I'm your host, Carll b and hopefully everyone's having an okay week my heart goes out to all the folks in north carolina and in florida and all the areas that have been affected by the flood i mean the hurricane right it's never really easy to deal with that um i remember uh years ago when we had the catastrophic flooding up here that was caused by the hurricane, that was caused by a hurricane, and it just, it almost wiped out the entire town. So I understand, you know, just how, you know, terrifying it must be to be swamped by all that water. And, you know, and a lot of times there's no,

it seems like there's no help around for the people that need it. It seems like FEMA got caught flat-footed. Seems like they didn't have the funds or the organization. It seems to get stuff to the people. And, you know, private citizens, right, are the ones saving the organization it seems to get stuff to the people and uh you know and private citizens right are the ones saving the day here as usual um so it's really um heartbreaking um and please if you're listening to this um and you haven't like you know given something you know it could just be five dollars right you know just just send some money to help uh with all those efforts um uh you know um in those uh hurricane uh you know

Things are hectic. But the kids, they seem to be flourishing. You know, my son is playing a lot of soccer.

So we're, you know, we're always faring him and taking him to all these different games and practices and stuff. And my daughter, she's big in the band and all that stuff. I'm sorry, orchestra. And, and, yeah, so, you know, it's, it's, it's busy. It's busy. And there are times when you just get squeezed. Yeah, to a lot of folks don't realize that, you know, to do a podcast, right, it does take some planning and you have to sit down and you have to kind of correlate all your sources. And like, OK, I'm going to talk about this, that and the other. I think last week last saturday um you know this will never get any play in the mainstream media even a whiff of this i'm sure will never get any play in the mainstream media of course because they're protecting their own political um you know candidate right you know

the mainstream media have their political candidate they're trying to get elected fox and the conservative media also have their candidate that they're trying to get elected. I've stayed away from a lot of the politics and what's going on because to me, it's the only way to stay mentally healthy. I'm going to go out and vote just like everybody else is going to go out and vote. You're going to vote your conscience. You're going to vote on the issues. But yeah, you know, the tit for tat and all this other stuff and the winding people up and getting people all crazy. No, I'm nobody's puppet, right? You know, I'm not a wind up toy.

And then, of course, you know, once the transition of power occurs there in January, and then we just deal with whomever is in right um that's the way I'm playing it anyway so we're going to talk about did Iran uh conducted underground uh you know a nuclear test we're also going to talk about uh you know how inflation rose in September because that impacts us and our planning and we're and, I'm just going to leave with some hurricane tips, you know, what to do, you

And on India.com, it says, did Iran conduct underground nuclear tests on Saturday night?

Measured earthquake in region suggests. And intensity was 4.5 on the Richter scale. And it says an earthquake of moderate intensity occurred in Iran and Israel on Saturday night. This is last Saturday night, October 5th. Strangely enough, both the countries experienced the earthquake at a marginal difference in the timing. In such a situation, it is being speculated whether Iran has conducted its nuclear test. Now, of course, Hezbollah is being battered by the Israelis right now. And I think that this has really rushed probably, you know, the Iranians now are rushing all of this through, probably with the help of Russians, Russian help, right? Because, you know, Iran and Russia has

become closer because of the Ukrainian war. And, of course, the world cutting off, you know, Russia's assets. So, you know, any friend in a tight, any help in a tight situation is a friend, right? So I would not be surprised if Russia is aiding Iran and getting Iran, you know, help for its nuclear program. This is a worrying thing. It'd be interesting if there are other similar type earthquakes. At some point, I think that we're going to hear probably in the next,

I would say within the next year that maybe Iran, especially if the war is going badly, we're going to hear that iran does have a nuclear weapon and that's going to be a game changer um this is from pravda here right um uh given the intense state of conflict between Iran and Israel, people have started linking the earthquakes in these two countries with Iran's nuclear tests on social media. There have been speculations in many reports that it was not an earthquake. Rather, Iran conducted underground nuclear tests due to which a shock was felt in both the countries. which a shock was felt in both the countries.

A report claimed that the earthquake in Iran occurred very close to the nuclear power plant, so it cannot be said whether the shock was due to an earthquake or a nuclear test. Another report has claimed that the earthquake in Iran could be an underground nuclear test because its center was at a depth of only 10 kilometers from the ground. In such a situation, the speculation about Iran's nuclear test has deepened. Okay, so did Iran conduct an underground nuclear test or not? This is worrying news because it would spark, I think, a serious escalation in the tensions and in the war between Israel and Hezbollah. And I'm sure, well, Hezbollah is just a proxy of Iran. So really, if we want to really just come out and say the truth about this, right? Israel is at war with Iran at this point, you know, but a lot of these little wars are going through proxies, right?

You know, NATO is using, say, the Ukraine as a proxy, right? So, and there was an intriguing article online the other day, you know, saying that, yeah, we're already at war, World War III is already on the way. It's just that, you know, right now it's all through proxies, right? And we've been saying that here on The Strange Truth and on PBN for a long, long, long time. Okay. that here on the strange truth and on pbn for a long long long time okay so you know um but these are stories that you would never hear uh you know um in the mainstream media because they just bury everything um there's no real journalism going on there anymore right um let's see the other story that i'm going to jump in right now, because this affects everyone listening to this, everybody right in the United States is. And this one is taken from the Gateway Pundit. Inflation rises in September. Food prices surge. Auto insurance prices soar.

And it says here, surprise, inflation rose to 2.4 in September, less energy and food. The Labor Department said the consumer price index rose 2.4 percent. Core services and food surged in September. Auto insurance prices skyrocketed and are up 56% since Biden-Harris were installed. And food prices rose again. The index for meats, poultry, fish, and eggs rose 0.8% in September. The eggs index jumped 0.9% over the month following a 0.2% decline in August, Zero Hedge reported. Now, since the Biden administration took office, gas has gone up by 38.2%.

Electricity has gone up by 31 percent 38.2 percent um electricity has gone up right by 31.3 percent let me just read that again since biden took office gas has gone up right plus 38.2 percent electricity has gone up 31.3 percent fuel oil has gone up 37.4 percent airfare has increased 24.5 percent this guy's only been there for he and miss hires right they've only been there for what three and a half years you know going on four years now right uh this is some massive jumps hotels have gone up 42.4 percent groceries has gone up 22.1 percent eggs have gone up 69.2 percent baby food has gone up 31 percent k through 12 food has gone up 31%. K-12 food has gone up 69.7%. Rent has gone up 22.9%. Transportation has gone up 31.1%.

Car insurance has gone up 56.5%. Real average weekly earnings have gone down, down 3.4%. So the real average weekly earnings have gone down 3.4%, minus 3.4%. it's just insane uh how these um you know um you know how inflation is just wrecking uh you know it's just destroying people all over the uh the the nation right now and that's one of the reasons why yeah you have to be careful with your money and and you you have to make sure that you're prepared right just in case there's any kind of emergency so this is this is really bad but what really stood out for me is the gas gone up 38.2 percent you're paying 31.3 percent more for electricity groceries you're paying 22.1 percent more a food like eggs, you know, you're paying 69.2% more. Everyone, well, pretty much everyone pays

rent, right? You're paying 22.9% more. And the real average weekly earnings have gone down, actually, 3.4%. So people are actually earning less now than they were before Biden took office. And these are some massive numbers. And I think that these are going to affect the outcome of a lot of things in November. But people are hurting right now. These are real numbers being felt all across America. This isn't fantasy or feel-good stuff. You know, these are real numbers that's affecting every single American, rich, poor, doesn't matter what

color you are, doesn't matter, you know, what gender you are, you know what I mean? It doesn't matter. Everybody's feeling it, right? Everybody's feeling it. All right. So that's the story on inflation. Okay. One thing that I am going to get into now and I'll end the podcast on this is hurricane safety tips. Okay. Let's just hope that Milton was the last of it for the season. So let's just hope that Milton was the last of it for the season.

But there will come a time when there will be other, you know, hurricanes, depressions and stuff like that that people have to deal with. And here are some tips, really, that you can always follow to keep yourself and your family safe during a hurricane and i'm taking this from the fema the fema wow all of a sudden i'm almost like yawning there what's going on right tired tired tired it's been a long day folks but um gotta get into this hurricane safety tips here, right? And it says here, learn what to do before, during, and after a hurricane. And it says, to prepare for a hurricane, you should take the following measures. To begin preparing, you should build an emergency kit and make a family communications plan. You should know your surroundings, learn the elevation level of your property and whether the land is flood prone. This will help you to know how your property will be affected when storm

surge or tidal flooding are forecasted. Identify levees and dams in your area and determine whether they pose a hazard to you. Learn community hurricane evacuation routes and how to find higher ground. Determine where you would go and how you would get there if you needed to evacuate. Make plans to secure your property. Cover all of your home's windows. Permanent storm shutters offer the best protection for windows. A second option is to board up windows with 5x8 marine plywood cut to fit and ready to install. Tape does not prevent windows from breaking. Install straps or additional clips to securely

fasten your roof to the frame structure. This will reduce roof damage. Be sure trees and shrubs around your home are well trimmed so they are more wind resistant. Clear loose and clogged rain gutters and downspouts. Reinforce your garage doors. If wind enters a garage, it can cause dangerous and expensive structural damage. Plan to bring in all outdoor furniture, decorations, garbage cans, and anything else that is not tied down. Determine how and where to secure your boat if you have one. Install a generator for emergencies or just get one for emergencies. Install a generator for emergencies or just get one for emergencies. If in a high rise building, be prepared to take shelter on or below the 10th floor.

Consider building a safe room. So those are just some tips that you can use to keep you and your family safe during an emergency. Another article, right, that I'll read, right, is from Lifehacker, The Safest Places to Be During a Hurricane, right? And it says here, where are the safest places to be during a hurricane? Well, first, get out of the hurricane's path. The safest place to be when a hurricane approaches is somewhere else. So you should definitely evacuate when appropriate.

Hurricanes are not entirely predictable, but they're slow enough that evacuation is usually possible. Don't be prideful. Track storms while they're far away and get out of dodge if you're in danger. It says go to a designated shelter. Sometimes residents are ordered to shelters as hurricanes approach. If the civic authorities tell you to go to one, then do it. An official shelter will almost definitely be safer than your house. Stay inside your home. If you haven't evacuated, whether because you're stubborn or shelter-in-place orders have been given, stay inside. Hurricanes are powerful, fascinating storms, but resist the urge to go outside and experience them or to try to batten down the hatches as the storm is upon you. It's too late.

Save yourself, not your lawn furniture. Stay away from windows. Don't look out the windows during a hurricane. The storm's winds can turn the glass in your windows to flying daggers of death in an instant. Go to a small interior room, the safest place in your house is the middle. You're trying to avoid shards of flying glass when your windows are blown in. So an trying to avoid shards of flying glass when your windows are blown in. So an interior room with no windows is your best bet. It could be a hallway, a bathroom, a pantry, etc. Wherever you hunker down, make sure there are no heavy objects above you that could fall. Stay on the lowest floor. Avoid the upper floors of your home because the

wind is stronger the higher you go. And in severe hurricanes, roofs can be blown off or destroyed by blown debris. The first floor or even better, the basement is stabilized by the foundation of your home. So those are just some tips. You know, you got to know how emergency alerts for hurricanes work Right? Staying in the know can help you and your family be safe You'll know if you need to evacuate Or whether it's safer to stay put Make sure your phone or backup burner phone Are set to receive the wireless emergency alerts

These are free 90-character texts that local authorities can send to mobile devices within range of any cell tower in an effective area. There's no need to sign up. Just make sure your phones are updated and charged. Yeah, and you can also do the whole thing. You can also receive alerts and warnings directly from the National Weather Service with a Nawa Weather Radio. Do your best to make sure everyone in the family is able to get warnings and alerts, not just you.

keeping yourself safe and your family safe. You know, hopefully Hurricane Milton is the last. Right. And because these people all need relief from all these storms. So hopefully it's the last storm that will blow in and folks can start rebuilding their lives. Monitor the news just in case there are, you know, violent protests and different things going on that you need for your own personal safety. But the really toxic stuff, you know, that's not good for anybody and not good for anybody's health and mental well-being. So stay away from it if you can, right? You know, spend time with your family and your loved ones and, you know, and just try and keep yourself, you know, grounded and fresh because if an emergency comes up, right, you can function a lot better if you're not really stressed out.
