Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello everyone out there in the late radio land. This is Dave Jones, the NBC guy. I'm trying to take an earplug out of my ear. Long story. But you got a free prepper tip. You got an extra. Extra. The emergency fund one, I posted that like instantly.
Starting point is 00:00:34 And I wanted it to come out on September 10th. Okay. So hopefully, let's see. This one will come out on September 11th. So here we go. Here we go. We talked about emergency fund. Okay, now we're going to talk about bartering stuff.
Starting point is 00:00:57 What do you have to trade? And here's the tip. You need to have something to trade that you make more of. Yeah. It's not something you stockpile. Do you understand? It's something that you create that is rare. You know, we have salt. We have hundreds of pounds of salt. But we're not trading it.
Starting point is 00:01:25 We're keeping it for ourselves. Think about all the things that are barterable in SHTF. You can't make more silver. You can't make more salt unless you're sitting on top of a natural salt deposit. You know like a dry lake bed or something like that. So it has to be something that you create. You know whether it's food. If you can create more food to trade whether it's livestock or
Starting point is 00:02:03 skills. You can livestock or skills. You can barter skills. If it's manual labor, you can split wood. If it's blacksmithing, if you can fabricate from metal, that's a skill that you can barter. Some people store alcohol. Here at the Jones Homestead, we don't because we know how to make more whiskey. We can make practically unlimited supplies of whiskey.
Starting point is 00:02:36 So we have stuff that we can trade here. And you need to think about what it is that you will be able to trade and it can be labor. If you got a strong back everybody needs wood split. So there you go. Think about trading PBN family and that is your prepper tip of the day.
