Starting point is 00:00:00 BBN Family, it's time for the Prepper Tip of the Day. Hello everyone out there in Internet Radio Land, this is Dave Jones, the NBC guy, coming with you with your Prepper Tip of the Day, and it is sleep. Sleep. Yeah. Sleep is vitally important. Sleep is vitally important. It's the single best thing you can do to boost your immune system is sleep.
Starting point is 00:00:39 And in an SHTF situation, you'll be under more stress than you can imagine. That's the reason I chuckle, okay? When I was in the military, I did not get a lot of sleep. And the thing about sleep is, if you lose 24 hours of sleep, 50% of your mental faculties are impaired. So if you're the person that's making key decisions for your operation, do you want that person to be without 50% of their mental capacity? No. 50% of mine is, you know, 10% of most people. So you want them to have sleep. Now you can break it up into two four-hour increments.
Starting point is 00:01:32 It's not as good, but it's still quality sleep. And that's another thing, quantity versus quality. You need to be safe and secure in your sleep. If you're trying to do guard watch and take a quick nap or something like that, that's not going to work. On the other hand, if you lose 24 hours of sleep, if you go without sleep for 24 hours,
Starting point is 00:02:00 you only lose 10% of your physical capabilities. So you could do physical work longer than you can do mental work. So that should be factored into your prepper plan. Sleep, vitally important for every member of your crew and super important for the person making life and death situation decisions. That's my prepper tip for the day. Sleep, very important.
