Thank you for watching! Well, welcome. Welcome to The Strange Truth. I'm your host, Carl B. And this, you know, I feel like I've been gone such a long time. It's been two weeks, really. But what a two weeks it's been. You know, it all started off when my wife kind of decided that, okay, you know what, we're gonna, you know, you know what, we're going to do two more major family activities that we really hadn't planned for.

Because I think in the last podcast I made, I said, well, we were thinking about going to the state fair. We didn't do it. We ended up going to the state fair. So that was unplanned and then uh we went end up going uh spending a few days uh in lake placid which was not planned that threw everything off um and then uh and then we have like here as a family right you know the kids are back at school all that stuff is going on you know and on top of all of that uh we have um massive home repairs that are going on um for those of you who don't know i live in a log cabin and uh it's it's about 50 something years old really nice house it's a nice nice house small enough for the family and everything else. It's nothing extravagant or anything like that.

But log cabins require serious upkeep. And coming out of COVID, you know, we kind of had lagged behind a little bit on the upkeep. And, you know, we had somebody come out and take a professional look at it. And, yeah, there was a lot. There is a lot that needs to be done to it. Where we live is really, really rainy. And we have a lot of mist and just wet weather. And so it hasn't been kind to the house.

And so it hasn't been kind to the house, you know, more. There's a lot more going on than I can actually just do myself. You know, sometimes you do need your fellow man to help you out. So this week and this week and going into next week, there's going to be a lot of lot of you know kind of construction work going on in my home where we're ripping up the whole front porch my front porch is 40 feet long all that's going to be coming up and be all that wood is being replaced uh you know it's been 50 none of this has been fixed or anything really done you know nothing's really been done to much of this house for a really really long time so um you know it's the first time in 50 something years that you know the Porsche is being repaired so we're gonna rip out all the logs that aren't

really that great and we're gonna replace all that stuff uh and it's been pretty stressful had to take a break guys it's pretty stressful uh you know just working through all of this all the work that needs to be done um and trying to squeeze it all in you know before the weather changes it's been tricky um so that's what's been going on um you know so apart from work and all the kids' activities and all that stuff, that's what's been going on. And it's been busy. Let's put it that way. It's been crazy. It's been crazy at the Brown Homestead, right?

But a lot of things have been going on out there in the world. I'm not going to talk politics. I really believe that you vote your conscience when the time comes. And most people hearing this podcast, I'm sure, have decided how they're going to vote already. Most people have decided how they're going to vote. You know, when people say, well, I don't know how I'm going to vote this and that. I mean, you know, I don't really necessarily believe that, really. I think most people at this point know who they're going to vote for. And so I just say, listen, just go out and vote your conscience and just tune out.

You know, just tune out. I think it's good for your mental health, right? There's some people, they just live this stuff day in, day out. You know, they just troll the you know the different articles and you you see some you see all these people on facebook and other places and you know they're really like just losing it and and it's just like you know what none of these people are worth it you know uh we going to be the ones anyway, picking up the pieces. Do the best you can. Just vote your conscience.

You know, I didn't even watch the debate. You know, I didn't. I'm being honest. I didn't watch the debate. I was watching some other program on television. And the reason is, is I knew, right, that, you know, I understand the process. I know what's going to happen, right? And why put myself through any of that? It was just like, yeah, I'll just avoid it. I had a pretty good night, right? And it's like, you know, when the time comes, I'll just vote my

conscience and it is what it is. To me, there are more important things going on right now that I need to take care of. You know, my family really needs me and that's where I want my head to be, right? I want my head to be with my family and the things that we, you know, the important things that we need to do. So we i i have a or you know i have a i have some interesting things to really discuss today and most of it involves russia right um so this is like the russia update right you want to call it that and um there's three things really going to look at we're going to start off with russia um and how russia is changing its policy, its nuclear, revising its nuclear doctrine to counter the threat from the West, what that might mean to us. So we're going to take a look at a few quick look at some articles about that.

And then I kind of want to then we'll pivot over to you know this church that got burnt in france right not a day got burnt and then um there's been a few other churches being burnt right and and and of course that you know that is that's about the war on christianity right um you know the war on christianity and then we're going to look at why is Buffett selling off so much of his stocks what does he know that we probably need to right so so it would be quick um let's see I've got seven minutes on the clock right now right uh so uh we'll have a word from our sponsors and then we'll come back in and I'll try and hit uh these three topics you know in a you know in a quick manner right because I know your time is valuable um so we'll try to keep it to around 30 minutes i say that all the time and it never really happens but

All right. batten down the hatches right and yeah then you're prepared to do so all right so um the first story that i'm going to look at right um you know i said we're going to look at russia then we're going to look at the church burnings then we're going to look at why buffett is selling off

why buffett is selling off all of his shares you know like a lot of his shares right um what all this means to us uh let's see. Russia is updating nuclear weapon doctrine due to Western escalation of Ukraine war. And this is in Zero Hedge. And this is a very recent article published September 2nd. I've seen it on other platforms as well. But this is one of the things that it got published on some platforms and then it just disappeared. It disappeared because the world and the media wants you to concentrate on the things that they deem as important, which we all know is just pretty much garbage. is important, right? Which we all know is just pretty much garbage. But, you know, something as important as this just basically doesn't get any play, right? But it is important. And what all of

this means is, you know, because if you understand how the Russian government system works, it's pretty bureaucratic. For anything to get done, right, you need 15 pieces, 15 pieces of paper signed and this and that and everything else. Right. So it's a lot of red tape. OK, once things get, you know, they do have a system in place and they do look out for their citizenry. look out for their citizenry, that's for sure. But for something to get changed, there's a lot of consideration, so to speak, for it to go into effect.

There's a lot of channels that something like this had to float through before it made its way to the top. And here we are. And it's its way to the top. And here we are. And it's a signal to the rest of the world because the bureaucratic nature of these people, right? What I think happens here is even when they make war, it is bureaucratic, right? They'll put all these, uh you know like uh documentation in place about why they're making war and and how they're going to make the war and and everything

else and their justification for making the war and once all of that is done with then they make the war right that's how it works okay um so they they really uh kind of it's it's their way of showing their hand it's their way of telling you right what they're willing to put up with and for for many many years they had a nuclear doctrine in in place that hadn't changed for 30, 40, 50 years, maybe. And now, you know, because of what's going on, not only in Ukraine, but what's going on, right, is forcing them to change that doctrine. So let's take a look at the article and then we will do some further analysis. This is important.

It says here, In the latest worrisome saber rattling sparked by the U.S.-led proxy war in Ukraine, Russia announced it's revising its doctrine on the use of nuclear weapons, saying a change has been necessitated by escalation initiated by the country's Western adversaries. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Rybakov told TASS that the update was precipitated by an analysis of recent conflicts, including Western adversaries' escalation course in the Ukraine war. including Western adversaries, escalation course in the Ukraine war. The revision is in the advanced stage, but Rybakov said it was too early to project when it would be completed, given we are talking about the most important aspect of our national security. While there's been no indication of the specifics, any revision seems certain to lower the threshold for nuclear weapons use and increase the potential for a global conflagration.

Now, you see what I mean when I say, hey, you know, something to happen, they got to go through all these channels, right? You know, right. They got to go through all these channels, right? It says, per TASS, under current doctrine set forth in 2020, Russia may use nuclear weapons when an enemy uses a weapon of mass destruction against Russia or its allies. Two, Russia has confirmation of a nuclear launch against it or its allies. Two, Russia has confirmation of a nuclear launch against it or its allies. Three, an enemy attacks facilitates necessary for a response to a nuclear attack. Four, conventional warfare threatens the existence of the russian state so you know

number four there is interesting to me right um number four is interesting conventional warfare threatens the existence of the russian state that's a big deal because it what they're saying with that one is that, you know what, it doesn't take, you know, one country lobbying or using a nuclear weapon against us for us to, you know, initiate a nuclear exchange. If they're invaded by conventional means and the Russian state is threatened, then all bets are off the table, right? There is going to be a nuclear exchange and that's a very, very dangerous thing. And that's what, you know, NATO has been pushing for, right? And that's what, you know, NATO has been pushing for. Right. They figure that they can squeeze the Russian state. And eventually, just like with a lot, you know, like will happen in some countries over the world, the country will collapse. Unfortunately, that's not what's been happening. Right. You know, while Russia is not in the it's not in the spot, it was economically a decade ago before the war with Ukraine began.

to deal with and to counter Europe and the NATO alliance. So they've definitely worked their way around it to a certain extent to ensure that economically they're still viable. So this crazy strategy that a lot of the Western allies are adopting, it's really risky. We're playing a really dangerous cat and mouse game. being threatened, their statehood is being threatened, then they're going to definitely initiate a nuclear exchange. And the world is going to be a massive loser once that occurs. I think that, you know, I think the Ukrainians or Zelensky was saying, you know, him going into Kursk, and because the Russians hadn't really hit back in any forceful way at the time, at that time, because right now the Russian counteroffensive against Kursk is ongoing now. They've just really, you know, they've thrown a lot of people into the meat grinder, so to speak, in that area, you know. So he was saying, well, look look we've crossed this red line russia did nothing

right um and it shows that the russians were just bluffing that they will never use nuclear weapons and uh and it's a very very dangerous game that's the world we are in right now while you know uh a lot of americans are glued to their phones a lot of americans are glued to what this celebrity is saying or that celebrity is saying or you know they're they're just not dealing with reality but the reality that is out there and is pretty grim so So let's just continue with this. The last condition of the current doctrine is particularly noteworthy. Freddie Sayers, there's all sorts of talk in the West about defeating Russia inside Ukraine, wrecking its economy, causing regime change, and maybe even breaking up Russia. The way the Soviet Union was broken up, this is a country that has thousands of nuclear weapons.

If its survival is threatened, it's likely to use them. So we have this perverse paradox here that most people don't seem to realize, which is that the more successful NATO and Ukraine are against Russia, the more likely it is that the Russians will use nuclear weapons. Russia launched its so-called special military operation in Ukraine in February 2022, which stated goals of protecting people in the country's eastern regions who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Ukrainian government since 2014 and precluding Ukraine's joining the NATO military alliance. Over time, the West's backing of Ukraine has been characterized by a gradual escalation in which one previously ruled out ratcheting after another has been realized. That's true, right? Remember when the war started, you know, hey, we're not going to use this or we're not going to allow Ukraine to do this.

the war wasn't going the way they had hoped, then they change and they keep changing and they keep giving Ukraine more stuff to, you know, strike deeper and deeper into Russian territory. And, you know, so and the more the Russians, you know, grind this war out, the and of course, and NATO, right? You know, they're losing their grip. They're losing the war. The longer this goes on, the more desperate the NATO alliance is going to get. And what's going to be that red line, right? What are they going to blow up?

What are they going to hit that's going to cause the Russians to say, okay, enough's enough. We're done right and it says here um these this ratcheting up right has included the provision of increasingly sophisticated weapons and longer range weapons and a relaxing of u.S. restrictions against striking targets inside Russia. Now, imagine if a country was striking targets inside England or inside the United States. Like, you know, imagine like a drone swarm, right? You know, like damaging certain parts of the American infrastructure. That would just be that, you know, it would be crazy.

But that's the reality of other countries around the world. That's what's going on in Israel right now. And the countries that Israel are fighting. Right. And it's also what's going on, you know, in between Ukraine and Russia. Right. You know, we here in this country don't really we because it's never happened here right we don't we you know it's really difficult for a

lot of americans to kind of understand what that reality means but can you imagine if the russians just decide hey you know what how about you, every time you send a missile into our territory and we know that you're the one that did it, then we'll send a missile into your territory as well. Tit for tat. Then what? We're going to declare a war on the Russians, you know what I mean? Then what?

Where does this go? Where does this all go? Okay. Let's see. On August 6th, Ukraine surprised the world with an invasion of the Russian territory of Kursk, which in World War II was the site of the largest tank battle in history and a pivotal victory over the German army. Given the history, the presence of Western-backed invaders in the territory is far more provocative

than most people realize, and Ukrainian soldiers' attire and conduct compounds the psychological impact. In late August, Russian President Volodymyr Zelensky displayed an arrogant contempt for the notion that his Western-armed, Western-financed military should have to operate with Western-imposed restrictions. We are witnessing a significant ideological shift, the naive, illusory concept of so-called red lines regarding Russia, which dominated the assessment of the war by some partners that's crumbled apart these days, right? So that's what Zelensky said. Russia's ongoing nuclear doctrine change was foreshadowed in June by President Vladimir Putin at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The nuclear doctrine is a living instrument and we are closely watching what is happening

in the world around us. We do not rule out making some changes to this doctrine, he said. In the same month, Russia announced that its army and navy were conducting tactical nuclear weapon drills in a military district bordering NATO members Norway, Finland, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Russia has approximately 5,500 nuclear warheads with a diversified set of delivery systems from heavy bombers to land-based and submarine-launched missiles. According to a detailed March 2024 assessment published by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, Russia is nearing the completion of a decades-long effort to replace all of its strategic and non-strategic nuclear-capable systems with newer versions, the study's authors noted.

Russia's arsenal should give Western policymakers pause, said Mersheimer. Most of my realist friends and I fully appreciate you have to you have to be extremely careful when you're dealing with a rival great power that is armed to the teeth with nuclear weapons that are aimed at you and that you cannot and that you cannot bat that great power into a corner. You cannot put it into a situation where it's desperate. You cannot threaten its survival. Because in those circumstances, there is a reasonable chance that they'll use nuclear weapons. Right? And it ends, it says, To the world's enormous peril, the U.S. national security establishment isn't led by realists, but by reckless, blundering interventionists.

And that is true. I think that, you know, we're stumbling into a hot war, you know, with with nuclear armed people. with nuclear-armed people, and it's not good for us. Okay? You know, you've heard it here on Showing Truth many times, and I've said this many times, right, that the United States is not mentioned in end-time prophecy. And why is that? Okay?

Why is that? You know, so, okay. So, they're changing their doctrine, right? And, you know, there's this other article that, you know, where it says Biden is working out letting Ukraine hit Russia with U.S. long-range missiles. So, you know, Biden, who isn't all there, right, is, you know, we have a president who isn't all there playing is is you know we have a president who's all who's isn't all there playing with fire here right and um there is another article that says if russia takes provost the rest of eastern ukraine will fall and and this has been a really big story that's not being reported anywhere really um that the russia the russians are about to take this um this key city right this key area and if that occurs then it's a big swatch of territory and they just

launched a counter offensive into kursk so they'll take back kursk right And Ukraine, they're just losing more and more territory the longer this war goes on, right? They're losing more territory. They're losing more manpower. So shouldn't we be at the discussion table now to try and end this? I think we should. But there's not much that regular people

can do about the situation. Unfortunately, the world is being run by crazy, crazy individuals. We're going to switch gears now. I'm going to switch gears to the war on Christianity, right? Because there is a war all over the globe going on in christianity right um you know the christian persecution is ramping up okay um the world is changing and uh and becoming a christian is becoming more and more uh uh you know it's becoming more and more um you know i wouldn't want i don, I wouldn't necessarily use the word dangerous at this point, but it's becoming more and more difficult to maintain a Christian value system in this world, right? In this world that we live in. And this story caught my eye, right?

And I'll just read a little bit of it here this is from the gateway pundit and it says the church of the immaculate conception in saint omer also known as the church of the hot pont went up in flames on sunday night the church was inaugurated in 1859 it was restored and reopened in 2018 think about that it was restored and reopened in 2018 the church was known for its neo-gothic furnishings the origin of the fire is not known at this time the fire broke out at what 4 a.m in the morning the bell tower collapsed in the inferno and it says um no injuries were reported according to the Passe de Calais Prefecture, which specifies

that around 50 local residents living near the building were evacuated as a precaution. Churches have been going up in flames in France. A study in 2021 reported that there were 752 attacks on christian places of worship and christian cemeteries in france that year it's a lot what's going on and you know uh there was that story, right, of that pastor who somebody shot at him and shot at his family, right? It's crazy. We have all these crazy stories of Christians being attacked and stuff happening right now.

Sooner or later, I think Christianity, just like how it began, is going to be forced on the ground. I think that there is a really large possibility here, solid possibility that at some point it's not going to be tenable, right, to be a Christian in public. We've enjoyed, you know, freedom of religion in this country for a long time, and it's never something that we've ever had to really necessarily deal with, but you can see the writing is on the wall, right? The writing is definitely on the wall

and is something to keep an eye on. And I'm sure that I'm going to be revisiting this particular subject. Okay, the last thing that I'm going to just touch on here is why is Warren Buffett selling off hundreds of millions of shares? Right. And this is this has been published in the most important news. And I just read a little bit of this here says Warren Buffett did not become a billionaire by being stupid. According to Forbes, Buffett Buffett's worth more than one hundred and forty four billion dollars.

And that makes him one of the wealthiest men in the entire world. He made his money in the stock market, and so why is he now pulling money out of the stock market at a feverish pace? Does he anticipate that a crash is coming? Earlier this year, Buffett shocked the investing community when his company sold off half the Apple shares that it was holding. It is being reported that close to 500 million shares were sold during the first and second quarters combined. combined more recently Berkshire Hathaway has been selling off Bank of America shares right Buffett moves look quite savvy based on what's been happening so far this month right says a zero noted, the report told us that the U.S. lost a whopping 438,000 full-time jobs last month. Wow. Right.

And they say, if you want a low-paying part-time job, it is still fairly easy to find one, but good-paying jobs have been rapidly disappearing. The president of a firm that finds positions for white-collar workers says that the market is in bad shape at this moment. Okay. So, it says here, there are so many people that are looking for work right now. For many Americans, low-paying part-time jobs just won't suffice because the cost of living just continues to go up. Thanks to the rising cost of living, the percentage of U.S. householders with children that are food insecure

has risen to a very alarming level. And it says here now the inflation crisis under the biden had biden harris administration has intensified this issue even more it was especially it was especially families with children that suffered during the covid. As school lunches disappeared. And they have been hardest hit again. In 2022 and 2023. It says here. As the sister. Katharina Buchholz reports.

The USDA just published. Its latest report on the issue. And it says here. Showing that last year. Almost 18% of households. Where children lived. were food insecure, up from 17.3% in 2022 and 12.5% in 2021. In a lot of those households, at least one adult is actually working. In many cases, there simply is not enough money coming in to cover the basics.

So there's a lot of stuff going on with the economy right now. It says, now tens of millions of u.s households are deeply hurting and much more pain is on the horizon warren buffett is clearly concerned about the about the short-term future he has been dumping hundreds of millions of shares and it appears that this could end up being one of the best moves of his entire career you know um you gotta follow the money right you know follow the money and right now you know uh you should be you should be trying to become more financially uh secure what uh which means that um you know low credit card bills right um you know make sure that your your home is paid up, paid for, right?

You know, try and like, I'm trying to get as many things done now as I possibly can while there's still time. Because if an economic collapse comes, then it'll be just too late. Right? You know, you've got to diversify your portfolio. Right? leg right um you know you've got to diversify your portfolio right you know have have some cash on hand in case you wake up tomorrow and the atm machines are not working right so yeah you know how does this all affect us well if we keep playing chicken with the russians and they lot and they decide enough is enough and we end up in a nuclear war with them, how prepared are you to deal with that reality?

We talked about Christians being persecuted. A lot of people listening to this podcast now are Christians. And when you can lose your job or when you get locked out of certain uh services because of your religion right uh when when when you know when you become a social para because of your religion right because of your faith you know are you are you ready to navigate that world because it really does seem that that world is on the horizon. How prepared are you to deal with that?

How prepared are you to deal with a stock market crash if you woke up tomorrow and those ATMs aren't working? Do you have enough food set by to get you through an extended period of time of uncertainty with you and your family? Do you know where and how to find the basic things you're going to need for your survival? Because if the answer to that is no, then you've got some work to do. Okay? So I'm going to end it here. Right?
