Thank you for watching! Well, welcome to another episode of The Strange Truth.
I'm your host, Carl B., and I want to say, you know, Happy New Year to everyone.
I'm your host, Carl B., and I want to say, you know, Happy New Year to everyone.
It's been a busy time, right? You know, I think that one of the cool things that happens here, you know, on PBN is that all of these podcasts, Strange Truth, whatever you might listen to, you realize that it's just regular people.
And I think that there's a connection there that, you know, most folks can make to the
podcasters here on PBN. You know, problems that everybody go through, we experience, right?
You know, I got home, when was it? Last week. And just as I was pulling in, my wife was pulling in. And, uh, and just as I got out the car, you know, she got out of the car, the kids got out of the car and she said, Hey, you know, uh, my son's sick, you know, um, and it was, it was just one of those things where all the plans that I had for that evening just went right out the window because she works from home.
So she basically just went and got the kids and she was pretty much coming back to work as I was getting in.
So then, of course, it was just like, yeah, okay, I'll take care of my son.
He wasn't well. He'll take care of my son. He wasn't, you know, he wasn't well,
you know, he was vomiting and stuff like that. You know, he was puking into a bucket.
But, you know, the young, they rebound really fast and he got, you know, he got well quickly.
Like, let's see, that was Thursday night. He didn't go to school Friday.
Friday when I got home, he was feeling better and by Saturday was feeling better.
But I think that the virus moved from the intestines upward.
You know, it was one of those things where it seemed like it migrated upwards to his nasal passages and stuff.
it migrated upwards to his nasal passages and stuff.
So, you know, he was still dealing with some vestiges of the illness over the weekend.
But, you know, he's going to be a lot better.
So it's just one of those things, right? And that's why I didn't do a podcast.
James was good enough to run a replay that I probably did maybe two years ago, two, three years ago.
It's amazing how long I've actually been doing this now.
You know, it's been a while.
But so that's what's going on, you know.
But apart from that, it's been good.
You know, he went back to
school i think he went back on a wednesday and by the thursday he was sick so you know it wasn't
anything that he picked up at home whatever it was it was really quick um that he got and uh you
know that's just the way it goes right but as i as I said, you know, one of the things about PBN is that we're not aloof.
You know, you know, we are just regular people.
And, you know, some of the all the you know, a lot of the concerns that we have.
That's why we make this connection with our audience.
Right.
A lot of these concerns are the concerns that you guys have as well.
concerns are the concerns that you guys have as well. So, you know, one of the concerns for 2024 and 2024 is off and running, isn't it? 2024, I, you know, I still believe in my top threat,
right? You remember that show I did, Top Threats for 2024. And I'll read you my list again in order, right? So let's see how we're doing here.
Number 10, right?
Because I listed 10 things.
Number 10 was an AI takeover.
Very, very remote.
Not really even serious about that.
Number 9 was an EMP, like some kind of EMP attack.
I still think that's, you know, it's possible, but it's pretty remote. Number eight
was the electric grid collapse, you know, collapse of the electric grid. I do think that that is a
possibility. Number seven on my list was an attack on our critical infrastructure, you know, the water, the food supply, the supply chain, that kind of thing.
I think that that was, you know, that was credible.
Number six was a world conflict and a fallout from our involvement. And that here we're moving into things
that are way more on the scale of probability, right?
Right now, we have the war in Ukraine going on
and, of course, the war in the Middle East.
And then, of course, who knows when the Chinese
are going to decide they want to take Taiwan.
And, you know, we're going to be involved
and we are involved in all those conflicts
and let's just hope that those conflicts don't spiral out of control because then we get dragged
into a deeper more serious engagement and of course that is going to expose us to a lot of, you know, unpleasant things.
Let's see.
Number five on my list that I had given you was a cyber attack crippling an important critical system in our country that will really affect the way we function.
Right. It's enough to, you know, affect the way we function during our day-to-day lives.
And there was, of course, that movie,
and Dave Jones talked about, you know,
the movie as well, right?
The one that was released on Netflix
by the Obamas, right?
About a cyber attack.
I think it was a cyber attack that took down,
you know, pretty much the grid.
Right.
And so that's, you know, that's something that's playing itself out in the mainstream media right now as something credible that could possibly happen.
Number four on my list was a new pandemic.
I think that that's highly possible.
Number three on my list was an economic collapse with all the banks that were collapsing last year.
And with the economy the way it is right now, I think that that is a distinct possibility.
Number two was a terrorist attack.
And now we're moving into the high probability area, right?
Some massive terrorist attack on the U.S. soil that will really, you know, damage, you know, something critical or cause significant damage that will make the country, you know, that will damage the way we do business
and function in our country.
With what's going on at the border right now and the uncontrolled border surges that are
happening right now and people not being vetted coming in, that is a distinct possibility.
And that's the thing, you know, some people try to play that as some kind
of racial thing, but it's really not, you know, I think it's a dereliction of duty, right? Or it's a
serious, you know, it's a serious thing when we're not vetting the people coming in properly,
making sure that, you know, they're safe, making sure that they're here to contribute to our economy in a positive way,
in our way of life in a positive way.
Nothing against immigrants, right?
I'm an immigrant myself, but I came here through legal means.
And it was a long, long process to do that.
So let's see. Number one is the election meltdown, right? And we're
seeing that now. Who knows if Mr. Trump is actually going to make it to the election,
right, with all the things that's going to get thrown at him. And, you know, Biden is going to make it with all his, you know, health problems and his, you know, his, you know, other problems, you know, with his son and with his business dealings.
And it's going to get really nasty.
And I think that while it's important for us to vote, I think that it is important for us to not put our faith in men, right? You know,
because all these people are very fallible. And although with one party, you know, one party,
you kind of get the laws and the rules that I think if you're conservative, you, you know,
I think if you're conservative, you, you know, you, you, you tend to, you tend to prefer, right? I think that we, we have to kind of vote for the rules and the principles and the morals that we want in the country versus voting, voting for the person. Because a lot of these folks, when you find out,
are not really good people.
And I think that it's, don't put your faith in man.
Put your faith in God where it belongs.
So I think that that is going to be a problem this year. The election is top of my list of issues because there's just going to be so much nastiness coming.
There's going to be a lot of blowback, a lot of fallout from the election process.
the election process. You know, you have, you know, one party or another party trying to disqualify opponents from running. You have all these different scandals that are breaking right
now, you know, that could disqualify, you know, candidates from running. You know, it's a death match is what it is.
It used to be where folks would run for office.
And yeah, it would get nasty sometimes.
But in the end, it was just, it was more or less, you know, what is,
I have not heard a single real like debate or speech from any of these folks
about what they would do to make the country
better. Not a single one. It would be nice if they had like a 10 point list of things they would do,
something that they would publish online. Here, here's my plan. If you vote for me,
this is what you're going to get. Here's the other person, right? If you vote for them,
that's what you're going to get. It would be really person, right? If you vote for them, that's what you're going to get.
It would be really nice that we would have some kind of clear-cut, you know, list, right? Where,
you know, and the candidates would go, and the different parties would go and talk about what's on that list, you know, and why they believe that those policies are the best for the country.
We haven't really heard much of any of that.
What we've heard is a lot of attacks on people, ad hominem attacks, you know, and, you know, scandals and everything else.
It's pretty bad, folks.
and everything else, it's pretty bad, folks.
And I think it's going to get worse as we get closer to the election date.
And I think that we all need to just be prepared for the fallout,
be prepared for really bad things that can happen in our communities because of, you know,
the sad state of our politics, right, where we can't agree to disagree anymore.
It's a death match is what it is.
Folks, they're playing for keeps, right, and we have to deal with all the blowback. So be prepared.
Be prepared for, you know, riots.
Be prepared for loss of power in your neighborhood.
Be prepared for a real breakdown in law and order.
You know, this is the time where you have to be careful
what you post online on your social media
because people are going to get really caught up
and, you know, in the whole process.
It's really sad, really, to watch it happen.
And we saw it in the last election where people get really emotionally, you know, entangled with, you know, this candidate or that candidate
or with this political party or that political party.
And they cause, and a lot of these folks cause a lot of problems and issues for other people.
And, you know, I think that the bottom line that we have to understand is that
none of these folks really care about the average, you know, the average American, right?
Does Donald Trump or Mr. Biden or whomever that will be running here in a few months,
do any of these people really care about the common man?
You and me, do they really care about us?
Or is this some notch on their belt?
Or is this them kind of like protecting themselves
by attaining these high offices, right?
Because what?
You become president, you probably, you should have immunity from certain crimes, right?
You become president, right?
Then you have a lot of power, and for the most part, and there is a lot of money involved
in that whole process, right?
So all of these folks do get richer.
Their families get richer.
They become more powerful.
And, you know, they are little princes.
They are little princes.
But when you look at the state of our country today with the crime, right, you look at the
crime, you look at, you know, just people's morals, ethics, the way we deal with each other, the way we speak to each other, you know, what's going on in every public institution in our country and just how far we've fallen from civility, from the truth.
You know, we're in trouble.
You know, I was having a conversation with someone the other day,
and we were talking about how people seem to truly become themselves.
You know, people can hide, really hide.
They can become clever at hiding, really, their true intentions, their true selves from folks.
But it really does seem like in the end, right, people become themselves, right?
You know, you take a 70-year-old, an 80-year-old man, right, you know, somebody in their 60s, right? You know, you take a 70 year old, an 80 year old man, right? You know, somebody
in their 60s, right? You know, eventually, the person just becomes themselves. You know, and
it's amazing how that all works out. And I think that if you are a good person, then you become that person um uh if you are someone who is not a good person then then
then you become that person in the end no matter how hard you try to hide it and some people are
really good at hiding it some people get away with it most of their lives but in the end, they still become the person that they are. And that is the same for countries.
You know, the country becomes what it truly is, right?
And America will become, the United States of America,
we will become truly what we are.
And if the majority of the people in this country are immoral, if we become
more and more secular and non-Christian, we leave all those Christian values behind, then
we will become pretty much that entity.
It's really amazing to me how many folks are trying to get away from Christian values,
like in this country, all over the West, what we would consider the developed countries.
Being a Christian now is something that you kind of have to keep on the wraps for.
You know, you can't really, you know, be out.
You know, you can't really be vocal in a lot of circles with your beliefs.
Right. We haven't gotten to the point where we're well, in some ways we're being openly prosecuted for having Christian beliefs.
Right. But, you know, it's really amazing to me, right, that as we drift further and further away from Christian values,
a lot of folks really believe that becoming less Christian will make them more free.
Right?
Because they figure, okay, if I want to live this lifestyle, then I can't be a Christian
because being a Christian prevents me from, you know, being this person, the person that
I want to be.
So, they reject the Christian lifestyle because they believe that then that they're actually
embracing freedom when they're actually embracing slavery, right?
Because leaving behind Christian values,
a lot of folks believe that you don't need
Christian morals and ethics
to be an ethical person.
Right?
And that is a huge mistake.
A huge mistake.
A huge error in judgment.
Because if you're talking about good you know what it means to be good what it means to be
ethical okay there's no way you can really be an ethical and a good person
without having basic Christian fundamental values.
Doesn't work.
No matter what other religion you might be or whatever it is, right?
You really basically need basic fundamental Christian values of right, wrong, good, and evil.
In its basis forms.
You need to be able to differentiate
between right and wrong,
what's ethical, what's unethical.
And the only real way to have that
is by having Christian beliefs.
It's really amazing how all of that works.
And as we drift away from those values,
as we move away from those ethical anchors,
right, towards a more secular,
towards a more universalistic kind of, you know, you know, truth relativism.
Right. You know, your truth is for you and my truth is for me and we should all be able to get along.
The problem is, is that for some people, their truth is like, OK, you know, I want what you have.
So let me go take it. That's their truth.
Right.
You know, their truth might be, hey, you know, I don't see anything wrong with, you know, cutting this unethical business deal here because who's it going to hurt?
Right.
I don't you know, there are some people who say, well, you know, I don't see, you know,
I've heard people say, I don't see what's wrong to shoplift.
Because in their minds, they're just taking something from like a store or whatever, right?
And they're saying, well, these people, you know, the people that run the store, you know,
have a lot of money.
So what does it hurt? Blah, blah, blah. Right. But yeah, stealing is wrong. Right. Stealing does cost. There is a cost to that, not only spiritually, but there is a cost, you know, in terms of,
you know, economically as well. But, you know, we will become, we will become, right, the people that we profess ourselves to be.
You know, I think that, I've heard a lot of Christian apologists say,
the saving grace for America has always been the true Christians that are praying every day for the country,
praying every day, right?
But, you know, at some point, right, at some point, that is not necessarily going to have the effect that it's had in the past.
And eventually, right, then, you know, everything must face judgment, right? The
United States, you know, if you do the crime, you got to do the time, right? There's a consequences
for, you know, unethical, immoral acts. And when you look at the state of our country today with the crime, the murders, and people who are just like the white-collar crime, right?
Folks who are, they'll cheat in business.
When you look at our politicians and just how dirty the majority of them are.
Right.
You know, if you're listening to my voice right now, you probably know someone or a group of people.
You can probably count off on your fingers a group of people that you know who probably are not ethical people.
Not ethical people, not ethical people. And in so doing, right,
and in so doing, right, you know, when a lot of people become less and less ethical, then,
you know, we're heading for trouble. You can see it manifesting itself in our political system.
it manifesting itself in our political system you see it manifesting ourselves in in our banking system you see where no one is really doing the jobs they're
supposed to be doing you see it manifesting itself in every single
institution in our country where you know we're not doing things fairly, we're not doing things ethically.
And we will become.
The country that we profess to be right, you know, and the question that I have to always ask, you know, folks who really want this secularism, right? They really want this cultural relativism, right?
This truth relativism.
They want that to be the norm.
For these folks, I really wonder if they really understand, if they really understand the consequences, right, of those choices.
of those choices.
We're beginning to see a lot of that now.
The shoplifting and the crime and just the hopelessness that's out there.
When folks aren't getting married anymore,
when the family structure is being destroyed, when
parents aren't teaching their children the fundamentals about right and wrong and what
it really means to be a productive citizen and how to really get along with other people
and how to really respect
other people, right?
You know, love thy neighbor, you know.
You know, then, you know, we're going to have a problem and we are having a problem right
now.
It's just amazing to me, right? I was going to talk about, you know,
the food demonstrations that's going on in Germany. I was going to discuss, you know,
these booming sounds, right, that we've been hearing across the country, right? You know,
because this is the strange truth. And sometimes we do get a little strange on the strange truth right you
know we have to talk about these loud booms that have been heard all over the country right uh we
we had one here in new york uh about a week ago um that they're they're they're saying it was a
meteor they're they're they're saying it must have been a meteor, you know, that sonic boom.
I know that there was one in Virginia the other day that was heard, you know, across the Midwest probably about two, three weeks ago.
But, you know, I am a spiritual person.
And I do believe that, you know, God speaks to us in spiritual ways.
He sends all these little red flags.
And a lot of times
we choose to ignore those red flags.
We choose to ignore the red flags.
And in our country, we have a lot of red flags, right?
And in our country, we have a lot of red flags going off,
a lot of red flags going off.
We see the uncontrolled migration coming through, right,
which is fundamentally changing our country.
And that's not a racial thing, right?
We have, you know, that is pretty much a dereliction of duty thing, where the folks that are supposed to be making sure that, you know, that is being done, you know,
in the proper ways is that's not happening, right? It's been politicized. And when something when
things become politicized, they never get done correctly, right?
Then we lose the integrity, right?
And that's what's happening with our border right now.
And it's going to cause us problems.
When you look at our electoral system, right, where a lot of people don't believe in that system anymore, that's going to cause us problems.
that's going to cause us problems when you look in our banking system right now right uh where uh the you know we've been talking on pbn right for what two years that we were or
we still are in a recession that the recession that no one acknowledged, no mainstream media outlet really acknowledged that we were in a recession.
When it was clear, when we met, we met every benchmark.
We hit every single qualification of what a recession was.
And then they just threw all those quals out.
You know, things that we've been using
to say we're in a recession since what the 1960s so yeah if this happens and this happens that
happens then we're in a recession we threw all of that out when biden came into when biden
assumed office because of course you know they had to Right. So folks have lost their jobs. The economy has been tight. We've had the food inflation. We've had the massive inflation. Right. And folks have been struggling for the last, you know, pretty much four or five years. People have been really, really struggling trying to make ends meet. But of course, if you listen to the Democrats, if you listen to the most of the mainstream media, right. Hey, you know, things are things are things are good if you listen to the most of the mainstream media, hey, things are
good if you listen to them.
So,
they lie and they never really
tell you the truth.
So we can't trust
the media, we can't trust
the institutions that are
supposed to, that we're
traditionally have or the institutions that are supposed to, that we're, you know, traditionally that, you know,
have really watched out for the welfare of the country.
All of that is pretty much gone.
And what does that mean for us now in 2024?
And I'll go back to that idea, that central idea that I've been discussing here, which is
you become who you are. If you are an immoral individual, and even if you've been hiding it
most of your life, right, at some point, you will become that person. At some point, you know,
you will reap the consequences of being that person.
You cannot hide that.
You cannot hide who you are. values, right, and go towards more of, you know, kind of an agnostic, you know, egalitarianism,
we are, you know, we will become that country.
Are we really ready for it?
When, you know, are we really ready for where, you know, a really ready for a country where anything really goes?
Are we ready for that?
Are we ready for a country where crime is not really prosecuted?
Not fully, right?
Right. Are we ready for a country where, you know, pretty much the electoral system is more like a third world underdeveloped country system where it's more of a dictatorship where you have one party in power and they just crush the other party or crush any other dissenting voices because they believe that they are right and that's the danger that a lot of uh democrats and even some republicans
are running right now with with their beliefs and their rhetoric right you have to agree to disagree and debate. Right? You have to show why your
point of view is better than the other guy's point of view. Right?
Or gal's point of view. Right? You have to show why
your point of view is better than the other person. And you have to be able to do so
in a civil way. Not demean your
opponent. Right? Not your opponent, right?
Not completely like,
you know,
not to harm your opponent in any way, right?
But just to show
the validity of your opinions,
the validity of your arguments.
We're not doing that.
You know,
we're getting away
from that right now
where we have one group who believes that their way is the right way for the future.
We have another group who believes that their way is the right way for the future.
And there's no compromise.
And hence, we're having all the problems we're having now.
Our country is being run by seriously sick and immoral people. Why do we let these people into office? Why do we support these people? You know, we see so many people right now that would that really, really believe in the man. Right. They believe in the man. They believe if you're if you are a trump supporter the senate supporter they believe
in the man if you're a biden supporter or whomever on the other side they believe in that person
right and and it's not about personal integrity it's not about what's your plan let me see your
10-point plan how this is going to make the country better and more free and more secure. It's not about that.
It's about, I feel that you should think the way I do.
And it's not about making sure that the government is going to be doing its job.
Right? I'm really sorry that I'm going on and doing its job. Right?
I'm really sorry that I'm going on and on about this.
As I said, this was not necessarily what I planned,
but this is just happening.
This is just happening here.
But are we ready for a country that has abandoned its founding fathers' values,
that has abandoned all of that for the new stuff?
Are we ready for a country where your truth is your truth
and anything goes?
Are we ready for that?
thing goes are we ready for that okay you know um look at the damages that we've suffered so far as to you know families you know um uh you know are we really more free now you know or have we taken a step back all really good thoughts here
right but this is where I'm gonna end it and I am gonna play you know I really
kind of I am gonna play some ads right but as said uh this it's really this just kind of struck me and you know
i i watched i watched someone go through something where you know they became the person
that they were and it had bad consequences for them for many many years this individual
what behaved in a certain way they were they were like ethically uh you know or morally flexible
let's put it that way you know and they they hold their their lives you know throughout their lives
right 30 odd years 40 odd years you know they they, they conducted themselves in this way.
And of course, what did they say?
It came home to roost.
The hens came home to roost.
The consequences came home to roost.
And to watch that individual deal with that was really instructive.
For me, it was instructive.
It was instructive for all the folks that witnessed that.
But you become the person, right?
You become the person you are,
no matter how much you try and hide it.
You know, and that's one of the things, too.
When you see how God treats sin and punishes sin, when you realize is that he gives you the thing that he gives you more and more of the sin.
If you don't say, OK, this is wrong, then he gives you more of it.
And then eventually it becomes unsustainable.
Right. That's what happened to, you know, old Israel, right? Before they got
conquered and wiped out and destroyed. That, you know, when you look at most of the people
in the Bible who were bad people, if you notice what happened to them, right? What he did was
those people were sinners, blasphemers, right? They were bad people, and they never owned their, they never owned, you know, what they were doing.
They never said, okay, you know what, this is not good.
Let me stop, right?
And they never owned it.
And they just kept on doing, you on doing all those really bad evil things.
Eventually, those bad evil things were what did them in.
The sins did them in.
It's amazing how that works.
The question that I got to ask here before we leave is,
is the country's sins, is our sins going to do us in?
Right? When you quantify all those really bad things that we've been doing in this country,
you know, are those things going to be the thing that do us in?
things going to be the thing that do us in? Believe it or not, not doing your job is a sin,
right? Because it's almost like a contract. If you take a job, you say, okay, this is what I'm being hired to do, and you're taking money for it, right? And you made a certain pledge saying,
okay, I am going to be doing this job.
And if you don't do that job to the best of your ability, then it is a sin.
Right?
And we have a lot of people in this country who are not doing the things that they have promised others that they wanted to do.
And I think, you know, we are going to.
I think that we're going, you know, the you know, the the problems are coming home here and we're going to be dealing with a lot of those problems in 2024.
All right.
I'm going to call it a night here.
Right?
I didn't want to be this dark.
I really didn't.
I did have some other stuff to talk about,
but, you know,
I'll save all of this other stuff
for another podcast.
I did have some other things to talk about,
but I think that it's an interesting idea
as we travel as we go you
know as we you know travel into this year as we forge ahead into the year right i think that you
know one of the fundamental things that we're going to notice as we uh you know as things unfold
this year is is that a lot of a lot of our problems are self-inflicted.
A lot of our problems stem from the fact that, you know,
from the immorality, from the lack of ethics that we're having in this country, right?
And it is all going to come home to roost, right? You know, lack of ethics and morality, right? And it is all going to come home to roost, right?
You know, lack of ethics and morality, right?
That's crime.
That's everything else, right?
It's just spirals.
Okay?
Okay.
So this is what I'm going to,
I'm just going to call it a night here.
There's going to be a lot of really good programs
on PBN this weekend.
