More on them in just a bit.
If you're joining us right about now, the bumper is going to roll and we'll do the thing.
We'll do it.
Okay.
All right.
All right.
Well, that happened.
That sure happened.
This is episode five.
We only have three more episodes.
So I'm like, dude, what if they really do kill off Roo?
And then we're just in like, I don't know, a show with Maddie and our main guy and the strippers for three episodes.
I don't know.
Yes.
They won't do that.
But like, this is wild.
I am fascinated.
I mean, it all depends on whether or not that finale that has since been picked up as having been listed as a season finale and on a series finale.
and a series finale.
Really?
So they say,
that's word on the street,
nobody knows,
but apparently
somewhere in the HBO workings,
they listed it as a season finale.
So there is at least a chance
that this will continue.
Well, well, well.
And we'll be here for another eight Sundays
in like six years from now.
Yeah, exactly.
In four years.
Okay, all right.
But if you've made it to this point,
the video gang,
if you could start off
by leaving us a little bit of a light.
That would be super duper helpful.
That's how you can, you know, blow up our, you know, Maddie and Cassie operation here.
Also, if you would like, you can subscribe to the channel.

And when you do, ring the bell.

Yes, indeed.
Next week.
Also, big thank you to our editing team.
uh,
over a prepper today for chopping these highlights together.
It is quite a task.
And we very much appreciate them putting themselves through it on the weekly,
white knuckling it to avoid the copyright and age restriction gods.
Uh,
and, uh,
also if you want to get the full and complete euphoria experience alongside Tara and myself,
see every morsel and moment of our reaction that does not make these highlights.
You can grab your own HBO max subscription and come on over to Patreon.com slash the real
rejects where there you can sync up with the time code and you know some blurry little guide sync
clipits to help you out there can't show you the whole show that's illegal but uh yeah you can sync up
with our experience be like it's in the you're in the room with us got a great community of people
over there and uh you get a little glimpse at our shooting schedule some of the videos uh you know
stuff that's not like breaking we're turn around right this minute the stuff you guys have
probably already seen you can ask us questions about any who indeed five episodes in terra
season three.
Yeah.
How are you feeling?
I am, I'm feeling good.
I, okay.
I thought this episode went by
a little bit faster
than I think the last episode.
I'm liking it.
I'm still very surprised
at how different the characters are.
Like,
Nate is still just like,
what is going on with him?
He's the saddest boy.
He's a sad boy.
He's full on Cal now.
Totally.
Honestly.
He's gone full late stage
Cal.
I agree.
And I'm,
I'm still a little bit, and I said this before, yes, I'm still missing a little bit of the angst that the characters had.
I think Cassie is replacing what Kat used to give to the show.
I know, the cat's not here.
I like the, honestly, my favorite plot line is Maddie hooking up with our lead guy.
I don't, I forget his name.
Alamo, Alamo.
Maddie and Alamo, I'm mostly excited for that.
I think that's a really fun.
Their chemistry on screen off the page.
I love what they're doing.
It's,
uh,
I like that.
I think Alamo would give her so much trust and that Maddie is so in charge of the choices.
And I don't know that he's ever had a woman be in charge of the choices with him in,
in conjunction with Alamo before ever in his life.
And I love that.
Um,
and I'm a little scared to see if Rue's dead.
A little bit.
I'm liking it though.
I'm loving.
Oh, yeah.
and forgot about Jules,
but I love the, you know,
we're only, in all these episodes,
we literally see Jules being wrapped up in plastic
like I've wrapped all last episode,
and now she's flirting with Rue,
but we don't even get to see them juice,
which to me, a huge letdown.
When she's like, if you want to kiss me, get up,
take me, call me yours.
And I'm like, great, let's cut to now,
Rue and Jules, like Rue gets up,
Like, I get there leaving us hanging on a thread, but, like, if I don't get to see it, I'm sort of, like, a little mad about it.
Yeah.
Like, I wanted to see that.
She explained the whole thing.
And I'm like, okay, fun.
Now we get to.
And it just cuts to that guy, which I get.
And that, it's a good scene.
But I wish we saw more of Jules.
Yeah.
It's really interesting the way that that stuff is proceeding in this season as a whole.
and it's like if this is a final,
like I'm still, I guess that's the remaining question mark.
It's like the further this season has gone,
the more I'm like, okay, I get what you're doing
and it appeals to me so I can get on board with it.
You know, I like this more than some euphoria of viewers seem to.
Yes.
But there are certain things about it that, yeah,
I'm like, if this is a final season,
I kind of am a little more,
I don't know what the word is.
is like I'm a little less confident in like what the vision is overall for certain characters if this is a final season.
And especially that applies to the smaller characters or the characters who have become small characters of this season like Jules.
Because last week we had that whole thing with the painting, which was like a very specific.
It felt like a very notable emotional moment for Jules.
We never went back to it.
And a kink in the relationship between Jules and Lexi.
and even the articulation of that, looking back, especially,
I'm like, you know, there's a lot there
because, you know, we talked about how that's like,
oh, that's a whole like, you know,
kind of miscommunicated opportunity.
But even looking back, I'm like, I don't know,
Jules, I feel like could have also done a lot in that.
Like, they both could have done more in that situation.
Lexi could have been like, hey,
don't make it anything explicit because this is network telly.
But I feel like Jules at the same time,
you could be like, if you know that you're getting,
your painting on network telly for a show,
you could easily look up.
on it. You probably would, yeah.
Like, I don't know.
It's, that was like a weirdly articulated plot line if we're never going to return to that.
Agreed. It was a little bit of weird writing.
I was like, this feels like a significant moment between Lexi and Jules.
And now I'm curious as to like, wait a minute, though.
Why did it turn out like this? And whose fault is that?
And then we jump here. And it's like, okay, so we have this interesting moment between Jules and Rue.
That whole like, you know, if you want me, come take me.
You know.
Right.
And I like that.
that, you know, because every time we have, it does feel like this weird afterthought.
It does.
We finally got there and then I went, well, let us see it.
Let us get the joy of that, yeah.
And I mean, there is something, I guess it would have been nice to have something there
because they make the point.
She's talking about Angel, right?
She's like, oh, you know, we had this relationship and we would go back forth and throw
stuff at each other and then, you know, I had to eventually take her off to rehab.
And like that whole thing of Jules being like, I don't believe that you have.
this kind of do you have and i'm like yeah that's a thing about rue that we kind of know about we're like
we've seen her have entanglements with people we don't really see rue get intimate
correct involved with people she's always yeah and i think that there's something interesting to
explore there and it's clear that they thought about it enough to introduce the idea right but then yeah
you cut back to the other half of what's going it's weird like friends of the reject nation starting
something new sounds exciting same time it can be terrifying when real rejects because
came more than videos, like our merch shop, for example, I kept thinking, what if no one buys?

If this was a season that had like full on Jules plot lines, I could have seen the stuff
that happened with her spanning this whole episode.
We have half of it maybe that involves Rue and the other half that involves Sam Trammell
or the guy.
Right.
And that must.
moment, you know, where he, you know, the chastises her for Rue's boxer shorts.
Exactly.
You know, and it's like, well, I have a family.
Yeah.
It's a harsh moment.
I feel bad for Jules in this season, but I also feel like Jules is a character who's
kind of like relegated to these interesting.
Like, I don't, I like the slices of life that they are, even if they are sometimes harsh.
But I'm also like, okay, are we just kind of lyrically lacing these in just to have her
here and to, you know, add another facet to the story, even if it's not of great, like,
I don't know, it's, it's kind of like the expanding status quo of jewels, but it doesn't really feel
like it has like a specific thing. I can't tell what the payoffs are supposed to be. Yeah,
I mean, either. Or what the... She's just in there. I'm just like, cool. She's in this situation. Interesting.
Yeah. I don't know where it's going to go. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And the art school stuff is like,
cool, interesting. And her, this opportunity.
with Lexi, interesting.
Right.
But also, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm curious about the totality of that
as of a season like this.
And like Lexi seemed like, again,
a thread that would, you know,
proceed through the season in a stronger way.
I mean, she is kind of sort of wallpaper.
I agree.
Whatever we traverse through LA nights,
she's there,
but she's seldom like the point.
Ever.
Yeah.
And we thought maybe,
remember we mentioned that in the first episode,
we're like, oh, there she is.
Second one, maybe it'll grow.
maybe it'll grow. We keep saying that.
Now I'm just like, I don't think it'll grow
with her or Jules. I honestly
I don't. I'm not expecting
huge payoffs there. Or
with Nate either. I mean, he's kind of
wallpaper now too. He's just sitting
around me like, yay, dirty grand.
Let's order more DoorDash and get wasted.
And then of course, you know,
yes, the guy's chasing after him now
and we kind of still don't know fully where
that was ended or where he
is.
It's fascinating though. I mean, like it is
funny. That's fun. Yeah, it's like, I like all the stuff that they're doing. I feel like,
you know, we've started off, you know, I've kind of taken us off road into some gripes,
but like, by and large, like, I am enjoying a lot of the stuff that they're doing.
Yeah, like with Nate, fun time. I heard it said that like, and I don't know if this is true at all,
it's one of those like floating around rumors, because there's all these rumors about who likes who on
the cast and who wanted to return and why and how. And there is it, there's words said that
he wanted to maybe not be so deranged this season.
And I could...
That he made that choice.
I could imagine that being possible.
And I think it's funny that they've kind of taken him down this opposite path where now he is
sort of pathetic because, yeah, like, it seems as though they've gone with the choice that he
very much peaked in high school.
He is in that situation that Maddie was describing to Cassie, where he's like, he was a big
fish in a small pond.
And now he's like just an average fish in the vast ocean filled with...
much larger fish.
So, yeah, I mean, it's been funny and kind of amusing to watch.
And, and, you know, it's painful what he goes through.
But, like, you know, we've seen him do such terrible things that part of you was like, well, cosmically speaking, you know, you've had some of this stuff coming.
But then again, some of this stuff is quite extreme.
I mean, you know, he's got his toe freshly ripped back off, which was bonks.
Then his ring finger, like part of me feels like he's going to end the season as a torporal.
or so.
Like that Jennifer Lynch movie
about the girl in the box with no arms or legs.
That's going to be Nate at the end.
Totally.
They're going to bury him up to his neck in a field of those flowers.
Which very much feels again like the
boys' territory.
It did.
Yeah.
The freaking whole Cassie, it's interesting
that Cassie is yeah, just like kind of giving him
an allowance even though she's moved
out and it's kind of like on her own now.
And you know, obviously
Maddie's encouraging her to
to get out.
I mean, like, as crazy as the opening montage begins, very striking.
I mean, like, that feat, symmetrical feet bit is so shameless.
And yet, like, you almost forget what you're looking at.
And it's got this gauzy pink and it's all symmetrical.
And it's, but yeah, to go from that into, like, a montage of just like all the day-to-day stuff that, like, cam models must be doing, you know, recording these clippets and ASMR things.
and then to segue into this giantess fantasy was very fun.
It was.
It was.
The Godzilla aspect of it was fun.
Yeah.
The like attack of the 50 foot woman thing.
Yeah.
I think is a real like again, as a film fan, as a fan of old, you know,
sci-fi monster movies, I think that's really charming and a good use of, you know,
it's like people have ragged on this season and the show as a whole.
Anything Sam Levinson gets kind of ragged for being very horny.
Yeah.
and nudity-centric.
And so, you know, there's some audacious nudity in that sequence
that I guess Sidney's Rini was down for.
I'm fascinated by what she chooses to do on this show.
Totally, me too.
Because it's not all flattering and, like, you know, again,
some of the more babyish aspects are a little unsettling.
Totally.
But I think for as much as they rag on this for being over-sexed,
I thought that the segue into that fantasy was like a fun, creative, like,
oh, like, that's not, the sex aspect isn't like the only aspect or is it like...
No, there's an artistic aspect to it with the old school.
Like, you're like, you know, it's like kind of cheeky and it's funny and, you know, and they bothered.
Yeah, it's like they put in the effort and it's also on film and stuff.
So like there's an element of craft that you can appreciate.
I'm fascinated by Maddie too, you know?
Like Maddie.
That's my favorite right now.
Maddie and Alamo are my favorite, honestly, my favorite plotline.
I'm fascinated by that too because they're so fun to watch together.
And, uh, and, uh, and great chemistry.
Yeah. And I mean, you know, the fact that I feel like he's in control right now and she's
attracted to the money and the power he has, but I feel like once they get involved,
Maddie's going to be in charge.
I can see it.
And he, I don't think he's going to be bothered by it. And I think I feel like she might just like
take. And I'm very excited for that. I'm, I'm, I'm just.
excited to see what they do together
and I haven't
Season one I felt excited by like
a lot of the stuff what's going on
this season not as much
but that plot line for me makes you feel
a little bit old school I get that old school
feeling where I'm like oh my God what's gonna happen
here which I really I like I think it's fun
I do too and I mean the way they shot them
in that scene you know those closeups and stuff
it is interesting because as much as you're like
oh god no don't get involved with Alamo part of me
is like I don't know I almost
feel like I'm in a separate little side world when they're talking.
Right?
Like you feel safer with Maddie and Alamo, where you just go,
Maddie can maybe handle it.
Yeah, I'm like,
Maddie will probably be fine.
Like, I think Maddie is smart enough and like sharp enough to,
to not get herself into the business end of some trouble in this scenario.
And granted,
I'm sure there's stuff that we're going to see that will probably challenge her,
you know, moral boundaries or whatever.
But, but yeah, to watch, I like the idea that like, okay,
this guy is clearly like, you know,
juiced up by the fact that they both, you know,
vibrate on a similar capitalistic level.
And, you know, they're both hustlers.
And, you know, they're in similar business and stuff.
Like, it's wild and wacky.
And we know the Alamo is certainly responsible
for some pretty terrible stuff,
but also is fascinating and it's fun, you know.
Like when they had the conversation,
you could tell that they were both equally excited
to be sitting across from each other going,
okay, but this and this.
and this oh okay let's go like i was like oh my god this is a that's such a fun plot line for me
yeah like i love it oh god i love it i you know and of course i wish that lexie was in it more maybe
nate but not so much i kind of missed the angsty nate i don't know that someone from high
school switching to yes they do become like he you you grow up you become married own a house and
now he's failing in his business but i'm like he is changing
changed quite a lot.
I do miss the angstine eight, but it's fine.
I'm fine with where that character is gone, because I just go, yeah, this makes sense.
Like, he is, he's already been beat up.
He's had his toe taken away.
He would probably just be getting drunk at home and ordering Dorash and be like, if this
bitch is going to pay my bell, is fine.
And I wish Jules was in it more.
But that's my only thing.
Otherwise, it's fun.
They're like in little tone portraits.
And I'm trying to figure out if by the end of the.
season that'll feel like a good thing or a or something I wanted more out of because yeah it's like
now we come back to Nate and again it's a tone portrait of just like he's pitifully filled up
the house with just door dashes and is probably not doing much and is yeah and is on the phone
with Maddie trying to take some part in empowering her success even though what's he doing
you know really and and then yeah getting just kind of years worth of karma dealt out through
all these different beatings and stuff which like again
Yeah, it is amusing.
But it is just like you cut back in for a tone portrait.
And we've had...
Where are we going?
It's because like the more we go for this season, it seems like Rue and Cassie are sort
of like the two main plot, A, B plot catalysts.
Yes.
And then Nate is sort of like on the side of Cassie's plot.
And then Maddie is now sort of hovering in between these two plots.
Yes.
And then you have Jules kind of over hereish, you know, in the sort of Rue, Maddie's.
Maddie Archipelago.
Yeah. Like just kind of over here.
Like another piece of puzzle, but it's not...
Because, yeah, Jules' tone portraits, too, for the most part.
Yeah.
You know, instead of like, here's a...
And that's the interesting part with, like, Nate, because you're like, you've been part
of the momentum of the season, but now at times you're not.
And, you know, again, we'll see how it goes.
But, but yeah, I mean, the Rue stuff is intense and gnarly.
And, I mean, the whole Alamo crew and...
And I always forget this guy's name, but Derell Brewer.
Rick Gibson, who plays the freaking guy, the guy with the spurs is just so much.
That whole thing.
And his dead pan is great.
That, oh, what is he's?
You give me the heibi-jib-jibis.
You love that.
I love that line so much.
Yeah, I mean, yeah, still enjoying it very much.
Still worried for everybody.
I like the idea of magic and Kitty getting involved with Maddie.
It just seems like fun.
That's exciting.
Their personalities all clashing together.
And especially her and,
magic having a bit of a second hand.
Because nobody speaks Spanish.
Exactly.
But, you know, so...
She's like, I get you, beat.
I'm understanding where we're going,
which I love.
Yeah.
So I don't know if Rue's going to have a head next episode.
I got to imagine she's not going to die right here right now.
But, uh, but yeah, and good reminder that like, her and Maddie meeting up, like,
for a one-on-one, I was like, oh, yeah, I guess you guys are actually friends.
But, uh, and, and, and yeah, Cassie, that last note with Lexi where she's just, like, so
excited.
like that and the scene where she goes to see Maddie.
Like those surprise me because like this whole time the question is,
is Maddie going to do something crazy to sabotage her?
Correct.
Or is she telling the truth in Bob's Big Boy where she really is just kind of zend out
and is like, you know what?
Cassie is going to Cassie.
Yeah.
And I'm going to Jesus apparently for Maddie.
And, you know, if she's going to walk out with my bag,
I will have some kind of negotiation tactic.
But if she walks away, then fine.
I'll figure something else out.
I'll move on, which I'm like, great.
I wish I, I guess I had a little bit of that.
If I was put in that circumstance,
I think I would probably be hurt and not get over it as quickly.
But cool.
Because yeah, Cassie just, oh my God, dude.
That whole exchange with her and Maddie was painful where she walks in.
I agree.
And yeah, talk about going to this other guy.
Oh, yeah.
And the whole thing, I'm like, I don't want to make it personal.
I don't want to do without hurting your feelings.
and like all like the whole way trying to absolve herself of being and like of not having an actual conversation about this you're my best friend like oh my god stop i'm like who are you there's no but there's no real person in here except the person we see at the end with lexie who's like who is completely non-registering any of lexie's emotion or or communicated experience she's just like it's i'm gonna be on tv isn't it's great everything's coming up mills
house you're like ah and the sentence she said when you know when lexie said you're the most narcissistic
whatever and she's like that's everyone who makes it in the business is like that and i was like you're
you're actually you're the words you're very that's very true you're the worst you have to be at that
level because you you really do not everyone but to make it i think to a very high level you have
to be willing to just not register other people's opinions and if they matter or not you have to
just be you.
Yeah.
And be like,
I'm going to
bulldoze over
everyone else
to get to where I am.
It takes a certain
type of personality.
It does.
She has that.
Yeah,
but Cassie is also very,
Cassie's very insecure,
though.
She is.
I'm very worried
that she's going.
I know.
One PA is going to say
something to her
and she's got to end up
crying in the bathroom.
Yeah.
Well, yeah.
And like,
oh, God.
I wonder,
again,
I feel like,
like she's the kind of character who will author her own destruction one way or the other.
Yes.
Regardless of who around her feels like they can, yeah, mutually benefit.
But, uh, I agree.
Oh, we'll see.
Props, again, props for, for the amount, like, Sidney, this is the most I've been sort of like progressively over the show.
Like, wow, you were really willing to go all in on this. And like, you know, it seems like they're creating freaking something here.
So, you know, it is, I can see.
the sort of like,
who director and muse thing happening here
in a way that's like kind of funky,
but also like fascinating
because again,
it's very go for broke.
And, you know,
I got to at least applaud the audacity
as a performer that goes into that.
I agree.
Anywho, any other sage pearls for the people?
No, I'm just excited
to see where these last three episodes go.
And, yeah, I don't,
I don't know.
I hope she's not dead.
Yeah, me too.
Me too.
Hope Alamo got the right length of pants on.
You know, if you got tiny pants, that just makes you look bigger.
It makes you look too big for the pants.
I was okay with the caprice.
We'll see where he goes.
He might become a Capri, man.
He's going to become a...
Maddie, that'll be the irony is that Maddie will talk him into the capris.
And then she'll make...
She'll have a beef with that other guy who's dressing him up till now.
Look at us.
There you go.
There we go.
She knows.
She's got taste.
She knows.
What's that?
Anyway, guys, thanks for joining us.
