Starting point is 00:01:30 You ready? He always calls me by the wrong name on purpose. Let's do zombies. Ladies and gentlemen, we just watched zombies. Oh, my God, they got a second one. And they counter a group of werewolves. We read the spoiler. Cool.
Starting point is 00:01:51 Oh, I want to watch that. The whirls are. probably going to be like, we're werewolves. That's several for day. R. Anyway, you guys, we watched to see zombies. This coming of age, science fiction
Starting point is 00:02:07 drama, not drama, musical movie. That was a fun movie. This is going to be a time. Loved it. That, yes. It's the first song. So shut up, get out of my lane, and let me do it.
Starting point is 00:02:23 This is my time. This is, it's going to be our time. Something like that. Something like that. Let me have it. Let me have it. All right. You can have.
Starting point is 00:02:32 You don't get much these days. Yeah, I really don't. Yeah. I thought that was a delightful experience. It's so good. This is so much fun. This was a really, at first I was thinking, am I going to be disappointed with this movie? Because when they set up the zombies, I'm like, they just seemed like human beings.
Starting point is 00:02:46 Right. It didn't seem like, how are they, they don't seem like zombie at all. But then I got lost into the weird world that they have, this like, stepford wives meets like this story of like racism inequality and and and uh the weird commentary about like hey you know but if they're like talented sports players we tend to like them and accept them once they can win some sport games for us it's like really fascinating thing to see in this disney movie but beyond that it was also like a really fun movie and i love the romance between them i thought they had great chemistry oh they did they really did a wonderful
Starting point is 00:03:25 full chemistry. I really like the two main characters a lot. That was a really fun movie. I think so too. I think there's like a big thing that they're kind of, I don't know, highlighting where it's like hide anything that's weird, especially when you're like in high school or if your parents don't accept it, then you're not going to do it. You better hide this thing from other people. And it's sort of a story about coming into your own and standing up for what you truly believe in and having your own moral code that is not set by your parents or your peers. And that's actually really hard to do in high school. So I love that it took us back to
Starting point is 00:03:58 the little girl because children don't, when you watch your own, they don't have any prejudices. Like, they're just like they don't care what you look like, how you act, what your background is. They're just like, hey, how's it going? Are you nice? Are you cool? Cool. Let's hang. So I love that they established
Starting point is 00:04:15 that with the little girl as she gets up in cheers and they realize we all have to do it together. And that was, that was nice. And the fact I did not see it coming when they were going to bring bucky back on because at first i was like fits his character to be like you know deuses um but i'm glad that it was that it was the little girl it had to take the little girl because she is not anywhere near his world to could to take him out of it to go the best cheerleader i ever saw to like work him up and have him go back in there and i just thought that was a really
Starting point is 00:04:46 sort of heartwarming story i really enjoyed it yeah didn't expect it to come around with the whole cheerleading angle i did not that was the last thing i expected to come through and right I kind of like how it felt like it was sort of a bizarre, ironic turn that it had. Like, it wasn't a predictable thing that they would land on a big cheerleading thing that could unite them. And so I like the unexpected avenue that that storyline. Yeah. That was really refreshing. And, yeah, I mean, to your point about, like, how people, this is a bit being like a self-acceptance story, that's hard at any age.
Starting point is 00:05:19 And to, like, maintain that unless it, like, comes, you know, instinctually to you, it doesn't come that way to it. It doesn't come that way to a lot of people. Right. I feel like in a school setting, you know, you are constantly, like you're there for many, many hours a day in, like, your own little society. Yes. There are bubbles. There's bubbles everywhere. So it's easier to feel like you have to fit in because I once heard, like before I entered high school, I remember I always stood out to me.
Starting point is 00:05:43 Some adult told me that once you go to high school, you realize everywhere is high school. But nothing's like high school when you're in high school. When you're in high school. Exactly. And it's like, and I understood that analogy. after my high school age because I was like, oh, yeah, I get it now because high school is kind of like a demonstration of a society. Yeah. Of like the society in your neck of the woods, at least.
Starting point is 00:06:02 So I really, I really like how this story does target that. And they do it with the, you know, like the blanket, though, of a very sweet film with great musical numbers. Again, these Disney Channel movies that we watch, they knock it out the park. Agreed. Yeah. And I was really endeared to the qualities that they had this, and this girl, I don't remember her name. but we made something we saw her in high school musical yes we did she's great small role in that very small and that came out after this and to see her here is like the lead i'm like she's got like star power
Starting point is 00:06:35 oh that's wild because that came out after zombies oh yeah duh yeah oh weird that she had that small of a part yeah it might have been like special because she was there for that small of a part she only had like one music number that whole time yeah she's definitely older in that show then she That's, yeah, that's true. It might have been, they might have been a special thing to highlight her. Yeah, but I thought she was a great lead. I thought the guy was a great lead, too. So good.
Starting point is 00:07:00 And they... Great chemistry. Also, like, I think for an art design, like, you kept pointing it out. Like, the way the colors were, like, there's a symmetrical tonality to it. And even their meals, like, when you would see it, they'd get the same thing, but it would be, like, an orange piece of weird pie and the cupcakes, always the same color. But there's a pink flower, and it all goes along with a whole color scheme, color scheme of the school. and their outfits. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Which I loved. I love it when production design goes like ham on the way that they want it to look, which is also a director decision if they want to go that route. And that means that they did. And that I love it because it's just so pleasing to the eye. I think there's a good, like, heightened society execution that they had. Like there's kind of a weird sheen that they put over everything. I thought it was a really pleasant film.
Starting point is 00:07:48 I would hope that as the franchise goes, that they do kind of, I mean, it's hard with a Disney thing to implement a little bit more zombie stuff. Yeah. Stuff that's, like, actually zombie-fied. It's really hard when you're a Disney channel thing, though. You got to keep a jeet. You got to, yeah. When, like, the DNA of zombies is, you know, you bite people.
Starting point is 00:08:06 They eat flesh. They die or they turn into a zombie. Right. So you're like, that's right at all. Yeah, you'd have to go a much darker path to pull it off. I feel like there's a way to get a little clever about it. And I think they can kind of zero in on the conversation a little. little bit more. But beyond that, yeah, I thought that was a surprise. Am I getting crazy? Did they
Starting point is 00:08:24 not kiss? No, they didn't kiss. Right? Which I have questions about the rules. I'm literally thinking in my brain like, did I miss it at the end? Because that's wild that we didn't see them kiss. So the rules about a kiss baffled me with it. Okay. And I was waiting for like, like, for a rating. No, no, no, no. Okay. Or the zombie in a human. Because if a zombie gets the juice on you. If the zombie like bites you, you turn into a zombie, right? That's like the general rule. Right. Why wouldn't that happen via a kiss then?
Starting point is 00:08:56 You're right. If you have the exchange of liquid from your mouth, yeah. Wouldn't that also a crate? I think it's because it has to be blood, right? They have to like get into your bloodstream? I think it has to, yeah. That's what I mean? There's going to be rules here.
Starting point is 00:09:13 You're right about that. Oh, holy tamale. Well, then what are they doing? They're just staying around holding hands hugging for years? Give me a break. This is never going to work. Without going mature, you can do other stuff. You know what?
Starting point is 00:09:27 Get out of here. Okay? I don't want to hear. I'm sad now because I'm like, are we not going to see him kiss in the next one? Come on now. I know. We want to see him kiss. Must him make out full time.
Starting point is 00:09:37 For sure, obviously. And they're good-looking people. Still doing like helicopter tongue. We don't need anything intense. Just like. What's a helicopter time? Like, it's like too much. It's like going round and round and out.
Starting point is 00:09:51 poking and it's just it's no no who are these people you kiss maybe him I don't that's what I'm telling him don't do that I don't kiss like that he's trying to play it off like I don't do the helicopter I'm like he probably does the helicopter I don't mean look at his face he's like put on the dumbfounded face and act like I don't do
Starting point is 00:10:07 the helicopter tongue what is the helicopter it's just like it's too much we don't need that I just want to see a nice little romantic kiss that's all that's all I wanted I know fine forget it
Starting point is 00:10:23 turn it off my wife doesn't kiss me ladies gentlemen what did you think about the zombies movie I loved it I think you guys to recommend you that was a pleasant delight
Starting point is 00:10:31 I gotta get Tara out of here she's running late for something and leave it like check out Tara's campaign we'll see you guys soon bye
