So today I'm going to react and rate a list of side hustles based on how likely I would be to try them. It helps you kind of think through some stuff. But there are some really creative side hustles out there. And so let's talk about a couple of them. Number one, doing other people's laundry. So I was on Instagram and there was some real about this woman

Starting point is 00:01:19 who was doing this. And you guys, she was making like thousands of dollars a month by doing it. And so she would literally, people would drop off laundry at her house or she'd pick it up. And she would take an afternoon or after work at night and do laundry, fold it beautifully. like put it right back into their laundry baskets. She like had this like cover over everything to make it keep it all clean. And she would do people's laundry. And it was incredible. Now, the thing is laundry, I don't mind doing like the washing. Obviously, I'm not like hand washing, but having a washer and dryer, that doesn't bother me. I'm not a great folder. Not a great folder. It kind of like kills Winston a little bit because like my towel folding. It's not like perfect. I'm not like OCD about it.

Starting point is 00:02:04 And so I probably would not be great at this. So for myself, I'll probably, like, rate this low, like on a scale from one to ten, I'll give it like a three. If I was really good at folding and enjoyed it, I'd go like eight because I think you could charge a lot for this. Like, I genuinely think you can make so much money doing this. And you could do it when you're home at night. And again, making some extra cash.

Starting point is 00:02:25 I think it's really creative and great. Number two, lawn care and landscaping or just watering other people's plants. Okay, people pay for this. guys, it's amazing, just to mow some yards, do some stuff like that. You can make some quick cash doing this. Now, I probably, again, I'm not OCD. I'm not detailed, so I probably wouldn't be great at this. Now, watering plants all day. Or we have people in our neighborhood that have these big gardens, and they will, like, text out and be like, hey, does someone have, like, a teenager to come over and, like, help with the garden, like, while we're gone, like watering everything,

Starting point is 00:03:00 picking stuff. I'm like, oh, I could do that. I would do that. So I'll give that. I'll give that. rating for me like an eight because I think I could really do that and you can make some great money love it number three detailing people's car seats okay I'm not OCD but I can I like cleaning something like think about all of the crumbs and the stains and like oh my God kids are so gross I know it we had car seats for so long and oh my gosh there's so much in those staying car seats where the seat belt goes underneath the seat you got to slam it you know lock it in and all of it stuff gets in there so gross. I mean, it's so gross. But people will pay to have these things clean because people don't want to clean home. No. So all day, all day I will take it. Now, make sure that you

Starting point is 00:03:44 follow the proper cleaning guide based on each car seat. Make sure you're doing that because, again, there's really like specific ways, especially if there's certain materials. So make sure you're doing it correctly and you don't damage the integrity of the car seats. But all of it, I don't know, it's so satisfying to me. And it didn't it weird because like I could clean people's car seats and it it all gross me out. I don't know why. I guess I'm just used to it. So I'm going to give it a nine. Because I think I can do a good job. If not OCD, I like seeing progress. I'm like, oh yeah, this is dirty now it's clean. Kind of like it. All right. Number four, organizing closets and pantries. Now this is also very satisfying. And this has kind of become a trend. Thank you, Home Edit.

Starting point is 00:04:23 I feel like they like kind of started this like 10 years ago, made it really cool. But a lot of people are creating, like, their own businesses around it and in their area. And I think it's great. So if you feel like, oh my gosh, I'm really good at, you know, managing clutter and you're like really good at making something beautiful, this could be your gig. Going in and organizing closets and pantries and all of it. Fantastic. I'm going to give it a five. I don't know how great I would be at this, but it sounds really satisfying and great. Starting point is 00:05:33 That's chmistries.org slash budget. Number five, selling sourdough or other baked goods. So a lot of people are on this trend, and it's incredible. Like people that can do this and they do it really well, like people flock to them. I mean, it's amazing. And so I love it. I would say, man, for me, I don't know how great of a baker I am. I'm going to go six or seven.

Starting point is 00:05:57 Like, I think I could really do this. But people make, and they do like stuff for parties or baby showers, like, you know, specialized cookies and all of it. So it's a great side hustle. Number six, food prep. There are so many people that want to eat home-cooked meals because they're just slammed at work or they don't want to cook when they get home. And so if you can package and prep meals for people, that is an easy way to make some extra

Starting point is 00:06:20 cash. And I've heard people do this. And it's incredible that you can just like hire someone and be like, hey, I need, you know, four different meals. and some of them can be frozen too, so you like make a batch, and they can be split up into like three different lunches. This one can be two different dinners and like all this stuff, incredible. I'm going to go eight out of ten on that one. I like it. Number seven, cutting kids hair. So if you are a quick learner with a good eye and you love kids, this could be a skill that pays off in the

Starting point is 00:06:46 long run if you invest in some training because it is like, I mean, supply and demand. Hair is always going to be growing. And when you go to kids-specific people, there's something about it that they're really good because they have like stuff usually like around or they've like I remember this one lady went to and she had an iPad literally. The kids watch as she cut their hair and they didn't even know that was happening. They knew nothing. They were just watching an iPad. I was like, that's so brilliant. You know what you're doing with kids. It's incredible. So I like that. Yeah, I'm going to go, I mean, six or seven. Love it. Number eight placeholders. One of our team members that told us that her brother and his friend made money by standing in line for people at the DMV.

Starting point is 00:07:27 I mean, what? And there's an app, too, apparently, that you can, if people, like, want to get into a restaurant or get into a concert or something, they will wait in line for you. And you pay them to do it all day. I mean, I'll get my steps in, move back and forth, listen to a podcast or something. I would write this in eight or nine because, I mean, people will pay to get their time back. So I love it.
