On June 18, 2023, Ocean Gates' Titan submersible imploded during an expedition dive to the Titanic,
killing all five on board, including Ocean Gate founder and CEO, Stockton Rush.
Numerous industry experts and employees from within Ocean Gate itself had warned Rush,
of impending doom, citing safety concerns and a lack of testing.
His hubris, ego, and reckless desire for innovation over all else
cost him his life and that of four others.
The catastrophic destruction of the Titan submersible sent shockwaves
through the ocean exploration industry that are still being felt today.
The Ocean Gate Titan Submersible, a preventable tragedy,
a two-part series available now on shipwrecks and sea dogs.

Thank you to Hewle for sponsoring this video.
More on them in just a bit.
Anyway, guys, let's watch the Penelope show, shall we?
All right, guys, with a full reaction, watch the long as about for a real rejects,
who have literally been saving the channel.
I've said that for a while, but my God, hasn't been more true than ever.
Thank you, guys.
Thank you, guys.
Love you dearly.
And you can also support the channel by getting some our apparel.
I got John for not much time
This was a very last minute shoot
I apologize considering how thick of an episode
This is but you guys usually just binge
Anyway you don't you don't take the time to talk about per episode
You don't appreciate this shit the way we do
That's me deflecting for my own shortcomings
So yeah man that was that was crazy ending
That was that was intense
I was kind of worried oh like after what I liked one and two
But I wasn't like enthralled when I was
I was like, everyone said the season's like great and better.
And I wasn't like quite captivated.
And I was trying to express my, like maybe what some of my resistance was because of like trying to acclimate to the fact that we don't really have our leads now.
And it's a completely different shift.
Yeah.
Um, but this one like kind of removed all that.
I think actually having Daphne around kind of softened the transition blow for me.
Yeah.
On my own subjective level.
But even before she showed up, I was very much like, oh, this is like the Bridgetton show I love.
Yeah.
I was really fucking hooked into that, man.
That was gripping from the flashbacks to learning about the dad and the mom
and understanding how Anthony became to be who he is to everything going on with Kate and Edwina
and even down to the Featherington.
That was all amazing, man.
Yeah, every day, every plotline was fascinating.
And yeah, it's like after having Anthony as a prominent one of your main supporting characters of season one,
but not the main, you know, character, not one.
of the main couple of season one, you know, to expound upon him here in ways that also incorporate
like Lady Bridgerton, I thought were really, really fantastic because, yeah, you watch this
transition of like, oh shit, you are just like a boy in way over your head after this freak
occurrence. Yeah. And now you're not only having to like learn about the world and make those
adult decisions, but now you're also having to like take on way too much, you know, harsh, grieving
nuance all at once. Yeah.
And yeah, it just is really tempered
is it just, yeah, it does nicely.
You can already tell what might be lurking
under the surface and they've hinted at the history
of, you know, the great love between
Lady and Edmund Bridgerton. But yeah, to like finally witness
that here was very impacting. And then, yeah,
you start to see, especially knowing
then what Kate Nadwina's history
a little bit is, you know, there's like so much
connective tissue there.
And, uh, and it's really fun
to watch because it's like,
him courting
Edwina is like
you can see the plan
you're like yeah
they're having fun together
like these two could be like
contentish
but she deserves
freaking love
and like
and Anthony and Kate
are so clearly made
for each other
in ways that neither of them
can see yet
and so like that's a great
classic romance game
and I think this season
especially as of an episode
like this is really like
drawing it well
I wonder if in the book
if they were actually
by a lot of
sisters yeah I wonder I think it softens the blow when they're not it's like when I say
softens a blow I mean like maybe 5% softens the blow yeah yeah yeah you're when you're like
pure biological it's like so you're switching from yeah yeah it's a little funky but uh but yeah
it softens the sort of context a little bit for you so you can be like oh yeah they're two
they're they're they're sisters by circumstance yeah you know but but yeah the
the lines of etiquette seem a little less rigid there
if they're not like full sisters.
Well, similar to season one
when we got Simon's flashback
where we understood why he's such a hard ass.
It's like we kind of knew why Anthony was a hard ass,
but we didn't quite get the details
or get the chance to feel it
outside of knowing the information
that he became head of the family,
but understanding specifically the point in time
of when that occurred does add so much new.
nuance to the situation.
And now, I don't, were the bees in the season one opening credits, or they just really heavily
emphasize them here now?
Because, yeah, that's like, they're the same opening credits, right?
Sort of.
I think so.
I think the bee shows up.
I remember if season one had a couple moments where the bee would appear in episodes as like
a motif.
Yeah.
But I think it shows up in the intro card.
I like the bookend of it of how the bee takes life in the beginning.
And then now it's like breathing new life in with a heart.
Heartbeats, like you lose a heartbeat in the beginning, and now they're...
Bringing two heart...
...al 60, a heartbeat.
Yeah.
...amplifying the heartbees.
Something deep there.
What's your relationship with food right now, Rejects?
So last year, as many of you guys know, I went full psychodiccipline, tracked everything.
I chased a specific physique just to prove I could do it.
This year, I'm learning maintenance.
I'm learning moderation.
How not to spiral because I missed one macro.
It's a work in progress.
Before I proceed, I want to mention to you how good.
grateful I am, how so many of you guys have messaged me directly how you got on a
hughal because of me and how much you're enjoying it. Thank you. Because here's the honest part.
I'm still the guy who likes to track what he eats and simultaneously lacks the discipline to meal prep.
That's when something like hule, black edition, ready to drink, really helps save the day.
That's right, Coet, John,ro. I set aside one just for me so you didn't jack it the next time
you're in this office. It's a complete meal in a bottle, 35 grams of protein, 27 essential
vitamins and minerals, no artificial sweeteners, colors, or flavors, gluten-free, under
You're $5 a bottle, and it actually helps keep you full and sustain for a few hours.
And sometimes when I'm home, I use the Black Edition powder because you can mix it in with other
stuff to make it more tasty.
But even then, I can't be lazy despite promoting discipline.
That's why this thing is really great.
Because ready to drink, RTD for short, not RDJ, that's Robert Downey Jr.
RTD ready to drink is great when life is chaotic.
And powder when I want more control and I'm mixing a little bit more of my own little zest.

for partnering and supporting our show yet once again something something nuance there yeah man the
bees are the cruel architects of the universe here yeah they could show up one instant kill your dad
show up another instant gets you dangerously close to a romance that we know should happen but right now
is messed up yeah well the dramatic half of the flashbacks to
feels sincerely dramatic and sad
where like the the cruelty of Simon
when we're comparing flashbacks
the cruelty of Simons felt like
soap opera evil
you know even though people like that
definitely exist
there was something about the execution
that felt a little hammed up
it's so extreme it was so
circumstance is very extreme
and it was the capturing of how they did it
were there was none of that in these flashbacks
yeah and
In terms of the present-day storyline with the game that they were playing and the way they built up the tension leading to the ending moment, I thought they earned it quite well.
And I'm so glad they didn't get because I was like, I mean, it's a bad.
It was, yeah, great, great kiss tension.
It really was, yeah.
Great, like all the little looks and all the like, oh shit, they're starting to feel it.
They're both starting to feel it.
It's like the body, the instinct is taken over.
And then, yeah, interrupted and saved by the bell, saved by the nay.
well the game of season one is just a weird debacle of like you too clearly like each other just say it
just got to get out of your own ways a little bit like this weird like we're just pretending you know we're just pretending we don't really but they really do we're really good at pretending really selling this shit it's like it awesome it's exciting yeah i'm down playing it but this is like such real there's something more real of terms of this consequences because they're sisters and the heart brick that i ween is
going through like that it really feels steak heavy it feels really precarious and like anything could go very
wrong in a number of ways any second yeah you know yeah and it's such high stakes because all three
of them you know deep down want to experience that love and each and only adwinah is like really
fully open to it right now yeah so that all of that is like high stakes because these are like
three hearts in the balance and the diamond of the season but also
Yeah, these two sort of gatekeepers of their own families.
Yeah.
You know, yeah.
It's great.
Lady Bridgetton was amazing.
It's terrific.
I loved Benedict so much.
That was so fun.
I love him.
Congrats on art school, buddy.
I mean, I've seen the season four, like, main wallpaper images, and it's clearly
season four is going to be his season, and people have loved it.
Don't know anything specific outside of an image I've seen because you open up Netflix
It's the first fucking thing you were seeing is, oh, it's Benedict.
And so I'm like, I'm liking how, because I enjoyed him in season one, but this season, I've been getting way more endeared to him.
So it's nice, it's interesting watching the series being aware that four will be his season.
Yeah.
So kind of paying more attention to him than I probably would have because of that.
Because now you're collecting the early details.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's making for like an enjoyable ride.
And Penelope and what's going on with the...
Adam Dellaquant.
That's a cool team up.
Forming an alliance.
Love to see it.
But even the Featherington stuff.
Like, they found a way to make it fun.
That's what I mean.
This episode was fun.
This was a very fun one.
But it's the kind of drama fun that I really enjoy.
Because while it's dramatic and there's intensity to it, there's great character beat moments.
I like the scene with El Luis and Kate quite a bit too when they're bonding with each other.
Danbury and Lady Bridgeton, the way they're kind of like scheming.
together but then Danbury
I mean Lady Featherington
not fucking out so many people
Lady Bridgerton and
Lady Sharma the way they're bonding
with each other there was a lot of great
like interactions and
what this did for Anthony this episode
really because I've always enjoyed him but they
it's essentially like really like a character
but then oh my God I really feel like I get him now
yeah they really this episode was so
crucial for that
maybe something
me guys already did prior to this, but I didn't quite feel.
I was like, you know what?
If I mean totally honest, I might have been some of my apprehension now that I think about
it was like, I'm not as into Anthony as maybe the show wants me to me.
So maybe I'm having a hard time like, get like, I like him more in the supporting role.
Yeah.
And now I'm like, oh shit, now I'm really fucking invested.
And then having that panic moment at the end, I thought it was a great way to get their,
their, their, like it's a, they put a wall up in the heart.
their walls are fucking breaking down in that moment
and they're literally touching each other's hearts
It was a really well-ridden and fucking exciting
episode
I really love that one
That was great
That was invigorating
Well because it's like it's there's greater
There have been emotional depths across the show
But this episode deftly balanced
Like a great amount of heartbreaking
emotional stuff
With like kind of a hangout episode
At points like you're like more so than
others in a way
especially when you're watching them play this game
and they're just kind of out and around on the grounds and stuff.
And then all the stuff with the Featheringtons.
And yeah, I don't know.
I think that, like, one thing that has gotten me increasingly excited
is sort of seeing now in these episodes a better sense of, like,
what the grander game of the show might be,
which is like, yeah, each season will have different members of the ensemble
shuffling out, making room for new ones to take center stage.
And so, yeah, I might have felt like, yeah, you know,
like I like Jack.
I like the actor whose name I know.
Jonathan Bailey.
There we go.
I like Jonathan Bailey a lot.
And yeah, in the first season, I'm like, cool.
I thought he was going to be like a more focal character, but he's part of the ensemble.
Great.
And then, yeah, here I'm like, oh, yeah, I am now locked into this guy.
I get him.
Or at least I feel for, you know, his unique set of baggage.
And yeah, I'm looking forward to that now for other characters potentially.
I've seen the wallpaper for season four, too.
I don't know what season three.
I have no idea what season three.
Yeah, so yeah, like those things now I'm like, oh, cool.
What's Queen Charlotte about?
What is her deal?
But, you know, the idea that, yeah, we'll have these different characters who provide one function proportionally in a season that's not all about them will then take on a new shape when the season is about them.
It seems cool.
Yeah.
like a cool device of the show.
Had a great time with that one.
Really, really loved the hell out of it.
Thank you guys so much for being here.
Hell yeah.
And if we end up doubling up on any of them,
you'll know by the notification.
Or our patrons now.
Our Royal Rejects often know.
Sorry for not having questions today.
Royals.
It was the last minute shoot.
So thank you guys so much.
We'll see you for next episode.
Bye.
