Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello everyone out there in Internet Radio Land. This is Dave Jones, the NBC guy, with your tip for the 3rd of November. Today is the first day of school, so I thought I'd record this early because I don't know how the first day is going to go, but it's going to be crazy. Hey, something I always say is capability and limitations. Okay, this is another concept for prepping. You have to understand the capabilities and limitations of all your equipment and all your personnel.
Starting point is 00:00:43 You wouldn't use a hammer for a screwdriver, right? So don't put a 90-pound pack on a 100-pound woman and expect her to hump a trail. You understand capabilities and limitations. You're only as strong as your weakest person in your group. Whoever is the worst shot, okay, that is your best you can do. So understand capabilities and limitations of your equipment, what it can do, what it can't do, and have a realistic idea of what your people can do and what they can't do.
Starting point is 00:01:32 Because you don't become Rambo in SHTF. It just doesn't happen. As a matter of fact, between the stress and the physical, you know, stress of the situation, you will become less effective, not more effective. So understand capabilities and limitations. That's your tip for today. the day.
