So tune in, tune in, because you'll hear some you'll hear something that you probably will surprise you, to be honest.
Starting point is 00:05:08 Yeah, check it out. Check it out. What's on your guys' mind tonight? What's in the realm of preparedness tonight? Because, well, we've been, you know, we've been about a lot lately. We've been about a lot. I almost had Dave Jones on tonight. Oh Yeah My mug for tonight is a Mount Olive kosher Spears Glass this is this is the water The water glass and the beer mug
Starting point is 00:05:38 beer glad whatever People do this stuff anyway guys do this stuff. I can't bring myself to throw it out all the time. You know what I mean? It's a tough one. It's a tough thing to do. You start throwing stuff out for no reason. Perfect glass. You only think about it, right? We throw it in a recycle bin and pretend like it's going somewhere. It's gonna do something. We going to make something out of it. Welcome in Chuck Morris and Jill Lab and Universal Truck and Tommy Vellis over there on Instagram. Bunch of people pulling in over on Instagram. How do we have one viewer from our ex-viewers?
Starting point is 00:06:20 We're not on ex tonight. Is that somewhere else? I don't know. I don't know where that one eyeball is coming from So what what's going on in the news? I don't even know I haven't even paid him an ounce of attention to the news I have no clue. I Don't even know that I should look Trump no good
Starting point is 00:06:38 Failing. Oh, yeah, there's this leak, right? Oh The hooties have launched rebel the Houthis are launching missiles at aircraft carriers again they can't quite seem to figure out that they can't reach the the Harry Truman they're shooting rockets at the Harry Truman they don't even come close. The first targeted Ben Gurion airport with two ballistic missiles and the second targeted several enemy destroyers as well as the Truman aircraft carrier in the Red Sea with several missiles and drones in a clash that lasted several hours. A clash? Yeah when you shoot when
Starting point is 00:07:23 you launch on an aircraft carrier it's not like that thing's just sitting out there by itself, you know, I don't know what's going on. There's I don't know. It's OK. This is what it is. What do you guys want to talk about, Instagram? Throw a preparedness, survival, outdoors, fishing, cooking something into the chat room, OK? Or I'm going to go lay in bed with my wife. I got the bad news. I was two spaces to the left, painting in furnace marines when I got the text that my guest was not coming on.
Starting point is 00:08:14 And I was pretty close, I was pretty damn close to just doing a rerun tonight. And I said, I don't know. See, the one thing about it is there's always this opportunity that somebody out there is going to have an experience when you do a live show. Like one person is going to start listening that hasn't listened before. One person is going to join in that hasn't joined in before,
Starting point is 00:08:42 and all that kind of stuff. And just so many times that's happened over the years and those people turn into look great listeners and great members and so on And it's just you know, it's one of those things I keep showing the camera things and it's really having trouble focusing on my face after I do it I don't know if it's giving up or what? So it's tough, you know, it's tough to phone it in Especially with all this. I mean you got all this It's not like you know back in the day
Starting point is 00:09:12 I would talk into this microphone and nobody would see me and it would just go to spreeker and passed out to a couple platforms Uh, oh wow Dave fergant chat says that that Trump removed security clearance for Hillary Clinton Joe Biden and Kamala Harris Wonder how that gets enforced wonder what the deal with that I mean Joe Biden couldn't find his way into anything and he damn sure wouldn't remember anything, right? Yeah, the blog time is blog talk blog talk. I miss blog talk a little bit. I miss blog talk radio, only for the possibility
Starting point is 00:09:54 of a phone call-in, right? I guess we have chats now. But chats are just not the same. It's not the same thing. The call-in thing, I don't even know if the call-in thing would work anymore, you know, this day and age. It's a different time. There's a phone out there and it's called the punked phone. More on the subject of phones. P-U-N-K-T. OK. Let's talk about this.
Starting point is 00:10:27 You want to get into this? I don't know if I want to get into this with you guys. So there's this thing going on in many places, many parlances, right? But as with a lot of things, when I first heard about it, it came through innovative people in the prepping world Innovative people mark mark 37 mark 47 can't remember their name exactly. I apologize guys I'm gonna see these guys probably face to face a prepper camp and feel real silly But they've been on the show and they are one of a few companies that I know of that are into Setting up the graphene operating system on your cell phone so you can basically de-google your phone right you de-google
Starting point is 00:11:13 your phone get Google out of your phone from following you and watching you and listening to you and telephoning you and recording your voice and all that kind of stuff and you know it's a process. You can buy a de-googled phone or you can do it yourself. You can do you know whatever it is. And it's one of these weird things that like I don't know. I described it a few months back because like having a de-googled phone is like being a vegan. You know what I mean? It's one of those things that you're like you've got to talk about it. You know what I mean? It's one of those things that you're like, you've got to talk about it. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:11:47 And then you got to get on people about it. And it's an instant turn off for me, instantly. You know, I get it. Don't get me wrong, I get it. But the whole de-Googling thing got so trendy so fast and it became a finger wagger. You know, I really hate like finger wagging topics You know what? I mean like you need to do go get in front
Starting point is 00:12:11 Do you understand what the guy like five minutes ago had you know Google on his phone? And now he's wagging the phone and you need to take Google your phone Okay, calm down. So so I've been thinking a lot about phones and there are things that the phone does for me that you know everybody's got their phone and everybody's got their apps on their phone and everybody knows that they're addicted to their phone and everybody knows that they uh that they spend too much time doing absolutely nothing on their phone, right? So, you know over the last I don't know
Starting point is 00:12:47 How many months I just just putting the phone down and walking away from the phone and leaving it in a place for long periods of time exacting self-control, right It's fine, you know, it's good, it works. But I think really what has to happen with phones is we need to take a few steps back, take a two gen like two or three generations back, not generations of people, but like a phone design at large. And they have this really goofy and silly and phone that is like merely a phone
Starting point is 00:13:25 imagine that and It's called the punk phone PUNKT, right? PUNKT phone and I think that's where I'm going next Here's why I'm not de-googling my cell phone I'm not gonna get rid of my cell phone that I use use you know for all the things that people use their phone for half 90% of which is not actually for a phone, so I'm not gonna get rid of my little mini computer that I keep in my pocket But this is what I do plan to do which is a serious bump in privacy
Starting point is 00:14:04 Do I have? Nah, I'm not opening that. I don't want to waste one of those. Uh, suffice it to say, and those of you who are watching have probably seen, you know, the militant hippie is in the Instagram chat. What is up? He says, peace is found when you put the phone down is that prose that Shakespeare how you been man God's been a long time since I seen you
Starting point is 00:14:32 talk to you I never seen you but it's been a long time since I talked to you the militant hippie could be my brother if you ever see him I wish the comments for Instagram will go into my main comment stream Yeah, not so easy what's prepper br underscore You're almost like prepper broadcasting what happened. So here's my deal. Okay. This is what I've been thinking I like the looks of this punk phone. You can text on it. You can phone call on it and that's it Or maybe some other things but not a lot. It looks silly. It's so goofy looking but I like it and My game plan is I have a bunch of SLNT phone holders
Starting point is 00:15:17 RFID blocking EMP proof yada yada yada. Okay Here's the thing about the googling yourling your phone. If you slip it into one of these things, all the things that you're worried about mostly are taken care of. I mean, if you're, you know, inputting data and all that kind of stuff, then they're going to get your data and all that. If you're surfing the internet on that phone, you know, doing whatever it is you do on that phone, YouTube, that kind of stuff, then they're gonna... But remember, you can stop the tracking elements, you can stop the... Really, you can stop Google from even connecting to your phone
Starting point is 00:15:59 by slipping it into a EMP-proof phone case and that's a a RFID-blocking yada, yada, yada. There's a big list of things that those cases do. So my plan is to have the phone phone, the text phone, the punk phone, and then slip the cell phone in to the RFID-blocking EMP-proof case, and be de-googled if you will not necessarily de-googled but you know pretty much disconnected disconnected and so on the militant epi says pretty pretty sore just hiked another 4,000 footer here in the whites 10 mile hike the views were
Starting point is 00:16:45 astounding I'm glad to hear it man I need to get out and do some hiking as well videos up on your page oh man go check out the underscore militant underscore hippie on Instagram he's great dude and it hardly does it justice but hey I had some mountain beans even enjoyed a nice cup of pepper beans from yours truly. Oh you mean like You talking about Bunker beans. There's some bunker beans up there on the on the mountain. They're hippie man. He never Ceases to amaze. I'll tell you he never ceases to amaze
Starting point is 00:17:27 So, yeah, that's the He never ceases to amaze. I'll tell ya. He never ceases to amaze. So yeah. That's the, uh, do you guys do that stuff? Do you guys go out in the wilds of the world? Who goes out into the wilds of the world? Who goes out in, um, maybe not even just in a testing gear capacity, but just to be out there. Oh, you had some pandemic, some five bean espresso blend. That's a serious coffee, man.
Starting point is 00:17:53 That's a serious coffee. I really strike. I mean, I really hit a home run with that one. That's our best seller every year at Disaster Coffee. The pandemic just blows it out of the water every year. That was the beginning over at Disaster Coffee. For those of you who don't know, we run a coffee business called Disaster Coffee dot com. You may not know. I don't know if you know or not. And it's fun. It's fun and the coffee is absolutely unbelievable. Really unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:18:25 When it first came to my how the first bag, our first blend that we ever created was called supply drop and it came in the it came on a like a balmy December Eve and I remember that the whole family was sitting on the couch over here watching Home Alone and I opened up the this will happen to you too if you order disaster coffee you'll open up your mailbox right and you'll be it's like a chemical weapon it's like a caffeinated chemical weapon it hits you it's powerful series coffee man you know not not all coffees are created equal I can promise you that much. Yeah, I didn't I mean I wish I could take full credit hippie for that but you know, we have a great supplier to be honest. We have an incredible supplier that handles all the
Starting point is 00:19:16 shipping and all that kind of stuff and they just for years and years and years have done an amazing job for us you know they really have it's incredible so yeah I mean now is a great time it is a phenomenal time to get out there into the wilds of the world everything is coming to life it is a foraging time it is a it is a time to seek out several varietals of wild mushroom. It is a time to... You know, one of the cool things to do in spring that I think is important for preppers and survivalists, and outdoorsmen too, is to look at saplings every year. You know, saplings can tell you a lot about well
Starting point is 00:20:07 trees in general tell you a lot about a lot what's up conflicted games I need to re-up my supply soon more holes to come and I'm going to need some good beans yeah man but one of the things you know identifying a tree like when it's mature Fine, but this time of the year you do get a lot of these saplings don't survive But you get a chance to look at trees baby trees You know what? I mean not even necessarily saplings, but like baby trees like little tiny stems of oak with like a couple leaves, you know, and you can look at them when they're young like that and You'll learn a lot
Starting point is 00:20:51 Because you'll be able to pick them out easily and then you'll also be able to look up and go. Oh, well, I know those round those round Rounded edge leaves. That's an oak tree rounded edge leaves that's an oak tree. The other thing that's really important to do this time of year if if you want to get into foraging and be really good at identifying plants you know identifying plants is first of all it's a seasonal game but it's also you're not just out there to identify a plant at its peak maturity either, right? for example if you see the canes of
Starting point is 00:21:30 Blackberry You never noticed them because it was just you know in a tangle of some kind of shrubbery But all of a sudden you see those little those five little leaves those toothy five leaves start to appear You can look at that young plant and say alright There's nothing on it of value for me right now the leaves aren't even mature enough to make a tea from or anything like that But because I know how to recognize a young wild that although that'll be beneficial in the summer or the fall I Can note that spot I can note that location and say I'll come back, you know, I think it's super important to
Starting point is 00:22:10 It's super important to oh Well, thank you. I hope that's a good thing Conflicted games says you look like my cousin. I hope I hope I hope your cousin's a handsome fella I don't want to see a picture of him. I'll think about it all night. Anyway, so you can also identify these wild edibles as they're sort of sprouting. And even things like dandelion or tubers that you might be seeking out tubers from mature plants. Sometimes the leaves something like a burdock, like a burdock root that you won't harvest
Starting point is 00:22:50 the burdock root till the leaves die off in the fall. And then you'll harvest the root, right? But the burdock leaves in the spring, and this is where this identification of young plants comes in because burdock in the spring is not gonna have a big giant stem And a big spiky bulb on top with purple tubular flowers, right? It's gonna have a small stem maybe and a rosette of those Little leaves and they're good. I mean they're they're tasty little tangy little leaves sort of like They're they're tasty little tangy little leaves sort of like, um
Starting point is 00:23:30 Sort of like curly dock leaves when they're young, you know spinach-esque little tangy that kind of thing But I noticed this a few years A few years back that like going into the woods in the spring running running in the woods is Everything if you want to id stuff or walking in the woods. It's up to you. Whatever you want to do. I found for me that running in the woods has advanced my ability to identify trees, mushrooms, plants, roots, all that kind of stuff tenfold. And it's just reps. It's just time in the woods. You know what I mean? The hippie says it's almost time to pick the youngling pine cones for a brew high in vitamin C Young pine, you know what? I don't know. Here's what I don't know. Maybe hippie knows cuz this is his neck of the woods. I Swear to you I've touched every I've touched pine cones at every phase I've never seen a pine nut in my life, in the natural world.
Starting point is 00:24:27 Used them as a chef, love them, delicious. I mean, just an outstanding nut, really, an amazing food. Never in all of my years have I touched a pine cone, have I pulled a pine cone off a tree and opened it up and been able to say, say like there's the pine nut Why is that hippie? What's going on in the coniferous forests? You know what I mean? What's going on in the coniferous forests up there in the in the north in the Tony of the north that I can't seem to Find a single pine nut now. It could be I always thought it was species. I Always figured you know what I mean species. I always figured, you know
Starting point is 00:25:05 what I mean, it's probably species, probably, you know, that kind of thing. Also, winter berries are ready to pick and add to tea. Yeah, I don't know. We're coming out, coming out of the winter, the things that I'm always looking for are small leaves. Always praying for morel mushrooms, you know, those kinds of things. Really, when things start to get exciting in Virginia is June, you know, June, July. Usually by about June, we stood the mulberries start really kicking off. Um, it starts to get humid enough that like the real fun mushrooms start showing up, you know what I mean? Chanterelles, those kinds of things start to pop up.
Starting point is 00:25:54 And, uh, yeah, I mean, we've got, there are places just so close to my home that it's like, they're just packed with things, elderberries, blackberries, every kind of medicinal leaf you can think of willows i mean it's just it's really one thing that i the probably the thing that i've learned the thing that i've learned that the the principle that i've found when foraging is like go to the water you know go to the stream go to the small stream go to the water so what what the hippie says is pine nuts are from the pinion pine tree varietal. So that makes sense. That makes sense.
Starting point is 00:26:49 Phoenix Survival in chat is talking about getting some mycelium and growing some mushrooms. It's a good time. It is. Growing mushrooms is cool. I think if I were to do it again, also pine nut producing coniferous pinyon pine trees are found in the western US and Asia. So that and mostly in the Rocky Mountains. That makes sense. What's up, Sweets EDC?
Starting point is 00:27:19 How you doing? That makes sense. Okay. Hmm. No way. J. Panettos last name meets from the pines what's up what's up JP welcome good to see you and what has happened is Instagram has reigned supreme in the evening and you will keep me you will keep me beyond the 30-minute hour because we've reached we've reached a
Starting point is 00:27:44 level where the cool people have come so now it's we can have some fun and stay on for a little while so what was I gonna say what we talking about oh raising mushrooms I think if I were to do mushrooms again I tried them a few years back for a second time. I bought oak logs inoculated with a shitake mushroom spore like nine years ago, something like that. And they produced for about four years straight really well, four years straight shitake mushrooms, you know saute up delicious wonderful And then they were done in the room, you know, really what it was the logs themselves were done
Starting point is 00:28:35 And if I did it again I do it that way though I did it on a I did it on a Stomp and oak stump and that was a mistake and I lost my inoculated dowels. They didn't take. Phoenix says I'm going to do the straw and bucket method. I'd love to see it. See what I want is multiple years. If you get multiple years out of the straw and bucket method, then I'm in. I'll do it also. I love doing
Starting point is 00:29:05 things with buckets. Buckets are one of just amazing the things you can do with buckets. We're finally out of work to rejoice with the lot with lost brethren. I don't know the reference Milliton Hippie. We are finally out of work to rejoice with lost brethren. What am I missing? But there's all kinds of cool kits for growing mushrooms now. My thing is, there's a forest out there that grows a lot of the ones I grow anyway. Like every year, I see oysters on fallen hardwood.
Starting point is 00:29:47 You know? I mean every year. It's not always the same trees but every year when I'm out in the woods running around I always find a stand of the oyster mushrooms So it's well, you know in other words if I could go out and find a stand of oyster mushrooms I don't want to spend 25 30 40 bucks on a plastic bag That is gonna protrude oyster mushrooms if I do everything I'm supposed to do That deep you know what I mean? Chicken of the woods, hen of the woods. Last year was the first time I ever found a lion's mane mushroom
Starting point is 00:30:35 way up in the way up on a hardwood. Uh, the Millet and hippie has grown some on a birch towers made from pretty good oyster mushrooms. I'm sorry, birch towers and he had a pretty good harvest of oysters. Yeah, they're fun. I mean, if you're into wild mushrooms, they're fun. It's a fun game. If you're new, like if you're just starting all this foraging stuff, don't even worry about mushrooms.
Starting point is 00:31:03 You know what I mean? Just grow your own. Like here's the thing. Here's the we want to like here's the thing. When I got into prepping, when I got into foraging and all that, I'm coming with a literal degree in food. You what i mean like i have a like a literal degree in culinary arts and i spent years. Handling and falling over chanterelle mushrooms handling and falling over more mushrooms right. Oyster mushrooms all the time so it it's one of those things where you get like You know In when you hold the thing enough
Starting point is 00:31:51 You inspect it you see it. You know what it is you washing it you're cutting it up It's not like somebody who went to school for accounting and is like, oh god the world's coming to an end I better learn how to forage I better figure these mushrooms out You know my gap was way smaller. It's a very small gap learning gap because of that Milton hippie says he shaved I was I would shaving and packed them into holes drilled in the birch towers Yeah, that's it. That's it like the inoculated similar to the inoculated wood dowels you do it in oak log You have like an inoculated wood dowel or collection of them you drill holes Plunged the dowel into the hole cover that with wax. There you go
Starting point is 00:32:39 Phoenix asks do you have a good recipe for kimchi? I Don't at the moment, but the shtf chef will is weak Let me write it down Let me write it down there was a time when I would pack kimchi every week, and I never use soy sauce never I Would pack it like weekly though. I think I used Shrimp Shrimp Why shrimp sauce like sticking into my head shrimp something or other I don't remember but um I'll get we'll do a uh we'll do
Starting point is 00:33:16 a fun kimchi recipe this week because I love it. I I just Don't eat it as much For the sake of the family Nobody in the family likes it and kimchi is so vile I mean, it's great for you. Like if you've got issues tummy issues and you're having trouble With whatever down there you eat some kimchi man for a like consistent time that fermented deliciousness down there, you eat some kimchi man for like consistent time. That fermented deliciousness. Something about that fermented cabbage. I don't know what it is.
Starting point is 00:33:52 It just yeah, me too. Phoenix. I mean, I I'll eat a whole if I go unchecked if you got the daikon radish and you got the Napa cabbage. My mouth is starting to water. Yeah, I'll eat the whole thing. I'll eat the whole jar and it'll just be hell for my family all through the whole night. You'll have a burp. You'll have a kimchi burp.
Starting point is 00:34:19 I'm telling you, it'll clear the living room out. It's not good. The military said, oh my dear dear I'd be interested in that I eat kimchi fried rice about once a week. Oh Yeah, definitely. We'll get a kimchi recipe up this week. We just did a corned beef and hash or a corned beef hash recipe today We did corned beef hash over auto pen for those of you who are in the know and you know it was more of a tutorial kind of talk but it'll be up there. All the SHTF chef stuff from all the shows is always available at pbnfamily.com for members
Starting point is 00:35:00 so if you're a member you get you're gonna have an archive of the SH chef We just started doing it. So there's four or five videos up there now But we're gonna do one to two videos every week and the way the membership website goes It's like these things build and build and build and build and before you know it you have something like our prep or fit and health or our cubicle escape plan that has like, you know 30 40 different videos on stuff all under that one segment and People like Phoenix survival and many other listeners to PBN have long been like dude Like why you a chef and not talking about food stuff?
Starting point is 00:35:42 Delco safety info, dude, are you from Delaware County? Tell me you're from Delaware County Please so anyway, you know those those Recipes are all up. There's ton of good recipes already. You know what? I mean ton of good recipes up under that shtf chef. Oh already you know what I mean ton of good recipes up under the shtf chef OJ first gonna be cracking the old gigantic egg soon do you know who I am Delco safety info are you are you creeping or are you just did you happen in here by accident I grew up in hook went to chai middle school elementary school high school I don't I'm just it's a small little county to have wound up in my live show
Starting point is 00:36:29 tonight and I didn't know if you were OK. I didn't know if you recognize that you wouldn't probably wouldn't recognize because I haven't lived there in so long, but it's always like Delaware County in the house. Living good. Sorry, I thing did you hear my son he was just murdered what a what a good one what a good one I'm calling what did I call Jay Ferg you remember I say double Yorker no I said just a big egg because I had one of those not long ago when I got my my newest batch of chickens I had one of those big ass eggs and it was just a big egg. I thought the same thing as you I was like
Starting point is 00:37:12 Oh, this is definitely a double yoker and I cracked that thing open and it was just a giant egg When I first got those chickens Something really weird was going on. I don't know if anybody's ever had had this happen I've never had this happen I've been raising chickens for a decade the yolk was separate of the albumen the yolk was separate of the egg white it was really weird I never had that happen ever it's done it's better now but for a while there it weird. Like every egg that this one chicken laid, it was separate. It was really weird. Literally, like the yoke is supposed to be set up in that, you know, center mass of the egg and the egg white. And it wasn't. It was like sort of separate. are separate. Phoenix says my Americana eggs have huge yolks. Whiskey there... what is it? Whiskey the red cat. I've seen you in here live before. I'm searching for the emergency radio that has subtitles or text messages for announcements.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Hmm. Okay. Not what I thought, but I would, I would still go there. I would definitely still go there. The militant hippie asks, am I, am I sipping pickle juice? I'm not sipping pickle juice I'm sipping water out of a pickle jar Eva Nito seven comms depot calm I
Starting point is 00:40:37 Don't know exactly what you're talking about to be honest with you the emergency radio that has subtitles or text messages for announcements The emergency radio that has subtitles or text messages for announcements Unfortunately my car I could I can refer look go to PBN family if you really want to get into this even e to seven I'll help you out Phoenix survival may have an answer for you but if if you really want an answer like an in detailed answer go to PBN family comm and Send me an email. Starting point is 00:41:23 I know the guy who runs the place, he's a great dude, he's a freak about radios and all that kind of stuff, he will hook you up. You know, one of those. This was the literal thing I was talking about. This was like the literal comms dilemma. Oh Me too. I have a neat though be too man You gotta have a comms person Do you know what I mean? If you're not your con if you're not the comms person you gotta have a comms person Like you have to have it You just the world is too big to try to figure it all out
Starting point is 00:42:01 I'm sure there's people out there who are capable of I'm just'm just a regular person. I don't have any superpowers, so I can't fit it all in my head. Works for me man. Works for me. There's a lot of good stuff out there, you know. I think probably like if you're out there and you're just starting an emergency communications like the best thing you can the best thing the best step you can take the best thing you can try to start with is What am I even trying to do with this comms thing? You know what? I mean like a lot of times you get into prepping get scared where if the phone goes down I'll buy a ham radio. What are you trying to do?
Starting point is 00:42:48 Like who are you trying to contact? And when you get in contact with them, what is the message, your relay? Is there a way around it? Is there a drill that you can run now so that everybody's prepared and maybe that emergency comes in terms of like family and getting family safe. Maybe it's important but not necessarily as important as you think. Yeah, the mesh networks are going up. The mesh networks are going to be amazing soon. They're going to be incredible. So many people are doing mesh networks. They're going to be
Starting point is 00:43:22 everywhere. Like texting via mesh is going to be be like Germany. You look up Germany and how they do it They've been doing this stuff a long time. They just walk around. It's like how they communicate with their friends Now don't get me started on Germany and who else probably communicating with mesh test attacks on the download So militant hippie My comms guy chin has been telling me about this retfis repeater in a box basically worth looking into worth looking into it's it's a it's by retfis and it's
Starting point is 00:44:04 What the hell is it called it's like it's just basically a pre-built repeater in a box it's sweet I don't know that then you the whole breakdown but the Phoenix is building a repeater will probably you know follow Phoenix because she'll probably put that on her Instagram it'll be cool. It will be cool. I'm sure if you search Rattvis Repeater, it'll come right up, hippie. There is something to the building of the comms, though.
Starting point is 00:44:33 I'll tell you that. I think you're doing the right thing, Jay Ferg, instead of buying one. I look back at the mad, mad, what one mad gear mad Gary, right? It's getting lamb getting tired The mad gear guy used to make t-shirts and stuff and Then he started building out these mesh nodes and he was doing it, you know with like three or four different Pieces like three or four different pieces into a container creating these little mesh nodes and you
Starting point is 00:45:09 watch it and you go like yeah that's probably something I need to do you know what I mean it's probably one of those things that you need to just just bite the the bit and do it guy I know has one in a church steeple in town nearby. It's how many GMRS reaches up to 30 miles. Oh, it's doable, man. That's sweet too, by the way. That's awesome. Yeah, you know, I think I'm gonna go out with this folks. It's a drum that I beat pretty often. But no one else does. Literally, I don't know if I've ever heard anybody else say it. It's why I beat the drum all the time.
Starting point is 00:45:51 Because I'm in here, in these chat rooms, doing this stuff on a day-to-day basis, you know, and I listen to what other preppers are doing and I see what other preppers are doing and I'm always blown away. I was talking to my business partner today about his one of his endeavors, you know what I mean? In prepping, in preparedness and spreading the preparedness message. And it's just, you know, I was telling him there's no way that emergency management is ever going to connect with people. You know what I mean? Federal emergency management, state-level emergency management, it's not... unless they find incredibly charismatic leadership somehow, it's just never... there's never gonna be that connection. People get prepared because
Starting point is 00:46:40 of Preppers. They don't get prepared because of emergency management. People get... people are prepared now more than they't get prepared because of emergency management. People are prepared now more than they ever have been because of people like you. People just like you. That's what it is. You know what I mean? It's people just like you who are doing all this stuff with emergency comms and food storage and raising animals and different, you know, firearms and different gear with the ability to hold a variety of loadouts and concealed carry weapons, all this kind of stuff. The options that the average person has to get prepared, and I'm not even talking about
Starting point is 00:47:21 content, the classes that an average person can attend now, right? All this stuff was built, all this infrastructure, I call it, was built. It's prepper infrastructure. People like us put it out onto the internet, built the companies, filled the inventories, whatever, whatever. And now the population can say whatever it is they have to say, Oh my God, it's a pandemic. I want to get prepared.
Starting point is 00:47:49 Oh my God, Donald Trump's back in. I want to get prepared. Oh my God, Joe Biden can't even talk. I need to get prepared, right? Whatever it is. And the whole world is the whole world of prepping is out there for people to just go learn and go by. You go learn, you can buy, you can talk, you can get a consult, you can get,
Starting point is 00:48:09 well, whatever it is, you know what I mean? It's amazing and no one ever talks about it. It's incredible. You don't hear a peep, nobody ever says shit. They just, I don't know, preppers are at it again. Prepper bunker for sale, look Look out them crazy ass preppers. They got like a people saying it have like a like a bag with a concealed carry location a
Starting point is 00:48:33 EMP proof bag for their cell phone. You know what I mean? Like they're already preppered up EDC on point The militant hippie says we are a vessel to quell the flames of their fears. I like that. I like that. Well put. But it's not just to quell their fears, it's to put them to work so that they can do it themselves. That has to be the ultimate goal, right? I'm not just up here to get on here and say, everything's gonna be okay, don't you worry. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:49:12 The preppers are out there to say, you need to do X, Y, and Z to keep your family safe. No one's coming to save you. How many people say nobody's coming to save you now? Right? How many people? I mean, I hear it everywhere in all kinds of different types of content.
Starting point is 00:49:31 That's a prepper phraseology. I mean, that was born out of our community of preppers and survivalists. That was one of the big concepts that came out of what we do. It was the shocking realization that like you are losing a third of your paycheck on you know taxes and those taxes are some of those taxes are going into an organization like FEMA and you're sitting around assuming like oh when my house gets blown over FEMA is going to show up they They're gonna take care of me
Starting point is 00:50:06 And I now we find out that they're not even gonna come to your house if you got the wrong political sign in the yard So good luck. I Don't know. It's yeah, I'm proud of it. I'm proud of it. That's all I like to speak on it because it You're never gonna hear it. No one's ever going to give the credit where it's due. And the people who are involved in it, they know they're responsible for it. So it is what it is. Maybe one day in history, they'll look back and say like these crazy ass people. If not for them, I don't know what 2020 would have been like, right?
Starting point is 00:50:42 If not for them, I don't know what the, whatever hell it is. We're going into right now would look like All right Think I'm out of here folks.
