeted online and losing their jobs.
But I say good.
If you're going to be an employee for some company, some business,
and you're going to represent their company and their business by cheering somebody's assassination.
You deserve to be fired.
In fact, I hope you never get another job again until you repent, change your ways.
Ryan couldn't make it today.
That's some stuff going on.
There's actually a storm outside my home right now.
Starting to die down.
I had to take a break there for a second just to go outside and assess the damage.
We got a branch down by along our pool and a smaller wind over on the corner of our pool
and some of our lawn furniture had blown away.
I'm going to need some work when the ground dries up a little bit.
All that being said, I, you know, I have, I made a, I have a few videos where I'm, you know,
scrolling throughout the week watching different clips on YouTube or whatever.
And I save things.
I created a little safe spot called The Rising.
Republic it's just things I want to share or talk about on the show but uh came across this one of
of Matt Walsh and I'm not going to play the whole show because it's a longer video
but he had some wonderful things to say and I can't put everything into my verbiage I'm a writer
I'm an author I think is what I do I'm a much better thinker than I am an orator now I teach
You know, I got a saving or surviving martial law seminar.
I teach on that.
I teach on Agenda 31, you know, these different things that I teach on.
I could teach all day long off of a script.
I don't script this show.
This show is just, it's, it's off the cuff.
We talk here about things.
I might save some sound bites for the show and talk about everything that we have here, though.
Everything that we do, it's just, it's unscripted.
That's what we do.
But Matt Walsh in this video that I saw, I just want to play this because I thought he had some wonderful things to say.
And they echo my sentiment.
So let me get to that.
We will not have a normal show today.
I want to talk to you about what has happened over the past 24 hours.
I have a lot to say.
And I also don't know what to say at the same time.
I'm a devastated, heartbroken and very, very.
angry. And I'll try to talk through some of that today. There is a lot of newsbreaking about
this shooting and the hunt for the assassin. As I record this, most of the reports that are coming in
are unconfirmed. So I'm not going to comment on any of those specifics until the details are
confirmed. But for now, I just want to talk about Charlie and who he was, the legacy that he
leaves behind, and a little bit about where we go from here. Now, last time I saw
my friend Charlie Kirk in person was when I appeared with him on stage at the TPP USA Pastor Summit back in the spring.
And I spoke with him backstage beforehand and told him, as I had several times before, that I was incredibly impressed by this institution and this movement that he built.
But he wasn't interested in listening to me compliment him.
He deflected, as always, and started talking, asking me about myself and saying nice and encouraging things.
a few months before that in the wake of Trump's victory, Charlie made a point of posting something
on X to give me partial credit for helping Trump win. And it was one of the very few times
that I disagreed with something that Charlie said. The truth is that he was the primary reason
why Trump won. It was his organizing and advocacy and activism and mobilization that helped
to turn the tide and yet he wanted to give the credit to other people, even people who didn't
deserve it. And that's the kind of guy that Charlie was. A very rare type in the world today,
even rare in this business. So it may seem like a small thing, but Charlie's desire to give
other people credit to point to and praise and lift up other people rather than himself is
one of the most profound testaments to his character. Charlie was a truly great man, great,
in personal virtue, great in achievement, great in his talents. He was a builder. He was an
organizer. He was a fighter, which is a rare combination. In this movement, you know, you've got a bunch
of big personalities who can inform, entertain, hold your attention on stage or in front of a camera.
And then you have the organizers who know how to orchestrate and build and harness those
personalities and point them in the right direction. Charlie was one of the only guys I ever knew who
was truly great in both areas. He was a one-of-a-kind talent. Everyone who knew him and so many who
did not know him personally could tell that he was destined to be the president of the United
States one day. I would have been proud to vote for him. Tens of millions of Americans felt the
same way. Charlie was brave. He would go anywhere, talk to anyone. He would debate anyone in any
environment. He trusted in his own vast rhetorical skill and in the rightness of his ideas. And most
of all, as a man of deep faith, he trusted in the Lord. I don't know if he had Isaiah 4110 written
as a mantra in his house somewhere, but it certainly seemed to be written on his heart, at least.
Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes,
I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
He knew that the Lord was with him, protecting him, guiding his thoughts and his words,
which is really the only way to explain Charlie's nearly supernatural ability to win every debate he ever had with anyone.
God had called him to this moment and blessed him as he rose to it again and again.
Charlie was a patriot.
He loved America.
He fought for her every day.
He died for her.
His central ambition was not for his own personal.
advancement, but for the well-being and flourishing of this country. For Charlie, Make America
Great Again, that was not just a slogan on a hat. It was his mission. It was his great
project. And he did more to complete that mission than you could ever expect one man to do.
Most importantly of all, of course, Charlie was a husband and a father. He loved his family
deal. You didn't have to know him or ever meet him in person to know that about him. It came
across and everything he said and did. This was clearly a man who cherished his family.
would have died to make a better world for them and did.
And now he's gone.
We've seen him die right in front of our eyes on stage.
He died while trying to have a free and civil debate,
which is all that he ever did.
He didn't insult.
He didn't defame.
He didn't shout anyone down.
He invited everyone to come and speak to him to prove him wrong.
And for that, they killed him.
I have to tell you that as a fellow conservative in the public eye, you know, I always worried that it would come to this, that eventually they would start killing us.
But I never thought it would be Charlie.
He was the nicest, most generous and charitable of us, far less inflammatory than plenty of other people in the space, myself included.
and they killed him in spite of that or not in spite but because he was he was too effective
he was too widely beloved especially among the younger generations so they killed him i can only
be honest with you in this moment and tell you that um that i am sad i am heartbroken
and I am full of rage.
If you want a kumbaya message of unity and togetherness,
you will not get it from me.
Over the past 24 hours, I've seen some in the media,
some of the very same people who intentionally stoked murderous hatred
against people like Charlie Kirk and Charlie Kirk specifically,
now saying that we need to turn down the temperature
and start having conversations.
Well, Charlie tried to have conversations with you on the left, and you killed them for it.
You're killing us in our churches.
You tried to kill our president.
You killed one of our greatest advocates in Charlie Kirk.
You have been openly cheering for it and celebrating and encouraging and committing political violence for years.
Antifa, BLM, well-funded, highly orchestrated, widespread movements based in and fueled by violence.
He made a hero out of Luigi Mangione.
and you celebrate Charlie's death even now.
It's too late to turn the temperature down.
This is not a time to hold hands.
It's a time for justice.
This is a time for good to fight back against evil.
It is time for the righteous to prevail.
For the sake of our country and for our families and our children.
And for Charlie.
And many of you have seen all the myriad posts and videos from leftist demons
celebrating Charlie's death.
I know we want to tell ourselves that these are fringe voices,
but they aren't.
There's a very large group of people out there who want us dead.
Even in Congress, they tried to have a moment of silence after Charlie's passing,
but Democrats jeered and heckled in Congress.
This is who they are.
I just want to stop it there and think Matt Wall.
for those words, I mean, 100%, I'm 100% behind what he just said.
They are leftist demons.
They're not a fringe movement.
When they reach the halls of Congress, it's grown out of control.
And we have a lunatic demon from the left by the name of Stephen King, who on X made a post.
in response to a conservative voice,
but Stephen King posted,
Jesse Waters posted,
Charlie Kirk was not a controversial
or polarizing man.
Charlie was a patriot.
He said this in a turning point,
and we all need to turn to him,
terms of disregard,
we all need to turn in the right direction.
Then Stephen King gets in there and says,
he advocated stoning gaze to death,
just saying.
When that was still up,
I immediately post,
to it.
These are lies.
I wasn't the only one.
A lot of conservative voices got up to these are lies.
It got big to the point where he came back,
apologizing over and over and over again,
saying I was wrong.
It's something I read on X.
I'll never do that again,
less learned, whatever his response was.
But maybe he should.
shouldn't just go and start posting lies like that without doing at least a couple
research, you know, doing research and getting a couple of resources, especially when
you're a figure, you know, with a name like yours. I mean, everybody knows that you're a diehard
liberal. So when you post something like that, you're going to have to realize that there's a lot
of lunatics out there who's just going to drink up the Kool-Aid.
And there are some bookstores that took Stephen King's book off the shelf and good.
I'm glad of it.
I'm happy for it.
And I would like to see more of this kind of movement of boycotting.
If you're going to represent like that, they need to face the consequences.
Because we've been living too long in a space where hate is spewed.
violence is enacted and nothing is done about it.
It's just done with impunity.
And that's the entitlement of the left.
But that impunity doesn't apply to the right.
If you're on the right and you do something,
you're held accountable for it,
even if you're falsely accused for it.
And it's a lie and made up by the left.
J6.
Excuse me.
So let's stop right there for a second.
I just want to hear from our friends over at the Prepper Medical Handbook.
Here's our sponsor.
Are you prepared to be the family doctor in a disaster or emergency?
This is the Intrepid Commander, and I'm holding the Prepper's Medical Handbook by William W. Forgey MD.
In this great book, you'll learn how to prepare for medical care off the grid.
You'll learn about assessment and stabilization.
You'll even deal with things like bioterrorism response, radiation, and how to build the off-grid medical kit at home.
Look, 2020 taught us a lot about the limitations of our medical infrastructure in America.
Get the Preppers Medical Handbook today at Amazon.com.
Again, that's the Preppers Medical Handbook by William W. 40.
And I just want to say that there's a huge movement on the left.
And like Matt Walsh said, and I'm going to echo, it's not a fringe movement.
It's reached the halls of Congress.
And congresspersons have been pushing, advocating, saying for public platforms on television, it's all recorded.
Look up for yourself.
Pushing for the violence of right-wing voices.
We've heard it over and over and over again on the front end of this show and some of my older intros.
The left did it for a long time and they're still doing it.
But the First Amendment, let me break this down because some people believe that the First Amendment gives you unprecedented, unwavering rights to get up in someone's face, spit on them, threaten their lives, cause us.
violence and chaos, aka rioting, and the left still believes that that's protesting and practicing
their First Amendment right. But as it is written in the Constitution, Amendment 1 says
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free
exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right
of the people, peaceably, to assemble, and to petition the government.
to redress a grievances.
So the freedom of speech,
there are actual laws that prohibit people.
It's not unconstitutional to have a law,
obviously, because the Supreme Court would have struck it down
if it was the case, threatening physical harm to people.
That's not a freedom of speech
because you are violating someone else's right.
And you don't have a right to violate someone else's right.
And if you are out there threatening or getting in the face of someone, as people have said in the past to do, Booker, Maxine Waters and others, get up in their face, they say.
Run them out of their businesses, they say.
You're violating those person's rights.
Your rights end where theirs begin.
You don't get to do that.
burning things down, buildings, cars, that's not peaceably assembling.
That's illegal too.
That's arson.
That's domestic disturbances.
That's just plain simple public nuisances.
You can't do that.
And so you think that you got a right to it, but you don't.
It's not there.
It never was.
So I would encourage anybody out there that's delusional.
And you've lived with a spoon in your mouth.
Everything's been given to you for free, free phones, free college, room and board, a free pass for whatever.
And you've never worked a day in your life or day in your life.
If you've never had to give away a third of your check to support someone else that's sitting on their rump,
I don't want to hear from you.
Just keep your mouth shut because you have no idea what life is.
And that's all I have to say for this episode of The Rising Republic.
I'm Mel Douglas Hogan.
God bless.
Stay safe out there.
It's a dangerous world.
Watch your back.
I got your six.
America's at a crossroads.
Every day our freedoms are tested
and our values are challenged.
Our future is being written.
On the Rising Republic,
we cut through the noise
and talk about what really matters.
Faith, liberty, survival,
and standing firm against the tides
that would strip us of both history and
hope. If you're tired of being silenced, if you're ready to think for yourself, and if you believe
that the Republic is worth fighting for, then this is your show. Join us each week as we take
a stand to share the truth and remind America of what it was built on. And if you've got a story
