It's called the President's Daily Brief.
If you served in America's intelligence community like I have, you know exactly what this brief is and why it's so important to help run the country.
I'm thrilled to announce that I'm going to bring you a version of this brief in the form of a podcast, but more on that in the second.
Meanwhile, here's what you need to know about the actual President's Daily Brief, or PDB, that's delivered to the White House each morning.
By 4 a.m., America spies and analysts get ready to inform the president of the grave threats and unique opportunities that await the next.
This is a highly classified briefing with the most secret of America's intelligence and analysis.
In fact, the PDB is so sensitive that one former CIA director said years ago that none of them
could ever be released no matter how old. Regardless, the goal of the PDB is to inform the president
of not just the day's threats and opportunities, but to explain why they are so important to the
nation. In other words, to help the president understand why he or she should care. Finally, the PDB offers
up possible solutions to solve the many challenges raised in each morning's brief. And that takes me to the
podcast. As a former CIA officer, I think the American people deserve this same kind of brief. And so I'm
excited to announce that I have a public version to share with you. Each day at 6 a.m. Eastern,
I'm going to brief you on the most important issues facing the country, giving you 15 to 20 minutes of
the critical intelligence you need to start your morning. We're going to talk about foreign affairs,
the economy, and the nation's security, especially the border.
We're also going to talk about politics, namely when political news impacts the nation's security.
As an example, the story of the Hunter Biden laptop.
What is that story about exactly?
And why is it such a big deal?
Not as a Republican or a Democrat, but as an American.
We're going to talk about that and stories like it.
And that gets to the heart of both the actual President's Daily Brief and my podcast with the same name.
I want to use my experiences as a former CIA officer to help you make sense of all those confusing
stories in the news, to explain why you should care about them, why they're important to you and your
family. And wherever possible, I'm going to make recommendations or offer personal advice on how we
might tackle our nation's many problems. Now, I'm not going to tell you what to think or what to do,
but instead how you might think about an issue and what you could do to solve a problem.
And with that, you can come to your own conclusions.
Because that's what the president gets in the PDB, and that's what you deserve as well.
So start every morning with me, Brian Dean Wright, by subscribing to the president's daily brief on your favorite podcasting app like Spotify, IHeart, and Apple.
Because once you listen in, I think you'll realize that the PDB is the brief you need to help run the country you deserve.
