pbn family it's time
for the proper tip on the day
hello everyone out there in internet
radio land this is Dave Jones the NBC guy
and I got a tip I know I've shared this before
but if you haven't been listening to
butchering episodes or things like that
you may not have come across it
so I just thought I'd repeat this
and that is
have a
pruning shears, pruning scissors, the big two feet long, you know, that cut branches.
I mean, it's stainless steel, it cuts branches so you can use it to process rabbits, anything.
You can use it to process deer because it cuts the bones and you don't mess up your knife.
So just keep it, keep one of these.
They're probably on clearance right now.
I think I got my last one for $13.
And man, it is worth $13 to be able to do that.
And save the edge on your knife for something else.
You know, and if you have to, you know, for something bigger,
a hatchet.
A hatchet.
Yes.
because sometimes we feed our dogs,
pig heads, and I hatchet them in half
and then cut all the meat and everything off the ears.
You know, we just processed, I think it was 18 rabbits.
And this is right now, we're doing, we finished.
And how great that was to have those pruning shears
to cut the necks and the legs,
and the legs, the, you know, the heads.
The heads we also give to the dogs, the street, and the legs, and the tails.
We save the liver, the kidneys, and the heart for the dogs.
That's all great protein, and there you go.
That is my tip for the day.
Pruning scissors.
Pruning, yeah, scissors.
Take care and prep on.
