Starting point is 00:01:48 This week's video is sponsored by Acorns, the money app that makes it simple and cheap to make small yet significant investments. We're excited to watch us. Let's go. Episode 4 of Allison Borderland, 321, I click. Ah, it's some good juice right there. Oh, my goodness. Okay, oh, my God. If you're listening to us on Apple or Spotify, give us a five-star rating.
Starting point is 00:02:19 Obviously, do the YouTube stuff. Like, comment, subscribe. Ring the bell. Ring the bell. Um, wow, I love this freaking show, dude. So, I love this freaking show. I love it. Saturday.
Starting point is 00:02:35 All right. So we do have some questions here, which we'll just dive right into. Resonant Z. Seeing as how far the rules for every game are a secret until the game starts, how would you strategize prepare for each one? Would you go in with a group or solo? also suspect CGII aside I loved episode four the tunnel so great excellent day there's no way I would have been able to keep up with all the running no no I would have said it I'd be out I'd be done glad you guys are enjoying this show with the longer sitting today yes yes we it's a late night here um wow okay yeah are a secret till the game starts how would you start how would you prep for each one that's tough that's tough because we don't know we don't every game is different i think it would just you can prep really uh it would be like do math and i prep by staying in that bus in episode
Starting point is 00:03:40 four true that true that i'd read like oh it's goal okay yeah maybe do some push-ups like try to probably let's face it if i was at the beach i'd be raging too forget about it we're all gonna die might as well get drunk yeah i mean i don't know man i that's a tough one because the beach is there and now i'm like i don't know yeah and everybody died so do i have this do i even have the energy to do push-ups probably not i don't think so yeah i think i'm i'm a goner but yeah i'm a mom garner sorry but i would definitely go with a group though would you go solo or with a group i'd have to go with a group yeah i would want yeah i'd want the numbers on my side for sure yeah you could to fight for. And we learned in the second game, got to have two people to hit it to hit it.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Exactly. Especially from an experience like that, I'd want to have people on my side, definitely. Totally. Numbers is a good thing in this world. Yeah, what about you? And I think I would definitely go with the group. And I also did love the, even though CGI side, I did not mind that at all. The Panthers, the tigers, all that looked amazing in episode four. I agree with you. and yeah you don't know how you'd prep right
Starting point is 00:04:55 I think I'd just eat and probably not get wasted but like I would definitely probably keep up my stamina getting more and shape you more prepared in between the games and my visa days before I have to play again I think that's probably be the most ideal thing
Starting point is 00:05:14 totally oh here's what I'll do I'll just say Sorry, guys want to say. Okay. All right. Okay. There's no way I would have been able to keep up all the run.
Starting point is 00:05:39 Yeah, we wouldn't either. We said we'd be gone or so. And we appreciate that you appreciate residency. So thank you for sending the question. Next one is from Angela Vance. Do you think you could make it playing? I would try. I know one thing it's crazy, but awesome to watch.
Starting point is 00:05:58 Do you think you could make it playing? I would try. I know one thing it's crazy. Yeah. Essentially more or less what the last person asked. Thank you for the question, by the way. Yeah. I don't think I would make it playing.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Not very far. But, you know, it is crazy to watch. I do agree. and yeah i'd rather be a watcher than a participant personally i love this i like to see where we're at it's real sad i was real sad in those first three episodes and a little bit in the fourth episode but yeah i'm i'm comfortable with where we're at right now in relationship to the games here yeah i agree we do have a clearer vision except we're separated from our you know uh on sue on on on what his name our guy is separated from our girl right i forget their names they're separated they're a
Starting point is 00:06:53 good group and now we do have a little tension between blonde guy and the girl and the girl's like she feels sorry for an isu and i'm glad because that means she might go save him which i hope we'll have to see um i i don't i think i already said i don't think i would make it playing except what was the okay we had the water and the bus that was our last one right that was our last game before this the 10 of hearts yeah because five was more so about like the montas giving a sex position yeah the beach was about that's right because they no we did have the uh the game with the light bulbs in episode five the light bulbs see i i i would have taken me a minute because i was like they went through the instructions and i'm reading
Starting point is 00:07:45 the subtitles going wait okay you can close the door turn all the lights on yeah and then when it's open and a light is on that you only get one chance but if somebody's in there you can't close the door there was just a lot going on in my brain yeah I don't that was a lot of exposition and rules going into it so I definitely understand there's a lot to keep up I would be like wait give me a minute so somebody's in there I would need like a minute to be like a minute to be like let me think this through um i i honestly think if we started with game two episode two i would have maybe made it with the horse um the other games no like the distance no not going to make it running the water i can swim but the tsunami coming at you that'll kill you oh that's tough
Starting point is 00:08:39 especially with cars hurled up in later that'll kill you that you're done for you're done for Yeah, it's a wrap. All right. Thomas Allman says, I watched this. I enjoyed it, but never watched Squid Games, which is better. That's a toughie. Well, it's interesting because I think I really enjoyed episodes one through four. One through three is like its own little, like, chunk, right?
Starting point is 00:09:04 Because it's about the three, the relationship with the guys. And then four is kind of setting the new precedent for where we're at. And then five is setting another new precedent with the B. and then six is like that new president plus we're returning to the games stakes are upped again now i yeah i would say three is probably my favorite um it's yeah it'll probably be oh that's tough so what was the what was the question again it was which which is better or this not but to give the episodes sure yeah yeah um four was a phenomenal episode that was with the panther right right yeah so yeah that was dope
Starting point is 00:09:47 I'm going least favorite I'd probably go five is my least favorite then then two one uh two yeah
Starting point is 00:10:06 five two one three four four three three's at the top three's at the top three is still the best episode to me what was three that's when his freaking friends died yeah dude savage that was three i thought it was two the wolf the mirror yeah the mirror yeah and four was the bus you know you know the mirror um okay that was whack yeah you're right this is now i'm gonna actually answer your question he's going off on a left turn there um i actually believe at this time
Starting point is 00:10:44 I the newest season of squid games which I believe is season three I haven't seen two and three um I have I've seen two but I haven't seen season three all I will say is that season three it started off a little it got to some points but I feel like the story in this with the writing has pulled me in at a quicker rate season three of squid game I kind of fell I fell off a little bit well i only watched an episode and then episode two i think is when i started to fall off okay and i went i don't know if i care as much because it's not as new right when we first watch squid game you're like what the hell is going on here season one was a cultural phenomenon totally and we all loved it and now we're two was also good that was and there's some fun games in three there is but it's sort of we're we're still dealing with a bit of the the same characters and there's there's a little more world building here that I think has pulled me in and so I will I will say that squid game season one just as like woof and phenomenal as
Starting point is 00:11:58 as this Allison borderline season one is is taking taking me out I'm like this is a good show this is great I could not guess a move that they would make same as squid game you're like what They're dying, right? That was such a shock to people. Some people, like, I talked to them. I was like, y'all watch the game awesome, right? And there were some friends that were like, oh, I couldn't. I turned it right off.
Starting point is 00:12:23 Because the game, when they start killing people, people were like so shook by it. But that's, again, proof in the pudding here. They do not give an F. This is not how America writes. They're like, we're going to take your life and we'll show you. We don't care who you are. Yeah, it's tough.
Starting point is 00:12:40 And I feel like the fact that there is definitely, some crossover, you know, between the Korean show Squid Games and the Japanese show of Allison Borderland, about, you know, people put in situations having to survive. But, yeah, I think, just from my recollection, I think I have to go with this show because it does keep you on your toes and a sense of diversity and unpredictability to the show. Granted, they had that as well in Squid Game, but because of the nature of the show and there's still so much to learn, also progressing the plot I think this one is extremely impressive
Starting point is 00:13:16 but squid game is also great and I've only seen the first season but I agree yeah I would have to say that I agree and season two of squid is still great and three I don't know if I was in a mood and just got got over it or something I know I will return to it but this show has really as blown my socks off I love it I'm a rejignation I'll be honest
Starting point is 00:13:37 money has always made me anxious if I'm low on money I stress out about how will I make more? And if I actually have money, I stress out about, I'm afraid I'm going to lose all this. That's why I've made a discipline, a real discipline. Not just to manage money, but change how I relate to it. And that's where something like Acorns comes in. This, it is today's video. Yes, it is today's video sponsor. And Acorn is something that before we ever agreed to work with them before I ever agreed to sign up with them is that we had a testimony from someone here behind the scenes who told me a story about how Acorns actually got them out of a big, financial ditch they were once in. And I can see why. Acorns is a financial wellness app that makes investing feel approachable, even automatic. It helps you invest for your future, safe for tomorrow, and spend smarter today. I honestly just love checking the app a few times a month, watching how it builds.
Starting point is 00:14:56 There's a sense of glee I get from it. More importantly, a sense of calmness that I'm not used to associating when it comes to money. So Rejagnation, if you want to support a little bit of that financial brain, help it build for your future. You can sign up now and Acorns will boost your new account with a $5 bonus investment. Starting point is 00:15:38 You guys rock. Thank you. All right. Gail Ferguson says, who's your favorite character so far? I mean, the blonde kid is pretty, he's pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:15:50 He's like, you don't ever, never know where he lies, unbothered. Unbothered as hell. I really like our lead. I think he's still really great. I like her climber girl.
Starting point is 00:16:01 Climmer girl's great as well. The crazy dude with the sword. We don't know much of a bad. him but I dick his book. He's very weird. Yeah, I'm gonna go with our main duty. He has a lot of heart and he's finding a way to persevere in the face of such great loss. Yeah. And yeah, he's just kind. He didn't have to go back for that other guy. But his kindness and his heart is the reason why they survived in the first place. He's the only selfless one here really, kind of a little bit. Like the most 100% selfless is him. Yeah. And his new reason for living is to make sure that other people.
Starting point is 00:16:36 People don't die. Other people, primarily his new chick, his friend. Yeah. Dang, dude. If only he knew, you just got to rock your body weight, buddy. We got to break the chair. The chairs wouldn't. Maybe, you know, and then, like, jump.
Starting point is 00:16:53 That's how you do it. That's a lot of touch. And then you sit and you, but his hand, you can get your legs through. And then somehow we figure it out. I got ideas, guys. You know what? ideas we can i would like to see you try to do what you're saying listen episode three it brought in mirror this episode i'm telling you move that chair let's let's get to work here got the solution okay
Starting point is 00:17:17 i'm telling you don't come to me with a problem unless you want a solution from me to you've got you got you got to do in case of situations like this you got to like you got to get like a razor blade just like so totally and just always have it there yeah so that way you can break out of any rope or any duct tape that would be that would actually be really smart if there's a way that they could start embedding weapons under their skin for around these militia guys.
Starting point is 00:17:45 Yeah, yeah. I was going to say like just in life. I know, just unusual, which I'm down for it. I'm down. You can't go to airports anymore. You can't go to airports anymore. You can't scan, beep, beep, what's in there? They got to cut it out.
Starting point is 00:17:57 You're bleeding all over the floor. You can miss your flight. Well, yeah, you miss everything. If you bleed out. Not just your flight. The rest of you. your life as well. Thanks to TSA.
Starting point is 00:18:11 Boo. Yeah. Yeah. Got to have it. Gotta have it. Keeps us safe. So, yeah, I feel like we answer that. But I'm loving this show.
Starting point is 00:18:20 A lot of them are great. Okay. Christopher Symec. How are the players chosen? How do they decompress and relax after? Clearly, clearly they party. I'll ask PLD if there's any more questions. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 00:18:35 Clearly they, uh, they, party and yeah they they obviously don't go to therapy because there's no therapy in this world least we don't know there's a therapist that survived as of yet but i imagine it would be real real tough um to get get through it and decompress uh i'll try to find some some spots that seem cozy maybe another hotel that isn't the beach and uh yeah partaking the the luxury experiences of of those facilities then the hotel doors would be locked Maybe not. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:19:08 I'd go into some nice house to see if the fridges. No, fringes don't work. I'd go to a grocery store and get the canned goods and go to a fire, make a fire at the beach and just, you know, just find some other body of water to hang out at and just, you know, wait by my time until I have to play again until it's over. Yeah, man. What's you doing? I mean, I'm with you on that. It's like, why does the beach have, they have electricity?
Starting point is 00:19:32 So at that, that's why they have the fresh food, which we saw great. and the champagne and it's cold and we can drink and that's a plus um so i guess i would beach it up but decompress i would go into a room and just shut the door and everybody can fuck off and then i guess maybe have a glass of wine because people are dying i don't drink at home alone but like whatever we're going to do it and then if we have electricity at the beach then we we can watch something that's true we can watch something there's an option watch some tv decompress i'm not mad at that's going on a little reality tv you know me i like the reality that's what i react to on my channel probably that because reality tv is like nothing you just don't even
Starting point is 00:20:21 it's just so mindless um and how are the players chosen um let's see i think he did it It probably would be the newest, so go up. Up? Yeah, because he would have just posted it and said you only have a few, maybe right after this one? Maybe not. Okay. I don't see where he would.
Starting point is 00:20:50 Me neither. Well, I don't know. That's why the thing is there. We'll tell him that if you guys have more questions for us for episodes like 4 through 6, we'll answer them. He can add them to 7 and 8. we can answer those um but how are they chosen was the question they were like how are the things chosen i'm not sure if you're asking how are the players chosen yeah yeah we should be thinking
Starting point is 00:21:20 about that how the hell are they chosen that's right how are they right why are those people the ones who are still kicking it well because i was thinking because when we first went to the beach There was a lot of young people, a lot of young fit or hot people, right? And I'm like, I'm thinking back to that second game. There is some older people in there. There was. Yeah, so maybe these are just the people that have made it. But it's been a variety of different people, different ages of life.
Starting point is 00:21:49 And the first girl. The first girl. Laser was old as hell. He's old as hell. The first girl who died was a high school chick. Yeah. High school girl. So, yeah, we, I think it's just really the people that have made it thus far is how.
Starting point is 00:22:02 well that's not doesn't say how they're chosen yeah how they're chosen i'm not sure maybe they all had a hard time in life but it's yeah because because at first three characters remember no job no job homeless homeless yeah almost by choice yeah no job overworked job overworked nobody like likes him and he's a virgin maybe it's the people that are dissatisfied with their their current circumstance and that's how it brings them in there and now they have the will to live because of the We just figured it out because if there's no will, then you might as well die anyway. This is just teaching them to appreciate life. That's all this game is for.
Starting point is 00:22:44 That's why they chose them. We know it's not that because the game will freaking kill you. It will. But I feel like we could be right about what I just said. We could be. Only time will tell, Tara. We have two episodes of season one and a whole second season. So maybe the answer is good
Starting point is 00:23:05 I'm excited I'm hyped This is good stuff Well do you have any last thoughts No They landed on a crazy note with episode six So I'm just really hyped to find out what the hell Happens in these last two episodes of season one
Starting point is 00:23:20 Because how you go end like that? That's crazy That's wild If this is a week to week show I'd be mad as hell Me too Matt I'll be Oh not I would not be
Starting point is 00:23:29 I'd have to find something else to like fill the need in the interim before I get to the next yeah that would be tough um this show is great it's now like I it's a show I'm going to be like have you watched Alice in borderland right this is what have you seen it because if you haven't I don't know where you do with your life and we watch so many things here that we're not I don't talk about my job I don't really talk about the things that I've watched I talk about maybe reality i'm watching on my channel because it's like nothing to do with like work work but this when you watch something like this you talk about yeah house and borderland i've been sleeping on this
Starting point is 00:24:12 and i'm happy that you know they had us react to this because yeah yeah i knew nothing about this going in and yeah i get why i think this is a popular show um but yeah i'm excited to talk about people that know and have them smile and look at me and tease me about the things i don't know yet and then I will watch them and be able to rejoice in that knowledge with them when we get to finishing. When we get there, we love you guys, do all the YouTube stuff, and get your shirts, RejectNationShop.com, support us there. We love you. We'll see you on the next one. Deuces.
