heads up reject nation so thank you first of all for everyone who's been joining us for our cane
but next week is of course the finale of this amazing series
uh due to some circumstances we might be a tad later than usual to posting so just wanted to give a heads up
we're going to do our best to get up all three episodes of course by the weekend but i just wanted
to give you guys a heads up in advance so please do subscribe and click that notification bell to get
notified when those reactions are up all right let's see what's going on
wow wow wow that was beautiful that was a beautiful episode damn that was that was tough so who knows
maybe they're all right love that last shot because uh you know she feels that her fate
that vander's fate was in her her hands of what she did in episode three of act one of season one
and then to watch this little girl isha isha born from being inspired from
jinks to have like them both there at the end as jinks goes to try to save them i just only imagine how
this show might springboard it back because it seemed like jinks was on this like that was the part
that was worrying me jinks was just too good on the path yes and now it seems like she might see
springboarded back just a little bit more towards the uh right this was just probably just do a number
on her psyche uh that much more but there's just so much that happened in here and so little time to
talk about it all um but yeah what else john what else you got for me john
No, yeah. I mean, I certainly wonder myself, I mean, I love that you kind of have both of their best qualities represented in Isha there at the end.
But I mean, yeah, this episode did a really great job of encapsulating exactly what Victor's talking about at the end.
It has all that sort of like immense beauty, but then the counterweight of immense ugliness.
And, you know, these motivations that you know are all sort of causing this big web of tensions that can only.
boil over if everyone's here and yeah I just love the way they visualized and
and sort of spiritualized the whole state that Victor is in you know out in the
cosmos as just like yeah truly woven into the fabric of the universe with
sky at his side and all that stuff and and yeah I mean this was like the most
hopeful beautiful I think the show is felt in a lot of ways and I love that they
brought in this like sort of religious commune aspect um and you know anything like that that is
as comforting as it is has to be destroyed somehow but uh yeah i don't know it's just like
the journey of where we've been up till now to get to here it just feels so vast and uh yeah that was
just terrific i thought it was a really terrific episode like there's a i forget somebody said
something in the episode about vastness and uh i don't know that just seems like the word to describe
this episode is vast yeah uh i'm trying to go back to this one moment in season and episode two
of when like the first time victor and then victor and jace like interacted with each other
anyway no yeah i i think that this it plays on so much this one episode while jace has been kind of
of like a presence that hasn't really been around for a lot and makes the impact of what he's
going through more haunting because we actually don't really know like all the all the strain
that's happened to his body or what exactly is going on with him what he's been corrupted by or
maybe there's something that's telling and maybe he's right who knows uh doesn't look that way
but that leaves just that much more of an impact is a mystery behind what is going on with jason
and the action is taking him what told us will bring on him like he's done so much
of his time as a scientist trying to save Victor and now he goes and annihilates him thinking he's doing
the right thing and still three more episodes left sometimes it gets unpacked we don't know
maybe there's something right what he's doing I don't know um but then like thematically this
episode is constantly talking about how you can't really have one without the other that essentially
in the most simplistic of terms that if there's bad on the opposite side there's going to be good
if there's love there's going to be fear so this was exploring that
side of humanity and our emotions. And I love the astral plane cosmos side of it because there's so much
of the talk about like quantum physics with our bodies are kind of like a false physical
reality in a sense and that we are just made of atoms and energy and all this fun stuff that
just gets repurposed back to the world. And that is like the kind of transparent way they were
sort of traveling through the light and where there's quote unquote souls really were.
and bringing this episode back to the age-old argument of what this show first posed of science and magic,
aka science versus faith or science and religion, whatever you want to call it,
but it's like, okay, spiritual beliefs, do you believe in fate?
Can fate be proven via through science?
Things of that nature, or is it just evolution and things you can predict via through science of the way things go?
So it keeps raising like a lot of debates, but most importantly, beyond all that,
while it's being very heady in its sci-fi aspect it's still very character-driven and nuanced
via through the characters of what they're giving up that's like the best part about having
violet and jinx is their story in spite of everything around them with constantly like
you know undercity classism and science you you kind of have like its main core that it grounds
all of this in with, at the end of the day, the people who suffer the most out of failures
or terrible consequences are just people, people who feel, people who go through actual
physical ailments, people who really suffer at the hands of those achieving or seeking
greatness, seeking power. And I think this episode really just hammers that in, you know,
like watching jinx who finally has this child who she really feels like she's got in a different
perspective on life with and even violet who feels like she has her dad back and then even
is making amends with katelyn but because of these actions that are taking in the pursuit of power
uh more destruction comes their way and it traumatizes them and destroys them internally
like i i thought this was a very very strong episode and a strong way to end uh
this one off on because it kind of was the one that encapsulated all things about arcane to me
in a way that was very efficient and devastating while being beautiful because that's what the show
does it's devastating but in order to have the devastation you've got to have the absolute
wonder and joy and that's what the show that's what this episode was talking about thank you to huell
for sponsoring today's video now guys i'm going to give you all the god's honest truth of how this sponsorship
came to be sponsorship came to be we got contacted about basically partnering up with huel before we
agreed to anything the very first thing i said was i would like to try the product first i did a
instagram post on our real rejects one it was the first time you see me trying the huel product
basically going like hey we might not partner with them this is not a paid instagram post but i just
wanted to try it since a lot of you guys asked for like health recommendations now and the no kind of
what i take only because of the fact that i'm vegetarian i have very limited protein options so i gave
a shot and ended up loving it primarily the chocolate one wow this is really this is a really great one one of the best things about it is that yes it's pre-packaged and a lot of times when it comes to like the pre-packaged bottles i'm not a big fan of them normally which he got me drinking on camera is one of these which takes a very long time to put together and can often get messy and it's just not aesthetically pleasing but i'm trying to pack like a lot of vitamins and fiber protein the best part about hule is a lot of what i try to package to this one giant shake is already a
available in this little bottle often tastes better than what I can actually assemble myself.
It actually tastes great. It's got a high protein intake count as well. And you know what?
Brad new bottle. If you guys can see, it's filled to the top. This is how good it tastes.
Now, normally, what you want to do is spread it out. But if you want it in one go,
it is just as good. It tastes
really freaking good. Thank you so
much for sponsored in this video. The one thing they want
me to say is this is you can get 15%

so join me on this health journey.
And you have to believe in the possibility of, you know, whatever salvation is being presented
you and that whole thing where Vi and Jinx are both like, we could live down here, you know,
like we could live here with Vander, you know, Monster Vander, whatever.
Warwick.
Warwick, there you go.
Yeah, I don't know, like, yeah, everything kind of converging on one point.
It's like there's so much happening in this episode and yet it felt so graceful and all the
moments are so well chosen and, you know, even the thing with Ambessa.
and that, you know, like the way that they played that was really nice
because, you know, it allows you to kind of, I think they did the switcheroo
of the ruse really nicely because you don't really know.
They didn't telegraph it too hard.
And then, yeah, it all comes down to this wild card of Jace.
We're all fine until Jace comes in and takes out Victor and...
The spit really sold it.
It did, yeah.
The spit was the thing that made me go, it's not a ruse.
See, that was the thing that made me go, I won't.
wonder if this is part of the roots.
Like, but no, it's like, yeah, it's like it's a really good crossroads because it could push
you in either conclusion.
And they've really sold the head on revenge, aggressive, stubbornness that Caitlin has been
forming.
Yeah.
The way the revenge has been blinding her and her pursuits.
And it has started off with, I'm even being trained by her now.
And Bessa at the very top, like, oh, my God, we know what Embesso's like.
Well, yeah.
It really sells you.
Oh shit, Caitlin's way gone now.
She's a great fulcrum for that moment because in that moment, you're like,
I could absolutely see how Caitlin would understand what this means.
Like, oh, to save my dad, like, that's, even if we have grown a great divide, that's important,
and that'll speak to my humanity.
Or is my humanity so far gone that I'm going to use this to my advantage?
And so, like, yeah, it sells that most certainly.
And the last thing I want to point out, I mean, yes, it's really easy to just go, like, it's beautiful.
and then constantly pointed out what makes these animations beautiful so yes absolutely the the real last thing is that the the music in this show is it's a lot of times you know you find needle tracks in series that help elevate it the music in this show from composed to needle tracks to whatever it may be is so well thought out it helps really drive the narrative and it's the it's a big part of what helps like because we are spanning so much time in this season
If you think about it, like the way we skip over stuff and there's a lot of characters and some we just haven't checked in.
We haven't even seen Echo in a while.
You know, there's a lot of characters we haven't really been checking in with.
And it's Hemerdinger and the way they are handling their focus at the moment, a lot of that is saved by the ability by the animators and the music combined to tell visual, to have visual storytelling, literally that is just playing sensory-wise instead of relying on dialogue or staying with scenes.
Like, you're doing a lot of passages of time, and it's really helping to still get the emotion and story across due to those two departments.
So I think in terms of storytelling and crew, that is amazing.
That's part of the true magic is the way that they tailor the visuals to the emotional and the thematic tonality, like all that watercolor stuff combined with the music.
Like, it's truly every frame feels crafted in the most beautiful way.
Absolutely.
