Starting point is 00:00:46 Match bear. We call that your 30s. Bump, bump, bump, bump. Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, we live. We live, kids. We did it. We're alive today.
Starting point is 00:01:02 I'm so excited. This concludes Greg and I have been on a marathon run for three weeks. Today is our last shoot of the scheduled out from August. I'm so sick of your godday face. You know what, Greg? I'm not sick of looking at you. I'm not sick of yours. I'm sick of yours. Well, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:01:17 I'm sick of looking at your stupid Irish face. I know, I know. It's soon going to be in Ireland. Too Irish for my taste is what I say. That's what you say. Guys, we're going to talk about several things today, but one main topic, of course. the time has come Avengers End Game Encore
Starting point is 00:01:39 Rolls right off the tongue Is here Koi is going to be hosting an event At El Capitan tonight I'm hosting the big Pseo premiere at the El Capitan of Avengers Endgame Encore Very excited honor
Starting point is 00:01:52 It's pretty cool It's pretty cool I hosted end game there So this feels like an encore for me Congratulations my friend Full circle seven and a half years later That's fucking crazy Yeah so that is
Starting point is 00:02:03 They have four minutes, four minutes and four scenes. Ah, I see what they did there. Now, Koi hasn't seen any of this. I've avoided all of Twitter, and I don't check my DMs in general because it's a nasty place, but I've avoided any way I could have been exposed. And I actually don't know. When you texted me yesterday saying, do I need to worry about the thumbnail, I was like, that's more data than I've had that apparently a character might be revealed.
Starting point is 00:02:26 Like, I don't know what even that could have meant. Okay, good, because, yeah, I was like, what do I put in this goddamn thumbnail? I didn't look. And I feel like I played it reasonably safe for this one. So what we're going to do today for the Avengers Endgame Encore is we're going to do this like when, you know, when people watch footage at Comic-Con and then people read breakdowns and they're reacting to like breakdown. I can live react. Yes. But with you verbalizing the school.
Starting point is 00:02:52 I'm going to break it down for him. I'm going to picture it. I did not go watch Avengers End Game Encore. I get to get spoiled five hours before hosting it. Yeah, there you go. Well, I want it. Did we get to get your opinions? We're going to do it for the live?
Starting point is 00:03:03 This is the only way that I legitimately told Greg. I'm like, I'm happy to because it's the only way that we can do a reaction of sorts. You know it. I get to have like my face contort. I did not go watch this in the theaters. I will be. I did exactly what most of you did. I went on Twitter and watch reasonably all right cam footage.
Starting point is 00:03:21 I did exactly. 0.01% of people do, which is host an event. I think my way is better. So that's what we're going to do. We're going to break it down in real time. I tried being as specific as possible in my notes, and I hope that we're able to paint a good picture for you as we're doing it. I'm going to close my eyes.
Starting point is 00:03:39 So that's Uno. The second thing we're going to talk about today is Dynamic Duo. Apparently, apparently, you know, it seems like these Robbins have been confirming it in discreet ways. And the third thing, I suppose, we should talk about, which I feel like no one's talking about, which is a big side. Daredevil board again is going to be canceled after season three. They're going to discontinue that. So three main topics we're going to talk about. Of course, Super Chats, stream labs are more than welcome.
Starting point is 00:04:12 We never end a stream without going through every single one. My goal today is to have so many that Coy cannot make his L-CAP a tent event. Oh, good. Yes. I'll let Disney know that I cannot host their endgame encore. I'm there with you. I want you here. I'll zoom into the L-Cat.
Starting point is 00:04:28 My goal is to ruin all your jobs. outside of here. So you're kind of forced to just be here. Greg, I need a 50% raise because I've lost 50% my income because of this job alone. You're not going to get the raise, but you will be stuck here. And we are also going to leak
Starting point is 00:04:44 who plays Batman. That's what we're going to do. Just so we get quite out of D.C. as well. Hook him. Hook him. Hook him. But before we do any of that,
Starting point is 00:04:53 now, if you're watching the playback, of course, please leave a like on this video. And of course, you can hop around video chapters. But last week, while hi Greg was here, Oh, hi Greg was a delight. It hit me in the middle of it that, oh, we were talking about Koi's birthday. And I did not give Koi his birthday presents. Oh shit.
Starting point is 00:05:11 So I figured, let's kick this off by giving Koi his birthday presence. Coy. Now, I did not wrap them because I totally forgot to. I'm ready to plain and simple. No. Well, I'll tell you, man. And like, okay, so we watched all the Spider-Man movies. We did.
Starting point is 00:05:30 You are such a big Spider-Man fan that I was like, wow, what do you get a guy who loves Spider-Man so much? So I didn't get you a Spider-Man thing. Oh, okay, good, good, good. What I decided to do was I know what you love more than anything else in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially upcoming. So I wanted to make sure you got exactly what you wanted. So if you can close your eyes. Oh, I can close my eyes. Okay, it's back.
Starting point is 00:06:03 It's the exact character you were hoping you would get. It's the exact one. He, if anyone loves Robert Downey Jr. is Dr. Doom. This is hilarious. It's 100% coin. This is the most specifically directed at everyone but coin gift possible. That's not true. Robert Downey Jr.'s Robert Dumme Jr., the Funko Pop.
Starting point is 00:06:29 But I know that you're probably going to keep it encased. So I want you to really know what it's like to experience. The way how Doom has been building up his new battle world, you can now build Doom yourself. That way you really, I hope by the end of this, that way you can connect with Robert Downey Jr's Dr. Doom. I can build up my anticipation. I exactly see, you got it. Literally build up. You get it, it's a Lego joke.
Starting point is 00:06:57 Ah? It's a Lego joke. I can construct the appeal. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. That's where it is.
Starting point is 00:07:05 Brick by. Rick, I can get excited for this casting decision. All road blood to this. Oh, I love his eyes being so piercing. All right, but in all serious. He's kind of hitting on me. Look at this. Tell me that's not come hither eyes.
Starting point is 00:07:21 That's so out of focus. There's no way to focus that is there. How do I help? Okay. Look at him come hither. Tell me that's not a little Robert smoldered. Look at that. Those eyes.
Starting point is 00:07:34 There it is. Yeah. There you go, baby. That is Victor Vaughn bedroom eyes. I can't wait for you to build that. He's got the power of magic science and fuck me eyes. Those are three integral tools. I, you know, I'm already more sold because I want to fuck do.
Starting point is 00:07:49 There you go. All right. Well, okay. All right, all right, all right. You really love Spider-Man. I do. I do. So I went out of the way to actually find you something pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:07:59 And since you love Spider-Man so much, can you please close your eyes. I can't. So a third do might So who Don't open your eyes I will not But just to show the audience how well I know coy Don't open your eyes it
Starting point is 00:08:14 Grab who's your favorite spider man Uh either in the live action I mean Ben oh live action and undergradfield Perfect now which Spider man do you like the least Toby McGuire now open your eyes So I got a son I'm Dumi Jr. and assigned Toby Spider-Man to remember when I disagreed with all of pop culture, I do a pop culture show with Greg. And Greg is like, hey, this is why you're wrong.
Starting point is 00:08:46 Because these are, this is literally the two castings where I was like, I think I just fundamentally don't understand what they were thinking there. I could be proven wrong. I know I'm right. You will be hypnotized. That's hilarious. Okay, but I don't have your. So last night when I was like, this is going to make me laugh for a few seconds, I realized I should probably get him a sincere gift.
Starting point is 00:09:10 Two signed. All right. All right. So I buy you a sincere gift last night. It's not here. And I was like, ah, you know. I'll get him something nice. It will not be amazing.
Starting point is 00:09:23 But I was like, this is going to be funny for a little bit. Yeah. He always gets, Koi always gets like really good gifts and he always gets something he likes really from the heart. I should probably get him. I'm going to do the opposite for three rounds. I'll make sure he knows what I think of him in return. I hope the thing I think the thing I got you,
Starting point is 00:09:41 I think he's really cool. We're not going to like unboxing on camera. I think the thing I got you is really cool. I hope that you don't already have it. That was one of those things. I hope it doesn't have this, but it's pretty cool if he doesn't have it. Anyway,
Starting point is 00:09:50 thank you for my doom and Toby combo gifts. Yeah, there you go, buddy. They might be in a movie together. Maybe they're in a scene we're going to describe. I don't know. Can't wait. Can't wait. This is very funny.
Starting point is 00:10:00 I appreciate it. I appreciate it. my sass. There's a lot of sass here and I respect it. You take it home with you. You guys are about to watch me watch three Toby movies with Greg and him just be like wow, you are really uncomfortable with this casting decision. So he commemorated the
Starting point is 00:10:13 experience. Absolutely, brother. From the heart. We spent hours talking about this signatures person. Excited. Even though I hope, you were like, oh, that's stayed. Yeah, it does not leave you. Youth pastor Toby doesn't even really have a dislike for that man.
Starting point is 00:10:29 He just has such a haunting presence. Crazy. He's so angry. Crazy. Crazy. I feel like if I ran to him on the street, I'd be like, worried for safety. Like, he's got such a like, you don't even meet people that have like an undercurrent of like rage. Yeah, definitely.
Starting point is 00:10:42 He's got a thing. Like when he had that paparazzi footage of him. He's so scary. Get out of the way, motherfucker. I was like, oh, this seems like the real Toby. This is, this is not a moment in time. This is the real Toby McGuire. At home, I'm like, that's who I think he is.
Starting point is 00:10:54 He's like, Tom Hardy's really intense. I met Tom Hardy a bunch of times. And I'm always like, coolest guy ever. Tobin Bogiard would beat the fuck out of Tom Hardy because he's. actually got the darkness. I'm with you, brother. I'm going to do brother,
Starting point is 00:11:06 brother, butter. We have pet names. Hey, brother, butter. Like doom eyes. All right, ready to learn about these scenes from Avengers End Game Encore?
Starting point is 00:11:13 As ready as I'm going to be until I see it in five hours. Okay. All right. We're going to go through the first scene. Thank you guys for everyone who's given early super chats, by the way.
Starting point is 00:11:20 We were going to make sure to get through all of them. All right. So there's four scenes. Four amazing scenes. Four pinnacle, life-changing scenes that we I feel like this is a sarcastic as doom fun-go. No, no, actually one of them, there's one of them that I really like a lot.
Starting point is 00:11:40 I was surprised by like, damn, even in like shitty camera footage, this is really intense. So I was like, this is real. There's the only scene I saw out of them that. I hope I get a watch. I like, I would love to see this one scene on the big screen. Can I ask before you tell me them? Are these newly shot or deleted scenes? They're definitely sure.
Starting point is 00:11:57 They're definitely new. They're all for doomsday. Every single one is for doom. Okay. So there's nothing that. enhances endgame, except for in the context of Doomsday. Well, glad you asked. So, scene one, how does Avengers end game end?
Starting point is 00:12:11 What's the final shot? Credits with the hammering. Okay, let's go back. That's the final shot before the credits. Oh, visually. The credits are all like swoopy and people signing stuff. Jesus Christ, Christ, what's the final shot right before the credits? The finals, the dance, thank you.
Starting point is 00:12:29 My God, how hard was that? We watched that nine movies ago, Greg. I had to replay it. Everybody knows the ending of Avengers. I had to replay it from the end. It's not that hard. This is the one with popular endings in all of the audience. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:12:44 Okay, got it. Got it. Dancing. That's no longer the ending. What the fuck? There you go. There you go. We get an extra scene with a D.H.
Starting point is 00:12:54 Chris Evans. That scene is still in it. That scene's in it. Okay. And then there's a knock on the door. So. I feel like, This is what the people want.
Starting point is 00:13:06 It's a knock on the door. All right. And then it cuts to this overhead shot of Steve and Peggy. And they stop dancing. And they both like look alarmed and intense. Peggy stops the record. It's quiet. It's super intense.
Starting point is 00:13:21 And then Steve, he goes to hide behind the wall. And he's like, hey, if there's something dangerous over there, Peggy, you go open the door. I think I think the indication is that when he goes to hide, It's a clear sign that he's not supposed to be here, that he shouldn't be caught, right? Then we hear a familiar voice that obviously comes in the form of Loki. He goes, hi. And then Steve looks around the corner.
Starting point is 00:13:43 He clearly recognizes the voice. Peggy goes, can I help you? Loki steps for the doorway, and he's dressed like the TVA analyst. He's wearing the P coat, the same shot that kind of what he's wearing the shot that we saw in the Doomsday trailer. And he goes, and then he says to Peggy, no, but I can help you. and then Loki pauses and he knows Steve is on the other side of the wall. Steve looks over at him and he goes both of you. Steve slowly and then he stares at Loki's like mystified Loki stares back at Steve
Starting point is 00:14:12 directed by Anthony and Joe Rousseau. I get needing to retroactively add things to tie it into the Loki season two and how he, I think Loki's going to be a combination of like molecule man's purpose and maybe even Kang. Like, I think Loki's god of story element is going to be like maybe a power element, but also like a mechanism for Doom to have more control, could even lead the battle world. So I can see how in endgame as it stood, he dies and isn't a factor.
Starting point is 00:14:50 Like, you know what I mean? Like he gets killed by Thanos. We don't really get Loki as like an integral piece. So this is like his only appearance at endgame and it's new. I get why that would be necessary. But I hate that it precedes the credit. Like something about it Exactly.
Starting point is 00:15:05 Like something about it making the ending false. I don't fuck with. Like there's something that like if they had just done a fucking three post credit scenes or something like the movie sanctity. It feels like I've been saying that Marvel is Star Wars for years because it is. Like it's our generation Star Wars like it. And at this point it's almost the same amount of time between the gap of like everyone being on like the prequel trilogy was what like 10 years after or 15 years after. something like that yeah so this is like seven and a half like it's not quite the comp and we've had movies in between but it does feel like this is they're like trying to come back in a bigger way era and the special edition came out in between and that was like like when hansola like walks around job of the hut it's clearly added like that sort of shit this feels like that from the description like this feels like the special editionification but the difference is this those special editions were deleted scenes that were back they got added yeah yeah i'm saying this is that that feeling but even kind of worse because it sacrifices the film's integrity exactly like i have literally
Starting point is 00:16:08 no issue with the actual scene itself no the problem is exactly it's like it's so crazy to me how if you just waited like one more minute yeah it changes my whole as soon as you said their names i was like it's it's kind of like when we watch far from home and it was brilliant to keep the post the big credit scene like uh spider man's peter parker yeah that having that that way you have like an actual ending to movie instead of some like it gets to be complete it gets to be complete and then you can set up your next movie like that and i don't like messing with it and it just kind of makes me wonder too so so this becomes my question and of the of the whole experience right let's let's say let's say in the future when i'm around my like 15 to 20 children that i have well right and i'm like gold kids
Starting point is 00:16:53 olivia good luck now that we oh she's going to be churning me listen then and now that now that you've avoided technology for 15 to 20 years because i am the ultimate parent who has allowed you to not develop ADHD due to iPads and iPhones because I am superior to all. Now I'm going to show you the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. And then by the time we get to Avengers Endgame, am I supposed to show them this version of Avengers Endgame? This is a culmination of 23 films and they made it a dot, dot, dot.
Starting point is 00:17:24 They turned the culmination of three phases into a trailer. But is the Russo saying this is what we should be doing now? is we should be watching this version, or am I supposed to watch end game and then watch all the phase 4, 5, and whatever, and then watch encore, to remind you after Spider-Man brand-new day. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:45 You see, like I know everyone probably is like, dude, it's not a big deal. You could just show your 15 to 20 children the four post-credit scenes in the future. I don't want to do that. Have you messed with Disney Plus's player? It loads terribly. I don't want to go with that.
Starting point is 00:17:59 It's awful. It's awful. It's too much work. It's too much. $32. Yeah, it's awful fucking insane. It was seven bucks four years ago, five years ago. And now it's 22 and they've gotten worse.
Starting point is 00:18:10 I can't wait for you to go promote their movie tonight. I'd like to go host Avengers Endgame Encore at the El Capi Tan Theater. Anyway, that's the scene. And what do you think the bigger implication of the scene is that? That they did something wrong and he has to clean it up as a member of the TVA. It sounds like he is maybe pruning a branch or something is caused by Peggy and him dancing, like the act, not the dance itself, but the act of him. being there causes a this is too erotic for the 50s yeah see you guys are too close leave
Starting point is 00:18:37 that's taken hands there separate you're not married he's from the future um he has now the birth significance uh to me it's an implication that it's throwing off some time thing yeah also like he wasn't a tv a outfit when we last saw him because he was the god of stories so this would imply a earlier loki to me as well but probably not due to a later scene that we have so part of me's I've only gotten this far. So let's say it's like Loki, the guy who's holding all the branches together, bored out of his mind. He's bored? I was thought he was like tripping balls, seeing stories like, fucking.
Starting point is 00:19:11 I don't know, he looks sad and bored at the end. That is not a guy doing reactions. That's true. He's not face pulling. He's not face pulling. He's not a good thumbnail face. I'm like, I want to watch with this guy's watch. Tom, it'll sit and work here in YouTube games.
Starting point is 00:19:23 So, yeah, like one version, he could be, he could just be someone who like, I'm going to take a little break here. Or I don't know how we do that. puts down the stories. Let's just like, you guys are not here. No, I think it's an earlier one. It's got to be.
Starting point is 00:19:36 Or he could be doing that. What's the rule of multiverse of madness? I totally forgot, but isn't there something where you're like, it can cause an incursion if you project yourself somewhere? We haven't rewatched that one yet. I have no memory of like that.
Starting point is 00:19:49 There's something with that rule that you can project your, that's what Wanda does, right? She projects herself into it. Something like that. So maybe Loki's doing a version of that and maybe that's contributing to incursions.
Starting point is 00:19:59 I love we're saying that for Doom. And I was like, Yeah, but he's not an Ironman variant. It's got to be you you're walking into. I'm glad you said. So there's a... I'm so fucking worried now. I was already worried.
Starting point is 00:20:10 Now I'm fucking worried. So there's a Loki. Yeah, I'm like, why is Loki going out of his way to specifically help Captain America? If he has access to all these stories, I don't recall him out of everyone. He's like, you know what? I'm going to make amends with Captain America. He deserves it. Don't you remember all the scenes they had together?
Starting point is 00:20:28 Loki impersonated Steve Rogers. once that's the closest i think to them of having a relationship yeah and then uh and in avengers one when uh loki's killing the people in new york yeah he's like the guys that make people bow yeah yeah yeah and after that he was no they're very close yeah either way i feel like it's a good set up scene that it's telling us that the tv is going to be really involved and then loki's going to be actually important like actually with all these the scenes and we're going to by the time i get to the third scene it does really hammer home that loki the show is incredibly important I'm excited to watch that.
Starting point is 00:21:01 I will say, however, this does cement the concern I have. I love the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Again, I'm honored to be hosting this event, and I've loved it from the beginning, but it has turned other mediums into, oh, that show was canceled. Why would I watch it? Oh, that universe is ending. Why would I watch what's left? I remember when the DC-EU ended.
Starting point is 00:21:21 There was like two movies left, and everybody was like, well, that's ending. Why would I watch those movies? And I was like, for the two hours of the movie. Like, why wouldn't you want the experience of the movie? like everything isn't to set up something else. Like movies are meant to be complete. And like we talked about far from home, it's complete. And then the ellipsies, this format of ending it is the exact thing I worry about with serialized content.
Starting point is 00:21:42 Like it doesn't, it makes it not complete. Yeah, I agree. Okay. So then we get an actual, we get two mid credit scenes. Okay. They didn't want to do three. So they did two mid credit scenes. And it takes place after the events of brand new day, obviously, because you see Bruce
Starting point is 00:21:56 Banner and he's alone in an underground. military bunker. Can you pull up this photo of what this is not a screenshot, but he's got a beard. So Mark Ruffalo Beard, can you see that? Oh, it's beautiful. That's something. He looks great. I love this. Something akin to that. He's got what I'm going for here. So, but it's like vlog phone footage is what we're looking at here. And he's saying that it's part of like a joint base military complex located approximately two miles beneath the surface of the earth. He's recording a video diary. And it's like you see security camp footage.
Starting point is 00:22:31 It's concrete walls. He's talking about how he suffered his first incident over a decade, obviously for a brand new day. Since then, he's left himself in self-containment in this joint-based military complex. And then he explains how secure this place is. And he's like, the hoax not getting out of here. And no one else is getting in. He mentioned some stuff about whatever the hell he's been doing during his isolation,
Starting point is 00:22:53 about experimenting. And then he moves his camera near a war. workstation. There's several monitors, and then you see like 3D scans of a Hulk-like body. He's basically been experimenting a new gamma suppression serum. And he's like, I like to demonstrate some of my findings. But while Bruce is saying this, the lights above them begin to glitch. It's kind of like found footage horror movie.
Starting point is 00:23:15 Like the footage starts glaring out. We hear a strange, like the warbling magic sound. A green glow appears. And it shines across Bruce's face somewhere off to the right. And he goes, no. So then the video feed cuts off momentarily. Then we hear Bruce again, and he is addressing whoever it is in this bunker, which is obviously who it is. He goes, who are you?
Starting point is 00:23:35 Then the voice answers him. And he says, Mr. Banner. However he does it. However, Dr. Dume's new voices. Mr. Banner. Really? I am Dr. Dume. His fucking voices.
Starting point is 00:23:50 I just think of grew whenever I hear. And then you see a flash of Doom's. magical run and then he goes I'm here to collect you and immediately afterwards you hear
Starting point is 00:24:02 kind of Mark Ruffalo he leaps from the strain you can tell he's morphing into the Hulk based off of his voice then the camera jitters
Starting point is 00:24:09 out fucking does that found footage trope where it falls over to land on the exact shot the audience needs to see
Starting point is 00:24:16 and what you see on the ground is Dr. Doom's ruin that the one on the symbol that he has burning with a
Starting point is 00:24:23 bright green light so what do you think of And it's obvious where this sets up, but what do you think of him collecting Bruce Banner? Do you think he wants Bruce or does he want the Hulk? And yeah, what are your thoughts on? What's your immediate reaction of what do you think is going on of why he's collecting him? I had only heard one rumored post-credit scene.
Starting point is 00:24:41 And all I heard was that it was Hulk and Doom. And this was like a week ago. And I theorized it was going to be like the Hickman run. It was going to be Maestro and Doom. Like that was like, again, I... Please elaborate. So Maestro is a alternate universe Doom who, is from the future. Think of like else worlds in DC or think of like the multiverse and Marvel.
Starting point is 00:25:01 He's an alternate take and he has this badass, you know, bowl hair like the bald on top and long on the sides. But he's like a dictator tyrant world ruler. Maestro's like a big bad. Like he's like the ultimate in a smart Hulk that gone awry. So he's every bit as intelligent as banner, but in the Hulk body and he's evil. He's integral to doom and that world. I, however, think this is not that. Because when you said Hulk Doom as a rumor, I was like, well, that's what I'd do.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Instead, this seems like maybe he needs Hulk's strength, and he thinks he can manipulate Hulk, not Banner. Like, maybe he needs or on the other side, like maybe he needs Banner's mind for something with the incursion events, like maybe the time travel element, because Banner's
Starting point is 00:25:52 one that invented time travel. It's my instinct to be like, you know, if everyone's living on Stolen Time. He did is the one who, I mean, him and Tony together cracked it. Yeah. But like if he's the one that was developing that and he needs something, maybe with his own thing, if we're all living on stolen time, that was one of the elements of the trailer, maybe banner is integral to that, not Hulk. Hmm. Well, he gets him when he, I mean, he's turning into Hulk because, of course, he's being provoked.
Starting point is 00:26:15 Right. Right. What is this guy coming into my banner? But we don't know if he came there for Hulk or for banner. And he says banner according to it. Yeah, he says Mr. Banner. Not Mr. Hulk. Right.
Starting point is 00:26:24 So like, my instinct is there. He's there for. banner. Aren't there like multiple hulks at one point? There's many in Secret Wars. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:31 There's a whole thing with that, right? Yeah. It's like Oldman Loganish where there's like hell of hulks. Yeah. But Maestro is a big bad and like he would want to work with Doom's goals. But I see this as a banner scene, not a Hulk scene. It just involves Hulk being out. I do.
Starting point is 00:26:44 I mean, they're saying that it confirms he's going to be in Doomsday, but audience who's watching, please correct in the live chat. And right, pay the fuck attention if they correct. Is they, the date, did anyone confirm, like officially that Mark Ruffalo will be in Doomsday or is this a setup for Secret Wars? Because I feel like it would be more for Secret Wars. I think it would be kind of cool to actually have a scene set up. That's set a build.
Starting point is 00:27:05 Yeah. Because we used to do that like where it was like a movie away. Yeah. I mean now with Avengers Endgame Encore, you're going to watch this. Then you're going to watch Phase 4, 5. And then what phases is this? I already forgot. We're in Phase 4.
Starting point is 00:27:19 This would be the end of Phase 3 technically, this movie, Encore. But what is Doomsday? Doomsday is Phase 6. And it's not We're in phase six Check the tapes I think it's six These phases
Starting point is 00:27:30 These phases are no longer Clearly defined No because we didn't have An Avengers at the end each one Okay yeah Phase four ends with Wakanda forever Slightly confused Okay
Starting point is 00:27:38 And then phase five ends with thunderbolts Phase four ends up Wakanda forever 90% sure Check that types Check okay phase four Phase four It ends with the one of Oh it ends with the Guardians
Starting point is 00:27:51 Holiday special well that seems Okay so we are in phase six Yeah I knew it was face four six. Could you see what movie ends phase four for me? Because I think it is Wakanda forever. Yeah. Good for you. I'm glad you remember that. Well, I just, I remember it being like, kind of the culmination of sadness. And I thought thematically it was interesting because we've been watching phase four and it's so much about family. And then Wakanda's like a loss of family, but it was like for the whole, it felt like that was the culmination. But then phase five felt a little bit
Starting point is 00:28:21 more indistinct because like the new Avengers film, Thunderbolts is the ending. But it didn't feel like an emotional resonating end. It felt like, well, we kind of have. had an Avengers so over. And now phase six, I don't think Secret or Doomsday ends phase six. I mean,
Starting point is 00:28:36 I think Secret Ors ends it not Doomsday, which would make it. So there's two Avengers movies in a phase, which is even weirder than having no Avengers movie in a phase to me. But isn't phase three, two Avengers movies? Yeah, because the one to punch.
Starting point is 00:28:49 But that felt like they were paired. And they keep saying like, you don't want it to feel like Doomsday into Secret Wars is the same thing. So I would have thought they would try to make it more. But then there's only two movies. Right? Like as I what's between the oh there's no fucking movies between yeah so they have to Yeah cool all right sorry about scene three I love it. I would have yeah phase six end with doomsday and phase seven start with but I guess it doesn't matter. It's all fucking that's true. That's true. Okay. Well, we love your pontificating. You know here I'm one here I'm one here and wonder thoughts and this is what people love guys you want a reaction. Yeah left right straight. Okay. Doom bedroom eyes scene three. All right. So this is one where I'm just gonna give you I'm gonna try to I'm gonna try to I'm gonna try to condense this down a
Starting point is 00:29:28 little bit actually because this is the longest scene it's my favorite scene of them this is the one that i'm like this is the one you're like oh i wish we watched this one in the theaters wish you came with me i invited gregg by the way can't don't time much so much to do shet your moose dink cook i still quote him that's right so the third scene takes place that the time of very hello you must be struck by a vehicle i'm a car gasoline is my blood back seat Trunk space. We're seven. Yeah, we're old.
Starting point is 00:30:03 The third scene takes place at the time variance authority. It begins with Miss Minutes. She's addressing the TVA. And one of the lines that she actually says is there's a whole mess of universes out there. Our job is keeping them tidy and safe, which I feel like is indicative of the fact that, you know,
Starting point is 00:30:22 they're not trying to prune timelines anymore, that they're whatever, however season two ends. It's like coexisting and just keeping things good. So now they're monitoring multiple universes instead of just one sacred timeline. Blah, blah, blah. She says some stuff. You see an employee of all time image and it's of Loki.
Starting point is 00:30:39 And then there's Mobius. Owen Wilson's Mobia, exactly. And he approaches Casey and Obie or Boris, Ki-Hu Kuan, who are studying something on the TVA monitors. And what they, what OB points out is that it's a level one incursion. And he identifies the two universes involved, which. is universe 1,0005, and 1127 are about to collide. He checks the information, and then Mobius is kind of like, okay, I did not read about this in the Skydun Report, I don't remember.
Starting point is 00:31:10 Could it have slipped through the cracks for old Mobius, something like that? And he notices something strange happening between them. There's this visual of the Earths that are like outlined, and then it looks like there's missiles flying at each other. They're just like, it looks like nuclear war missiles kind of like a drawings. Yeah, that's how they're going to take each other out. Missiles. Are those, KCAS, are those missiles?
Starting point is 00:31:33 Are they fire? And then Mobius asks, are they firing at each other? And on the TVA display, we see two Earths facing one another. I don't think it's, I think it's one of these Earths is, wait, let me just make sure I got my facts right. Okay. Yeah. So Earth 1-0-005 is the Fox X-Men universe. Earth 1127 is a universe we haven't identified yet.
Starting point is 00:31:55 Okay, I was like that one in the sound familiar. Okay. And then other people, I don't feel like you would catch this when you're watching it because people have to really like stop and look at shit. There are some other monitors that they see where they, it's not confirmed, but there's Earth 483, which is the 2003 Eric Banna Hulk reality. The 15886, which is 2015 Fantastic 4 and Earth 8211, which is the what if universe. So they bring in the maker. So the indication is like these are also being destroyed, right? each earth is trying to take out each other before they collide as what's going on.
Starting point is 00:32:29 Then another technician, okay, yeah. So obviously they're trying to destroy one another. And then the TVA tech points out, wait, we got another one. And Mobius thinks there might be a problem with the system. Then someone else speaks up. We have a third. The situation is escalating. One of the TVA monitors we see collide with one another.
Starting point is 00:32:49 Both universes explode. The music becomes like very fucking ramped up. We got a full alert now. Give me a count. Then the TVA text, this starts stacking on one another from just different texts. 20 universes.
Starting point is 00:33:01 I got 100, 300. And then the last one that's listed, 3,000, which I think is kind of cheeky because I love you, 3,000. Yeah. All the thing I hate you, 3,000 people get their concurrency.
Starting point is 00:33:11 So there's 3,000 universes now involved. And the scene ends with like everyone with this devastation look. And OB says the multiverse is collapsing. Then it cuts to black. I'm not that like some details, but that's like the main shit you would need to know. Yeah, yeah. I like that scene.
Starting point is 00:33:30 It's the, it is a good scene. I think when you watch it, you're going to be like, oh, this is cool. I think what. Interestingly, to me, the first thing I think of before we can get to the scene is, is Miss Minutes saying, you know, we keep the things tidy. I actually haven't considered they might do. Some of the nerdier comics allow you to be aware that you're in one designated universe. and that big events like DC's crisis events or times where universes collide,
Starting point is 00:34:02 I can see them keeping more characters alive and have our universe 616 or 1-99-99-9-9-9-9, whatever you want to call it, as like we leave that. And then we have the X-Men and stuff in another universe. And that way in like 10 years we could come back to this universe and have like a big event again where it's like, remember Chris Edison?
Starting point is 00:34:23 Z-60 now. Like we could, you know, do a return to that. I hadn't considered that idea. So just for some reason, like, this scene reminded me that we could go really nerdy, allow this to be like the ending of the universe as we know it, not end it, but then we could revisit it after like people get bored of whatever's next. But the scene itself, multiverse is collapsing. Obviously, that's your big conflict.
Starting point is 00:34:45 I love that Owen Wilson's in a fucking this important of a Marvel universe scene. Like, for whatever reason, I've really fallen in love with that character. and I never thought he'd be like in game encore. So it's really cool to hear that like him and Kee Kwan are like an integral element to set up Doomsday. But yeah, you got two scenes that are implying like Loki, the show is important. Like you got you guys. It sounds like the most. If it's the first scene we see that ends end game now.
Starting point is 00:35:09 Yeah. And the last, is this the last scene? No, it's not. I'm worried. I think the last scene is going to have you. The last scene is like a second. but I think it's good. I just can't wait.
Starting point is 00:35:26 What are your thoughts on the scene before we leave behind? I'm now very concerned. What do you mean my thoughts on it? I think you explained it. I mean, that, it's just explaining every, I feel like this is really just a good explainer.
Starting point is 00:35:38 It's a really cool, like summation of phase four and five in one scene. I forgot how the story ended with Mobius, but he got the jet ski. Yeah, I mean, there's a shot where I think he's like looking at maybe just having his family again
Starting point is 00:35:51 or ending all this. Yeah, He's looking at his house. I forget what. We're going to watch it. We're going to watch it again. I'm very excited for it. We're going to do a rewatch for it, like a binge for it.
Starting point is 00:35:59 We've binged Wanda Vision. It was so intense to watch it that way because it's like a different show. I'm really curious how Loki feels. I'm so excited. I should watch the two seasons back to back. But anyway. That's the shot. Look at that man looking at a house.
Starting point is 00:36:11 But I, like, you tell. So hot right now. Like you confirmed to me that Mobius is in it. That's more excited to me than banner. It's so funny. I agree. Yeah. Like I'm like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:21 Big Mobius guy. Like it's just so crazy that you can, that's why when people want comics to be direct translations, I think that's short-sighted, because you tell someone that reads comics, you're going to be more excited for Mobius than Hulk. That's not going to happen. But in the medium of film,
Starting point is 00:36:35 with actors and connection and storytelling in a different medium, you can have a character like Mobius be so impactful. And not that Hulk isn't, but lately. Yeah. Also, I'm a little bummed. I didn't say it before, but like I was really hoping brand new day
Starting point is 00:36:49 would lead to some internal. Hulk shit. Like I thought maybe he goes to like a mental institution and like we do like some. What they were going to do with Ed Norton's Hulk? I think that'd be awesome. We got to dooms and see what. We got half them smart. Come on.
Starting point is 00:37:03 We got doom's answer course. After that I'd like some fucking infernal Hulk or even Immortal Hulk. I don't know if they'd ever go full horror, but that'd be dope as shit. Anyway. Yeah. Everyone's been asking for that for many, many, many, many, many years.
Starting point is 00:37:16 It's not happening. This Hulk is like, it sounds like he's back to not be able to control it, which is excited. like that could get me back on the Hulk train well it seems like he's pick every it seems like every single time we catch up with Hulk it's kind of the same thing
Starting point is 00:37:29 of like I got this under control I've got it under control it's out of control I've got some of control it's out of control but even in that scene with the banner he looks he doesn't look like truly distraught yeah just kind of looks like calm cool Mark Ruffalo he just got the beard the aesthetic to look distraught
Starting point is 00:37:45 he's like well I'm down here but he's feeling confident that he that he has it this time guys this one time for sure. I got this shit locked in. I think this last one is the best sounding scene, but also the most like linear. It's the best shot.
Starting point is 00:37:59 It plays like a real scene. Like a full real scene. It feels like out of the Loki show. Cool. Yeah. Again, freaking Mobius. Because Owen Wilson too is that this is the only character where every character
Starting point is 00:38:12 to me that Owen Wilson plays Owen Wilson. This is the one time I surrender to an actual character from it. Also, I really thought that was last we'd see him. I'm really, I'm like relieved. Yeah. Like I always, you know, I was assuming we'll see more Hulk. I wasn't like counting on more Mobius after ZE2. I thought like I'd have to watch him sail away on a jet ski.
Starting point is 00:38:29 Like I'm very happy that we get potentially doomsday Mobius. Yes. That's exciting. Now ruin my day. No, man. This is not going to be that bad. All right. So what was the actual post credit scene from Avengers end game?
Starting point is 00:38:42 It's a, it's a, it's a, it's a Iron Man in the cave. Because I always thought it was cheeky that Iron Man started everything in a, in a cave with scraps. So I, I always saw it as a combination of finishing as you started, but also like, the labor that went into the universe.
Starting point is 00:39:00 So like to me, the metaphor was like, the credits are all the people that labored and worked throughout these, you know, the film particular, but also like metaphorically all three phases. So it's the work that went into these movies.
Starting point is 00:39:10 Like it was a celebration of work and cyclical thinking. True. Yeah. I love how there was like no imagery either. Yeah. I thought that was incredible. Now there's images.
Starting point is 00:39:20 Oh, good. So it's a same. That's the face of happiness right there. I just said how beautiful the stimulus. Oh. It's the clanging still. Can we undermine both the end of the movie and the metaphorical end of their faces? Tune in to find out.
Starting point is 00:39:39 It's the same strikes. You get a quick visual flash. And it's like, ding, ding, ding, ding, psh, ding, ding, kind of like that. It's like a rhythm to it. So not every ding is a flash. Every other ding is a little flashes. You get three flashes.
Starting point is 00:39:52 And it's the images of Downey and Ironman. So, yeah, it kind of looks like that. So you have a quick visual flash. A hammer comes down against metal. Bing. Another flash. Metal being forged. Bing.
Starting point is 00:40:04 And then we realize that because he holds a mask, it's the Doctor Doom mask instead. Bing. The doctor's supposed to look like, oh, this is the Tony start. Oh, no. This is him building the Iron Man mask. And it looks like, it looks like the Iron Man scene in a way. It's that's immediately what it's evoking. And then they do another ding and it's a close-up on Doom's eyes.
Starting point is 00:40:23 Like this is him forging the mask, but they're overlaying it with the Tony Stark clinging instead. And it's making, it's obviously supposed to remind you of Iron Man and then showing the mirror and the parallels. And if there's any indication that he is indeed a variant, I feel like this scene is really hammering. Hammering that home. So no matter how many times, Koi wants to already. you with they're not going to show he's not a variant they're not going to show his family he might not
Starting point is 00:40:56 be a variant I to me though it's like they took the iron man hammering iconic scene then they overlaid it with images that at first make you think you're just watching an iron man scene then you're like oh no it's the doctor it's Dr. Doom doing the hammering the for
Starting point is 00:41:11 fortune though let's hope so like maybe it's only in this shit I love how the way your brain works it's a good gimmick maybe it stays here yeah and then we never see his fucking face. I'm sure that. I'm sure you're going to have the exact same emotion when you actually see the scene that's supposed to make you feel like, oh, it's like Iron Man, but Dr. Doom,
Starting point is 00:41:29 that's 100% what the scene is doing. Dr. Doom is so important. He cannot be Iron Man light. If people thought it was bad that Spider-Man had an iron suit, and it made him like Little Stark Jr., which is not nearly as bad as we put it into the Zite guys. Like we just watched all three. We just watched all of them.
Starting point is 00:41:53 And I remember being so like, oh, Iron Man Jr. With Homecoming, not as much Tony Stark. And it works. The second one is the one. But Star Tech is like,
Starting point is 00:42:02 oh, no, no, but that's different than Iron Man Jr. It's the second movie that was like, everyone thinks he wants to be the next Spider-Man, like the next Iron Man. And it's like,
Starting point is 00:42:09 no he doesn't. No one ever said that. And the mystery was like, T-D is. And it like works for villainy. But like, that was the like, we both commented,
Starting point is 00:42:16 that seemed to come out of nowhere. He didn't suddenly want to be an Avenger again. he'd already made the mature decision. If they do that with Doom and actually do the thing people thought was going wrong with Spider-Man, but actually do it with a character as important
Starting point is 00:42:31 as Doom, I'm worried. Because this scene is that. Like, casting the actor, Robert Downey Jr., shouldn't have anything to do with casting the guy that played Iron Man. Like, it should be a good salesperson, a questionable how it's going to happen, the mystery element.
Starting point is 00:42:48 but like the character of Tony Stark has nothing to do with Victor the actor Chris Evans playing Human Torch is cheeky to be used in Deadpool as a joke because Captain America but like there's nothing fun there's no like punchline and if there's any sort of I'm back to my top concerns Greg I'm back to like fucking Comic Con announcement coy when they're like
Starting point is 00:43:15 Downy I'm like what the fuck that's why I got she those birthday presents So I can be reminded. I can look around my office and go, that was the day I lost faith again. I can go, hey, September 25th,
Starting point is 00:43:27 2026, I grew concerned. I'm with you, honestly, like, he's not Iron Man. It was, if it was the,
Starting point is 00:43:36 I don't care if you get a Dr. Doom scene, but there's something about stripping away, I don't like the idea of that if the Avengers End Game, uncle, I don't mind if these scenes are,
Starting point is 00:43:46 are canon. It's the idea that, Avengers Endgame Encore is the version you have to watch or this is the this movie is the canon version when you're going to be experiencing the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Like I don't like this in replacement of Avengers Endgame. It just makes it a TV. And I think because I feel like that movie. I don't enjoy that.
Starting point is 00:44:07 And I don't like the idea of that being the ending before the credits roll with Steve and Loki. And I don't like the I don't like the clean. But can you imagine if you do show someone this instead of Avengers End Game when they're doing their marathon. They watch Avengers Endgame encore and then they got to wait fucking forever. And then Loki kind of just plays like a prequel to this post credit scene that you that you watch. It also undermines. I mean, if Iron Man and Doom had anything to do with each other, it undermines both characters like devastatingly. But it also like really fucks up that perfect ending with cap and Iron Man. Yeah. That's what I mean. It does. It does mess with the purity of it.
Starting point is 00:44:43 It really does. Again, set the scenes that are the problem. It's kind of like where he decided to make them where you should be experiencing them is the is the weirder part. Again, like, this is not going to be the version that most people have watched. Yeah. Well, we'll watch.
Starting point is 00:44:57 Most people just watch these fucking scenes and call it today. But yeah, I didn't. I wasn't, like a lot of people, but the thing is, people love the, all the scenes.
Starting point is 00:45:06 And they love the Dr. Doom hammering. I was like, I don't know why I'm not a fan of, like, the fact that they've replaced this. I don't like it. I don't like that they,
Starting point is 00:45:15 the actual end of the movie is completely. leading Chris Evans' arc, and that's now not. And I don't like that the end of the saga is completing a trilogy of phases. Like that's an unprecedented achievement, 23 films all tying in together and ceremoniously wrapping it up with the sounds of the first film is so beautiful. Now it's not. That's like, you know, like just as an art piece, that sucks.
Starting point is 00:45:40 But watch the scenes on your own and all four are pretty damn cool. And I'm excited to, like, I'm seeing it tonight. And I like, but it's more about. what's that there was a there was a a painting of uh of jesus that they like fixed up and now he looks like the screaming fucking can you pull up this is what we're doing jesus painting fixed and they might actually that might be enough let that might be enough okay uh restoration okay look at that shit okay look at the first one that is how they restored the one the second one. See the second one?
Starting point is 00:46:20 There's actually the two together. Artnet News. Do you see that, Ray? That's two of them side by side. That is legit a restoration. That's what I feel like. This is what the ending feels like. The one on the left was before they restored it. The one on the right was the restoration.
Starting point is 00:46:36 That's what happened to that piece of art. That's the restoration. That's real life. This is what it feels like, Greg. This is what that's what the end of my perfect two arcs feels like is they did that. that's what it feels that feels like that Loki knocking on the door
Starting point is 00:46:52 we had something special and it was the culmination of a lot of people's beliefs and faiths and then someone's like Yolo yeah I feel like
Starting point is 00:47:05 well let me let me let me ask some let me let me let me ask some yes John so this this scene um of Loki knocking on Steve's door
Starting point is 00:47:17 do you not like that scene but the idea of that scene. Do you not like the idea of just even interrupting Doomsday? I mean, uh, endgame, that endgame scene? Just the knocking. Well, not just the knocking, but like the whole scene that plays out. I'm going to record. I don't think that, um, like even if it's not in the words place, like, are you not a fan
Starting point is 00:47:37 of this idea? Movie should have endings. Yeah, but I'm saying like, let's just say this scene was just a mid-credit scene. Would that, would bother me as much? It would still would bother me some because I think that they should have kept Steve Rogers that we've known having an ending. Yeah. And now he doesn't.
Starting point is 00:47:50 And if we're going to be playing with variance, it's very fucking simple to make that a different, Steve Rogers, and we'll have the same emotional connection, but we'll also have the catharsis of that character getting an ending. So I don't love it. But I love it even less if it's like tacked on to the end of the movie. Because it means like a three hour movie is a set up for another movie. It makes a movie a trailer. And like there should be structure.
Starting point is 00:48:11 Like movies should end. So I wonder if when we watch Endgame now, if audiences will be like, oh, but it's second from now. that's when Loki's supposed to come in? Like does it affect even if you just watch the theatrical version, but having the knowledge of what's supposed to happen next? I just think that, you know, like, again, the Star Wars thing. Like, if you watch Star Wars,
Starting point is 00:48:30 I'm not waiting for Han Solo to step on Jabba's Tale, but I know that scenes out there and that's a weird scene. I'm going to feel like that, I think. But it's more about like that scene is like a fun extra scene. It's not the end of the character. My issue is like, that's the end of the character. That's Steve Rogers' journey. The whole entire beautiful part of that scene is it's him actually getting to stop being a soldier.
Starting point is 00:48:52 And now it's like he got to stop being a soldier for three to six minutes. How long was the song? Like it makes it makes everything in ellipses. And I get that comic books are weekly. I know more about comics than most people. But there are ends to stories. Like every there's a beautiful comic called whatever happened in The Man of Tomorrow. And it's, uh, yeah, yeah, you have me read that.
Starting point is 00:49:11 Yeah. It's Alan Moore writing the end of pre-crisis Superman. Yeah. That means canonically, the Superman that was from the 40s got an ending and it's beautiful and it's a really cool story. That doesn't undermine the fact that we got another Superman. Certainly not. And as times and stories evolve, that's the beauty of comic books. That's the beauty of serialized stuff.
Starting point is 00:49:31 But I also love that that story could or could not count depending on how you want to see it. This makes it so filmmaking has a malleability that kind of undermines all of it. Right? Like there's a difference of mediums. There's a difference in storytelling. telling there's a difference in impact if everything is just like, oh, we could just go back and change it. Yeah. You know, like, um, so I, I don't think my issue is that like, I remember thinking when I was a kid,
Starting point is 00:49:59 the special editions was just old people, because at the time when you're 15, old is like anything over 20. But like people that grew up on these were just mad because they changed something. It's not about the change. It's about the integrity. I agree. And that's why I pulled up the Jesus because it's about the integrity. And if anyone looks like Jesus is Loki.
Starting point is 00:50:17 Yeah. And Jared Leto. I mean, but the chat, how's the chat been responding to these scenes and any like rough general indication of how it is? Loki's Dreamwalking. Some people believe that too. But I mean like, I don't know. I feel like when I go online, everyone's like super, super duper hyped about all this stuff. And like I said, they're all really good scenes.
Starting point is 00:50:44 They're all really good scenes. And especially the TVA scene, I thought was great. So leave it to you guys in the comments. Do we got some, I think I saw some super chats coming in. So let's take a break to do some super chats. Yeah. And then we're going to talk about dynamic duo or Daredevil. Maybe we should close out the Daredevil, the MCU shit.
Starting point is 00:51:01 And then we'll talk about Dynamic Duo. Yeah, I like that. Yeah, I like that. Yeah. Thank you to everyone who's here. If you can leave a like, that would be amazing. Wow. I should have put this on slower mode mode because, uh, yeah, there's a lot of things.
Starting point is 00:51:20 These comments are coming in fast. I'm trying to like, just read the chat right now. My God. Everyone's mad at me for not liking change. but they're probably 12 and I was like that when I don't think everyone is mad at you the ones I saw not everyone's mad at you I was mad at change and they are probably children I get it the ones that sit out to Koi are the ones that's what I see if you showed positivity and love I don't feel a thing like doctor doom okay all right so let's get to it uh we won't read every single one of these uh but so after doing some of this then we're going to go on to the daredevil story Michael Bedina also still waiting for my two, nope, I'm in the run. No, my bad.
Starting point is 00:52:01 Stephen McGreary. There you go. Should I see Avengers Endgame encore, an IMAX or 40X, Infinity Vision? Really want to see it in IMAX, but heard rumors about Infinity Vision, love from the UK.
Starting point is 00:52:11 Infinity Vision sounds a bit like a hack to me, honestly. I'm not, it's a label. It sounds, because when I went to go buy tickets, I remember when the tickets came out, and I was every single screen.
Starting point is 00:52:22 It was so many. There's every, it's every auto, it's every auto. They're all, they're all fucking Infinity Vision, especially out here. I don't know what's like for you guys who are not in L.A., but in L.A., I'm like, every auditorium like that are back to back to back showings is Infinity Vision. So I'm like, this can't be like a premium format.
Starting point is 00:52:41 It's meant to be like the theaters that could be up to a certain standard, but I don't know what the standard is. It's just a standard. Yeah, it could be like just if you have like the laser projector, it could be a certain sound standard, which could mean there are theaters that are just not updated that maybe don't get that certification. Yeah. But like, I didn't see any non, but we're in the media capital of the West Coast. Sure. So like, I don't know if it's because we're boozy doches or if it's just everything. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:53:07 But also IMAX and I love IMAX, but IMAX is also just a label. Like IMAX used to be a certain size of screen and that's not true anymore. It used to be a certain ratio of seating rake. That's not true anymore. They shoot this with a special type of IMAX cameras. It's like it takes up more of the screen in a way that feels natural. Like I once saw episode three, Phantom Minutes. No. Nope.
Starting point is 00:53:29 Nope. The Sith. My God. Revenge of the Sith. Jesus. Oh, that's what? That happened. So I once saw episode three and they, they just stretched it and it look terrible.
Starting point is 00:53:40 Yeah. And so, yeah, but they shoot this with actual, like, expanding cameras. They might have better quality. I feel like especially, like, they see that IMAX is a big money maker for a. Oh, yeah. They know they need to have a. Oh, wait a minute, though. Oh, on game encore, not doomsday.
Starting point is 00:53:53 Yeah, okay. It's not on IMAX, Doomsday. Oh, happy days. Good afternoon, fellow, has been loving the MCU rewatch. Thank you. I think, is it this Monday? I think this Monday we start doing our Spider-Man releases,
Starting point is 00:54:08 because we have no way home coming up. So we were like, let's do the Spider-Man movies, and then we'll culminate to no way home. I've been here four or five days a week. Greg has been here seven days a week because Greg's here when I'm not here, and I've been here a lot. So we got a lot of footage coming to you guys. Got a lot of Greg and Coy.
Starting point is 00:54:22 Yep, team enough. with mixed opinions on Spider-Man movies. That was an up-and-down experience. Greg loves Homecoming. I wasn't mean when we watched it. And he got me. I liked it. Shooted in to find out.
Starting point is 00:54:33 I liked it when it's, whatever. It's fine. It's fine movie. It's the definition of a fine, okay, Spider-van movie. Spider-Man 3 elicid strong emotion. That was a hot.
Starting point is 00:54:47 That reaction, that's the thing. Like, people like, there's some pause frames of that. I don't know. When he was like, it's fine. Like, it's, it's, you hate it or you're like, I don't know, I kind of like it. Dude, there's some moments in there where Greg and Coy are watching different movies. I dig on, dig on this.
Starting point is 00:55:03 Dig on this. I do love this so good. The pie scene is fucking hard. I see, I see 23. Hi, guys. I personally think that the banner, Hulk, thank you for the super chat, that the banner Hulk scene should have been the end of Spider-Man brand new day. What are your thoughts?
Starting point is 00:55:18 I don't think they wanted to put a doom scene in a Sony movie. Oh, yeah, that's true. No, I don't, I feel like just with the way the movie, the way we vibe with that kind of film, because that movie feels like more than just some like event, we saw the Spider-Man movies. Yeah. And there's, I remember any day special. It's not, like a, like a film. And it finishes.
Starting point is 00:55:40 Like, there's people who don't. It's an ending. It's people like red letter media who don't like a lot, who don't like these kind of things most of the time. And they, I saw their review and they were like, they really like that movie. And I'm like, damn, even these guys are really like this movie. Because it is more of like a film film and less of a little one. Like, let's set up a bunch of future stuff. And I don't know.
Starting point is 00:55:59 I like where it ended with Hulk there. And I feel like it's more appropriate to put here. I can understand the reasoning why, but I feel like just vibe wise. It fits better. Yeah, I agree. Evan Baker. Hey, Evan. Hello, good sirs.
Starting point is 00:56:13 Just wanted to say you're both crushing the fitness journey. Coy, your transformation videos on IG are such an inspiration. And Greg, have you done that Sparta race yet? I did. I did great, actually. I was surprised by how good I did. How did it go? Love the both of you.
Starting point is 00:56:26 Appreciate it, man. We love exercising. Coy and I are both on up and down weight gains. I weighed in today. I'm only 2.1 pounds heavier than my wedding, which I thought that would have slipped a lot. I really was great. But I had only got up four pounds. I dropped the two, so it showed that it was very flexed the weight.
Starting point is 00:56:43 You look great, though. Thank you. It was scary when you let go and you're like, oh, no, I have to rebuild habits. Like, habits fall off way easier than they get tacked on. so would you lose a habit? It's way hard to, like, rebuild. So I recently had some eye trauma. So I haven't been able to work out
Starting point is 00:56:57 because I can't balance at all. And I fall over a lot. So I'm working on rebuilding and learning how to work out in a different deficit. Hell yeah, butter. Aging. Better, brother.
Starting point is 00:57:09 Butter, butter. Isaac, do you guys think there will be barons of black? Black and white, the void? Black Widow of the Void. Bonnie Walker, the void. Black Widow in the Void? Maybe that's what's happy with Bruce Banner.
Starting point is 00:57:28 I hope we get to see Maestro. What's the BW stand for? Barons of Boardwalk. Barons of... What is BW here? I don't know what it means. Guys in the chat, can you help us understand what this means? I feel dumb.
Starting point is 00:57:46 Barons of BW? The void. I don't know. what that means. Barons BW. All right. There's a VW. That's good. That's good. BW in the void. I have black and white. I don't understand.
Starting point is 00:58:08 Battle world. There's a battle world. That makes so much. I think there's just too many things that are BW. I do feel we deserve. We deserve every comment that we get. The gap was just long enough to us to look like fools. Oh, God. That's embarrassing. Yeah, battle,
Starting point is 00:58:25 I don't know how we. Yes. We cannot put it together. Wow. I couldn't even remember the subtitle for episode three. Maybe that's what is happening with Bruce Banner. I hope we see Maestro. Yeah, I mean, that's exactly what Corey was talking about earlier.
Starting point is 00:58:42 Yeah, I think that's possible and likely. I also, it's tricky because I do feel like a lot of that imagery was used in old man Logan, which was then, of course, used in Deadpool and Wolverine and Logan. So I don't know if we'll do like, you know, some of the imagery will feel. familiar so they'd have to mix it up a little. Yeah. Well, the thing is, I feel like we pitch a lot of ideas, like as audience members, theories and such, and then we look at comics, but like Secret Wars is a very complex, complicated comic. It's not someone you could, it's something you could just adapt and throw an audience member into. It's fucking crazy. It's dense. It's got a lot of lead-up,
Starting point is 00:59:18 which I don't think they've had the chance to do a lot of the necessary lead-up. And for these movies that need to make $2 billion now. Yeah. They're not, they're not going to, they're not going to simplify the shit out of that. No, they got to make sure it's for like everybody.
Starting point is 00:59:32 Like not just like the people that would follow that kind of. But you look at, you know, like across the spider verse introducing Canada events and into the spider verse introducing like quantum theory. Those were impressive linear concept. Like making big concepts linear. I think it is possible.
Starting point is 00:59:48 I just don't know if secret wars would take that much of a swing. I think the secret wars. especially Hickman one has the ethereal sci-fi headiness that I don't feel like we'll be present. Yeah. I think it'd be cool if we got some like fucking medieval shit. So do I. I think that'd be awesome.
Starting point is 01:00:06 That's kind of what I was leaving. It would surprise me. It would surprise me. I think we could get at least some medieval in in secret wars. Let's hope. Yeah, because they need to make it different. They've done a lot of Avengers. I see I see 23. Also thank you R.R. and Koi for your streams. I listen to them in my car on my way too. And from work, keep it up, but also take the time to recharge during the upcoming busy season of pop culture greatness.
Starting point is 01:00:29 Yeah, we're looming. We do have a lot. So, I'm so tired. Goy's going to be leaving town for his honeymoon. He's going to be gone for a couple weeks. And if we don't get Vision Quest screeners, he won't be in the first couple episodes. Maybe you should just do solo reactions for the first couple when you're back here. Could?
Starting point is 01:00:45 Yeah. Right when you land. Yep, the day I get back. Actually, I should come back from the airport. Come back. Sit my ass in a shit. Oh, I was so relaxed and just beautiful nature. Can you just film it while you're in Ireland?
Starting point is 01:00:56 Oh, yeah. So that way it's relevant when it comes out? I'll find some Wi-Fi. I'll leave the castles and the wonder and the whimsy, and I'll watch some vision quest. I want to be reminded of AI in the entertainment industry while I'm on vacation. So I'd like to have that inserted as much as I can. I'm just saying, man, you've got to get your priorities. I mean, yeah, I've worked straight through to get to this point.
Starting point is 01:01:17 And that work is what pays for that honeymoon. So you should work some more. While there, she might have to zoom from there for an interview, which is so exhausting. We're content creators. We don't get a day off. No. Our job is as important as doctors and anyone else that works 24-7. We got to be on call.
Starting point is 01:01:36 We got to make sure we're ready because the entertainment doesn't wait. They're bleeding out people metaphorically, waiting for our takes. Don't be ridiculous. We are so much more important than those fucking losers. Yeah. Doctors saving lives. Hacks. They want to keep you sick.
Starting point is 01:01:54 Yeah. We're here to heal. That's right. With our hot takes, that's how I like to heal. With my opinions, I took the HIPAA Oath to give a fuck. Where our audience is consistently disagreeing with us. Yeah, just like what I go to the doctor and I say, not it.
Starting point is 01:02:13 Same to you, audience. One day we'll just conform. Yeah. I just fucking say what they want us to say. I'm so excited for whatever Ironman thing they do to doom, and it won't bother me at all, because it's worth it for the shininess. What I will actually say to that effect, though,
Starting point is 01:02:29 is for everyone, there's a lot of people who don't agree with us, who show up a lot. Yeah. And are here like everywhere. I'm saying they show up a lot and are supportive. I'm not talking about haters or people who want to just be here. There are those people for sure.
Starting point is 01:02:45 No, I think constructive criticism is. There's a lot of people who are. here like every week who do not agree with us yeah but they they still are so kind and they'll still show up on our super chats no that's that's that's that's a conversation versus yelling yeah so i appreciate that like we can still the more we can be more honest i'm so used to clapping before reading questions because of the fucking uh patron yeah honesty let's give it up for honesty fucking doing it give it for honesty argument yeah Eddie rios just dropping to say hi at the top of it will turn after i watch encore love what you guys are doing daily
Starting point is 01:03:17 Thank you, buddy. Keep up the grind. Got to collab with the skate pod someday. Much love from Florida. Yes, yes. I do want to collab with the skate pod. I just met Andrew officially last week at Resident Evil. And we talked for quite a bit. I've been Alex too, right? Yeah, I've been Alex a few times. And yeah, the first thing Alex said to me is like, what are we going to get you on the pod? And I'm like, now, now, please. Would you like me to talk Resident Evil? You guys, you guys are the most popular podcast right now. I would love to come out of five. Please bring me on. Am I relevant to the generation alpha?
Starting point is 01:03:49 Am I hip with you guys still? I love the teens. Actually, it was funny today. I have a clip popped up from their pod where it was like a six second one. I want to get a compilation together and present it to them when I see them again. Hello, I've been studying your work. I've been studying your work and here's what the internet has to say about you. It's loud.
Starting point is 01:04:05 It was Alex being like, Toy Story 3 is the best Holocaust movie, right? Schindler's list right before. He said it's so sensitive. seriously. I love those guys. Like I mean, you've asked me, you're like, you know, I don't vouch for a lot of creators. I vouch for those guys. They're very honest kids though. Yeah. And they're fucking, I love how dedicated they are. Like they're actually well researched. Like they do the work when you do the show and they're so passionate. And they're passionate. Like, their takes aren't just to piss you off. Like they believe them. And it's so rare. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:36 I love how I love how honest they are. So many people that have huge followings either don't give a fuck or they're pretending to like have a take or worse yet, they're like, like, I read this thing and this is what the consensus is. So I'm going to say it and I have a platform. These guys are like, I don't care what the consensus is. I have a strong belief and I've built a platform out of it. Like, I respect the fuck out of that. Now can I come on?
Starting point is 01:04:57 Look, look how much I've said. I'm almost the first, now can I come on? I was the first fourth timer. I want to be the first fifth timer and get a jacket like an S&L. Fifth timers. They can afford it. Oh yeah. They get, they got it.
Starting point is 01:05:07 Make me a jacket. All right. So what do we got here? Spidey Sensee. Yeah, 272. Hey, now that the Realtz Reject Studio has a PS5 in the Wolverine game, can Koi finally play this game and experience it? Coy complains about having to watch movies here.
Starting point is 01:05:25 You think we got time to throw him another 50-hour video game? My eyes broke. I broke my eyeballs. Guys, I don't know if I can. Actually, I haven't been able to, I don't know if my hand-eye coordination will work with my new eyes. People definitely missed you in the comments when they got Alex. Aaron and Sean. Oh, that's very kind. Yeah, we, we were trying to make that work and then it kind turned into Greg's leaving for a little bit. I'm leaving for a big chunk. And so we had to get about
Starting point is 01:05:53 a month ahead. So right when Wolverine came out, it would have been like, I think it would have been like 60 hour weeks. It would have been impossible. It actually wasn't possible. Yeah. And then we, I was already, I found myself when we were doing like, I was getting sick and I was watching, when we were watching some of these movies, I was like, oh man, I'm so brain dead. I feel like I have no energy. People probably think I just don't want to be here. So if we played a whole video game, it would be. It would have been devastating. I mean, as it is, I have to, like, get glasses and figure out, like, the new version of
Starting point is 01:06:19 being 40 soon. But I do want to play it. Yeah, I've heard it's from people not in the gaming, like, bra, like, I've heard from casuals. And that's who I am. It's very user-friendly for someone like you. Yeah. It's got a trail you can follow.
Starting point is 01:06:30 Love that. It's got a little, the thing that people hate. I would need. That they're like, they treat their audience like, idiots. I'm an idiot. They're like, this is weird. I'm dumb. Yes.
Starting point is 01:06:39 I can comment and also be dumb. Fucking A-C. Coy will complete this game. I can win here. You can ride a motorcycle without having to touch the controller? That's amazing. Peanut butter and jelly?
Starting point is 01:06:51 That's the best. Daniel Sessions. Hey, been loving the road to Doomsday. Chance were able to sway y'all, the Agents of Shield 2007 reactions. Are we doing that with the Road to Secret Wars? Wait a minute. Wait a minute.
Starting point is 01:07:09 Guys, I have a genuine question. Which version do we show Jackie and Paige? of Avengers endgame. Do you see the dilemma? We could be the end game and they could be the encore. That's an actual different reaction. Like that's a legitimate different reaction. They won't know what the fuck's going.
Starting point is 01:07:28 They'll get like a Bruce Banner scene without having seen brand new day. They don't need to do. They don't know. It'll be four scenes of them going, what the fuck is going on? They can watch. They don't know what.
Starting point is 01:07:38 And then they can watch encore after brand new day. Because they'll have watched like 10 movies in between. It would be funny to just show them Avengers and Game on court and then being like, I have zero context for what's happening. Oh, and Wilson here?
Starting point is 01:07:53 What is this time variance? Why is Hansel talking about time? What's going on? Yeah, it wouldn't work to it. It doesn't make sense. It wouldn't work to watch the movie before phase four. It wouldn't.
Starting point is 01:08:07 No, it doesn't make any, like half the character. The biggest, like, fucking misfits, O.B., like none of those characters exist to them yet. Like the end. ending can make sense as a tease for what's to come. Like, and honestly,
Starting point is 01:08:19 the thing that we don't like that, they made it the ending. Yeah. Of, of Loki showed up. But that's the one that I think you can get away with. The rest don't work. The Doom one kind of like,
Starting point is 01:08:29 whoa, what was that? Is Iron Man still alive? But like Hulk is Professor Hulk to them. Yeah, that's what I mean. Like Hulk wouldn't be, Hulk would confuse them at the TVA thing.
Starting point is 01:08:37 But anyway, they don't even know what incursions are. That's what I mean. It doesn't make sense. But I just hate change. Ethan T. Hey, Hey, jens, hope you're well.
Starting point is 01:08:47 I missed a few road to dooms day and I'm gutted. It was trying to do everyone with a Patreon question. Don't worry, man. We honored you so much.
Starting point is 01:08:53 I can't wait to watch Ben. We talk about you all the time and all these Spider-Man's. We talk about you way too much. Yeah, actually, you're like an honorary off-screen reject, like Alex, the only off-screen reject. All right.
Starting point is 01:09:03 I know we got a lot more super chats to go through. I know there's some even here, but I want to get us to the Daredeville Born Again story. Oh, and I haven't checked the stream. That's not bad. Where's Alex? She's paying attention. No, I just called her name to see if she was.
Starting point is 01:09:18 Oh, I hear giggles. I hear her name. I hear her talking. Sometimes I hear her name. Alex can suck a nut. Oh, shit. She's a pain in my asshole. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 01:09:31 She's a fucking... Those footsteps were John on her. I thought she was just going to manifest. She only hears her name whispered. She's a goddamn leap. She's watching the live stream in 40 seconds. She'll hear out of the shit talking. Where are you, Alex?
Starting point is 01:09:43 Where are you? Man, I'm thinking so much about Shang-she. It's so good, dude. So good. Like really good. Anyway, let's talk about Daredevil Born Again Season 3. Hey, can you get a photo up of Daredevil, please? Oh, wait a minute.
Starting point is 01:10:01 That was a super chat from the 18th that we'd never actually acknowledge of a stream lab. Okay, Daredevil Born Again season 3. So it was announced that after season 3, Daredevil Born Again is actually officially canceled. and the showrunner, Darry, I forget his name, Dario, Scarpini or something like that. So Dario, he's, he left in the middle of post-production actually,
Starting point is 01:10:29 which that was the big negative sign. And here's the thing, as people who were so excited for Daredevil to come back, I've read a lot of Daredevil. I really love Daredevil. And we even interviewed Vincent Dinoffrio. And afterwards, he was like, guys,
Starting point is 01:10:45 and now that we're not recording, I can tell you, that was the best interview I've ever done. And I can't. And I can't wait to do more for all the seasons we have coming up. He was like, you should do a set visit specifically for season four. Yeah. And he was like,
Starting point is 01:10:57 season four, he was crazy. I'm going to get you guys a drive on for season four. It was so kind. And now, now we're not going to get that. Now we're not going to get that. Now we've got to drink wine with Vincent.
Starting point is 01:11:07 I feel sorry for Charlie Cox from the show adults. It's really sad. Adults is Charlie Cox. Really. You know, I feel bad for Scooby-Doo's Matthew Lilly. Oh, yeah. Oh, my God, they really set that up.
Starting point is 01:11:18 I know. Anyway, it was one of those weird things, though, when Daredevil was canceled season three to bring you guys back for who maybe wasn't living that era of Netflix, there were some cancellations already happening or Daredevil season three was the first one to go. But it just kind of came out of nowhere.
Starting point is 01:11:37 It was like, what the fuck? I was doing well. Yeah. It was like, wait, why? And then all the got canceled. It's a great season. And then weirdly Jessica Jones came out like way later. Like the other ones, you're like, okay, I don't really likes our fist.
Starting point is 01:11:48 I'm sad, but you know, I get it. I was a lot. But Daredevil was like, whoa. And Luke Cage was like, about to film a week later. There was no save Jessica Jones campaign, which should have been. There was no save Luke Cage, which should have been. Like, there was none of that. That show was about to shoot.
Starting point is 01:12:01 That show was already in like pre-production. And it was a great ending. And then Daredevil, they champion for years. He shows up at No Way Home. The reality is, is that season two, it is just so obvious that the viewership drastically dipped. You could see it reflected in all numbers all around. You can look up the reports and then you can look up YouTube views of all the channels.
Starting point is 01:12:23 I thought it was also markedly better. It was insanely better. But I feel like the negative effect that season one left just left people listless. They were disinterested now or not as they're just not as excited. It wasn't even like lack of marketing for season two. I remember like the season two marketing looked good, but it was like, It's more of the same It's fucking just fighting King Bin again
Starting point is 01:12:47 Yeah, so and like oh Jessica Jones is here cool But the the marketing didn't really show that difference But season one I feel like just left people Imagine wanting Daredevil for so long And then season one comes out And while there's a lot of defenders of it No pun intended While there's a lot of people who really go to bat for that show
Starting point is 01:13:07 It's pretty apparent It shows in season two return especially that it negatively affected people's desire for Daredevil and Kingpin. And on top of that, they were diluting Kingpin on the way to Daredevil Born Again with Echo, Hawkeye. So they've had these things. And while season two is the best Kingpin's been in so long. And while season two was phenomenally better than season one, I still don't quite feel like it reached quite the heights of the Netflix show, despite being a great season of TV. I'm just saying it's weirdly like I get it
Starting point is 01:13:46 it's not as much of a surprise to me yeah this time around and I wasn't and even this wasn't something that happened and announced and people were like up in arms and it was taking off like wildfire that was like for Wonder Man yeah yeah there was
Starting point is 01:14:03 I mean they they told because that was a new exciting thing and it was great and they just announced a season two but it's crazy to think that like we got Daredebel back and the the uproar was stronger for a Wonder Man season two because of how much Wonder, Daredevil season two it did. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:17 Like I'm just marking that the character of Daredevil not going on didn't really have an impact as much as a character like Wonder Man who like, yeah, I think that shows how good Wonder Man was as well. Like I want to give that as flowers.
Starting point is 01:14:30 But I mean, I, I love Justin and Aaron Man. And I think they were really building something special. I think it was going to keep getting better and better. I think they were like finding a really cool unique take and rhythm. I would have kept watching,
Starting point is 01:14:42 but I also know that, you know, we felt it when we were filming it, that, you know, you put out a video and it's not like a fucking one to one of, you know, if they're not watching ours, they're not watching the show. But you can tell between seasons and you can tell in the conversation and the engagement a difference if it's that stark. And I remember when we were putting stuff out just being like, oh, we love this, but I feel like it's not the same water cooler conversation. It's not, you know, the same cultural impact that it had been. No, yeah, it's not. You also pay attention. But nothing on Disney Plus has been since the first. chunk. A big part of it is wanting to disassociate. Some people think it's just because of after
Starting point is 01:15:17 secret wars, there's going to be a reboot coming of sorts and we might get a new daredevil or whatever. Maybe to me, this seems more like a financial decision more, more than it is anything else. There's also that collidered thing. I think collater's the one that started it. They were like, they're done with Disney Plus shows. And then they've been like, who said that? No, there's more. Yeah. And they just announced a bunch. And it's like not what they are, but they announce that they're doing more and they've got like code names. But it's so funny how like a story will take hold. and it becomes fact without a source. Like it, by the time,
Starting point is 01:15:45 I remember my Wolverine show pitch that got, that cycles back every few months where people are like, oh, that wolverine idea you had. Like, that's now the thing
Starting point is 01:15:53 that people approach me on the street about and like talk about with me with me with. But there was a window where everybody was coming up. They're like, it's too bad. They're not doing Disney Plus show Marvel ever again
Starting point is 01:16:00 because you're a little idea. And I was like, when was that announced? Like, that was never said. So it was interesting when you hear this thing and people make it fact and it's like,
Starting point is 01:16:08 no. And this dare to think just is adding fuel to that. where people are going to be like, see, no more shows, but then in a few years when we have new shows, it's a weird time for Marvel, because I could see Secret Wars ending stuff by the momentum right now, but there is no official indication that's going to be the case.
Starting point is 01:16:24 Well, something that just popped in my head while you were talking is that this comes out a bit of an irony of Punisher. It was such a TV established character, John Bernthals. And then he's a brand new day. And he gets special. He got the special, but then brand new, day. It's like that's the biggest movie of all time. And he's one of the supporting
Starting point is 01:16:45 characters and he's one of the things they use for marketing consistently. So he's got a lot of hype around him. I could weirdly see them continuing the Punisher story in some way. I don't continue Charlie Cox's story. And I that's what I mean. I think you can, I feel, I'm hoping that maybe there's some blessing in disguise here. Apparently the cast found out after it was already reported. But maybe so fucked up. But maybe
Starting point is 01:17:07 Daredevil can appear in a Spider-Man, like actual Daredevil, not Charlie Cox. as a lawyer, not Matt Murdoch, the lawyer, but Daredevil. Like, if we can get Daredevil and Kingpin in like a Spider-Man movie, that was just something I wanted. Kevin Feige said the legal's of that is manageable. Like, it is possible, he said.
Starting point is 01:17:22 Yeah, so maybe there's a way they can carry on. I'd love that. I think, you know, it is sad. I'm not going to lie. It's sad. And I'm excited for season three and to see the defenders, but now I'm worried that no one's going to watch season three because that shit I was talking earlier. You're like, well, it's over.
Starting point is 01:17:36 Doesn't matter anymore. Like, why would you not want more? Like, why would you not spend time? Like, you don't watch us. season of a show for its next season. You don't watch a movie for its next movie. You watch it for the thing it is. That's what's like I'm really strong feeling with art right now because people are watching movies and shows like their trailers. That's the fucking cake. Enjoy it. Like that's your meal. Enjoy the meal. True. Good call. Anyway, that's that sad news. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:05 I'm here for Super Chats. Yeah. Let's talk to the people. What a weird vibe and energy. what's that you refresh that Ray did you refresh it already thanks Ray you're doing great Ray I don't think Alex is watching no we called her a lot of insults and names
Starting point is 01:18:21 whispered it to the mic she'd hear it she'd hear it yeah she can go to hell yeah I don't even remember what we needed her for I don't either now why do we why were we I think we were saying she's the only off-screen reject but then you had a need
Starting point is 01:18:33 and I was like I don't know what it is do we need her I have a lot of needs yeah I'm a needy guy that's fair no you're way too far down homie I don't know what's happening
Starting point is 01:18:42 you're all the way at Lant you're all the way a while ago live stream right there yeah Hunter Zach boo yeah good job Hunter Zach I know you guys
Starting point is 01:18:52 have discussed it elsewhere but I loved Zach Craigers we're gonna talk about Dynamic Duo after we do after we do a few of these but I love Zach Craigers Resident Evil
Starting point is 01:18:59 after watching it I'm really curious about the henchman script he wrote for DC I hope it gets made eventually now I loved Resident Evil and this guy did not love Resident Evil.
Starting point is 01:19:11 B minus. But he loved Supergirl. He raved about Supergirl and he defends the shit out of Supergirl. Every day. I actually call Greg up sometimes at 2 a.m. And I'm like, yo, I need to do my traditional goodnight. And I have to serenade you in line by line
Starting point is 01:19:31 because I have memorized the film. It's just crazy, man. It's just like it, I think it might have dethrown fight club. Yeah, maybe. but henchman do you remember this idea this concept yeah uh i think it's a cool idea i think it it's hard because of uh
Starting point is 01:19:46 the the vitriol of comic fans like so many people will be like why do we want that that's not what i asked for and then like i wouldn't want to be zach ragger jack cragher just went through all the video game mousles i wouldn't want to get into a comic book space now but he just won over a billion of them yeah but it's not worth it man
Starting point is 01:20:02 i wouldn't make like a fandom thing after dealing with that shit because like a henchman is it's going to be the people being like why don't we just get a bad man thing why would we want a henchman thing like it's going to be the exhausting audience that the people with the girl garage show the people with the fucking lantern show up until lanterns came out where he's like why is this show set in the desert and this serious drama when I don't think in space came came out and everybody's like this fucking awesome but like why dedicate your life to the end grateful fuck these people why doesn't you just get off the internet really exactly Craigor's responsibility to take care of his own mental health is what I'm saying. Or you can make your own eye. I would say he should make his own IPs. Nolan doesn't have a phone. No one doesn't have an email. So jealous every day.
Starting point is 01:20:46 No one doesn't have a house. No one doesn't have a car. Nolan doesn't have a suit. No one has no clothes. He doesn't have clothes or family. They call him Nolan for a reason. He's got no land. All he does is direct naked.
Starting point is 01:20:58 He's a new director. It's like Sam Ramey wore a suit to honor Hitchcock. Nolan wears nothing to honor our ancestors before art. He has no internet. He's the original artist. He has no computer. Nothing. No typewriter.
Starting point is 01:21:10 He draws his storyboards by hand. That's why the dialogue's weak. And then Wally Fister comes in or whoever's DP in that time, he's just like, I got to interpret this naked man's rantings. No, Lynn. I don't know how he does. It's a miracle. It's impressive. But that's why he always looks happy.
Starting point is 01:21:23 Yeah. Freedom. Ethan T. Sounds odd, but I genuinely love to meet you both someday. That's fucking weird. So odd. I wouldn't want to meet me. Just shake both your hands at the same time and give you both.
Starting point is 01:21:37 a cuddle to say thank you for being our heroes? Oh, a cut. Oh, it does say that. I thought you were being Sir Cat. I thought you went off book. I literally was like, this is Greg making shit up. Nope. I would love to meet you you on day. Ethan, I, you're British, I think. Right? Yeah, there's GBA. I want to hear
Starting point is 01:21:54 his accent. Because he's always so like kind and polite. I imagine like a little bridge whimsy and that would be delightful. You can do a British accent. I can't. Yeah, you can. I've heard you do it. Sounds odd, gents. But I genuinely love to meet you both. Oh, you know, what you know. I'm a chimney sweep.
Starting point is 01:22:10 Someday and shake your little hands. Sweep your own chimney, oh, right, all right. Give you both a week. Cuddled and say thank you for being our heroes. Right, right, right. We love that. If you ever see Coy and I in the streets,
Starting point is 01:22:22 especially Coy, you have to say hi to him. I'll be in Ireland in like three weeks, two weeks. I'm in Ireland soon. So I'll be a hop, skipping a jump away. I've seen Coy stand outside of the theater
Starting point is 01:22:35 without having a showtime. He's just hoping. somebody notices. I hold him a sign and it says, I'm coy John Dro. And then in small, it says love me. And I mean, I mean it. Without attention, I'm like the Babaduke. Trey Wharton, coy, those locks are getting glorious. Don't cut them and grow down your shoulders. I need an Andrew Garfield meme, please. And thank you. Would you ever grow your hair long? I think I am. I was going to go for it. Yeah, I was going to do a Mohawk.
Starting point is 01:23:06 I'm not even kidding this isn't me being sarcastic when I got the hair transplant the goal was I missed my mohawk from 2019 I had a really like a wide mohawk and it was my favorite hairstyle I ever had so when I got the transplant the whole time was like I have to get through the wedding
Starting point is 01:23:21 I'm not going to have a mohawk for my wedding but right after that I'm going to start growing it back out like that's my goal and then right as it was about to be that haircut like we'd been starting to taper it for that style and not make it look ridiculous the next haircut was going to be right before Ireland and I was going to be the mohawk
Starting point is 01:23:35 and my eyesight went out and I was like I cannot be a middle-aged man of the Mohawk like it hit me that I was like of a certain age like the existential crisis of 38 like guys I'm literally getting glasses and I'm losing my sight and when that happened I was like oh this would look like a cry for help this would not look like I was
Starting point is 01:23:51 trying like this didn't look like premeditated because I've been wanting it for six years but as soon as the old man moment hit I was like fuck I cannot be gets a red corvette when he turns 40 guy so now I'm like fuck it I'll do the I'll do the long hair and see how it looks, which is a different crisis.
Starting point is 01:24:07 Does your hair grow down? No, it kind of goes out. But I'm gonna, I used to a man butt. I had a man bun for a while. So I'm gonna try to get it back and then see if I can like shape it. Because I got a really good barber. Elite cuts Burbank. Well, your wife like that?
Starting point is 01:24:19 She likes it longer. She loves it like this. Like she likes it chaotic, which I love. Okay. So luckily she prefers chaos. As long as she likes it. Because I like buzzing my head or having a Mohawk. She does not like either.
Starting point is 01:24:30 So this is more her speed. But Andrew Garfield, great pull. His hair is fucking amazing. You'll lose jobs if you grow your hair that way, though. It's okay. What jobs? I always do creative jobs. I feel like you'll get a lack of support.
Starting point is 01:24:43 From who? From D.C. They'll be like, hey, get a haircut, hippie. DC's very controlling. Yeah, that's definitely what I experience. They're like, hey. Well, they let me be. Can I go back on your show?
Starting point is 01:24:53 If you don't have your hair long, apparently that's their mandate. But yeah, Andrew Garfield, have you seen his hair lately? Like the last month? It doesn't look real to me. It's fucking amazing. It doesn't look real. I almost did an interview for the uprising, and I legitimately had two roll over questions.
Starting point is 01:25:09 One, Spider-Man, respectfully, because he gets asked every day, but I had to. And then the second one was like, hair care advice. Like, I actually was like, this man's herbal essence commercial is majestic. All right, here we go. Whoa, what? Oh, my God. There's just something crazy happening in my, I'm on Patreon right now. Oh.
Starting point is 01:25:33 Get a lot of updates. well we're screens stimuli just like apps I can't answer that right now sorry I just posted and I forgot so I was getting a bunch of notifications on YouTube and I was like I'm live elsewhere what's happening dance Trey warding Greg you grow and Andrew Garfield
Starting point is 01:25:50 Maine 2 please that ain't gonna happen man I can barely manage this fucking nonsense I have right now Dance for life cool like the Mike Shinotica was red Like I almost wanted to buzz my head again But then I was like I'll look like I'm gonna get slimmer again that's true thanks wait are you bigger now than you're with the the buzz cut absolutely yeah all right oh yeah i've had a wild fluctuation between what's i was joking because i thought you were the same weight i've been in the same 20 pound like fluctuation boom like
Starting point is 01:26:23 you're not 20 pounds more than the buzz cut yeah no not not now no no okay but there was a time was that I was like oh my god what happened you look you look like this mostly the same I wouldn't have guessed like anyone I would have thought like four or five don't try to don't try to save yourself I'm back peddle my ass off don't don't try to do this you gained 20 times at any point no you were like you're like not fat ass you can't shave your head maybe no one likes a fat bald guy is what you said I could see it in your face is anofrio I think that's different he's got like he's intimidated he's intimidating he's he's a scary fat ball like actually yeah like like actually yeah like I'm not intimidating fatballed.
Starting point is 01:27:02 I'm like, I look, I look weaker. You look huggable. My hair. I feel like people only like me when I have hair. I thought you had a different like nests about you're the buzzcat. Like you carry yourself different. I had really defined six pack then. But that wasn't it.
Starting point is 01:27:17 You also like, it was closer. I know, but for some reason, the way you carry. Oh, it's so different. No,
Starting point is 01:27:23 no, that's true. You don't have like a, and the shape of your head is different. I'd say that. I would never guess you'd gain 20, pounds at any point in the last year. I definitely did.
Starting point is 01:27:32 Wow. I got care. I was actually like a few months after it's like, I would not stop binge eating. Yeah. It's hard when you lose that much weight. Your body's like, uh, are we dying? Let's eat. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:43 And then it's really gross. I was like 218 then I got down to 172 for the photos. So like I lost a lot of weight. So I have, I wiggle. It's a fuck around. You can do your head and shave now and not look like big because you're not anywhere near 218. Probably.
Starting point is 01:27:57 Gay guy still check me out. That's what the bar is. If I stop getting hit on for like a full month by gay dudes, I feel like I've done something wrong. Like I know I've like slipped. Like that's the barometer. I understand. How you doing? No one understands better than me, Coy.
Starting point is 01:28:10 Yeah. Dance for live. Hi, guys. How are you doing today? Coy, you look tired. But hope you rest, man. I thought you were kidding again. For the Fox universe, Earth, people are theorizing that the other Earth is Toby's.
Starting point is 01:28:29 Oh, that would make sense. That would be cool. of those that is one thing i like about that tv a scene because there's other earths and and i i don't know how some people of course are are so those are those are nerds the ones who can remember the name of every fucking earth number like whoa that's so hard yeah i don't even i barely remember like yeah we're six one second that's easy because it's three numbers every other number is like a random set that makes no sense like there's no rhyme or reason to them yeah because it needs to be randomized in order to not feel like they're more important
Starting point is 01:29:02 ridiculous but i would like to when doomsday does come out and we see every earth and movie being destroyed they should go to know they should do like the roger corman fantastic four that's the only time they could dulf lundgren punisher tauton they should go way back in time yeah howard the duck they'd yeah howard the duck kill that fucking defenders of howard the the first marvel movie just don't get it do you just don't get it man he hates it so much somewhat I would reply to one comment because it was the one that I saw on my dashboard
Starting point is 01:29:35 you have a YouTube dashboard I knew before like to not dive in because I'm like I know there's a bunch of defenders of this but one column was like you know the problem is you took this movie way too serious like no I didn't I said you know what it could be is that a movie that people consider
Starting point is 01:29:52 generally terrible we just didn't like perhaps a bad movie is perhaps we were one of the people who thought the movie that everyone think that most people think is terrible is actually bad to us. It is a no-win scenario doing. Like, for example, we're doing all the Marvel movies, but like, we have to watch them all because we're doing all of them.
Starting point is 01:30:09 But, like, I never liked Captain Marvel. And, like, the people in, like, the Captain Marvel comments are watching a reaction because they probably like it. Like, you don't generally... Sure. You're either very extreme, like, 10% hate or, like, 90% of people are watching it because they like it. But you have to be, like, honest with your own opinion.
Starting point is 01:30:24 You can't just like everything. Nope. So, yeah, it's a... Howard the Ducks one of those. Also, I am tired. Dance for Lod. I've watched nine movies in the last two and a half days. Corey's got shit on his face.
Starting point is 01:30:34 Do I? I appreciate. Yeah, I'm barely fucking functioning and I still got a day and a half more work. But then it a day off. No one complains more about their work in the entertainment industry than Koi genre. That might be true. Bruce Willis before he had his brain thing. He complained a lot.
Starting point is 01:30:53 Yeah. I'm up there. That's why people always love to Bruce Willis. I know I did. Who else? Because he really seemed to not like doing his job. You really did. It's no, that's real.
Starting point is 01:31:04 Like I really struggled on surrogates, man. That was hard. Maui, yo. Forgot to ask. Damn, clever. This for the amazing Spider-Man, too, the deleted scene where Peter meets his parents at the end. You all think they should have kept that scene in the movie. Okay.
Starting point is 01:31:19 So if you guys don't know, there's a scene that they did release on the internet where Peter is at the cemetery and then his dad's spy shows up. And it's like, no, no. It's like beautiful acting. I did like about 90% of it for you. And he's just crying. It is heartbreaking. And I don't really remember how it ends. But then so his dad was still alive.
Starting point is 01:31:44 Now we watched the amazing Spider-Man too recently. And we, we had fun. But I don't think that scene would have worked in that movie. I don't know where. Yeah, the parent stuff was easily the worst part of the movie. And that's just cut it. Yeah. I don't want any more parent stuff.
Starting point is 01:32:01 I always thought that was a really dumb retcon to add the spy element to his parents, much less in a movie. It works even less in a movie. One of the weirdest experiences of doing the Spider-Man binges was watching Amazing Spider-Man 2. And being like,
Starting point is 01:32:16 because I didn't mind Electro in the first half. Like when you get to the Times Square scene, I was wild. I feel so bad for that. Like, I felt bad for him. I'm like, you feel so bad for this character. And then afterwards, he's just like, I'm a blue mean guy.
Starting point is 01:32:31 Blue mean. And then you watch No Way Home. We went No Way Home the very next day. And I couldn't. I was so distracted by this is not the same guy. Like at all. And the crux of the film is that they are those characters moments later. And it seems like they're trying.
Starting point is 01:32:49 Yeah, like he was pulled from the finale of the Amazing Soccer Man too. It's him. And they have that one line about like different energy. That's why I look different. But like you're acting different. it seemed like so i didn't i didn't actually say it directly like this it seemed so try hard to like we're really he's really trying to be like no people hated me in it i gotta be cool as shit in this and jimmy fox is so cool that's what makes him trying hard hard because like jimmy fox is so
Starting point is 01:33:15 naturally cool yeah to see him being like gotta make up for max dillon so true if if they'd done like a multiverse there i would have been okay with it like if they're like oh in a slightly different universe of the water so it can be jami fox I'd fuck with it. But like, it really did work. So when they send back the villains at the end of No Way Home, the concept is they'd live because of a choice. So that means the Spider-Man one movie with Toby McGuire doesn't end that way.
Starting point is 01:33:44 Right. They change the ending of those movies. Just like Endgame Encore. Just like we all want. I don't know how I feel about this now. Nothing to ever be final. Everything can be changed. Now that I've just said it out loud in Miami.
Starting point is 01:33:58 I don't know how I feel about that. ending. Don't worry, Spider-Man 4 will be all the new endings. Christian Unpronounceable. Hey, you streaming, lovely. So either of you know if B-15 is in the new scene or maybe in Doomsday. Uh, uh, uh, good use of lovely. I forget. No, that's Casey who I'm thinking of. Casey. I didn't see B-F, I don't think I saw B-15 in that, in that encore scene. I mean, she's in Deadpool and Wolverine. So she's got, I imagine she'll probably pop up. She was, she was like heading the TVA. Yeah. She was leading everything. Yeah. imagine like if there's TVA heavy stuff she'll be in it i hope she comes back yeah she's great um christian unproncible
Starting point is 01:34:35 did you all see the day drinking trailer depp is doing the weirdest accent dude the debt come back looks so odd and i'm here for his weird ass acting again have you seen this day drinker trailer from mark web Mark Webb It's like a supernatural It's like Jody Depp playing the drunk I think he's not British He's something he's one of those European voices So he's not
Starting point is 01:35:04 Scottish I forget what he is But it's Johnny Depp You know being a drunker You know a Johnny Depp as he does Mark Webb's documentary But it's like drunk Supernatural John Wick or some shit Like it's a fucking weird trailer
Starting point is 01:35:17 I was like this is a look good This looks bizarre Like it could be god awful It definitely feels like or it could be no it's probably going to be bad but in a way that I'm going to really like you know I'm so excited
Starting point is 01:35:32 Johnny Depp looks so committed to it and honestly like even his Ebenezer trailer I liked him in the Ebenezer trailer I was surprised by how fun I thought he wasn't that you didn't like him at cinema con was odd oh yeah of course because like those can bits never work when someone just comes I think I think it's terrible yeah I don't think they should ever do that so like that
Starting point is 01:35:53 work for me, but I don't like the idea of the Ebenezer trailer, but I hope I like the execution more than the idea. What's wrong with the idea? They're basically trying to, like, I like when villain movies, they stay villains, not when they do the thing where it's, I understand getting in the villains headspace, right?
Starting point is 01:36:09 Like, no one thinks they're a villain. That's, that's movie making, that's storytelling. Like, no one's like, ha ha, I am bad. They rationalize their decisions. But like, the villain movies at Disney always kind of undermine the integrity of the character and this one is doing something else where it's like we're gonna explain why being
Starting point is 01:36:27 a billionaire isn't bad and sometimes wage cuts are good and fuck the proletarian is that really what you got from that trailer why did you get that from that trailer i don't know it's to be like a rationalize evanese is a fucking christmas carol but it's like it's him being like i'm the lead of the story and my choices make sense and like ebeneez are you talking i don't know maybe i saw a different trailer maybe I was really I really applied some thing I mean the things you don't like I think you really put that I I don't
Starting point is 01:36:58 people in the chat agree with this I did not see this it was from a bunch of quotes that I read right before the trailer like the the director said a bunch of stuff about his perspective on Ebenezer so I watched it fresh with the lens of these quotes I'll see if I can find the quotes
Starting point is 01:37:14 because maybe maybe I'll sound less insane I'm just saying Johnny Depp looked like he was getting really bored for many years And he looks like he's having a lot of fun with these roles. I am a, you know, Hunter S. Thompson. I like the most gonzo. That's what I want out of it. He was my favorite actor for many, many years.
Starting point is 01:37:33 Growing up, he was undoubtedly my favorite actor. Yeah, like I want that version of him, but I also don't know if there's a market for it. Yeah. Like, I don't know if the world, you know. I think it's smart that he's playing in darker movies, though. I agree. Because, I mean, I don't think he should be appealing to like a Disney.
Starting point is 01:37:49 because he didn't like win back everybody, you know? Yeah. Don't try to appeal to four quadrum films. I don't think you should be making like a fucking $200 million movie right now. I feel like the pirates, the conversation had me back in pirates. I'm like, I don't know if we're ready for that yet. But whatever. Thomas Underdown, do you actually think that they have the time for long time?
Starting point is 01:38:08 Got it. In other adaptations, Scrooge is kind of an asshole. And then the rest of the character is benevolent, perfect people. It was really our goal to try to balance that out and say there's so much more great area in the story. We want to make sure Scrooge has logic and a good argument. So when he is making an argument about something, he's not wrong. That's what you got from that? 100%.
Starting point is 01:38:29 And that's the director saying, It's, it's, to me, that was the, it's like when you do hear a villain make an argument where the logic, you're not supposed to be like, you're wrong, that's stupid. That is usually how you watch a Scrooge movie is you're like, come on, man, what's wrong? But the idea to have a main villain character where you do get the, perspective i think that's a that's a great way to play yeah i just didn't connect with the i didn't
Starting point is 01:38:54 work for me with this character i don't think it was about making a billionaire defending the we'll see i don't feel like that's what's happening mad could just be i don't think that's what aggressive liberal bias is my left the director of like the pearl movies is what i don't know i was surrounded by a bunch of leftists could have rubbed off on me we'll see next down. Do you actually think they have the time for long-term doom stuff, especially if they're moving more towards X-Men and so on? And that's why
Starting point is 01:39:27 one Doom movie? There's time for long-term doom stuff, especially if they're moving more towards X-Men and so on, and that's why one-Dome movie. This is the thing about the reboot side that is like kind of muddling to me, because you can do, I mean, Doom doesn't die at the end of Secret Wars
Starting point is 01:39:45 in the comic. And like a lot of the conversation is, you know, after Secret Wars happens, we might some new versions of some people or a lot of time for like resets and stuff for certain aspects right not a full lot like we just got a fantastic four they're not going to just eliminate the fantastic four right there's a black panther three coming out after uh secret wars right so uh but at same time dr doom stuff i they they probably i imagine they'll probably okay let me stop here for a second fantastic four did not do anywhere near as well as they hoped or needed it to do i'm hoping
Starting point is 01:40:21 hoping that somehow through Avengers Doomsday, the excitement for Fantastic Four gets elevated where they can make another Fantastic Four movie. And then perhaps they can have a Doctor Doom, not in the very next one, because we just got Doomsday in Secret Wars, but maybe like the third Fantastic Four movie or something like that. That way we can start getting more of the Dr. Doom presence. I don't know if they would keep it Robert Downey Jr., though. That sounds expensive. That sounds expensive as shit to do. unless of course this movie makes $3 billion.
Starting point is 01:40:53 And they're like, he's literally saving our asses right now. Which it could. And he could play Doom longer term. Yeah. Oh, yeah, the mask.
Starting point is 01:41:01 Because he has a mask. So you don't have to worry much. Like, you don't have to worry about deaging or age or aging in general as much. So there's a lot of ways you can keep them on. However, uh, yeah,
Starting point is 01:41:11 I don't, I don't really feel like we're going to get as much of doom focus stuff. No, I feel like these two are going to be the main doom focus. Which kind of sucks. But again, that's something we've told ourselves on. We don't know.
Starting point is 01:41:20 Yeah, we don't know. And I hope we get a lot of doom because I think he's a great character, depending on how they articulate him here. Yeah, he's doing the hammer at the end of Encom. Yeah, that's how I think of Doom, obviously. As Iron Man. Yeah. Doom iconically makes his own mask, not has people make it for him and then puts it on his face.
Starting point is 01:41:36 He could have been someone else hammering it. Now I'm doing what you do. Yep. Rationalizing sucks. Shouldn't have to. Isaac. I love the way this is the thing that Doomsday is now doing because of Doomsday. Now it's looking like Steve Rogers fucked up.
Starting point is 01:42:02 Steve was selfish. Steve was selfish. That is his ending. That's why it fits. He doesn't get to live happy ever after. The consequences are the story. Totally. However, if Dooms, if Avengers, we've had a billion movies happen, right?
Starting point is 01:42:20 We've had so many movies happen after end game. We've had so many TV shows after endgame. If Avengers doomsday wasn't happening, this rhetoric would never. Would not be going around so strongly right now. Like people are like, yeah, Steve did fuck off. And I don't think he was. There are consequences to what he did. Right, because I like the idea of him being selfish because I think sometimes you should be selfish.
Starting point is 01:42:45 Like he had finished his tour. Like that use of the word selfish, like he is choosing himself is what I see as the ending. But now it's going to be like, because of him, fucking universe could end. Like Captain America, noted piece of shit. And that would not be the conversation. Same. It really does undermine a lot of shit. Is he the lead of this movie?
Starting point is 01:43:10 It seemed like in the beginning. And then it seemed like everybody was like, we got to make sure Doom and Reed have a relationship. And that other trailer was so Reed and Doom Heavy. I don't know. And then the first trailer was Thor heavy. Yeah. It seems like the original trilogy.
Starting point is 01:43:25 the original trio, but now one of them is doom. I really got the sense that Steve would be like a main supporting character or like someone who would come like halfway. One of the four trailer. But he was the first trailer. They make sure to give him this end scenes. It sounds like he might be the lead. I'm so curious that we're two months out.
Starting point is 01:43:44 Like it's coming. It's not even like Captain America. It's Steve Rogers. Right. Because Captain America is Sam Wilson. Yeah. And he's a guy in jeans. Jeans in a black shirt.
Starting point is 01:43:53 Like it's so, dude. Like I don't know. what this movie's going to be. And like that is fun in its own way. Like it's exciting to be like, what the fuck? Yeah. Like that's kind of exciting. But like we're two months out.
Starting point is 01:44:03 Part of me kind of likes it for that dilemma that was posed in, in, uh, when it came to like, yeah, we're not going to get rid of you vision. We're not, we don't sacrifice life in Infinity War. And I, I wonder what it might be like to watch a movie with a lead where he's being blamed for everything that's happening. Mm-hmm. But how we feel if that's like Captain American, you know, like, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:44:27 I like a movie that challenges an audience. That's why Toby McGuire and Spider-Man 3 was a great choice. Oh, yeah. No, his casting from 2000 on just inspired. Yeah. I am challenged. See you, Chuck. My reaction's going to be spicy.
Starting point is 01:44:44 I'm going to put some dirt in your eye. It certainly did. See, Black. Steve decision was selfish. I wait, another one? Back to back. Oh, my God. The ancient one warned them.
Starting point is 01:44:56 Peggy did have a whole fan I feel like the audience is be I feel like it makes sense but I feel like we're being gaslit into now blaming Steve Rogers now I loved his ending Peggy now we're being gaslit into feeling when we watch that ending in the endgame
Starting point is 01:45:12 that like I shouldn't feel good about this this is not a good feeling for him to be with Peggy nope don't like it I never did now that I think about it I hated the ending I actually hated end I actually remembered like not liking that choice.
Starting point is 01:45:27 Yeah. I've decided, you know, end games should be rewritten. That is nuts. Don't you worry. It's happening in real time.
Starting point is 01:45:37 Steve had to know staying in the past wasn't right. It's, it just sounds, the way people talk about it now, it sounds so declarative. And like, come on, guys. You knew this was a bad thing that he did.
Starting point is 01:45:51 Yep. And it's going to be the thing, dude. Like, this is where we are. That is so insane. That to me, that to me is like the bigger conversation. They're retroactively ruining the moment of the ending by making you watch that and go, no, don't feel happy for him.
Starting point is 01:46:14 This is not sweet. This is a bad, he's selfish. That is selfish what he's doing. No one should ever be able to retire from service. They should stay, the course, never have a happy thing. You don't get to go back and see your person. I don't get to go home to your wife. So crazy.
Starting point is 01:46:30 Jacob. I can't believe that. Jacob Beach. Honestly, I'm just so happy they kind of recolored certain scenes. Also, so good to see Chadwick as the first one out of the portal at the end of five.
Starting point is 01:46:40 Oh, that's really cool. Yeah. Oh, our endgame reaction goes up on Sunday. That's so perfect. I know. Who would have thunk it? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:46:49 That was by chance. Oh, that one was? I always assumed you fucking... I got super fucking lucky with that. I really thought you planned that when you did your fucking master calculation. There's going to be a time where there's two movies a week. Yeah, starting this week, isn't it?
Starting point is 01:47:02 Yeah, but then we're going to have to do like two like MCU movies. Oh, yeah, because we got to make sure we're hitting like brand new day right before Doom's like it comes out. Yeah. And then we got Loki to do. So there's like, it's really mapped out. But I don't worry. We'll be back to pedal on the gas when I hit back.
Starting point is 01:47:17 Got super lucky that the weekend end game gets re-release. Oh, sweet. That's cool. I'm going to get off the plane. I'm going to be strapped to a chair to watch all the rest of Marvel. Yeah, I'll watch Vision Quest right when you're off that plane. Hope we get screeners. I want to see it before I leave.
Starting point is 01:47:30 I've been the loudest vision quest person I know. And now that I'm leaving, I'm like, fuck, I was counting on screeners. But you know, you leaving is selfish. It is. I should never see my wife. With your wife is selfish. I am Captain Content. And Captain Content doesn't get to dance in this, Peggy.
Starting point is 01:47:48 Captain Content stays in the chair. There are consequences to your selfishness. And this will be my doomsday. That's going to be our new shirt. Captain America is selfish. It'll sell because people are going to think. Because now people are anti-Captain America choice at the end of end game. Carlos Freight.
Starting point is 01:48:09 Was anyone watching any of Phase 4 and 5 going? A lot of this seems to be because of Steve Rogers. You know what? You know who fucked up? Steve Rogers. Encore isn't replacing the OG. It's us going back to the past, Carlos Freitas says. Like Hulk said, now that past is our new future.
Starting point is 01:48:29 What? Oh. What? I don't understand this comment. Carlos Freitas. Oh, yeah. No, that's from Infinity War. Like Hulk said, now that passes are in a future.
Starting point is 01:48:44 So it's, you can technically have endgame be canon because when the events of the phase four and five thing bleed into Encore, that's a new timeline. So that's the new. separate one. Okay. So the girls can watch whichever one because both are tanon. We'll have them watch both. And I'm not just going to show them the scenes. Back to back.
Starting point is 01:49:09 I'm going to have them watch both. Yeah. And it's entirety. Yeah. Sorry, girls. We're a different outfit too, so it's clear you watch six hours. Let's move on. Desi, I feel like Loki should have come in when we see Steve holding his kid.
Starting point is 01:49:29 Having him show upright after Endgame feels awesome. and undermine Steve's ending. I agree. Is that scene in a, is, I don't think about the trailer, though, that we got for Steve Rogers, the first Doomsday one. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:49:48 That might be wherever, because the main, the main theory is that he, they actually, Loki moves him from that timeline. Oh. The main theory is that he moves him. A lot of people are theorizing
Starting point is 01:50:01 that he's actually at the Fantastic Four universe, something along those lines. That way, because like, The way the theory has gone down at least, the rumor miller the fuck, I don't know, is that Steve, Dr. Doom would know about Steve because Steve is living at the Fantastic Four universe. And that's how Dr. Doom's able to put it together. And I think that's why they're putting so much emphasis on this being Steve's fault and knowing about Steve. Got it.
Starting point is 01:50:28 Making Steve the first thing we're thinking about front and center for the trailer, the first scene that they change here at Encore, etc., which would line up. that Loki's like you're fucking up here by being in this timeline you see Chris you see Steve Rogers hiding like I'm not here I'm not here but then doesn't that affect the whole thing where he's like an old man and he gives captain he gives Sam the shield yeah because my the implication is always that he just lived until that moment yeah he went back in time and then he became really old and then he gave would undermine that so does that ending not happen then for but no it's cabbo set but Sam Wilson's in doomsday also I assume we're going to see that scene when we watch encore well you're not watching it when i watch on
Starting point is 01:51:10 yeah that is confusing time tends to mess back yeah as long as i had that line and then nothing else everything's canon robert pursuer have a great weekend guys thank you all right um we're gonna disable the super chats in just a couple minutes you want to talk about dynamic duo oh yeah shit we have nothing yet let's talk about dynamic duo yes so over the weekend um there's there's one rumor report that came out that Chris Pine is being courted right now to voice Batman in the DC universe. And we have Koi here from the DC Studios podcast to confirm everything for us because he gets all the insights. Last time I talked to Chris Pine on the phone as an official representative DC studios, he said, and I quote, who are you?
Starting point is 01:52:02 stop bothering me get off my line it was actually his doorbell he's a very sweet man uh i don't know anything more than the rumors uh with chris pine like i can i'll pass the polygraph i have no further data except for um this article came out from a source i had never heard of do you like the idea of him okay so i can comment on my opinion yes so and then of course mason tames who coy Can I say he knows? I've been friends with Mason for a long time, and he loves Nightwing a lot. And Dick Grayson is a character he adores,
Starting point is 01:52:40 and I can say that were this to be completely true, it would be a completely great thing. I had a moment where I was bored, and I looked up a timeline because you had the question where you asked him about what comic character to play, and he talked about playing Robin. Yeah, someone actually just liked that post.
Starting point is 01:52:57 He had this clip. It was a really good interview clip that he had with him. And then soups asked him that question too. Of course not talking. He wasn't in the fucking room with you. And soups asking that question too. Mason's like actually yeah, someone just asked me that.
Starting point is 01:53:09 So you did actually, you technically asked him first. That's right. Yeah. I've known Mason Sue is 15 and I can absolutely vowed for a 15 year old Mason Thames telling me Robin is his favorite character next to Spider-Man. Spider-Man's his all-time favorite.
Starting point is 01:53:26 But like we were talking about Robin from, I've known Scott Derrickson and Maggie, his wife, I've known Maggie for like 15 years, but I've known Scott for seven or eight. And so I was involved with Blackphone one and Mason was a literal child. And it was funny talking to him about Robin. Then it was just like, I love this character and I was thinking about like, ironically I was thinking about Tom Holland. Like those clips of like a young kid being like, I'm going to be.
Starting point is 01:53:49 But like in my mind that Robin is a literal child because that's how I saw Mason at 15. And so now that you know, Mason's grown. it'd be such a different like minds eye character but he's still so that guy like he's so altruistic like I of any young actor especially at the amount of success
Starting point is 01:54:09 Mason has had in the last five or six years that I've known him it's made him more like humble and noble like some people get successful and they kind of get distant he like wants to help other actors like he wants to like lift people up he likes to talk to fans he's like very
Starting point is 01:54:25 engaged in community and I don't see that a lot with young actors. They usually get like, I'm on Nickelodeon. Like this kid's so good as a human and he reads comics. He loves comics. He's like in the shit. I did meet him one time and he was kind of an asshole, honestly. Yeah, you guys talked about hair and he's like, fuck your hair.
Starting point is 01:54:46 He was really undermining. Yeah. It didn't help what I was saying. I was really mean to him to. Yeah. It was weird. I was just standing there like shit. I thought we were adjusting.
Starting point is 01:54:55 Yeah, now then the throat punch. And I got kicked out. Yeah, awkward. But I'm really happy for him. He's going to reportedly be voicing Dick Grayson. And then we got a guy named Logan Kim, who would be playing Ghostbusters kid? Yes. Ah, that's why I looked familiar.
Starting point is 01:55:11 And he's going to be Jason Todd. Now, the big thing that's the question is that they've been saying that James Gunn said a long time ago is that with the voice actors, they'll also be live action. So now people are wondering if they'll be live action. I don't know what universe dynamic duo is going to be. This has been my most anticipated, like, long-term projects since before I worked at DC. They showed, I don't know, like a few seconds of this at CinemaCon years ago. And it looks insane. It literally is like, this could be DC Spiderverse because it's so inventive.
Starting point is 01:55:45 It's so different. It's blending puppetry, CGI, animation, like all this stuff. And from the beginning, I've been excited. Now, were a friend of mine to also get cast as Dick Grayson, I would be even more excited. Were I to have seen said friend two days ago and post a picture of him and I reading Nightwing Comics theoretically, would I be more excited? Absolutely. Could I possibly confirm any of that? Certainly not.
Starting point is 01:56:07 But it'd be great if it were true. I don't know what you're talking about. Yeah, Mason Tames. You think you'd be, so you actually believe. What qualities do you feel like Dick Rason would require that you feel like Mason Tames can actually bring? So Dick Rason, to me, is all of the things that Batman isn't able to work through. in his trauma and he gets to be like a less broken take right like night wing is his own hero and when he goes to blood haven there's like an amount of emotional stability that batman's not able to do so he to me
Starting point is 01:56:39 he's the robin that graduates like a lot of robins are stuck as robin night wing is like his own man but he's still a robin and to me mason is i've seen this kid grow up i've seen him go from robin to night wing like i can see him being a leader i see him being like a really exceptional selfless dude He's got incredible chops. Like he, the fact that he played hiccups so different from Jay Bargell and still felt like hiccup, like he's able to see what his, he's,
Starting point is 01:57:08 uh, he's self assess as well. Like he's able to know what levels of himself to play. Like the black phone is what got me back into horror. And, uh, that was largely his performance. Like he's so good at like tapping into emotion, being an exposed nerve,
Starting point is 01:57:20 but also being like very good at connecting the characters. Do you think he could pull off the physicality though? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He's like fit. And I, I view Dick Gray.
Starting point is 01:57:28 I mean, anyone could get like buff and shit, but like Dick Grayson's a little bit more. What's the word? Not nimble. What's the word's fucking word? He's acrobatic. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:57:38 he's acrobatic. So he's like more flexible. He does so much of his own stuff and I train your dragon, which is a very physical character. Okay. If, if we were to hang out two days ago,
Starting point is 01:57:47 I would have told him that he needed to start doing squats excessively. Do you, I don't associate him with longer hair though, Dick Grayson most of the time. Dick Grayson's usually got kind of swoopy hair. Yeah, but you know, he's got kind of that like, Mason usually has like that longer,
Starting point is 01:58:01 like a little more mess. The way he looks in the fucking photo, he's usually what it looks like. You think he could pull off a Dick Grayson mortared it. The photo, the Rodman right below him right there. But there's like a, like Nightwing's modern look is pretty like,
Starting point is 01:58:13 longer hair, yeah. Like he's got a thing. I don't know if that's what they, but it's also we're starting out in animation. I don't know if his hair matters. Well, I know, but I feel like he would be the live action. I'd hope he'd be the live action.
Starting point is 01:58:24 And I guess he's, it's an interesting choice, though if he is because Mason normally has a bit more of a as I associate Dick Grayson is a little bit cooler like the guy who's like the cool swagger Mason is cool but he plays a lot more
Starting point is 01:58:39 of like the nerd he plays hiccup he plays the nerdy guys like even in black phone he's the guy getting bullied he's a vibe he is really cool yeah this doesn't usually get cast at it I think the roles that we've seen I haven't seen idiots yet but I think the roles that we usually see him and don't usually scream Dick Grayson And that's kind of the point of acting, right?
Starting point is 01:58:59 So we can see it. So my point with that is I feel like it would be cool for him to like show off a very different side. Were he to be cast? I'm sure that his audition that he would have perhaps done would have been. He practically confirmed it. I might have been next to the photo he took of the comic books. I think you might be able to see a shoe of mine in that image. I don't know what you're talking about theoretically.
Starting point is 01:59:19 I'm just saying. He practically confirmed the damping. Perhaps I would like that confirmed with him on this show one day. So I don't want to confirm anything. If Chris Pine is Batman. though. Do you like that? Yeah. You do like that?
Starting point is 01:59:29 I didn't think I would have, but then I remembered how fucking amazing his Spider-Man was and into the Spider-Bers. In like five lines, I was like, holy shit. This is like... Live action, though.
Starting point is 01:59:38 Yeah, he's fucking got the... You feel like he'd be a good live-action... If he bought that... I don't know. I feel about him being Batman. He's got a really cool... He's got a cool voice. He's got the Bruce Wayne side down.
Starting point is 01:59:49 That motherfucker is effortlessly billionaire energy bravado. Like, that guy just... Have you met Chris? No. He's the... fucking coolest. Like he literally during the pandemic was growing wine and like out of his backyard and just like became this crazy like kooky everyone's favorite aunt, but like was bottling wine.
Starting point is 02:00:06 And then as soon as he shaved, he was like, by the way, I'm still Bruce. Like he's got that thing where he can be crazy, which you need. But also like, Devonair, suave, cool as shit. I don't know about his physicality. I don't know if he'd want to do that shit. But like, think about him in a fucking Wonder Woman. He's the coolest guy ever. And like effortlessly.
Starting point is 02:00:22 That's how Bruce Wayne needs to come across. But he's also weird as shit. And like, I can see a. darkness in him like there's something underneath the surface look at um smoking aces like he's got a fucking range to him i well i feel like just getting someone who is so his performance would have to be especially i'm more i'm more wondering i like the bruce wayne is the easy sell i still want jane that's the easy one to sell me on when it was christ pine like of course yeah yeah that's what i was thinking it's more it's more the batman like what does it fucking batman be well you like
Starting point is 02:00:52 patinson's gonna play the detective that's dark brooding and grounded yeah you need someone that seems like a golden age hero. Look at that motherfucker. Like, if you think about, like, the dichotomy, if you're going to be having one play in the Matt Reeves universe, you need the other one to stand next to the Justice League and be like the fucking,
Starting point is 02:01:06 probably a blue cape, gray suit. Like, it's gonna feel different. That dude's golden age of shit. Like, he's got more of the bravado. He's got a little bit more of like, he'd play it. I'm not saying this all the way.
Starting point is 02:01:15 Don't misquote. But like, it would be more in the direction of the Adam West take, I imagine. Not that fucking far. If that's a 10, I want like a six. But if Pattinson's playing like a one, because he's playing it so serious and grounded. You needed to be elevated enough
Starting point is 02:01:29 that crypto can exist in the universe. You need someone that's got that like, machismo, the chin, the fucking thing. So I see it, it wouldn't have been, I wouldn't have thought of it. This wouldn't have been in my like top five. I wouldn't have,
Starting point is 02:01:39 but once the rumor came out, my brain went, okay, what would that look like? And it kind of puzzle piece together. Like, I can see it. I don't know, you're selling me on it.
Starting point is 02:01:49 You're selling me on it. Like, I don't know, like he's been very franchise avoidance in Star Trek. Like, he's clearly, not doing five movies a year. Like he's not been in the public eye to scale.
Starting point is 02:02:00 So I don't know if he'd want to commit to the lifestyle of being Batman. But I've always seen Batman as like an A-lister. Like you cast a name for Batman. It's not like a lot of the other superheroes. Like I see Batman as like identifiable. So I would love that. But I also, he, I still like Jake Gyllenaw. I still like a lot of other choices.
Starting point is 02:02:19 I don't know if this is true. When the name came up, I was like, I see it. It's different. Do you think they'll go back to a bit more. of a Kevin Conroy approach or Michael Keaton in the sense that now it seems like when people play Batman, everyone feels like they got to do a voice. It's like Christian Bail, Ben Affleck, and even Robert Pattinson to an extent. Everyone's got to do some brooding voice when they're Batman now. Yeah, I think Pattinson's the most normalized of the recent era. Yeah, you can see the
Starting point is 02:02:48 marriage of it. But do you feel like Chris Pine could? I don't think you would just be like, Hey, I'm Batman. I feel like he's he's like I love him as Kirk. I like that's the thing. I've loved Chris Pine in almost every role I've seen him. He's I loved him as in everything. Great Steve Trevor. Horrible bosses too.
Starting point is 02:03:07 He's hilarious. I like his vibe, man. Again, wouldn't have been my first thought, but I'm not, I see it now that it's been brought up. Interesting. And this Logan Kim dude, I only know from Ghostbusters and I thought he was so I thought he was a highlight. Rumor is he was supposed to be Amadeus Cho. in Marvel.
Starting point is 02:03:24 Yeah. So I love the idea of him getting the chance be a hero. And I, you know, he's got like a spunkiness to him that I think of. Yeah. I think I've really sold myself on the, okay, I see what I did. I sold myself so early on, especially of all rumors of Alan Richardson or even you championing Jake Gyllenhaal of having two very different physical builds of Batman. Like Robert Pattinson is so obviously like he's fucking skinny, you know, he's not
Starting point is 02:03:50 buff. He's, you know, he looks buffer in the suit. but clearly he's not like a super buff guy. So I consist. I had so myself, but it would be cool to get like a different bad man. One that feels more comic as accurate, where you got like a dude who's like super like Ben Affleck built or something like that.
Starting point is 02:04:07 And like I never see Chris Pine is that. That's what I mean like physicality. I don't know what they do. Like I thought this guy, I thought that you get like the Royded out fucking Batman. I wouldn't want like Alan Richardson as much as I love an absolute badman. Because it'd be like that's Bruce Wayne's Batman. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:04:21 There is a too big where you're like. Perhaps the billionaire that's seven foot five. But like, you know, I picture a bigger dude than how I picture Chris Pine. Sure. Yeah, exactly. That's the one thing. I think that was like, actually, the only thing interfering was the physical build of the guy. Are him. True.
Starting point is 02:04:40 So yeah, I'd love to see it if he booked up and if he wanted to. That's my big thing. It's like I want someone that wants to. That's a big mantle. That's true. That's true. All right, man. Well, what do you guys think if Chris Pine is Batman?
Starting point is 02:04:51 Do you agree with this choice? do you like Mason Tames as Dick Grayson? I like it. I want to talk to him. I need to apologize for how I treated him last time I saw. The violence between these two, it was frankly frightening. He's actually really sweet. He's the best.
Starting point is 02:05:11 There is, there is, in this, in this, in this life of L.A., I'm guilty of it. I have so, I have, I have, I have, like, 200 unread text messages right now. I suck at getting back. And a lot of them I open. I haven't replied to. Yeah. Then I forget. And yeah,
Starting point is 02:05:27 I have a hard time tracking all the messages. And then you got the social media messages as well and stuff. And I can only imagine someone like Mason Tames, who's actually like pretty famous, like what that must be like. But when we met him, he talked about wanting to come on for the How to Treat Your Dragon. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:05:41 Trailer reaction because he knew real rejects. Like we got it on camera where he just saw it. He saw us and passed. He's like, hey, I love you guys. And I was like, oh shit, we got that on camera. He's just like happened to see us. And when we talked to me, he talked about wanting to come on. And he's like really serious about it.
Starting point is 02:05:55 But then he couldn't because he wasn't in the fucking country. And then he messaged me. And he's like, sorry. And he actually said something to me. And I was like, oh, damn, fucking like, I thought this guy would even care to follow up. Yeah, it was really sweet. That's what I'm saying. Like he's as altruistic as I want Dick Grayson to be.
Starting point is 02:06:14 I didn't ever really believe he would even consider like, I really sold myself in that moment. He's being nice. because that's what fucking people do out here. They say nice things. It's an LA problem. People say like they're going to do something and did it. I understand. Like people be nice.
Starting point is 02:06:30 It's a very opposite of like East Coast behavior. And so I just assumed him is that. He's being cool. But then the fact that he followed up like, oh, he fucking handed him in his mind. That's what I think about Dick Grayson's altruism. Like that's the difference with him in Batman is he's like as bit as capable, but he's such a kind, thoughtful person.
Starting point is 02:06:45 And like that Mason reads that and everything he does. Yeah. Like he's just such a good dude. So that's what I see as Dick Grayson, and that's what I see as if he has cast his take. And that's why I'm so excited because it's like, I want that kind of earnestness to radiate. And that's Mason. And I know that usually translates to nerdy. I think that's why he gets cast.
Starting point is 02:07:03 I think a lot of people perceive earnestness as nerdiness. But I would love if we kind of gave a jock take on that. Like let him be altruistically kind and a badass. I don't mean the nerdy thing as a as a thing to disregard his capability because Dick Grayson kind of has the Dick Grayson has like a front facing coolness But then you realize He's actually pretty nerdy Yeah you know
Starting point is 02:07:29 Whereas Mason I feel like has the different cell With audiences on this Yeah if he is him to like he's usually kind of like nerdy But now he has to sell people he can be the really cool guy He um I thought he did a good job Playing a very different character in that uh that monster summer movie Or he was like the baseball jock yeah And I was like oh this is like another you know version of mason
Starting point is 02:07:48 Yeah Um, so I don't know. I, I love that we're talking about this is 2028. Like I love that we're looking deep into the DC and having these conversations until things are like fully confirmed and stuff. We're just going to just watch him get awkwardly super buff over the next year and a half. You're like, wait a second. And like he's got to be doing this for a reason. Yeah. But yeah.
Starting point is 02:08:09 And his girlfriend's the coolest shit too. Like McKenna's the best. If theoretically I saw him two days ago and the four of us hung out, it was like a very cool, uh, read on like where the town is. I always get a little worried about the next generation of actors. And like, if that's the next wave, like, we're in a better spot than maybe our wave was. Because they're, like, still grounded and good people. You heard you hear from Koi first. If you're a grown-ass adult, become friends with 15-year-olds.
Starting point is 02:08:35 Prime time's great. I enjoyed that movie. You see how this looks, right? All right, we're going to close up the super chats and then wrap them up. Thank you guys to everyone who has contributed. That's how we got a stream lab too. So thank you guys so much for everyone who has been. here. I hope the chat's been kind. Kind of nervous to look at it. Whenever we're this vehemently
Starting point is 02:08:57 opinionated sometimes. Yeah, dude. A little worry that's going to trigger me. People watch our opinion-based show and get mad at our opinions. See, just saw one right here. I love you guys, but not going to lie, too much cynicism and sarcasm and the analysis of the scenes, even nitpicky. That's the only one I saw. Yep. See it? It's like they pop out. Yeah. Yeah. And I wasn't honest enough because clearly I only want Chris Pine and Batman. If we're so, Just a gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble. Whatever the people say, we just reiterated. Gobble, gobble, gobble.
Starting point is 02:09:30 Just spewed. You know what I had a great conversation with at a forgotten island? John Campia. Oh, really? Me and him talk for like half an hour. We had a really good talk about like content and YouTube and like tolerating the insanity and stuff. And it was the longest talk I think we've ever had.
Starting point is 02:09:43 Yeah. It was a fascinating thing of like he survived so much more of this bullshit. Yeah. And like seeing all that. But it was a fascinating moment of like, huh. It felt like an elder statesman moment of like the beginning of the YouTube. Yeah. fascinating. I enjoyed that.
Starting point is 02:09:56 Nah, people want, I think a lot of people on the internet want echo chambers, you know? Well, I think people want to, I think what it is. They want you to be authentic, but it has to be part of their echo chamber. I think it's literally biochemical. I think that we are engineered to seek acceptance. So if you hear something that isn't what you think, then suddenly you feel othered and then you're mad at the person that made you feel othered, or you're like, they are other than I am. So fuck them. I think it's literally,
Starting point is 02:10:21 we're not meant to know this many people's opinions. We're not meant to be exposed to this many people. So it's this biochemical reaction to like, I am not of this tribe. Fuck that tribe. Fuck you for saying the thing I don't agree with. But we're putting ourselves in this position because theoretically people want our opinions, which is why there are our viewers right now. But the outliers are what you notice because likewise, we are going like, oh, am I saying
Starting point is 02:10:43 a thing that would oust me from the tribe and my safety and my comfort? So I think it's just we're exposed to too much. It's not natural. But it's what your comfort zone of that anxiety is. is it worth the little push of being your own person? Or do you just fucking suck the emotional cock of society? I like criticism. I don't.
Starting point is 02:11:05 Actually, I do when it's constructive. I like when it helps. No, no, you misunderstand me. I like hearing criticism, not about me or something like that.
Starting point is 02:11:13 Oh. I'm talking like, I like a super opinion. There are people extremely more nitvicky than like us, you know, on the internet. Like, I love like,
Starting point is 02:11:23 I just clicked on a red letter media video and they didn't want to review Resident Evil they didn't really care for it. I was like, oh well, that's a bummer. I wish they would at least talk about it. But then like there's Cosmonaut Variety Hour and High Top Film. Like I love a fucking Griffin from film speak.
Starting point is 02:11:40 I really like to me. I love criticism. I love hearing it. I'm a big fan of it. And I don't ever disregard like you're being a nitpicky asshole. You know, I've always been really impressed with that with you and your YouTube acumen.
Starting point is 02:11:51 Like I find that you, I think, I think you started YouTube well before a lot of people and you also like carved out a thing so early. I think you became open minded in that journey in a way that's rare in the current internet. Like you actually value other people's opinions in a way that is open minded to a level that isn't common, but also specifically in the space you're in. And usually when it's the space you're in, I find that's when people get the most closed off. Yeah, absolutely. Like I'm open minded about like restaurants, but like I'm not fucking opening ones.
Starting point is 02:12:22 But you're in a media space and you still want to consume other media. Whereas like I legitimately have no fucking interest in anyone else's opinion. Like when someone tells me what they think of a movie, I tend to tune out really quickly in person, much less seeking it out online. And it's really interesting because like you and I are super similar. But that's one of those things that's so far out. Like I don't understand the idea of typing in review. Like it doesn't even make sense to me. Like it'd be like, why would I learn Latin?
Starting point is 02:12:48 It's a dead language. But like the fact that you're able to receive other people. people's thoughts and it doesn't affect your own and you want that data is so fascinating. Like it's a really cool thing that you've been able to maintain. Well, I'm also open mind and too if it does affect my own opinion. Like I'm okay with that too if like it happens to where I'm like, oh, actually I didn't think I've listened to so many different opinions that sometimes it will be like, you know what?
Starting point is 02:13:13 Now I do see it. I do actually see it that way now. But most of the time, yeah, I have my own fucking opinion. I like a hard line. Like I really don't like to have anyone. And I like knowing what I think And I know that's closed-minded at times But I really like being like this is what I thought
Starting point is 02:13:27 Especially if it's of art Like I hate music commentary and movie commentary Because then I feel like it's Maybe it's that survival thing Where I'm like I don't want fucking Am I other ring? Maybe that's why you do get bothered Bohemianly when people do criticize you
Starting point is 02:13:40 Yeah yeah because I don't want it Yeah You stay over there Yeah I welcome difference of it I like when we have it I like when we're watching Spider-Bat 3 I'm like, this guy's having a totally different vibe.
Starting point is 02:13:53 There's going to be like screenshots from that reaction that are two different movies that are fascinating. I love it. I think it's, I think it makes life more. If we want betterment of humanity out there, we have to be willing to listen to. Like, there's an extreme, there's an extremity to what I'm saying right now, obviously. I'm not saying like, I should engage with terrorists that or something like that. You know, there's, I'm saying that having a, having conversations with people who have different points of abuse is the only way we can really learn and accept people.
Starting point is 02:14:25 See, I like that would not art. And I think that's what I mean by like, it's rare when it's in your space. When it's not about art, I'm so interested in people's life experience and like sometimes politics, but like mainly about like what their philosophy or their belief system is and like those elements, I'm fascinated. But when it's about art, I feel like it, since I'm giving my take, it sullies that. It clouds it. So it's interesting that you're able to keep all that.
Starting point is 02:14:50 It's not easy. I mean, forming my own identity has always been a bit of a challenge. But like there's a time where if I read that, like my, I get, I don't like the feeling. It makes me feel when someone says that about us or me. I don't like that feeling. It feels awful. Fucking feels sucks. I don't, I'm not like impervious to feeling stuff, you know, obviously.
Starting point is 02:15:10 It does. It can, it can't bother me. But there was a time where I'm like, oh, I do need to change me and who I am now. I need to not be this person now. Now I'm like, that's the way I fucking. I enjoy that conversation. I enjoy, I enjoy fucking picking it apart. I enjoy talking about it that way. Like I have the bottom line is I'm having fun talking about it. I'm not like here being negative because I think being negative is me like I'm actually upset and I'm going to be in a bad mood now.
Starting point is 02:15:41 Yeah. And my my my day is kind of like ruined. This moment's ruined. I think us getting like criticism or nitpicky about shit with like a post credit scene change. Yeah. That's a fun. I think it's fun for us to talk about. We're having fun.
Starting point is 02:15:59 We're not, we're not being fucking like fucking assholes in our day. It's also so interesting as everyone's like, you know, I like everything. Koi loves everything. But like as soon as there's any sort of like,
Starting point is 02:16:08 I don't love this doom thing. So like it's so weird that there's no acceptance of I can't possibly like everything and also be too critical. Like it's such an interesting thing. But you don't. only see the people that are like yeah the same person that's saying i like everything and i'm too critical yeah but each person probably authentically perceives me that way like i'm too like we're too critical isn't the same person typing they love everything but both people would probably pass a
Starting point is 02:16:31 polygraph that they thought that of us well dude like all the reactions that we've been doing over the years it's it's so silly like whenever i feel like i'm having the the best time with a movie yeah like when we're bringing about spider man too in a couple weeks like we talk so much and we crack a lot of jokes. And I'm like, I had the best time watching this. I had the best time. I know there's going to be a good amount of people. Like we did Taken. We did the Transformers movie. We talked a lot and made a lot of jokes. I had the best time. And I know there's people in there who are like, you guys need to shut up. You don't talk. You're taking this seriously enough. You don't talk. And I'm like, if you don't like the way, like this is the way I feel best when I'm doing this. I feel best right now.
Starting point is 02:17:12 And if you don't like me when I'm feeling at my best, then you can fuck off. Like I'm feeling at my best right now. Go away. Like, don't ruin. You're the one ruining my, my feeling. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:17:25 Yeah. That's why the commentary is I think are so much stronger than even like first time reactions for me is like I, I'm so like, did I talk over a line? Am I missing? Commentaries we can actually like have an engaged conversation together. And I think that's so much more interesting. Absolutely. So to that point, like yeah, I, um, at the same time, though, I have been in many, many times. Like it happened with Agatha, like where I was.
Starting point is 02:17:47 We watched Agatha and I did have a feeling like, we're kind of taking the piss out of this too much. We should dial this back. So sometimes I do. That doesn't mean, though, I'm not, it's not black and white thinking. Sometimes you do have to listen to your, if enough people in droves are saying something,
Starting point is 02:18:02 you're like, maybe they do have a point. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And you have to be willing to otherwise, you're just going to completely a, and out of ego, you know, is you got to be mindful of like, is this my ego who doesn't want to take this in?
Starting point is 02:18:14 Or is it like, no, I'm holding my integrity, right? now. Like, they're very different. And it takes emotional intelligence to, to know the best of both. Anywho, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Let's see who yelled at us next. Jerry Lee, can we read this streamline? Can you pull that up to? Do you know what that is? I wonder how Spider-Man would react to seeing Iron Man is Dr. Doom. Even though everyone doesn't remember Spider-Man except for Banner, happy late birthday for both of you.
Starting point is 02:18:43 Much love from the family. Thanks, brother. I wonder a Spider-Man to see an Iron Man as Dr. Doom. Which one? Oh, oh, Tom. I was sorry. I thought of Toby for some reason. No, Tom Hollins,
Starting point is 02:18:58 seeing him as Dr. Doom. That's why I think they did it, man. They got to have that devastation. I wonder, one of you just got to be a part of the back of your head that's like they're going to, they're going to show his face.
Starting point is 02:19:10 They're going to do it. There's got to be a part of you. I think they're going to. I just think it's going to be. Don't. Yeah. Like, I think I'm gonna... See, this is what I mean?
Starting point is 02:19:20 It's such a difference of opinion. I'm like, I want that. I'm gonna be in the theater, and I'll probably have a similar experience I had with Beast in the Marbles, where I'm like, I waited a long time, and now I'm pretty crushed. And I get the people like this. People are going to talk about it,
Starting point is 02:19:39 and I will stand on my fucking not great. Yeah. I think it's going to undermine a lot of shit. I think it's going to, I am very prepared for Doomsday to either get me back into like, fuck yeah, I love event movies. This is exciting.
Starting point is 02:19:54 I'm also ready for it to undermine my love of phase one through three. Like I'm mentally preparing for December to either get me full bore excited for Secret Wars and like fucking consuming every bit of Marvel content. Like I read every Marvel thing already. Like I'll be like looking at every trailer like we used to like feeling that big Marvel phase one like that. The way it used to feel, I think Doomsday could put me there. but it also could put me in a place where it's like
Starting point is 02:20:18 okay they did a really beautiful swing with Eternals and everyone shit on it and I was just like I'm clearly not part of this fandom anymore or like Agatha that I did not connect with and people like turned on me personally and I was like right fuck you guys like I'm ready for Doomsday to either completely alienate me or to completely invest me and I think it's all gonna depend on how they handle something like that
Starting point is 02:20:36 like I'm I'm okay being the odd man out but I also will not suddenly be like that was a great choice so like I'm fucking I'm ready for the simple jacks and the intellectuals hell yeah brother Christian unpronounceable
Starting point is 02:20:52 please like the stream folks thank you tris what's up coy I commented on your post about Dave Franco as the beyonder can you talk a little more
Starting point is 02:21:00 on your opinion of my fancast oh I love that um oh I like that a lot Dave Franco is so charismatic he's so funny
Starting point is 02:21:12 he's got like a really good voice for it. He's got a presentationalness that I think would really work. I did not see this. I apologize, Tris. I love that immediately. I can see him in a fun white track suit situation. Yeah, fucking in. I think that's pretty perfect. I always saw
Starting point is 02:21:29 him a little older, but I also Dave Franco just looks young. He is like 42. So I think that actually works. I co-signed. And it would be kind of meta because he like, you know, his brother is so associated with apparently someone that's going to be dying
Starting point is 02:21:45 in this movie is the rumor. So it'd be kind of fun if there was a little like, that's what I heard. Fun. Yeah. All right. I'm into that. I love day Frankos of Beyonder. Right. Like, that's the thing. Toby, Toby's supposed to be in Dunezazen. Yeah. I believe so. Yeah, that's a thing. We've been talking about it for like a year and a half. Yeah. Like, I feel like that. Once a rumor is loud enough.
Starting point is 02:22:02 I'm like, well, I guess someone knew something and they said it was a rumor. Yeah. Jedi Josh. First time leaving a super chat. Coy. Have you read DC Dark Nights Metal and its sequel? have you? Yes. If so, your favorite issue?
Starting point is 02:22:17 Also, do you think we get a Storm or Gene Gray in Doomsday? I think we'll get some X-Men. I think Gene Gray, yeah. Yeah, I think some X-Men, though, because they cast them publicly before. I feel like that was so they could build up hype for the, obviously, the 2028, but also for these. I think we'll get some X-Men. I also think that'll be like, hopefully, they got to give the X-Men we've had forever their time, but they also need to introduce. It's going to be a very big.
Starting point is 02:22:40 I don't know how. I forgot who they were interviewed. Someone was being interviewed. and they did say Famkee Jansen is in it. Like, oh really? It's Heather Rob Lefeld or one of those big comic book writers. Oh,
Starting point is 02:22:51 I remember this. Claremont. Claremont. Claremont. I was like, everyone's in it. And I was like, I think he specifically cited Fapke.
Starting point is 02:22:58 That's interesting. I mean, he might know. He might know. He might know. Like if there's anyone who gets like random inside information inside baseball information. It's the guy that really remade the X-Men.
Starting point is 02:23:08 The guy. Yeah. I would say, uh, dark nights metal. Um, I liked it. But it's not like I like Tom Taylor's other work more than Dark Nights, the medieval stuff.
Starting point is 02:23:20 And I like Scott Snyder's board. You know, Ed Harris, a delight. I fucking, what did we, we watch something he was in recently. And I like lost my mind. No, we didn't. Ed Harris? Ed Harris is nothing we've seen recently. We've seen nothing but Marvel movies.
Starting point is 02:23:33 Yeah, we've watched Marvel movies for like six months. What the fuck am I thinking of? That and love hypothesis is what I've seen. I haven't seen anything else. I must have just seen something. I guess. I watch movies so much here. I assume any time I'm watching a movie, it's here.
Starting point is 02:23:46 So maybe I just watched it Ed Harris movie. I fucking love Ed Harris. PLD, I love your love of Ed Harris. Have you seen a history of violence? Love that movie. It is. I read that graphic, though. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:23:56 It was the first, that's always the first movie I think over that Harris or something. He's so good in that. That's great. That's such a deep cut for Ed Harris. Why is he so good at killing people? I think of Apollo 13, I think. That is great.
Starting point is 02:24:09 Oh, oh, the rock. Oh, he's so good in the rock. Yeah. I mean, I watched the abyss on this channel And I was like fucking Ed Harris Still have never seen it So good I think it's my favorite James Cameron Yeah, you've said that every time it's brought up
Starting point is 02:24:20 It's crazy because I love to do Every time it's brought up, it's always I think it's my favorite I think it feels so crazy to commit to After a couple years I think it is your favorite But it's so hard to commit because it's James Cameron It's like I don't know
Starting point is 02:24:32 Like it's so crazy to think of something above T water T2 But I think it is Nothing will ever top T2 It's so good It's always the abyss Yeah I don't know if you could love something for as long as you've loved T2 and then like anything as much from the same director.
Starting point is 02:24:48 Like that's like if Fincher put out a movie that I thought was better than Fight Club, I think I would for the rest of my life be like, I don't know though. Do you know what I mean? Like it's so associated with years of memory and attachment. I'll say Martin Scorset. I mean, uh, good fellows. God, I was as a, as a, as a, not even a teenager yet. I was obsessed with good fellas.
Starting point is 02:25:07 I was fucking obsessed. Departed. Definitely dethrowed it. my favorite comfy and i everybody's like oh not a popular video no i'm on the same page but departed like every time that movie's on i'm just like no matter what scene i'm just fucking in it yeah grit it top to bottom i like i that's one of the movies i can't turn off like if it's on and it's an hour till it's over i watch it if it just started i have to cancel not even from boston i fucking love that shit but when you went to boston you understood yeah more so fucking great malick
Starting point is 02:25:33 if andrew was the one that transitioned into the mc u they could have done a reveal using Nicholas Fury of his parents being shield agents, taking inspo from Peter and Fury's relationship in the OG Ultimate Universe. Oh, I get what you're saying. Yeah, that might have been cool, I suppose. I like that fan idea. I mean, Corey and I have been talking. You know what idea excited?
Starting point is 02:26:01 Roy and I was we got really into, we were talking about what directors could bring a new element to Spider-Man where you can really capture the stress and anxiety of trying to balance both. Because that was the thing with an amazing Spider-Man too that dawned on me at a certain point, that if the movie was about the struggle to balance how chaotic everything is, if that was like a thing that was wearing on him throughout as a movie just going, going, going, then I'm like, this whole fucking jumbled mess up a movie would have just made a lot more sense then because the whole idea is that it's supposed to be messy and he can't keep up with everything.
Starting point is 02:26:37 And then we were talking about who would be it. and coi's like the safti brothers i was like oh my god saffeyers would make like a fucking awesome spider-man movie we pitched a whole andrew garfield saffty brothers journey craving the last hunt like i like i fucking love that idea dude i think it'd be amazing it's just an anxiety and do like that would really capture the stress of trying to balance both and trying to be peter parker while fucking happy like craving the hundred and contend we ever read back in black let me see the cover it's uh kingpin um black suit it's got some really iconic moments Unless you should cover.
Starting point is 02:27:16 God, I think I have. It's one of the big ones in the last 20 years. I feel like I have. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 02:27:24 Yes. I was a different. I didn't recognize that. That from the saftees be insane. Back in black, Safty brothers, Andrew Garfield. Fuck yes.
Starting point is 02:27:33 If I had a billion dollars, this is what I would do with it. Wait a minute. I just read this last year. I probably recommended it to you. This might have been one where I told you. I was like, I know, I definitely wrote this. Imagine that in the Safeties.
Starting point is 02:27:47 That'd be insane. That's what I want. Oh, yeah. Yeah. That'd be cool. I sometimes just, I reached out that a while ago. I sometimes just think about that. I'd that.
Starting point is 02:28:01 Like the good times and uncut gems version of fucking like Peter Parker trying to like to handle this shit. Frazzled with powers running around New York, all these villains and shit. And you know they were, and I'm like, who would create also a new level of action? I'm like,
Starting point is 02:28:15 would do something so wild and invented. And their spider sense would be fucking Oh my God. They would do the best man spider movie too. Oh, it would be insane. If Sony would ever Greenland a hundred billion dollar manned. Raven and Man Spider, they would do the best version. I want this so bad. We just need to become billionaires with enough money to throw fuck you money at the Safi Bros. Yeah. Or some director who's like, I want to make a Safi Brothers movie. And then they produce it like you said.
Starting point is 02:28:39 Yeah. Yeah. That's all you need. We got goals. Amy Pascal. We've got your spider problem. Yisukee. I believe Doomsday is recontextualizing Steve ending to ask the question. You know what? We're not nitpicking. Everyone's fucking blaming Steve Rogers now. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:28:56 Heroes are unilateral, radical means to actualize their desires, irrespective of potential harm if they deserve it. Whoa. You talk in a fascinating manner, my friend. I'm going to read that one more time. I believe Doomsday is recontextualizing Steve ending to ask the question. Are heroes use unilateral, radical means to actualize their desires, irrespective of potential harm if they deserve it. I feel like I'm talking to the fucking architect from The Matrix. Do you want to translate?
Starting point is 02:29:30 Yes, English, please. So he's saying he is positing that all heroes that we've met so far are so radically in their own ways that if it causes more harm than the good they did temporarily, are they even heroes? So the way you feel about Scrooge, you don't feel that about a Doomsday movie? Because it seems like they're going to be pointing out a lot of reasons to side with Dr. Dooms. I mean, if they execute it well, it's the execution I didn't connect with that. I like the reason. Seems like he's going to be billionaire runner of Latvier. I mean, I do love billionaires.
Starting point is 02:30:01 I do love billionaire Victor Bondo. I love when people have money and others don't and there's no sort of sense of wrong. There is a wealth inequality. No, yeah, I think that is what they're doing is, you know, if the, heroic deeds that these characters did cause more harm outside of their own little bubbles is that really a hero is what he's positing and I think that will be a conversation with the stolen time element and like what ripples it caused god if we're ever gonna get that cool origin story of victor von do are we probably not he's hammering though it sounds like that's something meeting read gain the
Starting point is 02:30:37 fucked up face no bro hammers the love of his life that he rejected he built that cave with scraps. He built that in a cave with the way he took back Latvaria. There's so many cool parts of the story. No, he's not one of the most important characters in Marvel Comics. He's a guy that you can make a new Iron Man. God, it's fucking mom.
Starting point is 02:30:56 Yep. Growing up with, oh, so much. Erroneous. Doesn't matter. Erroneous. Erroneous at all counts.
Starting point is 02:31:07 Chris. Guys, would you consider a reaction to Kevin Klein's Dave when you have time too. It's a refreshingly optimistic political film where an ordinary man becomes president and does a great job at it. Oh, I don't know. I fucks with Dave. Have you seen it? I fucking love Dave. That is such a great like have-on just sit. It's such a Saturday movie. Just such a vibe. Kevin Klein is so charming in it. It is very like not quite sork in optimism, but pretty optimism, uh, in the in the political spectrum. I love that movie. It's great. I haven't seen it since I was probably like 20, but it's a good time. Good time.
Starting point is 02:31:42 the movie, I think it's called In and Out. Kevin Klein. I think that was the first time I saw like a gay kiss in a movie theater. That was a really, really life-changing moment for me. Oh. I saw Birdcage in theaters and I think that was like, so I remember thinking Robin Williams dressed like so well
Starting point is 02:32:03 and then realizing like it was a very flamboyant outfit and being like, would that be misleading or do I need to look into myself? Like I had that kind of like introspection of like, Huh. But I think that kiss was more like, I don't know if, I don't know if it took me back as much as I, I realized that I hadn't seen another man, man kiss.
Starting point is 02:32:22 Like, I don't know if I was alarmed by the kiss or the lack of finding it weird. Do you know what I mean? Like, when you realize you haven't seen something your whole life, and you're like, wait a second, why haven't I? And I remember, I remember having that thought at some point in birdcage. Like, why is this new?
Starting point is 02:32:38 Oh, there's a lot of gay guys don't kiss publicly in a lot of places. Yeah. I think that I guess I was more excited. Like theater kids in Boston be kissing. I don't know. In and out. Isaac,
Starting point is 02:32:50 in my defense, I've always felt, Steve, I think you were still being here. I mean, felt Steve was, okay, that is a great defense.
Starting point is 02:33:01 Steve did was selfish. Tony told him meddling with time had consequences, and he knew that taking the stones back. Were you, like, upset with him? The thing is, you sounded upset. And my sounded, that means I read,
Starting point is 02:33:12 your message and I applied a volume and tone to something that I did not actually hear. I just may be projected. Tony told them meddling with time had constant. That's true. I feel like they didn't have like a debate about it. Like Tony had one line, right? The toni, the meddling with time has consequences.
Starting point is 02:33:36 I'm like, yeah, of course. Why wouldn't? Obviously. But they didn't like really discuss what that could be. but this was never the plan. He was supposed to say bye.
Starting point is 02:33:45 Steve, he, Chris Evans for years planned on never coming back. Mm-hmm. You know? What are you going to do? What are you going to do? I'm excited for it. Blended time.
Starting point is 02:33:54 Revisionous history done by the creators is crazy. And if everyone's going to revision a history, it's going to be the creators. I mean, I'm curious how I feel. I'm watching it in a few hours, but I definitely am, I'm so attached to the arcs of the big three.
Starting point is 02:34:10 Like, I'm so attached to that cap, Thor. Tony arc. I don't know how I'm going to feel if they just go like, not done yet, scene. Like, that's a weird thing to do.
Starting point is 02:34:20 Let me know how you feel afterwards. I will. I will. Sequence breaker. I hate the Loki scene, Steve's scene, a little less simply because it addresses the scene of past Loki grabbing the Tessoract
Starting point is 02:34:30 because that was an unfalled story beat in scenes if you only watch the movies. That is a really good point. And I forgot to bring that up because that was something I did have as like, well, one cool positive is that if you watch, like you watch Endgame
Starting point is 02:34:42 and then he takes the test. racked. It's a good tease of like, whoa, what happened? That's what does the Loki guy do? Yeah, there's another side. So it does have that cliffhead. But I feel like an ending should end and not be a cliff, not be a cliff hangar for in that capacity. That's why we specifically referenced far from home as the movie that had like an ending. And then there was a post credit scene that was like literally no way home picks up seconds later after that post credit scene. Yeah. We're not even seconds later. It's it cuts into the post credit scene. Yeah. Now like if we use the timeline explanation on local
Starting point is 02:35:14 Steve caused a branch timeline. The TVA allowed it. I believe Doom is also supposed to destroy the TVA. That's Barry apparent he's going to be attacking the TVA at least. There was the whole thing at D23 where it was all wrecked. And I think they even said something about it. Like at D23, they had a thing where he could walk the TVA. And yeah, there was like a definitely like a big fight broke out and shit.
Starting point is 02:35:35 Cool. So yeah, good to be attacking the TVA. That makes sense if he wants control. Do you think, do you think Doom will bring up King? Yes. I think he'll mention him. I think we might even get like a recast for a scene or two. Like I feel like Kang has to do something.
Starting point is 02:35:50 That would be nuts. Yeah. I would like a little bit of a Kang back. And I want to see that Daily Wire movie right now. Yeah. Jacob Beach. I think it might have been a mistake to re-release endgame. Saw it in a pack theater last time.
Starting point is 02:36:03 And all I remember was how perfect every character's ending is. The energy felt like the theater agreed. Why was that a mistake, though? Because now they're undoing those ending. Oh, oh, so he's like kind of in agreeance with us? I think, yeah, it sounds like it. I mean, that like a lot of people
Starting point is 02:36:20 liked where it ended there. And now that's getting undone. I mean, this is we got to roll with. That's what doomsday is. Yeah, here we are. Going to see how we feel in December. When the Rousseau's got hired, they were like, I don't want to watch all this shit.
Starting point is 02:36:34 No. I'm going to make it a sequel link. I'm going to pull a Sam Ramey. I'm just going to make the thing. I don't need to watch Wanda Vision. Wanda, you're bad. Great. I mean, we're multiverse of math.
Starting point is 02:36:46 madness, they were thrusted into a position where they didn't, it wasn't like, I don't want to watch it. Like, it wasn't done. Yeah, but they could like read the scripts. There was access to the information. No, I don't blame Sam Ramey. All right. I blame you for your cynicism. Yeah. I blame Toby for corrupting Sam Rame. Chris, have either of you seen Jumper? I have. Yep. I'd be curious for your thoughts are on it. Fun time for a reaction if you get the chance. Great cast stellar visuals and an interesting take on teleportation. Yeah, I remember they made like a YouTube show. I dug it. There's like YouTube Red. That's how Cobra Kai started.
Starting point is 02:37:21 It's the first season. Crazy right. First or second season, both of them, I think we're on YouTube Red. I was gonna realize there's the time. There's a YouTube Red. And yeah,
Starting point is 02:37:30 they had put, they made like a jumper show that Doug Lyman did actually helm. I was think he was really trying to make like an IP out of it. That'd have been cool. I like jumper. I don't remember it,
Starting point is 02:37:40 but I remember being like, this is a little cool than I thought they would actually be. I thought it'd be silly and stupid. But no, it's actually all right. And they threw a lot of money on it. That's how we got a jumper, Doug Lyman. Like, it's crazy to think about what money we got thrown at those streamers in the beginning.
Starting point is 02:37:53 Those shows would never exist now. Doug Lyman started the Bourne universe and everyone just looks at the Paul Greengrass films. Doug Lyman directed Roadhouse. Yes, he did. I still love that movie. I was still one of my favorite actors in the channel. Mr. Elmack, I've had numerous disagreements with people saying the OG ending is out of character for Steve. Now the new ending is basically saying, yeah,
Starting point is 02:38:15 you're right. This is the first time I'm upset about it. Which part are you upset about exactly? The fact that yeah, you're right or the fact that the OG ending for Steve is out of character. I think it's in character. I think he earned it. I don't understand not resting. Like not having a victory. Otherwise, he's just forever fighting. Yeah, I didn't feel like it was out of character. I thought it was perfect. I love the ending in that film. I feel like he put the stones back. He did his job. Right, and then he got to be a person. He got to be Steve Rogers. He got his last dance, which they set up the first time we meet him. You know, if the roosters are really bold, they'd explain how he put all the stones back. I feel like that was one of the fan theories
Starting point is 02:38:57 of like what Doomsday could be, but I don't know if they... Like the soul stone. How do you put the soul stone back? What was this conversation? And he's like, well, fucking Red Skull, huh? Yeah, exactly. So, bro. To put a stone back, you don't have to do a soul for a soul, do you? Or life or a life or give up something you love.
Starting point is 02:39:11 He's got a boop his nose. Yeah. He doesn't have one. Or, uh, Put the ether back in a fucking Natalie Bormann? Like how does it do all those things? Shows a stone in Vision's head. How does he know where the ancient one is?
Starting point is 02:39:24 He knows how to contact her directly. He's had this rooftop. This is a plus show. I'd be down. Yeah, watch. Chris, I still wish RDJ was not doom. He's great, but it's distracting and brings more questions and answers. Mark Strong would have been my choice.
Starting point is 02:39:38 Well, it's really simply. Just as a variant. He shares the same face. You see, there's a cave, and he's going to be. making a Doom mask. I don't feel like he's, okay, I think they're going to know, it's what you said about the Captain America,
Starting point is 02:39:55 Chris Evans, Deadpool Wolverine thing. That's what it's going to be. I don't think human torch is a variant of Captain America. He just has this in this universe. That's the face he has. Right. But Deadpool thought that was Captain America. And now we're going to get a serious version of that with Dr. Doom.
Starting point is 02:40:15 But they didn't have human torch holding a shield. It was Deadpool that made the joke that he's going to say it. He's going to say it. Then he said a flame on instead of a symbol. The problem becomes if there's a scene of someone hammering, then it's doom making motions that are associated with Iron Man. Yeah. That's beyond like what they already did as a comedic take.
Starting point is 02:40:36 They were having him enact an Iron Man thing, which is way worse. I knew you were going to love that when I told it. I'm so fucking upset. We're going to find out tonight. Oh, when I texted you, that was. Yeah, that was the one. But I texted you about like, not about the thumbnail. I texted you about like, there's one.
Starting point is 02:40:50 I'm just so curious to hear your thoughts on it. I'm like, it's a brief second. Just stay. All right. Diego Guevera. We've had multiple looks of Doomsday, but TVA post credit scene is the first thing out of everything we've seen that the stakes feel fucking real. That's exactly the point. That's why I was trying to like dilute some of the experience of it, some Coikin experience.
Starting point is 02:41:11 I'm excited to see it. Because yeah, that scene is, that is like a. great. I think it's the one, that one scene. Like, that's a great scene. And it is one that's like, ooh, that's intense. It is, it's the best scene of before. And it has no popular, like, no popular Marvel character.
Starting point is 02:41:27 Yeah. Like, it's the biggest one, Mobius. That's awesome. That's such good character work. I love that. That's great. But it is the most, it is one that's like, oh, shit. Like, I'm starting to feel this. Yeah. I can't even see it in the theater. I'm really excited. Tyler, do you guys still read stream labs? Yeah, man. What the fuck? Ray, pull them up.
Starting point is 02:41:44 I hate you, Ray. Never liked you. Yeah, it's Ray's fault. We haven't read them. Guys, blame Ray. Can you refresh that? Did you ever go by Sugar Ray? I would have.
Starting point is 02:41:57 He doesn't know who that is. Oh, no. Are you so young, you know how Sugar Ray is? Oh, fuck. He said, is that an artist? Oh, fuck. He's the first black president.
Starting point is 02:42:09 Yeah. Sugar Ray is a band that was in the T.R. era, which I thought you might have known as like a young kid, but not not known. Shriveray's, they're pretty great. Please do. It's kind of like 90s rock me to like lounge singer. It's like a fun.
Starting point is 02:42:26 It's a chill vibe. It's like not quite red hot chili peppers chill, but it's in that direction of chill, but with more of like a loungy Sinatra edge. He doesn't know Sinatra. Anonymous. Anonymous. I just want to say, I did not catch this before, but thank you. Just had to show some love because it was so soaked to see the transfer.
Starting point is 02:42:47 is 806 release on Transformers Air September 17th, how to go to work. And there you guys were reviewing it. Thank you, buddy. Thank you. Yeah, we don't. We were excited to do it. That was fun.
Starting point is 02:42:56 Ditto, UV, my birthday soon. So I want to see you guys are amazing. Also, I really hope Loki is integral to the story because it's like, I don't know, it would be wussy if Doom just fucks Loki over or something. But oh my God, seeing him was chills. Hey, glad you had that experience, man. Hell yeah. Are you a birthday soon?
Starting point is 02:43:19 I thought it happened on your birthday. I'm glad you got to celebrate around your birthday by getting a Loki moment. If Doom kills the god of stories, who's going to control the god of stories? That's what I'm saying. I don't know if he's going to become Molecular Man where he's trapped in Doom's control, and he's then just working the machinations because I do feel like without that element. But they've also put themselves as a very tricky spot with like bringing Loki back at all with that. Like that was such a perfect ending to be like tucked away over there.
Starting point is 02:43:49 or not have to be like what does that actually mean now we've got to ask that question like they have the perfect ending of like you've given me just enough without me asking questions now i have questions and it does imply too because that is easily the like quantum mania's like he got king's a villain in it but he the one where you really understand king and his whole backstory is the one we have to watch is the show yeah that's that's that's that's that's what i think time he's going to get a yeah like there'll be some kang so i definitely do think that like they'll like they'll like acknowledge it in some way because they are saying more than just watched Loki's story
Starting point is 02:44:23 like you're telling you to experience the Kang story. And Mobius is the biggest scene you just described like and that's integral to Kang. Yeah, it all is. He who remains is the one who created the fucking TVA. So yeah, it would be kind of have to. You kind of have to. So yeah, it
Starting point is 02:44:39 seems like they are factoring in the Kang story. That was something I just feel like would be annoying if they're like they don't talk about the main thing of that story. Diego Guevara. I'm 100% sure that we will see D-D, but season one and two ended with a radiohead song.
Starting point is 02:44:56 It's over with season three. What radio-ahead sound would you all choose to end it with? I don't know, radio-head that well. I don't know radio-head that well at all. I didn't get into radio-head like a lot of my friends. I'm going to pull up Radiohead. Or maybe. What other song would you end it with?
Starting point is 02:45:12 Daredevil? Yeah. Corn's blind. Nice. I do hit the road, Jack. by Ray Charles. Yeah. Why?
Starting point is 02:45:25 Because he's done. Ray Charles is blind. Oh, I thought because like the shows overhit the road jet. Or I do Georgia by Ray Charles. Because he's blind. Because he's blind. I see. It's not about themes.
Starting point is 02:45:35 No. It's about blindness. I would love to get Daredevil's powers, man. Blindness? Yeah. I could do it. I can blow it off. I mean, I'm heading that direction.
Starting point is 02:45:49 Karma police was well used. I think that was one of them. Creep is their most popular song. I don't know if they've used creep yet. Oh. Let down because that's how I feel about not getting a season four. Let's move on. We got this, Ray.
Starting point is 02:46:08 Chris, if Dynamic Duo is DCU, I love the casting for Batman Dick and Jason. I'm glad someone does. Coy doesn't really, uh, you still think Jake Gyllenhaal can pull it off? Yeah, I think he'd be the best. I, the prisoners,
Starting point is 02:46:22 Jake Gyllenhaal is Nightcrawler, love another drugs Jake Jelenhall is Bruce Wayne like he is he's got a darkness to him he's got like he's a movie star who can play Talia Alguel opposite jakey jakes or just in the DCU what if that's who Adrian R. Hon is actually playing that'd be crazy but yeah who would play Talia for you Talia al-Gul yeah gal good deal no um man that's such a specific character I don't know a lot of like mysterious menacing power sexy
Starting point is 02:46:56 Yeah I mean that's a lot of But like Middle Eastern But like very specifically like charged Whoa Like even Rashallel was hard to cast Because like I fan cast Your wife told me about this I fan cast Damian Wayne
Starting point is 02:47:09 As a kid that's like A quarter Romani And everyone was like Cois racist That character has to be at least half Romani Romani is the whole point of his heritage So I don't know what region Of what country Talia
Starting point is 02:47:21 is supposed to be from and I'm afraid to speak out because I'm racist. The fact that I got back to Olivia. I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I was hoping you had an answer off. No, I'm sorry. Stephen McGrary, thoughts on Clayface trailer and confirmed rated R.
Starting point is 02:47:36 Oh yeah, I thought it was been rated for a while. Yeah. I have not seen the new trailer. I feel like we've seen enough. Yeah, I stopped watching trailers. But I've been excited for that since in Cimicom when I watch half the trailer through my hands. Yeah, man, I feel like it's going to be an awesome time.
Starting point is 02:47:50 Very excited. Next part. Alan Smithy. Hey, buddy. Hey, Ryan. Hey, hey, Greg and Coy. Glad the Friday live stream is back. They're loving watching lanterns with you guys.
Starting point is 02:47:59 And I'm always positive about more Lord of the Rings reactions. Oh, no, Gandalf is dead. Always a great moment. Thanks, guys. Yeah, I'm glad they're having a good time. And we made sure they watched the extended edition. We paid attention. We paid attention.
Starting point is 02:48:10 Loving lanterns too. We're last two episodes. Oh, my God. Seven and eight. And I love that the show's gotten so big. It's crazy. Like, it's like, top five HBO Max. Like, that's huge for a show that's,
Starting point is 02:48:21 so serious and like I didn't know how I would do I hope it translates me too hey there junior I would love to be Kyle Chandler I'd rather be him than Daredevil yeah hey there junior I just hope you have like a Kyle Chandler renaissance like I hope it's one of those roles that everyone loves him so much we see him everywhere because he's such a fascinating he's so charming I mean yeah what he plays is Hal Jordan is not too far off of other roles he can play but like we don't we don't Kyle Chandler's not like a how household name like he could be. I'd like to see like.
Starting point is 02:48:54 Yeah. I agree. I love him in interviews. Christian Unpronounceable. Oh, before I forget, I want to shout out. Our show is trending. Dude, that first day one, fucking over $130,000 raised for the show.
Starting point is 02:49:09 That was crazy. That was insane. Better than we expected. So thank you to everyone who contributed to that. We're like 90% of the way there actually now. We're pretty, pretty close. Shield vids. I really believe that Marvel should use your Wolverine series idea.
Starting point is 02:49:26 Maybe every three episodes we enter a new time period for him, nine to 12 episode season. I think it'd be great. I think the TV is the only way I want Wolverine anytime soon because he could be separate of the X-Men and also the agelessness. I think it's perfect. Me too. Thank you, Shield.
Starting point is 02:49:41 Thank you, buddy. Thank you. All right, guys, Koi has to go host the Avengers. Thank you, my God. I got to go watch those scenes. I love so excited about. After all that. watch those scenes I'm so excited about.
Starting point is 02:49:55 I'm sure I know you though, man. You'll be with a crowd. I'm going to enjoy the experience. It's probably going to play totally different for you. You know, it wasn't so bad. And whether I don't like the scenes or not, I will not be so like that I won't enjoy the experience. Like I'm very excited about the experience of watching in game in a theater and new scenes
Starting point is 02:50:10 with a crowd. That's going to be great. And that's my, Anya's first I've seen it ever. She's only watched. What? Yeah. It's on his first time? She's only watched like a third of the MCU.
Starting point is 02:50:20 So I'm really curious what she thinks the movie like. Has she's seen an infinity? War? No. So she's going to be our litmus test. Yeah. Of someone who watches a bunch of post credit scenes for stuff that she's like, I have no idea what the fuck we're talking about. Has she not seen Infinity War? No.
Starting point is 02:50:34 You just asked. I said no a second ago. I asked that question with the assumption that it would be yes. Why would you do this to your wife? Because she hasn't seen Infinity War on the things tonight. But you've had a week to show her Infinity War. I've seen nine movies in the last two and a half days, Craig. Just fucking ask her to watch it.
Starting point is 02:50:53 why didn't you ask her to watch you know why she would so find out what kind of experience why would you wait wait what why would you i i don't understand why you of all people would let your wife watch this without her infinity war like if there's anyone who has to uphold the experience of endgame for the love of your life so baffling you wouldn't show like make sure she watches Infinity War I don't know she
Starting point is 02:51:32 That's a no questions asked You make the time You divide it into three separate nights If you have to Like I don't understand Why you wouldn't fucking show this to her This is so weird Maybe I'll get her to watch it right now
Starting point is 02:51:44 This is so weird I don't think she would I can see like a bunch of other people Making this decision like a fuck it Who cares but like It's you Everything we just talked about Preserving these periods.
Starting point is 02:51:57 Like, what she's not... After everything we talked about. She's not attached. Who gives us shit? I don't think she was. She's definitely not going to be attached now. She's going to be bored out of her fucking mind. She's not going to have any context for what the fuck she's watching.
Starting point is 02:52:09 I only found out I was hosting this a day and a half ago. I, here I am. It's two hours and 20 minutes. You could have divided it up into sections. I'll see if I get her to watch him. Oh my God. It makes no sense to me. I can't believe we're ending.
Starting point is 02:52:26 this way. Thanks to everyone who's been in Morda stream. What do you mean? Greg wants you. You should want her to watch Infinity War. I don't understand why I'm, how, how is this the thing where I'm trying to tell you of all people to do? This makes,
Starting point is 02:52:45 you have no right to be mad about the encore. All right, all right, guys. I've never seen it. Greg crash out like Koi crashes up. This is nuts. This is no makes no sense. It doesn't line up with the person I know.
Starting point is 02:52:56 Like, who would it make sure they watch this? All right, guys. Well, I'll thank you for everyone who's been here. Thanks to everyone who's been kind. You're not here next week. I'm not here next week. Yeah, I'm out of town. If you see me in New York, please say hi.
Starting point is 02:53:17 And then I will be, I'll be here. We'll have another show together before. We'll have one more before you go. And then you're out for two. Yeah. So he won't be here to talk about Clayface. You selfish bastard. I'm going to Ireland.
Starting point is 02:53:29 All right. Bye, everyone. Bye! Captain America was selfish. That's right. Like me. Captain America sucks. You're a dick sucker.
