Starting point is 00:01:13 the money app that makes it simple and cheap to make small yet significant investments. Do you have anything else to tell the people before we hop in? No. Quiet! You know, I should just relax.
Starting point is 00:01:30 I should really just relax. I am. I hate things. Well, gang, we've done it. Hey. We got one more episode in part one to go. Can't believe it. Seasons flying by.
Starting point is 00:01:44 Andrew. Yes. Greg. Yes. Andrew. Yes. Andrew, what do you think? I think that if you guys are listening on Apple or Spotify,
Starting point is 00:01:52 you should use those karate fists and give us a five rating we would really appreciate it. And also if you want teas like these, reject nation shop.com. We would so appreciate it. You know, in regards to references, not a ton, I would say the- The bloody nose thing. The bloody nose, it's just like Gabe Jared and Karate Kid 3 when Terry Silver got him agitated and made him punch Gabe Jared. That shirt really reminded me of the shirt that Daniel wore with his date, his platonic first date with Jessica Andrews. I'm not going to lie when Johnny and Mike Barnes were fighting, albeit you had that wood chipper in there.
Starting point is 00:02:28 minus that it really did remind me the first time Daniel and Mike fought in Mr. Miyagi's bonzai shop kind of like that so it's giving me some vibes of that you know we should have saw that Devon Lee thing coming because she was kind of talking about with the Chung Lee move
Starting point is 00:02:44 cheating and all that so we really should have seen that coming even though that still was a good twist in there. I blame myself this is my fault guys I do like this you know in this episode I really did like this theme going back to Karate Kid Part 3 and I believe we did see it in season three with Samantha,
Starting point is 00:03:00 where she had self-doubt after the fight at the school against Tori. You know, with these, you had Anthony, you had Dimitri, just having self-doubt. It's a major theme that we get in Karate Kid. And just, you know, it's something that we have in life, too. It's an identity crisis that we have. And I think, you know, Karate Kid and Kobra Kai, of course, just does a very mature and great job of just highlighting that.
Starting point is 00:03:21 I mean, it's something we can all resonate to. And I think this episode just did a really good job of highlighting it. I thought it was a good episode to step away from all the stuff that was happening in, I believe it's South Korea with, you know, Kim Sun Yung. North Korea. Sorry, my bad. With Kim Sun Young and, you know, Kim Dian, all that stuff. So it was nice to get a little bit away from that and just focus, you know, on the inner dramas of what's happening with Miyagi Fang, Miyagi Do, rather, with that's going on there.
Starting point is 00:03:51 I do like that Johnny took, you know, an investment in Devonle, because I feel like she's kind of been on the... the back burner just for the past two seasons and she's, you know, not gotten her due. It does suck that she had to resort to cheating. I think that, like you guys said, that is going to be part of her arc. She's going to, you know, she's going to win the tournament. She's definitely going to win the tournament. But I think she's going to have to confess that she did cheat. Because, I mean, you saw what it did to Torrey when she realized that Terry Silver paid off
Starting point is 00:04:23 the ref at the end of season four in the All Valley tournament. It just ate her up inside. couldn't live with that. So I got a feeling that something like that's going to happen with Devin. She's going to have that kind of an arc. But yeah. Honor is a part of the Miyagi dough. G-Train.
Starting point is 00:04:39 Do you agree? I don't think people that young should be taking laxatives on their own without a doctor prescribing it. How do you know a doctor didn't prescribe it? It said penis breath on there. Yes. I would like to fill a prescription for Miralex for a 1-P breath. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:55 Anyway. I shouldn't know that young. Not the best thing to take before athletics. You've got to be careful with it. Yeah, that's not really smart. It is my favorite episode of the season so far. I'd agree with that. I think it was really fun.
Starting point is 00:05:07 It was a fun, gripping, engaging episode that had a lot of tension. Not the funniest one, but certainly the most invested I was. I felt like I was just glued to the screen the entire time. Watching Johnny's evolution and watching the conflicts that are arising where he went behind Daniel's back and I'm there with Daniel a bit of he's it's kind of playing too much into a bias it's playing too much favoritism where he's really pushing one student it's a shared dojo but he's like heavily pushing one student forward into Mike Byron's eyes and I don't think that's really fair to the other contestants the other three students and the fight was cool though
Starting point is 00:05:56 If I was cool, I really love Mike Barnes in this episode. I thought it made a lot of psychological sense for him to have things resurface of things that are probably unsolved. Because you catch up with him in the last season, you probably think like, oh, he probably went to therapy and really worked on himself, got his life clean. But when you go back into the place that put you in the darkness, it makes sense that you would succumb to the darkness again. So now he has to repaint it for himself, which I really like. and as far as this ending goes i mean yeah devon's obviously going to confess that was that was their way of how do we get them all in so devon wins and then devon realizes and then now kenny gets to go
Starting point is 00:06:39 i mean i'd be surprised if they don't do that it'd be really annoying and it's not their best team there's no way that mityre's better than hawk so there's no way well i mean is that can't get undone somehow is he going to give up his spot to hawk? Or is Devin going to confess, and then both Devin and Kenny will go? Dmitri. Yeah, I could see that happening, actually, that Dmitri gives it up. I want to take a quick moment to thank today's sponsor, Acorns.
Starting point is 00:07:13 I first heard about this investment app from Dwayne the Rock Johnson. Not directly, I just saw an ad for it. And I was like, let's try this out, because let's be real. Investing can feel like a daunting task. And many people, myself included, don't know where to start. most of the time. I have many friends who invest, impart their wisdom to me, and I still get overwhelmed by the thought of it. Plus, there's this myth that you need a ton of money to get started. So with our busy lives, it's very easy to put off thinking about our financial
Starting point is 00:07:35 future. And what's great about Acorns is it makes it easy to start automatically saving and investing for your future. Best part, you don't need a lot of money or expertise to start with Acorns. In fact, you can get started with just your spare change. As someone who has been living off of commission for a very long time now, having something to invest in is very important in my life. The idea that small actions today can have a massive impact on your future really resonates with me.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Because from Acorns, Mighty Oaks do grow. So grow your oak. But seriously, guys, give it a shot if you're interested. You can head at Acorns.com slash rejects or download the Acorns app to start saving and investing for your future today. Because we're dealing with finances, it's important for me to say this. Paid non-client endorsement. Compensation provides incentive to positively promote acorns.
Starting point is 00:08:28 Vesting involves risk. Acorns advisor LLC and SEC registered investment advisor. View important disclosures at acorns.com slash rejects. All that being said, I do vouch for them. And so does Dwayne the Rock Johnson. I agree, though. This is my favorite episode so far. This is, I've been, you know, obviously enjoying continuing Cobra Kai.
Starting point is 00:08:46 This season has had a little bit of, you know, kind of funky pace, funky tone here or there. Not in any huge way, but this episode is. easily the most were the greatest extent of these four thus far that I've just been like completely pulled in the episode ended and I was like oh what wait there's not more you know um which is just a nice feeling to have and I would agree with all y'all's sentiments and I like that they're not really shying away from the fact that we know most of who the team will be and there's not really a lot of mystery there and so using yeah a competition so that we can have a bit more funning games you know everybody having a chance to either spar or do some of these more out of
Starting point is 00:09:24 the box training exercises and whatnot. And then, yeah, setting up the seeds of discord between, you know, our team to, you know, increase the tension and the drama going into, you know, a situation where we need to be as unified as possible. I just wish we would have got a payoff if Johnny does get that 15% bump raise and choice of music on the ground floor at La Rousseau-A. Because I think he deserves it. I think the final scene of the show will be...
Starting point is 00:09:49 That's the last thing in episode 15? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And then he'll put some 80s metal on and... and immediately sell a Hyundai. Yeah, yeah, totally. Yeah, but I think to your point, too, I think when we see all 15 episodes, because it's a lot to cram in at once,
Starting point is 00:10:04 and this is the first time we're getting five episodes. Again, it's a lot to do at once. I think when we get to see all 15, it's going to flow maybe a little bit better. You mean the release strategy is odd? You mean dividing this up into three parts, several months apart is a little odd? I get why they did it.
Starting point is 00:10:22 Like, this is it. You do? it's odd I it's weird like I like it as a concept a lot but I do think that it has altered the way the structuring and tonality of the show thus far is weird like a better at this moment in time part of me goes oh maybe a better choice would have been to just give us a final season and maybe paced it out week to week but you know because it's Netflix and we cannot do that you know we need to have some version of this but yeah I'm very torn because I as a person who often likes to savor the end of a show doesn't want to like go in a binge you know blink of an eye I like the idea but I can't deny that it has I'm interested to see how the next five and the five after that breathe with each other and hopefully when everybody is kind of you know organized at this tournament and I that too I don't know whether to expect that we'll be at the tournament for the middle chunk I would assume it probably be the end chunk but either way
Starting point is 00:11:22 Uh, yeah. What he's saying is he misses Terry Silver like me and we can't wait to see him back. We all miss Terry Silver. We need some Thomas Ian Griffith. Absolutely. A sap. A sap. And I do have a theory about him that I will mention in another video.
Starting point is 00:11:35 Oh, why? Why save it? You want me to say now Greg's getting tired. We got to get out of here. All right. Well, Dimitri's going to win the whole thing and, uh, Kenny never going to get resolved. And, uh, yeah, he's just going to be known as the poop guy. And, uh, his life is going to spiral into depression.
Starting point is 00:11:52 That happened to me in second grade. Yeah? It happened to me in fourth grade at a baseball game. Happened to me in class. Happened to me last night. I thought I told you not to talk about my own humiliations. Yes, I will keep my mouth shut. You know, I didn't implicate you.
Starting point is 00:12:10 I know, but still. Well, we talked about this. Don't implicate yourself. Thank you for emitting guilt. One time I did it at the front of an apartment. Really? Yeah, and then I was answering, man, I had to go really bad. Did you drop the trow or did you just, did you just?
Starting point is 00:12:26 Yeah, no, I did the thing. Did you take laxatives before? I just had a lot of big McDonald's breakfast by myself. Ah, that'll do it. If you guys are struggling to go to the restroom, just eat some McDonald's. There's a really specific time in my life. And that too. That's a very.
Starting point is 00:12:40 When I did Taekwondo when I was a kid, I peed on the mat. Really? Yeah, but I kept going in class. For another 40 minutes. You should stop. Aw. It's okay. I just pulled my pants down and then peed on the mat and then pulled my pants back up.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Sensei Anderson. Was that who it was? Yeah. Oh, maybe, maybe Sensei Anderson's watching it right now. That's awesome. Kenny pooed in karate? He peed in karate? Awesome stories. I saw a kid vomit in karate, but.
Starting point is 00:13:11 Wow, that doesn't top any of our stories. I saw a kid combination pee poop and vomit themselves at the same time. This is really like below you that you show. on first yes clearly i will not be making it to the tournament this month but hey maybe you guys will did you poop yourself when how did it happen and what did you do to overcome the shame leave it in the comments below and we'll catch you next week uh no buzz saw nobody got hit by a buzzsaw this week or circular saw that was a bummer i was hoping the mike barns fight would get bloodier but uh yeah it was a good one and we'll catch you on the next one for the finale of part one
Starting point is 00:13:50 of the finale season. We love you. Be well. Flevdor. Listen, Flev Tavius. There's nobody I would rather have put laxatives in one of my dreams. Yes. And hopefully you're watching Cobra Kai, so you understand the reference.
Starting point is 00:14:09 Nah, nah, it's a classic piece of comedy. And if anyone appreciates classic comedy, it's Flev. And he appreciates so much that he watches us while on the toilets. So, laxative fleb is why we call you that. It's the circle of life, laxative flev. Yeah. Lax flev laxin. Flev lax.
Starting point is 00:14:30 Flev lax. That's your brand of laxatives that you could create your own proprietary recipe. You could sell it to people and help clear their gut out. Sell it to doctors. Sell it to doctors. Sell it to old people. Sell it to young people who just want to lose weight the wrong way. It's all ways to get rich, man.
Starting point is 00:14:48 There's no wrong way. Long as you achieve the goal. It's what counts. Yeah, absolutely. So Flev, get on it, you know, get the anchors out of your pants and help us, you know, get some poop into ours, I suppose. Yeah, so that's where you want to keep it. That's where you want to keep it. You always know, you did a good job when it's in the pants.
Starting point is 00:15:04 Or you could create a Flev diaper. Get your Flevlax and your Flev diaper and combine them. Dorper. Dorpers, yeah, totally. These are. Be with you. These are for you. Reverse short tank.
