Andrew Gordon & John Humphrey react to Dexter Season 5, Episodes 3 (“Practically Perfect”) & 4 (“Beauty and the Beast”), continuing the gripping journey of Showtime’s iconic crime thriller series starring Michael C. Hall (Six Feet Under, Gamer). After the emotional devastation of Season 4’s finale, Dexter Morgan must navigate grief, guilt, and his ever-present “dark passenger” while finding a disturbing new sense of purpose. In these episodes, Dexter forms a fragile and fateful connection with Lumen Pierce, played by Julia Stiles (10 Things I Hate About You, The Bourne Ultimatum), a survivor of brutal trauma whose appearance threatens to unravel Dexter’s controlled world. As he juggles single fatherhood, his secret life as a vigilante killer, and a dangerous new ally, the stakes grow higher than ever. The stellar ensemble includes Jennifer Carpenter (The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Limitless) as Debra Morgan, Desmond Harrington (Gossip Girl, The Dark Knight Rises) as Detective Quinn, Lauren Vélez (Oz, Ugly Betty) as Lieutenant Maria LaGuerta, C.S. Lee (Chuck, The League) as Masuka, and David Zayas (Gotham, The Expendables) as Angel Batista. Iconic and highly searched moments include Dexter and Lumen’s first tense encounter, Debra’s mounting frustration with the police department, Dexter’s “perfect kill room” setup, and the creeping moral bond forming between killer and victim. These episodes mark a crucial turning point in Dexter’s evolution — blending emotional depth with shocking violence, and setting up one of the series’ most compelling arcs. Dark, haunting, and unexpectedly human, Season 5 continues to explore what happens when redemption and revenge blur into one. We would really appreciate that.
that as well.
That's right.
Donald, my good friend.
How are you feeling, buddy?
What do you think about these?
What are you feeling about,
before we get into the two episodes,
how are you feeling about the direction
of the season so far?
I'm fascinated by the direction of the season so far.
It's definitely a new wrinkle to entertain
this idea of Dexter is sort of happening upon
and, you know,
freeing somebody from a terrible situation,
but also then opening.
up this new can of worms
not to mention
the sordid affairs
happening at the precinct
I'm still really engaged by this
and yeah
I'm really intrigued to see
what becomes of this
Lumen character
and this
you know
as of the very end
of this episode it seems like
there is a potential
you know partnership
of some sort forming
and I think that's really
fascinating
absolutely this is
definitely been an emotional ride so far
and throughout the first four episodes
and we really see Dexter
I would say for sure out of his element
as a fish out of waters
they would say in the film
TV world when it comes to
having to navigate between
trying to find some closure for
Rita's death which I don't know if he's ever
going to find of course you know we hope
that he can get some semblance
of self-healing of course so he can
move on with his life he's going to
have to, you know, in order to be able to raise his son in the proper manner and get back to
doing his Dexter thing. It was really fascinating the way they showed when he took out Boyd,
he felt nothing. And I think that was the proper way to really execute on showing, of course
I use that word, it wasn't meant to be a pun, but it was the proper way to execute on the way
the character was meant to, like, in the past before he even, like,
Rita started making him feel human and Aster and Cody and now Harrison,
getting him to feel human and emotions and all that.
I think it's such an interesting emotional arc that this character has gone through
throughout the series to now do a Dexter thing, doing the Dark Passenger,
which used to be his bread and butter, he feels nothing now
because it's like what is life without Rita and the kids?
And it's just such a fascinating dichotomy in contrast to life without them.
So I think the show just does a great job of really just showing like the two,
the differences between what life used to be for, Dexter and what life is now without them
and how he needs to not move on with his life, but really work on self-healing.
And hopefully at some point in time, too, we can get Cody and Astor.
back in his life as well.
Spin-off.
Yes, the Cody and Hester spin-off.
I want to see Haster finally get that iPod.
Yeah, but this is really a fascinating journey so far through these four episodes.
I'm rather enjoying it.
It's very tough to follow that season four just with the Trinity.
That was some of the most magnificent TV I've ever seen in my life, to be quite honest.
But I'm rather enjoying this so far.
There's so many different storylines, character exploration,
when we're going right now from Quinn to Deborah,
that storyline with the two of them even together,
Angel and his wife, the mistrust there,
the stuff with IA, there's a lot of different plot lines.
Of course, the main one that is the most fascinating.
At least for me, I'm not going to speak for John,
is with Julia Stiles' character Lumen and Dexter.
I think that is a fascinating thing
because if we really do end up going the love route,
Which, whether they do or don't, if they do, as I was mentioning during the reaction, the fact that she already knows he has a dark passenger and she saw it in person, I think lays a foundation for trust and communication, whereas, yes, what he had with Rita was so freaking special and there's not going to be anything that can replace it ever.
She was a real one.
But the fact that this woman, the fact, yes, of course, the fact that this woman.
knows what he is and what he's done and that he is taking out the trash i think would go a long
way in their relationship of like building that trust that they already are starting to have a
rapport in that sense so yeah it lays an interesting foundation i think for the future between the
two of them oh yeah no 100 percent i mean i'm sure we'll talk more about it as we get into questions
and stuff like that but the just transition of like oh my god there's this girl here who's you know yeah
I'm imprisoned, you know, and watching him, yeah, come to her rescue inadvertently and then start
this whole cycle.
And it makes a lot of sense once you get to the end of the episode.
She's like, this is not the first time this happened to me.
You know, you're like, oh, my God, dude.
Yeah.
It's a very volatile potential bond of some kind, even if it's not like a full-on romantic bond.
It is a fascinating question.
For sure.
For sure, I would imagine there's going to be some trauma bonding possibly, but also to, are we going to get into a
exposition, or are we going to get into flashbacks or a combination of the two?
I'm very fascinated by you.
No more exposition for the rest of the season.
No more new info.
Assume her background or backstory, and then let's just get on with the show.
Yeah, that's going to make it's a bunch of interpretive mondages from here.
We are going to get into questions right now.
And as we mentioned at the start of the intro, if you become a royal reject, you can ask us
some questions to kind of guide and navigate our review here where we will shout you out.
So we are going to get started here with.
Is that the one we are starting with, or are we starting with the other one?
I couldn't tell because you highlighted one.
Oh, oh, we can start with, let's start with Emma.
I think that's a good place to start.
Emma!
Yeah, it's not a Dexter review without Emma.
Thank you so much, Emma.
What do you think?
Wait, wait, wait, let's get a clean clap.
Clean clap for Emma.
Okay, but let's actually get a clean clap.
All right.
Sorry, that's for prayer.
Okay, so for Emma, what do you think about?
Lumen?
Do you think she'll be a larger part of the story and stick around for a while?
Do you think she'll keep Dexter's secret?
And maybe finally, Dexter will have someone who understands him that he won't have to kill.
Hope you guys are enjoying the season.
Thank you, Emma.
The reason we're enjoying the season is because we know.
we have your questions to come to
at the end of each review.
Otherwise, it wouldn't be as enjoyable.
I think that Lumen is done after this episode
we're going to ever see her again.
And Dexter probably took her out in between episodes
and she was not trustful in any way.
And yeah, this was all just a subversion of expectations.
I think Ryan...
Ryan Johnson directed the next episode.
So, you know, he went astray from the original storyline
that they were going with.
course. I believe.
Jay J.J. Abrams is a lens for a guy and Ryan Johnson is the subverting expectations.
Yes. I believe that Lumen is going to play a very large part of this, at least this season.
Maybe we'll see about the following seasons. And just for reasons I mentioned earlier,
I would imagine there's going to be some trauma bonding. We're going to learn a lot about her backstory.
We already saw that letter. We saw that. We heard that reveal that Lumen said to us about this isn't the first type.
happens.
I'm like,
what?
I want to
know more
about that
as messed up
as that's
going to be
to hear
about I'm like
okay?
Yeah.
And yeah,
but I also
am excited
at the prospect
of,
I'm obsessed
so much with
Dexter and Reid.
I really feel
she humanized him.
And I also
feel like
as much as I
loved Rita as
well in that
she finally was
no longer a
pushover.
She found her
agency.
I really feel
like they
really
completed each other in a Jerry Maguire
type of way
in Renee Zellwigger
I'm just not remembering her name right now I was going to
say something clever wow
I know wow
I'm gonna look that shit up on IMDV and I'm not
gonna tell you I remember Renee Zellwiger
give me that okay fine
Dorothy
yes I got it Dorothy
thank you freaking guy I got it
Dorothy don't worry you got there don't worry
I got there I got there
though I'm missing my pen somewhere but
i got there anyways i really feel what they had was so special but i think there was clearly a lack
of sometimes communication but a little bit of trust in the area if she didn't know about his
dark passenger whereas julia styles is lumen will have that knowledge so i think that's going
to add a different layer and complexity to and depth as well to the relationship and i'm very
fascinated by the prospect of that so i'm looking forward to seeing that i also think that michael seahall
is such a damn good actor as well as julius styles i think they have a very natural chemistry with
each other i like the way that dexter really allowed the rapport and trust to build up in that
episode the way he brought her out to the swamp was like what's he doing right now and then showing her
like this is what boyd had planned for you here's the knife like and he also poured his heart and
soul on such a soft manner in terms of his tone and he was you could tell how genuine and organic that
dexter was being and like granted if we were not the audience and we didn't get to see all these
things like i truly would have bought and believe that but i'm also a very optimistic and easygoing
person so maybe i i wouldn't survive who knows but i really believed dexter in that moment even if i
had not seen everything we had seen of dexter and known him the way we know him so i'm excited to see
the larger grand scale of things
to come when it comes to Lumen and Dexter
possibly the relationship because I'm shipping
them right now, John. But we'll see. John,
how do you feel? What do you think? Is Lumen
done after this episode? Is she being Ryan Johnson?
Definitely is.
Pack it up. We're done here. Yes.
It's a four episode season of TV.
Yeah. I mean,
I'm very intrigued by Lumen
so far and I really like Julius Stiles
in things and I'm excited to see
her in this context and
I think it's really fun and
clever the way each
season has utilized its
guest star, each season has
presented, you know, the
role its guest star is here to fill.
Oftentimes, the major
guest star has been
something related to the darkness in
Dexter, and I think it's interesting that
her name is Lumen, which I think is,
you know, they mean, it's, they're units
of light. Lumen-esque.
Lumen's, yeah, it's units of light.
So, you know, it's just an
interesting thematic.
She's the light.
dark yeah potentially i mean it seems like she has also encountered a great great wealth of darkness
in her experience just from the glimpse that we've got here um but i think yeah i mean yeah beyond the
logic of like you know she's the major guest star her she's the special guest credited and
the titles and whatnot like yeah i think she is going to be a a big part of the story and
present dexter potentially with i don't know like i can see she said she's been through this before
So part of me is like, I could see this becoming both something that dips into revenge.
Like, I could see them, you know, seeking out who's done this to her before, but also seeking out other people.
I could see this becoming a partnership of sorts and a mentorship of sorts.
And I am, yeah, just really curious to see because obviously it took a while for them to develop trust in this episode.
and it's an uneasy trust where we leave off.
But I thought, yeah, that sort of like, you know,
culminative scene of like, this is what was going to happen to you.
This is where Boyd, you know, took all these girls that he had locked up
and you, you know, don't know that I didn't do this,
but you just have to trust me.
Yeah.
And, yeah, I think just the, you know,
settling of the motive there was really fascinating to watch.
And, I mean, Julia Stiles, she's so feral and, you know,
tragic in these episodes.
It's very striking.
So, yeah, I'm really excited to see what, you know, her character amounts to.
I think she will keep the secret at least for now.
I don't know.
I think that'll be a big up and down and back and forth.
I can only imagine that their ideological alignments are going to be tested heavily.
And I can only imagine that the logic versus emotion will come into it because, you know,
they are in a position I could imagine.
to empower each other in certain ways certainly Dexter to potentially empower her to you know act as you know the exterminator of some of these you know darker entities that walk among us but I could also see her wanting you know we watch Dexter butt up against the coat of Harry and you know argue with that and try to adapt it for himself and I can only imagine that's probably going to have in here and that's probably going to lead to some conflict down the line for sure don't
ultimately know. I guess I've been conditioned to believe that we will have each guest star for
one season and they'll probably die by the end. But I don't know. And I hope that this maybe is
different or at least, you know, that along the way it surprises me. And again, I know a lot of people
who really do love this season also. So I'm really, really excited. Maybe this time we will
subvert expectations with that and she will get to stay on. Also, I will imagine that if Dexter
does teach her about the code of Harry and there is a mentorship role,
and possibly a love affair as well.
He's going to have some apprehension
because of what happened,
not only with Biny and Lila,
and Miguel Prado,
which he tried,
also he tried going under the two-lige and wing
of the Trinity,
not to learn from him in terms of killing,
to learn from him to be a better family man, of course.
Just how to balance it out.
Yeah, of course.
But the point still stands, though,
when he tried getting close with other people,
there were ramifications and consequences.
So I think he's going to be,
he's going to be very careful with how he approaches this.
He's going to have Harry in his ear,
in his subconscious rather,
like giving him apprehend, giving him caution.
So that's going to be,
it's going to add a dramatic effect, I believe.
100%.
I'm very interested in seeing all that play out.
I would love to see him find someone who he understands and can resonate.
Of course.
Of course, we've been wanting that for so long.
Yeah.
So.
Very unique setup.
Yes.
Just like, F you lie.
First question he should ask her.
You don't like pyrotechnics, do you?
Because this girl Lila that I knew, she was really hot, but she was really into the fires.
He was very hot.
She liked fire.
She was fiery.
Anyways, thank you so much, Emma.
Emma.
For the question, we appreciate you.
You better continue to please ask us questions.
Absolutely.
Thank you so much.
All right. How about Vampire Toad next?
Quinn seems to have some theories about Dexter and Rita's death, poking around and trying to find something to connect him to Trinity.
How do you think this will affect Dexter's emotional state through the season?
Do you have thoughts of where Quinn's suspicions might lead the season?
That's a good one, Vampire Toad.
I think once Dexter finds out that he's on to him, it's definitely going to affect him.
it's definitely going to affect him
in a, I would say, emotional way
and he's not going to be able to be on his game
because his main focus right now
is going to be still Harrison
and, of course, Lumen.
So we are now tapping into something
that he's really trying to not forget Rita, of course.
You'll never forget Rio.
She's always going to be a part of him,
not only with Harry, or Harrison, rather,
but just that's his first love.
I would say, in terms of romance, and she humanized him, as I pointed out earlier.
But when you tap into something like that in a time where you're really trying to self-heal,
it puts you in a very emotional state.
So when he finds out that Quinn is trying to come after him in a way like that,
it's probably going to affect him in a very negative and emotional way.
And he's not, as I just pointed out, he's not going to be.
thinking clearly and logically so it's going to be crazy to see at the same point
Quinn is also going to be in a relationship with his sister so there's that aspect we got
to think about too how is his girlfriend gonna or his woman that he is sleeping with
whether they have a label or not how is Deb going to be reacting when she finds out so
wait I'm sleeping with you and you're investigating my brother okay yeah uh
Yeah, that it adds a very conflicting and dramatic dynamic.
So I'm totally interested and I can't wait.
And then you got the fact that La Gorta keeps telling him to stop investigating this.
And my gut instinct, and I would imagine Johns as well, this time I will talk for him.
I would imagine that he's not going to let this go.
After everything he's been through with Dexter, especially from last season, he's just not.
On top of the fact that he's not going to let this go from the fact that the things that he went through with Dexter last season, the look that Jonah, is that the Trinity's son's name?
Yeah.
He's a cop.
He's got instincts.
And the fact that he made the look like, how do you know this guy?
How do you know Kyle Butler?
Like, he's not letting you go.
So we'll see what happens.
What do you think, Johnald?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, I think he's certainly fixated on this.
And I think it's fun conflict.
like obviously you know you want everybody to get along and you don't want dexter get caught but it is fun conflict and i think it is interesting that that role in the department is kind of reserved for people who pick up on dexter's weird shifty vibes and get real suspicious about him um yeah i mean i definitely foresee this being a thorn in dexter's side throughout the season and i think it's a good sign that he should try and make nice with whatever guy gets that particular detective slot in the
precinct that dokes had and now quinn has
because these are the guys you keep sniffing
them out um but
yeah i i think that that
is a nice bit
of tension and uh sure
you know there's a lot of stuff
like the more the show goes on the more there's that
acknowledgement of like oh my god there's so much happening and there's so much
to juggle and things get sloppy when you're
dealing with so many things at once and in hindsight i'm like damn dude
if dexter had just been a little more chill around queen
things might be a little more
cooled down right now
if he would have just went to the Miami
Dolphins game
and taken his offer on that
he would let everything go
it's like dude you're paying my sister right now
just let me be right now
let me mourn over my wife
I mean it's definitely more conflict he doesn't need
and I'm sure it's going to complicate things
and I like the tension of it
in terms of both the obvious
which is like oh it's the cat and mouse game
where they're going to find extra out
but also yeah the kind of
shuffling around of like he's got the FBI guy to work around and then he's got LaGuerre
who's encouraging him to not bark down you know follow down this lead because of various other
you know how flimsy it is and various other inter you know office politics and stuff like that
I could see Lumen's character taking Quinn out to the woods somewhere and like exploding a
house on him or something like that yeah so just repeat the same storyline from Lila and dokes
we'll see what happens it's definitely
the suspense and tension
is it's looming
I did not mean to actually say that
but it is looming on the horizon
I would say suspicions
I don't know exactly where they're going to lead us
obviously but I think it's going to be toward
more dramatic tension
yes the best kind
yes
absolutely all right thank you vampire toad
appreciate you
Tara
hey guys
hi Tara
Tara.
Tara.
It's not Tara, Tara.
Tara.
No question today.
I just wanted to say hi.
Hi again, Tara.
I've only seen Dexter once before this viewing and only remembering, only remember a couple of things.
Last season, I only remembered that John Lithgow was a guest star, and I remembered what happened with Rita.
Everything okay with you?
Yeah.
Okay.
I saw my peripheral.
I'm like, John's going crazy.
What did I do?
Yes.
And what happened with Rita?
I hope you are doing okay.
To be honest, Tara, we have not recovered.
But we appreciate you, though.
You are helping in the self-healing journey.
You and all the other super royal rejects, rather.
I know how much you liked her.
I remember Andrews saying,
someone remembered what I said?
I appreciate this.
I remember Andrews saying something during season four episodes five through eight
about the possible consequences of Dexter,
not taking out Trinity sooner and felt so badly.
I read that Julie Benz was actually surprised and really liked playing rea.
Oh, snap.
Yeah, I got to imagine when Julie Benz got that.
I think we talked about that too when she got the call.
First and foremost, besides her being one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen,
she's a very talented actress.
And she strikes me as someone who comes across as a team-oriented player in regards to being part of a cast.
an ensemble, as you would say.
So I'm sure when they came to her, it's like,
I get it for dramatic effects
and why this will push the story forward
and where Dexter's got to go to a deep, dark place
where he's never really been,
even though he's been in deep dark places before,
but this takes it to a whole new level.
I get it.
I just feel so sad because I love working with y'all.
I love this character.
It really means a lot to me.
But if this is what's best for the show,
I'm sure she said,
I'm a little game.
I will do it because you guys and this show and this character means a lot.
I'm sure that was most likely her reaction to finding out the news on top of.
I'm sure it was an even kill of both those things.
Yeah, I mean, I appreciate the love and I appreciate you checking in on us.
And yeah, I mean, you know, that's got to be tough for any actor.
And I know that I think Eric King kind of expressed a similar, yeah, kind of sentiment of like, oh, shit, you know, like this is how I'm going out.
No, you know what he said when they told him that said, surprise, motherfucker.
And then they told him.
Yeah, exactly.
I mean, yeah, this is a surprise.
And, you know, it really showed.
I'm glad that at least, I mean, I'm sad that she had to leave and I'm sad that that's kind of a, you know, rude awakening when you realize.
that you're the character getting the acts this season.
But, you know, it did really seem like she, you know,
brought a lot of wonderful life and vibrance to the role,
even when Rita was in dark, you know, harsh places.
So, yeah, season four is still kind of rocking my world
in a low-key kind of back-of-my mind sort of way.
At a Thor kind of way?
As we traverse into season five.
But, yeah, the possible consequences of Dexter not taking out Trinity sooner.
Like, that is a huge theme of the season.
And, yeah, like, time is of the essence.
And especially with Trinity, like, how much could have been, you know, avoided and saved had he not drawn this out so much.
And, yeah, granted, past a certain point, a lot of other shit got in the way.
But there was a point at which shit wasn't getting in the way that we couldn't solve this during.
And we didn't.
And that was the cost.
and it still hurts.
It's really,
it's so striking.
Right, right.
As a season ending,
as a punctuation,
as a send-off for a character,
is so freaking striking.
And I do really appreciate
that each season seems to be
in reaction to what came before.
Yeah.
I'm glad that they carry her on,
at least to some extent here.
Yeah, definitely.
Thank you, Tara, for the question.
We appreciate you.
Oh, yeah.
All right, from Jay Rushden.
What up, Jay?
What a do?
Who and Dexter got
The best fashion clothes.
Well, first of all, my favorite is Deb when she's not wearing any clothes.
That's number first and foremost.
I love her so much.
Out of the box answer.
Yes.
I would say probably Angel or Vince.
Angel?
Angel?
My genuine answer would probably be Angel.
I would say Angel then.
He's just so sharp.
He's just so crisp.
Yes.
I think Musuka has a very fun wardrobe.
I like this collection of.
That's why I picked those two.
I don't think you can go wrong with either of the two, but probably Angel.
But those are the one and two for me.
I mean, friggin Liguerta's got drips for days.
I think her fashion is really great.
I also think...
Quinn's got some cool.
I was going to say Quinn doesn't always have the flashiest clothes or whatever, but he has swag.
Like, Quinn, just as a guy, has swag for days.
So I think, yeah, in terms of like fashion clothes, it's really too, like, the hat with Batista, the goateeat.
There's so much going on there.
I think, yeah, like, logically.
speaking, I would say Angel.
For funsies, I would say Masuka.
I think
well, I guess
and swag. Logically speaking, I would
say Angel and LaGuertha can kind
of battle it out of the top because they both got really
good drips. And then yeah, Masuka
for fun. And then after that, I would
say, run her up is
freaking Quinn because he's just so, yeah.
And then, and no clothes is definitely
Deb.
Of course.
I had to say it again.
Of course. Of course.
Anyways, let us go in the comments.
Who do you guys think has the best fashion on Dexter?
I will tell you this.
I loved what Dexter pulled out for the...
You know how normally what he wears when he does his Dexter thing?
I love what he wore when he had to improvise with Boyd with the grill stuff.
That was great.
That might have been my favorite thing, the grill apron.
Yeah, it was very funny.
I love that.
It was like really thinking outside the box when it came to the wardrobe on that one.
for the wardrobe department.
That was so much fun.
Good little tripster there.
Yeah, thanks, Jay, for the question.
We appreciate you.
All right, final thing here.
It is a trivia from Vampire Toad again.
Thank you, Vampire Toad.
We appreciate it.
Dexter, fun fact.
Michael C. Hall has been in multiple Broadway productions,
including Cabaret as MC, Hedwig.
I would kill to see him as the NCH as Headwig.
And was the lead in David Bowie's,
Off-Broadway musical, Lazarus.
What?
David passed shortly after its start in 2015.
Michael also has a great band called Princess Goes, FCA Princess Goes to the Butterfly Museum.
He is not the only one.
Calling back to Season 1, the reason I began Dexter initially, Star Killer himself, Sam Whitwer.
He has an amazing band also called The Crash Tones, wherein all the members are imaginary
and it's just him.
It's an imaginary band, as he calls it.
The weird theater nerd folks often make some of the best music.
Yeah, I would say I'd want to go see The Crash Duns, be like, Sam, you're playing with a bunch of Harvey's around.
Where's Jimmy Stewart and the Rabbit?
I was going to say, let's get some classic cinema references in this bitch.
I got you.
I got you.
I'm sure nobody expected me to pull out Harvey.
I saw that movie ninth grade in theater class.
I was like, I really like this.
Why does Jimmy Stewart hate this movie in this role?
Oh, does he?
He's great.
And the movie is great.
I'm surprised he didn't like this one.
It's a well, I thought it was a well-liked cinema classic.
It is a well-like cinema classic, but for some reason, from what I remember, and this is my 2002 memory.
I remember reading in 2002 when I did the trivia back then to see, like, I really enjoyed this.
Let me check out the trivia.
It said Jimmy Stewart did not like making this movie or did not like the movie.
or did not like the movie
didn't think it came out well
I was like
I liked it
but you know
it's all subjective
so there's nothing wrong with him
sing he didn't enjoy it
but he was great in it
and I thought the movie was great
yeah I saw recently a video
on the internet of Michael C
it just got served into my algorithm
of him I don't remember what
I got to watch some of his music
I don't know if his Starman or something
I saw him performing on stage
and like I couldn't tell
if it was like a karaoke or a
a band situation, but he was belting, and I was like, oh, shit, that's right.
Because I think I had vaguely known this, but I would kill, like, the more I discover.
You would kill to see Michael Seahaw?
I mean, yeah, like, I would kill to see Dexter.
Yeah, yeah.
Like, this is my main introduction to him, but I have always kind of had this idea, like,
I think I knew that he was a theater actor to a degree, but I didn't know he had like
pipes like that.
So, like, I would kill to see him as the emceeing cabaret.
I would kill to see him do Headwig and the Angry Inch.
And I didn't even realize that there was, yeah, like a David Bowie Lazarus musical.
And I'm fascinated to learn more about that and to check out the bands too.
I think Michael C. Hall and Sam Whitworth should play together.
That would be cool.
I wonder if they probably have or I don't know, cross paths in a musical fashion at some point.
But yeah, the weird theater nerd folks are holding it down.
And yeah, I'm excited to check out some more of their actual band stuff as well as, again,
the theatrical musical stuff.
I'd be down to watch him.
He's got pipes, man.
He can belt.
Oh, for sure.
He's so freaking versatile.
I'm not surprised by this.
So great stuff.
I'm really enjoying season five.
A good amount or a great amount of you.
I would even venture to say is it season four.
It's hard to say right now.
I wouldn't go that far, but I'm still really enjoying it is what I will say.
I agree.
And I will say this.
I can't wait to see what happens next.
Absolutely.
Any final thoughts?
Jonizio, Mabritzio, Fabrizio,
my brother from another mother.
I'm just, I'm really enjoying this so far.
I really am enjoying both the Dexter storyline
and this whole Santomerte thing
that's been going on with the precinct
and the just web of, you know,
sort of details and affairs that is ongoing.
And, yeah, that guy who played Boyd was, you know,
for like a few episodes of a recurring guest role.
Despicable guy in a lot of ways,
but a fascinating character well played by yet another sort of character actor guy and some nice shots
definitely good you know flourishes throughout stylistically i'm loving this and i can't wait for more
yeah curious too really quick what's going to happen with the ia guy it seemed like at least how i was
interpreting it he was asking for fallacio from her and then it's like how is angel going to react
him because we saw what happened when a guy just mentioned words about his wife it's like
Like now if a guy's asking for something from him, let's see what he did.
I'm just curious.
So anyways, that's going to do it for this slew of episodes.
We appreciate it if you have joined us for this long.
