Starting point is 00:01:47 no it's not super is clearly a part one actually I thought it was gonna just jam it all in a one yeah I know I like the I actually think the ability up to the fight with Paku was really well done and i thought there was a catharsis to them going toe to toe with each other i don't remember the details of the animated show fight i do remember thinking this is that's a pretty cool fight and then i thought the same thing here i was like yeah it's pretty cool fight because there's actual emotion to the fight you know and visually it's cool too and i think in terms of like adapting a fight from animated to here i think it's way better than the boomy fight and there's there's actual like serious there's real context to it and more layers for

Starting point is 00:02:27 for them than when it comes to Ang and Boomy. And the water trap looks cool. I really like, I gotta confirm that's Amber Mid Thunder before I keep asking you. You're asking me like I know who this person is. But no, she is, what's the character's name?

Starting point is 00:02:46 Moon, Fox Girl? The princess. I forgot her name. I don't know. I think she's very, I mean, you said you prefer her with Suki? I prefer Saka with Suki. I mean, yeah, you know what I meant. Yeah, yeah.

Starting point is 00:03:04 You prefer Saka with Suki? Yes. Yeah, yeah, she plays Princess Huey. U-A. U-A. Well, I personally thought they worked, these two actors work, there's more, well, it's a different character, though, too. You're going to get a different kind of dynamic and chemistry.

Starting point is 00:03:22 And I think she sounded very natural. It's a very larger-than-life regal kind of role and i think that she sounded incredibly natural in the role i thought she was a really good casting yeah i think she's great casting i think most of the casting has been really well so far and even from boomie weird old man makeup to this guy's old man makeup is way better old man makeup i don't think it's supposed to be as old well i think boom is supposed to be like crazy old yeah boomie's supposed to be like you should be put down old you know put him in the home yeah like regal old yeah

Starting point is 00:03:55 You can still drive, you know? Yeah, and there's some good body language performances, too. And I think the landscape of all this looks really cool as well. I'd like the environment. I'd like the setting. Saka continuing to kill it. I wish we got more Fire Nation this episode. I don't recall in the animated show of Zhao being like a little bitch.

Starting point is 00:04:16 But I love that he's a little bitch here. I think it works so well. What do you mean by little bitch? I don't think he's a little bitch. Because he's like, you have never been in a battle. And he's just like a conniving guy. I don't think that emulates being a little bitch. He often tries to take more credit than what he actually has earned.

Starting point is 00:04:32 It's still not like a little bitch. You say a little bitch. I would assume like there are like a coward and scared. A bit cowardly? Or is it clever? No, I don't know. I feel like it's politicianlike. I feel like it's very politician like.

Starting point is 00:04:47 Take more credit for things they don't deserve credit for. Smarmy. She likes politicians apparently. He's very political. He's every politician you can meet off the streets tomorrow. You're right, you're right. And I see I wrote it so much crap online. I am actually wanted to say it during this thing. I really, I'll dial it back. Let me reel it in. I don't understand the dislike for him.

Starting point is 00:05:23 And I think you all are stupid. I think he's a great actor. I'm very emotionally invested. And I think you all just want to copy-paste, animated version of a little chubby grandpa where he's just doing just a great job as the Uncle Iro here. So I think you all are wrong, and I am right, as usual. And I think you all have mental issues. and I'm well aware you'll cut this out and I don't care.

Starting point is 00:05:58 No, I'll keep it. It's funny. But I don't understand the hate. Like it is so many comments. And I'm like, there's plenty of other things in this show to dislike, to be quite honest with you. To harp on this Iro, who I think is one of the more emotionally strong actors here is really insane to me because I feel like that is the prejudice of wanting. the animated show version they're so attached to a certain version that it's skewing their opinion on everything else right I mean you're not wrong because it often

Starting point is 00:06:35 comes down to what they don't like and it's like well they're not doing this thing that Iro did in the anime it's usually what that's usually what I see where I'm like people love Saka I mean they do love Saka Saga's a little different so it's not a one-to-one Zuko I feel like Saka's completely a lot different Zucco is nothing not this like Zucco is it was exceptionally more angsty in and uh

Starting point is 00:07:01 winy and like yeah they've really softened him up a lot for especially for season one in a way that really works for the version they're telling this is a more adult serious tone of a show so it makes sense that Ira would have more

Starting point is 00:07:18 of a subdued personality than the animated version and yeah like they're introducing the elements of the trauma he's inflicted and and the consequence like it's a whole thing with like attending his son's funeral and it could and uh which i thought that soon i just thought it was great and it's and it's more about how's the chemistry has the relationship with him in zucco more than anything else and they do a great job with them but their chemistry yeah whereas there's other characters here where i'll reserve that

Starting point is 00:07:52 There's stuff that I just don't care about in here. I'm like, okay, this show has totally left me checked out on certain elements that are so important to be. Me too. I really, I really think the show is going to pick up for season two. It's going to get, I imagine it'll get picked up for season two. I feel like it's being watched well that it'll get. And they will hopefully listen to the criticisms that people have. Yeah, because this show has a lot of love right now from audiences.

Starting point is 00:08:18 There's also a camp that really doesn't love it, obviously. but there is enough of a love and enough of yours and I think they can there's there's stuff here where they can absolutely improve the writing certain characters I am fascinated because I have seen some comments on Twitter and this stuns me that they think the M Night Shyamalamalamalam film is better I don't listen to that that's that's what happens all the time that's what I cannot believe I'm like shook that's that's that's that's That's just what happens. But it happens every time.

Starting point is 00:08:53 That's just every time when something else comes out. And then they just go back to the previous and everyone hanging it. It happens like all the comic book movies. It's annoying. It's the second you said the MNight show. I was like, yeah. Like, I've seen so many comments on Twitter. I'm like, what the hell is this?

Starting point is 00:11:26 know nothing about Avatar or we're huge fans of Avatar door from beginning to end we're going to watch this and want to see what the tip of so we're more like I can kind of remember let's go in but I think

Starting point is 00:11:37 I think people should be more appreciative of that that we have this fence sitting quality right now honestly because I think it puts us in a non-biased opportunity. But no, people want what they want. And so they're going to whine and complain online like they do

Starting point is 00:11:57 and expect me to care, which I don't. It just amuses me that my opinion or my lack of remembering something from four years ago bothers people so much. And it's the way it goes to get used to it. I do it all time. Star Wars. I forget somebody. Oh yeah. I guess I forgot that.

Starting point is 00:12:23 It's just crazy to me. It's like these people want you to dedicate your lives to studying Avatar forever. And I'm like, I have other things I want to do with my life. I don't want to sit and watch recaps of Avatar the last Airbender so I can remember every minute detail for you people. I know. And it also makes it, I think it would position us to constantly compare it. Yes. Oh, yeah. It would be really bad, actually.

Starting point is 00:12:45 Yeah. So I didn't really watch. I didn't want. I don't even make time to rewatch the show because then I think it would have just ruined the experience honestly yeah I really prefer uh Zuko more in this version than I did all righty what would you guys think of this leave your thoughts down below please you guys are making it joyful apparently you get a really pleasant experience can't wait to see the comments on this video read like five comments in total. And then I go see a video with Roxy and John that I don't like Roxy react with this

Starting point is 00:13:45 with a different female. That's where it goes. And I'm like, you guys just are never satisfied. Holy shit. That's the human condition. It is not a human condition. It is. It is a whiner condition.

Starting point is 00:13:57 No, it's human entitlement. I'm completely satisfied with my life. It's human entitlement. That we should all just cater to. It's too hot. It's too cold. It's the way it goes. No.

Starting point is 00:14:12 I think you always want to be more. I'm like, I could die tomorrow. I'm okay well I have a lot of voids I need to fill from my past that I haven't resolved yet I'm aware I have a lot of those too but I ignore them yeah I'm trying to just pile it on the other things pile it on me I know you are you traumatize me plenty hell yeah it keeps a relationship alive what we've gone off on a team it's called passion I have to go fix my eye it's dying there's something wrong with it I got to go fix it look at it it's much smaller you see that right don't i i know you see it it's drooping i think i'm in the middle of stroke right

Starting point is 00:14:53 now you should stop reading those comments tweaking me out of tv fandoms are or i can't believe all avatar last air vendor phantom do you remember the game of thrones reactions well avatar is a huge there's like comics and shit do you remember the game of thrones reactions where everyone oh my god They railed me. And then years later, my opinion is the popular opinion on the show. I'm like, you motherfuck, you mother, you mother, okay, I got to meet that. You're going to cut this out.
