So if you're a natural spender like me, it's always interesting to hear what our naturally frugal friends think about spending their money, where they spend, where they don't spend?
So I went on Instagram and asked, if you call yourself frugal, where is one store, one place, company, website, that you refuse to spend money.
Because that spenders, y'all.
I mean, we're kind of like, well, I don't know.
We'll just see what happens.
But those frugal people, they have convictions and we want to hear it.
So the answers were so fascinating.
So we're going to unpack those together.
Be sure to like, subscribe, and share this episode with a friend.
So as I expected, there were definitely some common themes, some answers that were being repeated over and over again.
So we compiled a list, a top seven list of the answers that you gave, you frugal people out there, where you will not spend money.
And let me know in the comments if you guessed number one correctly.
All right, number seven.
Ready for this?
Nordstrom slash Macy's.
Yeah, you frugal people do not like large department stores because you're like, man, there was some shade out there.
You were like, no, thank you.
I will never shop there because a lot of people said that they can buy from like mall brands second hands.
And you can't.
I mean, whether it's Calvin Klein orugs or whatever you want, if it is on sale at your local department store, you could still go to Poshmark or Goodwill, all of that and be able to find what you need.
All right.
Number six, anthropology slash free people. So did you know that these two brands are actually under the
same owner and with urban outfitters? Yeah. And a lot of people, you know, are like, oh my gosh,
I wish I could shop there, but I won't. I won't. And listen, I get it because their prices are pretty
high. They are. And so for the quality you get and is it overpriced, because you get something
kind of similar at a cheaper price, you know, people have their convictions, what they want. But a lot of
People, yeah, I saw anthropology a lot in the answer.
So people will not shop there, mostly because of the prices.
Number five, Sephora.
So, Sephora was in there for sure at number five.
And, man, it was a big no.
People were not falling for all the masks and the serums and the oils and the makeup,
like all of it.
They're like, no, there are so many non-essential things that you can spend money on in that store,
and I'm going to skip it.
And I will say, if you're trying to pay off debt, you know, or save money,
this is a place that you could skip and you could be okay. Maybe you have like one or two creams
that you use, you know, maybe for the eyes or whatever you need. But it is elaborate. And it is.
Like when I go in, it's very overwhelming. If I have to buy anything, I usually do it online because
I went to the store recently and I'm like, oh my gosh. And I even got suckered in to buying like a
little blush kit. And I was like, shoot. But I did. And I'm a spender, right? But, man,
it could just keep going, going, going, going. So I like that frugal people are like, nope,
just stay away. Number four.
This was a big one.
Ready?
Lulu Lemon.
What a classic.
Yep.
So a lot of people said if they are frugal, they will skip the money.
And for the fraction of the price, get a dupe off of Amazon, and it's totally fine.
And so, yeah, I think there is something about the symbol that people love.
Apparently, it's big, obviously, for adults and women.
Like, we love a symbol.
You know, a lot of people do, so they want to buy it for that.
But it's especially big for teenagers.
And this is what I'm hearing more and more, is that they're like, the teenagers.
don't want the dupes. They want the symbol. They want that symbol. And so may we all fight the
good battle parenting to be like, you are more than just your label. You are more than just your
label. But it's hard. I get it. But it's very expensive, an expensive store. So the frugal people said
no. All right. You're about to get the scoop on where frugal people grocery shop. But first,
I do want to tell you about one of our sponsors, delete me. Those holiday promos can be great.
but with every newsletter sign up and coupon code, your data is out there.

Another sponsor I'm going to tell you about that my family is loving is Minnow.
So we all want our kids watching shows that are fun and safe for them too.
That is why I'm so excited about Minnow.
It has tons of shows that your family will love, especially the Chosen Adventures.
It's a new show from the creators of the Chosen.
It follows a girl named Abby as she has adventures and she makes new friends
and even meets Jesus.
It is so good.
And as a mom, I don't have to worry
because Minnow is ad-free and full of biblical truth.

All right, the third place that frugal people will not shop
is Publix.
So this was a similar message
as the free people anthro one.
But a lot of people are like, oh, I wish I could, but I don't because it is so expensive.
And so it is true.
Publix is a pretty boozy, you know, grocery destination.
Absolutely.
And you are paying for the environment.
You really are at the larger aisles, the very helpful staff that's there.
The way everything is laid out, it's just a boozy experience overall, and you're going to pay for it in the food.
So that's where you choose to spend your money.
That's great.
But if you want an alternative, Aldi, obviously is kind of the opportunity.
in a sense of all of it, but you still get quality food, but much cheaper prices. But yeah,
the grocery shopping, this is a big one, but Publix is a nope for the frugal people.
Okay, number two, kind of surprised me, but targets, a lot of people put targets because
they just said it's too tempting. Like, you go in and they, you know, you can buy anything,
which is true. And it's always a joke. Like, it is a running joke of, okay, I'm going to run
into Target because I need toothpaste and you come out with $150 worth of stuff, right? I mean,
that is, that's the joke because I think they're good at it. I don't know.
Target like knows what they're doing or something. So frugal people, they just stay away from it.
And I'm like, okay, Target. I wouldn't have guessed that, but now I get it. All right.
The number one, most popular answer, by far that kept showing up over and over and over and over and over again.
Ready for this? Whole Foods. So apparently everyone agrees that Whole Foods is an immediate no when you're
trying to be budget conscious. They're like, nope, we are just staying away. And I agree. I think it's
funny the top three were grocery stores, you know, publics and Whole Foods. But I get it because I do think
you can find some great organic, you know, type food at other places. But that whole experience,
it kind of just makes you feel like you're like living on the land or something. I don't know.
It's just like it's a very like wholesome experience when you're in Whole Foods and you pay for it.
You pay for it. And the quality of the products and all of that, I understand are probably like really
great. But you're going to spend a lot of money. And remember, you guys, food is the number one
budget buster. So I love that frugal people are like, oh, yeah, where I can save the most money is
where I grocery shop. So totally makes sense. Ah, frugal people, we love you. We appreciate the tips.
It's good. I'll keep it in my soul as a spender to remember all of this. Okay, when you are working
