They'll be building a new ticketing system for teams that will be far more fan-friendly than the sites you've been stuck with for years. So drop your old site and experience buying and selling tickets the way it should be. To start using Seekkeek, download the free app or go to Seatkekeek.com.
Starting point is 00:00:30 And while you're on your phone, how about making another purchase? Because we finally have ringer merch. If you go to bitly.com slash ringer merch, you can find shirts and hoodies. A portion of the proceeds from each purchase will benefit charity water, a nonprofit organization that provides clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Again, that's bitly.com slash ringer merch. B-I-T-L-Y dot com slash ringer merch. All right, let's talk batch.
Starting point is 00:00:55 Welcome to Bachelor Party. I'm Juliet Litman, Big Week, and the Bachelor Universe. Nation, if you will. Jojo made her selection. Bachelor of Paradise popped off. There's so much to talk about. Because of Bachelor of Paradise, my recording schedule has changed.
Starting point is 00:01:27 This is now a Thursday podcast. Today's on Friday. And therefore, I'm joined by two any given Wednesday producers. Is that what you guys do? Yeah, let's go with that. Sure. I love that.
Starting point is 00:01:36 Emily Colette and Sam Oshar, what do you guys do? Technically, it would be associate producer, but if we drop the associate, all good. I don't want to get you guys in trouble or get me in trouble or something. We'll just tell everybody that we're, fine,
Starting point is 00:01:47 associate producers. Associate producers. On Ending-Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons. Yes. On HBO at 10 p.m. on Wednesdays. And HBO now. Correct. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:55 Thank you. Yeah. I'm just trying to support the show and my friends and Bill. Okay. So you guys love The Bachelor. Love. Huge fans. What's like you're,
Starting point is 00:02:04 I always like to know people's background with The Bachelor. Like, when did you start watching? I watched season one. Whoa. Nice. I stopped when Brad came. I hate Brad one or Brad two? Both.
Starting point is 00:02:15 I hate Brad. I didn't watch either season. So I took a break. Okay. And then I didn't watch Emily Maynard's season. I came back around Sean's season. Sean Lowe. Too blonde Sean.
Starting point is 00:02:26 Way too blonde. Well, it wasn't my favorite season. Which what? He was not, it was not my favorite season. He's so boring. Although, you know, they must love him in the Bachelor World because he's about to have be. Oh, he has a father now.
Starting point is 00:02:36 They had their baby. Yeah, a boy, I think. A boy. Yeah, little Sean Lowe. Catherine Juducci is one of the most beautiful winners of this franchise, in my opinion. Agreed. One of the most beautiful, yes. And kind of out there.
Starting point is 00:02:46 quirky. Yeah, they seem like a pretty happy couple. I think that she's probably too good for him, but as long as they're happy. Agreed, 100%. Sam, what about you? What's your bachelor background? I have a checkered past. My past, like my past is catching up with me. I watched the bachelor at home with my mom after I got home from college. And so I got really into it. And then I'm... What season was that? I think it was Sean. Because I watched Sean and Catherine Vaugh and love Damn guys. Your Sean stands out here. Who knew? Ben Flannick. I love the Ben Flannick season. You did? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:17 Because Courtney was like into water sex? No, she was. Very controversial season. But I like, I thought Ben was like a good guy. I like when the bachelor was a good guy and like a fun guy. Because I like project myself onto them. So I thought that Ben, I really enjoyed Ben season. So if you were on The Bachelor, you'd be like Ben.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Every season there's a different person who I like, I'm a young Jordan Rogers. No, you're not. But okay. I'm a hybrid Jordan Rogers Wells. I just, I decide who I can. like who I am and then I root for that person. So like I was rooting for Ben Flannick. I like I just pick a person.
Starting point is 00:03:52 You're also a big Tanner fan. Oh, huge Tanner fan. From week one, I was team Tanner. Let's say the Tanner talk for paradise. Wait, so my, I then went to New York and I actually covered the Bachelor for people now. People magazine? Yeah, their daily talk show people now. I was, we had a segment called the Bachelor dudes.
Starting point is 00:04:11 Cool. Me and my two friends were just giving our ideas on the Bachelor every week. we would come and recap it. So much like this podcast. Yeah, exactly. So you're saying you're competing bachelor host talent. Are you like buying? I'm out of,
Starting point is 00:04:24 I'm out of a job. I'm out of a job. I'm out of a job. I'm out of a job. I retired. So there's no war of a Trition here. There's no war of attrition. Nothing for me to be concerned about.
Starting point is 00:04:32 No, this is like an incredible comeback for me. Okay. I'm really happy for you then. This is kind of like the paradise to your bachelor. Oh, that's smooth. Yeah. Okay. Cool.
Starting point is 00:04:40 Well, thanks for joining me, guys. It's really exciting. I don't know where to begin. This always happens this week where the season ends and then you go right into paradise. So it's like Jordan and Jojo feel like old news, but it was just a few days ago. And like really,
Starting point is 00:04:52 I'm still processing her choice of Jordan because I just want to put it out there. Jordan seems like a bad guy. Like he just seems like an asshole. Really? Why do you think that? Because he doesn't care about other people at all. Like all he says when he talks about like relationships
Starting point is 00:05:07 and like what he needs out of the proposals, what he needs, not what they need or what Jojo needs. Did that proposal thing throw you off? Like it threw Jojo off where he didn't ask his, her dad. No. Okay. I'm glad to have another woman on this podcast. I do not, in fact, want my future husband to ask my father for permission. Me neither. Me neither. Thank you. It is a decision we'll be making together and I presume when he proposes or perhaps I will, who knows, that like we both will know that we're ready for this and it's right. And like it actually doesn't matter if my dad approves or not.
Starting point is 00:05:38 Yes. Hopefully he will. After an engaged call. Yeah, exactly. A phone call together. Yeah. That made me, it was actually when I was, watching, I was like, this is the most retrograde thing about this episode. It is so ridiculous. There's not like there's something like dowry to be paid. Like that's, that's the history of like asking for, for permission, you know? Yeah, but then he owns her. Like the ownership is going from the dad to the husband. Yeah. So that bothered you too? 100%. I did not think it was necessary. And that she got upset over it. Also, who cares? If it's a good father, he says no, because he just met this dude. Yeah, exactly. That's true. But didn't you think it was
Starting point is 00:06:12 nice that Robbie? Robbie also included her mom. Yes. I. I liked that very much. That was a beautiful. That was a great move. That was very 2016. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I really appreciated that.
Starting point is 00:06:21 That's true. Jojo's mom, wow, what are a performance by her in the last few months? So last time we saw her was on Jojo's hometown with Ben H. The Love of My Life. She was phenomenal. She had a lot of wine. She was from the bottle of champagne, just straight up. She became a meme.
Starting point is 00:06:34 She became a meme. And now her name is Soraya, I believe. Yeah. Definitely my favorite member of the Fletcher family, without a doubt. And she was just like, she was very honest. She was really straightforward. She was like, yeah. She clearly didn't like Jojo them.
Starting point is 00:06:47 I didn't like Jordan that much. Maybe she doesn't like Jojo either. Who knows? Actually, we all know the black sheep of the family is, right? Jojo's sister. Yes, the younger sister. It was really upsetting. No screen time.
Starting point is 00:07:00 Not only no screen time. No word spoken. She might be mute. Did they even introduce her? Do we get her name? I think it's Catherine. I think it's Catherine. With a why.
Starting point is 00:07:10 Think about that. She was cut out of Jojo's hometown date. We didn't see her. Oh, my God. Well, maybe she's at college. I thought about that, too, but like, come home. Yeah, your family's about to be on TV. Like, come home.
Starting point is 00:07:22 Robbie's 20 siblings showed up to his. In all of Luke's hometown. Yeah. So there definitely was room for Catherine. She could have flown in for one day. Like, it doesn't seem like the Fletchers are tight on cash. I'm sure they could have made it happen. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:35 I felt really bad for the sister. That was probably, like, the least amount of words ever spoken in a family event. She has no input. Jojo has the hot brother, though. Jojo has the hot brother. Two hot brothers. So you know one of them was on a reality show. Yes.
Starting point is 00:07:48 The hot one. On NBC, right? It was even on Goria's show. You think both of the brothers are hot? Only one's hot to me. I actually didn't find either particularly attractive. They both just sort of looked like really regular. Just like, okay.
Starting point is 00:08:01 They look like bachelor contestants. Yeah, sure. But ones that don't make it far. Yeah, like week four kind of guys. Yes. And then they go to Paradise. I think the Hot Brother could go far, actually. The Hot Brother could do well.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Do you identify with him? Is that one? No, by no means. He and I have nothing in Congress. common. Okay. Thank you for being next year. Yeah, so Jojo's mom was very like out on Jordan, which I really appreciated.
Starting point is 00:08:25 And she seemed like the real, well, I just think that there needs to be a level of honesty. And like they just, I mean, there doesn't need to be level of honesty. I said that in such like a ridiculous way. But if you're pretending like that this is meaningful, if everyone's like buying into like this like a meaningful meeting, I like that Jojo's mom was pretty like forthcoming about how she thought she didn't trust Jordan. Do you guys trust Jordan? I do. I think the Jordan honestly came off to me as a pretty real guy.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Like he had a lot of vulnerabilities and like insecurity shown this season. He's a guy that on the surface, you'd be like, that guy is like impenetrable. Like that guy is fully confident. Please. I saw a lot of like eye glant. Like they would bring things up in his like eye glances. I just recognized a lot of the stuff that he was doing was like a guy who's like trying to play off that he's in charge when he's really like not. and I thought I could sense that in him.
Starting point is 00:09:18 And so I like... He's a younger brother's self-esteem. He is a younger brother's self-esteem. Yeah. Interesting. I also, like by the end of it, like the fractured Rogers family, okay, I get it. I think that Jordan is like the glue of that family and he's doing like incredible work to like his mom and his dad are kind of... Can you?
Starting point is 00:09:37 I just have a question for you. What? Are you paid by Jordan Rogers? No, I'm just quite, honestly, I'm, I'm quite taken with him. I'm quite ticked. I just came away from this season. I know he's really divisive and polarizing. Like, I know a lot of people don't like him.
Starting point is 00:09:52 I just came away. Maybe just call me fully charmed. I was fully charmed. I think you have been duped. If I were a girl, if I were a girl, Jordan Rogers would get me and that kind of guy would get me every time. No. Uh-huh. You love the hair.
Starting point is 00:10:06 Love. You love the outfits? Love. The personality. Love. Athleticism. Love. Are you being serious?
Starting point is 00:10:12 Yes. He doesn't look good in his clothes. I don't fit. He looks incredible. His pants are too tight. Fully too tight. And they make it seem like he walks in like a weird way. A little.
Starting point is 00:10:21 He looks uncomfortable in his clothes. Too tight pants. I'm just shocked by this information. Yeah, no. Every time. If I were a girl, it would be Jordan Rogers every time for me. Out of the whole, everybody on that show over Wells. Well, I'm a young well.
Starting point is 00:10:34 So yeah, no, it also would be, they'd either be Wells or Jordan. I would leave them as the final two and I'd be like, wow. And the thing about that final decision for me and for America would be, it'd be really interesting because you have like on one hand you have Jordan and on the other hand you have a completely different kind of guy. Like that's, those should have been the final two. Wells and Jordan?
Starting point is 00:10:53 Yeah, because then you've like... This is the most warped analysis of The Bachelor I've ever heard. I'm kind of reeling from it right now. Emily, are you won over by Jordan? Okay, this is what happened with that episode. The episode came, I was not a Robbie fan. I did not like Robbie. I really thought Luke was going to make it to the top two.
Starting point is 00:11:10 The whole episode I was not a fan of Jordan. The season, I wasn't a fan of Jordan. But when he proposed to Jojo and when she finally said, I love you, and he, like, hugged her so hard. It was cute. I thought, oh, man, Jordan just won me over. And now I've been following them on their appearances, on Kimmel, on BMA. Their second journey, if you will. Yes, on Snapchat, all of their Us Weekly articles.
Starting point is 00:11:33 Okay. I think they're a real couple. Us Weekly's all plants. They can't trust that. Snapchat is a little bit more honest. Because they're in bed. They've been in bed. They've been in bed together.
Starting point is 00:11:43 Yeah. Should a mom to get off. They've been eating Chipotle. Okay, questionable. Like, right there. Come on. What? Have you been back to Chipotle since the whole health scare?
Starting point is 00:11:51 I have not. No. I go once a week. You do? Yeah, at least. I love Chipotle. I really need to reevaluate many things about you and the choices you're making. I think Chibola gives an incredible bang for your buck.
Starting point is 00:12:01 That's true. You can't go anywhere else and get that much pretty good food for that price. That is true. Also, if you don't get rice and you like make a smart choice, it's not that bad for you. What about brown rice? It's still like a lot of carbs. It's carby. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:13 Anyway, I can't believe you guys are into Jordan and Jojo. So let's move on a little bit. So ultimately... Julie, it's very upset with us. You can see her facial expressions right now. I'm just really, really surprised because I just think Jordan seems so fake. And what Sam interpreted as like vulnerabilities, I think is actually anger. I don't think he likes being pressed on anything or questioned.
Starting point is 00:12:35 And so Jojo often would bring up her issues with him, which I liked. And I thought that he was very, like, angry that she was. questioning him. I didn't get anger. I guess I interpreted those moments as he was like, I saw that it was a guy really kind of uncomfortable
Starting point is 00:12:54 being on camera, showing all these emotions, discussing these type of issues. Why are you guys rooting for Jordan, though? That's not even on the show because we don't know that he's won. He's won the competition.
Starting point is 00:13:06 But I just feel like in life, you guys are really like rooting for this couple and I'm shocked. I want this couple to work. I can tell. I love Jojo so much. I think Jojo was a great bachelor at, not the best. Caitlin Bristow is the best for me.
Starting point is 00:13:18 Yeah, definitely. But yeah, I really, they're not Caitlin and Sean. I'll put it to you that way. They're not as great as they, as Caitlin and Sean were the best. Yeah, they're a great couple. They seem very real. Do you guys think that they're going to last? That's the million dollar question.
Starting point is 00:13:32 Jordan and Jojo? Yeah. Zero percent chance. I guess six months maximum. Max. I say yes. They're going to get married. You're delusional.
Starting point is 00:13:40 And that marriage will be on ABC. Wow. But then how long do you think that marriage lasts? Do you know that he already got a job with the SEC Network? Yes. So they're moving to Dallas, which I don't think the SEC Network is based there, although perhaps it is. They're picking up his bed first in Nashville.
Starting point is 00:13:56 They are? It was the story that they told on Kimmel, yes. Oh, interesting. What's so good about his bed? I don't know, but maybe it's king size. Maybe she only has queen. They need more room. Extra room.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Huh. They bought her house in Dallas, right? Yeah. See, I think that they're in it for the long. hall. I think that individually, they both bring star power for me. I feel like I'm in a bizarro world talking to you too. I think that what has happened here is Emily and Sam share an office. So you've had like four days to talk this over and you've convinced yourself of a truth that just isn't there. This is so shocking. Can I give you my pitch for why I think
Starting point is 00:14:30 they're going to last? Okay. And it's kind of, it's kind of cynical. It's not like true love, whatever, whatever. I think that they both have star power on their own. Like they're both incredibly charming. They're beautiful. They're beautiful. They're beautiful. They're look incredible, like, together physically when you put them side by side. It's like, that is a shockingly good looking couple. I think that this like press tour that they've done the last week, they're seeing how powerful they are together. And on their own, they will never achieve what they could achieve together. They could be. That's true, but the couple of the bachelor. No, they can't. They, like, the show won't promote them that way, I don't think. Like,
Starting point is 00:15:07 I think that they are so much more invested in like Ben and Lauren. Yeah, Ben and Lauren is the couple. Yeah. And also, Snooze Fest. Jojo and Jordan, like, both. Anion alert. One of them will definitely, like, have some, like, kind of dick pick fiasco on Snapchat. He will. That's good. And she'll, like have some, I just feel like they're going to have some kind of scandal. I don't think either of them is ready to settle down either.
Starting point is 00:15:30 No, by no means are they ready to settle down. They're young. Joe's only 25. Yeah. Although I think she may be lying about her age, but that's another story. Whoa. Some internet research, some questions about what year she graduated from high school. Very thonmaker. Yeah. She's the Bachelor Thonmaker. Although he wasn't necessarily lying.
Starting point is 00:15:47 He just, who knows? I could see her being older. I could see her being a little bit older. Yeah, I think she's 26 or 27, like maybe one or two years older. But I don't want to call her a liar, you know, I'm just saying. Yeah. Internet suggests otherwise. Let's talk a little bit more about Robbie before moving on.
Starting point is 00:16:01 We got to talk about Paradise, too. So tough week for Robbie. He really thought, I think Robbie thought he had won. And by all accounts, Robbie had better dates than Jordan. Like, it just seemed what they also. had more fun together. And I don't know where he blew it. But, you know, this whole season, his signature was no socks.
Starting point is 00:16:20 And we saw him get into the car on the way to their proposal without socks on. And then when he got out of the car, he was wearing like really bulky striped socks. And I was like, well, this isn't good. I noticed that too. This can't work out for him. He's going off brand at the wrong moment. That was really weird. Like, what could have happened in the car to make him put socks on?
Starting point is 00:16:37 Smelly feet? I don't know, but he's had smelly feet the entire time. But he could have been like extra. nervous, extra sweaty, extra smelly. I know, but his shoes were on and I don't know. I can't buy that. It was really weird. I thought that Robbie's intensity caught up to him in the end. For me, it was uncomfortable the whole time with him. He was just like too locked in, like too, it's not good when the Batchezer's like one of the contestants. You can feel that they know this is like the peak of their lives. Yeah, yeah. And that like they want it too badly. I think Robbie wanted it too badly. Have you guys researched Robbie?
Starting point is 00:17:12 Yes. What does he do other than being a professional? Oh, I don't know. I just went really far on his Instagram. I kind of like really far. Robbie has a great body. He does. I'll give him that.
Starting point is 00:17:22 His body is great. I thought Jojo kept him around so long because she felt safe with him. She knew he liked her more than she liked him. For sure. The whole time. The whole time, which was the opposite with Jordan, which is why Robbie made it to the final two
Starting point is 00:17:36 because she knew that if she got like red flags with Jordan in the end, Oh, well, Robbie will definitely stay with her. That's so smart. He'll treat her like a princess. That's why Robbie got so far. He was kind of like the fail safe. 100%.
Starting point is 00:17:51 What did you guys think of his after the final rose teeth? Too much. Did you notice that? No, I didn't. White. Really? White? He got them done.
Starting point is 00:18:01 Well, what was his tan like? I didn't watch it after the final rose. Fake? Well, it was just like maybe he went to too much tanning. No, no, no, no, no, no. The teeth, you can look on his Instagram account now. he did something to his teeth and they're jarring. He's promoting it.
Starting point is 00:18:15 There was also an article on us weekly promoting his new teeth and the dentist. God. Maybe he works for a dentist. I just would love to know a day in life of Robbie is like, because as far as I can tell, there is like nothing going on. Like at all. He's so boring. Is he going to paradise?
Starting point is 00:18:28 I guess not because he went too far on the show. He's not able to. He's not the next bachelor. No way. No, I don't think so either. He'd do well in paradise, I think. His family was really gay. I feel like his family would be good on the.
Starting point is 00:18:40 loved his family. I wish families were a little bit more involved in this show. I would like a little bit more from them somehow. Like I'm always trying to think of ways to like fix the show. And I think that maybe the family should be their first night and then also for the hometown or like at the end. So they can kind of like see the progression. They can like help weigh in on like first impressions. Like what if like Jojo's brothers got to hand out her first impression rose. Like wouldn't that be a cool twist? That would have been fantastic. I would have enjoyed that. Yeah. Like what if you or you like bring like your best friend? Like I just feel like there should be a few more elements like outside of the bubble. to make it seem a little bit more interesting. Family members should definitely give out that first rose. Yeah. Like I just think that would be kind of, that would be like a fun twist.
Starting point is 00:19:18 Or like just one group date in the middle. One of the group dates. Yeah. No, not even night one. Like night three or day three. Yeah, yeah. It's a group date. It's like 10 of the dudes.
Starting point is 00:19:30 And then you're with Jojo's family and you're like, you have to schmooze. Right. You have to schmooze the family. Yeah, that would just be so much better. They'd just be a little bit more family involvement a little earlier. So then also it's like a little more believable at the end. when Jojo's mom is like, I don't know about Jordan. Yeah, instead of she was like, I actually really like
Starting point is 00:19:45 Jordan the first time we met him. Yeah, but now, yes, there's like a point of comparison. She's a larger sample size. That'd be kind of cool. I don't know. Thank you. Next season. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:54 So this is another thing I'm turning my attention to. So we're just really screwed over here bachelor-wise. There's just no good options. I'm very, very disappointed that Josh Murray goes on the Bachelor in Paradise because he'd be a really good bachelor. But wait, can I bring something up about that? Sure. He just did that trashy e-reality show.
Starting point is 00:20:10 We did. Which I have, um, it's with Brandy Glanville and Polly D. Oh, yeah. And I loved Josh Murray. And once he did that, I was like, dude, you're better than that. Yeah, we're really in a tough spot here. I don't know who I'm rooting for. I have no interest in Chase, Robbie or Luke.
Starting point is 00:20:27 I guess Chase would be my pick of those three. Chase? He'd be my mom's pick. And would you like to know why? Yes. When he did hometown dates, my mom was like, oh, he owns his own house. Yeah. Nice.
Starting point is 00:20:40 Well, he's the only one who has a job, basically. Yeah. So that's like a huge plus. But that doesn't make great TV. That doesn't make good TV. So here's a thing. I used to have a podcast at Grandin called The Right Reasons where we talked about this.
Starting point is 00:20:51 I think it's time to really do it where you have two bachelors. And I think it's the only option here because, so they kind of did it with Caitlin and what was her name? That was fake. Britt. Brit. Brit. Poor Brit. For real.
Starting point is 00:21:05 Really pretty. Really pretty. You know, I met them both. Brit was so much better in person that she seemed on TV. Oh, wow. I actually liked her in person. So with Caitlin and Britt, it was only a one-night thing. The guys had to choose, like, who they wanted, and then that person moved on.
Starting point is 00:21:19 I think you do two bachelors the entire time. And then at a certain point, like, it just goes further. And then I think, like, you know, the concede is the same. There's two bachelors. They go on dates. You should split the girls up a little bit more. There's more room for, like, gossiping because the girls can talk about both guys a little bit. So it's not just focused on one of the dudes.
Starting point is 00:21:37 And then I think, like, somewhere before they, like, leave the college. country, like maybe like in week six or week seven or something like that, then the girls have to commit to one guy or the other. So then there's just so much more potential for drama. So then it's like once they've decided they get to a certain point, the two bachelors will split off and like pursue love on their own. And they could be totally screwed because like what if the girl they're really into ends up picking the other guy or something like that.
Starting point is 00:22:00 That's great. I'm all in on that. There's a lot of wrinkles. I love that. There's a lot of wrinkles. I'd be an amazing episode. Thank you. Thanks guys.
Starting point is 00:22:06 Thanks for your support on this hypothetical situation. There's a lot of wrinkles there because like I'm sure. ABC feels like they have to have like a happy ending or like it has to work out in a certain way. But I just feel like this is the only way to go right now. In the absence of a clear choice or even like a decent choice, who would it be? Chase and Luke? I think so. What about my boy Wells?
Starting point is 00:22:25 Okay. If you go on Paradise, you're just qualified. They won't put you on Bachelor. That's true. I forgot. I forgot that Wells is coming up on Paradise. Yeah. Not a great look for my boy Wells.
Starting point is 00:22:33 I thought he had a little classier brand than that. I was really into Wells based on his bio before the show started, but his sallow look for for the entire season, like his yellow skin and his atrocious performance on his 101 day. Oh, that was bad. It really turned me off from Wells. It was a very bad performance. It was a very bad performance. The things that are turning me off from Wells is that he's like very, he's been very clearly, like, self-promoting.
Starting point is 00:22:56 Like, big time. Wells is all about the Wells brand. Terrible performance in the Mentala. What did he do? He tried to hold, he tried to be the peacemaker for, like, everyone else's fights. So be like, Chad, like, you're so rude. And like, dude, you know, you need to relax. And then Wells would be like, guys, I think that everybody here is in the wrong, but we're all friends in the end.
Starting point is 00:23:16 I was like, dude, step off. Yeah. I think you need to move off as well as corner. He's a loser. Damn. Harsh words. He's not only, technically did lose. TBD, though, TBD, because, like, you don't know what he's going to do in Paradise.
Starting point is 00:23:28 He could, he might be great. Redeem himself. Let's talk about paradise. Let's talk about paradise. Let's get into it. Bye, Jojo, by Jordan. Puerto Vallarti to party. Any.
Starting point is 00:23:37 In the immortal words of any. In the immortal words of any. In the immortal. Words Vinny. Vinny. Wait, any final thoughts on the proposals? Jojo's dress was phenomenal. She's beautiful.
Starting point is 00:23:48 Yeah. I think she looked great. One of the most beautiful bachelorette. I think so, too. I just wish she was wearing last makeup. Let those freckles shine, girl. I say this every week, but I just really mean it. Proposals on The Bachelor are always very sweaty.
Starting point is 00:24:00 Yeah. Like they go to the beach. They're in like these tropical conditions and like tropical conditions are great for like the bikini. Not great. Yeah, but humidity is tough. Always very sweaty. always sweaty. So Jordan was, even Jordan, Mr. Cool, profusely sweating. Robbie's sweating so bad he put on socks. I think they made them both wear blue suits so you
Starting point is 00:24:20 wouldn't necessarily know. Oh, see, I took it. Maybe I'm an idiot, but I just took that as blue suits are in. Blueish purple, yeah. Blue suits are in. Why do you want to believe in The Bachelor so much? That's so fascinating to me. I don't believe in their love. I just believe they're like certain things you can take from it. It's like a playbook. It's a playbook for all of us. That upsets me for. for you, Sam. Isn't that a playbook for all of us? No, it's not. Yeah, I don't think. You guys aren't taking little things. Like, oh, that's a good. That was good. That's a good move. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:48 Maybe we should send you to Paradise. See how your playbook works there. Well, obviously, I have to first go. They're the steps. I think that we should be able to throw anyone you want into Paradise. Be like, just like, nomination. That would be really funny. Just like. Nominate viewers. Go. Not many viewers. People from other reality shows.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Someone from the challenge goes to Paradise. widen the pool a little bit. Yeah, exactly. It's almost what Izzy did on Paradise. Just like this random person showing up. It's like, okay, I don't know who that is, but fine, they're in. So the people we get to begin with on Paradise are, I wouldn't say A-Lister. By no means. At all.
Starting point is 00:25:19 We got the Twins, Emily and Haley. Love them. They're great. I can't stand them. Oh, I think that they're, wow, a disagreement between you two. This is tough. I think they're coming out with the new persona than they had on Ben's season. They basically were like one being and Ben's.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Now they're kind of both just like looking for action, splitting up right away. which I support, good for them. They just seem extremely young, which they are, the 21 years old. I think they also are coming in with new enhancements. They're ready for paradise. Interesting. I didn't notice that. Huh.
Starting point is 00:25:54 I disagree. I don't think so. I was watching and I was just like, I didn't notice that about the twins the first time they were here. Huh. They're going to make it fun. They're there to make it fun. They do seem like essential to the vibe because they're chatty. They're kind of bitchy.
Starting point is 00:26:07 They're also, they want to have fun. They seem essential. I can't believe Carly is back. Oh, me neither. Carly, whose brother was also on the show, Zach. He was on Dead's this season, Charlie's Jack, who jumped into the pool. Oh, wow. Carly had her heart broken in Paradise last week.
Starting point is 00:26:25 It's really important to last season. It's really important to note that Paradise lasts for three weeks. So these people don't have a lot of time together, so when they get their heart broken, it's like, well, you're clearly of problems. I believe by my research on Instagram, it's like June 6th. sixth to June 27th. Yes, it's like exactly three weeks. Yeah, it's like to the dot. It's like, okay, then they're out. The most bizarre thing to me about Paradise is how no one seems to gain weight while they're there. Yeah, they're just drinking for three consecutive weeks.
Starting point is 00:26:51 That's a great point. If I was drinking for three consecutive weeks, I would like weigh like double. I would just definitely be bloated and that's into it. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. I don't understand it. Like, is they just stocking with pediolate? Like, what do they do? I just don't get it. There might be a hidden gym. I mean, even so. Definitely a gym. It definitely is a gym. gym, but even so that's not enough. Same thing on the challenge. I don't get it. Oh, they're super humans on the challenge. I don't get it. Yeah. It's really like confusing to me. Okay, so we got the twins. We got crazy cruise ship singer Carly, um, Sarah Heron, who was on, um, Chris Seals season. Sean's season. She's on Sean's. Um, Jubilee, who's strong showing so far.
Starting point is 00:27:36 Very, very present. So let's just say yes. worried for Jubilee. Oh yeah? Yeah, I'm very worried. So she's got our eyes on Jared who's also back. Jared? Friends. They'll be friends. Jared is nothing special whatsoever. And yet he's the hottest commodity in paradise. It's so funny. He obviously, he obviously only goes back because his value is so inflated. His stock is so high there. It's crazy. He's a 10 plus when he shows up on that beach in paradise. But in real life, three, four? Yeah. See it, see and ever? Like, I just, I don't get it. No, he's a downright Paradise A-lister. He's an A-list celebrity on the beach. He's the most desired man. It's crazy. Even one of the twins wanted him. Yeah. Everyone. He also, I think he forgot that this was like a
Starting point is 00:28:18 shirtless show this season because I'm seeing no definition in the stomach. Not a single sit-up done. He's like, I don't need it. Whatever I do, I can't go wrong. Everyone loves me there. He's working, he's on fire. So it doesn't even matter. He's playing a dad-bod card because it is in right now to have a dad-bod. It's true. But he is that that tuft, that tuft of hair. in the middle of his... It's just not... It's very not 2016 stuff that he's doing. It's really confusing.
Starting point is 00:28:43 Of course, he also is Nick Vial, who... I can't believe... Nick says very proudly, I'm 35 years old, and I was just... That's in my notes. Nick is 35. Just thinking, like, dude, get it together. You're closer to 40 than you are to 30. Like, should you be on this show?
Starting point is 00:28:59 No. So you're anti-Nick Vile. Yeah. However, I did like the role he was taking as kind of like... MC. Oh, and he was just veteran stuff from him all episodes. He was like a true veteran. Oh, it was impressive.
Starting point is 00:29:14 He didn't, he didn't commit to anyone or anything too soon. Amanda, a light Amanda. A light Amanda, he like just kind of put his tag on her. Yeah. Uh, Amanda. Because he was holding court. He was holding court with the twins. I loved it.
Starting point is 00:29:26 And Amanda. And like everyone there knew that Nick was not going to hook up with a twin. Like Nick's... He's only double their age. Yeah, it's like no way he's going to hook up a twin. That was a really brilliant way. of him to just lightly tap Amanda. Yeah, I like to do.
Starting point is 00:29:41 These are the things I like about Nick this season. His hair looks phenomenal. I think his looks have depreciated. What? Yeah. His body. Wow, you guys are on opposite sides with the Nick Viall look. Also, conversation.
Starting point is 00:29:56 His wardrobe? A plus. Yeah, he looks good. I love his style. I don't like an unnatural body. Like, I actually kind of prefer Jared. Like, this is who I am. Oh.
Starting point is 00:30:05 Nick, I don't, like, I'm not like, I'm not like Jared's like so hot, but Nick, just like the second he stops working out for 90 minutes a day will lose that body immediately. And I'd rather he just kind of embrace who he is. Like just, you know, 40 minutes of working out to do some light cardio. You don't need to do all the lifting. We don't need to see you doing chin-ups. Like, just be you. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:30:24 He got really heavy in the CrossFit. Yeah. He's really heavy in the CrossFit. It grosses me out. Like it's just not natural. That's why I don't like it. Well, that's interesting. But you think he looks fantastic, right?
Starting point is 00:30:33 I think he looks great. I was looking at his Instagram before this. 35 and better than ever You're like a deep in Bachelor Nation Instagram 35 and better than ever So many men I think get really good around 35 actually I think that's a good trend That's why I'm excited for my future
Starting point is 00:30:46 Your future on The Bachelor as well as He said this before You think you'll peak at 40 Yeah no I'm looking forward to my like my next act In life because I think that What will you be doing your next act? I'm clear well I've always said that if I were If I'm 30 years old
Starting point is 00:31:03 And everything has fallen apart of my life that's when I nominate myself to go on the show on The Bachelor. Like that's my time. What would falling apart in your life mean to you? I have no prospects. Of dating or professional? Professionally. Professionally.
Starting point is 00:31:17 No, no. Professionally. So this is independent of your dating life. This is strictly about your career. This is to get the followers. No, no, it's just about like, like, I'm going, if I sit down one day in my room and I'm like, wow, like I'm legitimately going nowhere. Like, I, no.
Starting point is 00:31:32 This is so dark. No, but this is, I'm doing fine now. I'm saying in the future, if I somehow get to this point, a low moment, I'm like, wow. How old are you? 26. So you have four years until this moment could occur. I have four years to mess it up. I have four years to mess it up.
Starting point is 00:31:45 Wow. But that's fine. You would be old for The Bachelor if you went on at 30. But I look young. Will you at 30 though? Start the green juice now. Guys, we haven't even talked about Chad. Oh my goodness.
Starting point is 00:31:55 Let's just talk about Chad. So he arrives. He's the last arrival. The camera's shaky. It's so stupid. I actually don't like the tone they strike with the show. I wish it was a little bit more earnest like they do with The Bachelor. but anyway.
Starting point is 00:32:07 I don't hear nor there, but okay. I just think that it's like so different than the other two shows. And Chris Harrison remains so earnest, but it's so dumb. Do you like the- And like when he says to Sarah, I really want this to work out for you. Like, I really do. And then they have like this shaky camera when Chad comes in. It just doesn't make any sense.
Starting point is 00:32:27 I'm just like, what are you trying to tell me about your show right now? Do you like the intro package? The like cheesy music. Almost hair. No, I don't. don't. Interesting. I love.
Starting point is 00:32:39 You do. So you guys just like buy into Paradise, too. I think. You're the most supportive watchers I know of this show. I love it. It's fascinating. We're true fans. We're true fans.
Starting point is 00:32:47 It's fascinating. You're like really like supportive of the product. Yes. I think that Paradise, when they are that goofy, is in on the joke. Right. So it makes it okay for me to watch. Who is the joke on? The contestants.
Starting point is 00:33:04 Wow. Yeah. But the contestants are. on it too. I mean, I know that they are. But like, they're on a three-week paid vacation. Yeah. I would be very happy as well. No, I just think it's like the intro, everything's a big wink. Everything's a wink. And I really appreciate the wink. I wish there was more. There's literally a wink in it, isn't there? Yeah. A winky music. Jared maybe winks. Yeah, I think there's a wink. I wish that the bachelor and the bachelorette winked a little more.
Starting point is 00:33:29 Hmm. Hmm. No, I like that they're earnest because that, they are going for true love. Yes, the journey of love. Yeah, I'm down on the true love aspect of the Batcham Bachelorette. Yeah, you believe so deeply in Jordan and Jojo. No, I just think. No, no, I don't believe deeply in their true. I don't think, I don't think they're going to be in true love. I never said that. I want to clear my words. I think that they are recognizing each other an incredible latent power that they've never experienced before as a duo and that they could be together and like do the Good Morning America correspondence thing. They could they could really ride this together. them into like the Clintons of The Bachelor.
Starting point is 00:34:07 Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing. I don't buy it. That's giving them way too much credit. I don't, but in similar to Clintons, I don't see true love. I don't think that it, I think that they just know that together this union is strong. A mutually beneficial relationship. Sure. But it just won't last.
Starting point is 00:34:25 Neither, neither of them has like the fortitude for that. Let me ask you guys a question. Then we'll wrap up. How many more years think The Bachelor and The Bachelor I can go on for? This is what I think. This is my take. I think that Paradise is going to become like the challenge. Right.
Starting point is 00:34:40 And it's going to become the premier franchise. And just as road rules and real world have fallen off, I think there can only be so many Bachelor or Bachelorats. Yeah. I think we're reaching peak Bachelor here. Yes. It just doesn't seem it can get much better for them in terms of popularity. And I think they kind of reached some kind of platonic idea
Starting point is 00:35:02 with The Bachelor with Ben, and they're just never going to hit that again. Do you think they reached a Platonic ideal with Ben or you think you found... I've got a lot of a helpless place. No, I just think that it's hard to find people who can go on the show who are... Like, if they're really good at it, it's hard to imagine they're not using it for some kind of self-promotion. Which most of them are. Yeah. Or they're just really boring.
Starting point is 00:35:26 Like, the thing about Luke is he's so boring. That's why I don't want him to be The Bachelor. Chase is so boring. Yeah. So, like, the people, the pool of people as reality, television is more and more familiar is getting ever smaller. So it's harder to make this work. What do you want in a Bachelor?
Starting point is 00:35:42 Oh, great question. Someone who's really dreamy. Physically. Yeah, physically dreamy. Someone who is like really articulate, but not necessarily like that deep. Because I don't think that plays that well on television. And I'm talking Bachelor, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:58 And someone who's also like just like really game to like try stuff out. I was a good thing about Caitlin as the Bachelorette. She would like do anything and have fun with any activity. Very outgoing. Yeah. And very funny. I think it helps if they have a sense of humor. Like Chris Souls, wamp, wamp.
Starting point is 00:36:13 Yeah, totally. He was the worst. I want a bachelor with a ton of charisma because I want him to drive the girls crazy. I want the girls to be like frothing at the mouth, rabid, like so upset, so worried, so into him that they're like willing to assault each other. That's why I like the twins, because they were like them previously.
Starting point is 00:36:39 No, I don't like the twins. Oh, you don't. I don't like the twins. Their stick doesn't do it for me. Okay. Who was your best bachelor? Well, I love Ben Flanick. I just thought he was fun.
Starting point is 00:36:48 He did make those girls kind of froth at the mouth. He did. It's true. It's because he was very attainable. He wasn't that hot. You don't think he's that hot? No. That floppy hair?
Starting point is 00:36:57 Interesting. Remember he dated Chris Jenner? What? Oh, yeah, they had like a tabloid romance. Google it. Sam and Emily, thanks so much for joining me this week. Thank you. Thanks for having us. I'm Juliette Lemon. This has been Bachelor Party. And don't forget to check out Seekek.com and get some bring our merch. I'll be back next week on Thursday.
