The Welcome to another episode of The Strange Truth.
I'm your host, Carl B.
I really hope that everyone's had a good
week and that
you didn't get too stressed about the news. There's been a lot going on
lately and I know that last week my
podcast was about hope and
the hosts on PBN, they were engaged in kind of a bug out scenario.
If you haven't heard that, please listen to it.
It's pretty cool, actually, that they kind of ran themselves through just to, you know,
get some insight as to what it would be like.
But there's a lot that's been going on in the world.
And the older you get, the more wacky a lot of this stuff just seems.
But today we're going to talk a little bit about the food situation,
the continuing war on food.
And we're going to talk about a few other things
as well so um you know uh let me just um drop in some of the sponsors here
and uh and we'll just jump right in we'll get right into it. Are you prepared to be the family doctor in a disaster or emergency?
This is the Intrepid Commander and I'm holding the Prepper's Medical Handbook by William W.
Forgy, MD. In this great book, you'll learn how to prepare for medical care off the grid.
You'll learn about assessment and stabilization. You'll even deal with things like bioterrorism response,
radiation, and how to build the off-grid medical kit at home. Look, 2020 taught us a lot about the
limitations of our medical infrastructure in America. Get the Prepper's Medical Handbook today

A lot happened last week. We're going to talk about a few things. We're going to talk about what's going on with food. We'll start there. We'll talk about what's going on with bit more detail because these were really seriously important things that occurred over the last couple
of days.
So I'm just going to jump right in.
And there was an interesting article on allnewspipeline.com and they were
talking about food and this one was um while the media focuses on everything but americans food
news that affects every single american citizen is buried on an avalanche of mainstream media
liberal activism and uh you know it's just gonna to get insane, right? You're not really going to get
much real news until after November. And it used to be that, you know, the media would report on
things that really mattered. You know, now they're, you know, most of the media is just an
arm of either the Democrat or Republican Party. I'd rather it not be the arm
of any party, but just kind of reporting on serious issues and doing serious investigative
journalism and not just targeting one political party versus another. whatever happened to those days uh it's it's really sad what's what's become of
our our journal you know journalism today because you go from one platform to another and all they're
doing is just cutting and pasting they're just repasting stuff um there's here hardly any real
uh let me go out and investigate this um and uh and of course uh for the most part if you don't tow the msm line um then you you
become targeted uh katherine hetridge right you know what happened to her there uh it was pretty
sad to see um they just basically bounced her out and they did that so uh number one i'm sure that
they're clearing the decks uh There is no real opposition.
We're just going to hear one story pretty much in the media.
And that is how, you know, the Republicans and Mr. Trump is bad and how Biden, you know, and Democrats are good.
Pretty much. That's all we're going to be hearing. and uh so uh i am planning on you know i'll you know i'm of course i'm always scanning through
the news looking for important things but i'm staying away from a lot of the political stuff
this year because it's just uh it's just too much uh i think that a lot of people are going to do
what i am going to be doing which is uh you kind of make up your mind how you're going to vote
and then you're just going to go in and do it.
And barring any really massive upheaval or, you know, Black Swan event or something that
really rock us back on our heels, can't really see it happening, right?
can't really see it happening, right? The question that we really have to ask is,
are any of our, you know, elections from this point onward, are any of them really like fair and secure? And that, of course, is troubling a lot of people, not just me, you know um but this is the way how i think rational people think and talk versus
uh folks that are just in lockstep with everything uh the mainstream media says whether you be
democrat or republican right uh so we're gonna uh read some news about food here and it says um uh let's see
some mainstream media have touched on what is happening in the world of food news as we will
cite uh and link to a few below that's in the article but the sheer amount of liberal uh agenda articles guarantees that news
mostly important to america americans is buried so deep you have to hunt hard to uh for them
permanently high food prices a cattle shortage poultry industry once again the crosshairs from
avian flu egg prices on the rise again and staple food to be uh staple food
to be strained again in 2024 so i'll read that again permanently high food prices here to stay
right we've gotten so used to them now but because they're not actually going down they're going up
permanently high food prices a cattle shortage poultry industry once again in the crosshairs from avian flu,
egg prices on the rise again, and staple food to be strained again in 2024.
Those are some of the issues we'll be dealing with,
many of which there is a high likelihood that most Americans know nothing about
because of the avalanche of activism articles clogging up the internet.
Everything but pork.
Evidently from quite a few searches regarding pork and pork products,
that is about the only meat that will not be in short supply.
We'll start with beef, a favorite of many,
whether for stews, casseroles, roasts, steaks, or even ground beef, where we see
that U.S. cattle inventories are at a 73-year low.
So that's U.S. cattle inventories are at a 73-year low.
Not many ranchers active today will remember the last time the U.S. cattle industry was this small.
On January 1, 2024, all the cattle and calves inventory was 87.15% smaller year over year and is the fifth consecutive year of declining cattle inventories.
A total decrease of 7.65 million head or 8.1% since the most recent peak in 2019.
since the most recent peak in 2019. The 2023 calf crop was 33.6 million head down 2.5% year over year and the smallest calf crop since 2014. In 1951, Americans population was 150 million.
In 2024, it is 336 million.
So according to the U.S. Census Bureau, more than double the population now than in 1951, yet roughly the same amount of cattle.
Isn't it strange that liberal state, country and world leaders are claiming that beef is bad for the environment, so much so that we should be eating bugs and insects
instead. And lo and behold, the cattle market seems to be in free fall. Many claim it's because
of droughts, but let us not dare think or speak of controlled weather, lest we be accused of being conspiracy theorists.
Let's see.
Next up.
Experts also claim that beef prices could also rise up to 30% in 2024.
So they're saying that beef prices could rise up to 30% in 2024. So they're saying that beef prices could rise up to 30% in 2024.
Next up, chicken and eggs.
With a lot of searching using multiple keywords,
we finally found something reported
then promptly buried by the mainstream media
about California's egg basket,
about the avian flu outbreaks devastating California farms,
which is roiling the poultry industry.
Below are three key paragraphs, but the entire thing is a must-read.
And it says,
The highly contagious virus has ravaged Sonoma County, where officials have declared a state of emergency. During the
past two months, nearly a dozen commercial farms have had to destroy more than one million birds
to control the outbreak, dealing an economic blow to farmers, workers, and their customers.
Merced County in Central California also has
been hit hard with outbreaks at several large commercial egg-producing farms in recent weeks.
While bird flu has been around for decades, the current outbreak of the virus that began in early
2022 has prompted officials to slaughter nearly 82 million birds, mostly egg-laying chickens, in 47 U.S.
states, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Whenever the disease is found,
the entire flock is slaughtered to help limit the spread of the virus. Egg prices spiked for a while
then went down again and another reported from NerdWallet on February 13, 2024, tells us that egg prices are rising yet again,
due in part to a resurgence of bird flu affecting egg-laying hens.
However, egg producers are battling a resurgence of the virus.
So far, the latest outbreak has claimed 12.9 million birds since November 2023,
according to the USDA's Livestock, Dairy, and Poultry Outlook Report released in January. As a result, the USDA expects prices to rise again in 2024.
And it says here,
Staples are a topic of the next piece from the U.S. News and World Report.
Who blames it on El Nino?
They list rice, wheat, palm oil and other farm products in some of the world's top agricultural exporters and importers as items that will be strained in 2024.
What are they saying?
Texas and Colorado based cattle rancher Shad Sullivan.
They've all teamed up in this anti-meat rhetoric that you see sweeping across the globe to get
control of the people. And that's all it amounts to is total control. It starts with a global
elite like Bill Gates and Sourth and Klaus Schwab and Rockefeller, as the rancher said.
like Bill Gates and Klaus Schwab and Rockefeller, as the rancher said.
And they have employed their foot soldiers at the United Nations and the World Economic Forum, who both have said that the greatest threat to the planet right now is beef.
So in order to get control of that consumption and production, which is what they call sustainability,
they've come after our property rights, he explains.
Shortages in 2024 dumac has a list of foods that we
should expect shortages off other than the ones listed above those products include the following
list avocado oil olive oil almond milk canned tuna coffee, coffee, rice, peanut butter, tomato products, spices, wheat products,
pasta, bread, baked goods, cereal, salmon, and chocolate. I was just in my supermarkets up here
and they have, not only are we losing one supermarket because of the theft and all of that,
but there were some seriously empty shelves in the supermarket uh up by me um
last week so i'll read the list again uh dumac has a list of foods that we expect shortages off
other than the ones listed above those products include the following list and here are some of
the foods that they're expecting shortages for this year.
Avocado oil.
Olive oil.
Almond milk.
Canned tuna.
Coffee.
Rice.
Peanut butter.
Tomato products.
Spices.
Wheat.
Products.
Pasta.
Bread.
Baked goods.
Cereal.
Salmon.
Chocolate.
So I'll just pick a few out of here.
Olive oil. That's important to a lot of people.
Let's see. Coffee and rice. Those are big. Peanut butter is big. Tomato products is in everything.
Right. Spices, wheat products, salmon and chocolate. So those are all major things that
they expect to be shortages this year.
And if things are in short supply, that means that they're going to be more expensive.
So, you know, just watch out. Right. It's going to hurt us in the wallet again.
Bottom line, with everything else, the focus of media activists and global national food issues seems to be the last thing the media wishes to report on.
seems to be the last thing the media wishes to report on.
So that's true, right?
You know, food prices are going to just soar this year.
And, you know, all of this gets buried,
especially in a year where we're having an election. A lot of the news items are not going to be coming up on Google anymore.
Okay, so that's about food.
Let's talk a little bit about the cyber attack last week, right?
Now, AT&T is saying that it was some kind of software issue.
How much of that you want to buy?
You know, I really do think that most of the,
we're not going to be really getting the truth anymore
because they're not going to necessarily admit that,
you know, they're going to run all of this
through national security probably
before they release anything in the media.
So I'll just read this article here.
It comes from Most Important News
and was America just attacked? We have now been put on notice that
our communication infrastructure is extremely vulnerable uh and i'm guessing this was written
by michael snyder right and it says what would we do if we suddenly couldn't use the internet or
phones any longer for a lot of people such a scenario would be unthinkable in fact it felt
like the world is ending for many at it felt like the world is ending for many AT&T customers
on Thursday. The disruption to AT&T's network only lasted for a few hours, but it created quite a
frenzy. If we are going to see this much panic for an outage that happens for just a few hours,
what would our society look like if internet and phone
communications were down for days weeks or even months once the outage began federal authorities
moved very rapidly determined whether it was a cyber attack or not federal agencies are urgently
investigating whether the massive cellular outage that plagued americans on thursday was a cyber
attack the federal bureau federal bureau of investigation the fbi and the department of Americans on Thursday was a cyber attack. The Federal Bureau of Investigation, the FBI,
and the Department of Homeland Security, DHS, are on the hunt to track down what disrupted service
AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and a dozen other cellular providers.
While the agencies have not shared details, a security expert told Daily Mail that the outage has all the hallmarks of a hack.
Now, word have come out and AT&T have said, well, you know, this was just some kind of a software issue.
But how much of this can we seriously believe?
What was interesting and alarming to me, even than the phone issue was the pharmacy issue.
Because that, to me, goes way beyond AT&T and their software issues.
And it says here, interestingly, pharmacies all over the U.S. were also having major problems on Thursday due to a cyber attack against one of the biggest healthcare technology
companies in the nation. Pharmacies all over the country are experiencing delays in prescription
orders due to a cyber attack on one of the biggest healthcare technology companies in the nation,
Change Healthcare. Change Healthcare first noticed the cyber security issue affecting its network on
Wednesday morning on the east coast. This was last week.
According to Change Healthcare, it appears that a nation state associated cyber security
threat actor was involved in that attack.
So it seems like while this stuff was going on with AT&T, this attack on the pharmacies
was a completely different issue.
In a statement, the firm says it had identified a suspected nation-state
associated cybersecurity threat actor had gained access to some
of the changed healthcare information technology systems.
Are the issues at AT&T and the issues at change healthcare related?
Right?
It's a good question that he asked.
Right? right um it's a good question that he asked all right um and he says uh a trove of leaked documents uh from a chinese state linked hacking group shows that beijing's
intelligence and military groups are attempting large-scale systematic cyber intrusions against
foreign governments companies and, and infrastructure,
with hackers of one company claiming to be able to target users of Microsoft, Apple, and Google.
The cache containing more than 570 files, images, and chat logs offers an unprecedented look inside
the operations of one of the firms that Chinese government agencies hire for on-demand mass data collecting operations.
And so, you know, this was a really important event.
um event um there was from that cash trove that they uh got from china uh there was also the whole leak thing where um they found out that uh you know the the chinese were targeting um overseas
you know like uh you know taiwan and the u.s and, right, gearing up for possible invasion of Taiwan. So
there was that, that those leaked documents, you know, the 570 files or whatever that they had
found, there was another story about how, you know, they found evidence there, or they found
something that indicated that they were, you know, kind of like practicing these hacks, you know, as practice for, you know,
if they were ever in, you know, when they were able to go in and invade Taiwan.
So interesting, interesting thing happened last week.
It really did uh you know a lot of people lost
service um you know uh it just goes to show you that you've got to have more than one uh type of
communication if that's all possible uh if most of the cell service was to go down, we would be paralyzed, right?
And it not only affects people who are internet use, your phone use, and everything else.
The GPS systems go.
Imagine you're in traffic and you're using your phone to navigate, and all of a sudden, that's offline.
Right?
So I can just imagine that you know causing a lot of
problems with people imagine that guy whose phone was of no use storm probably
sitting in traffic when this was going on what was it like last Wednesday or
last Tuesday or Wednesday right when this was going on and not able to you
know use their use a you know at&t or google
maps or whatever it is to um to get where they were going right so so that you know it can be
very disruptive and um you understand that if you were if you were at work you know uh kids are at
school and we had a massive cyber attack that took down everything
you know how would you respond you know are you ready to respond to that scenario okay um so
it's really interesting uh event that occurred last week there is one article here that says, it's really short.
It's from End Time Headlines.
It says, EU and NATO members are weighing sending troops to Ukraine.
I think that Ukraine, they're on the ropes.
They lost that city the other day.
And it's not really looking good for them.
We're going to extend this war as much as possible, almost indefinitely, which is bad news because I think we should be finding some kind of solution to the problem so that people stop dying.
But I don't think that that's really possible now. either side um regardless of you know regardless if you if you like hate the russians or not um
you know um it doesn't really look good for the ukrainians they're dying as well and um you know
uh the the best solution probably would be now to sit at a table and and hash something out here uh but that's not going to happen and now um
the eu and and nato right are you know mulling over uh you know sending troops um there was a
story in the new york times published about um how uh nato and um and the united states have had
shadow troops in in the ukraine running all these shadow ops for the last 10 years.
That's a really interesting article.
If you haven't read that, please read it.
All of this is really bad.
And it just gives the Russians more ammunition for war.
So I'll just read this really quickly.
It says,
Several EU and NATO members are considering military deployments to Ukraine.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico claimed on Monday,
speaking ahead of a meeting of EU and NATO leaders in Paris on Monday
to debate collective Western strategy on Ukraine.
Fico cited a restricted document listing topics to be discussed
in Paris that sends shivers down your spine. These topics, he said, imply that a number of NATO and
EU member states are considering sending troops to Ukraine on a bilateral basis. I can't say for
what purpose or for what they would do there. According to FICO, the war in Ukraine is not going as expected.
This Paris meeting is confirmation that the Ukraine strategy of the West has completely failed, he said, without providing any details.
And it says, so they are mulling all of that over it would be insane because it just would ratchet up the war
but I think that they're in kind of a no-win situation and instead of saying you know what
stop there's enough is World War III worth it they're gonna say keep going keep going keep going
and you know it's just madness right
and before you know it we're probably in a full-blown war a nuclear war um just just insane
all right uh i'll end with a really crazy story and it's about the google um the google ai
and how you know because it's it's designed by pretty much uh you know liberal
woke people right it's designed by those people and instead of like uh giving realistic search
results it's giving all these search results that align with the liberal way of thinking about
things which does not align with reality i mean
when you use a search engine right you're expecting it just to pull things in and just give you facts
not the way they think the facts should be and what it's doing is it's it's it's it's messing up
uh you know like history and different things right you know um it's it's
not giving a true representation of the world and it's causing all kinds of problems and i think
that google is going to take a hit on this one so far they've been pretty invulnerable but i think
this was a major mistake and it says ex-owner elon musk commented on the dumpster fire that is google's gemini ai on sunday
noting that uh he had spoken to a senior google executive who claimed that it's being fixed
as we previously highlighted the latest ridiculous thing the ai has come out with
um uh you know let's see and it says uh must chimed in warning that given that the gemini ai will be
at the heart of every google product and youtube this is extremely alarming must also revealed
that a senior google executive have told him it would take a few months to fix adding adding previously he thought it would be faster
and it says my response to him was that i doubted that google google's woke bureaucratic blob would
allow him to fix it must continued unless those who cause this are exited from google nothing
will change except to make the bias less obvious and more pernicious. The ex-owner further warned.
And it says, you know, the AI can't really kind of tell right from wrong.
And it's really kind of acting up.
And, you know, and he made an interesting statement there.
You know, understanding that this AI system is going to be at the heart of Google searches and YouTube searches in the future.
And it's so, like, seriously bad that I think that, you know google they have a major problem and um you know uh yeah
they they need to fix that problem and maybe they need to just go from the the standpoint and build
it from a standpoint that that says okay just go in and collect information that people want and give them that information without adding in their own biases.
And that right there is a problem.
And that's why people don't trust the news anymore.
The MSM, they say to you, okay, you got to trust us.
You got to trust us.
You got to trust us.
And then you have something like this AI system that's just blowing up.
And when you put your search, you do your search, your search is in there and it's spitting
back all of this stuff that you know is just blatantly completely wrong or seriously troubling
on so many levels.
They've got a major dumpster fire that they've got to fix.
And I think that they're going to take a major hit from this.
Can you imagine this AI system,
like if you're Googling anything in politics
or you're Googling people that Google don't like,
it must be, what are you going to get on those folks?
Are you going to get the truth
or are you going to get what?
You're going to get the impressions
or the opinions of the Google people
because that's what we're getting now.
We're not necessarily getting the news.
We're getting their worldview, right?
So everything is tainted.
All these searches are tainted by their worldview.
You're not actually getting the raw, raw data that you need.
And that's going to cause them problems.
All right.
So we covered a lot of ground.
And I really hope that this wasn't too stressful.
But, you know, and this is what the strange truth usually does, where we look at all the news no one wants to.
And we analyze the news. I don't tell you what to think i i'll you know i give you the sources you can look up these sources
yourself um and you can do your own searches along around the internet okay we looked at you know
what's going on with food you know the war on food is continuing but the war on food is going to be
buried so don't be surprised if you're getting all these crazy stories about, you know, how food prices are
going down or how the economy is doing well, when you realize that you're actually spending more
every, every month, every week, food is costing more. So there's this, this, you know, there's this disjoint between what you're seeing and what you're doing and your experiences versus what the mainstream media is telling you is true.
So I always say, trust your own experiences versus the online platforms, right?
When you go to the store and if your food's costing you more,
that's your reality.
So if eggs prices are up, if rice prices are up,
and potato prices are up, and different things are up,
then you know that there is a problem out there that's not being addressed okay um i wonder how this outage affected you know the uh the cyber
attack i wonder if it affected evs i haven't seen any real articles about that but i mean a lot of
those cars are wired to the internet um so makes me wonder if there's a massive outage, then how would that affect all those millions of EVs that are out there now?
Right. Another another problem.
Another problem. OK, so I'm just going to leave it here.
Right. I really hope that you got something from this podcast.
As I said, we covered a lot of ground in a really short period of time. gonna leave it here right i really hope that you got something from this podcast as i said we
covered a lot of ground uh in a really short period of time uh we don't tell you what to think here
we just give you the news and let you run with it um you make up your own mind uh and you use the
the uh the material that we provide here to make your own plans uh these are serious times folks
the serious times require serious people.
And you have to make sure that you're doing what you need to do for your family. Because I think if you're listening to this, I think that you, I think we all are feeling that at some point
something's going to break. And when it breaks, it's going to be pretty bad and we're going to
have to deal with it. And a lot of people aren't aren't really like
you know uh they're not really paying attention really closely to what's going on okay so
listen to pbn this week if you like what you hear right then please uh you know
scroll through the uh scroll through the um the player and uh you know player and listen to the other shows that are available.
